From the moment we met David, we knew our ceremony at Boldt Castle would be in the most caring and capable hands. He took the time to know our love story — not just the details, but the heart of it — and from that, he crafted a ceremony that was as romantic and timeless as the castle itself.

On our wedding day, beneath the towering stone walls and surrounded by the shimmering waters, David spoke with such warmth, elegance, and grace that it felt as though we had stepped straight into the pages of a romance novel. His words wrapped around us like poetry, and every moment felt touched by magic. The ceremony flowed effortlessly, filled with emotions we — and our guests — will cherish forever.

Our guests still tell us it felt timeless, as if they had stepped into a living fairytale, and many said it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever witnessed. We will forever be grateful for the care, thought, and love David poured into making it so special.

Friendly, professional, and thoughtful! HIGHLY recommend

David was thoughtful, friendly, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired him in February for our June wedding after contacting several other churches and officiants that just didn't feel right. David was quick to respond to our inquiry and set up a meeting right away. He spent over an hour getting to know us, helping us with our processional, and running through his ceremony flow. He had some unique local touches to suggest for the ceremony and we were happy to incorporate them. He gave us many suggestions for readings and vows as well, and he made the ceremony formal, special, and personal for us. He sent us the whole written ceremony about a week ahead of time so we were able to make any edits and read through it so we knew what to expect. He made sure to remind us about the marriage certificate a few times and took care of mailing it out for us on the following Monday. We were so glad we hired David to officiate our wedding and would highly recommend him.

Amazing Officiant!

We knew we wanted to hire David after our initial conversation with him. He was extremely adaptable to the ceremony we wanted and asked so many questions to make sure he understood what we were looking for. He also provided suggestions for things we might add that we had not even thought of! Not only that, but he was genuinely pleasant to talk to and we could tell he had the type of presence you would want around on your wedding day.

When David sent us the draft of our ceremony a couple of weeks before our wedding, it was even better than we could have imagined. He fit in so many details that we mentioned and covered everything we wanted him to. The ceremony felt custom and perfect for us.

On the day of the wedding, we were hit with an unusually hot and humid day making it quite uncomfortable (it was an outdoor ceremony). Despite this, David remained extremely professional and delivered our ceremony flawlessly. We had many guests tear up during the ceremony and tell us how wonderful it was afterwards (even those who are more accustomed to 'traditional' religious ceremonies)!

We are so glad we hired David for our wedding! He took all of the stress out of the ceremony and prepared something perfect for us. We highly recommend him!

David is the best!

From David's initial response via email when we were looking for an officiant, almost a year ago, we knew we were in good hands. He was super responsive, professional and very helpful. He occasionally checked in as the months passed to remind us to get our wedding license and to confirm the date, time and address of the wedding. On the wedding day, he was prompt, prepared and dressed nicely in a suit. During the ceremony his delivery was smooth and polished, well-prepared and just what we were looking for; not too long, not too short, non-denominational and uplifting and emotional. Such a great guy. Rest assured, you can't go wrong choosing David.

The Only Choice!

David was astounding! He put together amazing material and personalized it, he took care of sending the marriage license for us so we had one less worry, he was great with guidance and being patient with us knowing how nervous we were and trying to adapt to an ever changing mood of a toddler mid ceremony. There was not a dry eye in the house and I can’t thank him enough. The communication from day one to day after was incredibly important and he was there for every step and answered every question. Our guests couldn't stop talking about David.

David is a true professional and our wedding ceremony would not have been as special as it was without him. He worked with us in customizing a ceremony that was unique and reflected our values and beliefs. After the ceremony was complete, he disappeared from the altar and made sure that our pictures only featured me, my husband, and our wedding party-such a pro move! Use this officiant!

David was SO wonderful to work with! My husband is Catholic so we wanted a traditional ceremony which still felt personal and David exceeded our expectations in every way. He interviewed us and then wrote the most beautiful vows I have ever heard. I cried when I read them and had to practice so that I would not weep through our ceremony. He was professional, reaponsive, friendly and reasonably priced. Don't look for any other options, David is the BEST. We feel lucky that he married us!

Dual Vow Renewal 10/26/19

From the very first call with David we knew we chose the right officiant for our ceremony. Our friends wanted a ring blessing for their renewal and my husband and I chose to write our own vows. Great, personalized Ceremony

We had David write and perform our wedding ceremony in June 2019. David put together a perfect ceremony for us that truly represented us as a couple. We are a couple that were able to get married in a church but weren't really pulled to have a full catholic wedding. David was able to put some religous aspects into our ceremony while also keeping it to only 15-20 minutes. He gave us suggestion on reading and vows but when we went outside his suggestions he beautifully incorporated them in. I highly recommend David, he was able to do our ceremony without a microphone, with a solid and calm voice and was very sharply dressed. He showed up on time and made sure everything was set with our marriage license before leaving and handled sending it in. We had a great day and David helped make it everything it was.

Perfect ceremony!

David was fantastic. We had a very simple wedding, and David had many options for us to choose from for our vows. We even asked to edit some of the vows to reflect us a bit more, and he changed them immediately. He came for both our rehearsal and the ceremony, and really did an amazing job. I wouldn't change anything about the ceremony, and David had a great deal to do with that.

From the start, he spent time getting to know us and finding out what we wanted in our ceremony. He had some ideas for us to personalize it. After receiving our draft ceremony, we asked him to make a few changes to quotes or readings. He had sent a list of many options to use and quickly revised the draft for us. During the ceremony, he was personable and professional. He went over everything with us before the ceremony as well. Really happy that we chose David!!

