Best Reverend in town!!

If anyone wants to get married, Reverend Malbon is your guy!!!! I give him twenty stars!! Mr. Malbon made our day so special! He is the real deal! Not only was he kind, funny and prompt, he is so caring and loving! Our families loved him so much and gave him so many compliments! His service is exceptional! We were so lucky and blessed to find him and have him marry us!!!!

Beauty and charm

Beautiful little spot in Richmond, VA that will give you a beautiful wedding. The space of the chapel itself provides an elegant intimacy for small ceremonies or elopements. We were thrilled with the vows, the flexibility and the immediate responsiveness of the owner. It was a beautiful ceremony and we will cherish the memories forever.

Beautiful Ceremony-- everyone loved it! & We used it again!

Bil was absolutely fantastic to work with! We had been planning a big wedding for December, but needed to get legally married sooner for insurance purposes. Since we were eloping, we wanted to include my grandparents who would be unable to attend our big ceremony and Bil asked so many great questions to include them! We ended up getting married in their backyard and it was a beautiful ceremony!

My grandpa who is 93 and can barely hear anything (even with his hearing aids) LOVED Bil, and all of his advice after our ceremony.

Since we had a friend "marrying us" at our later celebration, Bil was kind enough to share his script with us AND added his Sand Ceremony script so we could make it work once again!

Thanks Bil for making our "secret wedding" & our big day in December everything we hoped for and more!

Perfect choice.

Faith is important to my husband and I, and as we were searching on Wedding Wire for officiants, we came across Tiny Chapel weddings. After reading positive review after positive review I decided to reach out to him. Bil is friendly and easy to work with, and we communicated via email for most of the planning which worked well within the flurry of activity that we were in. We are so happy that he was able to conduct the wedding even though it was on super short notice. The chapel itself is pretty and makes for beautiful photos. Bil gave us ceremony ideas and suggestions for vows. We ended up doing a ceremony that was perfect for us as a couple from start to finish. We are so glad that we went with Tiny Chapel Weddings. Love Tiny Chapel Weddings!

Just what we needed

Because my (now) husband and I do not belong to a church, we were in need of someone to marry us who was flexible and also able to cater a ceremony specifically to us. Bil was wonderful! He was very responsive to the million questions we had, and even counseled us prior to the wedding. He was very professional but also personable and made us feel very comfortable during our wedding planning and during the ceremony. We were able to build a relationship with him over the course of our planning which made us feel very "at home".

Bil malbon has a great Sprite about himself 😁 makes you feel very comfortable.

Bil was very patient and friendly even before we meet him in person. He has a likeable personality he felt like family. Bil was so kind and easy to work with! He was so flexible with our ideas and welcomed us despite being a non traditional couple. I was a little surprised by the location of the chapel but inside was precious and cozy. When it says max of 20 people that’s accurate but it was PERFECT for us!

Polite, easy going, and a joy for everyone!

Bil officiated our wedding on 10/28 and could not have been more helpful! We planned our own wedding so we had a ton of questions but he answered them all quickly and with extra info on things like sample vows and ceremonial options. He spoke clearly, was well groomed, and was joyous or serious depending on what was called for. He was very honest and a pleasure to work with. Perfectly done!

Amazing ceremony, personality, and advice. Thrilled with her! She was very helpful in calming jitters and giving words of wisdom. She adapted our ceremony so it fit us perfectly. She was very patient yet firm when it came to rehearsal and didnt miss a beat when our backdrop kept getting in the way. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I highly recommend her services!

Rev. Malbon and his tiny chapel were the perfect recipe for my wedding. My fiance and I decided to make it just about us and the Reverend made it so special. He was the perfect officiant for us. He was laid back and so helpful. My husband said even though he felt nervous, he felt peace inside the chapel. We came from out of town to Richmond for our wedding and he was always there if I had any questions. Our wedding was in the middle of the day on the 4th of July but the A/C in the chapel kept us nice and cool. I highly recommend this venue and officiant! I wouldn't have changed a thing.

