Flowers of my dreams

I want to preface this review by saying that florals were one of the most (if not the most...) important parts of the wedding day to me. As a fellow type A girlie, Katherine matched my energy 110% and was OBSESSED with the details as if it was her own wedding. She listened and re-listened to my changing floral vision during our 18 month engagement and always knew exactly how to update our proposal perfectly. On the wedding day, I remember going to the ceremony and reception spaces to see the florals and candles and literally could not believe they were OURS - it was like Katherine snuck into my brain, took a picture, and recreated it IRL. In addition to being a flower queen, she also has an incredible energy and was so wonderful to work with on the day of. You WILL NOT REGRET working with her. Separate but equally important note: Katherine's system for managing a wedding from inquiry all the way through proposal / payment plan /etc. is so seamless and tech-forward, which was a huge plus in my eyes!

Strongly recommend!

On the day we went to tour our venue, we had the opportunity to see Thistle Bee's beautiful work in person, as she was preparing and setting up for a wedding taking place that day. Her work was absolutely stunning. We also met Katherine that day and she was so kind, warm, and willing to answer any preliminary questions we had. Thistle Bee was one of the preferred vendors of our venue. After looking through her content on her instagram and website and comparing with other florists, we knew Thistle Bee was the perfect fit for us. We had multiple phone conferences with Katherine to thoroughly discuss our vision and what the overall plan and timeline would be. The meetings were comprehensive and extremely thorough. She was extremely knowledgeable about her craft, informative, and helpful. She made sure to devise plan options for us to consider that fit our vision yet remained within budget. On the day of the wedding, Katherine and her team showed up on time and wasted no time. She met with both of us to hand deliver bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, etc. Ceremony and reception decor was absolutely breathtaking. We can't thank Katherine and her team enough for their professionalism, expertise, and kindness. 10/10 Strongly recommend to anyone searching for a floral fairy godmother!

Beautiful work

I used Thistle Bee the Florist for my wedding on 3/22/24 and I was NOT disappointed. Katherine was amazing to work with and does beautiful work. She was a preferred vendor for Bear Brook Valley and for obvious reasons. First of all, she knew so much about BBV and how to set up that space with flowers to make it look beautiful. It was extremely helpful that she knew how to design the venue within my budget. Every time I spoke with her she made me very excited to see my vision come alive on my wedding day. She did EXACTY what I was envisioning, I could not be happier. Everything looked perfect. The day of the wedding she showed me everything that she had... perfectly labeled. All of the girls bouquets had a tag that said bridesmaid and mine said bride so we knew exactly to whom, each bouquet belonged to. She showed me all the boutonnieres and counted them with me to make sure we had everyones. Katherine does not leave any room for error. She is incredibly detail oriented and delivers every time. While Katherine was setting up I got a call from a groomsmen saying we were short a boutonniere (it threw me into a panic and I was confused because we had just counted them together). I went up to her to tell her (again, slightly panicing) and without hesitation she told me not to worry, and that she would go down to the grooms lounge and figure out whats going on. Long behold... men just can't count apparently (lol). She is an amazing person to work with and does beautiful work. I would recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful flowers at a reasonable cost.

We went through many iterations of what we were envisioning for our special day and she was so patient throughout the process. Outstanding!

Katherine and her team were a true joy to work with! I had a Scottish themed wedding (bagpipes, kilts, tartan etc) & Katherine showed up to the farmhouse ready to rock and roll in a tartan skirt- if that's not dedication to clients, I don't know what is. Wonderful experience with Thistle Bee

I am so grateful to have worked with Katherine and The Thistle Bee Team on the flowers for our wedding day. Florals are one of the more difficult decisions to make for your wedding day because you can only reference inspiration and images and don't see the final output until the day of. Katherine understood exactly what I was looking for and relieved some stress by providing me with wonderful mood boards. Katherine absolutely matched my vision better than I ever imagined. I was so overwhelmed with joy when I first saw my bridal bouquet. My tables were exactly as I pictured and the combo of florals was breathtaking, yet simple and elegant. She decorated my wedding venue so beautifully it was a total dream come true. A lot of the smaller details such as the greenery on the ledge leading up to the reception was noticed by many of my guests. Working with Katherine was also such a pleasure; she was professional, not pushy, responsive, and helped guide me to decide exactly what I wanted. I cannot thank her enough as it was a huge component to what made my day so special.

September 10 Wedding

I had an awesome experience with Thistle Bee. Katherine was extremely easy to work with during the planning process: very detail-oriented, so thorough and also very transparent. The proposals she creates are perfectly detailed and really provided the outline for our vision. I started planning pretty early on, and she was super helpful at every step, providing the necessary guidance to help me stay true to my vision AND my budget. Our calls were very productive and gave me reassurance as we continued to move through the process and I knew I could trust her with delivering everything we envisioned for my big day. She and her team absolutely delivered and my airy, romantic vision came to life. From the installations like the fireplaces and chandelier to our sweetheart table and my bouquet, everything was well executed by the team and aligned with all the inspiration I had provided. We were very happy with the final product and would absolutely recommend her and her team!

