We absolutely loved Tim! We had great communication before our wedding! He guided us through the whole process of how the ceremony was going to go perfectly! He is so good at what he does! Took everything from our questionnaire and just made our ceremony perfectly written for just us! With the perfect balance of humor and heart! Everyone loved Tim and we were asked if he was a friend of ours! -

Wedding Day
Tim was excellent! Our ceremony would not have been so perfect without him. The ceremony was the perfect length and he made all of our wedding day jitters wash away. Our guests loved how he told our story it had just the right amount of personal touch. He was so attentive and constantly checked in on us leading us to the big day so we had nothing to worry about. We could not have asked for a better officiant than Tim.
My wife was the one who made the connection, and from the moment Tim showed up — in a utili-kilt, combat boots, and bright pink laces — we knew this was going to be exactly our kind of ceremony. He brought so much personality, warmth, and presence to the day without ever making it about himself.
What really blew us away, though, were his words. Somehow, Tim managed to speak about our relationship in a way that felt deeply personal, honest, and true — like he had known each of us for years and years. Nothing felt generic or copied-and-pasted. The ceremony felt like us: meaningful, funny, emotional, grounded, and full of love.
Tim helped make one of the most important moments of our lives feel sacred without being stiff, personal without being performative, and unforgettable in all the best ways. We are so grateful he was part of our wedding day.

Tim Greathouse is INCREDIBLE! We got the elopement package for our small, intimate wedding. It was everything we dreamed of and more. He was communicative leading up to the wedding, and arrived early to handle paperwork, formally meet us, and discuss what to expect prior to the ceremony. Additionally, because English is not my husband's first language, he was originally very nervous to exchange vows. To ease his nerves, Tim went over the vows with him a few times prior to the ceremony while I got ready. During the ceremony he repeated the lines in smaller chunks as necessary where my husband struggled. Tim made sure both my husband (especially) and I felt very supported and comfortable all the way through. We are beyond thankful and joyous with the amount of grace, patience, and kindness Tim emanates and possesses. All of our guests were equally as impressed as we were. We couldn't have asked for any better for our wedding! Thank you Tim! -

A wise man once said "When you do everything right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" when it comes to Tim that statement is incorrect as everyone at our wedding knew Tim did everything right.
To us he was an anchor with his calm demeanor and wise words he knew exactly what to say to keep us not only focused on the task at hand but also to keep us stress free the entire time.
To our guests he appeared as an old friend, someone who knew us forever and was able to speak about us with a wit and candor only obtained by years of bonding and adventures. In truth we had never met Tim before we hired him to officiate but his professionalism and talent elevated him beyond such a simple title.
I cannot thank him enough, and I cannot recommend him enough. -

Before you read my review, go book Tim NOW before it’s too late! It will be the best decision you make (other than saying YES!, of course).
Tim officiated our wedding on April 25 at Waters Edge Vinyard in Louisville, Ohio. My wife and I found Tim online and instantly fell in love with his quirky and thorough website. After calling Tim up, we quickly realized we wasn’t lying—he really does love his job! At that point, we knew that no one else but Tim could officiate our wedding.
Tim is an expert in his craft and a skilled orator. More importantly, he is a great guy. Tim will put in the time that your special day deserves. On your big day, he will speak passionately about love and commitment and find a way to share your love story in a way that will make the crowd shed a tear. We had so many guests ask us who Tim was, how we knew him, and whether he had a card. Tim was a hit! And we are so thankful to him for making our wedding day an unforgettable one.
I can’t forget to mention his impeccable fashion instincts. 10/10. -

