Brian was incredible to work with every step of the way. He took over an hour of his time to discuss our vision for our wedding and our needs before creating a personalized quote for us.
It was amazing that he includes an engagement shoot with his package. This allowed us to learn how he works and get our nervous jitters out as well as build confidence that we actually can take cute photos. He also was able to make location recommendations to us and clearly is familiar with the Hampton Roads area and knew so many beautiful hidden spots.
I had concerns that he did not have a second shooter, but he does not need one. He was able to be everywhere all at once. I'm not sure how he was able to get all the shots he got of us from different angles, all while being completely non-obtrusive. My dad made several comments about how he must have been standing right next to him based on the camera angles, but he doesn't remember seeing him at all. He just blended right into the background while capturing all of the important moments.
In the days before the wedding, he spent over another hour on the phone with us going through the plan to make sure he knew exactly what our expectations were. He arrived at the venue before us to take photos of everything beforehand. Then split his time perfectly between the girls and guys getting ready shots.
During our extended cocktail hour, I was very anxious about where we stood on time, and he was reassuring that everything was going exactly as it needed to. He was incredibly organized with his shot lists and clearly put a great deal of prep time into getting ready for our big day. He was flexible in working around my grandmother's limited mobility in allowing us to get amazing photos with her.
We wanted to go to a second location during cocktail hour and he was completely on board and worked with the venue to get them on board with us leaving our guests unattended for 90 minutes. We did our private vows at that location and he was very unobtrusive while we did them. He captured so many sweet moments of our personal vows (again while making himself completely invisible so that we had that moment completely to ourselves).
During the reception, I was anxious again about the timeline, but he kept reassuring me that it was our day and we can do whatever we wanted to do. He was also incredible with my nephew and humored him while he followed him around all night pretending to be his assistant.
His turnaround time is incredible. He provided us with a sneak peak of photos the very next day, which was so amazing to have photos to share so quickly. Several people commented that they couldn't believe how quickly we got our photos back and my mom's jaw literally dropped when she saw the beautiful photos he had sent us.
I loved his process for releasing the photos. He set up an online gallery and posted them in little chunks, so it wasn't overwhelming to look at them all and it was several days of excitedly looking over the photos. We got our first big set of photos less than two weeks after the wedding, then the rest over the next few days. He encouraged us with every set of photos to give him feedback and made sure that they were to our satisfaction. Once all the photos were in our temporary online gallery, he mailed us a physical drive of the photos (actually four sets, one for us, and three for our parents). The drive included a 25+ minute video montage of our photos set to music and over 900 photos. There were also over 200 additional photos that were not in our gallery preview.
I love that he gives you free reign with the photos to print them anywhere and doesn't require you to print from him. The flash drive he sent includes a photo release form.
Overall, Brian was incredible to work with and I strongly recommend 33 Photography. He wanted to make sure that he showed off the unique aspects of our wedding and ensure that he was meeting our expectations in upholding our vision every step of the way. -

Brian was really a joy to work with! He came prepared and his methods worked really well for us!
We were looking for a chill photographer who was easy to work with, ready to go with whatever the day brought, and had ideas to contribute as well.
Brian fit all of those and more! He brought example photos for poses, was able to manage the crowd of family and bridal party, and managed to make photos one less thing on my plate as the day progressed.

Brian is simply the BEST! He did so much to help us facilitate an amazing wedding day. He offered several consultation/planning calls throughout the planning process and gave us so much great advice. He worked seamlessly to coordinate with our other vendors and helped us move through some unexpected mishaps that occurred throughout the day. The photos we got are breathtaking and captured our special day so well. We have access to an online gallery as well as 3 flash drives with an extended gallery and slideshow of the day. We opted out of hiring a videographer, so the slideshow is a really nice alternative. We had lots of fun with some custom Star Wars scenes, sunset lighting, bubbles, and more. We highly recommend choosing Brian to capture your special day! -

