Look no further; Tim is the only choice for a Northern California wedding photographer

Working with Tim was amazing!!! Having had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, we were scrambling to replan our wedding from across the country in 2021 when California finally relaxed guidelines for weddings. Once we chose to work with Tim, we chatted with him to explain what we were going for (a San Francisco museum wedding with less posed, more in-the-moment photos) and he beyond delivered. Right away, we could tell Tim was our type of person (my husband and I don't take ourselves seriously, so it was important to us to feel like we could goof off with our photographer and be ourselves). Day of the wedding, when we officially met Tim in person, we knew he was the right photographer for us. Beyond his amazing personality, his skills as a photographer are incredible. We ended up having a bunch of fog roll in on our early October wedding day, obstructing the view of Golden Gate we hoped to have for our outdoor ceremony. Even though the bridge didn't end up being visible, Tim found creative ways to work with the weather that day to deliver awesome shots we love. In some photos, light just manages to peek through the trees, creating really stunning lighting moments. In others, the eerieness of the fog surrounds us, causing a cool moody effect fitting of a fall wedding. We don't even miss the bridge shots we'd hoped to get; that's how much we love our photos. Do not hesitate to choose Tim for your special day!

Tim is not only a superb photographer, but he's a joy to work with! Easygoing, but professional. Silly, but seriously talented. He listened to what was important to us and he delivered tenfold! We're in love with our photos, and so are our families and friends. We especially appreciated that we didn't need to call Tim over to capture the fun, little moments; he knew where to be and when! Awesome photographer!

We loved working with Tim Halberg for our wedding! He was fun, friendly, and easy to work with right from the start. This was super important as we were not only working with a professional, but someone that we could relate to like a good friend. This made us much more comfortable on the wedding day too! Our photos turned out beautifully -- he captured both the biggest and smallest moments, making guests comfortable and having fun, while also being discreet when it mattered. Highly recommend

I couldn’t be happier that we had chosen Tim as our wedding photographer. We had hired him for both the wedding and a day-after shoot in Yosemite. All the photos were absolutely beautiful, the colors spot on, many of them really looked like works of art (you can see many on his instagram). Both my husband and I are a bit camera shy, but from the moment we met him on the wedding day, he made us and everyone in the wedding party feel extremely comfortable. Everything just felt so easy, there was never any stress, the entire experience was fun. I had been a bit anxious about the day-after shoot (hiking 30min in a wedding dress? Bad weather in the forecast) but he had clearly done this so many times and made it very easy and seamless for us. I love his attitude about “bad” weather (thunderclouds? Storms? Even better! We’ll get great photos!), and I think that this kind of positivity and confidence takes a lot of stress away from the couple.

Stunning Wedding Photography

My wife and I got married at Arista Winery in June 2019, and Tim photographed our wedding. We looked at more than a handful of potential photographers, and Tim was the clear winner. His naturalistic photos are beyond stunning, and he blended in perfectly with our family and friends, capturing all of the important moments without over-inserting himself or his team. All of Tim's pre- and post-wedding communications were timely and professional, and he had no problem coordinating with our event planner and videographer. We cannot recommend Tim highly enough!

Tim is THE MAN!!! He was so easy and accommodating to work with right from the start! He took the time and effort to get to know my husband and I and everything we were hoping to achieve with our engagement and wedding day photos! He was prompt and and among all of the little things us brides worry about on our wedding day, Tim took all that stress away and made it all about having fun and taking all of the photos we hoped and dreamed of! He made sure that my husband and I got the pics we wanted with all family members, friends and all the little details of our special day! Fun, fantastic work, professional,

Tim photographed our wedding in Sonoma and he was fantastic! He captured so many amazing candid shots that were very special. Looking through the pictures he really told a story. I felt that the wall art was a must and I never tire of looking at our beautiful photos on the dining room wall. He has a great personality, he’s very witty and we highly recommend him!

Amazing Yosemite Photographer!

