Absolutely obsessed with the hair & makeup

I had the best wedding on 9/28/23 thanks to Ela and Marah doing the bridal hair & makeup for me & my girls. They were amazing!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

My makeup held up through all the happy-crying during my wedding ceremony & reception.👰‍♀️ My hair held up through all the dances and choreographed lifts and dips as well as my non-stop dance-jumping late in the reception. 💃🥂

The bridal love loft was absolutely amazing. They let us use their steamer, so all my bridesmaids could get out the wrinkles in their dresses. They also had a table set up for us to eat at in the bridal loft which was really nice.

The best wedding hair and makeup!!

Sharyn and Justyna are the best!!! They did hair and makeup for my sister and I for my wedding and they absolutely killed it. They were attentive, patient and so kind. Would highly recommend 🤍

Top Notch!

My wedding was 9/15/24 and Marah @marah_beauty_makeup and Justyn @justyna_hairupdo did our hair and makeup. They were both incredible! Everyone absolutely loved how they looked and was thrilled with the finished product. Both Marah & Justyn listened and took feedback on what each person wanted for hair and makeup and absolutely nailed each look with perfection.

In addition to these two experts in their trade, I think it is important to note that they are also incredibly warm, friendly, professional and so very easy to work with. It honestly was like an afternoon hanging with girlfriends and having a beauty day. I wish I could do it again!

Amazing people & great results!

We hired Sharyn to come and do our hair/makeup before my best friends wedding. They came and did hair/makeup for nine people. Everyone absolutely loved how things came out. They were super friendly, fun and efficient (we were ready early!!).

Would absolutely hire this crew again, they were fantastic!

Kind & Accommodating

I’m a forgetful, last-minute kind of person, so planning a wedding often felt like an Olympic event. Less than two months before my day, I realized that I was waaay behind on a couple of major vendors… hair & makeup included! I found A Touch of Color here and reached out, but was prepared to be turned down, since their work is so gorgeous and I was a cutting it close… Shary got back to me right away and got me in for the test run! This team is wonderful, and the look they put together for me was subtle and natural. It was the prettiest I’ve ever felt, which is exactly how you should feel on your wedding day. Highest recommendation for A Touch of Color, they rock!!

A Wonderful Experience

Shary and her team were incredibly easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. I heard about Shary and A Touch of Color through a family friend. When I reached out to Shary, she was extremely responsive, helpful, and kind. She clearly outlined the process and different considerations to think about for hair and makeup. When I came in for my pretrial, both my hair and makeup artist listened attentively to my hair/makeup ideas and also provided helpful suggestions along the way. Shary and her team were very communicative leading up to the day and the day of. The Touch of Color team came to our hotel suite in the morning and everything went super smoothly. D, Ela, Marah, and Rachel were so friendly and talented. They also kept me and all of the bridesmaids organized and on schedule to ensure we were ready on time. I could not speak more highly of Shary, D, Ela, Marah, and Rachel. Highly recommend for both hair and makeup!

My Wedding Day

Shary and Ashley truly did a great job with my hair and makeup for my wedding and added a special touch to my wedding day! They also made my bridesmaids, flower girl, and moms look beautiful! My wedding guests commented on how beautiful my hair and makeup looked and that I was glowing and looked stunning! We were able to relax and bring drinks and snacks. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Shary and her team for your wedding!

Incredible team of talented HMUAs

This team was fantastic. I had a huge bridal party and extra girls getting ready with me on top of that. We had to be out the door early for a morning ceremony and they were able to get to our hotel right at the crack of dawn. They were so good at understanding my individual style and preferences. I actually got to feel like myself on my wedding day. I was also really happy that 20 hours later, though the ceremony, the reception, the after party, and an impromptu after after party, my hair and makeup still looked perfect!

Fantastic Travel Team

I had an incredibly talented travel team help get my girls and I ready for my big day. The team arrived early & were very prepared ( even to be greeted by my chocolate lab). Ashley did an outstanding job with everyone's hair. We had one girl who had very short hair and was able to work her magic. Not to mention the amazing job Shary & Jess did with everyone's makeup. They worked with us with what we wanted or envisioned, even with some last minute changes. I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis, but boy did I get a ton of great compliments throughout the day and days after the wedding! Everyone did a stunning job! I would highly recommend Shary and the bridal team! They are reasonably priced, fun, professional, talented and all and all a down to earth bridal squad. Thank you again for amazing job, Bringing out my features and looking gorgeous on my wedding day!!

