Best part of our wedding, easy
The number one thing we've heard from our guests is how good the food was. Abigale, Michael, and their whole staff were total pros. They flexibly worked around venue requirements, easily managed dietary restrictions, and delivered the most incredible service and plates. They even brought us our own tray of appetizers to ensure we got to try everything. We trusted them so much. Can't recommend enough! -

We used Trillium Catering for our wedding at French's Point in Stockton Springs, Maine in September 2024. Our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding food they have ever had! The oysters, charcuterie spread and all of apps were incredible. The seated dinner was perfect. And the desserts!! It was too good to be true. The drinks were great as well - we loved our cucumber & rosemary gin & tonic and blueberry peach whisky sour signature drinks.
Not only is the food amazing, but Mike & team at Trillium are so easy to work and the service the day of was fantastic. Thank you for being part of our special day! -

If you are planning a wedding in Maine, do yourself a favor and book Trillium as your caterer! Our wedding was elevated to a whole new level of excellence thanks to their outstanding service and culinary expertise. We had the pleasure of getting the Trillium experience at another wedding and literally planned our wedding date around their availability--they are just that good.
From the moment we had our tasting (which was the highlight of the wedding planning experience), we knew we were in for something special. The food wasn’t just good—it was extraordinary. Every bite, from the appetizers (lobster rolls!!) to the desserts, left our guests raving.
The service provided by Michael, Abigale and their team was impeccable. They ensured every detail was flawlessly executed, and we never had to worry about a thing. During the cocktail hour, they made sure the we (bride and groom) were always taken care of, keeping our drinks full and our plates loaded with the most delicious appetizers. They even went above and beyond by sourcing a cider from Washington DC, where we first met—a truly personal and thoughtful touch.
We were genuinely sad when we finished our doggie bag containers of the wedding food; it was that memorable. We can’t recommend Trillium highly enough for anyone planning a wedding in Maine. Their exceptional food, attention to detail, and remarkable service made our day unforgettable. -

Trillium catered our June 2024 wedding and did an amazing job. For 150 guests, the food, appetizers and cocktails were all delicious. Guests raved that the food was better than most restaurants. The service was warm and attentive. Michael personally checked on us and our families during the cocktail reception and dinner to ask if we needed anything. I cannot recommend Trillium highly enough! -

Trillium delivered a masterpiece at our wedding. There’s no other to describe it. We are a couple that values quality food as a convener and a celebration of a community. We wanted to ensure that food - and drinks - were front and center at our wedding, so we chose Trillium and couldn’t have been happier about it.
Abigale & Michael were as professional and creative as they were kind and dedicated to us. We were wowed by the entire process - building a menu that reflected championed local ingredients on paper, workshopping and indulging at the pre-event tasting, and basking in the glory of it all on our big day. The experience felt like dining at a restaurant that swayed and adapted to the energy of the event. We can’t count the number of guests who came up to us and said “this is the best food at a wedding I’ve ever had.” We agree with them.
In addition to the seamless execution and delicious food, we can’t stress enough how kind and generous the team was to us (bride and groom) throughout, and especially on wedding day itself. Michael constantly controlled for quality and guest experience; Michael was the first person to welcome us to the reception, freshly prepared cocktails in hand. He also checked in on us, and our parents throughout the evening, bringing us all the food we may have missed. For our guests with dietary restrictions, he made of a point of personally personally delivering vegan entrees or gluten-free cake. The experience, the food, and the people are 10/10. We couldn’t recommend them higher. -

Trillium Caterers, Abigale and Michael, are excellent communicators, produce the highest quality product, and do it all with a smile!! As wedding farmer-florists here in Maine, we work with dozens of catering companies every season. In the last five years, Trillium has stood out as the best communicators, and very easy to work with! They were thrilled to receive a bucket of food-safe and edible blooms from our fields for a joint wedding we were both vendors on, and Abigale and I emailed back and forth about colors, shapes, etc. until she got just the right mix to use at the wedding. It's that kind of attention to detail that ALL couples want! Don't think twice; hire Trillium for your wedding catering!! -