When I was doing my wedding planning I had a very specific idea about how I wanted my ceremony to go. Tiny Chapel Wedding was my first pick and I'm so glad I went with them. Both Bil & Iantha worked with me and took their time to make sure everything was right. Then came the wedding and it was amazing! Nothing but compliments on her performance. Iantha was amazing. She is a very emotionally intelligent, go with the flow woman. She had never met us before our wedding day because we live out of state. From meeting her at our rehearsal she knew right away what kind of ceremony would best fit us and what we wanted. It wasn't a long boring ceremony, there was no awkward pauses and nothing that made you go "hum". It was pouring, i mean POURING on our wedding day and she stood out there with a smile on her face and married us. Very happy with our choice to go with Tiny Chapel Wedding!

Planning a wedding long distance is no easy task and finding the best officiant is even harder. Bil with Tiny Chapel was more than accommodating throughout the planning process! He is funny and puts his own spin on the ceremony while making him sure you get what you want. If you are looking for an officiant to marry you, look no further!

We loved having the tiny chapel for our backyard wedding! Bil gave us lots of options to choose from in terms of ceremony order, so we picked what worked best for us and it was a very sweet and personal ceremony. The tiny chapel was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and our pictures and Bil dropped it off early so we had plenty of time to decorate the front as we had wanted. Definitely unforgettable and one of the best parts of our wedding!

I can only say great things about Tiny Chapel. They really went above and beyond to be responsive, flexible, and to help my (now) husband and I to have the beautiful wedding of our dreams--outside in the snow!

Our officiant was knowledgeable and made decision-making seamless. Our ceremony was tailored to our beliefs, the length that we wanted, and the homily was absolutely beautiful!

Iantha was so wonderful to work with. We mainly communicated through email and she was extremely responsive. We were lucky enough to have her officiant our elopement and our ceremony a few months later. She kept or ceremony short and sweet which is was we wanted and it had just enough religious undertones to satisfy our families.

Tiny Chapel Weddings was exactly what we were looking for in an officiant. We had a quick turn around for hiring / planning, and Iantha was so on top of everything. We communicated primarily through email, and the response time was incredible. We have no complaints, only compliments! The ceremony itself was quick, wonderful, perfect for what we wanted- which was to the point and customizable. We read our own vows, and Iantha was able to easily transition from their verbage, to ours, and back. We were able to include the guests in the ceremony, which was important to us as well. She came to our venue, on our terms, and was totally rad. I certainly hope I never need an officiant again for myself - but I know who I will be recommending to friends and family!!

The wedding officiant is an integral part of the wedding day, facilitating the very ceremony that brings people together. Unfortunately, we didn't realize this until we were deep in the planning process. Luckily, we got connected with Bil and Tiny Chapel Weddings, who took a lot of stress off of the ceremony. Bil's wife Iantha ended up officiating the wedding, and she delivered a beautiful ceremony without much intervention on our part. She customized the ceremony and communicated effectively before the wedding and in the venue itself. She also helped us understand the paperwork and delivered the marriage license quickly. Overall, we have no reservations about Tiny Chapel Weddings!

We just had our 20th anniversary vow renewal ceremony at the tiny chapel in Richmond. It was great. So special and unique. Bil was quick to respond to all of my e-mails. He was also so friendly and professional on the day of our event. I highly recommend them if you are trying to plan an affordable and unique experience.

