The Tidewater Inn was an amazing place to have our wedding. Melanie and the staff were incredible to work with from start to finish. The food was hot and delicious, the space was beautiful, and planning with them was easy the entire time. On the day of, they coordinated seamlessly with our vendors and truly left nothing for us to think about. So many guests said the weekend felt special — like a destination wedding, even though it was right here in Maryland. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

Booking the Tidewater Inn was truly the best decision we made for our wedding! We did so much research and went on many site tours, and as soon as we visited Tidewater we knew it was the venue for us. From our very first visit—where we met Lauren—to working with the incredible Melanie, and getting to know the entire Tidewater staff (plus having the most fun weekend with our parents at the group tasting), we felt completely at home every step of the way. Almost all of our vendor team were recommended by Tidewater (including the onsite salon, which was so convenient and fun!), and we truly felt like we had an all-star team supporting us.

We loved the history and elegance of Tidewater Inn and the many different spaces it offers. Our wedding day went off flawlessly, and so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. The flow from the Crystal ballroom to the picture-perfect courtyard, complete with fire pits, was absolutely dreamy and created such a cozy, magical atmosphere.

Easton itself is the most charming town and was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The convenience of Tidewater House and the incredible restaurants nearby made our entire weekend feel connected, relaxed, and like a true destination wedding experience. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate such a special moment in our lives and we cannot wait to celebrate anniversaries at Tidewater!

We toured a few venues around Easton and St. Michaels, but the moment we stepped into the Tidewater Inn, we knew this was the one. The historic charm, elegant atmosphere, and welcoming warmth perfectly captured who we are as a couple, and created the most beautiful setting to say “I do.”

We were married in the fall, which turned out to be the perfect season for an Eastern Shore celebration. The town was alive with autumn colors, and the Tidewater radiated that cozy, golden glow that made every moment feel timeless. Guests came from near and far, and more than one told us, “Easton feels like something out of Gilmore Girls.”

The space itself is stunning, but what truly made our wedding unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we and our guests interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. As my mom texted me after the weekend, “The Tidewater has made a guest for life out of me.”

As a bride and a corporate event planner, I know how many moving pieces go into a wedding or event, and working with Melanie and her team made it seamless. She was organized, responsive, flexible (especially when we had to move our date from June to October), and always calm under pressure. The coordination between the Tidewater team and our vendors felt effortless, everyone knew and respected each other, which made the day run like clockwork.

From the moment you walk through the doors to the moment you leave as a married couple; you’re in the very best hands at the Tidewater Inn. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends elevated elegance with true Eastern Shore charm, look no further. This is where your married story should begin.

Booking our wedding at the Tidewater Inn was the BEST decision we made in all our wedding planning. The entire building has so much charm and character, and is so well maintained, so clean, and just beautiful. The venue options for weddings (the ballrooms and courtyards) are so lovely — beautiful fireplaces & mantels, mirrors, crown molding, big windows, and elegant chandeliers. The food at our reception was exceptional! We received so many compliments on the meal and the cocktail hour food. Above all else, the Wedding & Events Team at Tidewater is beyond fantastic. They have such an experienced team — from day one, they were organized, professional, transparent, friendly, and always eager to help and answer questions. Our day went perfect! They coordinated all the decor set-up and tear down, all the vendor communications for the day-of (deliveries and set-up), and were available the entire time to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Look no further when planning a weekend long wedding. I did so much research prior to finding the Tidewater Inn. My requirements were very specific. A hotel with a nice ballroom (no carpet). One wedding a night. A large enough hotel to host a majority of guests. No night minimum for guests; reasonably priced rooms. Between Maryland and NJ. After receiving the proposals of a number of venues on the Jersey Shore, I was concerned I would not find a place that could accommodate all my must haves. When I found the Tidewater Inn, only an hour from our home in DC, I thought it was too good to be true. We went to a Saturday open house and were sold. Only had to visit one venue! The purchase of the Tidewater House in 2019 makes this venue an all-in-one wedding venue. We stayed at the Tidewater House Wednesday - Sunday. Hosted our rehearsal dinner in the Carriage House. Thursday Night Welcome Reception in the Courtyard. Ladies got ready in the Tidewater House. Ceremony in the courtyard, Cocktail Hour in the Tent, Reception in the Gold Ballroom, and Saturday Breakfast in the Crystal Room. Venue deposit included a rockstar team. I was able to plan the wedding without hiring a wedding coordinator or a day of coordinator-- everything went so smoothly. Melanie Bennett is such a professional. Her team is exceptional. Sara is amazing to work with on hotel rooms (we were constantly shifting people). Brandi ensured the day went off without a hitch. The Tidewater House innkeeper, Crystal, ensured our accommodations were clean all weekend long. Sarah at the TWH made sure I was well nourished for the day. You know when the tasting is for 150+ that the food you are tasting will be the same day-of. Everyone raved about the food. Crab cakes at the rehearsal were the 'best we've ever had.' Passed Champagne at the ceremony, passed signature cocktails during cocktail hour. Cold seafood display, tater tot bar. Amazing filet and Chesapeake rockfish topped with crab. Late night snacks! We were also able to work with a local bakery on small desserts in addition to our cake. Not to mention everyone loved the town of Easton. Best weekend of our lives. We are so grateful for the entire staff at the Tidewater Inn. Wish we could host a wedding every year. Alas, we will settle for visiting the staff that became friends!

To sum it up - amazing. Melanie and her team were a joy to work with and extremely professional and communicative throughout the entire process. We truly enjoyed the wedding tasting which helped us envision the look-and-feel for our wedding, and of course, the ability to taste the AMAZING food (more on that later). The details meeting leading up to the big day was very helpful; Melanie and team laid everything out so my wife and I knew everything from coordinating vendors to timeline were handled.

We went with the Tidewater Package so we had access to all spaces within the venue. The flow of the wedding was incredible and all of our guests were able to easily transition from ceremony -> cocktail hour -> reception by simply walking, including ramps for handicapped guests.

The Gold Ballroom was used for the reception and is beautiful; the herringbone pattern for the wood floors are extremely classy. Back to the food - all of our guests were raving about it. It is truly incredible the consistency and flavors the kitchen could promptly pump out for 170+ guests. My wife wasn't able to eat much during the reception, and without us knowing, they boxed her meal and placed it within the fridge in our room...so awesome.

Thank you to everyone at the Tidewater Inn who made our wedding so special! From the very beginning, Melanie made us feel welcomed and valued. Throughout the entire planning process, Melanie and her team were communicative and helpful. Day of, I felt like people were literally coming out of the woodwork to help make sure our day ran smoothly! An entire team assembled before our eyes and kept everything on schedule and perfect. Our guests could not have been more impressed by everything and it was amazing to host our friends and family for the entire weekend at such a beautiful location. Thank you everyone for making our dream wedding a reality!

The Tidewater Inn was the perfect place to host our wedding. Nested in the charming town of Easton, the Tidewater is warm and welcoming. Almost all of our guests booked local accommodations allowing us to make our wedding a weekend event rather than just an evening.

Watching all our friends and family arrive to Easton was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Hosting them at a local bar in town was extremely ideal as the town is extremely walkable and has many wonderful dining options.

The staff at the Tidewater Inn is also incredible. Melanie, Brandy, and Sara were all absolutely incredible to work with. They were extremely responsive to all my emails and questions and handled the wedding itself flawlessly. As a stressed, type-A bride working with them was an absolute dream. They also left champagne, cake, and our leftover dinner entrees in our room after the wedding which was highly appreciated.

Finally, the food at the Tidewater Inn is exceptional. We got so many compliments on our entrees. Some even said that it was the best wedding food that they had ever tried. The crab cakes in particular were a crowd-pleaser. Ultimately if you are looking for a classic, elegant venue with good food and a top-notch staff please choose the Tidewater Inn. It is worth every penny you will spend and you won't regret it.

There aren’t enough positive things to say about the Tidewater Inn.

We got married at the tidewater inn this past April. This venue has the perfect blend of charm, elegance, and convenience. Melanie Bennett and the staff here are absolutely outstanding. They made every step of the planning process easy and stress free. They’ll provide recommendations if you need them but will also work to make your unique visions become reality. Their day-of coordination has got to be unmatched by others in the industry. We did not have to worry about managing any of the vendors or their services as the Tidewater staff took care of it all. Our guest list was about 110 but I could easily see how the Tidewater could perfectly accommodate a wedding for any size.

