Captured Our Day Beautifully

We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos! As people who don't consider ourselves particularly photogenic or comfortable in front of the camera, we were nervous about photo sessions, but our photographer, Maloos, made the entire experience so easy and natural. Nothing felt overly posed or stiff.

Her guidance on posing helped us look our best while still feeling authentic, and the dance floor action shots were so fun and full of energy! Our friends and family have been raving about the photos, and we absolutely love them too.

On our wedding day, they handled the intense heat with such professionalism and even suggested pivoting to a slightly different shaded location that would photograph better – a decision we're so grateful for. They captured both the grand moments and the small, intimate details that made our day special, with shots that were truly artful and creative. These aren't just photos; they're genuine works of art.

Easiest Decision

This is Feeling is the first vendor we booked after the venue. Their work stood out for its authenticity and humanity. They remained easy to work with, clearly focused on our wants, and fun to be around on a hectic day. We did not want our day to feel like a photoshoot, but we did want a few more artsy portraits, and Misa and Krystal hit the nail on the head. Our photos are unbelievable, and we are excited to get Kevin's work back for our video. We are very appreciative they could capture the in-between moments on a day that went by so fast. Would choose This is Feeling again and again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing photos!

We chose This is Feeling because they specialized in photo documentary style and we wanted to capture the raw moments of our day so that we can look back and relive them. They did not disappoint! The team was super communicative and easy to work with. We were paired with Philip for our wedding day photos and they were amazing! Looking through them truly was like reliving the joy of the day. Philip was professional and made us feel comfortable and for a lot of captured moments I didn’t even realize he was there! He was able to flex with us with any changes to the timeline and still captured so many precious moments that we will treasure forever. Thank you Philip and everyone at This is Feeling!

Working with this is Feeling was a great experience!

Working with this is Feeling was a great experience. We knew we had a certain theme and they helped us envision it and plan for things we were not expecting.
After the wedding, I was expecting to see a few hundred nice but I was blown away because we received back over 1,000 fantastic pictures that perfectly captured our night.
It's hard to pick any favorite moment, as there are so many evidence of this great photography!

Fantastic Photographer!

Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions my wife and I made during our wedding planning process. 10/10 Recommend This Is Feeling

Working with Ben was like hanging out with your friend that is way cooler than you and just being around them levels you up. He was chill and funny and made my husband and I super comfortable during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. We wanted photos that were reflective of us on a normal day and we totally got that. We have a gorgeous collection of candids, silly shots that feel so deeply unique to our personalities and sweet moments I will cherish forever. After the wedding, I bugged Ben about getting my photos because I was simply too impatient to wait (sorry, Ben) and when he sent them over, every expectation we had was far exceeded. We've now had the chance to frame our favorites, share them with loved ones and post them to our social media channels and the positive feedback from others matches our love for how the photos turned out. I cannot recommend This Is Feeling Enough and will 100000% be calling up Ben for every life-milestone-photo-op from here on out.

Amazing candid shots

We were looking for someone who could capture great candid shots that matched the vibe of our wedding and This is Feeling really delivered. None of our pictures felt staged or overly produced and we were so impressed with the number of shots from different views at our ceremony. Ben was stealth - we don't remember seeing him moving about but he captured the best moments. There was no stress or concern working with This is Feeling and we didn't have to give them very much direction. It really helped to have a photographer with familiarity of our venue and such a high level of expertise for weddings. We were so happy with all of the photographs and couldn't believe that we loved nearly every single one! I would recommend working with This is Feeling for any project.

Wedding Photographer

This Is Feeling was so easy to work with and as soon as we talked to Ben I knew we picked a great company. He had the same visions as us as to what should be captured on our wedding day. Like their Instagram says, no bull-shit. They asked what we wanted and they delivered. Their questionnaire was simple yet asked us exactly what we were looking for. It helped them pair us with the right photographer and we’re so glad we got paired with Maloos. We’re not a photogenic couple and she made us feel so comfortable. She also took control of our large bridal party and made sure to get everyone looking and smiling. When we got our pictures, they were everything we wanted and more. Maloos captured moments we weren’t around to see so going through them gave us an insight on how other people enjoyed the night. Because of This is Feeling, whenever we look at them we get to relive our wedding day.

Creative and professional

This Is Feeling was suggested to us by a friend who's also a wedding planner and she told us "if you want the best bang for your buck, use Ben and his team", and I have to say, we got everything we could have dreamed for and more. We worked with Misa who was punctual, easy to get along with, and had some fun ideas for unique photos. We were looking for more artistically framed photos and lots of candid moments to be captured and he did a fantastic job with both of these things! While my husband and I were going through the photos we just got back, we were marveling over how even the posed photos have a certain candid vibe that we love. We're also thrilled with how quickly we received all of our photos back from them, only 2 months! Overall, Misa and This is Feeling has provided a wonderful experience and we couldn't be happier with the photographic memories we'll be cherishing for the rest of our lives

Best photographer ever

Best photographers EVER! This Is Feeling completely encapsulated every emotion on our wedding day. We love the blend of traditional and documentary style photos we received so much so that when we looked through all of the photos it was like reliving the entire day. From the beginning, Ben (the owner) made the planning process SO EASY. Planning a wedding during this crazy pandemic was insane but This Is Feeling made the entire photography element a breeze.

We were assigned to Mike for both our engagement session and our wedding day and he was the PERFECT fit. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and got some AMAZING photos. All of our guests also loved the photos - so much so, in fact, that many people said that pictures taken of them were some of the best professional photos they have ever taken!

Mike was dedicated to getting perfect shots and he and his assistant Pavel were the perfect team. We LOVE all of our photos and could not have asked for better photographers.

Thank you SO MUCH Mike, Pavel, and everyone from This Is Feeling! If you hire them, you will have beautiful photos that will last a lifetime, and you will NOT regret your decision.

SO happy with our photos!

This is Feeling is amazing. Ben and the rest of the team there were always so easy to work with and quick to respond with updates and changes throughout the COVID postponements and rescheduling of our event. Prior to the event we had a few calls and the process in which the team gathers the information from us was super helpful - thinking about what kind of pictures we wanted beforehand and talking that through with Ben made sure we got what we wanted. We felt very comfortable with Ben and it was easy to make quick changes or grab him for a picture when needed. It was nice to have someone there that we felt comfortable with as a photographer and that was working to get the right shots. We knew the pictures would be great, but they were so much better than we had thought. Getting to see the pictures the first time was lovely. The slideshow they created was beautiful and even brought tears to my husband's eyes. Amazing experience start to finish!