Amazing Florist Team

Katherine and her team are amazing! Admittedly I don't know a lot about flowers so this part of the wedding planning process stressed me out prior to Katherine stepping in! I had pinned tons of inspiration but my vision was all over the place. Prior to even consulting with Katherine, I used her Wedding planning guide to help narrow down my focus on what I wanted my day to look like. By the time I met with Katherine for my consultation, it was a breeze! Katherine was professional, kind and transparent about what my budget would offer. During our consultation she helped guide me to understand certain terms, colors, shapes, etc. which really put my mind at ease. The day of the wedding, Katherine's team really nailed my vision, letting the natural beauty of my venue shine with just the right added touch of elegance with her work. The bouquets, centerpieces, sweetheart table and ceremony pieces were everything I could have asked for - everyone was raving about the creativity put into these pieces. I even utilized her team's service when I bit off more than I could chew with my DIY mind - Shea did a wonderful job setting up everything as if she were in my own head. I would recommend Katherine and Thistle Bee to anyone!

Amazing and creative florist!

When I hired Katherine I knew right away she was going to be creative and smart and execute my vibe amazingly. Her process is so organized and thorough and fabulous. She understood the textures, colors, types of flowers and everything I was looking for. Even clarifying on zoom what did I mean by light pink because it could mean 100 different colors. She was able to put into words things I couldn’t explain about floral arrangements and did so beautifully. I took her lead on all creative and she blew me away. I am so so sooooo impressed. 10/10

Absolutely Stunning

Katherine made choosing my florals easy. Everything she picked was absolutely stunning. I don’t know much about flowers and what I’d need, but Katherine did a great job guiding me through everything I would need. The Lodge at Bear Creek is a nice space with the fireplace, which I like because I like the whole hygge aesthetic. Katherine really added more warmth to it with the floral arrangements and candles. She brought a vision I didn’t know I had to life. Katherine was great to work with and I would highly recommend her to any future bride.

If you are thinking about booking Thistle Bee Florist, DO IT! They were such a dream to work with. Katherine and her team were so responsive, professional and they work magic with flowers. My wedding day exceeded all my visions! Katherine was able to pick up on your vibe right away and I just let her run with it and totally trusted her, and let me tell you.. it was perfect!! They are so thoughtful regarding your budget as well and will work to make your vision fit into your budget and will be honest with what would look best in the space. The day of, they added loose petals to the aisle and it upgraded the ceremony space to be so dreamy! I would recommend them over and over again!

The search is over!

When I started the wedding planning process I loved looking at all of the beautiful wedding florals that we're flooding my instagram feed. I knew rather quickly what my vision was, but the next big step was finding a florist that could bring that dream to life. Admittedly, I was nervous about finding the right vendor but I was also worried that what I wanted wouldn't be in my budget. When I found Katherine and Thistle Bee I was immediately put at ease. She was very transparent about her pricing and what I would be able to afford. She was also very clear with me about how instagram may not be my reality, for reasons like filters and product choices. Katherine's transparency and clear knowledge for her industry made it easy to trust her and I often found myself deferring to her when making choices.

While I knew exactly what I wanted, much of my vision was communicated to Katherine through a hodgepodge of inspo photos and my repeated use of "rustic" and "elegant". Even with my minimal guidance Katherine knew exactly what I wanted! My wedding day far exceeded my expectations. Every flower was placed exactly how I had pictured it in my mind! She did an exceptional job of playing up the beauty of the space while also adding in her own touches.

It's impossible for me to pick a favorite detail, but I will never forget watching Katherine set up my ceremony arch from my Bridal suite. It was so special to see her at work and to watch the care and craftsmanship she put into my design. I would recommend her a thousand times over! Thistle Bee took what I've heard can be incredibly stressful process and made it easy. I could not have asked for a better florist for my wedding!

I think vendor choice can make or break a wedding-Thistle Bee made mine.

Pure Lavender Perfection with the Most Magical and Dreamiest Flower Arrangements

Katherine was recommended as a preferred florist by our wonderful photographer, Jill Sahner. I loved Katherine's work with the varieties of flowers, wispy and organic look, and her attention to detail. When I first spoke with Katherine over the phone to explain my vision to her for my wedding, it was an instant connection. Katherine knew exactly what I was looking for to elevate and compliment the lavender farm wedding venue and to make it even more romantic and French provincial. She had great ideas and recommendations on how to bring our vision to life. Katherine was always prompt with her correspondences and emails. She is the epitome of professional, creative, artistic, and organized. On the day of the wedding, Katherine and her team worked diligently and transformed the ceremony and reception areas. She added the magical touch to enhance to beauty of the venue that existed. All of our guests were in love with all of the flowers, colors, and special touches throughout the property. Katherine has an eye for design and aesthetic. We connected right away and meeting her in person was something I was looking forward to on our wedding day. You can definitely see how passionate and talented she is in her designs and creations and she truly makes the bride and wedding party feel special with her pieces. I love to see her in her element and completely gave her full trust to run with my vision and play with fun colors and the prettiest shades of lavender, light pinks/oranges/yellows, and greenery. Book Thistle Bee!