The food is really incredible. We had more than two dozen guests tell us it was “the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding”. I personally can say their crab cakes are the best you’re gonna get on the Eastern shore and that’s saying a lot. So if you want to add that Maryland flavor, definitely put the crab cakes on your menu. If you want to impress your guests’ tastebuds, choose the Tidewater Inn.

I would highly recommend the Tidewater Inn for any couple that wants a wedding venue where your ceremony, reception and hotels are all in one, gorgeous, location. The rooms in the hotel are also really nice.

We had a perfect wedding day, for what I could tell was a fair price. There was nothing the Tidewater provided that I thought was overly expensive.

Our wedding was a dream come true, and I know that if you choose the Tidewater Inn, yours will be too.

Our wedding was unbelievable. The Tidewater knows exactly what they’re doing and made our day AMAZING. From the event coordinators, the food/chef, service staff, everything was perfect and everyone was so professional and helpful. I seriously couldn’t recommend them enough!!!

Our original wedding date was May 2020….and then Dec 2020, then May 2021, and finally happened on July 2, 2021! We were planning to get married in a venue in Mount Vernon, Baltimore since it was close to our home. However, after shifting the date out 3 times to July and that being cancelled (facing a move out to 2022), we started to wonder if we should look for another venue so we could hold the July 2 date. I started looking online and the logical choice was the Eastern Shore, where most venues were open with capacity limitations; for this reason I felt comfortable that my wedding wouldn’t get cancelled again after moving the location.

When looking online at a few different venues in the Saint Michaels/Easton areas, The Tidewater Inn stuck out to me. Located within a beautifully charming downtown area, The Tidewater Inn (TWI) has a open lobby with spiral staircase and huge fireplace, two different event rooms based on your capacity needs (both with large outdoor spaces attached) and a really cool restaurant/bar right off the lobby (Hunter’s Tavern). Priced VERY competitively as compared to other venues I looked at, this space was at the top of my list. I started to love the idea of all the guests staying on site together over the weekend, really making it feel like a celebration that lasted days versus just a few hours. The pricing also included a coordinator up to the wedding and on the day of, which was a huge plus for me when I hadn’t had that with the original venue. I went to see it in person, and met with Melanie, who I had spoken to over email as well. I got so excited driving around the downtown area and seeing the rooms in person. The smaller room (Crystal Ballroom) really spoke to me, because the outdoor area that comes with it is a beautiful courtyard garden with lots of real greenery, which I loved. The inside of that ballroom was also beautiful - dark wooden floors and gorgeous chandeliers, floor to ceiling doors/windows looking out to the dreamy courtyard. Having both indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and cocktail hour was also a huge plus for me, given that July weather in Maryland can be so variable. We moved forward with our new venue with excitement - for the first time in about a year we started to think this might actually happen!

From January to July, I spoke primarily with Melanie over email. My fiancé and I did go back to Easton in May for one night so he could see the venue and we could do our food tasting. The tasting was with Melanie, who is wonderful to chat with, and the food was outstanding. We had a great lunch tasting at Hunter’s Tavern in TWI, followed by an afternoon of exploring the town. At Melanie’s recommendation, we popped into Bonheur (ice cream, deserts, coffees), The Wardroom (Italian market bistro serving wine, beer, and sandwiches/small bites) and The Stewart (intimate scotch and champagne bar with light snacks and an NYC feel). We were joined that day by my fiancé’s younger brother and his fiancé, who live in NYC, and we all loved these places around town. For dinner, the four of us went to Scossa, which was where I was most likely going to hold our rehearsal dinner. We had a lovely evening there, and were able to peek into the back, private room that would be used for our event. The last stop for the day was Doc’s Downtown Grille, where we would likely have the afterparty. Everything I mention above, including TWI, is within a square block, so very convenient to walk between.

Our wedding weekend finally arrived, and Melanie was on site for set up starting in the morning. She worked with all the vendors who dropped items off or were needing to set up. I was upstairs with my ladies getting ready in the very spacious and convenient Chesapeake Room, located on the third floor of TWI and containing multiple high top tables, couches and chairs which was the perfect space for all 10 of us to hang out all day as we got our H/MU done. I peeked downstairs a few times throughout the morning/early afternoon and every time I did I could see Melanie had everything fully under control and was executing the set up exactly as I had wanted! I felt comfortable just relaxing back upstairs, without any concern or worry.

Brandy (another event coordinator at TWI) and Melanie were both present during the event itself, working together to make sure everything happened at the right times, and went smoothly. I worried about nothing and had a blast. The night flew by and to me, it felt like everything literally went perfectly! I would not change a single thing about our wedding night.

Brandy and Melanie were such a big part of everything going so well. Their efforts and kindness allowed me to step back from my typical role of managing things and really enjoy myself in the moment. The morning of, weather looked like it was going to behave so I made a call around noon to do the ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Everything was perfect and magical, and it was great that Melanie allowed me to take up to that point to decide! Another wonderful benefit was that many of our guests decided to stay a few extra nights to relax and enjoy the town. People were running into each other in Hunter’s Tavern for breakfast, and chatting in the hallways. We really got to see our loved ones so much with everyone staying at the Inn. Cannot recommend The Tidewater Inn enough - we had a wonderful experience with Melanie and Brandy and loved the space itself and the whole town!

Melanie and Brandy at the Tidewater are the absolute best! From beginning to end they made the entire planning process seamless. They are responsive, professional, and kind when you have so so many questions. The staff takes care of every piece of decor to create the most amazing wedding look. Melanie and her staff take care of every piece of the timeline, making the day run SO smoothly.
The venue is absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony in the courtyard filled with greenery and flowers that are already on location. The sail tent and ballrooms are elegant.
Waiting for us in our room at the end of the night was not only champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, but also my unfinished meal and our cupcakes that I did not get to try because I was with guests.
The food is amazing. Our guests were raving about the food and appetizers.
We had the time of our lives and our guests said they had never had so much fun at a wedding! I wish I could get married there every weekend!

I don't know if I can put all of the words I want to say about this venue into a short review, but I am going to do my best.

When I walked into this venue, I KNEW it was the one. I walked in wanting "secret garden" whimsical romance vibes and when I walked into the Crystal room with the large windows outlooking the garden, it hit me right in the feels. Truth be told, it was a little bit more than what we wanted to pay for a venue, but we only get married once, right? One of the beauties of this venue is all of the big stuff(food, alcohol) are included. We were a little hesitant about this as we hadn't eaten there, but they did a tasting just a short months after we booked and we LOVED every single thing we tasted. There was literally no way we could go wrong with picking our menu.

Insert COVID. I was a little worried...okay, more like a lot worried. I was watching friends cancel/postpone weddings, I was watching venues shut down and not be flexible, or just lack of communication between brides and venues was enough to give me second-hand PTSD. But at Tidewater? Everything was seamless. Another perk to the package, you get AMAZING wedding coordinators, Melanie, Brandy, and Sara. I never once felt worried about how COVID was going to affect my wedding, I never had to cut back my guest list(we just moved to the bigger ballroom-another perk to the venue having multiple event spaces), and really the only change we had to make was going from buffet to plated which worked out better for us.

When I walked into the garden and again the ballroom on my wedding day, I was halfway crying from tears of joy. The space had transformed into exactly what I envisioned, without me lifting a finger. The wedding coordinators really take the grunt of the work and everything worked out seamless. So many things happen behind the scenes and there was no stress on me to figure it out.

I could not have picked a more perfect venue and when they say "you get what you pay for" it is absolutely true. Sure you can DIY your wedding and find cheaper venues, but to me this experience was completely worth every penny we paid.

I could cry when writing this review for the Tidewater team - they were hands down, one of the best things about our wedding experience. All around, from Melanie and Brandy (wedding coordinators), to our bar staff and front desk, you couldn’t ask for a more thoughtful, genuine and lovely group to work with! Our guests have said the food served at the wedding was the best wedding food they've ever had - including our boardwalk fries and Philly cheesesteaks night snack! We couldn’t say thank you enough to each and everyone one that touched our day at the Tidewater. It was the most magical, elegant and romantic setting for us to have the best day of our life! If you’re considering this venue, do yourself a favor and at least tour and you’ll fall in love with it immediately!

Melanie and the team at the Tidewater Inn made my wedding planning (during COVID no less) such a breeze. They could not have been more accommodating to all of the changes we had to make last minute and Melanie was there for support every step of the way. The Tidewater Inn is such a stunning venue that has so much included and we couldn't be more happy with our decision to start our forever there! Can't wait to come back and visit for our anniversary.