Would highly recommend working with This Is Feeling! The experience from start to finish was very easy and relaxed. Communication was great and they always answered my questions really quickly. We were really excited about their photography style and values and they did not disappoint. We had Samuel as our lead and Kina as our assistant the day of the wedding and they were AWESOME! They both made us feel relaxed and we had so much fun during all the picture moments. When we got our photos, they completely exceeded our expectations. They told the story of the day so perfectly and took us right back to everything we felt that day. We love all the candid, natural moments they captured. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Dreamy Pictures

We worked with This is Feeling for our wedding this past May and had a wonderful experience. We first met with Ben who had a chat with us about our wedding vision and what was important for us to be captured. We were immediately impressed by their style and knew they were the right fit for us. My husband and I aren't the biggest "picture people", so we liked that they had a more candid feel to them.
We were assigned to Misa a couple months out from our wedding. Although we did not meet him in person until the day of our wedding, we were completely on the same page on what our priorities were and what we wanted pictures of. When we also expressed that we didn't want to spend too much time taking pictures during cocktail hour, he respected that and swiftly moved along so we could join our guests for the tail end of it. We just received all our pictures a couple weeks ago and they are stunning. He completely captured the love and emotion of the day and we already proudly have several displayed in our home. The. Best.

Where to begin with This Is Feeling - hands down, the BEST!

Josh and I planned our wedding long distance which came with its own set of challenges. When looking for photographers - we knew one thing - we wanted someone that would document our wedding day in a way that when we looked back at our photos it'd feel like we were there all over again. During a trip to Chicago to choose our vendors, we met with three photographers all of which had what I called the "white wash filter" wedding photos. We shared our experience with our florist and she recommended Ben at This Is Feeling -- it was our last night in Chicago and Josh reached out to Ben thinking we'd have to fly back to Chicago to meet with him as we were leaving the next day. Ben picked up the phone and made himself available and we met at his studio that night.

From the minute we walked into the studio Ben made us feel so welcomed - there were wedding photos hung throughout the studio that were EXACTLY what we were looking for. As soon as we left the studio we knew that Ben was our guy!

We signed our contract that included an engagement session which we shot over our Christmas trip to Chicago -- Ben was so easy going and made sure to capture Josh and I so naturally. We truly enjoyed our shoot. Once we received those photos it reassured us that we chose the perfect photographer for our Wedding Day!

Our initial Wedding Day was April 24th - as COVID began to develop and evolve - we decided that we'd have to postpone our wedding to September 11, 2020. I cannot begin to express how AMAZING the team at This Is Feeling was during the uncertainty that we in with this pandemic. We had no idea what would happen, if they would close shop, if we'd have to search for new vendors, etc. This Is Feeling quickly shared with us their availability for the next year and we quickly chose our date. During this entire pandemic, they created a newsletter that included reassurance, tips and tricks on how to navigate through these times as there were many couples (us included) that felt lost.

Leading up to our new date, Ben kept in close contact and was there to answer any questions that we had and made himself available for calls!

Our wedding day came and we couldn't imagine any other way than with Ben as our photographer. We decided on taking first-look photos and photos with our bridal party throughout the city prior to our ceremony. Having seen Ben's work, we trusted him to choose the locations for these photos. He worked with our planner every step of the way, with a whole set of different locations, each of which fit perfectly with what we had envisioned. He even prepared backup locations demonstrating absolute preparedness in the most unpredictable of times.

At church and the ceremony it was much of the same. Ben fit right in with the bridal party and guests, as if he knew everyone for many years. Once the festivities began, he managed to operate in a manner that you didn't even know he was there, except for the flash of a bulb or click of a shutter. The night can and went and our final pictures were delivered. We could not be happier with what we received and the final product. If you are looking for typically posed photos of guests standing around, this is not what you will see. However, if you want the emotion of the event and every little detail, experience and total candidness captured, Ben and This Is Feeling are the ultimate professionals for you. You cannot go wrong.

One of a kind photos captured forever

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with This Is Feeling. I worked with Ben, the owner, from the beginning and he was phenomenal! There are a lot of wedding photographers out there but I chose This is Feeling because I was interested in one of a kind, real candid moments captured forever. Their photos are like pieces of art and that made them stand out to me above all the other cookie cutter companies. Cost was a very important factor for me and I thought they were extremely reasonable for their artistic talents. I'm actually thankful for Covid as I get to have 2 years worth of photos taken from This is Feeling. They shot my ceremony and will shoot the reception on our one year. I'm already really looking forward to seeing how those will turn out after seeing how beautiful the ceremony pictures are, thank you again!

Outstanding

When I set out to find a photographer for my sister’s wedding I was searching for style more than anything. I wanted moody and intimate. I wanted candid. I wanted photos for my sister that would feel as if they day happened yesterday. Stumbling upon Ben and This is Feeling Photography was like winning the lotto! He made the initial process to easy and friendly. Easy to communicate with, affordable, and with offerings that were different than other photographers. I liked the mix of romantic compositions, warm tones, and also the detail photos of guests hugging or dancing or just laughing. It was perfect! Unfortunately, due to 2020 things, my sister and her fiancé have postponed the wedding but the compassion and understanding from This is Feeling made the blow easier. I would absolutely recommend Ben and the team to anyone looking for photos and video that feel real and honest!

A Perfect Addition to our Wedding Memories

Working with This is Feeling was easy, which is one thing I continuously felt grateful for. The Best Wedding Photographers!

We were very happy with our experience with This Is Feeling Photography for my daughter & her husband’s wedding in Chicago in July 2019. We liked their approach to pricing … Ben helped us develop a custom-tailored package that included just the services we wanted. Our photographers were professionals who captured both the big & small moments. The GIFYYY photo booth was a huge hit at the reception, easy & fun to use. Love them!

We knew going into our wedding that our wedding photographer was the number one vendor that we were willing to “splurge” on because we really wanted great photos to remember our day (especially because we opted out of doing the video thing). Well, we ultimately went with This is Feeling Photography because they had great reviews and the photos on their website looked beautiful, and after meeting with the owner, Ben, we felt even more confident they were the ones to photograph our wedding in a way that captured what we were feeling that day! We ended up having Mike and his assistant photograph our wedding and they did a fabulous job! Amazing vendor! Easy going and professional!

Best day ever!

Ben and the entire team were absolutely amazing to work with. They were very informative and so much fun. We wanted a laid back vibe to show the real party at our wedding! They delivered more than we could ever have imagined. I have gotten nothing but compliments on all of our photos and cannot stop looking at them. Our favorite part(s) about working with This is Feeling is their laid back/honest approach to photography, their personalities, and the sense of trust gained. They helped us figure out exactly what we wanted with our special day, and even suggested ideas for photos/timeline. I would use them time and time again! Awesome experience!

