We weren't getting married in a church but wanted to make sure our ceremony was filled with God and prayer, Richard delivered. He is kind, friendly and a wealth of marital wisdom. He printed very cute vow books which meant one less thing I had to do (thankfully). We definitely recommend!

Rev. Jeffrey and Tristate Weddings was absolutely incredible. From the start, Rev. Jeffrey was responsive, knowledgable and extremely kindhearted. We first scheduled a Zoom call and he took the time to learn about our relationship and presented several ceremony options. We essentially customized our entire ceremony, which made it very special and unique! During the wedding planning process, Rev. Jeffrey would touch base over the phone to offer guidance such as how to obtain our marriage license and certificate. The entire process with Tristate Weddings was seamless. Our ceremony was everything we wanted and several guests mentioned that it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever attended! We were lucky enough to have Rev Richard officiate our wedding and he did an amazing job! We first set up a zoom meeting where he really took the time to get to know us and presented us with all the options for how we wanted our wedding to be. We were able to pick exactly how we wanted the ceremony to be (wording and all) and even how long we wanted the ceremony to be which was really great. Being our first marriage as I’m sure it is for most of you, we really didn’t know much for what to do with things like the marriage license, etc. and he took care of all of it for us. Having someone like Rev Richard made our experience worry-free and resulted in an amazing day for us. We would definitely recommend him for any wedding and we are so thankful we had him!

The best officiant we could have asked for!
Going with Tristate Weddings was one of the best decisions we could have made! Our officiant was Reverend Jeffery Talavera who did an amazing job. We spoke to Jeffery a couple of times before the actual wedding and he was always so nice. We clicked immediately and honestly felt like he was a part of the family. Quite a few of our guests even asked us if he was a family member. He conducted himself with true professionalism but also let his great personality shine through. Great Experience
When we started our officiant search it was important to us to have someone who we felt could represent our backgrounds and would provide us with a customized wedding ceremony. During our initial meeting Jeff took the time to learn about us as individuals and our relationship as a couple. Asking various questions from our beginning to now. Jeff was easy to communicate with from the time we booked until we received our marriage certificate back in the mail. Though we ended up doing our wedding in English Jeff was open to doing the ceremony either in part or entirely in Spanish if we wished. We also love the personal touch keepsakes that Tristate provides for memories of our special day. Jeff will always be a special part of our wedding day and we’re so grateful!

Couldn't have asked for a better officiant.
If you found Richard Rodriguez as an officiant for your wedding, but you live across the country, fly him out to you. He's amazing. Long story short, my initial officiant was unable to make the wedding. I was personally very sad about that because we were close and I was looking forward to her being there. So finding someone to fill those shoes? Tough. We met with Richard Rodriguez and another officiant one night. The meeting with Richard lasted about two hours, but for good measure. He had so many questions. He is genuinely interested in the couple he weds, and it shows. I went into it thinking, "Sure whatever, anyone will do now", but I came out of the meeting thinking, "Wow, he's perfect, I can't wait for his part of the wedding!" BEST PART IS, the audience of the wedding kept coming up to us asking about him. Everyone loved his speech. Richard does an excellent job setting up your speech. He asks you to be involved from the beginning, so my wife and I essentially created the structure of the speech from some documents he sent us. He's beyond professional, very courteous, very invested in the couple, and overall just an asset of a person to meet in your life.

Reverend Richard Rodriguez made our ceremony. Our family and friends were constantly complimenting how beautiful the ceremony was and how great Reverend Richard was. We could not imagine picking anyone else. He was not just reading the words, but how he pronounced them, he truly believed in what he was reading. He spoke with passion. He took time before the wedding to have us on a Zoom call and no one else did that. He wanted you to care on who you were selecting to marry you. Everyone else was very transactional, and with Reverend Richard, it felt like we knew him our whole lives.

