Great cake

The cake was great and beautiful. I actually only got a chance to try the piece we cut, but thought it was very good. Our guests complimented on all the great flavor options we had and how delicious it was.

Beautiful and amazing

If you have ever had Trefzgers, you know it’ll be amazing. As a bride, before I could even think about going to get a cupcake, there were literally just a handful left. By the time we had brunch the next day, all of our cupcakes (I bought enough for each person and then some) and our three tier cake were gone. Everyone raved how amazing it all was.

Trefzger’s is a TREAT!

We have a somewhat unique request in that we want a “donut cake” for our breakfast reception. Trefzger’s owner, Martha, was responsive, helpful, and even had pics of previous similar cakes she had done. We met with her at the bakery and sampled delicious cake flavors for the small top cake. We are excited to book this local treasure!

Trefzger’s made our wedding cake, and we could not be more pleased! We both grew up in Peoria, so we knew we wanted Trefzger’s for our wedding, but we could not have imagined how great they would be! We met twice with Martha and talked to her several times on the phone, and she was SO helpful and so sweet! She even made a custom cake flavor for us, because we really wanted champagne cake with a strawberry jam filling. She made a sample for us to try, and it was AMAZING!! We ended up doing a small cake in the champagne & strawberry flavor, as well as 2 other cakes with different flavors and fillings, as well as a groom’s cake, and there were maybe 3 slices of cake left total at the end of the night—people LOVED all the flavors, which were all delicious, and we’re still getting compliments on the cake! Martha and her team delivered the cake to our Princeton, IL venue the day before the wedding so our florist could decorate it, and they worked so well with our venue and coordinator to make sure everything was ready to go! We’re so happy we could have our favorite bakery as part of our wedding day, and we can’t recommend them highly enough!!

Trefzger's Bakery did an amazing job on our wedding! Not only did we order a three tier wedding cake, but we also ordered cookies and cinnamon rolls for snacks. Everything looked and tasted wonderful! We highly recommend them!

Our red velvet cake was excellent and affordable. We only wanted a cake for cutting, and they were happy to do so without pressuring us to upgrade.

We had a three tiered cake and a groom cake for our wedding. Both cakes looked great and tasted wonderful! We were very happy with our choice!

Trefzger's made our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding last weekend. They did a great job. Our cakes were made in a birch wood style with hydrangea cupcakes. The dessert table looked beautiful and they tasted great too. Everyone was impressed with how nice they looked. I would highly recommend Trefzgers.

I was very satisfied with having Trefzgers as our wedding cake vendor. The consultation with Martha went smoothly and she designed the cake to be exactly what we wanted - simple and elegant. The cake samples we received were all so good, which made deciding on flavors a difficult task! We went with a 3 tiered cake and it was beautiful and delicious!

Trefzger's provided our wedding cake and I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments we got on it!! We tried cake at about 5 bakeries before deciding on Trefzger's and I was so happy with our decision! They create beautiful and delicious cakes!!

there a lot of reviews here that sing the praises of Trefzger's. I will write a more complete review after my reception, but the cake tasting was very well done. They had different flavors of cake prepared with different fillings and frostings. It made it very easy to think about what I might want to do. Best part - I had pieces of cake to take home after and share with some folks who had to miss the tasting! The company is quite responsive and was very amenable to having correspondence by email since I am Deaf and it can be difficult to make phone calls.

Martha was great to work with. We had a cupcake tower, with five different flavors, and had high compliments on all of the flavors. They delivered and set up the cupcakes, which was a tremendous help. Highly recommend this bakery!

They are willing to do anything you ask, I explained what I wanted my wedding cake to look like and they did that and much more! I was very pleased with their business.

Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and of course, tasted fabulous! They turned my ideas into a beautiful lace tiered cake with roses on top. Just absolutely stunning. I even sent them an image of the logo we used on our wedding invitation and they were able to put it on the cake. We have always adored Trefzger's goodies, but our wedding cake made us absolutely fall in love with them! Trefzger's is a must have for your wedding cake if you are in the Central IL area!

The wedding cake for my daughters wedding was delicious! Martha envisioned exactly what my daughter had in mind for her cake. It was beautiful as well as tasty.

What could be better than a Trefzgers wedding cake? I had a small in-home wedding, so I didn't need a tiered cake, and I was able to order directly from the counter. We had a mouth watering white buttercream frosting with vanilla cake and a fudge filling. The cake was moist and rich, and the decoration was lovely. At Trefzgers suggestion, we also added 'pixie dust' to the finished cake to give it a shimmery finish. It was beautiful and tasty!

We loved how Trefzger's took our thoughts and designed accordingly. It was beautiful and delicious. The service was above and beyond. Definately will use Trefzger's in the future.

Trefzger's was amazing to order our wedding cake from! We had an appointment with Martha and she really seemed to get what we were looking for, and the cake turned out better than we expected! Typically, my groom doesn't like wedding cake, so I knew he'd be hard to please, but he was threatening to have the cake guarded so he could have it all to himself! The cake was delivered on time and was set up beautifully. I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks Trefzger's!

I cannot say enough good things about Trefzger's Bakery. Their service, value, and flexibility were AMAZING. We designed our cake and they made it come to life. Simply put, I recommend them 110%!!!