This is Feeling was fantastic; our experience was incredibly positive! We chose them because we thought their past wedding photos looked amazing and wanted someone to capture those special personal moments throughout the day in a candid style. From our first meeting with Ben to working with Mike as our photographer, This is Feeling exceeded our expectations! It was great to meet with Ben at their studio and chat with Stefi and Mike about wanted we wanted prior to both the engagement shoot and wedding day. Both our engagement and wedding photos came out perfect--a great combination of candid and staged photos. In the end, some of our favorite photos were the off the cuff ones of us getting ready or on the wedding shuttle. Amazing Photographs and a Great Experience

When we started looking for for our photographer and videographer, we knew we wanted something that would feel real , emphasizing and capturing that exact moment. We were so impressed by This is Feeling's work that we went a tad above our budget for the package, but we figured we're paying for something that will literally last a lifetime. The process of explaining what we were looking for and what was important to us was easy despite the anxiety of trying to picture an event you've never planned before. It was a fairly stress free experience and there was never a time I didn't feel confident. The reaction we got from family and friends when we started sharing our pictures was overwhelming. Obviously everyone is looking for a photographer to "capture the moment" but This is Feeling *actually* captured amazing photographs, everything from awkward and nervous moments to clear moments of bliss that again, will last a lifetime.

Stunning Wedding Day Photos

We worked with Ben from This Is Feeling and he captured incredibly stunning photos from our wedding day. He was super easy to work with and we honestly loved having him around all day. He was calm, low-stress, but also made sure he got the photos that we wanted and had discussed in advance.

He helped us feel relaxed and really focused on capturing the emotions of the day, rather than posing us in positions or moments that weren't "us" or felt fake. True to the name of the company, he captured so many natural moments that demonstrate how my husband and I were feeling on our wedding day. We are so pleased with our photos. We’d choose him again if we did it all over again!

I ugly cry at my photos because they’re so beautiful

Working with Ben and Misa has been an absolute blessing.
Ben met me in the suburbs (near both of our homes) for an intro meeting and I felt like we just vibed. The man can probably get along with anyone but I felt like he really helped me through the entire process and helped me figure out what our whole wedding vision is. The questions he asks during the process just get down to the core and they truly delivered.

I was paired up with Misa and I felt like he became a friend by the end of the day. He knew exactly what to say to loosen us up and get the best action shots of us. I love our photos and only wish I had more (I received over a thousand photos...more would have been the poor guy snapping every second of the day-obviously impossible- I just love all of the ones we have!). The only down side is that I missed a photo with my entire wedding party outside of the church (granted I never specified that I wanted one) everything went so quickly that I didn't even realize it until 2 days after the wedding.

I urge you to take them seriously when they continuously express the seriousness. Haha.

I just approved my album and even that process was enjoyable. Highly highly recommend.

Best part of our wedding day

We chose This Is Feeling as our photographer after seeing their work and how natural their photographs look. We worked with Misa as our photographer and from start to finish he was incredible. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and learn about our needs and what we were looking for in our photographs. He was very helpful and had great suggestions for photo locations. On the day of our wedding we experienced rain and snow, and Misa still found a way to make every photograph look amazing. When we saw our photos for the first time we were blown away. All of the photos are not just beautiful, but they tell the story of our wedding day which is exactly what we wanted. Our friends and family have commented that our pictures look like out of a wedding magazine, and we couldn't agree more. I would recommend This Is Feeling to anyone who is looking for a premium photographer that will capture their wedding day.

This is Feeling, indeed!

Working with This is Feeling was one of the highlights of our wedding. We made such wonderful relationships with the photographers and team, which allowed them to beautifully capture the joy we felt on our wedding day. We cannot recommend them enough; we felt in every way present on our big day without having to "pose" for stunning photos. They've provided us with such lovely memories to look back at for the rest of our marriage.

Top notch wedding photographer!

We booked This Is Feeling for our engagement photos as well as for our wedding photography, and could not be more happy with the results! I am in the graphics industry so photography was the one vendor I really researched and wanted top notch quality...after all, the wedding photographs are one of the few tangible things you have left following your wedding day, so I definitely recommend TIF for the occasion! Their documentary approach towards wedding photography helped capture the day perfectly, and was the perfect balance of "staged" family photos as well as candid captures of moments throughout the day. We really enjoyed meeting with Ben at the studio in Chicago for both the delivery of our engagement photos as well as the wedding photos, seeing it all on the big screen together for the first time brought back our favorite memories from the day. I wanted a photographer / company that was personable, treated you like a valued customer versus one of many, and thoroughly explained the process and set expectations from the beginning, and Ben was all of that (and more!) from the first phone call through wedding photo delivery. Also Mike, our wedding photographer, had the perfect approach to capturing all of the key photos we identified ahead of time, as well as spontaneous moments that unfolded throughout the day. We would definitely recommend TIF to anyone looking for wedding or other event photography, they were a pleasure to work with and produce the highest quality photography in the industry.

Nothing short of spectacular!

Working with This is Feeling was an incredible experience! From the first day we met Ben, I knew he understood the vision we were going for with our wedding photos. He was open to answering questions whenever we had them, and was so thorough and thoughtful in planning out the photo schedule for the day. I knew we'd have great photos, but I was blown away when I saw all of them after the wedding! Even though we didn't buy a photo album, they still made a short slideshow that was sent when the link to our photos was, and it was so much fun to see! I am still in awe, as are our friends and family, about how beautiful and amazing our photos from This Is Feeling are! My favorite part was having our photographers on the bus with us the day of the wedding, because we were able to stay ahead of schedule and add an extra stop in. It just made everything so much easier to have our wedding party and photographers in one place! Plus, we got to all enjoy tacos together between photo stops.

We could not be more happy with This Is Feeling!! From beginning to end, everyone was so kinda and very helpful! Misa was our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding and he was amazing!! Misa was so easy to work with and captured every part of our big day perfectly! Wonderful experience overall

We had a terrific experience with This Is Feeling Photography. Our initial meeting with Ben was very personable and comforting, as it can be extremely overwhelming to nail down what you want your wedding photographs to look like. Ultimately we were paired with Misa, who was truly wonderful. We had a phone call in the weeks leading up to our wedding that was so easy, like old friends chatting for an hour. I was worried that this pre-emptive phone call as part of the This Is Feeling business model was going to be awkward, but it was very helpful in getting to know Misa, his sense of humor, his warmth, and in him getting to know us. I highly recommend this company because of services like this. By the time Misa came to shoot our wedding, I felt like I already knew him which made everyone that much more comfortable. Misa is also great at both blending in when he needs to, and also helping bring out emotions, laughter, and what he calls the “GQ look” in you when you’re not sure what to do in the more individual or couple photos. He was punctual and professional, and clearly an expert in his field. Our photos came out absolutely beautifully, and we are grateful to Misa for spending the day with us. We highly recommend this company, and if you’re lucky to get assigned Misa, we recommend him most of all.

Wonderful experience and beautiful pictures

We used This Is Feeling for our engagement and wedding photos and we absolutely loved them! We worked with Mike for both occasions and he was the best!

I was nervous for the engagement pictures because my husband and I have never had photos like these done, and we were not sure what to expect. However, Mike is genuine and easy to be around making it so much more comfortable to be taking pictures. The day of our engagement shoot, it was rainy and cloudy but Mike helped us make the most of it, and the pictures came out beautifully. Additionally, throughout the engagement shoot and wedding day, Mike was knowledgable about various locations, which was very appreciated.