Tim deserves a medal… or at least a drink on us. When my groom was stressed, he handled it like a pro and kept everything running smoother than we ever could have imagined. Tim is the absolute best. He totally nailed the whimsical, but still touching vibe we wanted for the wedding. Tim calmed our nerves without making us stress or feel stifled. He absolutely brought the house down. We had multiple guests ask where we found Tim - saying they got married too young and didn't know you could have a wedding like ours. Another guest said they'd seen another of Tim's ceremonies and were excited as soon as he walked out. For all that Tim shone, the best part is how he made us shine as well as our bridal party and readers. We absolutely could not be happier with our ceremony or Tim's service. Tim was incredible! Unbelievably kind and really took the time to get to know me and my now husband! We knew we wanted to handfast as well as have a non secular ceremony. I dug around and came across Tim a few days into my search. Tim was quick to respond and we were actually able to chat over the phone for about an hour. During that time, Tim told me what he was about, asked what i was looking for and even took the time to make non-wedding related small talk to get to know me better. I KNEW he was our person after that. Our ceremony was the perfect balance of sweet, sentimental, fun and unique all while being perfectly tailored to us. His process was simple and his prices are more than reasonable especially considering the time and effort he takes into preparing. “How long have you known Tim?” Since we got married, this has quickly become one of the most common questions from friends and family. The honest answer is just under a year. In that time we had a couple of phone calls, a handful of texts and emails, and most importantly his questionnaire. And somehow, that was all Tim needed to write the perfect ceremony for us. Our ceremony was so personal and so perfectly "us" that we couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks afterward.
If most of your experience with weddings has been religious weddings, it can be difficult to envision what a non-religious wedding ceremony can look like. Tim's process and questionnaire are structured so that you can take the time to think through and decide what you do and don't want for your ceremony. There's zero pressure to do things "because it's tradition", and he's conscientious to ask how you want to be introduced. We took our time filling out the questionnaire, and it actually ended up being one of our favorite parts of planning the wedding.
Tim is LGBTQIA+ friendly, open to skipping any traditions you don’t want, and excited to help make something new and fresh if that’s your vision. He has such a warm, affable, calming presence on the day of the wedding that puts everyone at ease. We can’t recommend him enough, and we’ll keep telling anyone who asks: hire Tim as your officiant! -

Tim was amazing to work with from start to finish! From our initial phone call with Tim, we knew right away that we wanted him to be a part of our big day. We can’t say enough great things about booking Tim Greathouse for our wedding! From start to finish, Tim made planning our wedding ceremony so fun and easy.
For a little context, my new husband Zak and I live in Europe and had our wedding in Cleveland on June 7th. Working with an officiant we had never met in person before our wedding could have been a challenge, but Tim truly took the time and care to get to know both Zak and me as a couple through Zoom meetings. Despite the distance, his warmth and genuine interest in our story made us feel like we had known him for years! We loved Tim’s online questionnaire too, which allowed Zak and I to reflect on and write about all the things we love about each other. This process not only made us appreciate each other more but also gave Tim the insights he needed to craft the most beautiful ceremony I’ve ever seen!
When we finally met in person, Tim was seriously the coolest guy of all time. He was so wonderful to work with! Right from the start, he made Zak and me feel at ease and comfortable during the rehearsal and before the ceremony with his funny jokes and captivating stories. His ability to blend humor with heartfelt moments was truly so special, and it immediately put us and our wedding party at ease.
On the day of the ceremony, Tim delivered a beautiful, heartfelt speech that was incredibly personal to us. He chose a reading from Les Miserables that was so perfect and meaningful for us, it brought tears to our eyes. His delivery was so genuine and heartfelt that multiple people came up to us after the ceremony and asked if we had known Tim for years because he conveyed our personalities and story so well! It was as if he had been a close friend who had known us throughout our relationship.
Tim made us laugh, he made us cry, and he helped create a ceremony filled with moments that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. His ability to capture the essence of our relationship and translate it into words was truly a gift. The ceremony was not just an event but a reflection of our love and commitment to each other, something we and our guests will never forget.
In addition to his incredible skill as an officiant, Tim was also incredibly organized and professional. He was always available to answer our questions and provide guidance, making the entire planning process seamless. His dedication and passion for his work shone through in every interaction we had with him.