We loved working with Tim! He was able to provide insight on the best places to take pictures in Yosemite, and we ended up getting shots we never thought were going to be possible. He was also great at suggesting new locations that we wouldn’t have thought of, and he was just a great guy to spend the day with. Winter wedding in Tahoe

Tim was amazing! My husband and I had such a great time working with him. He is really comfortable to be around. He is there when you need him and blends in like one of the guests when you don’t. He gently directed us and made us both feel really comfortable in front of the camera. He was down to going out in the freezing cold and take pictures while we played in knee deep snow. Everything felt natural even the posey pictures. We were happy with whole experience. We had a really small wedding and all of our guest couldn’t stop saying what a great time they had with him.

Please choose Tim! Tim is like the cousin/best friend/patient attentive brother/ basically a super awesome guy that fits in right away and knows what to do! He is into the smallest detail! Being the non Type A bride, I didn’t pay attention to things that I should have. For example, Tim was taking pictures when I was doing my makeup. I had a hair tie on my wrist. Tim asked me if the hair tie meant anything, I said “no, Oh! I have to take that off”. Those 6 hrs were amazing and I was so happy that Tim was there to capture all of it! I had my fair share of photographers (family weddings) and I have to say that Tim is the best! I was so glad that Tim was available that day! Tim thank you again and I will never forget you:) so excited to see more of your pictures on Instagram!!

Finding the right photographer for our wedding was one of the tasks that took us the most time. Aside from each other, and the memories, the pictures are the one true thing you leave your wedding day with. It was important to us that we found not only an excellent photographer, but also someone who made the experience more personal. Tim was that exact fit. Before we decided on hiring him, Tim spent a significant amount of time with each of us on the phone asking questions about our lives, what we love about each other, who is important to us and how we would like to see our day unfold. He also worked with us to develop a package that best suited our needs. Tim was a joy to work with throughout the entire process and made our wedding day so enjoyable and special. He captured all the intimate moments and requested shots, all while making people comfortable, getting family to smile and knocking out shots quickly so we could enjoy our day. Tim captured many moments without us even noticing his presence and he was so professional. After interviewing about 15 photographers, we decided Tim was the right person to photograph our wedding. We're so glad he agreed! Fun and genuine, he put us at ease all day. We traveled from out of state, but we felt like we were reuniting with an old friend by the time we met him at our ceremony. On top of a great personality, the photos are truly stunning. Tim was a DREAM to work with - I really don't have a single compliant about my experience. He captured me and my husband's big day in Calistoga perfectly. When people tell you that the photos are the only lasting token of your wedding they're so right. I felt like I missed parts of my wedding and Tim brought those details back forever. I'm also super short and was self conscious about my height in pictures. But thanks to Tim, I look 5'6!

Tim was awesome to work with and made the big day fun and smooth, despite the fact that we had some specific requests that were hard to work with. He also stepped in in a pinch when we had some last minute complications with another vendor. He was awesome to work with.

I can also say - sometimes you wonder if photographers just cherry picked the best 10 photos they have ever taken for their marketing website but that is not the case with Tim. We just got our photos back and they are truly incredible.

First and foremost, Tim is absolutely incredible!!! He has magnificent creativity, a phenomenal sense of adventure, he has an amazing ability to make each and every backdrop spectacular, he truly strives to ensure each and every couple has their photo dreams/photo experience come true! He allows you to take him along with you on your special adventure/special day making it that much more intimate, resulting in pictures that take your breath away. Before the special day, he goes above and beyond in really getting to know the couple, talking to them about what they want to ensure he captures exactly what is desired. If having jaw-dropping wedding photos is your priority, just book Tim, right now. When my now-husband and I decided to get married in Yosemite, I knew that having the right photographer was going to be crucial - someone who could capture the joy of our day and the love we have for each other, but also the unbelievable setting. I probably looked through every photographer who had ever shot in Yosemite, and though Tim hadn't yet at the time we booked him, we could tell by his portfolio that he could do the place right. Tim was incredible to work with from start to finish. He helped us figure everything out ahead of time (shot list, flow of the day, etc) and was incredibly professional and fun the day of the wedding. Most of the time, we didn't even notice he was around, which I think says a lot about a pro photographer. His photos were so incredible and he really did capture every special moment of our big day without being intrusive or making us feel rushed. For us, that was the perfect balance: great photos from a photographer who seemlessly blended into the scene of the day.