Our wedding in December of 2020 was smaller in size than we originally planned due to Covid, but the team at the Tidewater Inn was incredible! We quickly pivoted to using the much more intimate spaces at the Tidewater House, and it was a perfect day. The ceremony was in the Carriage House (in front of the cozy fire!) and then we had cocktail hour between the Carriage House and the Tidewater House, and we finished the evening with dinner in the Parlor at the Tidewater House. It was candlelit and romantic and beautiful, and it made us feel great about having such a small wedding. Even better - we all got to stay in the House, so it was super convenient, and we felt like VIPs!

I cannot recommend the Tidewater Carriage House enough! We decided to do an intimate dinner in lieu of a large wedding and were so delighted with the offerings at the Carriage House. Sara was incredibly helpful with planning out all of the details and the day went perfectly smoothly. The food was wonderful (I still dream about the roasted pear butternut squash soup), the venue was beautiful and cozy and made our wedding celebration special. It was also very convenient to be able to get ready and then stay in the neighboring Tidewater House, which was stunning for photos!

If you are looking for a venue to accommodate a smaller scale celebration, I highly recommend the Carriage House!

My husband and I got married at the Tidewater Inn in October of 2020. We had the reception at the Inn, but our family rented out the Tidewater House. The House was one of the main reasons we choose this venue. It was so charming and nice that we could rent out each room and have the place to ourselves, with the amenities of staying at an Inn. Also the French Suite is the most beautiful and perfect bridal suite. On the property is the newly built Carriage House, where we had a lovely Rehearsal dinner and utilized the patio for a cocktail hour, and had dinner with tables set up inside and out. It was intimate and the perfect venue for a rehearsal dinner. On the big day the ladies in the wedding party got ready at the House as well. It was nice being in a different location from the boys (across the street at the Inn). We had a brunch delivered and the mimosas were flowing. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Also a big plus to staying at the house is we had the most beautiful backdrop for wedding day photographs in the gardens. I would give the Tidewater House a 10 out of 10!

The Tidewater House was a dream for our wedding weekend. We were actually the first wedding party to use the Tidewater House for a wedding. It was amazing and so fun to have my bridesmaids get ready there and have this huge suite and the downstairs area all for us. I had a personal butler the whole time for us and we had delicious food and drinks catered by the Tidewater Staff. I really felt like a queen the whole day. The rooms are beyond GORGEOUS! The pictures from the Tidewater house are so beautiful and I constantly get compliments on my wedding highlight video. The tidewater house really captured what I wanted for my wedding weekend. My husband and I stayed there the whole weekend and were able to unwind and relax. We were also able to reserve rooms in the house for our wedding party and/or guests. I cannot recommend The Tidewater House and their staff enough. I wish we could re-do this day every weekend. It was seriously a dream come true. I still keep in touch with the staff, they are like an extended family! I feel that really makes the experience just that much better.

My husband and I got married on 8/8/20 during Covid. We came to one of the Tidewater's open houses in June of 2019. We took a tour of the grounds and we knew immediately that this is where we wanted to hold our reception. We were looking for somewhere we could basically show up, celebrate, and then leave so that we could enjoy a stress free wedding day. Melanie and her team went above and beyond what we ever could have imagined. Prior to our wedding day, Melanie helped us make sure we had all of our vendors and all of the minor details worked out (even ones I didn't even realize). When Covid hit, we were unsure how our wedding day would look. Melanie helped us work through all of our worries and concerns! She was there to answer all of our questions, give us updated guidelines, and put our minds at ease about everything. Our wedding day was the most amazing day! All of the staff at the Tidewater were so professional, helpful, and NICE! They truly went above and beyond what we could have expected. Also, the food was amazing! Our guests could not stop talking about how great the food was (for our rehearsal dinner and reception). We are so thankful for everyone at the Tidewater for helping make our wedding day the best day ever!

Melanie and her team at the Tidewater Inn were amazing throughout the entire planning process! My husband and I got married during COVID and we felt so comfortable going forward with our event because of all of the modifications and clear plans that the whole team at the Tidewater had laid out. Everything was communicated to us ahead of time and she answered every single one of our questions!
The whole day was perfect and every thing turned out even better than we had planned! The food is amazing (especially the mashed potatoes), the venue is gorgeous, and everybody at the Tidewater went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was not only exactly what we wanted, but that all of the precautions were taken to make it safe during the pandemic!

My fiancé and I were looking for a full-service venue that felt like “us” and could accommodate our 130-person guest list. We originally wanted to narrow our search to Washington DC (where we live), but kept striking out. I had previously stayed at the Tidewater Inn with family, and on their suggestion we decided to check them out as a wedding venue. THE SEARCH WAS OVER. Melanie, Sara, Stephanie and the entire team are the consummate wedding professionals, and we were immediately sold on the beauty of the hotel as well as their amazing service. Seriously, they handled EVERYTHING and were so incredibly communicative throughout the entire planning process. Melanie was asking me questions I hadn’t even thought of yet; it made everything so incredibly easy when you had a team of folks behind you who do this almost every weekend. We loved being able to host all wedding related events at the Tidewater, as well as having our friends and family stay literally at the wedding venue. The food and wine were incredible, I’m still getting compliments and rave reviews from friends and family! The entire day went so smoothly, I didn’t have to do anything on the day of aside from get married and enjoy time with my new husband and all our loved ones - Melanie and co handled it all. You truly get the most amazing wedding experience at the Tidewater Inn. We can’t wait to come back to celebrate our anniversary!

The Tidewater Inn was hands down the first, easiest, and best decision we made during our wedding planning process. It is a gorgeous, charming, historic inn in the center of downtown Easton. I loved that the second our guests parked their cars - they could walk everywhere. No need for the hassle of buses and transportation that takes time away from the actual event! All of our guests stayed there, our ceremony was there, the cocktail hour, and the reception. We also had our rehearsal dinner at Scossa which is a 3 minute walk away, our welcome drinks were next door at Washington Street Pub and our after party next door to that at Doc's. The walkability made our guests feel like they could relax and really enjoy what a charming town Easton is. Now to the Tidewater specifically - Melanie is FABULOUS. She is so nice and so ON it when it came to everything about our wedding. The entire team is so professional and you can tell they really care about your wedding and also do a lot of them and know what they're doing. We had so many of our guests tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been too and their top highlights were how beautiful the venue was and how DELICIOUS the food and drinks were. You could literally cut the filet mignon with a spoon and the crabcakes on top were the best on the Eastern Shore. Not to mention my absolute favorite part of the entire process was the day they invite you to to taste all of their appetizers, dinners, desserts, and drinks. I honestly wish I could do that day all over again. Melanie was there when small emergencies happened day-of like the bustle of my dress breaking and was on it to help fix it right away! I would highly highly highly recommend the Tidewater Inn to any bride looking for the PERFECT Eastern Shore wedding that makes all logistics easy. Thank you guys so much for everything! We can't wait to come back for a fun weekend at the Tidewater!

Choosing the Tidewater was the best decision we made for our wedding. I can’t recommend the Tidewater enough! From our first visit to the Tidewater, I knew it was going to be a special place, but I could have never expected how perfect our wedding would turn out- all thanks to the Tidewater staff. Melanie, the wedding coordinator, is hands down AMAZING. She was incredibly quick at responding to emails, was so helpful at walking us through every detail of the day to make it exactly as we wanted it and helped us organize everything and everyone. Sara was also incredible. She handled last minute issues like a pro (like how the guys suddenly needed 20 burgers for lunch on our wedding day) and always made us feel like a priority. Brandy was so helpful with creating our seating chart and envisioning our wedding layout. She was so accommodating to our guests who had certain food allergies and wanted to make sure they enjoyed their meals. On our wedding day, each member of the wedding team worked so hard to make sure everything went incredibly smooth and according to plan. They worked behind the scenes to clean up the entire event, bring our cards to our room, and box up all our decorations and flowers. As I look back at wedding pictures, I realize that they even repurposed some of our decorations from the cocktail hour space to the reception space. It goes to show how many little details they took care of that I never noticed or thought about. They made sure the flowers showed up, the cupcakes were delivered and the band was set up as they needed to be. Each member of the wedding team was flat out UNBELIEVABLE! Even down to the bell hops and the kitchen staff, every worker was so kind and did everything they could to make us feel special. Even more than the staff, our guests raved about the food and said the food was “the best wedding food they’ve ever had!”
One of our favorite aspects of having our wedding at the Tidewater was that almost everyone was able to stay in the hotel. No need to coordinate buses to get everyone around town, everything you need is right there!

