Great Vendor

We used Total Events Entertainment for our wedding at Tyde at Walnut Beach in Milford. Jay Raven was great to work with throughout the planning process. We had a few calls to go over everything for the wedding. Our DJ was Edwin who was very friendly and great to work with as well. The music selection was awesome as we did give them a lot of discretion based on our few calls we had. The audio equipment they used was great, the uplighting was amazing and the Magic Mirror was very popular among guests. We highly recommend using their services.

DJ Edwin was absolutely fantastic, we could not recommend him highly enough. He was so responsive and organized throughout the entire process and provided exceptional service. We have repeatedly received high compliments regarding his service from our guests- he was able to make the dance floor lively and brought all of the great hits and more. Perfect Wedding

Total events CT were absolutely wonderful to work with! They were clear and responsive to all communications and their online portal let us totally customize everything about our wedding. Jay was super helpful in all the meetings leading up to the wedding, and on the big day Edwin was a perfect DJ! He had every generation dancing the whole night and kept a great variety!

Reception perfection!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jay Raven and the Total Events CT team for our wedding reception, and they truly made our big day unforgettable! From the moment we reached out to inquire about their services, Jay Raven was responsive, professional, and incredibly accommodating.
The DJ, Edwin, had the perfect balance of energy, charm, and musical expertise. He kept the dance floor full all night, reading the crowd and seamlessly blending genres to keep everyone dancing and having a great time. Our guests raved about the music selection, and we couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack to our celebration. The transitions between songs were smooth, and the overall vibe was nothing short of perfect.
Additionally, the photo booth was an absolute hit! It added so much fun and personality to our reception, giving our guests a chance to let loose and capture silly, joyful moments. Amazing!!!

We hired Total Events and they did not disappoint. The DJ Matt kept the teens dancing and engaged and Sean the photobooth attendant brought props and even asked what the theme was and brought some props to go with his sports themed party. We will be reaching out to them again in the future.

Great choice in Total Events!

We made an excellent choice going with Total Events for our wedding! The owner Jay did a wonderful job providing us with information and answering questions we had along the planning process. Our day of DJ, Matt, did a phenomenal job! He did a wonderful job making sure to cover all the music we hoped for, as well as checking in with my husband and I throughout the reception to see if there was anything else we’d like. He kept the party going all night, paying attention to the vibes in the dance floor. The uplighting was a great addition as well to keep the party going. They truly helped make our day everything we dreamed of!

A Winner for Music!

I went to a summer backyard wedding in June 2024 for my best friend from college and now that I am planning my wedding, we are using the same vendor, Total Events! Such an easy pick, the music was perfect and the photobooth was such a fun surprise; so many options! Great atmosphere!

My brother got married on October 12, and retained the services of Total Events. From the very start, it was a wonderful experience! Matt did a fantastic job setting the mood as guest were entering, with a fantastic mix for cocktail hour. He handled the introductions and first dance seamlessly, and was terrific about taking requests and keeping in constant contact with my brother and new sister-in-law! The dance fair was full all night with a great mix for all of the guests - older, younger and everyone in between! The photo booth was a smash, too. Jay and his team nailed it. Highly recommend Total Events and DJ Konsept

Working with Jay and DJ Konsept was the best decision we could have made for our music needs for our wedding on 10/19/24. From start to finish, Jay and Konsept were so easy to communicate and collaborate with. DJ Konsept was very flexible with meeting the needs of my husband and I, as we were hoping to find someone that would understand we do not love being the center of attention. And he did just that, always checking in with us throughout the day to make sure we were comfortable and knew what to expect. He even was flexible in getting feedback from us during the reception when we were dying to hear a certain song or wanted to adjust the color of the uplighting. I definitely would recommend Total Events and DJ Konsept to book as your wedding DJ!

The Soundtrack to Your Biggest Day

This review is long in coming (6/29/24) and most definitely deserved. Working with Jay was easy from beginning to end. Communication was always clear and consistent, and Total Events’ interface (the company website wherein you create your profile and curate the soundtrack to your wedding) was very easy to use and actually made the process enjoyable. As a radio DJ, host and presenter, Jay is approachable, professional, funny and loves/knows music. Total Events’ DJs are also talented and detail-oriented, based on our experience with John Cardona. We handpicked almost every song for every aspect of the day, and it was ECLECTIC to say the least. After a few short calls to discuss during the planning, John made it all flow flawlessly, and seamlessly filled in the blanks where he needed to (if that doesn’t make sense to you right now, trust me, it will). He had a better handle on the order of things than we did on our wedding day—which took a lot of stress off of us. Our wedding was all about great food, wine, people and music. That last one sets the vibe, cadence and tempo of the whole day, and, Total Events helped us nail it. I can go on, but will end by saying that they are personable, professional and collaborative, and I recommend their services 100%.