Tim photographed our engagement session and wedding day. All of our photos are beautiful! Tim was able to capture the excitement and energy from our guests on the dance floor, as well as the cute looks on our ring bearers and flower girls during the ceremony, and the small details that added up to a lovely day. We got last minute rain storms the night before and day of our wedding, but that didn't stop Tim from being able to perfectly capture all the love and joy from everyone. I know I'm partial, but I honestly believe I have the best engagement and wedding photos out of all my friends and family. If I could give Tim a higher rating, I absolutely would!

We called Tim with an idea-- Half Dome in the background, 10 people gathered around us, an exchange of vows where we'd start our first adventure as a married couple the next day-- The John Muir Trail. We were pretty laid back about almost all the details of our wedding, but we wanted to get the photographer right-- someone we could trust to capture the energy of the day so we and our families could simply enjoy the experience, someone who shared in our quirkiness and in our spirit of adventure, and given the intimate nature of the ceremony, someone who could get the job done while managing to feel like a friend. It was a lot to ask of a photographer, and Tim by far exceeded every single one of our expectations. He answered our call with a shared and genuine enthusiasm, offered some really helpful suggestions, and, if possible, got us even more excited about our day. When we look at the pictures of our wedding day (which arrived much earlier than expected!), we are reminded of the joy we felt that day surrounded by our loved ones and Yosemite's awe-inducing beauty. Neither of us is exactly the most natural in front of the camera, but Tim made us feel super comfortable, giving us direction, but also just letting us have fun and enjoy the hike we took to get some couple shots. He was super generous with his time and energy, hiking miles and scrambling up rocks to capture the shots. And we're just blown away with the results. Tim Halberg is truly gifted, and we're just so thankful that he's shared his talents with us. Thanks, Tim!

Tim is simply amazing. We planned a destination wedding in in the Napa area and Tim was with us for 3 days. Tim captured the welcome dinner, wine tour and our wedding. Our guest all loved Tim and the photos turned out amazing.

I would recommend Tim Halberg to everybody and anybody looking for a photographer! He was absolutely incredible! He was not intrusive while getting phenomenal photos of the whole day. I especially appreciated how not intrusive he was during the ceremony, he blended in and got some fantastic shots! He was so creative during our bridal party and private photos after the ceremony. Also, he made everybody feel so comfortable for some really genuine photographs. He made us laugh and smile during the whole process. If I had to re-do the entire event I would want more time for photos with him and I would absolutely book him again.

Whenever we looked at our engagement and wedding photos, they were like a set of story books unfolding of our engagement journey all the way to our big day. I would advise couples trying to book Tim to lock him down while you still have a chance. I'm not sure how his calendar is now, but I know he was in much demand when my wife and I got married. I would assume that is still the case since he is so good at what he does. His photos told the stories of our wedding more so than our wedding video did! And I say stories because we had so many friends and family that all had a great time at our wedding with different memories of what they enjoyed while in attendance. Tim captured the whole scale, from the crying flower girl, to the dignified uncles and aunts, to the "dance like no one's looking" bros, and everyone in-between. Tim also does a great job utilizing the environment of the photo shoot, capturing the character of the city/venue/landscape in all his photos. Tim is easy to work with, easy to talk, and is supremely good at what he does. I would recommend him a thousand times for any of your photography needs!

My fiancé and I went back and forth on photographers for quite some time for budget reasons. I really wanted Tim (because, well, have you seen his photos!!!!????) and he was totally willing to work with me to create a package that I felt comfortable with. Tim was awesome! We are both so glad we found Tim for our engagement pictures and wedding day. We stumbled on him through our search for Tahoe area photographers and knew he would be a good match based on his active and adventurous website. He was responsive and available for our wedding date and continued to follow up with me as I agonized over the wedding photographer choice.