I ain’t DANDELION when I say, Katherine and her team are the best of the best! I found Katherine through my sister who previously used her services for her wedding back in 2015. My husband and I just knew we had to include Katherine in our day too! Little did we know when booking Thistle Bee in 2019 for our June 2020 wedding that a pandemic would pause the world. We postponed and rebooked with Katherine for 2021, then postponed & rebooked again with Katherine in 2022. She is really THAT good. We chose a new date almost 3 years later (March 2022) that Thistle Bee had availability for. Katherine is beyond organized, personable, professional, experienced in her field, and just all around amazing. She took our small wishes & ideas for our day and turned them into a beautiful proposal that became the backbone of our decor. Whatever flowers I wanted, Katherine was able to make my dreams come true. When it comes to flowers for your special day- do NOT go with the lowest quote. I have heard horror stories of friends going with a florist that charged them the least & I cannot imagine flowers being the biggest thing a bride is concerned about the day of. Looking back at our day, using Thistle Bee is something we would always choose- time and time again. Katherine was reliable, showed up on time, and delivered flowers to all the appropriate people. I knew she could handle setting everything up, and I only had to worry about walking down the aisle and enjoying myself. Our guests were so eager to be able to take pieces of our arrangements home that brought beauty to their homes for many days. Katherine and her team ROSE to the occasion, and they certainly did not disappoint!

Amazing experience

From start to finish Katherine was absolutely amazing to work with! We found Katherine in May 2020 and booked a consultation immediately after seeing her work. As soon as we had our consultation, we knew we had to book right away and it was the best decision. We weren't really sure of our wedding vision at first and Katherine's guidance was so helpful. And she was always available and quick to respond to literally any question we had! Every aspect of our floral designs were STUNNING. Katherine and her team created the most beautiful wedding arch for our ceremony space, that we were able to also use for our sweetheart table back drop, it was honestly one of our favorite details of the wedding along with the greenery wall they set-up behind out photobooth! We rented the greenery wall and neon sign "better together" and received so many compliments! The centerpieces and bouquets were also so amazing and we are still getting so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was! They set up the most perfect details for our ceremony space and reception, we couldn't have imagined anything better! Katherine and her team made every single part of this process run so smooth from booking, to postponing, to creating, and the delivery/setup/pickup. If you work with Katheine and her team, trust us you will not be disappointed!! Professional Service, Beautiful Product

Thistle Bee the Florist was incredibly responsive and professional throughout our planning process. She was flexible with our date change, and always was very prompt with communication. She is truly an expert in the industry! Our wedding florals were absolutely gorgeous - the design and details exceeded our expectations. When the bouquets for the bridal party were shown to me during the wedding day delivery, one was missing - I let them know, and they fixed it without skipping a beat!! Pure Magic

From the moment I spoke with Katherine I just knew she would be the best person to make my vision come to life, but she took it a step further and made it even more magical than I could have ever envisioned. I do not know much about flowers and am a visual person, which made me a little nervous when reaching out to florists especially virtual. Katherine washed away my nerves within the first 5 seconds. Her bubbly and caring personality makes her a true pleasure to talk with. She had pictures ready and was so kind to explain about each flower or alternative options. We had talked about candles lining our aisle and the result took my breath away. From the ceremony arch down to the cake florals every single detail was exceptional. I would plan a wedding again just to get the honor to work with Thistle Bee again.

Katherine from Thistlebee must have probably been THE most organized, professional and responsive vendor we had throughout our wedding planning process!! I was initially lost and we needed a lot of guidance when we began picking out our florals and design and Katherine did such an amazing job at putting the vibes we were going for into an amazing vision for our big day. The most amazing floral team 🤍

Thistle Bee/Katherine made our floral dreams come true!! We had a pretty simple vision for our wedding day, knowing our venue had a lot of natural beauty. Katherine was able to capture and enhance that beauty through our table arrangements, aisle decor, bouquets, boutonnières, and a simple but gorgeous barrel piece.

The wine barrel decor was a last minute addition. I told her a very vague idea of what I wanted and she ran with it. Walking into our venue and seeing all of the flowers was a dream come true! We also had Katherine take care of our succulent favors and those were a crowd favorite.

From the very start to the day of the wedding, it was a completely stress-free process. Katherine is transparent, fair, and communicative. I am forever grateful for the Thistle Bee team for making our wedding flowers better than we ever thought possible 🖤

Top-notch Experience!

Katherine is a dream to work with as a vendor and her talents are limitless! When we got engaged in 2019 Katherine and Thistle Bee were the first vendor we booked after securing our venue. Katherine designed my sister’s wedding several years ago and after seeing the magic she pulled off there I knew I needed to work with her. We “saved the date” with her and did a full intake call to get ideas about what we were looking for. Katherine asked all the right questions (some we didn’t even consider!) and was flexible with changes and ideas. She made the vision I had in my head (and on my Pinterest board) truly come to life. I am SO grateful to Katherine and Thistle Bee for making my wedding look incredible!

The BEST vendor experience!!!

Working with Thistle Bee was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Katherine was completely receptive to the few ideas I brought to our consultation call, and even helped me figure out our wedding colors when I had no idea where to start.

I was nervous about budget and getting talked into designs I didn’t want, but Katherine offered us multiple design options at different price points so that we could feel totally in control of each decision we had to make.

Our wedding took place in a very industrial venue (ArtsQuest Steelstacks), and our ceremony and reception designs perfectly reflected that. I was worried about over-decorating, but Katherine applied her expertise and previous experience with the space to make sure everything coordinated beautifully. The one flower I really wanted in particular for my bouquet was Anemone and wow did Katherine deliver.

Throughout the entire planning and day-of process with Thistle Bee, I truly never once felt stressed. If you are considering using Thistle Bee for your wedding, DO IT. We had an incredible experience and I plan to go out of my way to use their services again in the future!

Extremely Talented Florist!