Book Total Events Now!

Working with Jay and Matt (DJ) from Total Events was a wonderful experience! They were very communicative, flexible, and friendly. Matt made sure our wedding day went very smoothly and ensured that he played the music that we requested! Our dance floor was a BLAST and that is due to Matt's skill and attention to the crowd. Most Amazing Experience

It was an absolute breeze working with Jay for our wedding a few weeks ago. His online form is so organized, easy, and well prepared. Jay is so fun and easy to work with, he makes the process easy without any worry. We had the honor of working with John as our DJ and he was the BEST! He had everyone on the dance floor all night and made sure he played a variety for everyone. We added uplighting which was set an amazing scenery all night. The lights changed all night and gave club vibes to keep everyone partying. The Photo Booth workers were so nice and even partied with us sometimes. They were all pretty much family by the end of the night. They created an amazing book with all of the pictures taken which was so nice to look at the day after. We had such a great experience with Total Events I would book them 100x over again. Thank you so much for everything you do!

Would definitely hire again!!

We hired Total Events for entertainment for our wedding last weekend, and we couldn't be any happier with our decision! Jay was extremely helpful during the planning process, especially when it came to picking out specific type of music, and he was always (and I mean always!) available to answer any questions we had. Matt was our DJ, and he did an excellent job at the wedding. He played the songs we had specifically requested and even went along with the vibe of the room when it came to picking out different type of music. We kept it classic while throwing in different types of music so everyone would have a bit of their own taste as Matt made sure everyone had a great time, and even all of our grandparents were up & dancing all night long! We also took it a bit further and booked a photobooth, which ended up being a huge hit! The workers Devan & Jayson did a wonderful job with making sure every guest got their pictures in for us and they even put together a lovely scrapbook with the extra copies of pictures & had guests signing the pages next to their pictures so we could have something to take home with us & look back on! My husband and I are extremely happy with the service Total Events had provided to make our night as perfect as possible, and it was worth every penny we spent! Did I mention the prices are reasonable as well?? We would definitely recommend Total Events to anyone that's looking for entertainment for their events!

DJ Sean was the BEST

The whole team at Total Events was amazing from start to finish. Jay is so kind and responsive - he answered all of our questions and really helped us plan everything we needed for our wedding without any stress. The best DJ services out there!

We are so lucky that we booked with Total Events. Jay and Ari made sure to meet with us multiple times and really took our opinions and ran with it. Our DJ Ari was incredible. Awesome entertainment professionals!

We spoke to a few entertainment companies before deciding on Total Events to provide our DJ, photobooth, and uplighting services on our wedding day. Jay at Total Events was the most professional and organized of anyone we met with, and we were pleased to work with him throughout the process. Jay matched us up with John Cardona as our DJ who did an amazing job on our wedding day, playing all of the music we requested and keeping the energy going throughout the night.

Total Events provided us with a login to their website to add songs for both the ceremony and reception. There was also a section where we could provide information related to announcements such as introductions, dances, cake cutting, the bouquet toss, etc. which enabled the DJ to keep the timeline of events moving along smoothly throughout the entire evening. It was easy to use the website and during meetings with Jay and John we were able to use it together to ensure we were all on the same page.

We also used their open air photobooth which included props, a guest book, stickers, and two attendants who set everything up and helped the guests throughout the night. Our guests all loved the music and the photobooth and so did this bride and groom!

Another feature that was helpful for our venue was the addition of extra uplighting. Our venue was a moody, darker, romantic atmosphere so the option to add extra uplighting was especially helpful for the photographers. Thank you to Jay, our DJ John, and our photobooth attendants for making our wedding reception into exactly the party we wanted it to be!

Great Company!

This company was great to work with! From the first meeting to the last, they were nothing but accommodating to what we were looking for on our big day. Our DJ Edwin was excellent! We got so many compliments from our guests about the atmosphere on the dance floor. Total events for the win

If you are a bride and need help deciding on who to go with for DJ/lighting TOTAL EVENTS is the company for you. Jay Raven is extremely professional and wiped away all my worries. They are so thorough and organized. You are provided your own website and select all the songs you want to play from the start of the ceremony to last song of the reception. Music is picked out and played for mom/son dance and father/daughter to music to play while cutting the cake. So thankful I found this company. Jay is a great guy. We had DJ John. He was amazing! We nailed our father daughter dance with the help of John playing multiple songs at various start and stop times. Couldn't have pulled it off without him. The reception was a blast and can't thank John enough for brining the good energy and awesome music. We also purchased additional lighting with stringed lights over the outdoor pavilion creating a warm ambiance. Thank you TOTAL EVENTS!

Great team!

