I don't think there is a better cake tasting experience in Los Angeles than the one that Top Tier Treats provides. After sampling the abundance of combinations available, my husband and I decided to book Top Tier Treats for our wedding day. Jamaica, the owner, was so easy and professional to work with. And on the actual day, our wedding cake arrived on schedule and looked just like the reference photos we had provided. But even better, it TASTED DELICIOUS! We can't wait to order it for future anniversary celebrations!! -

Working with Jamaica was a delight from start to finish - they helped guide us to the perfect cake for our celebration. We had a rough idea of what we were looking for, and they set us up with a fantastic tasting to hone in on the best flavors for us. Then, when working on the design, we sent a few ideas back and forth (incredibly responsive!) and they then shared a rough sketch of the final design, which we both loved. On the day of, the cake was even better than we expected, and it was such a hit with our guests that we didn't have any to spare! (Good problem to have!) It was exactly the right size for the number of guests. We've since gone back to Top Tier Treats for special occasions, and couldn't recommend them more. -

Our wedding cake was so delicious we didn't even get a chance to try our other desserts! A joy to work with, especially when it came to designing our wedding cake. Their tasting menu was fun and easy -- and the cost was applied to our cake. You can't beat that. -

We had the best experience working with Top Tier Treats for our wedding! After sampling their cakes we were sold! Jamaica was wonderful to work with and even took care of contacting my planner and florist to make sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. The cake turned out beautiful and it was delicious! Our guests LOVED the cake and we could not have asked for more! -

I can't say enough good word to Jamaica and Top Tier Treat did an amazing job with my wedding cake. It not only looked amazing, but tasted amazing too. They are extremely accommodating and very reasonably priced. -

Jamaica made a cake for my baby shower 12 years ago, as well as my daughter's one year birthday. When it came to choosing a wedding cake, I immediately thought of her to help us design our ideal cake. She was responsive with emails, and very helpful with flavor suggestions. The cake turned out beautifully, and we received many compliments from guests about how good it tasted! Affordable too. Thank you, Top Tier Treats! -

Poppy Sent on 01/13/2018So I'm currently stuffing left over cupcake in my mouth as I write this - soo yummy! I was going crazy trying to find somewhere that would make us vegan and regular cupcakes that didn't cost a fortune and then I came across Top Tier Treats. They were so easy and pleasant to deal with (shout out to Laura) and answered every one of my questions. They have take-away cake tasting box so you can choose from the comfort of your home, complete with different cake flavors and frosting/filling options. Beware, you might end up in a sugar coma after choosing. We ended up getting 8 dozen cupcakes in red velvet and carrot cake (6 of which were vegan at no extra charge) and a small ceremonial cake. For a small extra fee they delivered all this in perfect condition up to the mountains in Malibu.

Jane Sent on 12/11/2017We originally planned to use Sweet Lady Jane as our cake vendor and did a tasting with them, but they were being rude and unaccommodating so we dropped them. We had read amazing reviews of Jamaica at Top Tier Treats so my mom scheduled a cake tasting with her. She was so nice and let me FaceTime my mom during the tasting so that I could see all the flavors and ask questions. My mom got to taste a bunch of different cake flavors and frosting flavors, and it's nice Jamaica gives the frostings and cakes in separate containers so that you can taste a bunch of different combos together. We went with 2 different flavors. One layer was Vanilla Butter Cake with white chocolate mousse and fresh berries. The other layer was Chocolate cake with alternating chocolate mousse and raspberry mousse with raspberry puree. Jamaica was able to draw out a mock up of the cake design I wanted with me over Facetime and do it exactly how we wanted. We kept it simple and had our florist leave flowers that Jamaica beautifully set up on the cake. The first time we tasted her cakes was at our wedding during the cake cutting, and you should see my face, I was shocked because the cake was INCREDIBLE. I kept eating more of it. The vanilla/white with berries was my favorite and absolutely incredible, but the chocolate was really delicious too. Cannot recommend Top Tier Treats enough! -
Debbie Sent on 11/07/2017I have used Top Tier Treats (formerly Jamaica's Cakes) for past parties so I knew I wanted Jamaica to bake my wedding cake from the minute I got engaged. Once again, she didn't disappoint...the flavors were delicious and the icing was simply beautiful. Her special touch of using fresh flowers as decorations made the cake and dessert table look fabulous. I highly recommend Top Tier Treats for any special occasion--especially weddings!

