Best DJ for a fusion wedding!

They will create the environment you want. We wanted to dance all night and they made that happen. They catered to our requests of playing songs we wanted and avoided songs we did not want to hear. We wanted late 90s and modern music that makes you dance. We also wanted Lebanese dabke music, Punjabi music, Indian music and Latin music. They played all of that! Kept us dancing all night! Highly recommend them to everyone.

If you’re looking for a company that offers it all, and more - you absolutely need to contact Pete and his team at Troy Entertainment.

We cannot recommend Troy Entertainment enough as the DJ. photo booth and up lighting choice for your big event. Pete, the owner, was fantastic to work with. He worked with us through not one, but two Covid postponements and never once added to the mountain of anxiety and uncertainty we were facing. Pete was professional, understood exactly what we were looking for in a DJ service and made our night unforgettable. The dance floor was packed the entire night and just when you thought you’d seen it all, props were brought out to further engage our guests. Pete listened to the music we wanted and the atmosphere we were trying to create and added his professional touches to make the night everything we wanted and more. If you’re looking for a company that offers it all, and more - you absolutely need to contact Pete and his team at Troy Entertainment. We can’t think Pete enough for making our day so amazing.

DJ: Troy Entertainment! A wedding day MUST!

Troy Entertainment is hands down the best choice you could make for your wedding day. From the very second we met Pete I knew it would be the right choice. Pete and his team are REAL people, who know how to help you have REALLY good time. I truly felt from out first meeting, he understood exactly our vision for our wedding reception. we had a wedding of about 290 guests, with all age ranges from 4 years old to 90 years old. My husband and I LOVE to dance and wanted our reception to be a dance party for all ages. Pete takes your concerns and requests seriously and makes sure you are a part of the DJ process, however at the end of the day, he is the professional and I knew he would keep an positive energy going. We had people on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG of all ages. Everyone was having a great time and Pete truly knows how to keep the dance floor moving and people smiling. I firmly believe our dream reception was largely in part due to our fantastic DJ, who we will forever call a friend :) In additional to the DJ services, which I could go on about for hours, Troy Entertainment also offers uplighting, photobooths and other unique accessories for you special day. We were lucky enough to have a "Robot" photobooth which was a HIT with everyone and caught some great memories. Very unique and helped make our day memorable. As I said, I cannot say enough good things about this company and Pete. Highly recommended 10/10

The Best - Bar None

Troy Entertainment - wow. What a team. It's 9 days after our wedding and we are STILL getting messages about how phenomenal the music and MC services were. We met with Pete back in January of 2018 and within minutes he had blown the other DJs we interviewed out of the water. His passion for creating a magical day for our wedding was evident within the first fifteen minutes of talking to him. Throughout the entire planning process, Pete was responsive, professional, and the definition of customer service.

Troy Entertainment provided the uplighting, the DJ services for the reception, the absolutely gorgeous mirror photo booth, and a custom monogram. In addition, there were flawless wireless microphones for the reception toasts and speeches, great dance floor lighting, and even a phenomenal light up jacket that one of my groomsmen ended up wearing for a lengthy period of time.

At the meeting before the wedding we were informed we would be working with Kim Troy for the reception, and let me tell you she was an absolute gem. She took the time to not only understand our wants and desires, but even recommended an uplighting color change the week of the wedding that we would've never even considered. For the wedding itself, the entire reception turned out flawless with Kim's announcing and pronunciations, and she did a GREAT job reading the dance floor, accommodating our Italian music requests, and making sure every one had a blast. She even took a last-minute announcement for my mother and I before the mother-son dance that I know made my mom's day.

The photo booth came with a guest-signed guest book next to their photos and this will be a keepsake for years. The mirror photo booth was a huge hit!

There are probably 50 more positive things I could say about Troy Entertainment, but I am confident that there were no better DJs in the state of Ohio for our wedding. If you're considering anyone but Troy Entertainment, you are making a mistake.

Pete & Kim - thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you helped turn our sporadic ideas of fun and beauty into a beautifully crafted masterpiece that we will be able to remember for the rest of our lives.

So much fun!

Choosing a DJ for a couple who loves to entertain and with friends and family in attendance who love to dance was a challenge, but Pete and Brian delivered! Months after our wedding we and our guests are still talking about what a great DJ we had. They really took our song requests and went above and beyond. There wasn't an empty moment on the dance floor!
Pete and Brian were also essential in coordinating and providing sound to our special musical guests for our classic, vintage wedding reception, Michael Sonata ( an amazing Frank Sinatra tribute singer) and the Dave Banks Big Band. Their sound really filled up the space and our guests filled the dance floor to this unique addition to our wedding reception.

