Beautiful and stress-free

Crystal and Amy were my artist and stylist for my wedding day. Tiffany herself was already booked on my wedding day. Crystal and Amy were absolutely fabulous!! They got up early and commuted to Maryland to do makeup and hair for 4 for a 10am wedding! Crystal and Amy were both so kind, understanding, positive, professional, and easy to talk to. They made us all feel and look very special and beautiful! My updo was beautiful and held together for over 12 hours, including through car naps. My makeup was very me, beautiful, and also lasted all day! I felt amazing and didn't worry at all about my hair and makeup. Highly recommend :)

Lifesaver!

I know this review is a bit overdue, but Tmak was a lifesaver! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids also looked lovely too. In addition to the amazing hair and makeup, what really stood out to me about Tiffany was how helpful and kind she was. As every bride knows, things come up and quite often on the day of. On our wedding day Tiffany came through by helping accommodate some last minute changes to hair requests as well as helped out a bridesmaid who needed some major hair and makeup SOS. Her and her team did so professionally and with such grace. There was another major issue (unrelated to hair and makeup) that Tiffany gladly helped out with as well. She truly didn’t have to do anything, but really went above and beyond the call of duty to help out. As a bride, I am forever grateful for her kindness. Needless to say, aside from the great hair and makeup - Tiffany was just an all around amazing person. She really saved the day and I would highly recommend her!

Easy to work with and very talented

Tiffany did my makeup for my engagement photos, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. I reached out to her last minute and she was extremely responsive and helpful via email/phone. Tiffany was also flexible and accommodating, and really made sure I felt great before I left for the shoot. I booked TMak Artistry for my upcoming wedding and am excited to work with them again!

Love Tmak!

Tiffany and her team were wonderful - I was 100% happy with my wedding make-up and Tiffany was flexible when I requested a small change from my trial look on my wedding day. She's a friendly, relaxed, calming presence to have around on a day that can be filled with nerves! Having her come to my house for the trial was also a big bonus.

Amazing makeup artist and professional

During the trial, Tiffany was very patient with me as I tried to figure out what type of look and hairstyle that I wanted for my big day. Her knowledge and experience helped me to narrow things down to my ideal wedding look. Tiffany was very professional and supportive throughout the entire process.

Tiffany will make you look and feel as perfect as you can ever be. My mother, matron of honor and flower girl also looked as gorgeous as ever. Each and every one of them were more than satisfied with Tiffany. My flower girl hasn’t stopped talking about her since our wedding day! She listened to what we wanted, and the results were flawless. The makeup looked great in pictures and it lasted the whole event. It was a pleasure to work with Tiffany. I am so thankful to her for making me feel comfortable during this entire process. I would highly recommend her!

Tmak and her team know their stuff!

Coming into my wedding knowing very little amount hair and makeup I wanted to be able to get everything done for my wedding without any worries. During the "get a quote" call, Tmak was great at listening and explaining everything, and her numbers checked out with the advertised prices on her website. During the makeup trial she listened to my vision, answered all of my questions, and helped me confidently make decisions using her past experiences and advice. The day of the wedding she and her team came prepared and they nailed the timeline. All I had to do was show up to the venue and she beautified my family and me! Her confidence and expertise allowed me to feel comfortable and pretty on my wedding day -- it was the dream experience! Thank you Tmak!

Tiffany and her team were fantastic! I had a large bridal party and they did a great job accommodating and scheduling everyone. They are so efficient that we actually ended up being ready with time to spare. I loved my hair and makeup, as did all the members of my party. My bridal party included women of many different racial backgrounds, skin and hair types, etc and TMak did a beautiful job on everyone!

Tiffany Mak of TMAK Artistry is amazing! She and her team did such a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for the wedding! The whole process I felt very relaxed, she is very personable and easy to talk to, and gave me lots of options if I had a certain idea in mind. She also had a lot of experience and was able to help me decide what look to go with to achieve the perfect wedding day look I was envisioning. I cannot recommend her enough!

Tiffany was awesome! She made everyone look and feel so beautiful at my wedding, myself included :) I gave her a tight timeline and no other real direction. Every woman in my party wanted a slightly different look (more natural to heavier) and she seamlessly accommodated every request. I highly recommend her work.