When it came time to the wedding, it felt like it was our friend taking the pictures. We felt so comfortable with Mike and really enjoyed having the pictures done. It felt laid back and go with the flow, but there was direction and when needed Mike took charge when dealing with a wedding party of 12. Mike made sure all the pictures and groupings we wanted throughout the day were done and we even added a few in at the end, and it was not a problem!

Overall, we are so happy we decided to go with This Is Feeling and thrilled we got paired with Mike! Definitely recommend!

The photos were just as great as we imagined they could be! From start to end our experience working with This Is Feeling was unique. After talking to many vendors, our first call with Ben was a breath of fresh air. It centered around us as a couple and what we wanted from our special day and the photographs from our special day and how they would make that happen for us. The questions they asked us about each other and our relationship really illuminated our future discussions about our wedding. It made me more excited about our wedding and having This Is Feeling as our photographers. On the wedding day, they were again great at eliciting the true emotions we had for each other in front of the camera through cuing us with different questions. It made taking photos that really looked like us easy. Also, they made sure to capture all the things that were most important to us. Really, if I had to summarize our experience it would be authentic, in our experience with them person to person, in our discussions, and in the way our photos are.

Our experience with This Is Feeling was incredible!
From our initial phone call with Ben, we felt that he understood what we were looking for. We are a laid back couple looking to tell a story with our photos and his team captured exactly that.
Our subsequent phone calls during the planning process ?were great. We were able to ask questions, voice our concerns, and let them know any special details about our wedding that would be helpful.
When the day arrived, our photographer Mike, and his assistant Rob (Harry and Lloyd as we affectionately called them throughout the day), were on time, dressed professionally, and had great attitudes. They made a lot of great suggestions and kept the timeline rolling smoothly. Mike was extremely confident and considerate when working with family members that couldn't seem to cooperate for group photos.
Our actual photos were exceptional. They captured the true feelings in the photos from the smiles to tears and as we look at the photos, we are brought back to those moments during our wedding day.
I would highly recommend This Is Feeling if you are looking for a detail oriented and confident Team. They will help ease the stress of wedding planning and produce pictures you will be proud to show off of your wedding day.

This is Feeling Photography did my sister’s wedding about two years ago and they did such an amazing job--not only did the photographs turn out beautifully, but the photographers were so nice and easy to work with. So, it was an easy choice to book them for our City Hall wedding and I am so glad we did. Ben was great to work with and accommodated my husband’s number one (and pretty much only) request to include our dog in some of our photos. Even though it was bone-chillingly cold on this particular day, Ben trekked throughout the city with us to make sure that we captured our special moment in the most beautiful way. I couldn’t be happier with how our photographs. I would recommend This Is Feeling to anyone and if I ever need a photographer in the future, they are definitely my first choice.

We looked at a ton of photographers for our wedding before landing on This is Feeling. Kevin was our lead photographer and he was amazing! The pictures looked wonderful and captured the day perfectly. He did our engagement and wedding pictures. Mike was the second photographer on the day of the wedding, we were really happy that we got two, we changed our mind later on in the process but TIF made the change easy.

We loved the pictures so much, we also got an album from them. They also put together a slideshow when it came to reviewing the pictures, it was fantastic, I didn't last long before I started to tear up with such happiness. They were able to catch so many moments that I wasn't able to see for myself the day of.

Their attention to detail was just what we wanted and the whole process was great as they truly got to know us as a couple. I would recommend This Is Feeling not just for your wedding but for any photo shoot.

We used Mike from This is Feeling for both our engagement and wedding photography. He absolutely exceeded our already high expectations. The photos are absolutely stunning! And the turnaround was so fast. Everyone told us not to expect the photos back for months. Well, we got them all back the week after we returned from our honeymoon! They look amazing and captured the night perfectly. Additionally, the Giffy photo booth was a huge hit. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I didn't think the photographer was an important part of the wedding. Most of my married friends liked a handful of pictures from the hundreds/thousands taken at their weddings. Rarely were they excited about the finished product. Ben was comforting during the initial interview and understood what we didn't want, they typical stag d/directed shoo. The various calls and questions, at times, seemed too much. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT; they know what they're doing. Dino Mike was AMAZING! We took pictures at various sites and every single one of them brought a smile to my face. Over a thousand pics and I can't think of a single one I don't like. Mike was great to work with, talk to, and blended in with everyone. Save for a few staged (family photos), the other pictures were natural and all, so beautiful. They didn't just capture us, they captured our spirit, feelings, and thoughts. Some of the shots were so unexpected and meaningful, it was a joy to see those gems in the final product. Two months later and I am having the hardest time deciding which pictures to print.

This Is Feeling Photography went above and beyond to intimately capture our special day. From our first meeting with Ben (and his team) when they asked us questions about, not just about our wedding intentions, but our relationship (and we looked like deer in headlights b/c they were questions/concepts we never thought about), we knew we made the correct choice in hiring them. They were beyond professional, actually kept us on track with our wedding planning, and made the concept of taking photos relaxing. I am a nervous posed picture taker, and not once did I feel posed - I just felt like I was hanging out with friends and someone was capturing the moment. Mike and Leah are incredible! We are so happy with the beautiful photos that they took of our wedding on June 23. Friends and family keep telling us how amazing our photos turned out. When I started planning my wedding, I actually thought I might skip the photographer and concentrate on experiencing the day. But This Is Feeling popped up on The Knot and the photographs were so beautiful that I couldn't resist calling. Despite my misgivings about cost and the many wedding photographers I had seen take over weddings with too many posed shots, Ben had me convinced in no time, and I couldn't be happier with the decision! Our photographers, Jake and Tony, were fantastic to work with. They were kind, easy going, and made us (and our guests) feel comfortable. And man, did they capture some amazing shots! The emotions of the day, the personalities of our friends and family, the little moments we didn't even realize were happening -- it's all there in the photos, just like Ben said it would be. And it was just fun. Looking back, my husband and I realized that some our favorite, most romantic time together happened when we were doing our portrait shots with Jake. Quietly and tactfully, he created the space for us to enjoy our wedding day even more, and was capturing the beauty of it all the while. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I think my now husband and I have had more fun looking at our photos than actually being at our wedding! And that's because of Ben and his This is Feeling team. We didn't want photos that were staged--we wanted moments (mainly because we are both very awkward smilers when staged-hah!). When we look at our photos we are truly moved with emotion all over again and immediately remember and feel what it was like being in that room on that unforgettable day in our lives. Ben is a true artist-- calm, cool and quick with his shots and, best of all, you don't even notice him there. You are living in the moment and he is capturing it for you to relive for the rest of your years together. We can not recommend This is Feeling enough.