Katherine is lovely to work with, and she made our wedding look absolutely beautiful with her amazing designs. My wife and I don't know much about flowers, and she was so patient with us and gave great recommendations based of off the little we did know. My favorite thing she designed for us was the arch behind us during our ceremony - I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw it. Katherine is extraordinarily talented - definitely hire her!!!

The most incredible floral process you will ever have!

How do I even start to explain the amazingness that is Katherine and her team? If you are looking for the most painless, organized, efficient, and EASY floral process you NEED to book Thistle Bee. Katherine is knowledgeable, kind, and feels like one of your best friends right from the start. I went in to this process basically only knowing what flowers I did and did not like and that I wanted a very floral bouquet. Katherine took all my random thoughts, Pinterest pins, and Instagram inspo and made all my floral dreams come true. After our first chat, I knew we would be booking Thistle Bee. Just the organization and attention to detail Katherine brought to that FIRST conversation we had eased any worry I could have possibly had about someone not understanding what I really wanted. My favorite part of this process is that I felt 1000000% comfortable giving Katherine and her team my ideas and just having them run with it. I trusted Katherine right from the get go because she makes you feel that comfortable from day 1 and honestly her pictures/reviews speak for themselves. I knew that on my wedding day that the outcome would be gorgeous and it certainly was that and more. When I first saw my bouquet, the maids bouquets and boutonniere I wanted to cry because the flowers, design, and colors were just so gorgeous. Somehow Katherine was able to take what I had in my head (but had a hard time verbalizing) and make these pieces exactly how I imagined. On top of that the two individuals who dropped off the flowers were so funny, nice, and had genuine excitement over my excitement and wedding day and honestly what more could you ask for. When I finally got to see the reception space , WOW. My floral/candle visions were all there right in front of me. I booked Katherine 2+ years ago even before covid so I was waiting for this moment for a LONG time and I was so excited to see the beauty that Katherine and her team created. I am still speechless at how beautiful everything was. The flowers and greenery were so vibrant, so stunning. I kept touching everything because I couldn't believe they were real! The next day, my bouquet still looked incredible. I put it in water and for the next couple of days it still looked gorgeous. Overall, this experience was one of the easiest I had while planning our wedding. I know I have already touched on this, but Katherine's organization, expertise, and efficiency are top notch. Her communication game is on point. I wish I could have Katherine outfit my home in flowers every single day. Everyone you NEED to get on booking Thistle Bee ASAP you will not be disappointed and it will be one of the easiest parts of your wedding planning!

Katherine is the best!!

I would highly recommend booking Katherine for your wedding! Working with her over the past 3 years as we navigated many postponements was an absolute pleasure! She was so sweet and flexible as we moved our wedding and worked with me on a floral design within my budget. I asked for so many changes along the way and she never skipped a beat. She provided suggestions and ideas to pull off my Pinterest vision within our price range. The end result was fantastic, we got so many compliments on the flowers!! GORGEOUS and amazing to work with!

Katherine and the Thistle Bee team’s work captured my eye immediately when I scrolled through their Instagram for the first time. Our venue Rock Island Lake Club had them on their preferred vendor list and there was no doubt in my mind why! Katherine was so responsive and detailed oriented. She had every aspect of the planning and designing process covered. She made everything so quick and easy while being incredibly efficient. And their florals just bring everything to LIFE! Absolutely gorgeous and simplistic in the most charming way possible. Katherine hand delivered my bouquet herself and I was so happy I was able to meet her! Such a beautiful experience all around!

Amazing business with beautiful designs!

Katherine does such an amazing job! My husband and I are actually a "corona" couple who had several rescheduled wedding dates, and Katherine was so flexible and incredibly helpful with every change. She not only designed our first backyard ceremony beautifully, but she also made our second wedding at our venue perfect! I came to Katherine with simple ideas and flower choices, and she was able to design the most beautiful center pieces, aisle decor, and bouquets/boutonnieres that went above and beyond what I could've ever imagined! I would highly recommend Katherine and her team to anyone who is looking for the perfect flowers to go with their happily ever after!

A+ experience: organized, thoughtful, thorough, and CARES

I can't sing enough praises about Katherine and her team. I had 3 reschedules due to COVID-19 and they had to reschedule along with me all those times, ensuring that they were available for my dates. At one of the reschedules, she was already booked for another wedding and still wanted to cater to me so planned on splitting up her team and working both weddings for that date!! Thankfully they didn't need to for the final date we chose but her willingness to bend over backwards for us was not unnoticed.

Katherine is extremely organized, it was apparent from our initial meeting. She also is very insightful - she takes visions and makes them realistic. The day of the wedding, everything was labeled, delivered on time, and she made sure to touch base with me and walk me through everything. She never pushes you to spend more than you are comfortable with and stays very transparent about costs and expectations. I didn't fully understand how to describe the style of bouquet I had wanted but Katherine somehow was able to interpret it perfectly and I looooved my flowers the day of. Her team's work was incredible and my guests commented on them all night long. On top of all this, she is so educational (if you follow their instagram account you will see what I mean!) and sweet. Highly, highly recommend her!

Book w katherine! She will make your dream vision come to life!