Tiffany did makeup for me and my wife for a popup wedding in DC. I've never had my makeup professionally done and I was nervous. I showed Tiffany one pic of a look I liked and she went to work! Tiffany is very skilled, confident and she has a fun personality. My makeup looked great but I still looked like "me." Yay!!!

Tiffany was so flexible and professional in her services! After the initial makeup and hair trial, I wanted to switch up my makeup look, and she listened to all my requests and made me feel beautiful on my day. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted it. The look was never overdone, so I still felt like a prettier and more glamorous version of myself on my wedding day. She also knows how to work with different face structures and facial features, and really did an amazing job. I would highly recommend Tiffany over and over again!

If you want someone flexible, courteous, and talented who will give you exactly what you ask for and more, pick Tiffany! She did my hair exactly like the photo, and has an array of styles she can do in her repertoire. My makeup was flawless and stayed on all day, night (and admittedly into the next day as I couldn't bear to wipe it off and ended up taking it out for another spin the following evening--that's how good it was).

I used Tmak Artistry for my October 21, 2017 wedding. I did not have Tiffany but Martha as my main makeup/hair stylist. Tiffany had another engagement the same day, but she recommended Martha for my hair/makeup and praised her professionalism and talent. While a little concerned, I was blown away by how wonderful Martha was. She did my bridal trial and was incredibly patient with every little idea or adjustment I wanted. She never imposed or tried to sway my mind, she only made suggestions and used my feedback to guide her work towards my ideal look.

On the day of the wedding, Martha arrived early and worked efficiently to style 6 people and to finish by 3pm (which she definitely succeeded in!). While Martha was doing our makeup, another stylist Norma was working on our hair. Martha was friendly and cheerful, easily getting along with my bridal party. As for myself, Martha herself did both my hair and makeup to ensure it turned out exactly what we did for my bridal trial. When our photographer/videographer arrived, Martha was very cooperative and worked with them to ensure that they got the shots they wanted. She easily switched between finishing the rest of my bridal party to accommodating their requests. Her friendly and easy demeanor was a blessing and allowed me to relax and enjoy the day. When I left to do my first look, Martha was still there when I returned. In my rush to leave, I had completely forgotten about her! Ever the gracious person, Martha sweetly helped me add on my veil and gave me final makeup touchups and tips. I will be forever grateful for Martha and her team in making my bridal party and I feel extra beautiful on my wedding day. The pictures turned out GORGEOUS!

With Tmak Artistry, you are guaranteed a wonderful team of the BEST people on your big day. And when I mean the best, I not only mean that in talent and skill, but also in personality and kindness!! Thank you Tiffany and Martha for being such an integral part of my wedding :)

Tiffany was great. Responsive via emails and phone and showed up on time. She was helpful with tips and tricks at the trial for the big day. We did hair and make up for all 6 bridesmaids, me and my mom with Tiffany. She came up to Rye, NY in the morning for the wedding. My hair and makeup lasted ALL day!! I had airbrush and curls, no touch up needed. It was an August wedding, hot and humid. The curls stayed in tack and even my waterline was not smudged. Thanks Tiffany for making me look so glamorous on my wedding day!

I was recommended to Tmak Artistry by a friend for wedding make up. My wedding was on September 10th, 2016. Tmak was incredibly sweet and accommodating to all of my bridesmaids and their make up preferences. She's very talented and did such an amazing job on everyone's make up! I recently worked with Tmak Artistry at an event and they were fabulous! They were super responsive during the planning process, and showed up early on the day of the event! At our event they were able to give good make up advise and even show some of our guests how to apply certain products! Our guests loved them! I am a creative professional who hired TMak Artistry (makeup artist Tiffany) to do my makeup for a headshots event in Washington DC. She is a total sweetheart who has a passion for making people feel beautiful, inside and out. Tiffany made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session. She asked informative questions about my usual makeup regime and helped showcase my features with her talent and artistry. The look that she created for my event was not only flawless, but natural, authentic and light. Best of all, the makeup was applied at 11AM and stayed on for good 12 hours after that (with no need to reapply). I am a makeup novice, so I was relieved when someone with Tiffany's skills did my makeup for my girlfriends and I. She was very honest about what she felt would work for us and provided several options for us to choose from. Once we picked a look (I prefer dramatic eyes and subtle lip color and not too much emphasis on my already protruding cheekbones), she got to work and was very diligent and did a fantastic job. The entire time she was dong my makeup, I couldn't help but notice that HER makeup was also impeccably done. Now that's a sign of a great makeup artist.