I can literally not say enough good things about working with Ben and the This Is Feeling team. Ben shot our wedding weekend in Greenville, South Carolina in April 2017. From the get go, communicating with Ben was easy and simple. think what stood out the most (besides the INCREDIBLE photos Ben and team captured and produced) was that he really CARED about us and our wedding day. We became friends. We trusted them and felt so comfortable which is pretty much impossible for an OCD bride planning a destination wedding! Our breath was literally taken away at the slides show This Is Feeling created. A lot of people hire a photographer just for the price or photos, but I truly think it goes beyond that. You want to build a relationship with your photographer to ensure they understand your goals and hopes. Ben did more than that - he shares his tribal knowledge of weddings with us on what is REALLY important, which is the small moments that pass you by in the flurry of a wedding day/weekend. It really makes a huge difference to work with a vendor that you can trust and know they want the best for you - especially in wedding planning. We cannot thank Ben and team enough for capturing our wedding weekend and truly becoming a friend and trusted partner. I thought I was crazy asking a photographer to travel to an out of town wedding - but it was the right decision. If I could give Ben and This Is Feeling Photography 100 stars I would. The most important decision for me on the wedding way was finding the perfect photographer. Ben exceeded our expectations and I can't recommend him enough. The photographs themselves are stunning works of art, but Ben offers much more than just his photography skills. We had an unfortunate mishap with our venue days before the wedding and Ben was the very first person I reached out to and he helped put my mind at ease and used his experience and expertise to help make our wedding day perfect. The day of the wedding he even put together a slideshow so our guests could enjoy some photographs during the reception. It was love at first sight with this photography studio! I knew the moment I saw their work on theknot.com that they were the ones I wanted photographing our wedding, and they lived up to our every hope and dream. They were the only photographers I contacted and we were so lucky to be able to book them. We loved them because their work really shone with genuine emotion and feeling (no pun intended) while all others appeared stiff, posed, and unappealingly planned. Their style is unique in that it's whimsical, artsy, and documentary-like. They capture candid, authentic, beautiful and beautifully organic moments along with some of the more formal portraiture. They were kind, funny, and great to work with during the planning process which was tough because we live out of state and planned from afar. We met our photographers, Jake and Kevin, on the DAY OF the wedding and they were truly out of this world!!! These guys were so nice and easy-going, and while we were overwhelmed by everything that was happening and even a little bit uncomfortable in our own skin, they made the day SO much fun and put us right at ease. I felt myself begin to relax in front of their cameras because they were such good guys and good sports who were clearly also having fun, which only made it more fun for us. They were true professionals and their passion for a good shot was infectious. I absolutely can't wait to see what they came away with from our special day, and only wish we lived closer to the Chicago area so we could take these two guys out for a beer. They were incredible and we can never thank them enough. If you're undecided as to your photographer for YOUR special day, I'd pick this group 1000 times over again. I highly recommend them.

We couldn't have been happier choosing This is Feeling to photograph our wedding. We were drawn to their artistic photography style that seemed to capture the emotion in each photo so well. We worked with Mike and he was awesome! He took the time to get to know us and what was important to us about our special day. The most unique thing he asked is, what do you want to see in your photo album as you look back on it 10-20 years from now. What do you want to capture? And then he truly listened. It made us really think about our day and how important it was to us. He put us at ease in front of the camera which allowed us to focus on each other and all of the emotion surrounding the day itself. Ben captured absolutely incredible moments from our downtown Chicago wedding. Several of our friends used This is Feeling for their wedding photography and had recommended we look into – we immediately knew the caliber we’d be signing up for if we went with them. Pictures and moments – yes, but we had no idea the beautiful art we would be creating. From the engagement photo shoot, communication with their team throughout the process, and the day of the wedding, Ben was a joy to work with and truly a calming presence. We were able to be clear about what we wanted, and our wedding photos were exactly what we asked for – beautiful, candid moments – truly artwork. We watched together and actually cried as we relived all of the moments we didn’t even know existed from that day – it was our story. At the end we looked at each other and commented that this photographer was worth every penny. This is Feeling did an incredible job at my wedding! Ben and his team captured every single moment beautifully. They found amazing landscapes and landmarks all over the city to photograph us. Photography was at the top of our priority list. It was really important for us to be able to capture the heart, spirit, and love throughout our wedding day. We could not have found a better photographer than Ben. We met with a lot of photographers and were struck by the ease in which we could connect with Ben and the approach brought forward from This Is Feeling. Not only was their photography beautiful and matched the artistic style we were looking for, there was also a strong sense of intentionality in relationship building with us, learning our story, and creating space to talk about what was most important for us to be captured. We had a great engagement session with Ben in Chicago, which left us really excited and confident about our wedding photography. Ben was so easy to work with on our wedding day in Madison, WI and brought along a second shooter as well. Thisisfeeling did an absolutely amazing job from beginning to end! We worked with Ben for our engagement and wedding pictures. From the start, Ben really got to know my husband and I which was refreshing and comforting knowing that he would be capturing one of the most intimate moments of our lives. It was important for us not to get your typical “stand here, pose and smile” pictures.

Before our engagement session, Ben met with us in person and really understood what we were looking for – the engagement pictures were fantastic. This made us super excited to see what he would do for our wedding pictures.

Before the wedding Ben set up additional conversations to talk to us about our wedding – everything and anything that was important for us. On the day of our wedding Ben and Eric (our second photographer) did an outstanding job! They felt like part of my family helping make my day special – I didn’t feel like I had “photographers” there, they were an extension of us.

I was super anxious to get our wedding pictures and when we did – I cried like a baby! Thisisfeeling exceeded our expectations (which were already high from our engagement session) capturing intimate moments and emotions throughout the day. It was love at first site with this photography studio! I knew the moment I saw their work on theknot.com that they were the ones I wanted photographing our wedding, and they lived up to our every hope and dream. They were the only photographers I contacted and we were so lucky to be able to book them. We loved them because their work really shone with genuine emotion and feeling (no pun intended) while all others appeared stiff, posed, and unappealingly planned. Their style is unique in that it's whimsical, artsy, and documentary-like. They capture candid, authentic, beautiful and beautifully organic moments along with some of the more formal portraiture. They were kind, funny, and great to work with during the planning process which was tough because we live out of state and planned from afar. We met our photographers, Jake and Kevin, on the DAY OF the wedding and they were truly out of this world!!! These guys were so nice and easy-going, and while we were overwhelmed by everything that was happening and even a little bit uncomfortable in our own skin, they made the day SO much fun and put us right at ease. I felt myself begin to relax in front of their cameras because they were such good guys and good sports who were clearly also having fun, which only made it more fun for us. They were true professionals and their passion for a good shot was infectious. I absolutely can't wait to see what they came away with from our special day, and only wish we lived closer to the Chicago area so we could take these two guys out for a beer. They were incredible and we can never thank them enough. If you're undecided as to your photographer for YOUR special day, I'd pick this group 1000 times over again. I highly recommend them.