My husband and I recently got married at this venue. Prior to booking we had stayed in the hotel and had eaten at their amazing restaurant a year prior. Not only did this venue exceed all of our expectations, but Melanie is the absolute BEST wedding coordinator and a wonderful person. She made the process extremely simplified and assisted at all levels. She was extremely easy to get in contact with and had prompt responses. If you decide to get married at this venue, make sure to go to the huge tasting day event that is filled with lovely food & drinks. The staff at Tidewater Inn are all very sweet and accommodating- from checking in, dropping off decor, answering all my questions, and fulfilling my rehearsal & wedding day needs. My husband and I had SEVERAL amazing comments about the yummy food & gorgeous historic venue from our guests. We had the BEST experience at the Tidewater Inn. Not only is it a beautiful venue, and lovely accommodations, the staff was always exceptional and created a memorable experience. During the planning process we were guided every step of the way by Melanie. She helped us figure out what was best for our small intimate wedding. She even offered us last minute a change in rooms that even better accommodated our vision for the day! The hotel did all our catering for the rehearsal dinner and wedding and all our guests kept raving about how great it all was. We were so pleased with every part of our experience! Even being a small wedding we felt like we were the most important group at the hotel.

My husband and I really could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than the Tidewater Inn. From the very first moment we walked into the lobby we were overcome with a sense of intimacy and romance that we were searching for to harbor our winter wedding. We were also extremely lucky to be able to benefit from the recent renovations of the Crystal Room and main lobby. Every staff member from the front desk, house keeping and obviously, event planning (Melanie and Brandy), were beyond professional and a delight to work with. Oh! and the food was delectable! Each appetizer, entree and dessert were made with precision and you could taste the love from the chef! When deciding where to have our wedding, we looked at so many aspects...food, location, hotels, cost, etc. and truly every aspect of what we were looking for we found at the Tidewater Inn. The staff was so helpful during every phase of the process, from choosing the menu items, to even helping us find other vendors, and making sure our guests were able to get into the Inn for that specific weekend. We truly felt like we were the only couple getting married there with how attentive to detail the staff was throughout the entire planning process. Melanie, our coordinator, always checked in on us to see how things were going and was so timely in her responses which was very reassuring. We would recommend The Tidewater to anyone who wants an easy wedding planning process from start to finish, including amazing food!!

My experience with my wedding at Tidewater was amazing. It wasn't stressful at all because everything was in one place and the staff was very helpful and kind.

If you are considering booking the Tidewater Inn as your venue, just do it! The team there is fantastic - the food was delicious (and hot!), the service was five-star (several guests commented how friendly the servers were)... the entire event was flawless! The planning process with Melanie, Brandy, Stephanie and Sara was simple, straight forward, and they work so well together to answer your questions quickly and fully.

It was so nice to have the majority of our guests in one hotel, and they made the booking process easy! We loved the tented courtyard where our cocktail hour was held (you may here the exhaust fans of the kitchen) but it wasn't even noticeable the evening of. Our wedding was early November, the fireplaces were going but we didn't need the propane heaters they had out, just in case. It rained but there is plenty of cover that it didn't matter one bit.

With our contract, we made a few modifications to the bar to include some of our favorites. The bartenders were spectacular, and again, provided excellent customer service. We had noted the tables where food allergies were present and the team delivered shellfish-free food so everyone was without worry!

The space was magically set up (by Melanie and her awesome team) so that when my husband and I arrived, we were so surprised and happy at how beautiful everything looked. We had about 110 guests in the gold ballroom, and while I had previously felt like it might be slightly too much room for us, it was set up so that it felt just right.

We had arranged for close family friends to take our gifts for us, but the team had that covered as well, so when my husband and I made it back to our hotel room, everything was laid out nicely on a table, with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries too!

The Tidewater is the perfect place for a classy and timeless reception with excellent service at a fair price. From start to finish, the team was phenomenal. The team clearly wants you to enjoy your wedding, and makes it so easy to do so with delicious food, excellent service, and a stunning venue.

We had so much fun and owe a lot of our happy memories of our wedding to The Tidewater!

(The town of Easton is also perfect for out of town guests - enough exploring for a weekend getaway, but keeps everyone close enough to make it easy to see guests both before and after your wedding!)

I will forever be thrilled and grateful that my husband and I chose the Tidewater Inn for our wedding. From the initial tour to the morning after our wedding, everything was perfect. Melanie, Sara and Stephanie are responsive to every email and question, encourage you to personalize your wedding and be creative, accommodating to any special needs that may arise, and are genuinely happy and excited to be a part of your day. As just one small example, we got married in July and expected ridiculous heat and humidity, but we ended up with an autumn-like day. Four hours before our ceremony, the staff encouraged us to move our ceremony outside to their courtyard and take advantage of the beautiful day and scenery. We did and we couldn't be happier they suggested we switch it up. Not only is their team amazing, but every staff member at the Tidewater Inn made us feel like we were at home that weekend. We did not want to leave! Staff and service aside - the hotel and its venues are gorgeous and make the whole event feel easy but special. The food was the best wedding food we've ever had, and our guests all said the same. There is a salon in the hotel which makes it easy for the bridal party to get ready on-site and have a relaxing day. Throw in the perfect downtown Easton location, where you and all your guests can walk everywhere, to rehearsal dinner to after party to brunch, it was truly the most fun and relaxing weekend ever. If you are searching for a classy but fun Eastern Shore venue, Tidewater Inn is your perfect spot!!!

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Tidewater! The whole team was great in helping us plan out the details, and the the day was perfect. I grew up in Maryland, and wanted to get married in my home town, but we currently live in Minneapolis, MN. They made it a breeze to plan everything from afar. The food was amazing too- we still have guests complimenting how incredibly tender the filet was and how good the crab cake was compared to others they've had. Overall it was a beautiful venue, with great food, and staff. We definitely recommend as a top wedding location in Maryland!

The best decision my husband and I made was selecting the Tidewater as our wedding venue. Ever since we selected the Tidewater, we have truly been taken care of. Melanie and her team at the Tidewater truly bend over backwards to ensure that your day is everything you imagined. They are more than willing to accommodate all of your requests. Melanie and her team are easy to work with, helped us select vendors, and are very quick to respond to all of your wishes! They even helped to put out all of our decorations and then made sure all of the decorations were boxed up at the end of the night! Prior to and during our wedding, we did not have a worry in the world because the Tidewater knew exactly how to organize the wedding of your dreams. They are professionals at orchestrating the perfect wedding. Truly looking back on my wedding, there is not a single thing I would change. Working with the Tidewater was seamless in every way. Not only is the wedding coordinator team absolutely phenomenal, but the venue itself is breathtaking. All of our guests are still talking about how beautiful the Tidewater is. The guests enjoyed walking around downtown Easton and enjoying some local favorites! In conjunction, the Tidewater was able to accommodate all of our guests so it was so special that all of our guests could stay at the Tidewater. I also want to note that the staff at the Tidewater is the best I have ever seen at a wedding venue. They are professionals; they are efficient, friendly, and willing to do anything to make your day perfect. We had 185 guests and all of our guests received their food quickly and are still raving about how delicious the food was! Words cannot express how perfect this venue is. We will be recommending the Tidewater to all of our friends and family. We cannot wait to go back and visit very soon!

We had an amazing experience having our wedding at the Tidewater Inn on St. Patrick's Day 2018! Melanie and crew were a dream to work with and everything was absolutely wonderful. We live in DC and I am from the Eastern Shore, and all of our guests were traveling in from somewhere. The Tidewater Inn was the perfect setting for us - a flavor of home that was very convenient for our DC and other out-of-town guests, as it is still pretty close to DC and Baltimore and both airports. Both the wedding itself and the rooms were very affordable - we basically booked the entire hotel - especially compared to venues in DC. Our families and friends loved the whole weekend, the food was amazing (!!!), Melanie and crew were able to accommodate all of our wishes (including the beers on tap, very important to the groom), and the logistics could not have been easier. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they've been to, and several have even returned! The Tidewater Inn will always hold a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to return time and again.

6 months later and I am SO incredibly pleased that we choose the Tidewater Inn as our wedding venue. From start to finish Melanie and her team were extremely professional, caring, kind, and responsive. They were incredibly flexible with every ask and truly made our dreams come to life. The service at the Tidewater is top notch, and that showed leading up to and throughout our wedding weekend. They made everything so easy and convenient for us, and all our guests commented on that as well. Plus - the food that was served was out of this world! We had so many people come up to us and tell us that the food, service, and flow of the wedding was just perfect- and that's exactly what we wanted. They made us feel like the Tidewater was home for our friends and family that weekend. I truly could not recommend the Tidewater enough!

