Before you read any further, is The Violin Guy open for your wedding date? If so book him now! This is the most deserving 5 star review I have ever posted.
We first met Radu at the Las Colinas Bridal show, then a couple months later at the Dallas Bridal Show. Very impressed by the complete package he offered and the quality of his musical talent, my wife and I decided to go see him do a longer performance at one of his weeknight venues in Dallas. This guy does everything! We booked immediately after seeing him. He plays violin, guitar, piano, etc. And all very very well. He is a talented vocalist(multiple languages) and knows how to captivate an audience. Radu is tech savvy and has all the newest gear(computers, lighting, sound, instruments) plus an act at the end of every show that is unlike anything you have ever seen! I wont spoil anything... And he provides ALL your lighting, DJ services, and has two HD cameras recording video. He does not drink or smoke. He has a Lamborghini Murcielago and an Audi R8, in which he gave my wife and I the ride of our lives as a wedding present! He met with us shortly before the wedding to go over all the final details.
As for the wedding... He not only pulled everything off, but he went way above and beyond. He arrived early and was totally setup. Our venue was The City Club Dallas(69th floor downtown green building) so it was not easy to access. He was professionally dressed and polite to all our guests. The ceremony music was beautiful, the cocktail hour guitar ambiance was great, and the dinner performance was elegant. His DJ services had all 150 people on or around the dance floor! His special act at the end; WOW, there were more camera phones than I have ever seen at a wedding! We still get compliments on selecting him. He added so much to our wedding and helped create memories that we will always enjoy. Thank you Radu! He is the best choice we did ever!!! This man is so unbelievable, so talented, and the best multi-tasker I have ever seen!! My wedding guests have been asking me how I found him, telling me how great he is, and how fabulous my wedding was because of his performance. He did my music ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner hour and party/dancing time. He plays violin, plays piano, plays guitar, is a great DJ, and a great singer who is able to sing on many, many, many languages. Been that said, he managed to combine a good repertoire of Albanian and Eastern European music (my husband is Albanian), Latin music ( I'm Puerto Rican), and American music (for some of our friends) for the dancing part, and our multicultural crowd was absolutely delighted. He also sang while playing the violin to each table, that even guys were spellbound admiring his performance. In terms of his music/performance/repertoire: My ceremony was like a dream; per my guests, the cocktail hour was really nice; the dinner hour was romantic, chic, and elegant; and the reception was a big non-stop party:-) He is just brilliant!!! DJ Radu Cernat is musical genious! he is truly talented and can accomodate for anyone's musical taste. I asked him to play a customized playlist for the ceremony and he was able to learn the music and play it beautifully. And he is equally entertaining as he is talented, everyone LOVED him at the reception. THey were blown away that he could sing as well as he could play the violin, guitar, and piano! And despite being so talented, he never took the attention away from myself and my groom! I would highly recommend him, in addition to everything, he also does lighting and videography along with everything else so he is a great deal!DJ Radu Cernat is musical genious! he is truly talented and can accomodate for anyone's musical taste. Radu provided speakers so that everyone could be heard and had pin on microphones for the groom and officiant. There is no one better than Radu! I have followed Radu for years as he played at a local lounge in my area, then it was time to get married and i HAD to have Radu play at our ceremony. He was absolutely amazing as I expected. As I walked out, with Radu playing the violin, it sent goose bumps all over my body and brought tears to my eyes. My wedding would not have been complete if it wasn't for Radu. I have seen him do it all, play the violin, play the guitar, sing, dj, you name it he does it - and does it Great! Do not think twice when choosing someone to play at the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception. He is amazing and you will not be dissapointed!There is no one better than Radu! Radu is such a kind, energetic, talented individual. We immediately had great respect and admiration for him and his approach with his clients. If you are looking for a high-energy, multi-faceted performer, Radu is your guy. He plays violin (acoustic and wireless electric), keyboard/piano, guitar (acoustic and electric), and sings beautifully in up to 14 languages. He also DJ's the dance portion of the reception! Videography and lighting too! He was definitely the life of the party; we and our guests had the time of our lives and he is the reason. AMAZING!!! Radu played for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner as a violinist/singer/pianist. Then he changed into a DJ for the dancing part of the night. Everyone raved about him, in fact one of the first comments I get from my wedding guests is how amazing my violinist was. He is an amazing violinist and singer, and he will keep your guests on their toes and happy with the music they are listening to. Radu was amazing! We already had a Dj for our reception when I found The Violin Guy at The Plano Bridal Show so I chose to have him play for our Ceremony. As soon as I heard him start playing before the ceremony started, I was immediately calm. Hearing Radu play as I walked down the stairs made everything feel perfect! It wasn't some recorded cd that you hear everywhere...it was real!! Everyone talked about how wonderful the ceremony was because and what a wonderful job The Violin Guy did. We also got a video of the ceremony which will be something we will keep with us forever. He also has many other options available if your budget will allow for it.