I found Katherine on Instagram and knew immediately I needed to have a consultation with her. I was planning a bohemian/romantic styled wedding and a lot of Thistle Bee's previous work matched what I wanted from a florist. After our style proposal meeting, I knew I made the right choice. Katherine has been a member of my wedding since 2019. She was completely understanding of the whole pandemic and how it ripped the wedding industry to shreds. I was so fortunate to be able to keep her as my florist for up to THREE date changes! Throughout the whole planning process, Katherine was extremely communicative, honest, understanding and proved to be a great listener. She took the ideas I had and brought them to fruition. When I came down the stairs on the day of my wedding I was in awe! The Thistle Bee team did an incredible job. The bouquets, arch, decor, everything, was just gorgeous and exceeded my hopes and imagination. I so wish Katherine owned a flower shop that I could order bouquets from. She is an absolute mastermind when it comes to flowers! I didn't receive all my photos yet from the wedding, but you can get a peak of her work in these. If you're contemplating booking Thistle Bee, I 10000% recommend!!

Thistle Bee is the best! I had so much fun meeting with Katherine and she was able to clearly show how she understood the vision I wanted. We had to postpone due to COVID-19 and she has been so accommodating and easy to communicate with. I can't wait to finally see our wedding come to life in the future!

She provided the best experience throughout the process including COVID postponements and delivered on everything we talked about! I don't know the name of any flowers and she was very patient to walk through different pictures with me to ensure we were on the same page! Katherine was very transparent when it came to budget which was super helpful so I knew where I wanted to spend my money and had clear expectations for what I could get for my budget. The day of the wedding was seamless and I had no concerns. Katherine nailed the modern, minimal, elegant vision I had in my head! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thistle Bee the Florist!!

Stress-Free Experience

Thistle Bee was extremely accommodating when we had to reschedule our wedding due to Covid. I was very stressed about needing to modify our colors due to changing the season of our wedding from Summer to early Fall, but Katherine made it so simple and seamless. Our flowers were perfect! Thistle Bee Saves the Day!

When I had to cancel my original florist only 4 weeks before my wedding date during pandemic times, needless to say, I was stressed. I'm so thankful that Katherine was able to swoop in and save the day! Within only hours of being put in touch with her, she came back with a proposal so quickly and within my original budget. She definitely has really high quality work, and I was so happy with the florals on the day of! She was able to match my vision exactly just based on Pinterest photos and inspo. Katherine was so easy to work with and you can tell that she really knows her stuff! The centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous and my bouquet was just amazing. I cannot recommend Thistle Bee enough!

Amazing Florist!!

I think I lost track of how often I said, “I love our florist”. When I scheduled my consultation with Thistle Bee, I also had consultations with other florists scheduled. As soon as I got off the phone, I canceled the other consultations because I just knew I had to have Katherine as our florist. Katherine was so easy to work with and made the process so effortless. She is so personable, enthusiastic, and her passion for her work truly shows. She helped make my vision come true while remaining conscious of our budget. We got married at The Palace at Somerset Park in front of the fireplace, and how she decorated our fireplace was by far my favorite part! My bouquet was exactly how I imagined it. I can’t say enough great things. Thank you, Katherine! I highly recommend Katherine and Thistle Bee for anyone’s wedding.

Wonderful Experience

It was such a fun experience working with Katherine and her team! She truly made my vision come true. I had known about Thistle Bee through my sister who had gotten married the year before.

It was such a breath of fresh air talking with Katherine compared to many of the other florists I had spoken with. If you are like me and are not that knowledgable about flowers, her concept was truly helpful and FUN. She uses ideas through your pinterest to create the vision, and then shows you specific flowers that would be in season during your wedding. She was extremely flexible, and offered many suggestions when I indecisive. I really trusted her expertise and it was obvious she was passionate about what she does which made this experience wonderful. I added on a flower hair piece very last minute which she created just from an email I had sent of ideas. It was perfect. Thank you to Katherine and Thistle Bee for such a wonderful experience! This was truly one of the most fun planning experiences.

I loved working with Thistle Bee The Florist! Katherine was so communicative and I always looked forward to our prep calls. She was respectful of our budget and overall vision, and made several recommendations that would not have occurred to me without her expertise, but definitely helped the venue come to life. Unlike a few other florists I'd met with, I didn't feel "upsold" in the least, and could not have been happier with her final product. Professional, Organized, Honest -- and beautiful arrangements!

Right from the start, I could tell that Katherine was extremely organized and professional. She has a easy to use system in place for setting up appointments to talk to her (also with reminders!). This was so nice for me, as I had the back and forth email communication with some vendors which can be tiring. Instead I just picked and open slot! We had a chat in which I showed her what I like and she gave suggestions. My budget was relatively low and she didn't try to get me to make it higher- only gave suggestions for ways to get the most for my money. She was very honest - especially when it came to something I requested and she warned that I'd be paying more for labor than actual florals - I appreciated her honesty instead of just making the profit regardless! The day of -everything came out exactly as I had hoped! She took my inspiration and brought it to life. My bouquets were gorgeous and the arrangements and backdrops were as well. I highly recommend Thistle Bee!

Stunning florals!

I cannot thank Katherine and the entire team at Thistle Bee enough for the most amazing florals for my wedding day. From the bouquets, to the boutonnieres to the Ryland Inn fireplace display, copper arch and each table setting, the greenery and flowers were not only stunning but perfectly personalized to what I envisioned. As I look at all the photos, I cannot help but smile with how perfect everything complimented one another. I would highly recommend Thistle Bee for not only the beautiful florals but Katherine's professionalism and organization that made the day so smooth!