My new husband and I had a wonderful first consultation with Jay. He is very professional and knowledgeable while also keeping conversation light and fun. I appreciated that during the stress of planning a wedding. Once we got closer, Jay tied in our event DJ Matt. Again both were easy to work with, provided us with a ton of information, knowledgeable, professional, and just overall fun and friendly guys to chat with! On the day of our wedding, Matt arrived and set up when he said he would - right on time! One big giant dance party!

Matt was our Dj and he was awesome! The dance floor was packed the entire night! My dad was also excited to find out that he was Matt the Producer from WCCC, which was his favorite back when it was on the radio! The photo booth was perfect and everyone loved it. My brother in law and his fiancé even decided to book the photo booth for their wedding next year! I went in not knowing much about Dj’s and what is needed for a wedding and Jay was very helpful. I didn’t have the option of going to a bridal expo and decided to take a chance with whomever I’d find in The Knot and TotalEvents did not disappoint!

Team Total Events CT!

Jay is the owner of and main point of contact for Total Events CT. He was so personable, professional, and responsive from the very start. He always assured us that he wanted planning the DJ and entertainment portion of our wedding to be as smooth and stress free a process as possible, and he followed through on his word. Jay’s services are affordable, and he offers a package for everyone (with lighting and photo booth options). We went with the Beauty Magic Mirror photo booth option, and we’re so glad that we did! The photo album that the Total Events team made for us is a wonderful keepsake from our day. DJ John provided emcee and entertainment services on our day. He couldn’t have been better! Exactly what we needed

Matt was our DJ from Total Events and the service was exactly what we needed for our wedding. Total Events and Matt were responsive, professional and walked us through the whole process from hiring to the wedding day. Responsive, Personable, and Professional!

Our DJ Jesse was amazing! We’re both performers and having gotten married at a theater, it was a perfect match. He really cared about making our night perfect and was very thoughtful in choosing music that would appeal to our crowd. I was also super impressed that on our final phone call, he had our timeline pulled up and was referring to it and seemed to know it better than we did! He played such great music and the dance floor was never empty! He read the crowd well and when a song was requested, he played it! He even suggested changing up a few things in our initial timeline to open the dance floor faster when he noticed we were running behind schedule. I loved how he played our last song 10 minutes early so that he could do a few encore songs. Very smart! We also had a photobooth and the photobooth staff was fantastic as well! They surprised us with a scrapbook of everyone’s photos from the night and our guests got to leave us sweet and funny messages. Jesse and Jay were very responsive when it came to keeping in contact throughout the entire planning process. Wish we could have our wedding over and over again. Everything was perfect! They say the DJ runs the show of the wedding and he ran it well! Thank you Jesse!

Absolutely the Best!

Total Events made our wedding an unforgettable experience! Our DJ, Steve, kept everyone out on the dance floor, and his choices of music were excellent.

Jay, the owner, was super easy to work with and walked us through every step of the process. They utilize software that made it super easy to let them know exactly what we wanted as far as songs and timeline.

Their prices were very reasonable and they were professional, timely, and friendly.

I would recommend TotalEvents to anyone looking to have a great time on the dance floor!

Unbelievable 11/10!!!!!!!

Finding Total Events was a dream come true. I didn’t have to worry ONE BIT about the DJ the night of our wedding. First meeting with Jay Raven, the owner of Total Events, blew us away. He knew exactly what to say, he made us comfortable, he talked in ways that we just understood and fell in love. He paired us with DJ John Cardona, who was simply amazing. A few meetings, a worksheet, videos and photos is all it took. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even receive a phone call, John was at the venue, setting up the chapel and the reception. I did not even for a second have to think oh I wonder if my DJ is here or ready! We heard his practice from the venue bridal suite and I just wanted to run down and start dancing. Next thing I knew I was crying, my music was playing in the chapel, John nailed it. The entire place filled with tears, they were so moved by the music, and then finally seeing me walk down. Then comes the reception, he already lined everyone up, talked to our bridal party, and started off the night. I was told later that night that John threw his back out.. I had no idea, he did my entire wedding, no sweat. He killed it!!!! The entire place was dancing the entire night. He was absolutely amazing in so many ways. John is super talented, and only took requests from me, which was already noted in my work sheet when we talked. I loved every single second of our wedding night. I will forever use Total Events!! Best experience ever!

From the very first phone call down to the very last email, which was two days before our wedding, Total Events was top notch! Jay Raven is completely laid back but at the same time totally professional. He matched us with our DJ Matt after just that first phone call and he completely nailed it! Matt was amazing!!! He showed up early just to make sure everything was just right and with how stressed I was because I was running late, he was a complete Godsend! They go over every single detail to make sure that you have the perfect day and it paid off! It was perfect! They throw one hell of a party and you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Great time, all around!

Jay and Derek were super easy to work with! They were extremely flexible as we changed plans due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Jay sold us with his down-to-earth demeanor the first time we spoke to him. Derek really rolled with the punches the day of the wedding! He played a good range of the songs we requested and threw in some great choices based on our taste!