The Tidewater Inn was the venue of our dreams. Melanie was our coordinator and was so beyond all of our expectations. She was detailed, organized, engaged, and overall just the perfect coordinator for our special day. I didn’t have an ounce of worries our wedding day because I knew she and all other Tidewater staff would take care of things. The entire wedding day went so smooth, she knew when/where things should be (I.e I had no clue where my bouquet would be but she came to my hotel room right on time with bouquet in hand!). We wanted a group shot of us with all guests (definitely recommend this future brides!!) and the staff at Tidewater moved so quick without any doubts and gave us a ladder and perfect spot to take our group pic (outside garden of the Crystal Room). I felt so at peace and cared for by all of the staff members. Those who served us dinner were kind, patient, and so sweet as well. Since myself and my husband were walking around talking to people the servers waited and communicated effectively with us asking when we’d like our dinner rather than just leaving our food on the table left to get cold like other wedding venues have done to brides and grooms. We sent about three day of timelines to Melanie due to revisions / change of plans for our day and Melanie went with the flow and exceeded our expectations. The entire day went without a hitch and it was all because The Tidewater Inn staff! We both definitely felt so special and valued on our big day, and would 100000% recommend The Tidewater Inn as your venue!!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at The Tidewater Inn on 11/16/18. From the very beginning Melanie answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease. Our wedding went smooth and exceeded our expectations! We are still hearing reviews from our guest about the food- they loved the mini crab balls, filet, and lamb lollipops best! Our wedding was the best ever and it was thanks to Melanie and her team at The Tidewater!

Every single aspect of arranging a wedding at the Tidewater was fantastic. Since my wedding my parents have been pushing for all of my siblings (and anyone else they know) to get married at the there too. Melanie and the whole staff were absolutely fantastic and over-the-top helpful through the whole process. They were there to answer questions, provide recommendations, etc. Also, The food is incredible. We went with the chicken and dumplings for dinner and we are still having guest comment on how good it was. Overall, we can not speak highly enough about our whole experience at the Tidewater, and we can’t wait to go back!!

This venue is absolutely stunning and when it rained and we had to do our ceremony indoors here, Tidewater was so accommodating last minute. They thought of everything, including boxing up desserts in our fridge for us to snack on later since we were having too much fun to eat! They were so attentive and cared about every little detail like a special drink for my grandmother and serving my 2 year old flower girl her meal on Disney Frozen plates. The crabcakes were so good (jumbo lump, hardly any filler and great portion) that it's actually annoying because my guests will not stop raving about them. The only thing better than the food at our wedding was Sara, the most amazing wedding goddess. Throughout every step of the way (and I mean every step- I emailed her at all times and all days leading up to the wedding), Sara responded timely and professionally. Sara and Brandy were my wedding fairy godmothers. Brandy was the most calming, patient coordinator to have the day of the wedding. The staff all around was so attentive even letting us know about the back roads to take and making sure our guests had parking despite the filming they were doing at the hotel (Tidewater is so pretty that they were filming part of an Amazon series there the weekend of my wedding). Do you want a wedding that has the best food, most attentive, experienced staff, and is beautifully renovated? Look no further!

WOW – we cannot say enough about our wedding experience at The Tidewater Inn and their amazing staff. We wanted a venue where all of our guests could stay together for an entire weekend and feel comfortable. When we first entered The Tidewater Inn, we truly felt like we were in a large, historic, beautiful home.

Melanie, Sarah and Brandi could not have made our wedding weekend easier. They work seamlessly as an events team and made sure we were able to enjoy every minute of our weekend. The entire Tidewater staff made all of our guests feel more like family than like clients.

The event spaces are each distinct and beautiful in their own way. We were lucky enough to utilize every space throughout the weekend and our guests were able to enjoy everything this amazing place has to offer.

The last song played at our wedding was “This Must Be the Place” by the Talking Heads – and the Tidewater really is! We could not have been more comfortable or happier with our experience – we can’t wait to continue to go back to visit for many years to come.

There are no words to describe how perfect the Tidewater is for a wedding! Between the service, venue, food and charming downtown of Easton - you can't go wrong! The one thing that my husband and I REALLY appreciated is the attentiveness of Melanie, Sara and Brandy. Throughout the planning process they were there to answer any and every ridiculous question we had. The day/night of, they took care of absolutely everything, even refilling my husband's drink when he wasn't looking! Another amazing feature? The food! My guests are still raving about the crab cakes and filet. It's safe to say that we were able to have the wedding of our dreams thanks to the Tidewater!

Tidewater Inn is an absolutely incredible venue! Not only is it beautiful, has amazing food, and nestled in an adorable town, but it comes with three wonderful coordinators that go above and beyond throughout your whole planning process. I can not say enough good things about Melanie, Brandy and Sarah! They are knowledgeable, flexible, responsive, easy to work with, and go out of their way to make you feel so special on your wedding day! If there were any glitches in our wedding day, we did not know about them because this venue took care of everything. My only suggestion to those who decide to go with this venue, tell your guests to book their hotel rooms RIGHT AWAY! A lot of people get married in Easton and St. Michaels and it can make it very difficult to find accommodations for your guests.

I cannot give a more esteem recommendation for The Tidewater Inn. We got married on a Friday in September and had our ceremony in the Garden Courtyard, cocktail hour in the Gold Ballroom Garden (the indoor-outdoor space under a sail cloth tent), and reception in the Gold Ballroom - and it truly was an actual DREAM.

The property itself is extremely well maintained - the hotel rooms are clean and updated following a recent renovation, the grounds have a ton of gorgeous greenery making it perfect for outdoor pictures, and the event spaces has a number of touches that add a ton of character to the overall look.

Melanie, Sara and Brandy did an UNBELIEVABLE job. They were incredibly organized during every step of the planning process and on our actual wedding day. They were clear and pleasant when directing the bridal party from location to location, allowing us to stay perfectly on schedule without making us feel rushed at any time. They also did a fantastic job setting up the room and making it look absolutely beautiful - we provided an overwhelming amount of decor for them to put on display, and they ensured that everything looked gorgeous in the end.

On top of that, the food was FANTASTIC. We had dozens of guests approach us during both the cocktail hour and dinner ranting and raving about how unbelievable the food was. The food was obviously delicious at our tasting, but we had no clue that it would be equally as amazing with the chef making those same selections for over 170 of our guests.

Both the bar and dinner staff were also excellent. We had so many guests share how fantastic the service was, which can truly make or break a guest experience.

Overall, the TWI was the perfect venue for our wedding day, and the staff made it an exceptional experience for us, along with all of our guests.

We have selected Tidewater as our rehearsal dinner location for our wedding next September. Almost everyone is coming in from out of town, and there are not a ton of places in Easton/St Michaels that can accommodate a large group. Tidewater Inn has several options for larger groups, and I'm so thrilled they do! The team there has been very helpful with providing information on venue, pricing, and menu options, and they have responded promptly to all of my detailed questions. They have great indoor/outdoor space combos, and you can also secure room blocks as part of booking a rehearsal dinner there. So far the team has been very easy to work with!

This venue is absolutely fantastic!!!!! Have your wedding here!!!!!

Hotel: This hotel has a lovely historic charm and has a fantastic space for your ceremony (rain or shine!), cocktail hour, and reception! The bridal suite is newly renovated and was so luxurious! They have a great space for the bridal party to get ready in, and they even have a spot for the groom/groomsmen to get ready in! The town of Easton is so quaint and was a perfect setting for an amazing wedding weekend!

Staff: Melanie, the wedding coordinator at the Tidewater, went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect! She was very responsive during the planning process and I could not have asked for a better person to work with! During the weekend of our wedding, the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We checked in for the wedding and they took care of the rest! After our reception, they organized all of our gifts and cards and put them in our bridal suite. They boxed up everything we rented from our florist and made sure it got back to her. They even repurposed our flowers from our reception for our brunch the next day! This is something you do not think about while planning, but it makes all the difference in the world!

Food: Delicious!!!!! They host a tasting for you to come and try their entire menu, so you can really pick exactly what you want! We served crab cakes and we received numerous compliments from our guests saying it was the best crab cake they have ever had!

Loved the Tidewater Inn for my July 30, 2016 wedding! Melanie and Brandy were great to work with and made everything easy. They helped me plan my Maryland wedding from Denver, CO with my fiance living in North Carolina and my family living in Indiana. The space was beautiful - charming and elegant. The food was exceptional - we had maryland crab cakes and filet with crab stuffed shrimp for our entrees and everyone raved about them. I actually had a different meal for my dinner as I'm a vegetarian - they offered to make me anything that I wanted. Wouldn't change a thing! It was a beautiful day that went off without a hitch!