Bil officiated our June 3rd wedding at The Dominion Club and it was PERFECT! Bil was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. He offered us advice on the ceremony, which we found really helpful, and he was very responsive to all of my emails. Bil was very laid back and funny, yet professional and efficient. The service was beautiful. The compassion and professionalism was amazing! The choice of words used in the service captured how felt about each other without knowing who we were. All the way down to choice in clothing ( black vest trimmed in purple) signified family and we could not have been more impressed if we'd had a church wedding with hundreds of guests! Thanks so much

Our wedding was on 02/21/17 and Bil went above and beyond in all aspects. He was so patient, kind, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what he does. He was so happy for us and was so easy to talk to. He incorporated everything we wanted and the words he spoke were with so much wisdom and grace. Every time we called or emailed he was very responsive, engaging, and very helpful. In addition to being so nicely dressed he helped calm my nerves because I was soooo nervous. We were running a little behind and he did not seem upset about it at all, we could not have chosen someone more perfect to marry us and he truly helped make a beautiful memory that we will never forget.

From the second I met Bil, he was spectacular on every level. He was willing to meet me on 3 different occasions to look at the Tiny Chapel. He responded to all my email communications and questions quickly even measuring floor to ceiling and length of aisle dimensions! Bil did exactly WHAT he said he would, WHEN he said he would – so unusual in today’s world! The Tiny Chapel is spectacular and the owner is a wonderful, kind, reliable, service oriented guy who contributed greatly to making our "Tiny Wedding" the most wonderful and unique day of celebration.

Bil is the most kind hearted individual and was exactly the person we were looking for in an officiant. From the first contact, he was professional, courteous, kind, and had an overall friendly and upbeat disposition. Bil was able to draft and accommodate the ceremony script my husband and I were looking for, he provided valuable insight and support throughout the planning process and even gave us sound and light hearted marriage advice following our rehearsal and briefly after our ceremony :) He is incredibly personable, friendly, and easily interacted with a large crowd. I speak for my husband and myself when I say that we truly appreciated the opportunity to have Bil as our officiant and can't thank him enough for the wonderful job he did in making our day truly special.

Tiny Chapel Weddings was just what we wanted in providing us with options for vows. Iantha kept in contact with us, gently reminded the groom who his vows were for (ha ha) and made our day just so perfect.

Bil was the officiant at our wedding. He did an amazing job! We met once before the wedding and went over many options he had for the ceremony. I wanted to change a few things and a few things. He was very open my changes and even offered some options to suit me. He sat with my elderly, very religious grandmother at the reception, she made a point to tell me how much she enjoyed spending time with him there.
I also enjoyed the time we spent with him and having him as our officiant!

Bil was wonderful to work with. Bil provided us with counseling leading up to our marriage and was the officiant for our ceremony. He was pleasant, friendly & meeting him felt like meeting with an old friend. Especially when we discovered the groom & him were both from DC! Our cat warmed right up to him and would sit in the room the entire time he was over.
Bills vows were exactly what I was looking for but could not put into words myself. I loved that he had an option to involve our families in the views so they could take part in the ceremony. We loved Bil so much we were happy to have him as a guest at our dinner reception to meet our friends and family. Would highly suggest Bil & Tiny Chapel to friends in the future ready to tie the knot! Thank you so much Bil, from the newlywed Thrashers! (and Batman the cat!)

Our ceremony was very much so last minute, but from the time we reached out to Reverend Malbon he was well prepared and very cooperative. The ceremony was so well executed that I couldn't have imagined going to anyone or anywhere else. I would recommend The Tiny Chapel services to everyone and I plan on having Reverend Malbon as the officiant over my bigger ceremony.

Talk about service and flexibility! My fiancee and I were originally supposed to get married on the afternoon of Friday, January 22nd but the blizzard prevented that from happening. Reverend Malbon offered to perform the service earlier in the day or reschedule for another day the following week. We rescheduled for Thursday, January 28th but due to the chapel's location there was still too much snow for us to actually get married there. Reverend Malbon still officiated for us and even gave us money back since we couldn't use the tiny chapel. He showed up early to our new venue greeted all our family and friends and took pictures with us. He is such a helpful and gracious person! The ceremony was beautiful and authentic. Reverent Malbon kept in contact every few weeks leading up to the ceremony and was very easy to get in contact with. We are just thrilled with the service we received, you can tell that Reverend Malbon really cares about what he does and he makes every couple feel like a priority! I would definitely recommend him!