I had a budget in mind when I started, knowing you shouldn't skimp here, but of course every awesome Tahoe style photographer I found was on the high end of that. Tim was willing to work with us a little bit on this and ultimately I realized having a photographer who was excited about coming to our hometown where we started dating for the engagement shoot; and having a photographer that doesn't put a time limit on either the engagement adventure or the wedding day was super important. Plus he had a love of backpacking, beer, and mountain biking :-)

Our engagement pictures turned out awesome, his photos are so vibrant and full of nature. I know our wedding photos are going to be amazing too and we had a great time with him. One of our favorite parts of the entire wedding day was when Tim pulled us aside at night to go outside for nighttime photos because the stars and Milky Way were just beautiful that night. It was so peaceful on our mountain top venue and was so nice to escape the craziness of the reception and take a moment to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the location we had chosen. The aspect of my wedding that was most important to me was the photography so I spent hours upon hours looking through the profiles and portfolios of photographers but none gave me the quality I was searching for until I found Tim Halberg. His images are so stunning and he is a joy to work with. He is a very calming presence to have on what can be a very stressful day. His love of adventure and all things fun comes out from the moment you meet him and he inspires that from everyone in front of the camera. My normally camera shy husband opened up as Tim talked with us and laughed while documenting our day. He was so professional and on top of things. Tim Halberg is a truly gifted photographer and we can't recommend him highly enough!! You would be very very lucky to book him as your wedding photographer.

Our wedding pictures were absolutely, breathtakingly STUNNING!!!!!! Tim really captured everything! The scenery, lighting, emotion, guests, energy...everything!

One of our favorite moments of the wedding day was after the ceremony. Instead of posing for typical bride and groom photos, Tim told us to just be ourselves as he shot pictures of us. We walked around the redwoods, climbed around an old mill and just enjoyed the moment. It felt like it was just the two of us and Tim's pictures captured the most incredible intimate moments. It was such a special time to share to take it all in.

Tim is the BEST! He was the photographer for our engagement session in China Camp and wedding in Healdsburg. Tim is extremely professional and on top of everything but tons of fun at the same time which made our events that much more memorable. All of our wedding party and even the guests still mention how nice and fun Tim was at our wedding which can be seen in our photos.

Tim took the time to check out our venue weeks ahead of time and scouted out some beautiful shots in the vineyard. His experience and preparation allowed us to maximize time at the wedding while getting all of the shots that we wanted; and more! Taking posed shots with my severely disabled sister and some of our elderly family can be tough but Tim did a great job working with the group (during a heat spell) while staying positive and came out with tons of great photos that we will enjoy for a lifetime.

Romantic poses don't come naturally for me, so I knew that our wedding photographer would have a challenge and need to be amazing. Fortunately, my wife found Tim and all my worrying was unnecessary. All you have to do with Tim is show up and he will take care of the rest. Tim is extremely talented, takes amazing photos and great to work with. Tim's photography and service far exceeded my expectations. From the initial meeting, engagment session, wedding day and even after the wedding, Tim's friendliness and professionalism made working with him easy and enjoyable. His amazing abilities and artistic eye captured the moments and details of our wedding day perfectly making it easy to relive the day every time my wife and I look through the pictures.
I can confidently say that having Tim photograph our wedding was the best decision I made for my wedding day. Second only to marrying my wife who also loves the photos.

Tim is the best! My husband and I always look back on our wedding photos and say "Wow Tim did such an amazing job- so GLAD we hired him!" One year later i'm still amazed at the details he captured on our wedding day. Here are some things you can expect with Tim as your photographer....

1. Amazing timeless photos. Tim's photographic style is timeless because he does not use filters (think instagram) or get caught up with the latest trend. Colors are vibrant and faces are not photoshopped to look fake. I'll never get tired of looking at our album
2. Every moment captured. I could literally put together a detailed photo timeline of eveyrthing that happened that day plus moments I missed in person and details I just didnt have time to admire!
3. An organized wedding day. Tim captured all the family photos I asked him to and I hardly noticed him that day. In other words, he lets you enjoy your day while he takes care of the rest.
4. Great client service. From day one Tim took the time to listen to us both and took both of our personalities into consideration. A year later I can still ask him for advice on things like the best place to print our photos and he always responds as if he was still working with you.
5. Very reasonably priced packages. Its very daunting to hear prices quoted when trying to find a photographer. Tim worked with us to help us stay within our budget. There are many photographers out there that might charge less, but for the quality of his photos, his price is well worth it.
6. Generousity. Once you hire time, he doesnt hold back! We got over 400 photos from our wedding day, all of which were given to us in Hi Res format. He doesnt charge by hour like many photographers do. He simply does what it takes.