We used Trillium catering for our wedding and I was absolutely blown away. I know I am biased, but I have been to 10 weddings this year and I think they are by far one of the best wedding caterers around. We were sadly unable to do a tasting so had no clue what to expect, but everything and I mean everything was delicious! All our guests were raving about all the hors d'oeuvres and how many options there were, especially the lobster rolls and oyster bar. The Burrata salad was the best starter, the beef was so perfectly cooked, and they even planned an extra butternut squash lasagna for me and my husband to try since we thought it sounded amazing.
The service and attention to detail was phenomenal. My mother was especially pleased when a server came up any time her drink was empty and refilled her glass with her stash of Pinot Grigio. Everyone at the bar was lovely to chat with and I don't think we waited long for a drink all night, and the drinks were very well crafted. All around the Trillium team provided amazing service for the whole event.
I was also not big on having a wedding cake but Trillium not only made a delicious two tier cake they also did bite size desserts that were delicious and the perfect treat for people to grab while taking a break from dancing.
I don't think a single person left our wedding hungry, but if they did there were pretzels and banh mi for people to grab on the way out. I just cannot say enough good things about all the food and drink Trillium prepared. -

Trillium is the absolute best!
From the wedding ceremony, where the welcome drinks were delicious; to the cocktail hour, where the mouth watering specialty cocktails, appetizers, raw bar, and charcuterie board each deserve their own separate thank you note; to the incredible feast for dinner… WOW the dinner. Everything was beautifully presented, perfectly proportioned, and DELICIOUS. As a very food-centered family, we still haven’t stopped talking about it. The blueberry crumb bars were the best blueberry bar I have ever had and I am pretty sure I will be dreaming about the steak for months, if not years, to come. All our guests made a point to say how amazing the food was and how much they loved the family style food service.
Their attention to both myself and my groom's comfort, ensuring we had all the beverages and bites we could ask for, did not go unnoticed. I was so happy to get all the tasty samplers and to break the hungry bride stereotype! -

Abigale and Michael and their INCREDIBLE team went above and beyond for us. They stuck with us for an (almost) 4 year engagement and through a covid rescheduling of the wedding. Every detail was beyond what we could have expected. The food and drinks were spectacular and it was obvious that SO much love and attention went into all of it. The energy from everyone at Trillium was incredible. We feel honored to have worked with this amazing crew of passionate humans and we will remember them as one of the highlights of our wedding day. Love Love Love. -

Delicious, attentive, & caring
Trillium was the BEST option to cater our wedding! Michael and Abby are not only two of the kindest and funniest people but they offer professional, timely, thoughtful, and DELICIOUS service, drinks, and food. The most common feedback from wedding guests was: “that was the best wedding food I’ve ever had!” Our friends are still raving about the spicy paloma cocktail, pork bun appetizers, and butternut squash lasagne. We had a large number of guests, but Trillium’s service made it feel intimate as everyone was thoughtfully attended to and well fed!
As the bride, they repeatedly came to check in on my needs for water, delicious appetizers, and to see how I was doing. We absolutely love them, their food, and their incredible service. If you’re looking for not only a seamless but also a delicious show-stopping catering service, Trillium is the way to go. -

With Michael and Abigale around, you know your wedding is in good hands. Hiring Trillium was the first, and best, decision we made about our wedding. From day one, Michael asked all the right questions and answered all our nitpicky questions quickly, clearly, and completely. He managed our rentals in a way that made those decisions very easy for us. We told him what we were going for generally and he set up an amazing, mostly vegetarian, menu for us. About that vegetarian menu: we were a bit worried that the meat-eaters might not feel satiated, but au contraire -- reviews came in from all segments of our raw vegan to mostly carnivorous guestlist raving that the food was outstanding, and not just in the "wedding" food category, but in the "high-end restaurant food" category. In the last weeks before the wedding, Michael answered all my emails within minutes. He was flexible as guest numbers fell with the rise in Delta variant infections. He developed a rain plan. On day of, when a fast-moving thunderstorm 30 minutes before the ceremony threatened all the beautiful cocktail and hors d'oeuvres tables they had put together, Michael's team saved the day, and the mezze bar. And about that team: they were all extremely hardworking and professional, smiling under their masks the whole night and making everything right for all our guests. Michael took special care of us and our parents, getting us apps and cocktails as we took pictures and looking out for us during dinner to make sure we were fed. Of course, we would have loved more Trillium food...if only weddings didn't go by in the blink of an eye! Luckily, their tasting in advance of the wedding at their prep facility in Belfast gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy all the amazing food ourselves in a lovely setting with the accompanying explanations and good humor of Abigale and Michael. I've no doubt this has been a crazy summer for Trillium, trying to fit in all the delayed weddings of 2020. Nonetheless, they made us feel special and at ease throughout our entire experience working with them. If you are having a wedding in Maine, you can make no easier or better choice than to hire Trillium. -