Amazing Make Up Crew

I hired this vendor for make up only and they did not disappoint. They came to our hotel room fully prepared and early to make sure they had time to set up and get everyone done. They ended up doing 13 faces and everyone loved their make up by the end of the day!
I cannot even begin to express how stunning and flawless I felt. Jessica NAILED my make up. She really made me feel like myself but like, 2.0 version. I didn't feel like I had on too much make up at all my skin felt light and airy and just, perfect. They were incredibly professional, helpful, and efficient. I could not be happier with this experience and I want to send a massive thank you to Jessica, Ashley and Sharyn for hooking me up.

Beauty, Stress free, & Professional

Shary and her team did nothing but a fabulous job on my wedding day! For the amount of ladies needing to be done, Shary was on schedule (if not ahead) and made us immediately all feel welcomed. She welcomed us into her beautiful studio salon with homemade treats, a stunning lounging area, and music ready to go for us. At one point, I was not crazy on how one of my bridesmaids hair turned out. As soon as I said something, they fixed it with no issues and everyone looked stunning. Everyones hair & makeup, including mine lasted the entire day and night-making for beautiful wedding photos. I am beyond happy I went with A Touch of Color Make-Up, as they made me feel relaxed, welcomed with open arms, and all stylists were phenomenal with their skills.

Hire A Touch of Color!

I was very impressed with Sharyn and her team. I don't often wear a lot of makeup, and she was extremely helpful, offering her professional opinion and helping me choose the look I wanted. I loved the way my makeup came out and was equally impressed with how well it lasted. My guests kept commenting on how my makeup looked great through the entire reception (and I was on the phone dance floor a lot)!

Shary was also very accommodating, offering me a complimentary second hair trial when the hair stylist that was originally going to do my hair could no longer do it. Ashley was my hairstylist the day of, and my bridesmaids and I were so impressed by her skills. She took vague ideas my bridesmaids had for hairstyles and turned them into unique and beautiful hairdos. I can't recommend A Touch of Color enough!

Expert Make up for a beautiful day

I loved working with Sharyn and her team for my hair and make up for my wedding. My hair and makeup were beautiful! It was the perfect balance of feeling like myself and a bride. All of my bridesmaids had their makeup done too and they did a wonderful job of tailoring the makeup to everyones personal preference. Everyone looked radiant and like their best selves. Sharyn was very detailed following up to make sure I was pleased with the trials and to make sure all of the details were in place for the wedding day.

Amazing crew!

Shary and her crew did a fabulous job doing hair and makeup for my wedding day! They are so welcoming the minute you walk into the studio. Beautifully done bridal makeup

I hired A Touch of Color for my September 2018 wedding. Sharyn and her team were wonderful! Sharyn was super accommodating when I needed to change time and even went above and beyond and purchased latex-free glue for lashes since we had an allergy. Sharyn did an amazing job on my makeup and I couldn't have been happier.

Shary is so, so sweet. She is a longtime friend of my husband's family which is how we initially got connected. Her studio is absolutely charming and it reflects her bright and warm personality. Shary and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Shary really listens to what her clients want and everyone looked amazing at our wedding. The week before the wedding my mom, sister, and I all got eyelash extensions which came out awesome! On the day of the wedding, her airbrush makeup lasted all night, and everyone felt super glamorous. Her team of hairstylists, Marlem and Anna did a great job with 9 updos and even finished ahead of schedule. Shary and her team were so efficient and helped us start our day in such a calm and fun way. Shary was even sweet enough to stay a bit longer after everyone’s makeup was finished so that my photographer could get some pictures. She was also able to send a team of stylists to the hotel where the groom’s family and other guests were getting ready. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A Touch of Color for a wedding or any other special occasion!

I was so happy with the team at A Touch of Color! My mom, maid of honor, and I had our hair and makeup done at home. The team was able to travel to our home to do hair and makeup, took their time with us, and truly made us feel like princesses! From beginning to end, Sharyn was perfect to work with. She has a calm personality which helps with your own nerves. I was able to share my ideas throughout the trial (since I'm so indecisive) and she worked so well making the perfect look for me. The day of, she was on time, did everyone's makeup on schedule. Everyone was VERY pleased with the end results. I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist to share my special day with. She also did the makeup for my sister's wedding and my best friend's wedding party in 2011. I remembered loving her then and she's still great now. My wedding was NYE, 12/31/17.

