I cannot rave enough about how perfect our elopement was because of the ladies of Tie The Knot Santorini. 🤍 I live in the United States and I can’t imagine a smoother or more effortless wedding planning process than what we experienced with these amazing women. I communicated a lot with Miranta over prompt emails and she was very helpful in this process. I was able to meet Maria and Katerina in person and they are the sweetest people and truly have a calling for wedding planning. They were there for me every step of the way. From planning every detail of the decor, booking services, assisting with legal documentation, helping me with my dress, providing us reassurance, I cannot express the extent of our gratitude. Even after being married, Maria checked up on us with sweet messages. These ladies truly are the best wedding planners that a girl could ask for, thank you so much for the most memorable day! 🤍🤍🤍 -

My fiancé and I decided to elope to Santorini and we didn’t really know where to start. We searched for like elopement packages and almost went with one that would not have been to our liking. Thankfully we kept looking and that’s when we found tietheknot. I mean I couldn’t have a asked for a better duo (Maria and Miranta). They made everything so easy for us and they gave us enough recommendations that fit our budget and needs. The best part was officially meeting them pre-wedding and feeling like we knew them for forever and they really love what they do. It’s hard to put into words in a box how amazing they were. I love them and they made our ceremony one of the best days of our lives, seriously. Like stress wasn’t even a factor. If you need wedding planners, especially if you are eloping they are by far the ladies to go to or at least consider. -

Not enough words!
There are not enough words to describe our gratitude for the dreaming wedding 'Tie the knot' have planned for us.. Never expected to find a team equipped with such inspiration, organisation and care! It is so remarkable, they managed to plan a wedding so romantic and beautiful, reflecting our real personalities and our love. Exceptional teamwork, professional advice, and a great taste, composed the ideal wedding planning. Maria and Miranda gave us a calm, beautiful, dreaming day, and their presence became so important for us, as the presence of our families and loved ones! We treasure every single moment of the day. And we believe, Maria and Miranda should be really proud, being able to give such moments to so many couples! Their both lovely faces, will always remain in our memories and heart!

We got married on the magnificent island of Santorini and our wedding was the best thing that we have done and lived together. Everything was perfect and exactly as we imagined it. This would not have been possible without the valuable contribution of our wedding planners!
The Tie the knot team was initially recommended to us and we can only be grateful for having trusted Maria and her team on accomplishing the best organization ever!
They made our wedding sumptuous by guiding us through the choice of our wedding venue Rocabella, the picturesque church of Oia, the refined decoration, the amazing DJ Labros and accommodation options for our 70 plus guests!
On the day after the wedding, they also organized an unforgettable private boat party for our guests taking us around the island and to the hot springs offering us another view of the unique sunset of Santorini and a legendary party onboard!
We could have never imagined that our wedding would be so stress free. The team was by our side all day long and everything was well taken cared of.
The tie the know team is amazing and would always go the extra mile to satisfy even the most demanding clients and you can rest assured they succeeded admirably!
We are well aware of their efforts, ongoing support and attention to detail. We even met before the wedding during a short trip to Santorini in order to try the food, the drinks, meet with the suppliers and the team.
Their true commitment and professionalism is unrivaled! We will always remember our "crazy" last minute drive to the port with Miranta to show us the boat before it sailed away! Other than working hard on our wedding the team members were very genuine, kind and made us feel comfortable right from the get-go, We are very pleased to have met them!
A big thank you to Maria and Miranta for making our wedding and boat party the most beautiful days of our life.

Maria and Miranta are just the best people you can have to plan your wedding. I hired them to plan a small romantic wedding in Italy, while I live in the US. They are super flexible and can make as many decisions (or as little!) as you'd like. For me, they did all the research and presented me with their top recommendations, and I only had to make the most crucial decisions. They filled in all the gaps and thought of all the little details that I never would have!
We had a small wedding of 38 guests in September 2019 and it was just the most romantic day ever. My guests continually tell me how it was the best wedding they've been to: from the location, the venue, the attentive staff, the decor, and the whole flow of the weekend. I was never stressed the whole time and truly felt special on that day.
I would whole-heartedly recommend Tie the Knot Santorini for any couple wanting a tastefully-decorated, stress-free, and FUN wedding! -

Wow ! So over the moon with our wedding! The effort and clever co-ordinated team at Tie the Knot Santorini made my day one to remember !
It truly was something out of a magazine. The theme was EXACTLY what I had asked for. What I loved the most was that It was SO stress free, as Maria and her team had it all organised for me. They are honestly such a well oiled machine.
Living on the other side of the world (New Zealand) I truly didn’t think I could pull it off , but the teams communication and skilled it was just magnificent.
Thanks team for making my family and I so welcome on the day.