If any one of my close friends or family needed a photographer for their big day, I would recommend Tim in a heartbeat!

Tim Halberg was absolutely fantastic to work with for our engagement and wedding photos. In our search for a photographer, there were three main aspects that were important to us – personality, shooting style, and of course, budget. We met with all of the photographers we considered. The biggest thing for us was how comfortable we felt around the person, especially considering how much time we were going to be spending with him/her (we had an engagement shoot and wedding events on Friday evening and all day Saturday). We met with Tim in San Francisco, a long way from his home near Sacramento, and he was really easy-going, happy, and energetic. He’s always smiling and generally thrilled to be discussing your wedding and vision you have for it. Onto style, Tim has a particular shooting style which we liked. We wanted to have someone take more of a photo-journalistic approach to get genuine emotion from us and our guests, rather than having a lot of staged portrait-style photos. He was, however, very flexible when we did request some portrait style photos before each event and post ceremony. We really appreciated his flexibility and the fact that he wanted to accommodate our requests. Our last piece of criteria was budget. Tim is very transparent about the costs and does not force packages on you like some other photographers we had met with. He is flexible and provides his recommendation of how he can stay within your budget. Overall, we definitely recommended Tim for your photographer needs. He is fun to be around, really easy to get to know, and will do an amazing job capturing your special event. He is also realistic on the turn-around time and we’ll never forget how quickly he was able to provide us with our engagement shoot images so we could use the photos in a booklet for our welcome bags – that was truly exceptional service! Tim works hard and he has a great time doing it. Thank you, Tim – we will always treasure the moments you captured during our wedding!

Tim and Cheryl handled our engagment and wedding pictures and they were outstanding!

Both are very laid back, easy to talk to and very good and letting moments happen.

Some of my favorite pictures are the ones they took that happened organically: looks, moments, impromptu poses. They have a knack for capturing the emotion of those times that is a great reminder of what the day was like when we weren't posing for pictures.

They also have a great eye for making the most of backgrounds and scenery. They frame their pictures in a creative manner that allows even everyday environments to be meaningful backdrops.

Tim and Cheryl were an absolute pleasure and my wife and I loved having them as our professional wedding photographers. My wife and I had our wedding in Santa Barbara less than a year ago. We loved the area but were not entirely familiar with it. However, Tim and Cheryl were, and for our engagement photo shoot they selected various spots throughout the city to set the mood and serve as different backgrounds. During the big day, Tim and Cheryl again took the lead in identifying different spots which served as wonderful settings and backdrops to our photos from the church ceremony to the reception. Tim and Cheryl were very patient and pleasant in dealing with/photographing us and our many guests. We never had to worry about them. They also put together a slide show of photos taken during the ceremony and cocktail hour, which they played throughout the reception and which our guests (as well as ourselves) loved. All in all, Tim and Cheryl were a lot of fun and totally placed us at ease, especially since my wife and I were not used to having our pictures taken. Tim and Cheryl really made an effort in getting to know us and to suit the photos to our personal preferences and style. The actual photos were wonderful and we (as well as our guests) were impressed and very pleased with the final products.

Tim and Cheryl Halberg photographed our wedding in April 2012 in San Diego. It was a huge pleasure working with them, from our first email and phone conversations, to our fun engagement shoot in Palm Springs, to their beautiful work the night of our wedding. As the bride, I really appreciated how professional Tim was during the whole process -- I never had to wait long for a phone or email reply, as he was incredibly responsive. This was a huge comfort during the stressful wedding-planning process!