I was just recently married at the Tidewater Inn and can't express fully in words how amazing everything was!!! IT IS THE BEST. HANDS DOWN! I first checked out the Tidewater after I got engaged about a year and a half ago, and from first walk through I was in love! It was the only venue I looked at. Throughout the planning process Melanie, Sarah, Brandy and any staff member I encountered were professional, responsive and extremely helpful! Come wedding day everything ran perfectly!!! The food was amazing, we got so many compliments on the venue itself, and I couldn't have asked for a better night!! The town is super cute and everything is in walking distance. We were able to walk to the bars after our rehearsal dinner and wedding which was so convenient for all of our guest and so much fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you Melanie, Brandy and everyone who made our wedding weekend the BEST weekend of our lives!!! I highly recommend the Tidewater to any future brides!!

Loved having my wedding at the Tidewater. Melanie, Brandy and staff are truly amazing to work with. Since the day I signed the contract with the Tidewater the staff was available to answer questions, setup calls and provide suggestions. The day of my wedding, Melanie and Brandy were extremely hands on with the setup and directing vendors on where to go. I had such a delightful experience at the Tidewater I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a full package of a wedding venue.

My husband and I got married this past summer at The Tidewater Inn. We were able to have our ceremony outside in the courtyard and our reception in the Crystal Ballroom. As we were planning for our wedding, Melanie, the coordinator at The Tidewater Inn, was great. She was extremely organized and helped us with all aspects of the process. For our wedding weekend, Brandy and Sara were amazing. They went above and beyond! They were both calm and professional. We were so impressed with their organization and appreciated their kindness. They made sure everything looked the way we hoped and made sure everything was in the right place. We can't thank Brandy and Sara enough for all of their hard work. The Tidewater Inn was a wonderful place for our wedding and we would highly recommend it to others.

Everything about this venue fit the exact atmosphere we wanted for our wedding: courtyard wedding, ballroom reception and a quaint place where our guests could sleep. We had 170 guests, most from out of town who all like to have fun. The town of Easton was perfect with The Tidewater Inn as our hub. Everyone could walk from place to place and enjoy the nightlife (amazingly entertaining for such a small charming town). From start to finish the wedding coordinators, especially Melanie whom I dealt most with, were very responsive. We even requested a milkshake bar; something they hadn't done before; and they were able to pull it off flawlessly! They helped put the finishing touches on setting up and even climbed ladders to help hang the lanterns! The ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception went so smoothly and everyone is still raving about the delicious food! We all had a blast, remember the weekend fondly and wouldn't change a thing.

The Tidewater Inn was a beyond perfect venue for our wedding!! We had our rehearsal dinner there as well and everything was amazing. The food, service, and Inn itself are all top notch. After looking at 10+ venues on the Eastern Shore of Md, my husband and I fell in love with the Tidewater Inn and the quaint town of Easton. We had been looking for a place where our family and friends could spend the weekend together to extend the wedding fun and celebrations. The historic inn is beautiful and within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and things to do. We also really liked how everything for our wedding could be held in one place. We had our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception right there at the hotel. A majority of our guests stayed at the hotel so no one had to worry about driving. We even had seperate rooms at the hotel for the bridal party to get ready in and were able to have the hair/make up girls come to us. Everything was so convenient. Melanie, the wedding coordinator at the Tidewater, and her team were fantastic! Melanie provided great recommendations and was very helpful. She was patient and understanding with our requests and concerns. She answered all our questions and emails quickly. She is very professional and great at her job. Even when it started pouring and we had to switch the ceremony location last minute, Melanie and her team ensured that everything went smoothly. Not to mention, the dinner was amazing! We had so many guests tell us the food was the best that they had ever had at a wedding before!

I cannot say enough good things about the Tidewater Inn. I am so happy that I had my wedding there. Melanie and her staff are so helpful and really help the bride and groom have a stress free wedding! The food there is AMAZING! Everyone at my wedding kept saying that the food was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The atmosphere of the Tidewater is absolutely perfect for a wedding. The location of the Tidewater is what really drew me to this venue because there are so many beautiful and creative spots in and outside of the building for pictures. It was great having many of our guests stay at the wedding location as well! I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding, and that was definitely thanks to the amazing venue and wedding team at the Tidewater!

Melanie and her staff at the Tidewater Inn could not have been more helpful, more professional, or more kind. From our first visit to the Tidewater Inn, we were instantly charmed by the building itself, the outstanding food at Hunter's Tavern, and the hotel staff. Throughout the planning process, Melanie accommodated all of our ideas and helped us to create a perfect wedding day. On the day of our wedding, she was patient with all of our family members and their...particular needs. We felt so completely relaxed knowing that the Tidewater staff were in control, and the day could not have gone better. The food was outstanding, from the passed hor d'oeuvres to the shrimp and grits station (!) to the perfectly cooked filet mignon and baked rockfish entrées. The Tidewater Inn was quick to solve any issues that our guests had while staying there - this included borrowing a crib from a nearby hotel so that our niece had a place to sleep. We cannot rate the Tidewater Inn highly enough.

I honestly can not say enough good things about the Tidewater Inn. It is the IDEAL wedding venue. Melanie, the wedding coordinator is simply wonderful - responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, easy-going, and fun. She made everything run so smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a single thing the entire weekend. The hotel is beautiful. They have great spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The hotel staff were always responsive and willing to help. The staff during the wedding were amazing. Always there when you needed them. And the food. OH THE FOOD WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! We had stations for dinner, and my guests are raving about how good all of the food was. Our wedding day was perfect, and most of that is due to the amazing Tidewater Inn. I can't recommend it enough!

I just had my wedding at the Tidewater Inn last month and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the venue and the wonderful service we received from Melanie and her staff. I don't know why everyone doesn't get married there! My fiance and I absolutely fell in love with it as soon as we saw it - it's just beautiful and the town of Easton is lovely. We wanted a "local destination" type of wedding, where it would feel like a mini vacation for our guests, and that's exactly what we got. We had the rehearsal dinner there, the reception, and almost all of our guests stayed there. Things could not have gone more smoothly, from the early stages of planning through the last day of the wedding weekend - Melanie, Lauren, Sarah, and the rest of the staff there are just wonderful (I can't tell you how many of our guests commented on the wonderful level of service they received). Wedding planning was not my favorite thing! But Melanie made it as pain-free as possible for me. She always seems to maintain a cool and calm demeanor, which is super helpful, especially the day of. Lastly, the food was tremendous. I never rave about wedding food (so hard to get it right for so many people), but they nailed it for the rehearsal dinner and the reception. Like I said before, I don't know why everyone doesn't get married at the Tidewater :)

Thank you to the wonderful team at the Tidewater for helping us plan the wedding of our dreams! Lauren, Melanie, Sarah, and the banquet manager, Greg, are so incredibly good at what they do. The only part of our wedding that I didn't worry about was the reception running smoothly, and that is because the Tidewater's team are true professionals.

Lauren, Melanie, Sarah and Samantha were all so helpful in answering my endless number of questions during the wedding planning process. From arranging and rearranging the table setups, to suggesting vendors, and helping us select a menu-- they were always so friendly and easy to work with. The day of the event, they made sure everything went according to plan. They even handled the one hiccup we had with transportation, which was a huge relief for a high stress bride like me.

To this day, three months later, all of our guests still rave about the food. We had raw oysters, lobster mac, and some passed appetizers at the cocktail hour, and the stuffed prawn with filet for the seated dinner. The staff at the Tidewater were sweet enough to make sure we had some food in a private room for the wedding party after the ceremony, and they even brought in dinner for me and my husband so we could eat privately before the reception.

We could not have had a better experience with the Tidewater and can not thank them enough for such an incredible night.

Tidewater Inn made our wedding day perfect. Melanie, the events coordinator there, is fantastic. We were worried this place was out of our budget, but she found creative ways to give us everything we wanted without breaking the bank. She's meticulous and flexible and one of the sweetest people you'll work with throughout the wedding-planning process.

When the big day finally came, we couldn't get over how attentive and accommodating the entire staff was. For example, one staff member noticed me standing awkwardly with the marriage license, not knowing where to put it, and immediately asked if she could take it up to the room.

Another: I asked Melanie if she could have someone bring a tray of food (specifically the food we chose for the wedding) up to our room soon after the ceremony started so that we could sneak up there for about 15 minutes and eat before making our reception entrance. We went up there to find an enormous tray full of food—even more than we could eat. It's little details like these that helped make this venue great.