Troy Entertainment is TOP notch. They provided the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour & reception as well as the up lighting in our reception space at The Blue Heron on 9/14. Pete was a pleasure to work with as we planned every entertainment detail of our wedding. We were never nervous- he always put us at ease that the party would be great- and it was! He kept people dancing all night- young and old! He is really great at reading the crowd, if a song wasn't working he would quickly switch to something else. The props were awesome as well, they really keep people engaged and give them something to do if they aren't comfortable dancers. We are so glad we went with Troy Entertainment for our big day, would recommend them to everyone!

Troy entertainment has the whole package! They provide options for photo booths or fun gadgets to have at your wedding that are such a hit. We worked with Pete specifically and it was pretty easy to trust his opinion with just about everything. He knew what kind of lights to use and music to play. He definitely can read a crowd! We got so many compliments on the mirror photo booth and the roaming robot as well as his music selection. Thanks for an awesome experience!

As Father of the Bride, I was extremely pleased with the DJ Services provided by Pete Troy of Troy Entertainment. I can honestly say it would not have been the same without him. The degree of professionalism was extraordinary right from the beginning when he met with my daughter & I, and focused on what The Bride wanted. He listened to her on everything from the music to the lighting, giving us an array of options from which we could customize our reception.
He promised my daughter her would deliver on her wishes. Pete provided a professional, elegant, first class event that was very inclusive of all of our guests, which was a diverse group across multiple generations and cultures. I particularly liked how the evening flowed seamlessly, with no awkward pauses or gaps. And my daughter loved that the dance floor was filled to the very end of the eve. The feed back from our guests was overwhelmingly positive. As Father of the Bride, it meant a whole lot to me that Pete delivered on his promise to my daughter to deliver a top notch first rate event, enjoyed by all in attendance.

We hired Pete Troy and his company 12 days before our wedding, and everything was perfect. He accommodated all of our wishes for music and moments at the reception on incredibly short notice. Further, everything he did musically or otherwise that was left to his discretion hit the mark. Nobody left the dance floor all night. People were telling me they were sore the next day from all the dancing Troy Entertainment had them doing at our reception.

Imagine that you are planning your wedding from 1200 miles away. Then imagine that you want to do something completely different - bring Texas to Ohio. Then, you decide that you are going to get married in 2 short months. As the groom-to-be from Texas, I had NO idea how you guys in Ohio do weddings. From the minute I met Pete, I knew he was going to make our day special. With little notice, he worked through the entire event with us. He even checked in with me on weekends to make sure that we had the best reception entertainment in Ohio. I would say it was the best in Ohio, or even Texas for that matter. Pete brought a beautiful blend of music from the classics, to the 80's, to some rare requests, and of course some good 'ole Texas Country. I booked Troy Entertainment for my daughter's sweet sixteen party. I met with Pete and after seeing video of events his company has provided entertainment for, I knew that Troy Entertainment would be the right choice. He provided the DJ, Photo Booth and Up Lighting. The Up Lighting really made the party center room look beautiful. The Photo Booth was a big hit, and the attendant helped make it that much more fun. She also put together a photo album, with comments from the guests that was presented to my daughter and the end of the night. The DJ kept the dance floor packed all night! The lighting and extras like glow sticks and streamers helped my daughter and her quests have "...a Blast!" For anyone looking to hire exceptional entertainment, by experienced professionals, I highly recommend Troy.

Troy Entertainment was by far the best part of our wedding! We chose them after multiple rave reviews from friends and family, and we could not have made a better choice. From the begging, Troy made everything simple and painless. The website they have set up for their customers to pick music and plan their wedding day timeline was so easily to use and helpful with planning. If I had any questions, Troy was just an email away, and always responded quickly. When we had our meeting a few weeks before the wedding, it was clear that we were in great hands and had nothing to worry about. The day of the wedding went perfectly, and all of our guests had an absolute blast.

Pete Troy from Troy Entertainment was our DJ. He was amazing! He met with a few times prior to our wedding to ensure we had everything we wanted. He provided a website where we could write our must play and no play lists and he played all the songs we wanted to hear. We had multiple guests comment on how great he music and DJ were. He brought a lot of props for guests to use and got everyone out on the floor. We were very happy with Troy Entertainment and I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.

