Danny was amazing to work with from start to finish! He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and made everything feel easy and organized. He even helped me set up a display I wanted shown during the reception, which I really appreciated. Danny was very knowledgeable about how to keep the reception flowing smoothly and did a great job guiding the evening. He also truly listened to what we wanted for our music and made sure our song choices were reflected throughout the night. We had such a great time and would absolutely recommend him! -

How SimpleDJ saved my special day!
Anyone who is wondering or in between choosing DJ’s, hopefully this will help.
I originally had two other DJs before Danny(Owner of Simple DJ) reach Out to me and help me plan my special wedding.
Both of those other DJs told me they could do it and canceled last minute on me. Danny squeezed me in 2 to 3 weeks before my wedding (Hell of a time to squeeze me in too, beginning of October)
He made everything so clear, and told me not to stress about it. He explained to me how it would work, how everything would be set up, how the night would pertain to us and how he would make it unforgettable. After looking through all the packages, we went with the most simple one and it turned out to be wonderful. Kenny was our DJ for the night, and he was nothing short of being respectful and kind. Super helpful and also reviewed the plan with me minutes before everything started.
EDIT!!! (Grab the Photo Booth option. You won’t regret it! Out of 51 people at my reception, we had 70-80 photos I believe. Hot commodity!!)
I told Kenny I could help set up everything with him, but he insisted that I focus on what was important to me that day. He made my night along with my wife’s night unforgettable, Everybody was complementing how good the music was and the reception as well.
I can’t thank these guys enough for all the help they gave me, it was well worth the money and I didn’t blink twice, I have two of my other friends going to use them here in the next year.

I had a wonderful experience with the simple DJ! The tool online made it super easy to put in songs as we came across them and have them documented so we didn’t forget the day of what songs needed to be played. I also appreciated the calls that we had where they discussed my preferences about the vibes, music, lighting, etc. I loved the Photo Booth as well! -

Mark's kindness, humor, and professionalism created a warm and relaxed atmosphere, ensuring that my wedding day was filled with cherished memories. I was particularly touched by his choice to play a Billy Joel song toward the end of the reception (I even smiled and pointed to him, but I wasn't sure if he noticed that!). It's a favorite of my mom's, and the timing was so perfect that I felt it was a special moment, even if he wasn't aware of its significance. They stand on their reputation to host and provide amazing experiences and atmospheres, and I was so truly impressed and happy that I had this on my wedding day! As an anxious person there is always a trust factor when it comes to hiring all your vendors, and I was blown away with how the day flowed, matched our personalities and preferences, and made me feel like I had the best party ever; he just absolutely hit a home run on the day. -

Three reasons to hire The Simple DJ
1. You want it all and you want it all from one vendor!
These ease of having the same person for DJ, photobooth, CUSTOM Photo Booth prints,(which he designed to match our decor) a lighted monogram on the wall, and cold sparks for our first dance was amazing!
2. You want a dance floor that stays full!
When Danny asked what music we wanted for the reception we left it up to him, the professional, and he did not disappoint. I got so many compliments from guests about how fun the songs were and how they rolled right into the next one!
3. You want to work with someone kind!
Man weddings are stressful, and you truly cannot capture the chaos of the day until you are in it. I do not know how he does it but he maintained a kind and helpful demeanor the entire time and even helped the catering and venue team move tables (while doing his own job), which was really above and beyond!
From our very first phone consultation to the last moment Danny was professional, kind, helpful, and truly just amazing at what he does. The portal helped organize all the songs and timing in one place. We didn’t pick our first dance song until 3 hours before, for most DJs I am sure that would be extremely frustrating but Danny was so kind about it and made it all work. When I told him I was too nervous to get on the mic for a speech I had prepared, he recorded an audio for me the day of the wedding and played it so my mom and I could I have could have a special mother daughter dance.
The things you don’t even think about, he does! The mics for the ceremony, the music before during and after the ceremony all went off seamlessly. Announcing different things like when it’s time to be seated, releasing tables for dinner, and when shuttles were there, he did it all!
I have been to weddings with bad DJs and it truly makes or breaks the experience. If you want to make sure your wedding is amazing and memorable, stop looking and hire the simple DJ now! -