We went non-traditional and had a cookie wedding. Everything was Chritmas themed and the crew here was as excited about it as we were. They made sugar cookies, butter cookies and gingerbread men. The gingerbread men were the hit of the wedding. So soft and tasty!! Thank you for adding special touches to our wedding cookies. The guests still talk about them!

Although I didn't get to have a piece of cake at our wedding, I was told that it was very good! The cake looked beautiful, and just like the picture that I had taken them. I was hesitant to call Trefzgers in the beginning when I was getting quotes because I figured that they would be the most expensive because they are so well known in the Peoria area. Well, turned out that they were the cheapest... and we were very happy with their work!

Our cake was perfect. I found the design online and brought it to Martha, and she was very interested in trying it out. It was something new for her, but she was excited to make it! At the reception, everyone kept commenting on how cool our cake was. At the tasting, we could not decide between the flavors because they were all incredibly delicious. I would highly recommend Trefzger's for your wedding cake! They surpassed my expectations on all accounts, and were great to work with.

I was very happy with the cake. It was really impressive that they delivered even though it was a small cake. They have a long history and I understand why. Once I picked out what I liked (and they had lots of options), I didn't have to worry about it any more. They took care of everything to do with the cake perfectly.

My cake was beautiful and delicious! I had about 5 different cake and filling combinations and they were all wonderful. We received so many compliments on the cakes. We highly recommend Trefzgers for their cakes, customer service, and value. We had enough cake to feed 400+ people and the cost was so reasonable.

This is the best wedding cake in the world. Seriously. I have tried so many bakeries across the country and nothing has come close. If you're looking for one of those crazy artsie cakes that usually don't taste good, this is not the place. Wedding guests remember how the cake tastes more than the looks so I would suggest going to Trefzger's where the cake taste is superior.

The cake was so beautiful and so tasty. My only regret is that my husband and I didn't get to eat more that what we had when we did the cake cutting. Luckily there were a few pieces left over.

My wedding cake was simply beautiful, I didn't imagine it would look or taste the way it did. I got a lot of compliments on the cake design and taste. I would refer them to anyone.

Trefzger's has the best cake in Peoria! Martha was great to work with. Very quick to respond to emails and even worked with my florist to get my cake decorations right. Also offered suggestions on how to save money while still getting the cake we envisioned. We LOVED our cake. Very fresh, very delicious and absolutely beautiful!

Overall, we were very pleased with Trefzger's. We chose the bakery primarily because we love their baked goods and decided that taste was the most important aspect for us. The meeting with the owner was in the middle of the bakery on a busy day and she did a basic sketch of what I described and showed her, so we were crossing our fingers that the cake would look okay. On our wedding day, were blown away by the final cake! Not only was our cake delicious, but it was gorgeous! Trefzger's accommodated our somewhat unusual request for "wedding doughnuts" to be served as a late night snack with coffee (in our wedding colors with wedding sprinkles) and they went over really well with our guests. They also coordinated with our flower provider to have flowres placed on the cake at the reception space. Though our interactions didn't exactly instill confidence in us, the end result was above and beyond what we expected. I highly recommend Trefzger's.

We met with the wedding cake designer to make our topper cake... We had cupcakes for the guests from elsewhere. One meeting gave ideas for cake. Three months later had wedding and cake was there and looked great.

It's Trefzgers....what else needs said?! We did 3 different flavors of cupcakes for our reception and the guests absolutely loved them. Martha was great to work with, very friendly and professional. Pricing is very comparable to other bakeries in the area, so don't even bother going to the others....go to the best!!

Trefzger's provided good service and their cake was delicious! We didn't get a slice at the wedding but we received compliments on how good it was. Also, very reasonable and they were willing to work with us. We received the cheapest quote from them opposed to other vendors in our area that we spoke with.

We were very happy with our cake. It was exactly what we had asked for and it tasted great. They are difficult to get a hold of over the phone, but once we got an appointment they were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

Cake was amazing everyone enjoyed it tremendously. One thing that they do have a bit of a problem with is responsiveness. I was on the phone for 15 - 20 min one day on hold to just ask a simple question. Other than that we were good. Very wonderful product and service!

They worked with us so well! We had a few unique requests and they were more than willing to try things out to make sure we got what we wanted. They said they'd never done a cake like ours before and we were all very pleased with the outcome! They never tried to talk us out of any of our requests, they only did their very best to make sure we got what we wanted. Not only was our cake unique and fabulous, I have never had such delicious cake in my entire life! Many of our guests commented on the cake and how beautiful it was and how wonderful it tasted!

We ordered 300 filled cupcakes and a small 2-tier cake from Trefzgers for our wedding. These were one of the most talked about items at the wedding. The cupcakes were delicious and looked wonderful! Martha at Trefzgers was very interested in our ideas and brought all of them to reality. The price for everything was extremely reasonable...much better than I expected. Area couples should definitely have Trefzgers at the top of their list for wonderful wedding cake!

Trefzgers is a good caterer, but they tend to be a little slow. I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for my initial appointment, and had difficulty contacting them on the phone. That being said, their cake is absolutely delicious. Once we established a relationship with their wedding coordinator, everything went flawlessly.