From the beginning, Tim and Cheryl placed an emphasis on getting to know us as a couple so that they could best capture our relationship on film. Both my husband and I are not so comfortable having our pictures taken, but with Tim and Cheryl, they put us such at ease that it was actually fun! And the photos turned out beautifully -- we loved their photojournalistic style that was modern and classic at the same time. Our guests loved the slideshow they were able to somehow throw together the very same night of the wedding! Amazing. I also really appreciated that they went above and beyond, staying late to take pictures of our guests during the reception. They are genuinely nice and generous people, who are also amazing photographers!

We selected Tim and Cheryl to photograph after our wedding coordinator recommended them. We looked at their photography on their blog and website and immediately knew that their style was what we wanted. First Tim took engagement photos for us. My husband who typically hates pictures of himself loved the photos. We took our engagement shots at the beach and Tim captured both the natural environment and us beautifully. Both Tim and Cheryl were there for our April wedding. They took so many incredible photos. They both just knew what would make an incredible shot and I was so thrilled with all my wedding photos. Everyone in our family couldn’t believe how well they turned out. I even had Cheryl design my wedding album and she has such an eye for detail. I would definitely recommend the Halberg photographers. After spending weeks researching photographers for my wedding on 6/1/13 my wife and I stumbled upon Tim and his wife Cheryl. We absolutely fell in love with their work and knew that we had to have them shoot our wedding.

After talking to Tim on the phone we knew that it would be a good fit. Tim went above and beyond explaining his different packages and tailoring one to suit our needs. Tim was always extremely quick to respond to emails and phone calls.

We met in person during our engagement shoot and Tim and Cheryl instantly put us at ease. We had a great time and ended up with some amazing photos.

When it came to the big day Tim and Cheryl went above and beyond and worked tirelessly and were practically invisible. They made sure to get every important shot and many candid moments without us even knowing they were there. We were confident that they would get some great shots, but we were absolutely blown away when we got our first glimpse of the photos after Tim quietly set up his laptop and played a slideshow during the reception, which was a huge hit.

We received all of our final images extremely quickly and I can't tell you how happy I am with the final product. They made our wedding look like it should be on the cover of a wedding magazine.

My wife and I got hitched just about a year ago in Santa Barbara. I randomly found Tim and Cheryl on a blog when searching for a wedding photographer. The photojournalisitic style and use of natural light was exactly what i was looking for!

They were super cool to work with. We were instantly at ease when meeting them and shooting our engagement shots, which were amazing and gorgeous! Communication with them was flawless and I never once had to worry about them during the wedding planning process. They captured our wedding at Nicholson Ranch in Sonoma beautifully. They had a slideshow at the reception from the pictures taken earlier in the day. My husband and I and our families absolutely fell in love with the pictures. We've gotten so many compliments.

The biggest challenge for our wedding (3 months ago) was finding the right photographer. This was due in large part to me being a *former* professional photographer, having spent several years as a wedding photographer myself, and being represented by the world's top agency, Getty Images. My standards were such that I probably wouldn't even be pleased if I shot the wedding myself!!

My search for perfection frustrated my wife to no end... until a friend introduced us to Tim Halberg. Tim is relatively new to the Bay Area, having moved up from Santa Barbara where he started his business after attending the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography. His work was an instant match for our wedding: Timeless, classy and, true to his brand, "Adventurous, Playful, Indulgent."

Tim took both our engagement and wedding photos and my wife and I loved them both. He was professional and made sure he got the perfect shot. He is very personable which was helpful for me to relax and be myself while he captured the moment.

One thing that was nice was his flexibility to make sure we got the pictures we wanted at the locations we wanted, and even at the time of day we wanted.

During the wedding he did a great job at getting the moments that were authentic and real. For example, I bent down to give my nieces a hug and I didn't know I had a picture of this moment until I got the pictures back for the wedding. He captured the entire ceremony and both my wife and I were thrilled with the pictures.

He continued to shoot throughout the reception and continued to get great pictures we will have in our house forever.

I think Tim Halberg is a great choice for any wedding because of his outgoing personable personality and his eye for the right moment and a great shot.

Hiring Tim Halberg as our wedding photographer was definitely one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding. Photos were the top priority for me, so we met with quite a few, but fell in deep "like" after seeing Tim's portfolio online and and then knew it was a match when we met him in person.