She must read minds!

Dream come true!

Working with Katherine was nothing short of a dream. After talking to several florists, I knew that Katherine was the one we'd hire as soon as we hung up. She takes great care in every single stage of the process working her clients. On our introduction call she sent me a video call link so that she could share her screen. She shared a presentation and then we spent time searching on google for images of flowers I thought I liked, or she thought I may like. It helped to ensure that we were envisioning the same thing and also allowed her to flex knowledge on similar blooms, seasonal blooms, etc.

From there Katherine continued to be flexible and creative. I would call, text, or email to brainstorm ideas and changes. I felt like she was always genuinely happy to talk to me-- which is amazing because I LOVED working with her! She emphasized that every wedding is unique and that she wanted to help make ours special and personal to us.

On the day of everything was exactly as we had discussed, with a few special surprises mixed in. I remember my reaction to seeing the boutonnieres, which had multiple flowers and were well above and beyond what I expected! The same could be said for our cake flowers. I sent Katherine a picture of an idea, but told her I trusted her to run with it... best decision I could have made! Again, went above and beyond what I could have suggested.

I couldn't have asked for a more amazing florist and thought-partner for decor. As an event planner, I wanted to be sure that I hired vendors that could see, enhance, and execute my dreams without me needing to be worrying about it on the day of. In Katherine, I got just that! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

Wedding 10/19/18

We used Thistle Bee for our wedding florist on 10/19/18. Katherine was wonderful throughout the entire planning process. She responded to email quickly and was extremely patient as we decided exactly what colors and style we wanted. The flowers were really important to me and I knew that by working with Katherine and Thistle Bee, our flowers would we gorgeous. She did not disappoint! Every single item I ordered was perfect. The quality and quantity of the flowers was great. I have seen Katherine’s work and two of my friends wedding and each time her creations have been beyond expectations. She is wonderful and I would highly recommend Thistle Bee to anyone planning a wedding or event.

Thistle Bee was an absolute dream to work with!

Katherine from Thistle Bee was so easy to work with. From the first day I talked to her, I knew she was the Florist I was going to go with. Katherine and her team were so accommodating and knowledgeable. At the time I decided to go with Thistle Bee, I lived over an hour away from her floral shop. Instead of having to go out to her, Katherine set up a virtual meeting and we ran through everything effectively and efficiently. After our meeting, she sent a proposal outlining everything we discussed, and brought by vision to life. Throughout the time before the wedding, we had a few changes that needed to be made, and again everything was seamless. A month before the wedding, I wanted to add votives to the tables, and again, it was not an issue. She sent me options, made the selections, and they were there on the wedding day. Katherine and her team, the day of the wedding were amazing. I met her for the first time in person at the venue that afternoon, and it felt like I knew her forever! She was on top of everything, ran through everything with me and it was absolutely perfect. My floral vision, was even more beautiful than I could of imagined. Katherine and her team then came back the following day and picked up anything I rented from Thistle Bee. I can't say enough good things about Thistle Bee. Literally, everything was perfect, and never once was stressed during the process or wedding day!

Beautiful!

Katherine did an amazing job on our wedding flowers! As soon as I had my first consultation with her I knew she was our florist. I was on the phone with her for almost an hour! She is extremely thorough with her consultation and uses a site where you can see her screen and she will show you all of the flowers you discuss as well as any other ideas that might come up. She understood my vision immediately and the day of it did not disappoint! I cried when I saw my flowers- they were absolutely perfect. I also noticed so many little details throughout the day where she added flowers or greenery that we did not even discuss!

She was very realistic with me regarding pricing up front and even was able to add an additional centerpiece the week before the wedding. She was always very responsive and her pricing is fair. We were so happy with everything the day of!

Katherine and her team were a true pleasure to work with. Right form our very first conversation, I knew Katherine understood my vision and I trusted her completely. She was so easy to communicate with & every time we spoke, I felt like I was just talking to a friend. Katherine and her team at Thistle Bee the Florist were AMAZING!!! The Farmhouse at The Grand Colonial referred her to me and I'm so glad they did! I had so many different ideas I liked, and Katherine was able to take my Pinterest board and make my vision come to life. Everything was perfect from the girl's hair clips, my dogs flower collar to my beautiful bouquet and our lovely centerpieces! & the smell of the flowers when you walked into the room were amazing! Katherine was so sweet, understanding, easy to work with and made me feel so comfortable! This was the only vendor I did not stress and have to worry about from the very first time speaking with her. I honestly cannot say enough about Katherine and Thistle Bee - Katherine is SUPURB at her job and made all of my flower dreams (its a thing) come to life for my wedding. Prior to my wedding planning, I really didn't have much experience in the area of florals and was honesty anxious about finding a florist who would get my vision of "rich, colorful, fall" florals, without looking too colorful, etc. But when I found Katherine I knew she was it. We spoke numerous times to plan all the details before my wedding - even when I decided to adjust little details. Katherine is extremely kind, accommodating and so, so creative. She knows her craft and it shows in her work. I never had a single doubt that Katherine understood what I was looking for and would be able to deliver. She listened to all of my ideas, offered her suggestions and the end products were breathtaking. Katherine also designed my ceremony arbor, reception decor and table scapes. She did a wonderful job on it all and I continually get compliments on how beautiful everything came together! As I get photos back from my photographer I find myself drooling over my bouquet before looking at anything else - ha! I truly could not be more pleased with everything - do not hesitate to work with Katherine and the Thistle Bee team!