After having a makeup trial with an artist that I was super dissapointed with I luckily found Sharyn! She listened to everything I wanted and gave me a classic vintage makeup look for my wedding day that I was extremely happy with! She traveled for me and my bridal party with her hair team to glam us for my big day! I had sherry and her team do my makeup for my wedding on 01/21/17. There were seven bridesmaids, my mom, and me who got our makeup done. She came to my house and did our makeup in a timely manner and we all looked soooo beautiful ! The make up stayed on all day and all night !! We all received so many compliments !!! Sharyn made sure my make up was exactly how I wanted it for my big day. I normally don't wear a lot of makeup and she did a natural look that made me feel beautiful without feeling like I was hiding behind makeup. She came to the hotel I was staying at and coordinated with my hair stylist to get all my bridesmaids and I ready. I was planning and coordinating everything for my wedding from the other side of the country so Sharyn's responsiveness and flexibility was greatly appreciated! She squeezed me in for a bridal makeup trial during one of the few trips I was in the area.

Sharyn is beyond talented at what she does and her team is incredible. Upon entering her salon/boutique I was instantly happy with the ambiance of her establishment. Then I had the opportunity to meet her and she is just a wonderful person and a bride's dream come true.
Put me at ease right away, very personable, and asked me a few questions previous to my makeup trial about myself and where I'm getting married (inside, outside)...
Next thing I know, I'm looking in the mirror and I never felt so beautiful. She knows how to contour your face and make it picture ready for a sunny day.
Now getting to the day of my wedding, she not only brought that incredible energy of hers, but also a very talented, professional, and great team! Yet again, she put me at ease right away. The bridal party looked gorgeous, (including the two moms!) and I felt incredible.
My hair was exactly what I had hoped for, and could not be more pleased than how everything came together. We danced all night, even shed a few happy tears and I still looked as I did before the wedding.
Thank you so much for adding to our already wonderful day. I highly recommend Touch of Color Make-Up, even if it's not for your wedding! She is multi-talented and also does hair, lashes, classes, the list goes on!

Sharyn was amazing! I felt beautiful on my wedding day! She was very flexible with me in the weeks leading up to my wedding and made me feel very comfortable. Even the morning of my wedding when I woke up with a bright red irritated eye, she calmed me down and gave me some tips to reduce the irritation. Everything turned out great because of her!

For my wedding I called Shary, the owner, and she put me in contact with her stylist, Marlem. Love Marlem! I had my trial at their salon in Shelton, CT. I loved the way my hair came out I decided to book her right away with out researching other hair stylists. Planning with Marlem was easy and stress free. For an additional fee she brought along a second stylist. I'm so glad I decided on this, because we stayed on schedule. They did 8 ladies' hair, including my grandmother. All the ladies' loved their hair. Definitely look into Shary and her staff! You will truly be in good hands!

A Touch of Color Make-Up by Sharyn Scully was wonderful for my wedding. I went for a hair and make-up trial and the experience was so positive and professional. I was really impressed with how they listened to my request for a natural and flawless look for make-up while at the same time helped me determine the best hair style for the big day. After doing hair and make-up trials with other vendors, they truly were the best and met my every need. The prices were beyond reasonable too. The day of my wedding both Shary and Marlem were AMAZING. I loved how my make-up and hair came out and so did my bridesmaids who looked really pretty as well. I first met Sharyn when I was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. When I got engaged and planned my wedding, I went directly to her. My mom is very particular about makeup and how it feels on her face, but even she was comfortable with the airbrushing. She did an incredible job for my entire wedding party, plus additional aunts and friends who wanted to be glamorous for our big day. She was super fun and easy to work with. Everyone's makeup was flawless, even through tears. I'd go back to see Sharyn in a heartbeat!

My 5 yr old daughter attended a "Monster High" birthday party here. The girls hair was done and special makeup was applied to make them look like the characters from Monster High, they had their nails done and they loved it! They enjoyed crafts and pizza and it was a blast for them! Would definitely recommend for a fun time that's not your run of the mill party!

I took my daughter to a birthday party at A Touch of Color Make-up for seven year old girls. The party was perfectly planned and kept all of the girls engaged and happy with hair styling and make-up (Monster High was the theme!) to making t-shirts. The room provided was beautifully decorated and is like a dream come true for a birthday party. I definitely plan to have my daughters birthday there for her 7th birthday! She could not stop talking about it!