I booked Troy Entertainment for my daughter who was out of town, and getting married at Weymouth Country Club, on New Years Eve. We had Kimberly as a DJ, and we also booked the photo booth. I cannot say enough about her, she was Awesome, I received so many compliments and the dance floor was never empty. Pete Troy himself Dj'd our wedding this past July! He was AMAZING!!! People are still talking how much they enjoyed the music! Troy Entertainment was PERFECTION for my wedding on 10/9/15.

Our DJ Kimberly went above and beyond with props from light-up sticks to streamers to YMCA outfits (unexpected but so great!), fun music and flexibility. She came over to the head table several times to check with the groom and I about how we felt the night was going and handled last minute change and surprises like a champ. Thanks to a concert downtown, we had to start the reception about an hour later than we had originally planned, but she kept us going to make sure we got through everything without feeling rushed.

The online forms that Troy uses really help to cement your plans and Kimberly called before the wedding to make sure she had pronunciations of names right.

I would 100% recommend Troy Entertainment to anyone having an event in the Cleveland area.

Troy Entertainment was very easy to work with, extremely responsive to all of my calls and emails, and our DJ Mike was awesome throughout the evening and kept the dance floor packed! I cannot say enough good things about Troy Entertainment! We first met with Pete to get details worked out and make arrangements for the "big day." We specifically requested DJ Mike because we attended a wedding where he was the DJ and we "fell in love" with his enthusiasm and professionalism.

DJ Mike was great! He was funny, helpful, understanding, and professional. We had a long phone conversation shortly before the wedding day to make sure we were all on the same page from our previous discussion. You can tell he's had plenty of experience because we would say one thing and he'd create the perfect explanation and scenario. It was a dream come true to not have one more wedding planning "stress" because we knew DJ Mike had everything under control.

Our dream became a reality. He was on-time, prepared, and he played EXACTLY what we needed/wanted for dinner music, introductions, and "party time." He kept the crowd going (crowd of ALL ages which I'm sure can be difficult to please the different generations.. but he did!).

We've been married for nearly six months and we are STILL hearing compliments on how great our DJ was. He "made" our reception. We've recommended about three newly engaged couples to go through Troy Entertainment with DJ Mike.

Mike (our D.J.) and Terry (photo booth) were absolutely wonderful!!!! We wanted our guests to have FUN...to dance and be silly in that photo booth. They helped to make our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding reception a night to remember!!!! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had that evening!
Our niece had also used Troy Entertainment for her wonderful wedding reception. It was the way that they got the people up and dancing and waving streamers and wearing funny hats that convinced us to use this same company when our daughter became engaged.
I can not believe that you would be disappointed by hiring Troy Entertainment for any event that you may be hosting.

My husband and I chose them because of all the great things his family had to say about their energy at his sisters wedding almost 7 years ago...Pete did not disappoint! He was professional from our meetings, to the introductions, to the music. He really knows how to play to the crowd! Our guests were on the dance floor all night! We had Kim and an assistant for our wedding. Kim did a great job, everyone complimented how good our DJ was. She came up to us a few times to make sure everything was good with us and ok but besides that she made sure everyone was having a good time. The ONLY thing negative I have to say is that the last song wasn't announced so all of a sudden the night just ended and many guests were upset about missing the last song. Now this isn't a game changer and we loved her but just something future brides should know to mention that they want the last song announced, we just assumed.
They also did our up-lighting and it changed the whole venue. I would absolutely suggest doing up-lighting and have Troy entertainment do. They did an amazing job, the color looked amazing. Just the touch needed for the reception.

Troy entertainment was a very professional company that provided a hight quality service. Online planning was easy to use and the owner was flexible in meeting our needs along the way. We had DJ Mike who I would recommend to anyone and everyone. He was absolutely amazing and made our reception the party of the year. Dj Pete Troy did an amazing job making our wedding reception fueled with fun, energy, and making the music selections so personal for my husband and I and our guests. First, let me thank Troy Entertainment and Pete Troy for making the night an incredible time for us and our guests. After talking to our guests over the last 3 weeks, they kept going on about how much of a great time they had, how much fun the music and DJ was and how beautiful the room was set up. I hope our review helps point those excited couples in the mad dash and search for vendors(it is quite the stressful venture, but fun). I am confident that if you make the visit to Troy Entertainment, review the comments and recommendations you will walk away impressed.