We were completely blown away by the quality of the food and service at our wedding! The communication with Michael and Abigale from the day we booked was clear, organized and timely. When we had our tasting a few months before our wedding, we left saying, "if the food is even half as good, we will be thrilled." But Michael and Abigale don't operate at anything below 100% and the food at our wedding was just as spectacular as the tasting. It is hard to cook steak "the right way" for a large group, but they did it to perfection. They also made sure my husband and I were taken care of the entire time. While we took pictures, Michael's team stood nearby to give us appetizers in between shots. Trillium is a class act all the way around, and by choosing them, we were able to elevate our wedding without much work on our end. Thank you to the whole Trillium team! You are an incredible bunch to work with. -

Words cannot even describe how amazing our experience with Trillium was! Everyone was in awe not only over the food itself, but the presentation of everything!
Michael and the staff came up to us throughout the day/ night and offered a plate of all the apps and always made sure we had a drink when we wanted one.
Abigale and Michael were so professional and responsive every step of the way during our planning process. We truly cannot thank them enough for how amazing they made our special day! -

Lindsay Sent on 02/10/2018Abigale and Michael were absolutely amazing and we credit them with creating the wedding we had imagined. The food was incredibly important to us. We were immediately impressed with the sample menus they prepared and were very happy after we had the tasting. What they delivered the day of was exceptional! People loved the cocktail hour and all the apps. And we're still hearing about how amazing the burrata salad was. Five months later our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the food was, with one friend saying "It wasn't just good wedding food - that was a good high-end restaurant-quality meal."
And on top of that, Michael helped us with all our rentals for our outdoor tented wedding. The day of, he made a point of making sure we had food and drinks and made us feel very cared for. It was a beautiful day that went off without a hitch and we cannot recommend Abigale and Michael enough! -

My new husband and I are both vegetarian and wanted to make the dinner during the wedding vegetarian as well, when we told Trillium this Michael said that their Butternut Squash Lasagna would have meat eaters not even missing the meat. My mom was skeptical and wouldn't let us only have the lasagna and no other protein - we agreed on a fish and the lasagna to make my mom happy. After our wedding we took a road trip and saw lots of friends along the way. We have been asking people their favorite part about the wedding. Most people cannot answer with just one thing but the food and in particular the butternut squash lasagna always comes up as one of their favorite parts. My mom was also hoarding the leftovers of the squash and made me email Trillium to ask for the recipe! :) Not only was the food phenomenal but the service was wonderful as well! Abigale and Michael responded to emails quickly and were always a phone call away should we need more discussion then an email. They made the experience of planning a wedding so easy that I thought I was missing out on not doing something, they are great!! I want to have another wedding just to hire them again and eat their food! Hire them, just do it, you won't regret it!! -

Selecting Trillium as our caterer was the BEST decision we could have made. My husband is in the hospitality industry (and many of our guests work in management at Michelin starred-restaurants), so we knew we had to meet a pretty high standard for food. Trillium EXCEEDED expectations - not only did they meet my terrible list of *actual* food allergies (my food restrictions would just make you cry, they are so frustrating - and Michael was just like, "We got this, here's what we can make!" as if it were no big deal! I was so stressed about this and Michael's response just took a huge weight off my shoulders!), the food was so great that people asked for the recipes after AND Michael shared the recipes with us (for real - I just made the soup on Tuesday)!!! People can't stop talking about our food, it makes me so happy :-) Also, a very key point: Unlike every other bride I have ever talked to, I ate one of everything at my wedding. Michael personally assigned himself to making sure I got allergy-safe food and brought me trays of everything like every 15 minutes, during photos and cocktail hour - I had pork lollipops and corn soup and just everything I could need, before I even realized I needed it. THEN, they brought us special plates during the reception (which was otherwise family style), so that we had all the food (allergen-free for me!), and still got to walk around and talk to everyone else while they were eating. The team even brought us cocktails regularly. We have high standards and this service FAR exceeded our expectations. They were so helpful in so many other ways, I can't even think of everything else: They helped us find an oyster vendor when ours cancelled at the last minute. They helped us find wine carafes and plan for serving a giant bottle of wine (we uncorked at 12-liter bottle of wine as our version of a cake-cutting - but that bottle is like 100 lbs, not easy to pour from, so they got us decanters to pour it into and bring to each table). Honestly, if you care about food and drinks and service at your wedding, Trillium is 100% worth every penny, they really are amazing - amazing food, amazing people, just exactly who you want to work with on your wedding day.