I’m going to divide this wedding story into two parts.
Part 1 is the tl;dr version, which is to say: that Tim was and is phenomenal. We cannot recommend him enough, he is a consummate professional and genuinely takes the time to understand every aspect of your special day. We were married in May of 2014 and he so positively influenced my family that my second cousin and his wife were married by Tim in 2022. He remembered him from that long ago. Get him. What are you even doing? It’s not even a question.
Ok.
Listen, so congratulations if you’re still with me, I’m now going to go straight into part 2, and it is for the savvy, sophisticated reader.
For full disclosure: I did receive Tim’s permission to tell this story, as it is important to remember that we are all human. You need to understand that things will happen to your wedding plans that are absolutely out of your control and the best advice I can give is to just roll with it.
So.
We decided to get married in May 2014. At the time, we found Tim because we were non-religious and did not want an extravagant over-the-top wedding. It’s just not our style. After reaching out to him to set up a time to discuss our wedding plans, Tim talked to us separately on the phone for well over an hour each, really asking deep and probing questions to get to the heart of our love for each other. He was hilarious, quick-witted, and gave sound advice. After having perhaps three or four, 1-hour conversations, I’d felt like we’d known each other our entire lives.
After gathering his information, he developed a custom game plan for our special day. He truly went deep into understanding both of us, and it was noticeable during every step of the process.
Our wedding planning continued, and since it was a relatively low-key event with about 70 people, we were able to fund and plan it ourselves with minimal stress.
Then, about a month out before our wedding, we reached out to him to confirm the date/time, and if he had any questions.
No answer.
We reached out again, this time by calling and texting. Days went by.
Nothing.
Eventually after a couple of weeks, and now in a desperate time crunch, we were forced to abandon Tim and go with someone else who was able to get us done with about less than 2 weeks' notice.
About a week before the wedding, we were at the store and I distinctly remember my wife’s face going white as a ghost as it was her phone ringing and it was Tim! She hung up on him, and he left a voicemail. We debated even listening to the voicemail, without deleting it outright having never known the message he left, and I’m glad we decided against deleting it.
It turns out that Tim had a terrible medical issue arise that completely took him out of commission for a month, with no way to communicate with us or others. Being medical professionals, the things he told us could not have been made up. There was no question about what had occurred to him.
We called him back, all three crying on the phone together. The answer was yes, Tim, we absolutely want you to officiate our wedding if you feel like you can do it. He said he could and that he would not let us down. Fortunately, the other lady who agreed to take us on understood the situation and very graciously ripped up the check we provided her.
Flash forward to our wedding, Tim was incredible. My family/friends/co-workers did nothing but compliment the man stating “he is the best we’ve ever seen”. And he was. We were beyond grateful everything worked out, and he did not disappoint us. He gave us a special, non-religious ceremony that held more value than any religious ceremony I’d ever attended in my life.
My second cousin was in attendance that day, and that inspired him to get Tim in 2022.
This story is to illustrate what happens in life, particularly in wedding planning. We have stuff happen that is well beyond our control. But what is in my control is to send him nothing but praise and accolades that he deeply deserves. Tim will not let you down. Thanks for reading.