A background on the services we used and why:
We came to Troy Entertainment as a referral after we had already booked a DJ. We decided on having our wedding at The Galleria at Erieview and we were concerned about the sound in such a unique venue, we called many DJ's including the one we had booked and got many different answers. After meeting with Pete he made it clear why and how the sound will work in a venue like The Galleria, we trusted him with his expertise and professionalism. After having that conversation we felt confident in his ability to make our wedding "A Great Time" while utilizing his sound expertise, so we switched DJ's.

People never left the dance floor, it was filled all night and they provided some additional fun props to engage the guests. Most of our guests said they have never had a DJ like this and were so impressed.

We utilized the DJ service, additional acoustics, up lighting, can lighting to flood the room in pink (perfect job) and the photo booth. Just to note, we didn't make many requests for music as the bride and groom we left that up to Troy Entertainment to decide what to play and when, and they nailed it!

The best thing you could do is meet with Troy Entertainment, they are truly experts, professional and most importantly they deliver on their promises of making your wedding a great time.

Hands down best wedding DJ service ever. From start to finish, the whole evening rolled soooo smoothly. As the bride, I was kept fully informed all night if there were any requests that deviated from what we had planned. I really appreciated that. The guests absolutely loved the streamers and other dance floor props. It was amazing to see all age groups tearing up the dance floor together and never stopping. by the end of the night I had guests telling me "that I really knew how to throw a party" because they literally had danced all night long. It was quite the memorable party, many thanks to Troy Entertainment. We couldn't be happier with our decision and would highly recommend them to all of our friends and family without a second thought.

Troy entertainment was referred to me by a good friend that they used for their wedding. We used Troy entertainment for ours as well. I have to say as did many of our guests that our wedding was one of the best they've ever been to. The dj had everyone up and dancing. People loved the props and photo booth and obviously the music selection. The music definitely makes the wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better dj than Troy Entertainment.

We absolutely loved our experience with Troy Entertainment! There's a reason they come so highly recommended, and we're happy that we chose them for our reception. Troy Entertainment was the highlight of our reception! We received so many complements from people who attended our reception on how fun the dance floor was the entire evening. From start to finish, there was always a packed floor, with multiple age groups enjoying themselves. Our DJ, Pete (owner), sold us on how he can build a party and he completely delivered. Even the non-country fans enjoyed wearing cowboy hats and singing along when he brought those out. For anyone looking for a DJ who will make your party great from beginning to end, hire Troy Entertainment and they will not disappoint!

Pete - at Troy Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding downtown at the Cleveland Courthouse. Pete exceeded my expectations. He did the most amazing job all night long. Though I was nervous about how the acoustics would sound in the Courthouse, Pete's sound system allowed for the music to project, not echo, and let everyone here the speeches clearly. The music selection was perfect. Slow songs when people needed a break, and young music most of my friends like to dance to. EVERYONE was still there wanting more by the time the reception was over. Troy Entertainment is one of the best DJ's around. James was our DJ and my dance floor was packed the entire night. He took care of our "Do Not Play" and "Must Haves" and really listened to our imput. James was one of the first DJ's I've seen that read the crowd and reacted to what they wanted. One of my guests mentioned that James started a song and noticed people leaving the dance floor. He immediately stopped it and put something else on, without me or the majority of my guests noticing. I really enjoyed the fact that Troy Entertainment realizes that they are there for you and your event. There is no cheese, no radio voice, just a true emcee putting on a classy production. I would highly recommend Troy Entertainment to anyone.

first, I would like to say that choosing Troy Entertainment for my wedding reception was made easy. All of the country clubs and hotels we looked at kept telling us "you must go see Troy. When we met with them, instead of them telling us how great they are, they listened to what we liked and made helpful suggestions to make our wedding unique. We met with our DJ almost a month in advance to go over all the necessary details. They then contacted the country club, our photographer, and video company to coordinate with them. We simple showed up and had a lot of fun. Everything they said or promised, they delivered. not one person left early and even the staff of the country club ended up dancing. We'd like to thank them for the times of our lives and we got it all on video too. If anyone needs a recommendation from a groom or my bride let us know. They also helped us plan the event online which made it convenient since we were in grad-school at the time.