Brian was INCREDIBLE from start to finish. He has such a talent and you can tell he cares about his work from his professionalism to his quality of work. It's crazy what he's able to achieve.
We had about an hour long conversation to kick things off, he gave us a free engagement photo session which really warmed us up to the experience of being photographed. We had a silly engagement session, very fun, he was down to go off script but he utilizes your sample photos mainly to make sure you get the shots you want.
For our wedding he brought smoke cans, light stands, and photoshopped some crazy stuff in for us. He definitely understood the assignment! OH YEAH, and on a BROKEN TOE I might add. After the wedding he sent us USBs, enough for each of our parents to have one as well, with the photos and a nice video of photos in succession. He was very accommodating to our silly photoshop requests - he was actually really pumped for it! He reached out to me to make sure he had the right 'power blast' references because we're nerdy and he respects that.
If you want a photographer that makes you feel like you've been buds for a long time, does INCREDIBLE work, is diligent, makes you feel like you got a steal, and leaves you with memories that will last forever, Brian's your guy! -

Creative & strong communication
Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with! Communication was strong the entire time. I reached out to him on very short notice and was in between doing a court house wedding or a small intimate backyard wedding. Brian was able to pivot with my intimate ceremony and brave the brutal heat (it truly was the hottest day of the summer). Brian remained professional and captured every moment and picture that I requested. At the end of mine and my husbands photos we did fast pass photos with friends and family and Brian rounded them all up for us. My husband was THRILLED with his Star Wars photos which is what caught his eye when we were looking for a photographer. Brian got a special little request from our nephew and he honored it with his red lightsaber. (It’s the little things that matter the most!) -

I’m beyond grateful for the incredible work Brian did for our vow renewal. From start to finish, his communication and availability were absolutely top-notch. But what truly stood out was how he went above and beyond on the day of our ceremony. Unfortunately, it poured rain on our special day, forcing us to relocate everything at the last minute and preventing us from using the beautiful venue we had chosen. Without hesitation, he offered to speak with the venue on our behalf and arranged a second shoot on a sunny day, completely at no extra cost to us. He gave us extra hours of his time, purely out of generosity and commitment to making sure we had the photos we dreamed of. The photos and video turned out absolutely stunning, capturing the emotion, the details, and the magic of our day perfectly. We are extremely happy and satisfied with his service. Brian was amazing to work with! We have never really had professional photos taken before, so were a little nervous about that, but he made it totally fun and easy. Great, fast communication throughout. Many of our guests told us they really liked him too, nice and easy to talk to, they too were comfortable being photographed. He got a handful of pictures to me right away, to hold me over until he finished the package. I loved that! We had our full set of photos within a few weeks, a timeline that felt totally fair. I love all of the beautiful pictures taken that day, the candid shots, the staged ones all of them. I felt the rate was reasonable, and he even cut us a little break at the end, as our 3 year old daughter had the most epic of meltdowns during the ceremony, which the aftermath prevented us with the time and opportunity to get all the formal shots we had wanted, having to take turns tending to her and getting her settled (there is a fun memory hahaha). But he made it work and we couldn't be happier, and plan to book him in the spring for a family photo session.

Brian was amazing! He’s not a pushy photographer who will ask you to do a pose you don’t like. Prior to the engagement and wedding, he asked for some inspo pictures and he had it printed during the sessions. Our guest loved how hands-on he was with us! They said it was easy to do the pictures because he has a printed copy to show them. Our wedding started a little bit late and he was very patient about it. And we love how he angles and edits the picture! -

The engagement and wedding photos were absolutely stunning. Brian is super professional and helped narrow down locations for the engagement shoot. He also has couples send inspo photos they’d like. You can be as interactive or as formal as you choose. Same went for the wedding shoot. It gives your bridesmaids and groomsmen more comfort when posing too. The photos from my wedding are something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Oh! And the flash drive he delivers the photos on is stunning. The entire experience with Brian was phenomenal start to finish. I haven’t had a chance to download my wedding photos, but feel free to look at the engagement photos. -

Best experience we could hope for!
We had a themed wedding, and this photographer went all in with us to set up shots to really capture what we wanted! He spent time with us on multiple video calls, and in-person, to help guide us to get exactly what we wanted. He loves getting feedback and getting inspiration so he can plan shots that capture different aspects of the couple. We not only got engagement photos, but also all of our photos were set to music on the jump drive he gave us, which basically made it like a video of our wedding (we did not use a videographer). Truly an exceptional experience, and if you are fan of fantasy/anime/steampunk/etc., this is the photographer for you! -

I cannot recommend Brian enough. He was absolutely an amazing person to work with and he was very accommodating. At first, I was nervous especially since our wedding was at the local aquarium and I was afraid the pictures would either be too dark or too bright for the fish and we wouldn't be allowed to take photos. Not only did the photos come out amazing but he even helped us with a special request to do a photoshoot separately with our dogs since they could not be at the aquarium. I cannot thank him enough for making our day special so hopefully this review and amazing photos help. -

Most Amazing Experience Ever!!