Tim was absolutely everything I needed as a bride. My family and I are not religious, but my husbands family is, and they were not thrilled with the fact that we chose to have an outdoor wedding rather than a church wedding. I told Tim this, and he assured me that he would be able to appease to everyone in the audience (I know it shouldn't matter because it's supposed to be about the married couple and no one else.... but it's very stressful when people you love disapprove of big decisions). Tim was able to deliver EXACTLY what I hoped for. He shared so much information about my husband and I's relationship and was able to include some humor and emotional aspects. He truly captured our story and helped the audience understand the love between us. After the wedding, we had SO MANY people tell us how great our officiant was (even those that were wanting us to have a religious wedding) because our ceremony was much more meaningful and personal than their original (Catholic) expectations.
Before the ceremony itself, Tim helped with all of my anxiousness. He impressed everyone at our rehearsal as he took complete control and helped direct everyone and everything. It was like having a wedding coordinator. He knew exactly what to do and how to orchestrate everyone. My venue coordinator even applauded him for such a job well done. Then, on the day of my wedding, I was hit with a last minute decision of whether I should have my wedding indoors or outdoors because there was a 90% chance of rain. I was so adamant about having our ceremony outside, but so many people (my photographer, videographer, DJ, venue coordinator, some family, etc) were telling me I need to change the ceremony to have it indoors because the rain was looking pretty promising. My husband and I agreed that we wanted to be outside, even if it was raining, and the ONLY person who was on our side was Tim. I will never forget the phone call I had with Tim an hour before walking down the aisle. He told me that he will marry us in the pouring rain and it would be amazing memory for us forever..... that's all I needed. I just needed someone on my side and Tim was it. (One thing to note, is that Tim even had another ceremony they he had to officiate after mine, but he was willing to inconvenience himself, get soaking wet just for us, and figure out what he needed to do for the next wedding... he was 100% committed!) Thankfully, we held our ceremony outside and the rain held off!! I have Tim to thank for this because I almost gave into everyone else's pushy opinions, but Tim wanted to make sure I got what I wanted.
Tim is such a remarkable person. From the moment you have your first phone call with him, it is obvious that he is a true, genuine character who is passionate about what he does. He has an extremely friendly demeanor about him, and his humor is so much fun. Tim is great with his words and absolutely worth the price you pay to hire him. He honestly deserves so much more than he asks for. I can't recommend Tim enough! I will always encourage anyone planning a wedding to consider him. Outside of my bias because it was my own wedding, Tim's performance was the most sincere I have ever seen at any wedding I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot!).

Initially, I was all about having the shortest and most basic ceremony possible as I have QUITE the stage fright, but at the same time my husband and I wanted to do our own vows (I'm very glad we did.) and have a meaningful ceremony.
Tim's style and demeanor in delivering the ceremony really helped put me at ease. (He did great when I messed up timing on walking down the isle and delivering my "I will" at the right time. My jitters had my brain somewhere else. 😅) Also- shout out to Happy Days Lodge! That space + Tim really helped make our ceremony feel relaxed, cozy, and intimate despite our high headcount. The combination of the officiant and venue made our ceremony wonderful.
Sooo many guests had many wonderful things to say. I loved watching the video of our ceremony, and I look forward to watching it for years to come. I'm so thankful we went with Tim! -

Tim did a fabulous job with our ceremony. I had many guests compliment our choice of officiant once the ceremony was over. He was a pleasure to work with and made us feel at ease with his sense of humor and calming demeanor. I felt that the ceremony was very unique and not just a generic "Do you take...." blah, blah, blah. (Because who honestly wants that anymore?) 😂 I will recommend Tim to anyone I know that is in need of an officiant. Thank you again for the beautiful ceremony! (My veil getting ripped of my head and the cell phone alarm going off just made it that much more entertaining. 😅) -

Highly HIGHLY recommend Tim Greathouse as your wedding officiant. He strikes a perfect balance between personal and professional: he responded exactly to our wishes and yet was never invasive in his questions getting to know us. He was warm and friendly and yet focused in our planning conversations. And the ceremony he performed was absolutely perfect: he truly took the time to understand us and our wishes and he delivered a ceremony that was spot-on. Can't say enough good things about Tim! -

Finding the perfect wedding officiant was at the top of our list when it came to planning our wedding. We were looking for someone that fit our personalities and could create a ceremony that was non-religious, laid back, and could set the tone for our wedding. Tim did just that and more. Not only did he curate a lovely ceremony for me and my husband, he was able to integrate the most important aspects of our life and painted a beautiful picture of our relationship for our friends and family. He did such an amazing job for our non-traditional wedding (neither of us are religious but he will include whatever you want or don’t want). We received so many compliments from our guests and Tim is not only an awesome officiant, he is truly a kind and caring individual who is amazing at helping people celebrate their love as they embark on this next step in their journey. Tim did a great job walking us through what to expect with the flow of our ceremony, as we didn't have a rehearsal dinner. He kept us relaxed and made our guests laugh. He created such a great narrative and was so personable that our guests were surprised to learn he wasn't a close family friend who knew us all along. Later on he shared a copy of our vows with me, which made a nice anniversary surprise for my husband. Thank you Tim for your help creating such a lovely celebration! -