Best dj company ever

Words can't explain how lucky we were to have Total Events run DJ on our event! Jay is an absolute pleasure to work with and the communication is superb. Jay always comes with enthusiasm and caters to the specific event you're trying to have. He works with you on every detail and provides amazing suggestions to enhance your event based on his experience in the industry. We had to change our venue due to Covid and he was quick to accommodate with complete understanding and flexibility. Matt, our DJ the day of the event, was also a pleasure to work with. He followed the schedule and even reminded us of what it was! From the ceremony music to the wedding party entrance, to the first dance, dancefloor and everything under the sun, he was there to keep the party alive and having the best time. We could not have pulled off our event without Jay and Matt. The execution was flawless and we absolutely recommend hiring Total Events as your DJ for ANY event you might be considering. Best DJ compay despite the chaotic times!

We absolutely loved working with Jay and his crew! We ended up booking Matt for our small backyard ceremony and everyone had nothing but great things to say about him! He was calm as a cucumber despite all the chaos of a backyard wedding and made the perfect mix of music for us. We can't wait to have them back for our larger wedding in summer of 2021!

Book Them- ask for Matt

We had our wedding through all of the new found uncertainty with Covid on 9.19.20. Total events made us feel comfortable and helped us throw one hell of a party! Matt was amazing and brought our reception to life! He knew just what we wanted to hear and got everyone up and dancing! It was a beautiful night and so fun during such difficult times! The Perfect Day!

My wife and i had our wedding on Friday August 7, 2020 at Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, CT. Due to COVID, we had to drastically and sadly cut our guest list down to 40 immediate family members. We also had to change our venue, so we pretty much started the wedding planning process over. Throughout all the hard decisions and changes, Total Events stuck with us for our modified wedding. They worked so well with our new wedding Planner and new venue, even when there was a power outage due to Hurricane Isaias that threatened to alter our wedding. During our new planning process, Total Events actually reached out to us to see what our plans were during the COVID pandemic. We were so busy deciding what to do about our venue and guest list, that hearing from Total Events was comforting and reassuring. Due to our venue and guest list change, we had to reduce our sound system needs. The owner Jay was more than accommodating regarding the sound system modifications and price change due to the smaller wedding.
Before our wedding day, we had a conference call with Jay and our DJ Matt, going over ceremony and reception logistics. Jay and Matt guided us through it all. During our wedding day, Jay and Matt set up our event sound system, and throughout our wedding night, Matt handled our ceremony and reception music flawlessly. All the critical songs were played at the right times, such as the cake cutting song, mother/son dance, etc. Matt checked in on my wife and I throughout our wedding reception to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Matt was more than accomodating to our families music requests, especially our young nieces/nephew’s song requests. Throughout the night, Matt reminded our guests about the important COVID related requirements, such as masks wearing while going to the bar or restroom. As a public health professional, i greatly appreciated that!
Even with our small-micro wedding, Matt still made it feel like a lively event. Our families were dancing and having a great time to all the tunes we chose. Our modified wedding day was perfect, and Total Events played a massive role in it.
My wife and I highly recommend Total Events. We can’t thank Jay and Matt enough for their role in making our day perfect.

Vendor Appreciation

As the owner of Creative concepts by Lisa event planning and design I had the opportunity to work with Total events and their owner Dj Ray, the day of the event we were in the midst of COVID-19, and a black out due to the recent tropical storm. Our DJ, DJ Matt, did a wonderful job following all the Covid rules and regulations as well as the regulations that the venue had to follow due to noise ordinances in their area for an outside event. Matt was very professional and very communicative with me throughout the night and I cannot thank him enough. Hire a professional DJ!

Jesse Ledeatte was monumental in the success of our day! When we look back on the flow, energy, pace, and vibe he crafted it's a fantastic lasting memory of our wedding. Stop Looking and Book Today!!

We had the most amazing time on our big day! John Cardona exceeded expectations and kept us partying all night long! He is a pro and you can tell he loves what he does! Devan and Chris worked the crazy awesome inflatable photo booth and were kind and fun to all guests that night! The Uplighting lit the floor beautifully and the night was perfect and fun! Total Events is one stop shopping and the way to go for everything you need!

Amazing, wonderful experience!

Our wedding experience was better than we could have asked for. Jesse was very accommodating, professional and fun! Christian and Leah did a great job working at the photo booth. The photo book was a great added touch! Jay made the venue look amazing with all the lighting. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stress free event.... They covered it all!

Amazing DJ's

We are SO happy we went with Total Events for our wedding. From the start, they were so helpful with everything we needed. When I first spoke to Jay, I told him the ideas of what we wanted our wedding to be like and what kind of vibe we were looking for. He and our dj, Matt, we so helpful every step of the way. We used Total Events for both DJ and photo booth services, and both were fantastic. People have not stopped telling us how fun our wedding was, mainly due to the fact that the dance floor was packed all night! We can’t say enough good things about them, I would give them my highest recommendation!