Brian was phenomenal to work with! He was our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos. He was extremely flexible and very creative. I interviewed three top photographers in the area and it was VERY clear that Brian was our man. I wanted someone that was going to be a great listener and take heed to my requests but also a great communicator. Someone who was going to be talented but yet be able to work alone with out direction because after all it is my wedding and I wanted to enjoy it to its fullest.
Brian over exceeded on all levels. Our engagement shoot was phenomenal and further proved to me that he was the right choice. He worked hard making sure the shots I wanted would be completed and even added some I didn’t think of, that ultimately came out to be top picks.
During the year of planning Brian stayed in constant contact with me. He would reach out PRIOR to me reaching out and took the lead at guiding us in what to do next for planning the photography.
The ceremony and reception was a fairytale. Brian added to this dream come true by taking his talents and incorporating them in EVERY SHOT. The day of was phenomenal and he was always by my side but yet never invasive, and even today looking back I still don’t know how I never knew he was there. He’s a ninja and a VERY talented one at that.
I would hire Brian again and again for my wedding. The decision to work with him was 121% the best decision I made when planning my wedding. And, I will absolutely be hiring him for future projects.

Cannot recommend highly enough!
There are not enough positive words to describe our experience with Brian. He is personable, professional, organized, and accommodating (just to name a few). Prior to the weeding her took time to meet with us and get a feel for what we wanted in our pictures as well as made recommendations for photos we hadn’t even considered. He communicated with us effectively and efficiently leading up to the time of our wedding. We had an outdoor wedding and I know I drove him nuts with questions about the weather and what-ifs. He never seemed phased or lost his cool. He assured me the day would be perfect no matter what and walked me though various options.
Leading up the wedding he worked with us on a wedding day schedule and kept everyone on task. We were able to get every picture we wanted plus more! At the reception he was everywhere and captured everything, he is a photography ninja!
After the wedding he got us our photos back in less than 2 weeks. During this editing time he sent us sample pictures and uploaded photos to a sneak peak gallery so we could see his editing progress. I found this extremely impressive considering he was actively shooting other weeding during this time.
10+/10 would recommend Brian every time! -

Highly recommend
We could not have been happier with the amazing job Brian did on our wedding day and beyond. We absolutely love all of the gorgeous photos we got back. We are not models by any means (lol) but he did an amazing job with posing options and direction for both the engagement shoot and wedding photos. Scheduling with him was easy, even with my husband and I’s busy schedules, he helped significantly with our timeline for the day, and worked incredibly well with our coordinator. Our big day was outdoors the day we lost an hour for daylight savings. Since we had limited daytime and did not want to see each other before the ceremony, he came back out to the venue with us another day where we were able to have a second shoot again to get more photos together at the beautiful venue and all it had to offer. We received a few photos the next day, and online album with a huge amount of finished photos and the cutest flash drives of everything in a very quick turnaround time. To top it all off, he always carried and “emergency kit” that had all kinds of things like a crochet hook for buttoning, safety pins, etc. that are often needed and forgotten one the day (like we did). Would highly recommend him as he goes above and beyond and we could not be more thankful!! -

Brian's laid back, friendly, and easy to work with. We didn't have a large wedding or lots of flair, so not a ton of wedding photo ops like you'd see with some other weddings, but he still managed to capture all the details and make it special. I love that he even made sure to capture every guest in attendance so our album is full of love!!! His response time was fast for any questions, as well as with getting our photos back to us in a lovely keepsake. And he included digital copies for our parents - a thoughtful touch! We'd happily recommend him again and again. I've included a photo of two of the pictures he did - our engagement and wedding. -

