Tira helped my husband and me plan the best fall wedding! Although we had some basic ideas about what we wanted, it was Tira's expertise that really made our vision for our wedding day come to life. She recommended the best vendors for our needs, and attended any vendor meetings, both virtually and in person. She kept us on track throughout the planning process, and was always available to answer our questions. On our wedding day, Tira and her team handled literally everything. I've heard other brides say they that their wedding day is a blur, or that it all went so fast. For me, I feel like I had the chance to take in every detail because I could be in the moment and focus on the things that were most important to me. Tira is TOP NOTCH!!! Take it from this indecisive lazy perfectionist bride – she is truly the best! We clicked with her immediately after vetting many others. Her follow up and follow through is unsurpassed. She offered incredible recommendations based off our budget and vision, and when our budget would not allow us to afford certain elements, she provided creative solutions that I would’ve never considered. Our wedding day was a DREAM thanks to her and the many vendors she helped us acquire. She is highly connected and very communicative throughout the entire process. We were married on June 1st on a Watermark Yacht in Annapolis, MD. We chose Tira based on her responsiveness to our requests on this website, and from our very first phone call, I just knew we would be in great hands. I genuinely feel that she went above and beyond for us and created the wedding we hoped for! My wife and I are not the best "planners"; we forget to do things, put them off, and don't have the best time management skills. Tira remained patient with us through the entire process and provided gentle and direct reminders, which were so welcomed and needed! She laughed with us, celebrated with us, and did it with her calm demeanor and sense of humor! She made sure that all of the details that we hadn't even thought of were attended to, and she knew the perfect vendors to refer us to. She had a large selection of vendors with whom she worked, and they all clearly enjoyed working with her, which was such a bonus. She advocated for us with our vendors when needed, took care of the potentially more challenging aspects of the planning and interface with vendors, and made sure we got what we wanted. She made us feel accepted and provided us with a safe space to have such a great event for our friends and family to celebrate us! She even braved Annapolis Pride to get all of the things we needed on the boat! She took some of my favorite candid shots of the day, ones that my friends and family didn't get, which was such a gift while we wait to get our professional photos.
I will miss working with her and get a little tearful about it because she is a phenomenal human being and an exceptional wedding planner.

We were so thankful to have had Tira as part of our wedding team! As our month-of coordinator, she created our timeline, coordinated with our vendors, ran the ceremony rehearsal and kept us on track all throughout the day. Whenever a small complication popped up, Tira and her team were on top of it 100% and made sure it didn't turn into anything major. Several of our guests even commented on how she kept everything running so smoothly! Our day definitely would not have been "perfect" without her. If you are on the fence about hiring a planner or coordinator, do it! And pick Tira! -

Tira was amazing. I was so hesitant about spending money to hire a day of coordinator, but I knew I had most of the big things planned out prior, but I am so grateful we made the decision we did. She pulled together all of the fine details and helped make our day go smoothly so my husband and I could enjoy our wedding with our loved ones. Tira and her Assistant were present for our rehearsal and the day of the wedding and orchestrated everything between the vendors. She made me a schedule for the day of the wedding so that all I had to do was show up. I didn’t have to worry about a thing, and on your wedding day that is so very refreshing after doing so much planning. My husband and I had the most wonderful wedding and Tira played a HUGE role in making that possible!! -

We Can’t Recommend Her Enough!
Tira was a lifesaver! After having issues initially planning on our own, we knew we needed help. Tira to the rescue!! She recommended nearly every vendor we used while keeping our budget in mind. Tira was also able to stay on top of our deadlines and coordinate all meetings for us- saving us tons of stress! Our families were elated to actually be able to enjoy the planning process with us. Her level of professionalism, as well as her ability to make us feel heard and understood, will not be forgotten. We started off with monthly check-ins, which quickly turned to frequent follow ups as we neared our date. She was always quick with responses and never hesitated to step in when needed with vendors. Tira was great from the very beginning. She was effective in communicating with not just you but your vendors. She comes with experience and so she provides a wealth of insight and can offer professional and budget friendly suggestions. I never felt pushed into making any decision. And in those times when you have no idea what to do, she was great at offering options and ideas to help you decide. Our wedding day went so smoothly. No stone was left unturned. She was thorough when she needed to be and that means a lot when you have a 150 guest wedding! My husband and I trusted her, fully and we were not disappointed. On our wedding day, we were on two different sides of town. Tira drove to both of us just to make sure we were okay and needed nothing. We would not have made it through all the wedding day planning without her. My husband and I are grateful that we made the choice to hire her services. I would do it all again with no question. I had guests requesting her information. I plan to use her for many events in our future. -

I got in engaged 2/2020 right before the pandemic. I did not have a real vision for my wedding and prematurely began booking vendors within the first month. I had a bad experience with the previous planner, the pandemic hit, and everything came crashing down. I discovered Tira and after our very first consultation she hit the ground running. She took me back to the drawing board, took me on tours and opened my eyes to different options. I switched to a much better venue that accommodate my guest with all of the covid restrictions. She asked me questions to assist me with creating a vision for my day and took the lead on some things I had no clue about. Tira is very knowledgeable and very connected in the industry. She has a vendor recommendation for almost anything and never leaves you out there to figure anything out on your own. She exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond what she is hired to do to ensure your day is perfect. My wedding was postponed 2 weeks before due to restrictions on gatherings which was devastating but she sprung into action to get me a new date and she communicated with all of my vendors to make sure the were still available on the new date. Tira literally saved my wedding and saved me so much more stress than we already had dealing with planning a wedding in a pandemic. I highly recommend her services. My day was absolutely beautiful and seamless. -