So grateful to Reverend Rich!
We had the true honor of having Reverend Rich marry us on 7/11/21. We didn’t have the privilege of knowing a friend or family who was ordained to marry us, so we searched for one online. When we met with Reverend Rich, we immediately felt at ease and as if he was part of our lives for years. It is easy to see that he cares about his work. Reverend Rich took the time to get to know us as a couple and was helpful in answering any questions throughout the wedding planning process and after. On our special day, Reverend Rich brought us all so much peace- not just to us, but to our guests as well! They were all wondering how we knew him. Reverend Rich is very professional and friendly. He also added some very special touches to our ceremony that our guests found unique and are still talking about! Additionally, it was very important for us that we had a bilingual wedding and he achieved everything we were envisioning. If you’re looking for an officiant, Reverend Rich is your guy! Richard from the beginning was someone we wanted to officiate our wedding. From the interview, he was very nice and very interested in our story. He also gave us some
encouragement and advice which was also very nice. While looking for a officiant, Richard stood out from the rest by the way he carried himself and how sincere he was. A couple

Rev. Richard was amazing throughout the whole process. He took the time to get to know us during our initial call and even gave us pearls of wisdom on how to live a happy marriage. My husband and I have even been using some of the techniques he taught us. He worked with us and allowed us to have control over how we wanted the ceremony to be performed and was flexible with all our last minute changes. We absolutely appreciated the patience and understanding he showed during the day of our ceremony when we had to have a late start. He performed a beautiful ceremony in English and Spanish (something that was really important to both of us)! He made our day extremely special.

Five Stars - Thank You Tri-State Weddings!
We planned our wedding on short notice and reached out to Reverend Richard about 2 months before the big day. He was unavailable for that day but recommended another Tri-State weddings minister, Deirdra. After meeting her on a video call, we were very excited to have her perform our ceremony as she was an extremely personable, warm, and positive presence. Reverend Richard worked with us to put together the ceremony step by step and was so helpful throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Deirdra performed an amazing ceremony that exceeded our expectations. Honestly perfect! Perfect from start of planning til after wedding day
We just got married and Reverend Richard Rodriguez was our Officiant who conducted the ceremony. He was amazing from the start of the process of trying to find someone to be marrying us. Through our wedding planning Covid hit, and he still always answered questions, did zoom calls, and also sat with us on zoom for 2 hours just talking, giving us advice and tips we’ll continue to use during our life time. He was always encouraging us on whatever decision we made regarding our wedding during Covid whether to go thru with it or delaying it. We decided to just go through with our wedding and Reverend Rich conducted our ceremony ( we picked out how the whole ceremony would go) and he spoke part of it in Italian. Rev Richard was great !!! I had to change my date because of COVID-19 and he made the necessary adjustments and assured me that everything was going to be ok and not to worry. He tailored our ceremony exactly how we wanted it. The day of the wedding he was prompt and patient as we were still awaiting guests. Professional and easy experience
We found Richard after our original wedding plans fell through due to Covid. We got married through Project Cupid, which was a little overwhelming and confusing, but Richard was very professional and pleasant as he guided us through all the steps. We got married over Zoom and the paperwork was made easy and straightforward. We cannot recommend him enough to any couple who is seeking to re-adjust and still get officially married while most things are closed/unsafe.

Reverend Richard was spectacular to work with. Our wedding reception in Chicago was postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19, and my now husband and I wanted to keep our original date and still get married but in NY. We received Rev. Richard's information from another Rev. in Chicago and within a few days we had an elopement ceremony planned in New York this July all thanks to Rev. Richard. He was prompt and professional with responses, and incredibly flexible when it came to planning the ceremony. We asked him the night before if we could move our ceremony from 4 to 7pm so we could look out at the sunset and he quickly agreed. Reverend Rodriguez was recommended to us by one of his business associates, and we couldn't be more grateful for him! My husband and I had been through a lot trying to reconfigure our marriage plans during COVID-19, and he made the whole process easier and much less stressful! We found him to be kind, reassuring, and professional. His Zoom ceremony was exactly what we asked for (i.e., nonreligious, very simple). I don't want to spoil it for other couples, but he provided a wonderful surprise the next day when everything was finished. Small ceremony
We had hired Rev Richard for our wedding, but when covid hit and turned things upside down we had to adapt. He will still be performing our wedding ceremony next year (on our postponed date), but we also had an intimate ceremony with our immediate family this year. A simple and perfect virtual wedding.
Rev. Richard performed a ceremony for my cousin years ago and I remembered it being just as she hoped for. I reached out to Rev. Rich during the COVID-19 pandemic to do the same for my husband and I. He was very flexible, from working with us on short notice to even changing the time the day prior so we could avoid rain during our outdoor ceremony. Rev. Richard radiated positive energy.
We set up a tripod, joined Rev. Rich via Zoom, exchanged beautiful vows and were able to sign and pay electronically with ease. It was a beautiful and perfect day.