I requested 2 unique songs for my walk down the aisle and our recessional. He did them both for me beautifully.

He is so talented! I was very impressed. Even my other vendors who have been in the industry for years asked me who he was.
My husband said he was a Stud!

A friend talked me into seeing Radu perform and I couldn't be more grateful. My husband and I fell in love with his music and booked him as soon as we could. He did an amazing job with the songs we asked him to perform live, they were all perfect. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, our guests loved him. I had seen Radu perform at restaurants in the DFW area and knew how amazingly talented he was, so when we saw him at a bridal show, dressed in a tux and performing his amazing violin, we knew we wanted to hire him to do all the music for my son's wedding reception at Union Station. We contracted with him, paid a deposit in August 2015 to secure the date in June 2016. My son and daughter-in-law met with him multiple times in the spring of 2016 to go over special music selections, and provide a list of songs to be included at the reception. They were so excited to have him perform at their reception! Both families had told their friends how fabulous the music was going to be and explained all that Radu did in his performances. Playing his violin on the dance floor, making it special for the bride and groom, etc. Special music had been selected for the bridal party to enter. Surprise music had been selected by the bride for the cake cutting. The bride had spoken with Radu just 2 days prior to the wedding/reception to confirm the final details. The full balance of the contract had been paid 30-days prior to the wedding, as required by his contract.
Radu NO-SHOWED to the reception. There was no Violin Guy at the reception, no special music. Another substitute band showed up with no knowledge of any preselected music. No communication from Radu that evening. This was very embarrassing for the families, and extremely upsetting to the bride and groom. Radu told us days later that he had another engagement that evening and wasn't able to leave. Surprise music had been selected by the bride for the cake cutting. The bride had spoken with Radu just 2 days prior to the wedding/reception to confirm the final details. The full balance of the contract had been paid 30-days prior to the wedding, as required by his contract.
Radu NO-SHOWED to the reception. There was no Violin Guy at the reception, no special music. Another substitute band showed up with no knowledge of any preselected music. No communication from Radu that evening. This was very embarrassing for the families, and extremely upsetting to the bride and groom. Radu told us days later that he had another engagement that evening and wasn't able to leave. We have asked for a full refund of our money and Radu has refused thus far. -

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a vendor in 9 years of corporate and wedding event planning. See below for full recap:
1. He was 3 hours late to set-up.
2. He did not answer any phone calls to check-in and let us know he would be late.
3. A singer who he was supposed to be practicing with showed up to rehearse and he had her wait 3 hours.
4. Upon arrival, he would disappear for 20 minutes at a time and left his equipment in the catering kitchen, which blocked servers from being able to do their job.
5. Because he was so late, there was no music at the cocktail hour. Our team was supposed to be able to open the reception for elderly people to sit, and they were left standing for an hour while waiting for him to finish set-up.
6. Once he did set up, he didn't have any idea of what music he was supposed to play and when. He made multiple announcements that were not accurate and/or not in the run of show that was provided to him. He didn't have the first dance song downloaded and at 6:30pm [when the bride was supposed to be making her entrance] he asked for the WiFI password to download the song, and ended up having to play it off of YouTube.
7. The music was actually the worst part of the entire thing.
8. He was supposed to be videoing the reception for the bride & groom, but kept shining the camera on himself and projecting images of himself on his "video wall"
9. We actually asked him to stop playing multiple times because he was so overbearing and could not understand the crowd and what they would want to hear. He kept going up to multiple tables and playing the violin to "serenade" people and it was just awkward.
10. I ended up having the daughter of the bride tell him exactly what to play.
Honestly, I could probably write more, but will stop there. DO NOT use this guy.