Onto the big details: The place is gorgeous. We had our October ceremony in the Gold Ballroom Garden, which we called "the tent." It's this stunning semi-outdoor area shaped like the most beautiful round tent you've ever seen, with a couple of fireplaces built into the inside walls. It's completely covered but looks open at the top, thanks to a beautiful sail-cloth-style roof.

We had our reception in the Gold Ballroom, which provided the perfect space for our estimated 175 guests. Tidewater does it all: food (phenomenal, by the way—the fried oysters are a must), alcohol, linens, china, bridal suite, day-of wedding coordinator (Melanie).

The fact that it was also an inn was a big plus. Our guests were thrilled that everything—ceremony, reception, hotel—was all at the same place.

It was the perfect wedding, and we couldn't have chosen a better venue. You can't go wrong planning your event here.

Just a quick story..we just recently were married at the Tidewater. I got engaged on April 6th 2014. Along with all the happiness and excitement, there was a bit of anxiety, and not about the dress. My Mother was diagnosed with terminal Cancer in January and was give 6 months or less to live. I knew she was a fighter and would prove their timeline wrong but not sure by how long. We found Tidewater through a friend, it was the first place we looked at and we were sold! We live in Baltimore. My husbands family is on Cape Cod so we fell in love with the Tidewater and the town of Easton. I thought that planning a wedding in such a short amount of time was going to be next to impossible and we would have to sacrifice quality. Melanie at Tidewater was beyond wonderful! She knew just how important it was for us the have my Mother there. We could not have had a more perfect day! I didn't have a thing to worry about. They were on top of things that I didn't know they needed to be on top of. The property is so peaceful. The food, and staff were amazing. My mother looked beyond beautiful and had the time of her life. She recently passed and we are so happy to have such heartfelt memories of her at my wedding. OK, I am now rambling. Bottom line, The Tidewater Inn is Aaaaaaamazing!

We had a fantastic experience and both Lauren and Melanie, as well as all the other staff, at the Tidewater! The entire day went off perfectly, even with our last minute changes, and it was not stressful at all.

Everything was perfect and they did almost all of the work for us, which really helped keep the last-minute stress low. Everyone in both of our families commented on what a beautiful and seamless wedding we had, and we owe most of that to Lauren and Melanie.

The Tidewater Inn is a fabulous venue for weddings. It is elegant, yet comfortable. There are many perks to having a wedding there, including having the services of a wedding coordinator.

EVERYTHING about the Tidewater was fantastic!! The services available, the assistance of everyone, the friendly staff, the quality of the event...literally everything was amazing! I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful venue for our wedding, and am still so pleased with everything...we are still getting compliments on the event!!

My daughter's wedding at the Tidewater Inn was picture perfect. The food was delicious and so plentiful - no one went hungry! But the most remarkable aspect of the Tidewater experience to me was the service provided by Melanie and the wedding team. They were the friendliest, most helpful people to work with. Their advice was always spot on. What I loved the most was that Melanie handled all the wedding day logistics, making sure everything went off without a hitch. I also loved that at the end of the evening, I did not have to gather up our personal decorations. We just had our wedding this past weekend at the Tidewater Inn and everything was perfect! There were a lot of wedding parties there over the past weekend, but the staff was extremely responsive and friendly. The venue has a great garden for your ceremony and two ballrooms to choose from. We found the prices to be extremely reasonable in the DC area. The best part about this venue is Melanie, their wedding coordinator, she knows exactly what she is doing and was such a great asset! It's also a great venue if you are looking for an "all in one" location since there is a restaurant and bar on-site as well.

Finally, the local area adds to the special charm of this place, we had multiple dinners throughout the weekend at local restaurants and everything is in talking distance!

We had our reception at the Tidewater Inn in the Gold Ballroom and the cocktail hour in the Gold Ballroom Garden, and we were so happy with our venue choice! Many people commented on how wonderful the food was. The staff was very professional. Melanie Bennett and her team are excellent. In addition, we had the majority of our guests stay at the hotel and join us for brunch on Sunday morning in the Brick Room. It was really great and we have absolutely no complaints. Incredibly perfect….that was our wedding at the TIdewater. Although our ceremony was held elsewhere, all the preparations, all the activities and receptions were held on the premises under the amazing guidance of their Wedding Director, Melanie who is worth her weight in gold. Every single person at the Tidewater went out of their way to insure a perfect experience for us. The planning was simplified by having someone constantly there to consult and suggest. Melanie's recommendations were not only on target but helped tremendously expedite this experience. Guests told us this was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. Vendors were integrated on schedule and cooperatively. We wish we could give this rating a 10 because they definitely produced the wedding of our daughter's dreams while keeping all guests and family thrilled to be there too. Tidewater Inn has our very highest recommendation.

There is not much to say here that others haven't said already. Melanie and her team were outstanding to work with. The Inn truly felt like a home-away-from-home for the weekend for both my husband and me, and also all our family and friends. The ability to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one building (especially in winter!) all in different locations plus have guests stay there as well was perfect. No detail was overlooks and the staff was always friendly and willing to lend a hand. I think Amanda, the bartender at Hunter's Tavern, knew the names of our entire family by the end of the weekend. Additionally, we found all our additional vendors (florist, DJ, and photographer) via Melanie's recommendations and were thrilled with each of them as well.

The Tidewater Inn is an amazing wedding venue! The staff are extremely professional, friendly, and organized. They helped make for such a special weekend. No detail is left to chance, as they had all the bases covered to allow for everything to run smoothly and efficiently. The venue is perfect for a wedding as you can conduct the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the hotel...but in different areas making for a nice flow. The food is amazing, as we received commnets frorm guests all week on how perfect the food was prepared and what a nice selection the bar had (and we got the basic bar package). For anyone considering a wedding on Maryland's Eastern Shore, check out the Tidewater Inn...you won't be dissappointed!

In 1984, my parents got married at The Tidewater. When my now husband and I were looking for venues, we thought that this would be a fun place to get married and have the reception since there was a family tie. And boy are we glad that we did.

From the start, Melanie, the onsite wedding coordinator, was great. She responds very quickly to her email and was always ready to help and answer any of our questions. She was super helpful when it came to getting me the information I needed and I really enjoyed working with her.

We used the Gold Ballroom Garden for the ceremony and cocktail hour and the Gold Ballroom for the reception. Everything flowed really well. Someone told me that it was the most punctual wedding they had ever been to! Everything went really well and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

From the first planning meeting at the Tidewater Inn, Sandy and I were beyond pleased with all aspects of our weekend for our wedding. The rooms for our guests were beautiful and the prices were very reasonable. The setup for the rehearsal dinner was intimate and private, and the food was delicious. The Inn followed our requests to a tee in the handling of the charges for all of our guests rooms and meals, and the total Inn experience was so relaxing and special. The reception, following the wedding which was held at Trinity Cathedral, was so intimate and a wonderful time of private celebration. All of the guests marveled at the beautiful setting, the wonderful food, and the fantastic staff! In fact, we have slipped back to the Tidewater several times just to enjoy an intimate dinner to continue to celebrate special moments of that wonderful weekend.

This is a superior vendor in all categories. The wedding coordinator, Melanie, is an experienced and talented manager and coach! She was present at all times during our event and has a very well trained staff. We had a fair amount of advance communication about schedule and the event ran perfectly because of Melanie's oversight. As a bonus, she has a wonderful personality and is a easy to work with.

We just had our wedding at Tidewater Inn on August 3, 2013 and it was AMAZING. Every single one of our guests raved about the venue, location, and the reception food. I have had numerous people tell me that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The wait staff at the reception was amazing and kept all of our guests happy for the whole night. We filled almost two thirds of the hotel and not one of our guests made any complaints about their accommodations and many commented on how impressed they were with the hotel staff.

Melanie and Lauren from the sales office were also amazing to work with. Melanie responded to all of our e-mails right away, answered all of our questions, and made so many amazing recommendations that made our wedding amazing. She recommended a rehearsal dinner venue, our fabulous DJ, our amazing photographer, and others. I truly didn't have time to research a million vendors and having someone with her expertise giving such good recommendations made the process a million times easier. They also bent over backwards for us on our special day to accommodate us. I absolutely would recommend the Tidewater Inn to any bride thinking about a wedding on the Eastern Shore.