Troy Entertainment provided the entertainment for my wedding and I must say it was the best decision we made for our reception. When we started our online hunt for entertainment and came across them from referral, they suggested we meet and chat, and I can't thank them enough. They adapted to my preferences and my guests tastes wonderfully. As master of ceremonies they pronounced each of the names of the bridal party correctly and made sure the formalities went smoothly and the dance floor was filled right after dinner. Our friends and family had the times of our their lives and we didn't have to worry about anything before and during our wedding. Bravo to Troy and company! Troy Entertainment has done all my friends weddings and we refer them to everybody. These guys know how to make your nite fun. They kept the dance floor full and things moving along. I wanted to get the dancing started right after dinner and that's exactly what they did. They played our requests and knew what to play in between. I didn't want all that formal stuff and they were all right with that. Our wedding was one big dance party and they made it happen. Our parents and their friends had a great time too.

We appreciated the time Pete and his crew took to meet with us when we met and then later when we went over the details of our nite. If you get time go see them and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed the nite of your wedding. Thanks Troy.

Our wedding was fantastic. We were referred to Troy Entertainment by every wedding vendor we met. All I can say is do your research online, but then go see them at their home office. We learned the differences between DJ companies that way. I met with different DJ's and knew right away that Troy would be great for our reception. Pete and his staff really took the time to help us plan out the details of our night. They really helped a lot and made our reception unique by listening to us and offering advice based on their experience.

Troy entertainment assisted us throughout the planning of our wedding reception and that is big. We had a smaller guest list that included various age groups, and guests were from both near and far.They helped relieve my stress and we enjoyed every minute of our night. The cocktail music wasn't the same old, same old. Dinner music sounded great, then they wasted no time in getting people onto the dance floor. We never left the dance floor and our guests continue to say how great the party was. My husband who never dances was out on the floor, even the servers were dancing towards the end of the night!

I cannot say enough about them and I will refer them to all.

Troy Entertainment did the music and entertainment for my guests at my wedding last October. They were OUTSTANDING! They played my requests, kept my guests on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! First and foremost the original meeting with Pete and James was great! He kindly invited to his office which was beautiful and well kept. He listened to our requests and made some suggestions that helped us to better outline our event. His online music selection tool was great for my wife and I as we both have very crowded schedules.

Leading into the event Troy Entertainment was ALREADY set up, sound checked and playing as we arrived a few hours before our guests. The quality of the music/sound equipment was the best i have experienced. (i worked with a DJ in highschool that could only hope to do a presentation as nice as Troy Entertainment.)

I will be using their services for family parties, business events, and any other reason i can find to call in a DJ.

Working with Troy Entertainment was a blast. They are honestly the wedding experts. They acted as an operating unit to keep our entire reception on track and on pace. I have seen this company at a couple other weddings and I had to have them! They know how to keep the party going. The minute a song starts that empties the dance floor, they quickly change it so they can get everyone back up. Their website is great because you feel like you are really in control of what is played and what goes on. They have a lot of props and things that everyone remembers and talks about still. They were great. Everyone says that our wedding was one of the best they have been to and it has a lot to do with having 75% of the guests still on the dance floor until the last song.

Our venue recommended that we use Troy Entertainment and we were definitely glad that we went with them! Pete Troy was our DJ for the evening and did a fantastic job of playing the music that everyone wanted to hear (a mix of today's hits and hits from the past). He was very professional and led the reception seamlessly. We decided to use Troy Entertainment for uplighting as well and could not have been happier with the results. While potentially a little pricier than other options, after going to a number of other weddings, it's clear that you get what you pay for. Down the line, everyone is going to remember the lighting and dancing from our wedding, which made it worth it for us to go with Troy.

Troy Entertainment is by far one of the best DJ company's in NE Ohio. Troy entertainment is hands down the best dj in the northeast Ohio region. Pete and his crew did multiple friends weddings so I was able to see them in action. While planning my wedding I knew I had to have them be a part of my special day. If you are looking at price, Troy entertainment is on the higher side compared to other dj's you may find, but I promise you, you will absolutely get every penny worth plus more when you book them. I had a small wedding and he was able to get everyone on the dance floor the entire night. I had many friends there that had recently gotten married and they were envious of our dj! When it comes to your wedding you are able to cut costs with flowers, invitations, decorations, but don't do it when it comes to your entertainment. Everyone remembers the music and dancing. No one remembers the centerpeices!

Troy Entertainment was a great DJ and provided a lot of fun for all of our guests. Despite an issue that occurred only two days before the wedding, Troy Entertainment talked to us about it and worked out an easy solution as well as gave us a discount. The prices are a little high, but worth it. We decided to swing our budget a bit to get the photo booth and that was a huge hit with our guests as well as gave us a fantastic keepsake with a bunch of great pictures we can look back on and laugh about! The DJ who worked with us that night (Kimberly) was a great help at letting us know when we needed to do what and getting us prepared for what would happen next. It's a little nerve wracking when you've never been married before to know what happens when, so having her there to help us out was great!

