This review is specifically for Melanie Haig! I did not have the opportunity to have Melanie at Trenton Country Club but at Old York Country Club but her services and professionalism were too suburb to not leave a review! From the moment we booked our wedding she was organized and excited for us, once we met she listened to our vision, and was very open to all of our ideas. During the planning process she was available and responsive the entire time easing any stress we had! The day of the wedding she was attentive and by my side the whole day! I was so grateful to have her there supporting me as well as ensuring that all the behind the scenes decorating and set up was going to plan. Even after the wedding she had everything cleaned up and ready to be picked up in boxes! She exceeded my expectations and more and any bride as well as Trenton Country Club will be so lucky to have her!!

This review is specifically for Melanie Haig who works at TCC now, but when we knew her worked at Old York Country Club.

Melanie is a phenomenal wedding planner. We originally planned to have our wedding in 2020, but had to postpone until 2021 due to the pandemic. Melanie was there every step of the way to provide us with whatever we needed. We had a very unique, science-themed wedding and Melanie had many great ideas that contributed wonderfully. We couldn’t have asked for a more calm, considerate, and well-organized wedding planner. If you choose Melanie to plan your wedding you won’t be disappointed! We liked her so much, we hope to utilize her for our next big life event :)

Trenton Country Club Brides - you are in luck! Our wedding was in great hands from day one with Melanie. She answered all of our questions during our initial tour, addressed our concerns as we confirmed details for our booking, and supported us through the entire year of the wedding preparation process. We navigated a tough situation with a vendor, and Melanie communicated and was transparent about her concerns and helped us feel comfortable with our decisions. My never ending lists of questions, excess of decor and last minute guest challenges didn't phase her. She always had a solution. On the day of the wedding we didn't have to think about anything - Melanie already had it taken care of. She truly let us enjoy our wedding as she handled the details and logistics - Thank you!

I had two weddings at Old York Country Club - once to elope with just our immediate families in 2020, and another vow renewal/reception with all our family and friends in 2021. Though I didn't technically have my wedding at Trenton Country Club, I wanted to recommend the banquet director Melanie Haig, who will be moving from Old York to Trenton Country Club in 2022 once Old York sadly closes. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Melanie. I heard so many horror stories of venues and coordinators treating COVID couples poorly, and I'm so grateful that Melanie stood in our corner and supported us through every step of our multi-wedding, COVID-crazy journey! It's not easy to plan a wedding in a pandemic, but Melanie guided us with a cool head and expert advice. Any place she goes will be made better by her dedication to the couples she works with, and she'll make sure your day is amazing and memorable no matter what. Thank you Melanie!

We had my son's Bar Mitzvah at the Trenton Country Club this past weekend. I thought the venue was amazing. The facility was beautiful, food was great, and the staff was a pleasure to work with.

Our wedding at TCC was the best - the staff really went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. I did not have one ounce of stress on our day because of them. I have gotten COUNTLESS compliments about the food (especially cocktail hour), and am so happy that we went with TCC to make our day what it was.

Superior service compared to many other clubs. The staff is professional and beyond helpful. They go well beyond in all areas of your event.

Recently hosted Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton, We vs. C Event and utilized multiple rooms during the event which can be a bit tricky coordinating a "moving event". The club did an excellent job led by Richard Portney.

The food offering were not only displayed attractively, they were so tasteful that the only complaint from guests was that "they ate too much" because everything was great !

I ask you "why go anywhere else ?"

This review is WAY overdue but totally necessary.

I could not imagine having had our wedding AND reception anywhere else. We worked, from day one until the wedding day, with Richard Portney, and I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that if you don't have Richard to work with for your wedding day, then you're nowhere near as lucky as we were.

Richard started our meetings off telling us how dedicated he was to making our day the best it could be, without us having to do much - because we should be able to enjoy our day. When I say he went ABOVE and BEYOND that role, I am not kidding.