Helpful and Amazing Experience
My family does not speak English and my wifes' family does not speak Spanish. Reverend Richard was able to do the ceremony in both languages! He made my family feel very welcomed and they were thankful to hear part of the ceremony in Spanish. Also, Reverend Richard is very personable and gives great relationship advice. Everything we wanted in an Officiant!!
Rev. Richard is attentive, professional, dedicated and passionate.
Rev. Richard met with us the summer of 2019 and we spent a good amount of time simply getting to know each other. He took the time to learn about my fiance ( ow Husband) and I. He offered great advice and resources for us to use as we prepare for our journey to marriage. Every time we had a question or simply wanted to chat, Rev. Richard was quick to respond.
Then Covid-19 changed everything. We had to postpone our wedding date (05.23.20) 3 times! Rev. Richard, made each and everyone of our date change work for him. He was extremely understanding. Finally, we decided to postpone our wedding celebration for (05.08.21)
You're probably wondering "how are you writing about Rev. Richard if you postponed your wedding for next year?." Well Rev. Richard worked hard to help us obtain our marriage license. We wanted to at least get married this year. Getting married was our priority.
Rev. Richard told us of a county that was still taking appointments to receive our Marriage license. We submitted our documents, got an appointment, and picked up our marriage license all within a week. The moment we had our marriage license, we called Rev. Richard and asked if he was willing to marry is via Zoom. He said yes with no hesitation!
We scheduled a zoom call with our family and bridal court. Rev. Richard performed a small perfect Zoom ceremony. It was short and sweet because we are saving the big symbolic portion of the wedding for our new wedding date next year (2021).
Rev. Richard will be performing the ceremony for that special day as well.
I am extremely happy and looking forward to working with Rev. Richard for our wedding celebration next May. Did I mention he is also Bilingual? He was able to perform the ceremony in both Spanish and English.
In conclusion, I highly recommend working with Rev. Richard. We cannot wait to write another positive review next year!

Great story!
My wife and I originally met Rev Rodriguez a few years back when we bore witness to my mother’s wedding. At the time my wife and I had been dating for a few years. Rev Rodriguez has slipped me one of his cards,
In a friendly manor, along with a “call me when you’re ready”. As the relationship between my, now, wife and I grew into an engagement, we had no question on who we wanted to officiant to be. Rev Rodriguez was not only the man to legalize our marriage but was also a great guide leading up to and including the day of the wedding! Highly recommend!!

Simply perfect
Reverend Richard made our "imperfect" wedding absolutely PERFECT! He was interested in us as a couple, genuinely happy for us and performed the ceremony we asked for with grace, proffesionalism and true love in his heart. I honestly could not have asked for a better officiant, Rich made our entire wedding very special and easy. He was always responsive to questions that we had. He met with us prior to our wedding and when he gave our ceremony it felt like an old friend that knew us. I couldn't recommend him more if you want your day to be special!

Wonderful Officiant!
Rev Rich married us on 9/14/19. He was great throughout the planning process and was always available to answer questions and give feedback. His process was very easy and we were able to customize our wedding to what fit us and our personalities. He is familiar with a lot of different unity ceremonies and traditions as well which is great. Overall we were very happy and would definitely recommend him!

Truly Awesome!!
Reverend Richard was amazing, He truly cares about the couples that he works with and takes the time to get to know them prior to preforming your service. We were worried that we would not find someone that we would feel comfortable with, but once we met Reverend Richard we knew we found the right person to do our ceremony. He also allows you to create your own ceremony, he provides numerous options for each part of the ceremony and allows you to choose what option you want, this allows your ceremony to personal to you! He arrived early and went over everything with us prior to the ceremony so there was no surprises. I would highly recommend Reverend Richard to anyone that is looking for someone to preform their wedding!!!!