Easy planning and great DJing
Planning with the SimpleDJ was very streamlined with their online system for uploading playlists, and Danny and Kenny were both professional and flexible when we decided to add more on to our service. It felt like they really paid attention to what you did (and did not!) want to hear at your wedding and reception. The service day-of from Kenny was phenomenal! The dance floor stayed alive all night, and everyone had a great time -

Where do I even begin... Danny was nothing but AMAZING! I am a very detailed person and had a specific outline for my wedding music and he killed it. We rented the photo booth through the Simple DJ also and everyone loved it. There were lights that I didn't even know were apart of what he was bringing. You will not be disappointed by hiring the Simple DJ for your wedding or event. We all had the best time! My venue did not allow the cold sparklers, but I wish it did because I would have paid the additional for it. -

TheSimpleDJ is amazing!
Danny from theSimpleDJ was absolutely amazing! I seriously cannot recommend theSimpleDJ enough. Throughout the entire planning process, Danny made everything so incredibly easy for us. On the day of the wedding, he got there early to set up his equipment, and made sure everything was the way we wanted it. He was fun, entertaining, and played great music all night. He was able to get all of our guests out on the dance floor, which is something I really wanted. His DJ booth and equipment all look super nice, and goes well with any color scheme/venue. Also, the lighting really adds an extra element to the dance floor, which is something our guests loved! Throughout the entire night, our guests kept coming up to us saying how amazing our DJ was, and I couldn't agree more! -

The Simple DJ was incredibly prompt, professional, accommodating, and flexible. He did a great job creating an amazing and fun environment for both the ceremony and reception. We had some last minute changes to songs and schedule, and he did fantastic job being understanding and flexible. During the reception he did a great job at picking the right songs for the perfect moments and keeping it lively and fun! The planning process was very simple and easy through the website. All-in-all, we would highly recommend him! -

Truly couldn't have asked for a better DJ!! Music was the #1 most important thing to me for our August 2023 wedding, and I can honestly say it was the best day of my life because of The Simple DJ & Danny specifically! :) The Simple DJ is the perfect combination of laid-back & bride/groom-focused, yet super organized, high energy, and detail-oriented! So professional, personable, and fun. Can't imagine working with anyone else or having anyone else there for my big day. I've never seen some of my family and friends dance like I did that night lol - Danny sure knows how to read a room! Our DJ nailed all the little and big moments throughout the whole evening. Your DJ really is in charge of a lot - not just the dance floor, but also the MC of the night, the timing of all the special moments like first dances, sparklers, exits, etc. So you have to pick the best one and The Simple DJ is the way to go!! They care so much. HIGHLY recommend The Simple DJ for your event!!!! :) -

Danny (the owner) was responsive, professional, and just all around great to work with! Carlos was our Dj for our wedding day and I cannot say enough good things about him. He paid great attention to the crowd and picked such good songs that no one wanted to leave the dance floor. We had so many people tell us they were exhausted from dancing or just ready to go home but couldn’t because they were having such a great time! It was everything I wanted/asked for and more! -

The best!
Finding the Simple DJ was truly a breath of fresh air. It was so refreshing to hear a modern approach on what you look for in a DJ- fun, professional, energetic, easygoing and leaving the grandstanders and corny MC’s in the past. Danny was so great explaining the whole process and what we could expect from him and his DJ’s. Their self service portal and online features made it so easy for my husband and I to map out the music direction from start to finish. Jon, our DJ, was incredible. He led us through the reception seamlessly and was so helpful and flexible with any changes we had throughout the night. He kept the flow going with our guests and had everyone of all ages on the dance floor the entire night. Will be continuing to rave about what an amazing experience we had- THE BEST!!! -

Cannot begin to describe how awesome The Simple DJ was for my wedding! Danny was so flexible and accommodating - you can tell from the very first phone call that he has experience and knows what he's doing. He has an amazing website where you can be as controlling or as relaxed with the music for your event as you want. In my case, I was able to list exactly what songs were played pre-ceremony, during the ceremony, during dinner, during each reception event, and during the open dance floor. It's compatible with apps like Spotify, so if you make a playlist for your wedding, you can easily upload it to be used for your event. You can also specify what songs you don't want played, and Danny was kind enough to allow me to make any last-minute changes I wanted. Even during the reception when I approached him with special requests (for example, letting my dad take the mic and tell all of the Purdue alumni to get off of the dance floor), Danny was more than happy to oblige. We had ZERO sound issues throughout the entire day, which is just unheard of. I could rave about this vendor all day, but the moral of the story is that my dance floor was full the ENTIRE reception, every single guest had a wonderful time, each piece of my wedding day was on-time, and The Simple DJ truly is the master of ceremonies. -