The venue itself is beautiful. It's homey, and quaint ... the grounds are well taken care of ... the staff is amazing. Beyond that, it's a place where everyone truly cares. The day of our wedding, the ceremony was scheduled to be outside. It was a visibly GORGEOUS Autumn day ... blue skies, colorful leaves - AND, record breaking winds (figures, something has to go wrong haha). My husband (then fiance) built us a heavy-duty wooden wedding "Arch" to get married under, and it was beautiful. Three times before the ceremony began, it FELL OVER! Richard took it upon himself to go outside, and secure it into the ground so it wouldn't happen during the ceremony.

Before the day began, Richard was doing his final walk through of the venue to verify everything we had asked was done (because details are 120% his thing!), and he found that the wrong color chair covers were delivered (white instead of ivory), AND the vendor delivered them a wrinkled mess. Without even BLINKING, Richard got it taken care of (and, might I add, I had no clue this happened until AFTER the wedding) - we had crisp, clean, ivory chair covers and tablecloths like nothing had ever happened.

My florist delivered our centerpieces, and our bouquets and the bakers delivered our cake. They came at two separate times, so the greenery I wanted on our cake wasn't put on. HAVE NO FEAR, Richard looked at the photos I had given him ahead of time and saw it needed to be done, and did it himself!

My DJ got stuck in traffic on the way to the venue ... again, without even blinking, Richard took it upon himself to talk to the staff and keep our guests entertained in the cocktail hour space, while the DJ got set up, and it was like nothing happened.

Richard was there, every step of the way, from the beginning to the end of the evening (I mean, even as people were leaving - and then, the next morning for clean up). Everyone who met him, adored him, and saw how hard he worked. I'm telling you - the venue was beautiful, and amazing, and everything we had hoped for, and the food was delicious ... but, Richard made it the "flawless", most amazing day and we could NOT be more grateful.

If you're considering TCC for your wedding, I will ALWAYS recommend it ... and I will ALWAYS remember Richard as such an important part of the success of our wedding day.

Elegant venue, fabulous food, and very professional. Trenton Country Club exceeds my expectations every time. The entire staff works with you to create a special event that guests will remember. The Director of Catering was extremely knowledgeable and helpful from beginning to end and receptive to my requests. This was our second gala at Trenton Country Club and each one was unique with the same outcome a "wonderful experience."

The staff of the Trenton Country Club exemplifies courtesy and professionalism. In addition, suggestions were made in order to make my event cost effective.

TCC hosted one of my churches an annual events here. Everything was wonderful. Richard and his team went above and beyond with everything. The room was beautiful. The food was delicious. I’m so glad we choose them.

Excellent job! I recently had my wedding reception at Trenton Country Club and everything exceed my expectations. From the first time we met Richard through our wedding day their service was exceptional. Our wedding day was seamless. All our guests commented on how pretty the club was and how great the food was, especially the updated appetizer selections! The dance floor is HUGE and everyone was comfortably dancing all night long. Would definitely recommend to any future couple.

Great food, service and large dance floor made my daughters wedding reception a wonderful experience! Lots of delicious appetizers and use of beautiful outside patio space made the cocktail hour terrific. Dinner was great and the club has the largest dance floor of any venue we looked at. It was filled all evening. It was a pleasure working with Richard. He always answered any questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend the club!

We are very thankful to Richard and the entire staff at Trenton Country Club for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Richard made the planning process very easy and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. He also had the day planned out and timed perfectly so we could really enjoy every aspect of our wedding. He also worked to coordinate everything with our vendors which was very helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had working with Trenton Country Club for our wedding. Richard was incredibly helpful, patient, and detail-oriented. He worked so diligently to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. He checked in at several points throughout the night to make sure everything was ok with us. The staff who served our guests were incredible. They were professional, kind, and eager to help in any way they could. Trenton is such a beautiful location. Our pictures turned out beautifully. The food was delicious. Trenton does one wedding per day, so you do not have to compete with another wedding for space. If you are looking for a beautiful place and kind and professional staff to work with, have your wedding at Trenton CC!

Wonderful staff who helped us create the wedding of our dreams!!

Our early September 2016 wedding at TCC was perfect. I had never given any thought to what my "dream wedding" would look like--the only thing I cared about was for it to be in the summer and to have an outdoor ceremony. Rich at TCC gave us these things and helped us to build a perfect wedding that fit our personality as a couple.