If you hold any reservations or doubts on who to choose for your own special day, please know that Brian is literally THE MAN who will make it his goal to go above and beyond to memorialize your day in photos and slideshows and to make it seem so flawless and effortless (and we all know weddings are never either of these things)! From the very beginning, during the height of COVID, he sold himself and his love for capturing weddings, starting with a long phone conversation describing the different packages he offers, as well as sharing his love of photography and for capturing a moment of your own history, for you to hold on to and pass down to your many family members. He also sent me recommendations for other vendors I was still in need of, such as videographers, DJ's, etc, and I'm so glad I listened to his recommendations, as they all worked so seamlessly together! He answered all of our questions quickly, and his humor, enthusiasm, and love of photography was evident and welcomed. The turn-around time for receiving our engagement photos, and wedding flash drives (for my husband and I, PLUS both sets of parents) was crazy fast! He even sent us a link to see our wedding photos as he got each set of photos edited and done (within a week and a half of our wedding), which I never expected! He was so excited by a handful of photos, that he had already sent us four completed photos within days of our special day, and I was astounded at the level of quality these photos possessed while capturing our love and excitement! Brian was incredible to work with! I came into wedding planning clueless and new to the area. He was very helpful, friendly, and professional through the whole process! Started with an in-person meetup to learn more about his work and decide if he was the right fit for us. Having the engagement session included in the package was AMAZING and let us get more comfortable working with him before the big day. We had our dog in the engagement pictures, and he was GREAT with her and very patient. We received the engagement pictures so fast! Leading up to the wedding he kept everything simple for me. Had me send the list of must-have pictures and walked me through how the day would go. On the wedding day, he crushed it! He was so personable and great to talk to throughout the day! Everything went so smooth with the pictures (both before the ceremony and after). The family kept saying how impressed they were with how efficient he was with the pictures. I have a big family, and they were done with pictures within 10 minutes after the ceremony! I love that they got to enjoy cocktail hour, and we weren't rushing for pictures. We got a few preview pictures by the next day and started getting more on our online album like a week or two after the wedding... so fast! I loved that he didn't put all the pictures in the online album so we would be surprised with some new pictures when we got the flashdrive. Not only did we get a flashdrive with both the online and print version of the pictures, he also included a slideshow video with the pictures that took us through our whole day! We didn't hire a videographer, so this was a beautiful touch! Each of our parents also received a flashdrive with everything. It's been 2 months since the wedding, and people are STILL talking about how stunning all the pictures are. He did a perfect job capturing our big day! Brian went above and beyond our expectations. -

Wow! Just wow!
Brian is absolutely amazing! He will exceed every expectation you thought you had for your special day pictures. From start to finish he was hands down amazing! I searched through dozens of photographers to find our perfect fit. Brian blew me away immediately. He started by doing a call with me where he asked all the important things and got to know me and what we wanted. He then took that information and built a custom package that met our needs. This was amazing! I felt like I was not a cookie-cutter client, but that he took the time to build something especially for our needs. We booked him immediately because we knew he was the one! From there we took our engagement photos with him where he nailed it. We had our puppies in them with us, and he was so patient and kind in assisting to get our perfect family portrait with them. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Fast foward to our big day...WOW! Brian showed up ready to kill it. He was so kind and patient with my large bridal party. He captured all the shots we wanted and when we got them back...Holy smokes yall...I was in tears by how beautiful and perfect they were. Every girl dreams of the most beautiful and magical wedding photos and those two words cant even begin to describe how my husband and I feel about our pictures. We can not even pick a favorite or two because we love them all so much! Not only is his work stunning but his personality and professionalism is amazing! My husband is not a photo taker and Brian helped keep us on track and helped me alter my original schedule to get the stunning photos we wanted and save time so we could be with our guests instead of spending our entire day and reception getting photos. This was such a blessing and cut down on so much stress. 10/10 would recommend and you all will not be dissapointed. -

Brian was very helpful, friendly, and professional for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. He gave us good advice for including our dog in the engagement shoot, and he was very good at interacting with our little buddy and getting great photos of him! Brian took a little extra time with us at both the engagement shoot and the wedding to make sure we got all the photos we wanted, and he was creative with some shots we didn't even ask him to get. His editing is great; he puts the photos in an online gallery so you can see your pictures, and then holds a few back that only go on your flash drive so you can have some surprises when it arrives! It's a fun way to get everything, and he also makes sure to include the printing release so you can use the photos for things like Shutterfly projects. Fantastic! -