Tira took our theme and created a stunning atmosphere with her style and designing expertise. I was a little nervous regarding the venue, a barn, would have a harsh look. Tira was so helpful in getting everything organized and all the details taken care of for the wedding. From our first meet and greet my fiancé and I knew it had to be her. She was so organized, communicative, passionate and kind. She went above and beyond making sure she knew exactly what was needed and making sure the vendors and bridal party knew where to be and when. Her organization really helped to keep me stress free and able to enjoy our wedding. Tira was the perfect addition to the team. We were very particular and specific about how we wanted our wedding to be, so it was important that we found someone who understood our vision, knew we would be extremely hands on and we could trust to execute the day of. Tira was that person. We doubt anyone else would have been able to put up with our personalities lol but Tira was able to hang in there and make us proud. We made a great team! My search for a wedding planner started while I was deployed in Egypt. Mrs.Tira pulled out all the bells and whistles. We had bi weekly face to face meetings just to update me on venues and budget. Once I returned to the states I hit the ground running. Meeting with Mrs. Tira to look at venues, Cakes tastings and menu choices. She was nothing short of a blessing and was worth every penny. Very professional, responsive and punctual. -

Chrystal Sent on 01/17/2018I hired Tira of TiraLynnEvents to coordinate my husbands 38th Surprise Harlem Nights Birthday Party just 3 months before my event. I am not sure I can actually put into words the level of excellence that she provided me. Tira was most innovative with her ideas and suggestions. Tira brought such a sense of relief to me while planning this event. She was completely aware of my budget considering that my event was within 3 weeks from the Christmas Holiday. She suggested a variety of event locations and visited the actual location several times with me, called different vendors on my behalf, assisted with shopping for decoration in places I would have never thought of on my own. She took on this event as if it were for one of her very own family members. Tira made sure that every detail was taken care of days before, during and even after my event. My guest enjoyed themselves so much they did not want to go home at the end of the party. All not one, but ALL of my guest have told me on more than one conversation, how much they enjoyed themselves. Other friends that have seen my photos say the party appeared elegant and full of life . Tira was extremely reasonable in cost comparison to other event planners. I would certainly say do yourself a favor and hire her for any event that you plan to carry out with class, professionalism, pose and style. Ms. Tira completely captured the exact ambience I envisioned for our special day. Tira was outstanding throughout the whole process. We booked her for our original date of October 2020 and she helped with us transitioning to a date change with all of our vendors. Especially our caterer... who tried to charge us a change of date fee when she was working with another couple who did not have that same charge with the same catering company. She was very helpful with any questions we had. -

I chose Tira because she has great reviews online. I found her to be authentic and approachable, but unfortunately, cannot recommend her as a wedding planner based on my experience. While I understand wedding planners do a lot behind the scenes, I struggled to see the full value Tira and her two assistants added on the day of the wedding.
Sharing some, not all, of my experience below:
Last-Minute Schedule Updates: Tira gave me a 1-day notice, that she would be out of town and then occupied with another wedding, the week before my wedding week.
Unkind Behavior Toward Guests: After the wedding, three family members/guests mentioned that Tira had been unkind to/short with them. While this was not my personal experience, it was still concerning to hear.
Timeline Adjustments/Being dishonest?: Dinner ran an hour late, but Tira never communicated a plan to adjust the timeline. This was especially concerning as I didn’t want the videographer to leave before the first dance. Tira assured me she had arranged for the videographer to stay later, but this turned out to be untrue. Our groomsmen stepped in and paid the videographer to stay an extra hour. When my sister asked Tira to address the issue, Tira's response was "Tell the bride I'm eating, I'll talk to her later."
Ruined intimate moment: A picture of my late grandfather was supposed to be displayed on a nearby cocktail table during my father/daughter dance. The table was there, but the picture was missing. This oversight was particularly emotional and disappointing. I know details fall through the cracks at weddings, but I would have liked a heads up that grandpa's photo wouldn't be there. He meant so much to both my dad and I.
Poor vendor coordination: I planned a private father/daughter dance during the cocktail hour. However, Tira did not ensure the DJ had not conducted a sound check and was good to go. The audio quality was horrible for our entire dance. Additionally, guests were scheduled to enter the reception area immediately after, making it critical that the DJ’s setup should have been working properly.
First dance: After a lengthy and awkward pause, I had to personally cue the DJ to start the music for my first dance. I have no clue where Tira or her assistants were.
Cultural dance: After the first dance, we had a surprise cultural performance. Tira was supposed to send in the final dancer but did not. I had to send someone else to find him and let him know it was time to perform. While we were waiting for the final performer to enter, my husband and I were dancing in the middle of the floor trying to keep the energy going. My no-rhythm-having husband's ONE REQUEST for the entire wedding was to minimize the amount of time he had to be in the spotlight dancing. I will hear about this until death do us part.
Vendor communication: Leading up to the wedding, multiple vendors reached out expressing confusion over Tira’s emails. They were unclear about arrival times and expectations and reported that Tira’s responses to their questions were insufficient. In short - this meant I had a lot of extra work to do.
Despite these challenges, I want to emphasize that Tira and I didn't leave the wedding on bad terms. However, unlike every other vendor I hired, Tira never followed up with me after the wedding. Given that it has been over three months, I felt it was appropriate to share my feedback publicly rather than directly.