We were married at the Jim Henson Studios in Los Angeles - definitely not a typical wedding venue and it was a big brightly colored party. Tim did such an amazing job capturing the day - all the details, incredible candids and every last people grouping we could have asked for. He made us both (camera-fearing people) feel totally comfortable and was never intrusive while he took these amazing photos. I know our wedding was a-typical for him - he's done elegant vineyard weddings, scenic beach weddings, rustic vintage weddings and every one of them looks perfect. It's a testament to his talent as a photographer that he can completely adapt his style in order to suit the wedding he's shooting. Communication leading up to the wedding was always timely and thorough. And he and Cheryl were very patient afterwards as we put together the album. His photobooth was so much fun too! I love that it printed instantly but was completely self sufficient - it didn't require someone to man it, so people could just jump in front of the camera and and go. Everyone loved it.
I can't speak highly enough about Tim - we just had the best experience and gorgeous photos to show for it.

My husband and I were married at Nestldown in Los Gatos last weekend and next to the venue, the photography was the most important vendor to me. I spent months looking through photography portfolios and as soon as I saw their blog, I knew I needed to book them.

We live in New Hampshire so we dd not meet them until we went to Santa Barbara in July and had our engagement session. My husband was worried that it would be awkward or uncomfortable to have people we just met taking our picture for an hour, but it was completely the opposite. Tim and Cheryl make a great team and they immediately made both of comfortable. We had so much fun during our session and the photos were amazing!

The day of our wedding (November 3rd) was also their wedding anniversary. They are both laid back and their demeanor is exactly what I hoped for during the busy day. They worked hard all day and at the reception they put a laptop out displaying the photos they had taken that day. I had guests come up to me and tell me they could not believe the photos. Our bridal party loved both of them and they made everyone laugh throughout the day.

I cannot recommend this pair enough! They are excellent photographers and awesome people!

We cannot thank Tim and Cheryl enough for the most amazing photos from our wedding day.

Planning an intimate destination wedding in Santa Barbara (Sept 2012) we knew we wanted a photographer who could capture the memories for us to share with our family and friends back home.

Being a bit OCD, I interviewed over 70 photographers (seriously) and words cannot even begin to express how happy we are that Tim and Cheryl were there on our special day!!

Tim and Cheryl are fun and professional they quickly put us at ease on our wedding day. They captured so many incredible moments and surprised us with some priceless ones of our families that we cannot even thank them enough for the brilliant photography!!

What originally drew me most to their photography is their ability to take candid shots as well as their artistic quality. They also were very nice, professional, quick to respond by email or text and were flexible. The day of it was if they where ghosts at times,not at all obtrusive but silently in the shadows taking in the vibe of our wedding perfectly. They even had a notebook set up for guests to see the pictures just taken that day to view at reception. The response was incredible as we were all wowed by their talent. Even after as I placed them on Facebook the responses were overwhelming. You can look for others in their price range and you will start to see the difference in the quality or the mundaneness of other people's work. Don't skimp on what you spend or you'll regret it. These photographers were worth every dime spent. I couldn't be happier.

Where do i start??? Words can not express how fortunate I was to have found Tim and Cheryl on the internet..

I had a destination wedding in Anguilla (I live in NJ) and I refused to have just "ANYONE" Photograph my wedding.. Being that Anguilla was a destination to any photographer living in the United States I was lucky enough to have MANY options.. Being as crazy and focused as i am... I think i called and interviewed about 20 different photographers based on word of mouth and looking at their website.

To make the story short I fell in love with Tim and Cheryl from the start!! Through our conversations I felt so comfortable and confident that I couldn't wait to meet them in person =)

Besides their creativity and ability to tell a wonderful story through their photography My husband and I made a new friend.. Tim and Cheryl stayed in Anguilla for the remaining week where we had the opportunity to get to know their amazing, fun and adventurous personalities..

I couldn't be more happier with their presence, comfortability, creativity, and photography skills.. I absolutely LOVED my custom made wedding album however, the only problem I had was choosing which pictures I wanted in my album... Every single one stole my heart.
I ended up with 150 pictures because each one captured a special moment..