Here are the best things about our experience with TCC-

1. Rich and the staff are very nice, flexible, and highly responsive via email and phone. In our final venue walkthrough a few days before the wedding, we completely rearranged the table numbers and locations and they made it so easy to do. On the day-of, all the staff were wearing ear pieces to communicate with each other. It made me feel like I was in a Jason Bourne movie, but reassured me that they were completely on top of it.

2. The grounds are beautiful. Our ceremony was outside in front of the main club building--it looked very classy (it's a beautiful white building with pillars and stone steps). We took photos before the ceremony on the grounds around the golf course and I was so happy that it does not look like your average golf course. There are bridges, trees, bodies of water, and you get to drive golf carts around to get to different photo locations (which was so fun).

3. We didn't want to give out party favors, but we wanted to add something extra for the guests. Rich had the amazing idea of having a french fry bar at the end of the night as guests were leaving. Literally the best part of the wedding (french fries are my fav). We had 3 types of fries (curly, regular, sweet potato) and all kinds of toppings including jalapenos, melted cheese, and malt vinegar *drool*. This made the night for so man people. Think about it- what is the one thing people want after a night of drinking and dancing??? FRIED FOOD TO-GO (we got forks and those french fry boats and were all on our way to the after party).

Our guests had an amazing time and we could not be happier.

Great venue for any event and have used it before!

Thoroughly impressed with the personalized and courteous attention given to us. From the start, our questions were answered promptly and courteously and we were always treated like a top customer. Because of this treatment, we never once worried about how our reception would turn out with regards to food, staff and coordination. Our guests all raved about the food and facilities and many have expressed how impressed they were with the service themselves!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The planning process went smoothly and the day of went even better! The food and service was great and the set up looked amazing! Richard was so great to work with, providing effortless top-notch service. His suggestions were a hit, people are still talking about our wedding. I wouldn't have changed a thing!

The Trenton County Club provides at no extra cost, free valet parking and your wedding cake! So, when comparing vendors, be sure to factor in these extra items. The Club staff is extremely professional and the chef can create any dishes you enjoy.

Although we have been spreading the word to others about the great service and beautifully kept facilities, our guests all raved about the food and facilities and many have expressed how impressed they were with the experienced staff and service themselves.

I highly recommend this venue. My organization used this as our 10 year anniversary/formal celebration and there was not a thing I realistically could say that didn't go smoothly. During the organization phase of planning this even every question I had was answered within 24 hours if no immediately by Mr.Portney. I also was unable to attend this event and they very easily transitioned into having another contact on site the day off and I was told nothing but phenomenal reviews about the location and how it's better than any other formal we've had and they would most definitely be interested in returning there.

Trenton Country Club shows to be very flexible to our needs and accommodated all our special requests.
The service provided during the event was outstanding and Richard Portney was excellent from the first time we met him, during all the selection of menus, table arrangements, recommendation of bakeries, etc. until the very end of the event. Always with a smile. All of their people showed great motivation to do well their jobs.
Additionally, this TCC is located in a very nice area and surrounded by green areas.

If it's in your price range, get a referral from someone who's had a wedding there recently. I offered myself to the club's catering director as a contact for seriously interested folks. That's how much I liked the place. (No, I don't get anything for it.) The venue is stately and kept in outstanding shape, and the location is superb. But the people are what puts the club a step above its peers They're A-1 down the line, including the most personable and helpful waiters and waitresses I've encountered in a long time. I'm a father of the bride.

The Trenton Country Club has always provided excellent service from quality of service to menu choices for our business events. In addition, the Catering Manager and his staff have always been responsive to our needs and requirements for our specific event.

I would highly recommend the Trenton Country Club for any special event. Richard and staff were amazing! All of my wedding dreams came true on 5/20/16! It was the most beautiful day and the club provided a gorgeous backdrop for our entire day. The staff were helpful and prepared for whatever it was a crazy bride could ask for. They were organized. Overall it was a great place!