David was great! We live in South Carolina and were planning a wedding in upstate NY. David set up a Skype session so we could meet him and went over all our options and gave us some ideas on things we could incorporate into our ceremony. He was there at our rehearsal to go over everything and was very organized and detailed. He described to us how everything would go and I felt very comfortable with how the ceremony would go the following day. The ceremony was great and everyone had wonderful things to say about it! My husband Bart and I contacted David less than 3 months from our wedding date when we had some last minute changes and needed to find a new officiant. We live across the country from where we were getting married and picking the right officiant for us was one of our biggest concerns. David was amazing. He will schedule a skype meeting with you so that he can get to know you and your future spouse and he writes a ceremony that is so in tune with who you are as a couple. He was great at making recommendations as well as taking in what you want in your ceremony. I received so many compliments on how beautiful everyone thought our ceremony was. It was the perfect length as well. He sends you a copy of your ceremony to review the week before and is very accommodating to any changes you might want made. Not being particularly religious, my wife and I were in search of an officiant for our wedding ceremony who we would not only be comfortable with, but who would deliver a heartfelt ceremony on our behalf. With David Viggiani, we found both. He took the time to incorporate what we wanted for our ceremony, was willing to make adjustments to anything that didn’t “feel right” for the two of us, and crafted a ceremony that was unique and personal.

It was our pleasure to have him be a part of our wedding. He made us instantly comfortable, had pertinent suggestions for all portions of the ceremony, and took the worry out of finding someone who could make the ceremony personal without feeling like it was forced or had been written for dozens of other couples.

David was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in an officiant. She's Catholic and I'm Jewish, and we both live in New York City, so there were a lot of concerns we had on (A) finding someone in CNY/WNY area that we liked, and (B) finding someone who could conduct/create a ceremony that fit both our belief systems and kept our families happy.

We found David online, and immediately after our first Skype session, we knew he was perfect for us. We felt very comfortable with David putting together the ceremony to our preferences, but the most frustrating part for us was that we didn't really know what we wanted. Thankfully, David was patient and interested in getting our POV, as well as learning some personal info to make the ceremony for personable.

For the rehearsal (our first in-person meeting), he was great. David kept things in order, didn't stress out the anxious situation more than it needed to be, and really created a great environment for our wedding ceremony. On wedding day, again, David was calm and cool and collected, and his oversight and organization really kept things smooth and easy.

Overall, I would definitely recommend David for a wedding ceremony as the officiant. Distance, religious beliefs, and nerves/anxiety of the bride and groom did not affect him in any way. And, from the feedback we received from friends and family, not only did they enjoy the ceremony, but there were elements that were included, introduced by David, that they hadn't seen before...and liked it a lot.

Let David be your wedding officiant, and you won't be disappointed. We are very happy we found him online, and you should take the extra few minutes searching to find him too.

David was a lifesaver! We got married out of state so we didn't have a church officiant or even acquaintance to marry us. Most of my friends' marriages were conducted by a family friend or official of their church they'd attended since birth. I was nervous of having a stranger marry us, but after finding David on Wedding Wire, I was instantly relieved! What first drew us to him was his appearance - he looked like the spitting image of someone we envisioned marrying us! A seasoned professional with cheery eyes, and a beaming smile. Furthermore, he was respectful of any religion, offering non-denominational ceremonies as well. I am not religious, but my fiance is and David was able to craft a ceremony script that appeased both of us! We filled out a survey about us: how we met and those things that make us special. From this, he created the perfect reading and vows. He offered as much or as little personalization as we wanted - writing vows from scratch to choosing examples used in the past. In the end, we felt the reading was perfect for us. David showed up on time, worked seamlessly with the DJ to coordinate the music with the procession, and ready loudly and clearly - no need for a mic. Several people asked us where we found him!! Miscommunications

I first reached out to David and there was some confusion over his availability - first he wasn't available, then he was. After a week of thinking he wasn't available, he reached back out and said he was. We Skyped and got along well, we were very excited. We wanted a low-key, non-religious ceremony. We talked for a good hour about what we wanted and didn't want, I felt confident. We filled out the survey and I felt he knew a lot about us. We paid the deposit, and I was told we would get the ceremony 2 weeks before our wedding. 9 days out, I hadn't heard anything - so I reached out and asked about the ceremony (I wanted to make programs so I wanted to know before I ran out of time). He said he would get it to me by the weekend. I finally received the ceremony on Monday morning; 6 days before our ceremony. Reading through it, I was disappointed - I feel like he didn't listen to what we said during our first conversation, or really use anything from the survey. So I made tracked changes edits via Google Docs (his method that he gave them to me) and sent it back to him. I received an email back "got it". I just took his word on it, and moved on. I should have confirmed the ceremony with him, but the day of, we didn't do a first look so I wasn't at the ceremony site. I didn't see him until I walked down the aisle. I was a little upset by his outfit - he was wearing a seemingly multi-cultural/religious stole for our non-religious ceremony (if this is important to you I suggest talking attire; we did not! So that's on me). But quickly we realized; he was reading his original unedited ceremony. We were absolutely gutted standing up there; but there wasn't anything we could do. I realize this was a miscommunication on both of our parts, I should have pressed harder when I got his confirmation. Aside from that, his officiant style isn't something I liked. Most of the ceremony was word for word from Officiant Eric's website, which made me feel like we should have just done it ourselves and saved $400+. To top it off, I was frustrated that David left during cocktail hour without saying anything; he had RSVP'd yes and we paid for a dinner/open bar for him - yet he didn't stay. The following Monday I got an email asking for final payment (which we would have done at the reception; he just ghosted so we were unable!), no explanation on why he up and left. It wasn't worth the headache to talk about renegotiating the price so I just paid it to be done with it all. Overall, I was very upset.