Very easy to work with!

Wow! Total Events was amazing with helping us out with our wedding!! We ran into some issues with our previous DJ and decided to make a switch last minute (less than a week before the wedding!). Jay from Total Events got back to me right away and let me know they could help out. Due to the short time frame we were able to Skype and figure out a plan. Jay was available for me whenever I needed him and helped me through the process! We got many many comments on how great the DJ (Jay Raven) was and the dance floor was packed all night! We were so pleased with Total Events and highly recommend them for anyone in the future! Thanks for making our wedding amazing!

Superb Experience

It's always encouraging to find a company that goes up and beyond what they say they are going to do and takes pride in their work.. It was nice to work with someone that wanted our event to be as successful as we did and ensure that everything went off with not even the smallest hiccup..

This was for a huge Jack & Jill (~250 people) event and Jay was onsite first thing in the day to set up the tent, Matt was there early to ensure that all went smooth with the music and the whole afternoon/eventing was a tremendous success. The upcast lighting that Jay placed around the location was just the cherry on top of the sundae throughout the evening and every single person had a blast.. Kudos to Jay Raven and Matt for their hard work and dedication for making everything great.

Professional Entertainment at a Rockin' Reasonable Price!

There was no doubt in my mind which company I was going to hire for my March 2019 wedding. I had been to weddings before and have witnessed first hand how incredible Total Events were. In my personal opinion, the prices were very very good. They offer anything you can think of such as DJ entertainment, Photo Booth and spectacular lighting/strobes (all of which I had included in my package deal.) Jay, the owner was exceptionally helpful! He went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I wanted for my wedding without any questions. Our DJ, John Cardona had all our guests rockin and rollin out on the dance floor the entire night and did an amazing job announcing certain details and announcements throughout the night with our approval. I had been waiting for my wedding day for so long and I couldn't have done it without Total Events by my side. I can't describe how incredibly happy myself and my wife were with the outcome and the professionalism all of the staff members of Total Events. I will keep recommending this company years and years on down the road to family & friends. Thank you Total Events for making my wedding day special, we will never forget what you did for us and it means the world to us!

They listened to our wants & envision and made sure it happened. The DJ Matt was extremely helpful with our requests and wishes, he was willing to do anything to make our day what we wanted it to be. The photo booth ran by Christian & Michelle was an absolute blast and was loved by all our guests. Was an extra special surprise to get the special album at the end. Full Service - How can you go anywhere else?

We decided to book a DJ for our event last minute. Jay (owner) took excellent care of us in booking for our Reunion, making sure we had everything we needed in the planning process, and following up to make sure we wee satisfied. The décor lighting package really added that special touch with blue uplighting. I had no idea what to expect, but it came out amazing! Our DJ, Joe, was very accommodating - he was sweet and did everything we asked. We didn’t announce anything, but we sure gave requests. He even found a super-obscure song to play for us to the crowd’s delight! Thank you soooo much!! They really came through for us in the clutch!

Total Events was amazing to work with! We used them for music and uplighting at our wedding. Jay and Matt were on top of everything, highly knowledgable and Matt kept the dance floor going all night at our wedding! We received so many compliments about Matt and the music from our wedding! When we were looking for a DJ for our wedding it was hard! you want someone who can make the party a huge success!!! My husband and I could not be more please with the results from Total Events!!!! Our DJ Derrick was awesome!!! I tossed curve balls at him with last minute changes and everything could not have gone smoother!!! He had everyone dancing the entire event!!!! Total Events is a class act! From the day we met with Jay, we knew immediately his company had the knowledge and experience to get the crowd on their feet and keep the party dancing! We spoke with Jay and Matt our DJ a couple of times before the wedding to go through all the details and discuss the different genres of music we wanted to appeal to all the guests. Matt provided the perfect sound track for our special day, we couldn’t have been happier! These guys are funny, entertaining and extremely professional. Devin and Lexi ran the photo tower for our event. It was a huge hit, they brought along many props and all the photos in the album made for a fun guest book keepsake! We had an awesome experience with Total Events and you will too!