Our stay at the Tidewater Inn was outstanding! It was our son's wedding weekend. We had the rehearsal dinner there in the crystal room. Every person from the bellhop, reservations, front desk, and banquet events were wonderful. Everyone was so helpful and all went above and beyond to make our stay and our event so very special. Melanie Bennett, our event manager, was so sweet and helpful. She was very attentive and conscientious. There was no stone left unturned. Our rehearsal dinner and the personnel service was outstanding. The food was delicious and hot and they served 80 people for dinner! I just cannot say enough about this hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is also excellent. The town of Easton is so quaint and the shopping is wonderful, all within walking distance of the hotel. We would whole heartedly recommend the Tidewater Inn in every respect!

We had our June 1, 2013 wedding at the Tidewater Inn, and could not have asked for a better venue. From the very start, Melanie and her team were amazing. They were incredibly accommodating and willing to make all of our special requests happen. The Courtyard was a gorgeous setting for our early evening ceremony, with a ton of flowers already in bloom, and the brand new Gold Room Garden was a perfect cocktail hour space, prior to moving all of our guests into the Gold Room for the main reception. We had a rather large wedding with 175 guests and everything went perfectly. The food was spectacular and the staff, as always, were super friendly. We are still getting rave reviews from all of our guests! The staff also took extremely good care of my husband and I, and made sure we had plates of food waiting for us at our table in between going to mingle with guests, so we were actually able to eat dinner. We could not have been happier! The Inn's location in adorable downtown Easton and the proximity to St. Michaels were also perfect for our many out-of-town guests who wanted to spend the whole weekend on the shore. We highly recommend Tidewater for anyone looking for a beautiful, historic wedding venue!

Actually a five star rating is not high enough.Our daughter's wedding was above and beyond all of our expectations.Melanie and the entire hotel staff were incredibly helpful, creative and responsive to our every need.When you add in the charm of the town of Easton and especially the Tidewater it was truly a wedding made in heaven. Melanie has the ability to take a normally stressful process and make it pleasurable.She gave many creative ideas, made sure that all of our questions and needs were met and always responded immediately.Our experience started with a tasting event early in the year which was fabulous.Every menu item, including hors d'oeuvres and beverages, was presented in a very professional manner in the actual reception venues.At the tasting we were able to talk with the planners and the General Manager who were extremely helpful and answered our of our questions and concerns.By the time we left we knew this was the perfect place.Since virtually all of our guests would be travelling to Easton and most would be first time visitors we couldn't wait to see their reactions.We were not disappointed!Many said that this was THE BEST wedding they had ever attended!We receive phone calls, emails and thank you notes all saying how perfect and wonderful the wedding was.One relative said she wished that our daughter had a sister so we could repeat the experience.The crab cakes were delicious and more than did justice to the Eastern Shore's reputation as having the best anywhere.A new feature which the Tidewater offers is the Gold Room Courtyard which is a beautifully tented outdoor space adjacent to the ballroom.It was perfect for cocktail hour and then we returned for the dancing.It was another part of this amazing day that all of our guest were raving about.It has been almost two weeks since the wedding and we are still discussing every evening how wonderful it was and we are sure that we will never stop. There isn't one thing we would do differently.

I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else in Maryland! From the most helpful staff, to the fantastic foods and drinks, to the scenery and feel of this Historic Inn, The Tidewater has it all! My groom and I felt like we were celebrities in the small town of Easton for the day. The wedding coordinators took care of every detail and allowed us to enjoy the entire day with our family and friends. Guests enjoyed the staterooms and were most complimentary of the reception meal...the food is still something people are talking about. Having both our ceremony and reception at the Tidewater was a dream come true. We partied well into the next day! What a great memory and we will think of the good times every New Year's Eve to come!

The Tidewater Inn was the perfect setting for my winter Williamsburg Christmas Wedding. A historic property with modern amenties and no need to to tent. The venue and town of Easton also made the whole wedding weekend a wonderful "mini destination" wedding. Along with the reception we had a wonderful breakfast Sunday morning and we were able to mingle with our guests in the Tavern bar Friday evening after our rehearsal dinner.

The Decanter Room for cocktail hour and Gold Ballroom for the reception were both gorgeous backdrops for all of the decor items that we brought in with amazing spots for extras like hurricanes in the windows and wreaths on the door for cocktail hour.

All the guests were thrilled by the food. Definitely go for the Filet for dinner and the brie for hors d'oeuvres. Your guests will love them.

Melanie was great at getting back to me right away throughout the entire process and answered all questions as needed. She was absolutely flexible in whatever small changes and adjustments I wanted to make.

The staff was incredibly helpful from checking in Friday afternoon and dropping off my many boxes of personal items, through Friday morning setting up the ballroom, and Sunday packing everything up to return home.

OUR WEDDING RECEPTION WAS EVERYTHING WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR AND MORE. My daughter's wedding at The Tidewater was PERFECT! It was the perfect venue since everything is in one location. With many elderly guests, it was comforting to know we did not have to leave the site. Melanie and the entire staff were exceptional, down to every last detail. The food was excellent and rivals any 4 star restaurant! The filet mignon and crab cakes were incredible and had all our guests raving. Our guests raved about the venue, the food, the level of service provided and how everything ran smoothly. Everyone commented how calm my daughter & I were...it was because everything was under control, we had not one single worry!

Besides the hotel, the Tavern Inn was a great place for the rehearsal dinner, bar for the after party, and brunch the next day! We even purchased vouchers which included tax and gratuity to treat our selected guests to brunch the next day. They have literally thought of everything!

The bridal suite was terrific and provided a great area for a bridal luncheon, makeup and hair vendors, and the wedding party to get dressed. The town of Easton was a perfect setting, and many of our guests enjoyed the weekend exploring the town.

The Tidewater Inn is a hidden gem, I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

I cant say enough good things about TWI, especially Melanie and Lauren (on-site coordinators). I have known and loved the Tidewater for years. I grew up near Easton and, as a little girl, had Sunday brunch with my grandparents in the Crystal Room and my ballroom dance lessons in the Gold Ballroom. So it is already a special place for me, but beyond just the physical charm and beauty, I am thrilled to say that everything went smoothly on my wedding day. It was literally perfect. Several guests told us it was the best wedding they went to. I'd like to think that was because of the groom and bride :) but I really think it has a lot to do with the fact that everything was in one place. Guests just needed their hotel keys and walked from one beautiful room to another (Crystal Room for ceremony, Decanter Room for cocktails and Gold Ballroom for reception). No driving, busses, waiting around, etc. The banquet manager, kitchen staff, bartenders, front desk staff were all so helpful and professional. Also, a few people also said that the steak was not only the best wedding food they'd ever had, but the best steak they'd EVER had!

The Tidewater Inn was perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful, the food is amazing, the staff and the coordinator (Melanie) are awesome, and the manager (Alex) is so helpful. We had the best experience here and would recommend it to anyone. It is so easy having everything you need in one location. Our guests could stay right at the Inn and explore beautiful downtown Easton. Having the day-of coordinator is beyond helpful, and she was there every step of the way. It could not have been a better day or a better venue.

We LOVED having our wedding at this location. Working with Melanie was truly a blessing. She is so kind and so incredibly easy to work with. We loved having our dogs there at the venue and they were so accommodating. We stayed in the wedding suite an extra night (the night before) and we were able to get ready on site and go straight into the wedding ceremony. There are so many options at this location. You can get married in the courtyard, or inside, or even out front. The food is fabulous. We had a wonderful tasting and the food was exactly the same as the tasting and get same quality. Thank you to the Tidewater staff-- we had the best wedding EVER.

My husband and were married at the Tidewater Inn on July 4th 2012. From the moment we entered the beautiful lobby, and were graciously greeted by Lauren Catterton (senior sales manager), i knew this was the right place for our wedding. The Tidewater has the charm of an old hotel with the amenities of a newer one. Everything was absolutely PERFECT! Our Ceremony was outside in the courtyard ,and we had the Reception in the Crystal Ballroom. Lauren guided us through the planning, made sure the day went smoothly, and anticipated all of our and our guests needs. We cannot say enough good things about Lauren ,she was wonderful, as was all of the staff. The food was Excellent!. The filet mignon was perhaps the best i have ever had! Thank you Chef Paul!

The Tidewater Inn staff were friendly as well as professional. I was very pleased with the creativity of the staff and the little things that they did such as lighting the fireplace in the lounge area for me and my rehearsal dinner guests. They took my vision and added their special touch to make my wedding more than I could have imagined. Months later family and friends were still talking about how beautiful everything was. The food and decor was amazing. If anything went wrong, I did not know about it. The Tidewater Inn was a major part of keeping me a stress free bride.