Daisy Sent on 08/25/2017Top Tier Treats created our cake and assorted desserts for our wedding on August 13th and they were all delicious and beautiful. Despite never meeting Jamaica in person and only communicating via email, she was able to create us a beautiful wedding cake based on pictures provided. The tasting process was also pretty great since we got to take the tasting box home and therefore were able to take our time mixing flavors and determining what combinations worked best for us. Our guests raved about the mini cupcakes, brownies, lemon bars and pecan bars, and my friend with a dairy allergy especially appreciated that some of the cupcakes were vegan so she can enjoy them as well. Jamaica was super easy to work with and very responsive. I will definitely order from Top Tier Treats again in the future! Thanks again! -

Hi Jamaica,
I wanted to let you know that your cake was the ultimate in style and scrumptiousness. Guest after guest came up to us and said that usually cakes as beautiful as the one you made are either dry or flavorless. They were all delighted to bite into just your moist, delicious piece of art.
For us, it was a great moment because cutting the cake offered us a true element of surprise and spontaneity in an otherwise very scheduled event. When we went to cut the cake, my five year old son came and stood in between us, shortly followed by Edison's two children. It was an unplanned joy to cut the cake with our children.
Thank you so much for making a cake that will stand out as one of the many highlights of our evening.

Lisa Sent on 06/09/2010Love Jamaica and her cakes. I went to 4 other bakeries and none compared to the taste of Jamaica's cakes. They have so many great flavors to choose from. Her cakes are perfectly moist, prefect flavor - not too sweet and definately not bland. I took the samples from all the bakeries to work and everyone loved Jamaica's the most. We had 3 different flavors for our wedding cake, butter cake with lemon curd filling, butter cake with strawberry filling and red velvet with cream cheese filling.
The thing that I loved and was most impressed with was Jamaica herself. She, herself was the one who actually sat with me for the tasting and explained everything and answered all the questions. Great customer service and she is so hands on! A really nice personal touch-that really meant a lot. I had no problem getting in contact with her by phone or email.
Although I'm not a vegan, I like that she offers the option of vegan cakes. The only thing I regret is that I didn't get any cake at my reception other than the little piece that my husband feed me during the cake cutting. There was none left either, because everyone ate it all. Everyone raved about it. It was really hard for us to freeze and save the top layer of our cake instead of eating it. Oh well, I guess I'll have to find another occasion to order a cake so that I actually get to eat it ...

Tiffany Sent on 05/23/2018We love love LOVED our cakes from Top Tier Treats! We liked that they had vegan options and went with three different flavors. We didn't actually get to eat more than a bite when we did our cake cutting, but they looked amazing and that's honestly what I cared about the most! I was all over the place trying to decide what I wanted, and sent Jamaica so many different designs. They ended up coordinating beautifully and were one of my favorite parts of our wedding!

We booked our cake pretty late in the wedding process, but Jamaica was able to work with us and make something fantastic within our price range. She was very flexible! Many flavor options to pick from....with her help we created a 4-tier masterpiece (lemon-raspberry, choc. rhapsody, strawberry cream cheese, and hazelnut mocha). The fondant vs. buttercream debate was not an issue w/ Jamaica...her buttercream icing was soooooo smooth that it looked like fondant but tasted great! We did have some difficulty getting in touch w/ her through email a few times, but we were completely happy with the end product. Definitely recommend her bakery! -

Tamyia Sent on 08/30/2012We had a take home tasting with Jamaica and she was really great. She was very flexible the day of our tasting and worked with us when it came to design. She was very involved and detailed in designing a cake that would reflect us as a couple and we loved that.
She gave us options to meet our budget and we went home with thoughts of how we could make it all work and we're settled with Jamaica as a vendor. When it came to placing the order we had a hard time getting back in touch with her, what we spoke about regarding what we could do for what price it got extremely convoluted, we would call and email and get confusing responses with other employees based on what we discussed with her.
We even went in and an employee couldn't take the order. Finally we got there another time and someone else could take the order but it was SO nothing close to what we originally wanted. We just got to the point where we were like whatever-this will do. Let the cake run around end. We loved the taste of their cake so it was like keep the main thing the main thing. Our day is NOT about a cake.
Wish we had a better experience but honestly they were MUCH better in flexibility and taste than ANY of the other vendors we tasted with.