Stop wondering if Total Events is any good...They are the best!!! From first inquiring to after wedding is over, Total Events, Jay Raven and Dj Derek make it incredibly easy to plan your wedding without issues. Jay was always quick to respond to any questions we may have had and after talking to him a couple of times he put Dj Derek on as our Dj. I can not say enough about how great Dj Derek is, He showed up early, set up quickly and was very professional. The up lighting was great, made the room change colors and some cool pictures. The music was incredible. Everyone from my 80 year old father to my 20 year old niece commented on how great the music was. Dj Derek is amazing at playing music that everyone wants to hear, something I didn't think was possible. But he pulled it off with ease. Dj Derek went beyond being just a Dj with constantly checking with us to see if everything was going ok or if we needed anything. Jay made it easy to discuss our event over the phone. Their website made it easy to select music we wanted in the months leading up to our wedding. Jay, Matt and Total Events were awesome to work with throughout the wedding process and set the prefect soundtrack to our perfect day. We met with Jay and could tell right off the bat that he had the knowledge, experience and personality to understand what we wanted and how to make that vision happen for the wedding day. The online system that Total Events uses was really easy to use and super helpful for us because it ensured no details were missed, and allowed us to show our personality through our music choices. We also had a pretty complex set up with three sound systems needed as well as lighting to be provided by Total Events. Having all of that taken care of by one team made it nice and easy and the lighting was an absolutely perfect accent to the room (which made for some great pictures).

I would say I’m a control freak when it comes to music and Matt and Jay understood and accommodated a bunch of my requests, questions and concerns leading up to and on the day itself. Matt played the songs that meant the most to us, avoided the songs we hate while keeping the energy high on the dance floor all night. People were literally getting up between meal courses because they wanted to keep dancing, and we have never danced so much in one night. We would definitely recommend Total Events for your day as they will take good care of you and make sure you and your guests have a wedding you’ll remember forever!

Everything was amazing! Everyone had a blast dancing the day away. We got so many comments from guests about how much they loved the music. Right from the beginning everything was a breeze to set up and everyone was wonderful to work with! Jesse had all sorts of dance moves and kept the party going!

Jay was absolutely phenomenal! I have been meaning to write this for a while but just kept getting busy! Anyway, he was so flexible with us and every questions I threw at him he was patient and answered it. During our wedding, a few of our guests asked for some music that wasn't really up our ally and he made sure to find me and ask me about it before playing it. He was very professional, extremely enthusiastic and kept the party going till we were practically told it was time to go haha. He played great music. He guided us with some choices we were having a difficult time making and listened to us in order to play music we all loved. We had to move tables to make more room for dancing! We also did the photo booth and everyone loved it. We also received an album with copies of all the pictures everyone took. We loved it! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I used Total Events for DJ and photo booth at our wedding 12/2016 and were so happy we did! The owner Jay was able to speak with us after hours to explain a bit about the company and the process, but was not pushy at all. We were set up to have Matt as our DJ and were thrilled with his work. His organization of the songs helped keep everyone dancing throughout the entire event. We were also able to speak with Matt before the wedding to discuss some specifics we were looking for. He was happy to hear our thoughts and implement our requests. We received multiple compliments on not only the music but also Matt. He was professionally present - made announcements we asked him to make but did not use the mic too much to take away from the music. The photo tower was a huge hit and they even gave us a booklet as part of the package with pictures from the book. Guests were able to write on the pages, so it was more personal. After the wedding, we emailed Jay to see if we could get the pictures in another format so we could make copies or enlarge them and the disk was sent very promptly. My only regret is that we didn't book the reception and Total Events for longer! I would absolutely use Total Events again in the future.

Matt and Jay were amazing. We met with Jay initially to talk about pricing, set up and how the process would work. He broke everything out nicely and even emailed us everything after the meeting. We had several calls with both men closer to the wedding and they helped walk us through every details.

The wedding went flawlessly. They set up with no problems, the music was fantastic and Matt kept everyone on the dance floor all night including myself who never dances. Literally I never dance and I danced. They were affordable and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Jay Raven and his team (especially Derrick) were absolutely phenomenal with giving my husband and I the party atmosphere that we wanted! We have had a DJ switch during the reception and it was seamless. There was a great mix of classics, 2000's and today's music which is exactly what we were looking for. We also had a photobooth and every one said what a big hit it was. Jay was always responsive, and a straight shooter which I really appreciated. We wish we could go back and relive it over and over again! Highly recommend Total Events and their services!

I do not have enough good things to say about Total Events and Jay Raven, the DJ at my wedding. He was thoroughly professional and easy to work with. Concerning the DJ aspect of the wedding, he made it so there was zero stress going into our big day. After two brief meetings with him, we were ecstatic to find that the music for the entire day of our wedding, including introductions and announcements, were all taken care of. From the moment dinner was over until the final song, he kept the dance floor packed with our guests, who are of all ages. Without a doubt, we would hire Mr. Raven and his crew again in a heartbeat.

Even more so, I highly recommend requesting Jesse for the uplighting! He did an amazing job. It made the room pop and the amount of compliments we received from our guests were high. It was a classy yet extremely fun addition.

Thank you Jay Raven, Jesse, and Total Events to help make our wedding a day we will surely never forget!