I highly recommend Tim Halberg to capture your most important day in your life.. I promise you that when you look through your album it will feel like you are revisiting that special day. On top of this you will make a new friend.. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH TIM & CHERYL!! you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

You're in for a great experience!

Tim offered an abundance of amazing and creative ideas that helped shape our wedding into a perfect day. He went above and beyond by making our dream location at Glacier Point possible, despite road closures. Who else would be willing to jump right in and climb a mountain to get the most epic shots?! When we had to make changes to our wedding plans due to unforeseen circumstances, Tim was understanding and accommodating. You will be in good hands with Tim as your photographer!

Great Photographer for Yosemite!

We had Tim photograph us in Yosemite in late September. We did the full day elopement package and it was totally worth it. We let him know all the places we wanted to photograph - El Capitan, Tunnel View, Groves, Taft Point, Sentinel, and starry night and he organized it so well that we were able to do all the shots. We also felt like we got a personal tour of Yosemite in 1 day. I totally recommend using Tim, he is very knowledgeable of Yosemite and made it a fun adventure that we will always remember! Thank you!

If you like candid photos Tim is the guy for you.

Our wedding happened during the Kincade fires and we had to move venues last minute. Tim and his team were flexible with the changes. Our pictures turned out beautifully and we can't wait to share them with family and cherish them for years to come. The only thing I would mention is we were supposed to have a stationary photographer ( sort of like a photobooth) but they ended up using that photographer as a second roaming photographer the day of. It ended up working out great since we got lots of amazing shots from different angles. We are really glad we booked with Tim.

Great destination wedding photographer

We used Tim Halberg as the photographer for our wedding in Squaw Valley in September 2018. We don't live in that area and were looking for someone that could travel a bit. We got a good feeling from him after our initial phone conversation. We chose him strictly off our phone conversation and the online galleries he emailed to us. We liked his laid-back vibe and loved how he captured the vibrant colors in scenery and his candid shots. Tim made a point to ask each of us about our partner to make sure he captured moments that were special to us. We were very happy with our photos! Tim was easy to work with and did a great job. His price was similar to other vendors. We were very pleased with him and his work and would definitely recommend him.

Engagement photos can be kind of a weird, surreal experience, especially if you don't live your life in front of a camera. Tim was so good at creating a relaxed vibe where we felt we could let our personality as a couple shine through. He met up with us beforehand for a quick hangout, which really helped build trust and get us comfortable opening up during the actual shoot. Tim was able to capture our goofy natural interactions with beautiful framed natural backdrops. In addition to being a skilled photographer, Tim is also a super nice guy - you'll have a lot of fun during the shoot. We're so happy we went with him!

I was married in June 2014 in Sonoma Valley at Kunde Family Estate and Tim was our photographer. I can not say enough good things about Tim. He was professional and gave direction, but was laid-back and go with the flow at the same time - a perfect balance. My biggest pet peeve with photographers at weddings is when you see more of the photographer than the Bride & Groom. This was not the case with Tim and his assistant. They were unobtrusive and discreet yet still managed to provide amazing pictures that captured the essence of our wedding. We did a destination wedding and I was not able to meet Tim until the day before our wedding, however, he was great at communication and could always be reached through email or phone and showed up to every event on schedule (and even a little early). Tim has a real gift in telling a story through his pictures and if you want a professional photographer that provides amazing pictures without the fuss or stress that sometimes comes with the picture taking process, than I would highly recommend Tim Halberg Photography!

Tim and Cheryl were amazing!! Being a wedding photographer myself it was hard passing over the duty of photographing my special day. I completely trusted them though. I knew they would take care of it and do an amazing job and that they did. I am so happy with my pictures. Their personalities are great too. They made the photography process so much fun. Everyone was commenting on how great they were. I would for sure recommend them to anyone.

Tim and Cheryl are great! So personable and attentive. They take beautiful photos and are wonderful to work with! I loved that they brought a 3rd shooter along, I felt like they were really on top of every shot.