Tiffany was awesome! Not only was she flexible with MY time, she was also very prompt and professional. Tiffany paid attention to the littlest details that I didn't even notice at first.

I love that she made me look glamorous, but yet not too vampy.

Tiffany also gave me tips on how to do my own makeup for day-to-day looks. And provided recs of make up for my skin type.

Would definitely hire her again for possibly another shoot!

TMak and the rest of her team are modern day fairy godmothers!

They were able to transform me from the girl next door to more va-va-voom version of myself! The best part, was I could still tell it was me underneath all that makeup!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding Style, I woke up with a big honking zit on the side of my cheek right before the wedding and she was able to flawlessly cover everything up without blinking twice.

On my wedding day, it was important that all of my seven bridesmaids and myself were able to each maintain our individual look and personality with our hair and makeup and she was able to work her magic on us with finesses.Our group included many different skin types, ages and races and every single person was pleased with her work. Her services include complimentary airbrushing and false eyelash application which was also pretty fab considering her prices.

I am the type of girl whose makeup wipes off within five minutes of application so I was surprised when my makeup lasted the entire day -- through sweat, tears, and all!

I was introduced to Tiffany through a friend. After a phone conversation with her, I decided to hire her for my wedding day after seeing only one other MUA team. She was easy to talk to and very thorough in understanding my skin type and makeup preferences.

For my trial, she and the hairstylist, Eddie, arrived early to my apartment and they were both super flexible and accommodating even though I was in the middle of cooking dinner. I had told her the kind of look I wanted beforehand, which she nailed. She then modified it a little just to show me an alternative look, taking the extra time to also tell me her opinion, which I agreed with.

Fast forward to the day of, Tiffany, Eddie, and another assistant arrived at 7am to my parents' house. I had signed with her to do my makeup, as well as for my mom and my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids were not super helpful and asked Tiffany to do what she felt looked best on them and she delivered. I also changed up what I wanted at the last minute from what we had discussed at my trial - the final look was perfect. Eddie also understood exactly how I wanted my hair done after I gave him my thoughts after the trial.

What was also super helpful for me was that both Tiffany and Eddie spoke Cantonese, which made doing my mom's makeup so much easier. If I could award extra stars for eliminating the language barrier, I would.

My bridal party and I were so happy with our hair and makeup. The team took their time to listen to what we wanted, what were didn't like and made us feel amazing. It was the most relaxing experience, I didn't have to worry about waking up early to drive to a salon and time every minute that passed by. The beauty team arrived at our hotel room with everything they needed, set up and got right to work. I'm so glad I decided to hire Tmak Artistry to come to us, it was such a great way to start the day.

Tiffany was recommended to me through a friend and she did an amazing job with the makeup for my wedding! I was nervous about trying to find a MUA, since I typically spend a fair amount of time trying to do my own makeup well (and had already had a trial somewhere else that didn’t go so great). I wanted someone who could really make me look and feel extraordinary on my wedding day - and she delivered! She was very flexible in trying out different different looks during the trial, trying to get the perfect combination of how I like to look with makeup on and giving me that extra special look for my wedding day. I had airbrush, which felt so light and breathable but lasted all night long (despite crying during the first look!) She had a lot of great tips too - both for applying makeup and how to keep it looking good. Also, she is such a trooper - she started at 8 am to make sure she had enough time for me, my 4 bridesmaids, and my sister-in-law and worked straight through until we had to be ready. She’s very professional and sweet, but most of all talented - everyone was really happy with their makeup. I would definitely recommend her!

We would HIGHLY recommend Tiffany. I am not a makeup user beyond the occasional mascara for a night out so I was very hesitant to have professional hair and makeup but WOW- she was able to listen to what I wanted and make it look natural and did the same for my three bridesmaids with moderately different skin/hair. She brought along another artist to do our hair so we could be ready by the time we requested. We felt like movie stars after they were done- taking our vague ideas and turning it into something a million times better than we could have imagined. I got airbrushing and it stayed in place through a long night of dancing and partying. The cost felt high initially, but after I realized it is where it should be because you are paying for a real artist to make you look your best.