Our experience with Matt from Total Events was fantastic! As our DJ, Matt went above and beyond to help my husband and I with our special day before and during the wedding. He was very down-to-earth and easy to work with, making sure to go over the details with us prior to the event so that he had a clear idea of what we were looking for. From the great selection of music (that had the crowd dancing all night long) to his friendly and knowledgeable demeanor, we're really happy to have chosen him as our DJ and couldn't recommend him enough.

Matt from Total Events did and incredible job, our wedding was amazing and he is one of the main reasons. Excellent music, attention to detail, and overall just fun to be around! He was incredibly responsive in the planning phases, extremely personable, and flexible. He made sure everything went smooth and on time. Everyone danced the entire night and has a blast! I highly highly recommend Total Events for weddings and special occasions!

How do I even start to explain the amazing job Total Events did on our wedding this past weekend (September 17th, 2016). From the moment our DJ, Jay Raven, arrived to the venue to when he packed up his equipment, there was total professionalism. I had no doubt in my mind that everything would be perfect, and I was right!! Jay did an absolutely incredible job queuing me to start walking down the aisle with my dad, at the cocktail hour, announcing all of the bridal party, and engaging my guests to dance. The mix of music that was played was perfect and made our wedding 100% better; the dance floor was NEVER empty!!! Jay double checked with me on every request and diffused family situations for us without any stress!!! I am so grateful for Jay at Total Events! Jay Raven and Total Events did such an amazing job at our wedding! The music played was perfect for the fun party we were hoping for, and Jay Raven was such a wonderful DJ. He was easy to work with, professional, so helpful and accommodating.
We also rented the Photo Tower from Total Events and it was perfect! Everyone had a great time with the props and taking photos. My favorite part was the scrapbook of all the photos for the bride and groom, it is such a great keepsake!
We are so happy we chose this vendor to work with and definitely recommend them :)

From start to finish Total events was absolutely the best DJ service I could have asked for. We have been told by so many of our guests that our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to and that the music was fantastic. Beyond a great DJ service both Jay and Matt where so supportive and available for anything I needed, it was like being taken care of by two big brothers! There are so many things running through your mind as the wedding day approaches and it was a great comfort knowing I had them in my corner. I knew no matter what happened they would do everything they could to make it a magical day. It was obvious that they really cared about their work and us. I couldn't have asked for anything more and I will be telling everyone I know how absolutely fantastic they are. If you start with these guys you wont need to look any farther they are amazing!!!!

My Total Events DJ was Matt and he was awesome! He met with me to go over the song lists and details twice and always accomodated my many changes. He arrived early to set up at the reception site, then went over to the ceremony site to play my music for thatthat and then back again to the reception. He played everything I asked and the dance floor was always packed because of the great music he played. Thanks for making our day so fun!!

Jay Raven with Total Events did an amazing job at our wedding! I was skeptical because we had not heard him DJ before or met him before the wedding, but he exceeded our expectations. He played great dance music and had everyone up dancing all night. He also did an impressive job reading the crowd and knowing what songs would keep the party going strong. We had Matt from total events on our wedding day. He was attentive and able to adjust quickly to changes I decided to make minutes before the songs needed to be played (such as shortening the father/daughter dance, and making the first dance solo). The online worksheet makes communication about songs for the ceremony and reception super easy, but even if that wasn't enough, the email, skype, and phone conversations with both Matt and Jay made me feel super at ease. While I had many guests leave early (due to the late reception on a Sunday), he kept the party going the whole time for my friends, close family, my husband and I until the reception time ended.

Jay is awesome to work with and made our Wedding the kind of party people talk about for years to come. Jay was always available to chat whenever we needed and completely got the vision we were looking for our wedding. Rat pack Style Cocktail hour to absolutely after party for the reception. He played an awesome mix of yesterday and today, including a bit of Dubstep which I Love and my wife is not to keen on. It went from Old School West coast hiphop to Shout. At one point I looked over and Jay had the staff of the venue going crazy with the Mix he was playing. I would highly recommend him for any event you want to have full on Dance party at. He was professional as well as his assistant Matt, He was perfect Emcee for the event and if I have any other events in the area, I will be calling and requesting Jay to be there.

Jay Raven was great!! He worked with us every step of the way to make sure we had a great wedding playlist. From face time conversations to phone calls and meeting up to make sure everything was taken care of. Jay even went above and beyond to edit a song that we really wanted to use as "our song" to cut out some parts we did not like! We also had the photo booth which everyone loved. They even made a scrap book of everyones photos at the end. Very professional and easy going, I would recommend Total Events to everyone!

J Raven was great. He kept everything coordinated with the wedding party and is an awesome guy. Everyone had a blast with the photo booth and the personnel he brought with him was amazing as well. Total events helped make all my wedding dreams come true. The older folks loved them, the younger kids could still dance and everyone is still ranting and raving about how awesome the D.J was. Jay provided us with some advice before the wedding which made everything go off without a hitch. I reccomend him and total events daily when asked who DJed our wedding. If we did it all over again he would without a doubt be our DJ!