We are SO grateful to have found Tim as our officiant! He was kind, friendly and punctual. Most importantly, he stays true to himself and his beliefs. Tim helped modernize some very outdated wedding traditions while respecting family members' wishes and different points of view. Tim was funny and conversational throughout our whole ceremony. We had numerous people ask us if he was a personal friend! (We had only just met him in person the night before!) He kept the flow of the ceremony moving along in a tremendous story-like manner and captivated everyone's attention thourhgout. We received so many compliments on his service!! -

Tim is the BEST wedding officiant I have ever seen in action and we were lucky that is was for our wedding!! We couldn't have been happier. Tim will make you feel at ease and you will actually enjoy and have fun at your ceremony. He knows how to personalize it so that it has special and deep meaning to the couple getting married so much so that you will never forget what was said. It will carry you through the day and beyond as one of the best moments of your life! My now husband and I shared the perfect moments over looking Lake Erie listening to Tim read why we chose to marry each other (that part was a surprise since you submit your answers separately) and also special passages that Tim chose for us. Tim listens to exactly what you want on your questionnaire and then he delivers above and beyond your expectations. I never thought the ceremony would ever be my favorite part of the day, but it truly was thanks to Tim!! Many of my guests said that it was the best wedding ceremony they have been to. Big shout out to Tim for making our day the best day ever. ...and if you hire him your wedding ceremony will be one of your BEST days too!! -

We couldn't have wished into existence a better officiant for our wedding than Tim. I knew from reading his profiles and reviews that he was exactly what we were looking for. But y’all – this man was above and beyond.
First off, we planned the wedding ourselves. It was a very small gathering with no wedding party. Due to some health problems, we were behind the curve leading up to the big day. Tim took it in stride and still managed to craft us a touching, personalized ceremony. He asked for a lot of history up front and seemed to know just how to get the right info out of us. It's been over two years and I just came across the pre-work my husband provided Tim a couple weeks ago, buried on his desk – so sweet it made me cry. He also found us a great bagpipe player on short notice!
But it was on the day of ceremony that Tim truly shined. We came from across the country by car to be married near family. Super hectic and we ended up late to our own wedding. Naturally, my husband had an anxiety attack in the parking lot. Tim says to me “don't worry - I'm like human valium. I got this.”
And he did! We didn't have a rehearsal, so this was the first time they had ever met. I don't know what he said or did, but Tim helped him pull it together and get back to breathing normal. He got through the rest of the day super chill.
We forgot the handfasting cord. No worries – Tim reworked the ceremony on the spot. And it was a beautiful. So much better than if we had tried to hammer out the details ourselves. I don't remember exactly what was said, but I do remember being delighted and seeing the joy on our guests' faces as he told our story.
Our wedding day could’ve – even should’ve – been a disaster. And while our family was super supportive, I don't think we could've gotten through it without Tim. His flexibility, kindness, enthusiasm, and valium-like demeanor were exactly what we needed. An absolute beacon of light and love. He was so nice to be around that we wanted to bring him to the reception. We haven't seen him since, but we'll always see him as a friend.

Tim did such an incredible job officiating our wedding; he’s a great guy and we really enjoyed having him around. He kept everyone on the same page, made sure we knew exactly what we needed to do and say, and everyone liked him a lot!
We can’t thank him enough for de-escalating our stress before the ceremony; he was very intuitive, conversational and Billy was especially grateful to have him by his side before the processional began.
The ceremony was so personal, thoughtful and just the right length! We had a blast filling out his survey, it was a great way to reflect on our relationship, and it allowed him to make our ceremony totally about us and our relationship, which is exactly what we wanted!
We got so many compliments on our ceremony – we were seriously blown away by it. We didn’t realize how amazing it would be to hear it for the first time on our wedding day, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Everything was perfect!