Sharyn is one of the nicest people you will meet. Making you happy is what makes her happy, and that really proved to be true on my wedding day. Her prices are very reasonable, and she uses airbrushing which I loved! We had a pre-trial where I brought pictures of what I wanted, and she was able to create beauty on the fly, and tweak things as we went along. I booked her for my 5 bridesmaids, my 2 mothers, my 3 flower girls, and myself. She traveled to me, and was on time, as well as prepared with anything that we needed. She was able to do everyone's make up and made them all look glowing. No one was overdone or underdone, they looked perfect for my wedding! I was fortunate enough to have had my make up done before by Shary and had never felt so beautiful, so it was without question that I wanted her to do the same for my wedding. She is so incredibly talented and was able to make my wedding make-up look flawless along with each of my bridesmaids and mother-in-law. Sharyn did the makeup for my daughters wedding. She did an amazing job and has a perfect eye. I contacted Shary last minute and she was able to squeeze me in! We met for the make-up trial and I was impressed in how well Shary took the time to get to know my own personal make-up style and colors I preferred before/ during the make-up application. I will be honest...I was dreading searching for a makeup artist! I am about as low maintenance as they come and mascara is where my routine begins and ends. So when it came to the most important day of my life, I was so nervous that I wouldn't look like ME.

I had heard about Shary with Touch of Color Makeup by word of mouth. She was so accommodating in planning a trial for me months in advance (since I live out west but was getting married in CT, I was only in the area for a short time prior to the wedding).

I brought in some photos for reference but immediately upon entering her gorgeous studio, I knew I was i was in the right place. She used airbrush makeup and even applied fake lashes but somehow it all looked so incredibly natural. The best part was that I woke up the next morning after forgetting to wash it off...and it still looked perfect!!! I couldn't believe it!

When the wedding day came, Shary arrived on the dot and was an absolute blast. She honestly felt like one of the girls the whole day, and my bridesmaids were actually sad to see her go! My group of girls are similar to me in their natural makeup preference and I was just blown away by how incredible they looked.

Shary is worth every penny and more...so talented, so fun, so professional. She was an absolute delight to have be a part of my day.

Sharyn was wonderful! She did an absolutely beautiful job on my makeup that lasted all evening through very humid high temperatures. I have a problem with redness and thanks to her application, you can't even tell how hot it was in the pictures! She also drove over an hour to do just my makeup (which not many artists will do!)
She is super friendly and makes you feel relaxed and pampered on a day that can otherwise be stressful, I would highly recommend her!

Shary is just wonderful! I would highly recommend her to anyone. She did my make-up for my engagement pictures and my wedding and both times, did an incredible job. She asks you questions about what you normally do for make up and goes from there, so you feel comfortable and beautiful. Her studio is gorgeous... almost like a girls dressing room! Candles, Make up, Beautiful Tea cups, very vintage, just LOVE it! 10 Stars for Shary, you cant go wrong!

Shary is amazing!!! My makeup looked so awesome on my wedding day. I had so many people comment on how great it turned out. I also had eyelash extensions done, which still look great 2 weeks later. My sister, who doesn't really enjoy having her makeup done also loved sitting in that makeup chair too. She is so easy to work with. I would really recommend having that done for your big day as well. Shary is extremely nice, and you have to check out her cute little studio too, love it!

Shary was so great to work with! She did a wonderful job on my make-up for my wedding and knew just how to apply her products within my style. She can do any look that you are looking for and is even helpful with giving suggestions. I couldn't be happier about how my make-up looked the day of my wedding, even better my make-up looked freshly applied all day and all night - I didn't have to freshen up on anything! Shary did my mom's and sister's make-up as well and they loved it! Shary is the sweetest and most warm person I know, you really won't be disappointed if you choose her as your make-up artist.

I can not say enough good things about Sharyn! She is excellent at what she does and is a very kind patient person. We did my trial for the wedding and I went for a bright red lipstick that looked great but the more I thought about it in the weeks to follow the more I started second guessing myself. I sent Sharyn a message and she was quick to reply that I could come back any time and we could "play" with all the color I wanted until I was satisfied. We ended up picking a more neutral color and I was amazed at how flawless I looked the day of the wedding. She did all of my bridesmaids and my mothers makeup as well and they all looked stunning.