Katherine did the most amazing job at creating our daughter's vision for her wedding day. She truly listens to you and asks the right questions to understand your style and what you are looking for. We uploaded pictures of the bride and bridesmaids dresses, ideas we had and anything we thought might help. She took our info and ran with it. Her flowers and designs were so unique, and perfect for our barn wedding. My daughter Loved her bouquet and I was so thrilled with how beautiful our venue looked! Thistle Bee was a wonderful choice for my wedding flowers! I truly felt like we got to customize every detail to exactly what I wanted. Katherine understood the theme of the day and did a great job of listening to what we wanted the exact look and vibe for our day to be.
At my venue, there were a few places: tables, fireplace, bar that I asked her to touch up and add some florals too......I was BLOWN away by how beautiful she made it look. Again, she understood my style and nailed it! Now, the photos are perfect!

Katherine was my favorite vendor out of everyone else (DJ, photographer, etc.) because she was the easiest to work with, the easiest to get a hold of, and the flower design was absolutely breathtaking! Katherine did an AMAZING job for our wedding. I started planning the wedding while living out of state, but Katherine made it super simple to narrow in on what I’d like and we connected virtually so I could still share my vision and she could share ideas. While I thought I knew what to expect, The day of the wedding I was still blown away. The church looked like something out of a magazine, my bouquet was incredible, and the entire reception hall was stunning, especially the largest piece on our sweetheart table. The end result was exactly what I hoped for, a bit relaxed and rustic with an overall classy romantic feel. Katherine Herrman was a joy to work with throughout the planning process. Her love of flowers shines through and you can tell that she just loves her job. That is even more evident when you finally see her gorgeous work. She lovingly created a floral wonderland that was nothing short of spectacular. Our guests were blown away, just as we were. Katherine was able to take our ideas and create a masterpiece. We even had a 6 year old guest fall IN LOVE with Katherine’s floral arrangements for the tables, and she took about 15 arrangements with her on the long drive home to Michigan. During the planning process, she was very quick to respond to my emails and made planning sessions so convenient by offering them online. She took my initial ideas and made everything even better and more beautiful than I imagined, and on top of that was so professional and truly wonderful to work with. We can't thank Katherine and her team at Thistle Bee enough for their incredible work...they created the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and floral lantern centerpeices for our wedding! They were one of my most favorite aspects of the day, to see our vision come to life, it was even more beautiful than I dreamed it would be! We received so many compliments from our wedding guests! I cannot say enough about Kathryn and her team. From the first meeting (all on line and over the phone) until I saw my flowers and the centerpieces, she was professional, intuitive, flexible and excited. Kathryn was able to put my vision into reality. She was completely respectful of my budget at all times. Words are really not doing justice for what a stress free, fun experience it was to work with her. My flowers and the arbor and centerpieces were 110% of what I wanted. Katherine was amazing to work with and made my wedding day vision come to life! Picking out flowers is not like picking a wedding dress. You can’t see the final product until the day of. You really have to trust your florist and their creative/artistic ability. Katherine spent a lot of time going through every detail with me (including images of every single flower). She was also very conscious of my budget and helped me plan around it. On the day of my wedding, it was amazing to walk out of the bridal suite to see the beautiful work she had done! I do not even know where to start. Katherine and her team at Thistle Bee Florist are absolutely incredible!! From the moment Katherine and I first spoke over the phone on our consultation, I knew she was the perfect person to bring our wedding design to life. She was the only florist I spoke with, and it was a wrap! She was so incredibly organized, detailed, responsive, and immediately understood my vision for everything from bouquets, to table greenery, to the flowers on my cake, to many other design accents (including a gorgeous garland draped/strung over a pipe and drape backdrop). She took every step to ensure that we could complete my vision while being respectful of our budget, which just added to the level of comfort I had in knowing she had our best interests at heart in making our day special.

On the day of our wedding, I was completely blown away by how Katherine and her team were able to bring my vision to life!! Our bouquets and boutonnieres were just stunning and I received an endless amount of compliments about how gorgeous they were. In thinking of their work in its entirety, Katherine went above and beyond and truly exceeded any expectations I could've had. Not only did she complete the look I hoped for at my venue, she just brought the design to another level I couldn't have even dreamed of!! When I arrived to the venue my jaw literally dropped from the beauty!! I had no doubt that she would create a gorgeous space, but the result just brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I cannot express enough how incredibly grateful I am for the work that Katherine and Thistle Bee did for our wedding - it was truly magical!!! I had an amazing experience with Katherine at Thistle Bee! I have been searching high and low to find a florist that would be able to accommodate my budget for my elopement as I was never big on flowers anyway and it was not a big part of my budget. Katherine was able to work with me on my budget and bring my floral vision to life. The booking process was super easy and you get email reminders of when your invoice is due, which was super handy for me because I am a forgetful person. I simply emailed Katherine and gave her some pictures of what I liked and what I wanted with regards to the floral arrangements.

Katherine made the entire wedding flower process painless. The flowers were amazing and so gorgeous. During the reception I was walking around with my bouquet and people kept asking me if I wanted them to walk the bouquet over to my table and I said no because I didn't want to be a part from them. Collaborating with Katherine was one of my absolute favorite parts of planning my wedding. I am convinced she is a floral wizard. She is beyond professional, inventive, understanding, and creative. Working with her was an open book of communication and inspiration, which was amazing and so helpful. She was so willing to give her professional input but listened to every word I said and kept true to what I wanted. By the end of creating my dream wedding together, I found myself wanting to be Katherine's best friend. She's seriously that awesome.