Jay was by far the best vendor we had at our wedding. We knew we wanted to have a great DJ and the music and vibe of our reception was very important to us. After meeting with Jay, we knew he would be perfect for us. He is very professional but keeps things light and fun at the same time. Aside from providing great music for our special day, the best part about Jay and Total Events was that I had 100% confidence in every aspect of thier service. With my other vendors, I had to continually be in contact with them and keep tabs on them to make sure everything was in order, but not with Jay! He was able to get me set up with my own online account where I could search through music and build up our special day. He was even able to edit several songs so that they fit into our plans a bit better. If I were to do it all over again, I would pick Jay in a heartbeat!

Jay and his assistant Stephanie were both very professional and every thing went just the way my wife and myself wanted to. Many of our friends and family have also commented on how much the enjoyed the DJ's.

J. Raven, Total Events, and all associates are some wonderful people and a pleasure to work with! They made my wife and I's night easy going and the night a great success. Very assuring. They make you feel comfortable and completely take the pressure off of you! PhewwPh what a relief! They actually did our music for the ceremony as well! And nailed everything to a T. One of the most important decisions when you’re planning a wedding is deciding on a DJ. The DJ establishes the mood throughout the celebration and basically runs the show. Confidence in the DJ has to be high and you should absolutely feel confident in choosing Jay Raven as your wedding DJ. My wife and I got married this past June and Jay was vital in making the day the most memorable one in our lives. He has a magnetic and approachable personality, but most importantly, he knows exactly what he’s doing. There is no doubt about that. I can’t emphasize enough what an excellent job he did at our wedding from song selection and placement to ensuring the guests (and us) had the time of our lives. Since our wedding, we've heard nothing but glowing compliments regarding the job Jay did.

Outside of the day itself, you definitely want to make sure the DJ is easy to contact and organized in preparing for the event. Again, Jay gets a top notch review from us here. Anytime we contacted him, he was extremely quick to respond. He was so organized throughout the planning process and had wonderful suggestions while also incorporating every idea we had.

The planning process leading up to the event and the event itself was nothing short of perfect in terms of the job Jay did. There’s a reason he’s the best and his reviews are consistently superb.

Book Jay without hesitation. You’ll be really happy you did.

I am actually one of those people who use but never write reviews unless the service was bad. However Jay was SO WONDERFUL, fun, upbeat, meticulous, attentive, and thoughtful at our wedding that I could not wait to come here and write a review. He asked all the right questions to get to know us and our musical tastes a bit before the wedding, gave really fitting suggestions where we needed them, found the perfect balance between adhering to and checking with us when appropriate :P) our guests' requests, provided a super fun and energetic environment which is what we asked for, I could really gush on and on. I could not recommend him with any more enthusiasm if I tried!!

Jay Raven was AMAZING! I live in AZ and got married back in CT where I am from. Jay helped me SO MUCH. I never realized there is so much planning around the music. There is a song to pick for everything and the music really sets the tone of the night. We talked on several occasions to have phone meetings. He spent a lot of time with me helping me select music and giving suggestions. He has an online user friendly set up to through his website fill everything out online and to search and hear music selections. He did our ceremony and reception music. The night was perfect and the dance floor was always packed. My husband and I spent so much time going from table to table and visiting so my only complaint was that I didn't get to dance as much as I wanted to :) I did fit in time for dancing though and everyone raved about the DJ and music! Perfect night, thanks Jay!

We booked our DJ and uplighting through Total Events for our wedding and are so happy we did. Jay matched us with our DJ Edwin who was very professional and easy to work with. We had to change a couple of things around day of because of an issue with our transportation, and Edwin was more than accommodating. He kept the party going on the dance floor with great music.

We were so happy to choose Total Events for our DJ Services for our wedding which took place at Candlelight Farms Inn in New Milford, CT. Jay did a remarkable job not only getting everyone on the dance floor but keeping them there. Jay was also able to alter some of our songs we requested i.e first dance, father/daughter, etc. for no extra charge. Total Events also did our up lighting, which was done so beautifully in our tent. He was incredibly responsive via email and we were able to video chat with him several times prior to the wedding. Although we were both unsure what we wanted in some aspects in terms of music choice, Jay read the crowd perfectly and kept us dancing all evening. Everyone was drenched by the end of the night, which usually signifies a good time.

Total events did a great job managing the entertainment for our wedding Jay was responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all our questions and his personality makes it him very easy to work with. Our DJ was DJ Pouya and he was awesome. He was fun, managed all the logistics and made sure everyone was in the dance floor. Highly recommend you request DJ Poiya for your event!