I can't say enough about Shary! She did my mom, MIL, SIL, and bridesmaid and me all the day of the wedding, and we have never looked so beautiful. I rarely wear make-up, but my photographer suggested I get airbrushed for the wedding so the pictures would be flawless, and it was so worth it. I couldn't believe I could look so beautiful and that is exactly how a bride should feel on her wedding day! Shary was wonderful, easy to get along with, and really good at what she does. I was so lucky to find her!

Sharyn was wonderful for both my pretrial and my wedding day. She was there on time and provided beautiful airbrush makeup for both me and my family. She took her time with each of us. We could not have been more happier with the job she did. She even put a little bit of blush and lipgloss on the young jr bridesmaid at no extra cost.

Shary was absolutely amazing. When I went for my trial, I had no idea what direction I was going in, I had a million pictures of several different ideas. She took into account every aspect of the photos that I liked and did not put any makeup on me before telling me what she was doing and why she was doing it. For a control freak like myself, this made her heaven sent. My trial was amazing, I booked her that day for myself, my two maids of honor, and my mom.
On the day of the wedding, Shary came well out of her way, a good 45 minute drive. She was on time, which is more than I could say for myself. With a slight car situation and problem at the hair salon I wasn't sure anyone was even going to be at the house to let her in...obviously she could have been peeved with my lack of organization but she just went with it. It all worked out and she didn't have to stand on the porch.
My sisters, the maids of honor, and my mom are not big make-up people so they wanted limited makeup on the day of the wedding as well. I've never really believed that people can wear makeup "without looking like they've got makeup on," but Shary proved that way wrong. My sisters and mom got exactly what they wanted, as did I.
I got amazing compliments all night about the 4 of ours makeup. The makeup stayed put for the entire evening as well. Shary was at our house around 9am and the makeup looked barely touched by 11pm that night...amazing!
Aside from her cosmetology skills, which are unmatched, her personality shines. She wants to get to know her clients, we were all so comfortable with Shary the moment we met her. She loves her job, she loves being a part of your day. Some people told me not to worry about getting a makeup artist for the wedding, but it is undoubtedly one of the BEST uses of your money you could possibly use for that one day and it's even better if you choose Shary to be a part of that day.

Shary did my makeup for my wedding day along with most of my wedding party. On the morning of my wedding, while Shary was doing all our makeup, one of my sisters who did not plan on having her makeup done decided that she would of liked to have done hers. So Shary did an additional person that she didn't not plan to do, with no hesitation. And she also at no charge put a little makeup on my 9 year old niece that was in the wedding. Not only does Shary do amazing makeup, she is so friendly and willing to make your day as special as it should be.

Shary was awesome! She did a great job with me and my friends. She showed up right on time and even redid my eyes after some tears when my husband had a surprise gift sent to the house. She was very flexible scheduling a trial and wanted to make sure I was happy with everything before she was done.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer before my wedding and I wanted her to feel good on my wedding day. I was looking for a makeup artist that not only did bridal makeup but also had experience working with cancer patients who were undergoing chemo. I was so happy to find Sharyn Skully! Sharyn also was highly recommended by photographer who had worked with her on several other occasions. Sharyn is a very nice person and excellent makeup artist! All of my bridesmaids makeup as well as my own makeup looked flawless and really lasted the entire night! Sharyn really made my mom feel comfortable and she did a wonderful job on her makeup!

Sharyn is so sweet! She came right to our house to do our make-up. She did an amazing job! Was not too much, but definitely not too little. Very attentive to what you like and don't like. Everyone asked where my make-up was done! Great job!

I would highly recommend A Touch of Color Make-up by Shary Scully. Shary is fantastic to work with and is extremely talented at what she does. Her work is amazing! Shary was very respectful of the fact that I don't usually wear alot of make-up and she was able to create a look for me that I was more than happy with. My make-up lasted the entire day (from 10am-1am) and it was awesome to not have to worry about it. She also went out of her way to help us with a last minute injury to a member of our bridal party who unfortunately received a black eye the day before the wedding. Shary covered it up beautifully, and you would never have known that there was a black eye underneath! We will always be grateful for that! Thank you!

Sharyn was great from start to finish. She covered up a huge tattoo and my makeup looked amazing. Whenever I contacted her she would get back to me within an hour or less. She is great dealing with kids. I had my two little flower girls get their makeup done as well. I would highly recommend Sharyn to anyone looking for a makeup artist.