Tiffany and Darlene were so professional and personable. My bridesmaids' and I were extremely happy with our hair and makeup - they made us look so beautiful!! I am not a girly girl and wasn't sure what I wanted to do but they were flexible and gave great suggestions. Even when things got a little intense because we ran out of time, they remained calm and pulled through. I could not have been happier! I would recommend Tmak Artistry to anyone looking for a hair and makeup artist!

Just got married in March 2015. Tiffany and Lynn did a phenomenal job for me and my bridal party. Its great that they come to your hotel so you're not rushing to the salon on an already hectic morning. Once there they really go above and beyond! They are able to accomadate everyones individual style and preferences + are professional and had great suggestions. Lynn even helped one of my bridesmaids put contacts in because she really didn't want to wear glasses but was squeamish about eyeballs. Everything went off without a hitch. I would recommend doing the trial option they offer just to get a feel of things especially if you're not sure what looks good on you. The hair and makeup stayed in place all day and night and looked great in photos. Tiffany is sweet and great to work with. Very happy with Tmak artistry!

I was looking for an artist that would be able to do both mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup onsite. Tiffany from Tmak was super flexible and willing to work at the venue. When we spoke on the phone, her soothing voice put me at ease and relaxed me (the feeling you get when someone plays with your hair). I was sold straight away, knowing that I would need to be calm the day of my wedding! She was quick to respond to emails and was very flexible. Her prices were a bit steep, which was a concern for some of my ladies.

Tiffany came to my house for my makeup and hair trial and worked with me to get the perfect look. I showed her some photos and she was able to deconstruct each image to help narrow what I was going for. The day of the wedding Tiffany beat all of us on site. Her and her assistants set the room up quickly and were efficient in getting our make up and hair done with a tight time frame. I felt that the team was slightly rushed and some of my bridesmaids' make up coloring was off because they didn't have time to create the color palette for each girl. Overall, I would recommend Tiffany. I think the timeline factor was something we were not able to work around, and in the end we all looked stunning in the photographs. Tiffany really has a way of enhancing natural beauty and keeping a natural look.

Tiffany was awesome! She did a fantastic job in applying her skills in make-up and still respecting what I wanted (and my bridesmaids as well)!
Her assistant/hairstylist also did a great job! My girls loved how they looked on the wedding day! Tiffany always responded, although not as quickly as I expected-but perhaps I'm a little particular in that respect. But she was definitely flexible and so nice!

It was a pleasure working with Tmak. I had a last min trial request while having to plan my wedding from Asia. Having a failed trail, I was very nervous because my wedding was only 3 days later!

Luckily, Tmak was very professional, patient and accommodating. The hair and makeup trail took more than 2 hours. She knows her products well and was willing to adjust to my preferences. So on the wedding day, the whole hairdo and makeup was even better than the trial! That was impressive!

and without an official wedding party, she went extra mile helped me to put my dress on. Thanks for the great service attitude!

Skills + service, that was a killer combination Tmak has!

Tiffany and her hair stylist Melissa were absolute pleasures to work with! Their prices seemed competitive with other makeup artists I investigated and both Tiffany and Melissa were so easy to be around and fun that I stopped caring about money once we met. All of us who had services felt absolutely beautiful, and we got exactly the looks we were going for (mostly natural but camera ready, nothing too dark, heavy, or overdone). Tiffany managed to deal with nerves, allergies, and other specific needs with grace. Would definitely recommend Tmak!

My hair and makeup on the wedding day was absolutely amazing. After sitting with my makeup for a couple hours after my trial, I decided I would tell Tiffany to go more dramatic on the wedding day. I left it up to her on the wedding day, and it turned out incredible. Every time I looked at myself in the mirror, I was like, "Damn!" My hair was also amazing -- I sat with my curly hair for a few hours after the trial and decided I wanted a more messy, bohemian look. I also had a unique request -- I wanted to use a very heavy crystal hair clip for the reception. On the wedding day, Tiffany made "S" or finger waves throughout my hair to give it a boho look, and teased the hair underneath on my left side so it would hold the heavy hair clip. Even though we took so many pictures in the misty rain (both before and after the ceremony -- we were outside a lot!), my hair remained perfect throughout the night. Even the hair clip stayed in place!!

Tiffany is awesome and amazing. My close girlfriends all complimented on my make up and inquired who the make up artist was who did wonders to my face. :) She's professional and personable and her prices are very reasonable. My make up lasted until the end of the night and after several tear jerking moments. Thank you for making me beautiful Tiffany!!
