Restaurant Quality Food
Coming from a couple NYC foodies that are tough to impress, Thomas Preti provided incredible service and restaurant-quality food. We were blown away, and many of our guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. -

Thomas Preti is truly the best of the best. All our guests raved about the food, saying it was the best wedding food they ever had. Scott and his team were so incredible during the planning process, always helpful, responsive, and top-quality service. TP is certainly pricier than other catering options, but the level of service and food that we received far exceeded our expectations, and helped ensure that the event was a great success! -

Thomas Preti did an amazing job at our wedding, especially due to the incredible staff - Scott, Danielle, and Isabella. From the start of the planning process through the wedding night, the whole team was so professional, and the food and drinks were great!! I planned my NYC from the West Coast and this team helped me feel connected and stay organized from a far. Danielle went above and beyond, supported my overall planning, rental selection, and design choices. Also a special shoutout to Sarah, my bridal assistant for the night, who was awesome! Highly recommend this team. -

Scott was instrumental in helping us create a vision for the food and flow of the event, and worked to build a plan that met both our budget expectations and our shared love of great food as a couple. The Thomas Preti team truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Our guests have raved about the food - our only regret is that we didn't keep eating all of the amazing food throughout the night! -

Scott Parrish and the Thomas Preti provided an unbelievable experience for us and our guests. They went above and beyond to understand our vision for not only the food, but also the overall flow and experience at our wedding. Scott provided expert guidance along the way and made it fun -- from the tasting (which was an amazing experience in itself - so many courses and options and great conversation with Scott about how each of those choices would translate to a great menu), to picking rentals, to the final prep calls before the day, we knew we were in such good hands. We got SO many compliments on the food (people are still talking about the canapes) and on how seamlessly the staff facilitated the event. 10 / 10 across the board! -

I would attend an event Scott and his team are a part of any day of the week and if you hire them, please invite me :) I interviewed 5 different caterers very early in my wedding planning process because to our family, food is one of the most important decisions you can make. As soon as we met Scott at our first tasting, it wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. The menu was flexible, creatively served, thoughtful and most importantly delicious. Scott was so patient and supportive while we finalized the menu and then went through the process of paring with wines and champagnes. At the wedding the staff were flawless, they made sure we ate, my lipstick was on right, I had water...etc The guests raved on the service, no ones drink got below halfway before a server was refilling it, the bartenders were personable and knowledgeable, everyone was helpful. The quality of food was exceptional, I am still dreaming of the passed appetizers, the octopus salad (choose dangerously ) and sensational main courses. So seriously, when you hire them, please invite me to your wedding because I'm counting the days until we can have an anniversary party to experience that again. -

Hiring Thomas Preti to cater my covid wedding was the best decision I made in terms of my vendors. I mean - food and drinks are a HUGE part of guests' experience at a wedding!- and we definitely wanted food and drinks to be AMAZING despite the restrictions we had. I worked with Carl and Carol from the team and they are both incredibly detail oriented. They are very communicative and quick to respond to emails. Right off the bat they knew that we wanted our guests to have a good time- while staying safe- and they really took that to heart and showed it in every part of the wedding as best they could. We had boxed meals for cleanliness and the steak and salmon were delicious. The cheesecake in the box was so good my mom asked for seconds. Our hors d'oeuvres were delicious! Our guests are still raving about them. When being passed around, they were covered by these beautiful dome lids- a suggestion that Carl made for cleanliness- and our guests noticed (such a good idea!) On the day of, they played the role of not only our caterer, but also our wedding planner/day of coordinator and everything went seamlessly. They worked well with our other vendors. We were treated like royalty - at one point, a waitress took my now husband and me aside and gave us a sample platter of our food to make sure that we ate- I was so blown away by their service. The waitress even helped me clean a stain off my dress - talk about going above and beyond! Thomas Preti Catering really made our covid wedding the best it could be and I am so thankful! -

Scott and the Thomas Preti team did a fantastic job catering our wedding, exceeding all of our expectations. From the first time we met Scott at our tasting we could tell he would be an excellent partner to work with - he worked with us to understand and accommodate exactly what we were looking for, provided thoughtful recommendations, and was always friendly, professional, and available. The day of the wedding, everything was flawless - the service was so impeccable that our guests couldn't stop raving, and the food tasted and looked fantastic. We especially loved their “Sip and Bite” combos, as well as the delicious taco station! They even dedicated one of their team members just for my wife and I to make sure we always had full drinks and got to try all the appetizers. At the end of the night they packed up a few left-overs for us to go home with so we got to enjoy the food for the rest of the week. Scott and the Preti team were so attentive to every detail and were a pleasure to work with! -

We had our tasting a few weeks ago and our first walkthrough with Jessica, who is amazing, yesterday (2/4). Our tasting was so elegant--held in a cheerful dining room at their offices in LIC--and the presentation was inventive and beautiful. Jessica and her team have been incredibly flexible with respect to my gluten allergy and helping us navigate all of our menu options.
Yes, Thomas Preti is expensive, but one of the main reasons we chose them is that they a) aren't at all pushy and b) provided a very clear and detailed breakdown of all costs in their initial quote. The other two vendors we spoke to either put down "TBD" in most areas of their quote or tried to hide incredible costs and markups in the contract. We are so happy to work with Jessica and her team!