Another little thing I seriously appreciated about Thistle Bee was that the first thing she asks is your budget, helps you decipher what that looks like and how it can work, and sticks to it. She offered alternatives to things to keep the cost down in areas and was extremely honest and genuine with that (very important) aspect of planning. I can't praise that authenticity of a business enough. We had an absolutely stunning set up with tonnnnns of florals and she kept me within my budget the entire time. Honestly phenomenal.

As for the day of, my flowers trumped all expectations that I had. The best way to describe it is that it looked nothing like I anticipated in the best way possible - it was that good. I couldn't even picture it until the day of. I was blown away when I saw my bouquet and when I walked into my ceremony/reception spaces. It made the best day of my life even better. I could go on and on about how thankful I am and how amazing Thistle Bee made my wedding, but I will simply say: BOOK THISTLE BEE! THIS WILL BE THE FLORIST. I feel sorry for you if you don't! ??

Thistlebee's creations for our wedding were absolutely beautiful, I loved the way that everything turned out! Katherine was always very responsive throughout the process and was great about helping me figure out what type of design I was looking for. The way that Katherine and her team use colors and textures really make the flower arrangements stand out, and she was so great to work with. We got so many compliments on the beautiful bouquets and centerpieces that day from family and friends. Definitely recommend Thistlebee!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Katherine and her team. After speaking to countless florists, a few who blatantly told me my dream was not possible within budget, I FINALLY found Thistle Bee and I couldn't be more grateful that I did. Katherine was so kind, responsive and helpful. She assured me time and time again that my attention to detail was not crazy and that she understood just what I wanted. We live in NC and had our wedding at the Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield NJ, this made floral samples impossible. I was a bit nervous in the months leading up to the big day, but after speaking with Katherine at our final skype meeting, I was confident that she knew exactly what I wanted. All the flowers and decor were more than I had hoped for on the big day. Everything was absolutely stunning, especially my bouquet which I still get compliments on!! In addition to having Thistle Bee as our florist, Katherine and her associate Kate, worked as our coordinator and bridal attendant respectively. They were an absolute DREAM. They made sure all our little details were setup and that every vendor was where they needed to be. They kept me calm throughout the entire day, even with a few curveballs thrown our way! I could not have asked for a better team and will recommend them to anyone who will listen!

We decided to go with a florist with only one month left until the big day, so we were desperate to find a florist who could not only provide us with beautiful bouquets, but give us a competitive price point and deliver on schedule. We were referred to Thistle Bee by our Event Coordinator, and we couldn't have been more delighted with the results. Katherine delivered on ALL of these fronts, and she was incredibly responsive through email throughout the whole process, giving me the peace of mind I needed. Deciding on a floral design was as simple as sending Katherine a few inspiration photos and a budget, and she took care of the rest. My bridal party, mother, and mother-in-laws all absolutely adored the flowers and now my only wish is that I could preserve them so I could keep them looking fresh forever. Thank you so so much for making this special day that much more vibrant and beautiful.

Katherine and her team did an amazing job in designing all of the flower arrangements for our wedding! We knew from our first consultation with Katherine that Thistle Bee was the perfect choice for us. We were not very knowledgeable about flowers going in, but Katherine made the whole process so simple for us.

We told Katherine our wedding theme ("A Walk in the Woods"), and she knew exactly what direction to go in. She enthusiastically made suggestions for types of flowers for bouquets and centerpieces, greenery, ribbon, bark boxes (yes, bark boxes!), and birch votives, and she had pictures of everything to give us a visual before making any decisions. Katherine also went above and beyond in helping me to coordinate the colors of my table linens and favors with the table arrangements.

Katherine was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process (our photographers even commented on how organized she was with labeling the bouquets and walking me through her checklist after delivering the flowers on our wedding day). Thistle Bee the Florist took our vision and turned it into a beautiful reality!

Katherine is incredible! She is quick to reply to emails and calls and meets anywhere that is convenient for you. She is very friendly and can take your ideas and make perfectly designed flowers. I wanted something unique and beautiful and couldn't be more pleased. The men's boutonniere's were so creative. The centerpieces were rustic and the guests loved taking them home at the end of the night. We also rented our burlap table runners through her. I added on watering cans last minute and she filled them beautifully and it added just that little extra touch to the venue to make it more personal. The standout for me though was the flowers that hung over the gazebo and were then brought onto the sweetheart table. I can't recommend Thistlebee more highly. It was even better than I could have imagined.

Katherine is one of the kindest and proficient people I have ever met. She is personal but very professional at the same time. She has the creativity that most other florists do not have. Katherine is talented and can picture your vision and beyond. You will not be disappointed, she is a trusted florist who will make your wedding day appear special, customized and most of all stunningly gorgeous. Myself, the groom and guests were in awe with the centerpieces Katherine designed, they were wild flowers in different variety of blue glass. I think the flowers were one of my most favorite things of the wedding besides marrying my best friend and celebrating with friends and family. She knows her textures, colors, scales and design like no other florist. Thank you again to Thistle Bee for all your love, effort and hardwork!