Rich was super nice and made me and my fiancé so comfortable thru the whole process. We were quite nervous to speak in from of a large group of people but he assured us we would be just fine. Wedding Officiant
We booked Richard Rodriguez to officiate our jewish/christian interfaith wedding. I cannot begin to tell you how many officiants we either met with or spoke to on the phone or through email. It was daunting. By the time we got to Richard we were drained and dejected to say the least. We met with Richard in a Panera Bread to get to know each other and ended up sitting for close to 3 hours. He took the time to want to get to know us, how we met, why we are together, how do resolve conflict, how do we communicate, what our are plans for building our love for one another. It wasn't a sale. He didn't make salesy promises. His faith guides him. He is honorable and it was evident from every point of communication with him. We wanted a very multi-dimensional interfaith ceremony and I will tell you point blank the ceremony program he created for us was miraculous. I knew from reading it that on the "day of" performed in front of our friends and family it would elicit tremendous emotion...and it did. Richard did an excellent job. My jewish mother loved him. He recited the sheva brachot in Hebrew. For that alone he deserves a great review. He recited 1st corinthians with pride and poise. He was honestly sensational...and affordable, and on time, and professional. Moreso than simply officiating our wedding, my wife and I both hope to continue the relationship with him through his mentorship & counsel. Overall, a good good man.

Amazing Officiant
Rich was simply Amazing. He made us feel comfortable and listened to all of our wants for our ceremony. He has a quick response time and everytime, we made changes there was no issue. The day of the wedding he was on time and everything was so effortlessly smooth. I'm so glad we found him. So many people forget that an officiant plays a huge role in your wedding. I have no regrets at all! We even got keepsake program, vows, reader passage and a marriage license from Rich! I couldn't thank you for such a wonderful ceremony!!!! If you don't book him your missing out!

Reverend Richard Rodriguez is a God send to put it in small words.
We first met with him and we felt as if we were receiving pre-marriage counseling. The things he taught us, we have practiced till today and will continue to practice. Perfect service!
Reverend Richard went above and beyond for my husband and I. Our wedding plans were up in the air and changed drastically when my husband had a stroke 17 days before our wedding. Reverend Richard was understanding, patient, flexible, but also concerned and compassionate. He reached out to me while we were in the hospital and after being discharged home just to check on my husbands status. He was a real comfort during a very difficult time for us and having him perform our very intimate ceremony at our home for us and our families was very beautiful.

Wonderful Wedding Officiant
Rev. Richard was amazing to work with from the start. There's just something about him, he radiates warmth and kindness so it was easy to pick him for our wedding ceremony. He was responsive to all emails and took the time to Skype with us to get to know us before the wedding. He has a long list of different options for every part of your ceremony that you can pick and choose to make your ceremony really personal. He was more than happy to incorporate the ring warming and the tasting of the elements into our ceremony as well. The rehearsal went smoothly and on the big day, he did not disappoint! He really brought our friends and family together and we're so happy we chose Rev. Richard to perform our wedding ceremony! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant!

Absolutely amazing
Rev. Rodriguez was everything and more than we expected. He made the process of getting married easy and always kept up informed on the steps we needed to take so all our paperwork was ready on our big day. My favorite part about hiring Revered Rodriguez was that he video chatted us for an hour to get to know us, and then met with us for about 2 hours to talk/give us advice. During these encounters, it felt more as if we were talking to a wise new friend rather than a vendor. My husband and I were so grateful for his advice and feel comfortable reaching out to him in the future. Also, I was a little nervous about my vows and wanted to make sure they were appropriate. I sent them to Rev. Rodriguez and not only did he answer in a timely matter, but he reassured me and make a joke which made me laugh (this is how I started the morning of our wedding). He is a great, great man and you will be forever grateful like we are if you hire him. Thank you to our new friend, Rev. Rodriguez!