Patrick and I could not have been more thrilled with the way Ben and Jacob captured our wedding day. A+++++. They. were. EVERYWHERE. Literally sweating their butts off because our venue's A/C went on the brink, they were always in the right spot catching our emotions, our friends' and families', and the beauty of our venue and it's landscape. During our reception, Ben did not hesitate to grab us for a couple minutes to capture some epic photos just as a storm rolled in. The massive bluish-gray storm clouds behind us in the twilight of our day - these, along with every photo taken, are the reason we love ThisisFeeling. I had an amazing experience with This is Feeling! My (now) husband and I were trying to find a photographer that fit our style while appeasing to our parents idea of "good photography". This was quite challenging considering that we were planning a Chicago wedding while living in New York City. Ben and his team were wonderful! They met with us over various Skype sessions to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. We were worried that our parents wouldn't appreciate some of the stylistic photos and would think they were too "touch feely" (pun intended), but both of our parents absolutely loved every photo!
Kevin did such a great job making sure he got photos that really captured all emotions felt during the wedding! He always maintained professionalism and was able to help us predict where things could get disorganized which made everything work so smoothly on the big day(s). We loved working with him and are bummed that we don’t live in Chicago to grab more beers with him. My husband and I are were pretty awkward and nervous about being in front of a camera, and Kevin made it so easy and natural. The photo slide show continues to bring laughs and tears for anyone we show it to.

I met Ben and Mike at a wedding expo. They had gorgeous display so it was
easy to see how their work turned into something tangible. And they took the time to
speak to each person individually, which truly displayed their professionalism and level of service.

We reached out to them and they had us fill out a little questionnaire
of our expectations for the big day. Ben offered to have is either
come into the studio, Skype, or hop on a phone call to go through our
answers, which really made it convenient for us. About two months out,
we had a second call which was a little more in depth and personal to us as a couple (i.e. what parts of the day we were most looking forward to, etc.) and it was done individually, so they could really get each of our perspectives. This call was to narrow down from their staff who would be the best fit for our goals/objectives for the day and in the end Kevin was chosen as our lead photographer.

The day of, Kevin and Missy, his assistant, showed up ready to work. They really put everyone at ease and were extremely patient with all the complications thrown at them (i.e. young children, huge group formal portraits, other bridal parties at shoot locations, etc.) They really fed off of our ideas and came up with new ones on the spot. They scheduled a "Premiere" following our wedding at their studio where we viewed a slideshow . We knew there were a few gems before we even saw the pictures, but once the online gallery was available to share with our friends and family, it was beyond our expectations. They captured off-beat moments, interesting angles, minute details, and creative dance floor shots that really captured the energy of the day. It is going to be extremely difficult picking our favorites for our wedding photo album to come.

One of the first things my husband and I booked for our wedding day was our photographer. It was extremely important to us to have the day captured and have amazing photographs for us to remember by, especially when the day flies by so quickly. We had received several recommendations from friends for different photographers in Chicago, but This Is Feeling was so unique compared to the rest. As soon as we met with Ben from This Is Feeling we immediately booked him that day. Not only is he incredibly talented but also so easy to talk to and really does try to get a feel of exactly what you are looking for and what is important to you and your significant other. He is not pushy in any way (compared to my prior experience with some other well known photographers) and respects your time and wishes. We did engagement photos to feel him out to know what to expect on our wedding day and help calm our nerves being in front of a camera. He is very laid back and makes you feel at ease and incredibly comfortable. To be honest I didn't even feel like he was there taking pictures- he catches so many amazing candids that really shows your true feelings and expressions at that moment. My husband and I were blown away by our wedding photos. This Is Feeling put a lot of hard work and time to ensure they capture what is important to us, and they did that and more. I would highly recommend booking them!!

After a seemingly endless search for the right photographer, my husband and I finally found what we were looking for with This is Feeling photography. From the very first Skype meeting with Ben, we were certain that he would faultlessly capture every important moment of our wedding day. Of course, when the day finally arrived, we weren’t surprised to see that he’s both a very assidous and composed photographer. Along with our officiant, Ben helped us set the perfect mood for the day, assuring us that we would not have to worry about him. Unlike some wedding photographers we’ve seen during other weddings, Ben was able to skilfully find the perfect balance between being noticeable and being inconspicous. All of our guests remarked that he was very courteous and considerate, and we could not agree more.

As promised, we had access to our photos about 4 weeks after the wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. Although we had already seen a great deal of Ben’s work, we were delighted to see that the photos of our wedding surpassed even our own expectations. The photo montage that was created for our « premier » was extremely touching and deftly put together, and many of our friends who were unable to attend the wedding told us that the montage made them feel as though they had actually been present on the big day.

We consider ourselves very fortune to have found This is Feeling Photography and we continue to sing their praises to both our friends and family. If you’re looking for THE BEST photographer(s) in the Midwest, then look no further !

My husband and I struggled to find a photographer early in our planning process. We were ecstatic when we came across Ben and his team at This Is Feeling. We loved the quality of their past work and the overall feel of their photographs.

My husband and I are not good at posing for pictures, and we prefer more candid and natural shots. Ben and his assistant did just that. They made us feel comfortable and worry free.

Ben communicated promptly and efficiently, and he was open to suggestions (and accommodated them) regarding picture groupings we wanted.

We could not be more pleased with how our photos turned out. They are beautiful, and they really captured the joyous emotions of our wedding day.

Since we were having a destination wedding, we were initially only asking Ben to take our engagement photos.
After one incredible session with him, we ended up flying him to South Beach to capture both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day!

What I loved is that he took the time to take us through our engagement pictures on a big screen to review what pictures we liked best. This way he knew what types of pictures were going to be the most important to us on our wedding day.

Ben makes you feel like he isn't even taking pictures of you. He was able to capture the most important pictures to us in an artistic and authentic way. My favorites were all of the 'in the moment' ones because he was able to capture true emotion and feeling in these pictures.

Not only is he extremely personable, he is organized, professional and an INCREDIBLE photographer!!

He was one of my favorite vendors from our wedding and I could not recommend him enough!!

My best friend even just booked him for her upcoming wedding already!

If you are debating between photographers, Ben is your definite choice!

I could not have picked a photographer. Our wedding photos are perfect. I still tear up when I look at them. The feelings I felt that day are clearly captured. We did not have a forever session with Ben, so our only photo interaction with him was on the day. I am a little shy when it comes to having my photo taken & Ben made me feel so comfortable. I felt like he was an old friend I had known for years.
During the ceremony & the reception, I forgot he was there. Once I saw the photos – I realized he was everywhere. He truly caught it all. Ben left us speechless and in tears after we viewed our wedding photos for the first time. Mike at ThisIsFeeling did such a phenomenal job shooting our wedding. He was so unbelievably helpful in the days and months leading up to our wedding making sure that we and all of our bases covered as far as what moments throughout the day were most important to us and getting us more and more excited about the whole experience. He even went on the walk from our first look spot to the actual wedding location weeks before our wedding day so that he could scout out any potential awesome photo ops along the way. Every couple has to select their #1 thing when they begin planning their wedding. For me there was never a question that the photographer was to be that #1 thing. I wanted someone who could capture the feeling and the emotion of the day in a photo journalistic style, and before even speaking to Ben I knew it was him by the images on his website. During the planning process Ben took the time to get to know my husband and I, to understand our love, and to make sure we were completely comfortable with all the photography details. He was responsive, helpful and dedicated to making our experience, from day one to the day of, a special one.