What can I say from the very first moment I contacted Tie the Knot I knew they were the ones. Maria and Miranta were so sweet, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. They stay in good contact, reply quickly too. I trusted them with my ideas and what I liked and when I saw my decoration I cried, it was better than I’d ever dreamt! They keep you updated during the day as well, during our shoot it was about to rain and they did amazingly to keep our decorations looking perfect. We decided on a destination Wedding in Santorini for a small group of our closest family members but didn’t want to do it blindly and decided to take a planning trip to Santorini in July of 2018. We reached out to a couple wedding planners to see if we could meet and these ladies didn’t hesitate to take some time out of their very very very busy schedule to meet with us and answer all of our questions.
They are very organized, extremely talented and know how to handle every component of wedding planning.
Miranta was absolutely amazing on the communication front. We exchanged 100s of emails throughout the planning process and absolutely everything was taken care of when we got to our big day. They went above and beyond with helping us book additional transportation, activities for the day after the wedding, and many more.
Maria is one of a kind. Her creativity has no limits and she can make any vision a reality.

The team worked sensitively to our budget and needs, and made smart recommendations on the areas that truly make the difference (versus those where the value of excess is questionable).

Maria and the Tietheknot team planned & organised a wedding far beyond anything we ever imagined! They were wonderful to deal with from the moment we got in contact with them. They were honest and upfront about what was a realistic budget and then ensured we did not go beyond that. Maria was so easy to deal with throughout the planning process.... she is so innovative in their ideas and made sure any ideas we had ourselves were incorporated & executed perfectly. All of the vendors that the team suggested (venue, photographer, hair & make-up, florist etc) were equally as facilitative and delivered impeccably. I totally believe that the venue were so flexible with our requirements purely because they are so happy to work with Maria and her team. Our wedding was just such a beautiful day. It was so relaxing to know that all of the logistics were being taken care of by the team and we really just had to enjoy ourselves and all of the beautiful moments Maria had created for us. -

My partner and I are from Australia currently living in London. When we decided that we wanted to elope/small wedding overseas I did alot of research on destinations and wedding planners. I couldn't stop going back to the Tie The Knot Santorini website!! It wasn't an easy task (organising a wedding in little over 6 months), Maria and Miranta were amazing every step of the way!! All of our corrospondance was done online and organised by them on the day so we were free to enjoy our wedding! We would definitely recommend Tie The Knot Santorini. Do yourself a favor and hire Tie the Knot Santorini! Maria and Miranta were INCREDIBLE to work with. We are from the US, and got married in Santorini and we couldn't imagine not having TTK in helping us plan our wedding day. Before the day they were communicative and we had no problems in going back and forth with design, details and what we wanted. They were so flexible in what we wanted, and making sure our day was all about us. They made all of our ideas and designs come to life (hello copper triangle arch!) while adding some really cool touches that we would have never talked about. We never knew we loved tablescapes so much until we saw what these talented ladies could do! In addition to the design, TTK was there for us the entire day making sure it went smooth with makeup, hair, food, photos, etc. There was a single thing that we had to worry about because they had it all covered!! They even helped coordinate a rehearsal "sail" the night before our wedding for our guests! On top of it all, Maria and Miranta have to be the sweetest and most personable people, which made working with them all that much sweeter. -

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!
I thought I was the most organised person I knew, until I met Maria. She's amazing. Not only did our wedding look spectacular because Maria is so creative and artistic, it also flowed perfectly. My husband and I could sit back and enjoy every second of our day, while Maria kept things on track.
All our guests had the time of their lives. Friends that married recently said that our wedding was the best that they have ever been to. Everyone keeps talking about how out of this world it was. I know everyone says it, but our wedding really was the best day of our lives.

Being from the states, I didn't have the slightest clue in regards to venues, vendors, etc. Maria provided all of that and much more. She is probably one of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting and I feel incredibly lucky that she was there to support me on one of the most important days of my life. From the very first Skype conversation a year prior to the wedding we knew these were the ladies we wanted planning our wedding. It can be stressful planning a wedding on the other side of the world and they made it so enjoyable and easy. Anyone looking to get married in Santorini should definitely use this company. Everything was perfect and they took all the stress out of the wedding day and made it easy to just enjoy it without worrying about ANYTHING. We had the best Santorini destination wedding ever and you can too with the help of Tie The Knot.

Kim Sent on 11/20/2017I still doubt if we've had a very nice movie-like dream or if we really had our wedding on Santorini for which no qualification exists. Fairy-like. Phenomenal. Magisterial. Unique. It does not cover the load. Just the enchanting location with the beautiful flowers in combination with the white chairs on the lava beach made everyone emotional. Our arrival by boat, the Greek wedding official, the music playing ... wow! Dinner felt like all our guests were one big family and nobody left the dance floor. What a party!
Working with Maria and her team went incredibly smooth, despite the fact that we live in the Netherlands. Maria is just the best in (wedding) styling and such an endearing personality! Not only was she able to bring my ideas to the next level, her execution was just beyond expectations. Maria works with the best of the best professionals on the island, that made choosing our vendors very easy. I am already looking for an excuse to work with Tie the Knot again and we've got married only 2 months ago! -