We originally hired a friend of Bil's to officiate our wedding, but she was unable to attend the wedding and referred us to Bil. He made the ceremony exactly what we wanted, and was willing to adjust things at our request. He always responded to emails quickly and was on time for both the rehearsal and ceremony. He uses just the right amount of humor and is great at reading a crowd. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed, which was especially important to us. I would highly recommend Bil to anyone looking for an officiant!

A charming and adorable venue, a wonderful celebrant, and a completely stress-free experience from booking to "I do's" made our day perfect in every way. Bil was fantastic and super flexible. The Tiny Chapel was even better than I hoped or dreamed. Bil was such a good communicator that I did not have any worries about my wedding day. Rev. Malbon provided my husband and I with a beautiful ceremony. He took the time to meet with us prior to the wedding to discuss ideas for the ceremony and give it a personalized feel. We are both Trekkies and Rev. Malbon worked that into the ceremony in a very special, yet subtle way! He was also very responsive and took a lot of the pre-wedding stress out the planning process. Bil Mabon of Tiny Chapel Wedding made our day 100% wonderful! It was so simple to have the chapel dropped off for us to decorate before the ceremony. There were so many options for decorating, but we chose the fall/rustic look by adding hay bales, pumpkins, and fall flowers to the chapel. We were able to hang a beautiful burlap/lace banner behind Bil for the ceremony by tying it to installed hooks he has in the chapel. And then easily removed the banner when it was done. He was so professional with a taste of humor, which we needed that day! After the ceremony, Bil stuck around with no problem at all so we could take pictures with or near the chapel. We got married on the porch with about 43-45 people in the audience on the grass of the farm. We loved Bil so much that we had him stay for the reception (a choice of Chipotle or BBQ). If we could do it all again, we would choose Tiny Chapel Weddings most definitely.

Bil married my husband and I this past Sunday. Bil was helpful, professional, and very personable from the first time I spoke to him on the phone. Although I had never met him before I was standing at the alter getting married, he made me feel comfortable and proud that he was our officiant. I would DEFINITELY recommend him. In fact, I have a friend looking for an officiant now who attended my wedding, and she asked for his contact information.

From the day we contacted Bil Malbon to perform our ceremony, he has been above and beyond one of the easiest parts of planning the wedding. It is extremely rare that he takes more than 24 hours to respond to e-mails, and he made us a custom ceremony at no extra charge. He even met us at a Richmond festival that we were going to, which was so convenient, so we could sign a contract. He is very professional and kind, and his pricing is very fair.

Bil was a wonderful officiant! He is very personable and willing to customize his ceremony to your needs. We used his basic ceremony outline without many changes and received many compliments on what a lovely and beautiful service it was. We did not use the tiny chapel, but judging by the pictures it looks quite awesome, and if it suits your needs would be fantastic for both ceremony and picture purposes! We can't recommend Bil enough!

Iantha was pleasant, punctual, and professional. We enjoyed her as our wedding officiant.
The booking process was easy and the price for our particular request was very reasonable. We took advantage of the 'courthouse special' and received a lovely civil ceremony at a location of our choice.

The officiant was awesome! My suggestion to any couple though would be to have an outline of how you want the ceremony to go for him to follow and rehearse if possible. We had an intimate ceremony and there were some things that were standard of a ceremony (like the pre written normal vows) that we did not want and were placed in our ceremony anyway. I think it was truly because we didn't have an outline for him and we know we weren't the only wedding he had coming up.

I contacted Bil at Tiny Chapel Weddings for his officiant services for my wedding. We were looking for something simple and affordable. Bil provided exactly that, he worked with us to find a ceremony script that met our needs, met us for the rehearsal and was prompt for the wedding ceremony. He was incredibly nice, polite and funny! I would reccomend Tiny Chapel wedding services to anyone looking for something outside a normal church service!