Ben and Mike were beyond awesome the day of the wedding. My husband and I received so many compliments on how professional and discreet our photographers were. At the reveal we were blown away to see our wedding come to life again in the pictures they captured. They’re not just pictures they’re fine art that is natural and genuine. Ben and Mike captured the emotion, the excitement, the love, and the joy that defined our day. I could not be happier with them! In the post wedding process Ben has been equally attentive and helpful with making our beautiful wedding album. We LOVED having Ben as our wedding photographer. He was so great to work with and such a cool, down to earth guy. When I was looking for a wedding photographer, I didn't want just any ordinary photographer. I wanted someone with a vision and creative style behind their photos. After looking through probably almost a hundred photography sites (not kidding...), I finally saw Ben's photos and loved them. The photography for our wedding was the most important part for me because it's something you have to look at for the rest of your life, so I wanted it to be perfect. Ben did such an amazing job and we loved our wedding photos. My advice is don't hire any ordinary photographer for your wedding; anybody can take a 'nice' picture with a really expensive camera. Hire someone who knows what they're doing and can take amazing pictures. I would recommend Ben to all my friends and family.

My now husband and I absolutely abhor getting our pictures taken, but we couldn’t get around not having a photographer for our wedding. Luckily we found Ben and Mike through, no less, referrals from other photographers. They were able to capture every moment of our wedding and thankfully so because my entire wedding day was a blur for me. It was a great way to reminisce and be surprised by our wedding. My husband and I were entranced with our first reveal as were our family and friends. Ben and Mike were both amazing, accommodating, patient (a must for Indian weddings) and they made everyone feel comfortable (a must for good photographs)! i like photography... my wife LOVES photography. We knew we had to have not just good wedding pics, but we wanted great wedding pics. the pictures will last and help bring back the memories, so we wanted the best photographers we could find. My standards as a bride were very high, I'm seasoned in orchestrating photography for galas, professional events, and have done modeling--out of dozens of professionals I have seen, he's the best I have ever experienced. I did not want hipster, cheesy, or blah wedding photos and he was just the man for the job and offers a good value. What set him apart for my wedding:
- Ben uses top of the line equipment and has a variety of lenses which he carries on him to capture the perfect mood for each moment.
- Ben's masterful lighting skills maximize the latest photographic technology. He created gorgeous lighting which enhances the photos and creates looks ranging from Hollywood glamour, party fun, to romantic warmth. He moved the lighting around discreetly as the event progressed.
- Ben took the initiative to capture meaningful details and also readily incorporated my ideas and direction in the moment. He allowed us room to be creative as a couple.

Ben was great! My photo's were beautiful and I can't wait for my book to be complete. The only thing I would change is that I would have liked him to have stayed at the reception the entire night. Other than that it was great!

We were very happy with Ben from start to finish. When we met for engagement pictures, he was very easy to work with and we instantly clicked. He is great at capturing the little glances and moments - and those are some of the best pictures. Sometimes photo sessions can be forced and just uncomfortable, but Ben is personable, with a great sense of humor, and he also makes you feel at ease to get a natural look.

He provides great customer service. After our engagement photos, we had a phone conference to discuss what we loved, liked, didn't like and wanted more/less of. This type of planning was key to get the perfect wedding pictures for us. Our wedding pictures are absolutely amazing! We love them and will treasure them forever. We took pictures outside by the Chicago skyline and they just look fantastic. There was one in particular where guests commented that it looks like a photo shoot for a magazine - both elegant and artistic. Love them!

Ben also runs a good business. During our photographer search, we noticed a lot of additional "fees" that would be tacked on to the package price like the airlines do, but Ben is different. He provided a clear list for costs, services, and time. He also was able to create a package that fit what we wanted and needed.

I would highly recommend as a wedding photographer. Not only am I a satisfied customer, but if I ever need another photographer, Ben is my first call.

Ben Chernivsky is a fantastic photographer to work with. Not only is he a true artist but he is also a good listener. We felt that he took his time meeting with us and really cared to know what was important to us as a couple. He payed a lot of attention to small detail, along with giving us creative ideas and ways we can capture the right moments of our special day. I've gotten so many great compliments on my wedding album. We had fun and are glad that we chose to work with Ben.

When my husband and I started planning our Chicago wedding from Norway, it was important to us to find a photographer whose style we loved and who could handle online meetings and long distance planning. We decided to go with This is Feeling after a couple of phone/Skype meetings with Ben, and he ended up being our photographer on our wedding day in August. We were so happy with our choice. This is Feeling took care to find out what our expectations for the photographs were, they had good planning tools, and on the magical but very hectic day of, Ben was efficient, professional, friendly, and helpful beyond expectations.

We received our photos about 2 months after the wedding and they are beautiful. Romance, funny moments and memorable details are all in there, we love them.

I'll start out by saying when it was time for Ben to leave my wedding, I cried. I told him that he made such peace out of complete chaos (there was a wedding party of 22 ppl and 4 kids), and his demeanor and kindness and patience meant SO SO much to me. Not only am I kind of a control freak (I'll admit), but with everything going so fast...and me as the bride on crutches, he kept his cool all day long. He had this unique way of getting us to really have genuine reactions with each other and I've never seen or heard of another photographer doing that? He spent a ton of time with us beforehand getting to know us (through his discovery calls--don't worry, if you aren't a talker...he doesn't push you). But even my husband who HATES HATES HATES taking pictures said he really liked his style and professionalism. I LOVED these pictures....honestly if I ever have any major life event again, I'm calling Ben. A few of my friends have already said they want to use his services for their wedding. LOVE this man! So sad its over!

I am blown away. When I found their website, I felt like they were a good fit for us and when we met them in person, that only confirmed it. But, I never, ever thought I would get photos like this! Thank you, Mike for capturing every special moment that was had. They were everything I wanted and more: artistic, intimate, candid and beautiful.

I am so glad we sat down with them that first time to talk through everything and so glad we followed their lead the day of - their work is outstanding! Not to mention they were just a joy to have around us on our special day.

From our very first phone call, This is Feeling made us feel like their most important client. They listened carefully to what we wanted and worked hard to deliver exactly that. When there were little changes needed, they did them quickly and happily. We'd absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to get a great set of photos.

The Most Fun People with the Best Eye!

Ben and the team at This Is Feeling could not have captured our day more perfectly. Every photo is simply stunning, as is our video! We could not be more thrilled that they captured not only so many gorgeous moments, but the small, candid ones too. They are true professionals in every sense!

Highly Recommend!