We hired Pete off a recommendation from a friend. I think that Pete did a fantastic job at the wedding. He keeps the crowd involved, and he also suggested to us to be more open towards certain songs that we originally were not, which we hits - he truly knows weddings. We have been to other weddings that members of the team were hired for, and all were entertaining. There are two things that I was not 100% satisfied with - a. not all of our must play songs were played, however that could have been because of time b. my husband was disappointed that we did not always get a timely response, and often had to send another email or call again to get a response. Other than that, Pete and his team are the ultimate dj's! Hire them!

Troy was excellent! He truly went ABOVE and BEYOND to meet the specific desires and needs for our multi-cultural wedding! Additionally, his wife (and assistant) was REMARKABLE! She helped me with so much, including cutting the cake, directing me with what was going on, keeping me focused while everyone was pulling me in different directions, etc.

Pete DJ'd our wedding in October 2009. He is such a great DJ! Everyone commented on the fun props he brings (feather boas, YMCA costumes, ribbons, etc.) We had still had a huge number of people on the dance floor for our last song!!! He listens to your guests requests but will not play anything offensive. People tell us he is the best DJ they have ever seen. I would recommend his company to anyone needing music for an event!!

Pete did a wonderful job - we were thrilled. The dance floor was full all night and everyone we have talked to mentioned what a wonderful time they had dancing the night away. He keeps the energy up and the night on schedule, which was a huge help since the day goes so fast!

Everyone loved our DJ. Did a great job. My husband picked our DJ and immediately at our first meeting chose them! Lots of great reviews that you will see and they live up to it! Dancing all night long- never had empty dance floor!

We had James of Troy Enterterainment as the DJ for our wedding. We had a great preliminary meeting and felt he really understood what we were looking for. He looked very professional at our wedding and did a great job with introductions and keeping people on the dance floor. My guests told me that they thought he was great and had a nice variety of music. The only complaint I heard was that he did not really play people's requests, including the Father of the Groom. I'm sure discussing this with him before hand could eliminate that from happening.

Very good DJ

The music they picked kept everyone on the dance floor and set a very fun and lively mood throughout the duration of the reception. The dance floor was full from the moment it opened to the end of the reception. We found their website to be a little confusing and think it could be more user-friendly as it led to some confusion and miscommunications about what songs were to be played when with one song actually not being played during the ceremony. Overall, we were very pleased with our selection of Troy Entertainment as our DJ.

Unfortunately, was not as enthused about DJ Troy as many others have been. I understand our crowd wasn't a big dancing crew but he didn't seem to make much effort to get them out there. And he was hesitant to read notes from family unable to attend and made the request very awkward...never did get them read. The sound quality seemed very poor as well but I'm not sure if that was the venue or equipment. And he's not as eager to take care of things via email/phone when my husband and I are from out of town with limited time...not driving across town to go to his house for a second meeting. Just so you all know...you may want to think twice.

We had heard that working the Old Courthouse was a bit tricky because of the acoustics, so we looked for people who claim to have worked it successfully in the past. Pete assured us numerous times throughout the planning process that the equipment that he used would compensate for the potential issues. Come to find that it was not anything close to it.
The sound coming from the microphones was incredibly distorted and echoy, which meant that everything from readings to toasts to announcements were not understood by anyone, the bride and groom included. We had to ask for copies of everyone’s speeches because we had NO IDEA what they said. When we cut the cake Pete “announced it” twice but no one could understand what he was saying, so we awkwardly stood alone in a corner, and cut the cake. We understand that sometimes things are unavoidable, but claim that “everything is gonna sound great” and then completely not deliver is unacceptable. If our expectations had been better set, I don’t think we would be as upset as we are.
Pete was also quite rude at the wedding. For example, many of the guests, even bartenders, exclaimed that the music was too loud during cocktail hour and when the mother of the bride asked for the music to be slightly lowered he replied, "no” and “show me who said that.”
The things we did like about using Troy Entertainment were that first, they had an online tool to capture all the details of the wedding. However, even though we entered all of this information in correctly AND went over it with him during a meeting, on the day of Pete ended up incorrectly hand writing what we entered in - both the names and the order, even leaving some of the bridal party completely out. The second thing we did like was that he was very willing to help in our planning process, we met with him a few times even on short notice.
Overall it was a very different experience day of vs. planning, it was as if a completely different person showed up.