The Trenton Country Club is a great venue for a wedding reception! The grounds are beautiful and great for photos. All staff are incredibly professional and helpful and Cammy is an ace at weddings. They were willing to work with us to achieve the perfect event. Food is always delicious-- people still comment about how great the food was to me. I used one of the companies they recommended for music and they were also a hit (EBE Entertainment- London Calling). TCC works with Cramers for the wedding cake and the cake was delicious and beautiful- they are a bakery that my family has been using for many years and TCC picked a great partner. They worked with me to do signature cocktails that were a major hit.

I also had my bridal shower at TCC, which was lovely, and am about to have my baby shower there. You can tell I am impressed and would certainly recommend as I keep going back.

Everything TCC did went perfectly and was exactly how we wanted it. My only complaint is that I didn't get a chance to eat all the great appetizers I picked (and everyone keeps telling me how wonderful cocktail hour snacks were) !!!!

Event staff was incredibly helpful. It was a perfect night!

I cannot say enough good things about Trenton Country Club. They were so helpful and accommodating from our very first meeting all the way through the last minute of our wedding. The wedding coordinator was so great to work with to make sure our wedding planned out exactly how we envisioned it and within our budget. On the day of the wedding, everyone made sure everything ran smoothly. Our ceremony ended up being shorter than expected so we all arrived (220 people!) about 20 minutes early and TCC handled it with perfection.

TCC was incredibly responsive before and during our bat mitzvah planning. The event was outstanding and the food and service exemplary. Both of my parents were in need of additional assistance and Cammy made sure that the servers were available to help with all of their needs, so I didn't have to worry.

We received rave reviews from all of our guests. Our wedding was everything we had hoped. It was a pleasure working with Trenton Country Club and Cammy.

Richard was an exceptional coordinator. He was available for questions and clarification, made accommodations when needed, and gave us an amazing experience! Even when some lighting issues arose last minute, he was right on it and told us what he could and could not do. Never flustered, never frustrated--actually the opposite. We may need a bigger venue next year, which makes me a little sad because I want Richard to be in charge of all of our corporate events! Top notch.

As we began our venue search, the first and only place we saw was the Trenton Country Club. The Club speaks for itself. I am here to speak for Richard. From our initial conversation, Richard made me feel like our wedding was the only event of the season although he was juggling 12 in 1 week. He knows weddings and he knows how to keep any bridezilla at bay. He is sweet, professional and calming. Richard has it all under control and didn't allow us to worry about anything. We had a fun night and it is all thanks to Richard!

I was very satisfied with the venue, as I have been there before for an event and loved it. This is the first time I have hosted an event there and Richard Portney, the Director of Catering, was VERY helpful and reasonable. The service was great and the food was delicious. Trenton Country Club offers a beautiful setting for an event, so it's a place any couple should check out as a wedding venue. It offers full service, from choosing napkin colors to valet parking to working with florists and photographers. The staff is very professional and leaves nothing to chance.

Richard was wonderful to work with as we planned our wedding all the way across the country from Seattle. We were able to do most communication by e-mail and some by phone. The location was perfect for our family and friends--elegant, but not too stuffy. We would absolutely recommend using TCC as a wedding venue!

An excellent place to have a wedding and reception

I love the country club and our wedding was beautiful. Although I was not happy with the catering manager, the rest of the staff did an amazing job. The food was good and the atmosphere was great.

This vendor has been great to the local Police Department in helping us with our yearly golf outing!!

The food and service the day of the wedding was amazing! The staff was amazing as always. Each table felt like they received individual service that made the experience that much better. Our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. e served the crab cake and the steak. My husband is from Maryland, therefor half of our guest were from Maryland and were crab cake aficionados. EVERYONE raved about how good they were. We still hear about how good the food was almost two years later. We also served individual warm chocolate molten lava cakes which came out amazing. They were able to serve almost three hundred of these individual cakes warm and delicious!

I do highly recommend having a wedding planner. This would have made the day go much more smoothly. The head of events was no where near as efficient or responsive as you would like for planning a wedding. Leading up to the wedding, communication was a challenge. Many very important details for the day of the wedding where over looked. I felt as if I needed to remind her of multiple aspects of things previously discussed throughout the day. On your wedding day, you should be able to sit back, relax and feel confident that all details are being taken care of. Unfortunately, I did not have that feeling. I think that hiring a wedding planner, at least one for the day of the event, could easily make the day go by much smoother.