I really loved working with This Is Feeling for our wedding. Our original wedding date had to be postponed due to COVID, and they were extremely understanding and worked with us to secure a new date so we could keep them as our photographers. They were extremely thorough in gathering all of the information up front on what kind of photos we were looking for, important groups of people we wanted to have captured, our own personal preferences, and a lot more details so I felt confident from the beginning that they understood exactly what we wanted. Their photographer that was assigned to us really took time to get to know us and it made me feel a lot more comfortable before our wedding day.

Working with them on our wedding day was absolutely seamless - they were able to capture so many candid moments that I didn't even know happened, so it was amazing to get the pictures back and be able to relive the day. The photographers listened to everything we wanted, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their photographers are kind, professional, creative, and extremely talented - I'm glad I completely trusted them to scout locations at our venue because our photographer picked out places I never would have, and the photos are amazing. Their unique style is unlike other wedding albums I've seen, so we'll cherish these photos forever.

For me, photographer was the most important wedding vendor to choose! There are no do-overs on this, which means you're putting a lot of trust in someone to get it right. I knew that photos would serve as the most tangible reminder of our wedding day. We made some wonderful memories, but we were also living in the moment and there was too much happening for us to take in all the little details!

I'd never heard of This Is Feeling before, but knew I wanted documentary-style wedding photos. I loved the emotions that were captured in so many of their portfolio photos. We met with Ben at the studio to confirm that this was going to be a good fit. Their artistic style is not for everyone, and they're smart to screen each couple beforehand.

After getting to know us, Kevin was assigned to be our photographer. He was a great listener during our calls and took note of what was important to us. He was flexible and willing to work with our schedule and location plans, but also great with input on what would look good. He helped guide us into natural poses and had a great eye for composition and lighting. During the ceremony and reception, he and Misa were like silent photo ninjas working in the background to capture big moments without being in the way.

In the end, I'm so happy with our choice. We got plenty of family portraits to please our parents and tons of great candid shots that make me smile. The photos we received were stunning! I'm still blown away by what Kevin did with the available lighting from the streetlights during our night photos. We love looking through them all and remembering the excitement and joy of our wedding.

P.S. If you can swing it, I recommend booking an engagement shoot with them. It's a chance to get to know our photographer (and him, you) so you're not strangers on the big day. It also gives you an opportunity to provide feedback on what you do/don't like, so you're getting the photos you want!

?For every bride and groom, finding the person who will capture your special day is a profoundly important moment. For my husband and I, finding a photographer who was truly an artist was one of our top priorities. We knew we wanted someone to capture the moments of the day... We didn't care about the cheeky poses that hang above the proverbial mantle. We wanted feeling and love. That's how we got turned on to the phrase "documentary photography." This real-life, real-motion work was exactly what we were looking for.

As far as finding the perfect artist, I had an amazing wedding planner (Shannon Gail) who gave me a number of suggestions, but I am lucky enough to have a friend who was previously a wedding photographer, so when I went on my hunt to find my photographer, I started with the suggestions she had given me. When suggesting Ben (This Is Feeling), she defined him as an artist and said his aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for. She could not have been more right. His work was everything we wanted.

Ben made every step of the photo process so blissful. Our engagement photos were STUNNING and we had a blast shooting them. The questions he asked and we answered in the months that followed helped to build a strong connection that carried over onto our wedding day.

On the day of our wedding, Ben brought that amazing calm vibe and we all felt it. He did his thing... Sometimes we knew he was taking photos and other times we didn't. He knew how to capture the essence of our day, and we trusted him with that. My husband and I actually only had about 15 minutes to take portraits with Ben, but we knew he would get some beautiful shots even in limited time.

Seeing our photos for the first time was beyond surreal. We truly relived the most perfect day of our lives through Ben's lens. I can't speak highly enough about Ben and This Is Feeling. The photography is artistically beautiful, yes, but it's also meaningful, thoughtful, and honest.

We had an amazing experience with This is Feeling and with Ben. We used Ben for both our engagement and wedding day photos and both far exceeded our expectations. Ben and his team did an amazing job truly capturing the emotions felt during the wedding! This was very important to us as we knew the wedding day would be such a blur. However looking back at our pictures we are able remember just how amazing and happy the wedding day was. Ben was very professional and friendly at the same time which made us and our wedding party feels so comfortable the day of the wedding. Ben was able to help us make everything went smoothly and we kept to our desired schedule! He had wonderful recommendations for unique places in the city to take picture which all turned out so amazing. I would highly recommend Ben and his team!

As someone who doesn't like their picture getting taken, I was very picky about a photographer. I knew I needed someone that got my smart-ass sense of humor and could make me feel comfortable. My husband and I are a pretty goofy couple who crack jokes constantly and needed someone we could feel like ourselves around. Kevin did the most amazing job and was so readily available when I needed help or had any questions.

We will always treasure the beautiful photos we have from our wedding day.
Ben shot our engagement photos in Chicago & was more than willing to travel to Nebraska to also shoot our wedding! He took time to get to know us & learned quickly the sort of style we expected to see in our photos. For the engagement session & wedding day he went the extra mile to seek out the best places to stage our photos & was so flexible to work with everyone involved.
I would recommend him to anyone!!

This is Feeling was a great fit for what my wife and I wanted in terms of wedding photography. Firstly everyone from TIFP were polite, professional, and took the time to get to know us individually as well as a couple. Even at the beginning of the process the extensive interview made me feel that they wanted to match what we wanted rather than what they wanted to show. I could tell they truly listened to what we wanted/not wanted and fully delivered on the actual wedding day.

On the actual wedding day, everything was already organized and discussed which meant we didn't have to micro-manage anything that Kevin and Jacob already had planned. I couldn't appreciate enough that they even didn't push for cliche photos that everyone does, (everyone knows those lame wedding photos that look too posed or fake and TIFP made sure there was none of that) which made my wife and i feel greatly appreciated! I didnt feel rushed nor did I feel like they were taking their time. Both photographers were great with on the fly opportunities throughout the day and have a great idea of how to get the best lighting. The candid photos turned out great and the overall experience was exactly what I expected, not to mention the pricing was very reasonable.

The final products were great, and we have long lasting memories that we can re-live every time we open our album. They were clear, not too artsy and weird/abstract. I strongly recommend TIFP to anyone who is looking for professional photographers.

Ben is just an amazing photographer. He's got a vision, he's creative, he's willing to go out of the box for a super cool photo...and he comes at a great value.

Ben shot our June wedding and after our amazing engagement shoot, I was itching to get our wedding photos. And he did not disappoint. He caught emotions, colors, the overall vision...all things that were very important to my husband and I.

If you hire Ben, he'll provide you with a fill-in-the-blank about your personality and vision. Take your time and do this. It's worth it and really helps him nail the day.

I just wished I would've timed him a little better. Because he spent all day with the girls (shooting us getting ready, etc.) his 12 hours was up an hour before our reception ended...and I wished he was there til the end!

But I'd hands down recommend Ben for anyone looking for photos that aren't just your standard wedding shots. He goes over and beyond.