It's such a huge commitment to get married abroad plus you hear some horror stories of rogue wedding planners. I can honestly say the care, professionalism, attention to detail, kindness, patience, happiness, fun (I could go on) that this dream team brought to the table was magical. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend their services. If you want quality, care & utmost attention well don't look any further. We were blessed we found them & all the vendors they use are at the same standards. We are so grateful that we had the most amazing wedding on the most beautiful island. Aishah Sent on 06/13/2017After researching weddings in Santorini and stalking 'santoriniweddings' on Instagram, I knew instantaniously who I wanted to help me plan the perfect wedding. 'Tie the knot in Santorini's' weddings were picture perfect in every photograph I had ever seen. From the very first email, both Maria and Miranta were incredibly attentive, responsive and helpful- not to mention very friendly. After our first few email exchanges, we flew over to Santorini to view venues and met Miranta to discuss our plans, we had some complexities with our family but nothing was too much trouble.
Over 7 months of emails, we discussed food options, ceremony details, entertainment, photography, legalities and styling.
To make sure that they got the styling perfect, Maria asked me to complete a form and I described what I wanted in every aspect of the wedding and attach my Pinterest boards. In all honesty we did find that the decoration and flowers were quite expensive and way exceeded the cost it would have been in the UK, but this was out of Tietheknot's control. Maria worked with and respected our budget and did not push us beyond which we were extremely grateful for.
When the day finally arrived, both Maria and Miranta were there every step of the way, the only thing we needed to focus on was getting ready. Maria started the day early and didn't leave until after midnight. The day was completely stress-free, the styling was exactly how I imagined and more. Overall it was perfect.
I can not thank or recommend these ladies enough for making our day so special. Our guests complemented on how beautiful it was and the best wedding that they have ever been to and I definitely agree (although I am biased). I can wholeheartedly say that we could not of done it without them, theres just too much to think about- not to mention the complexities of the legal side.
We will certainly miss the lovely Maria and Miranta and I wish we could do it all over again! -

We booked Tie The Knot due to great reviews and a beautiful portfolio. However, we were very disappointed with the ethics of this company when handling couples dealing with weddings during the pandemic. From the emails we received, in my opinion, their main concern is about money and to continue to build their portfolio, not about the couple. It’s easy to get great reviews when nothing goes wrong, but it says a lot more, in my opinion, to see how a company handles things when something goes wrong. I urge you to read our experience below and please save yourself the headache (and money!) before booking with Tie The Knot during this pandemic.
My Fiancé and I booked an elopement in Greece with Tie The Knot about a week before COVID turned serious back in February 2020. We had no idea this was going to turn into a global pandemic.
In between that time and June 2020, planning was very slow as nobody knew what to expect when it came to travel. I was sent a standard (not customized to our requests at all) list of venues which I could have easily just looked up on Yelp or here on Wedding Wire. I was also sent a list of hair/makeup which the majority was very dated and I ended up having to do my own research and look for hair and makeup on Instagram. I also found our own photographers through Instagram and did all the booking with them myself. Because COVID was getting worse we didn’t want to book too much in terms of vendors, even though Tie The Knot was insistent that we book or “we may not get our date” for the venue.
Late May, early June rolled around (our wedding was booked for August) and we were still unable to travel due to COVID restrictions so we postponed our date and resigned a new contract with a new date. As COVID continued to get worse I received an email from Tie The Knot in July saying our second deposit was due, even though there was no additional work done, COVID restrictions had continued to worsen, and we postponed our date so a second payment shouldn’t have been due for another few months. After much fuss they “made an exception” (which they love to continue to bring up to us) to move our second payment date.
Fast forward to now, our government is still not allowing non-essential travel. My Fiancé and I have now already cancelled one wedding, and now postponed our elopement and unfortunately, there was no end date for our countries restrictions lifting. So after much discussion (and tears!), we decided it was best if we just cancelled our elopement all together.
As someone who works for a small business, I’m more than understanding of paying for a service. For example, our photographers requested a deposit which we did not ask for back because they set up a zoom call with us to understand our vision better and get to know us, they put together a beautiful booklet which they mailed us. They really personalized our experience and that should be compensated for. As for Tie The Knot, there was zero of that. Almost every email had something to do with money or deposits for vendors (which I’ve now been told that wedding planners get bonuses for booking specific vendors, surprise surprise).
Our deposit was $750CAD and I truly didn’t feel like we received anything with that deposit other than reserving the date. I stated this in an email to them when requested our deposit back and their response was a detailed list of what they thought they did.
They listed any interaction we had with them, again all had to do with requesting money and booking additional vendors during an uncertain time.
Throughout the email, they also continued to deflect the situation onto us. We were devastated to have to cancel our dream elopement but for the safety of not only us but THEIR TEAM as well, this just wasn’t going to be possible in 2020 or 2021. Tie The Knot continued to say things like “due to the couples uncertainty” or that they “made special exceptions”, sorry what? We didn’t have uncertainty there is GLOBAL PANDEMIC happening and our government isn’t allowing us to travel?! It was shocking to see the lack of concern they had about our safety or their teams with this pandemic in general. They ended it by saying they wouldn't give back our deposit but they wouldn’t charge us a cancellation fee… thanks?
All in all, please don’t let the photos fool you. Reference their great reviews once this pandemic has passed, but please, avoid this company if you’re booking an elopement in 2021.