I can't say enough great things about The Simple DJ, Danny, and his team! From start to finish they were professional, kind, and fun! The portal that they use makes the planning process such a breeze. They offer several packages that can be customized to your needs and lots of great add ons (lighting, photo booth, etc.)
Our biggest request was to make sure the dance floor was packed all night long and Danny definitely made that happen! I have, and will continue to recommend The Simple DJ to everyone that I can. -

The Simple DJ (Danny is who we had) was awesome for our wedding ceremony & reception. I wanted a printer and he supplied it (wireless). the PhotoBooth machine itself was seamless , easy to use while super high tech at the same time. Barley took up any space. Guests were out on the dance floor the entire night, best night ever. Let us customize our playlists and even what point to start certain songs. He made a customized emblem for my PhotoBooth strip print outs and it was perfect. Minor issue with the venue equipment that he handled seamlessly and professionally. I would highly recommend the simple DJ to anyone needing a DJ for any event!theSimpleDJ's reply:

Danny was the best DJ we could have ever asked for! The DJ was actually the last vendor we booked because my now-husband was very particular (he loves his music!) and wanted someone who would give us flexibility in curating our own playlist. That's how we first found Danny at The Simple DJ, but he turned out to be even more than that. Through him, we did uplighting and a Gobo Monogram light. I was iffy about Uplighting but WOW it made a huge difference at the wedding. Danny used a new uplighting that changed colors/"danced" to the music. It really changed the entire effect of the wedding and took it to the next level. The Gobo Monogram light was perfect for the big blank wall during our reception. Everything else was seamless. He coordinated timing of the day (since we didn't have a Wedding Coordinator) he did music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. He had an amazing planning portal, too. This was a huge weight off our shoulder. He truly made our day PERFECT!theSimpleDJ's reply:

We hired theSimpleDJ for our wedding (ceremony and reception) in June 2021. It was a great choice from start to finish! I personally loved their planning process ahead of time, which is a portal where you can choose each song, announcement, type of music to be played, etc. ahead of time so that your day runs smoothly. Danny and Bill both came to the venue to set up for our wedding, were professional/ helpful, and it all looked great. They also hooked up our pastor to a mic and had a free mic for 2 family members to read Bible passages. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with ZERO hiccups! At the reception, Bill kept the evening going with fantastic music choices and helped to lead our reception! We had soooo much fun and honestly wish we could do it all again! Definitely hire theSimpleDJ - you will not be disappointed! -

Danny was amazing at setting up the lighting (my favorite part) and the music. He helped lead whatever we wanted done that day. We were sporadic with our Timeline and just went with the flow and Danny was so easy going with all of it and made it very easy for us. I'd highly recommend Danny if you're ever wanting someone who listens to exactly what you want and how you want it and someone who is professional and great at choosing the appropriate music! -

We absolutely loved working with theSimpleDJ for our wedding! They were extremely helpful from the beginning in planning our wedding ceremony and reception. Their experience in the wedding industry was evident throughout the night as they executed our wedding better than we could have imagined! Since our event was at Biltwell and it was a large event space, we purchased the ultimate wedding package. This included everything we wanted - ceremony, reception, lighting, and even sound for downstairs for the cocktail hour. Our favorite part of the night was the dancing - every song was exactly what we wanted and our guests never left the dance floor. For our wedding, we decided to hire theSimpleDJ to DJ our big day. Looking back now, he was our favorite vendor to work with. We met with him to give him an idea of what genre of songs we wanted, special songs (mother/son, father/daughter,etc.), and any songs that we did not want to be played), but let him run the show with guidelines. He was able to feel out the crowd and make perfect song choices throughout the night! We have had many people tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and have used theSimpleDJ for their events as well. We had to extend our reservation at the venue because no one wanted to leave. We also used his services to include microphones during the ceremony and uplighting around the room. As I said, theSimpleDJ, was our favorite vendor to work with and would highly recommend him for your event. You won't regret your decision! -

Melissa Sent on 10/16/2011I can't say enough good things about Ryan and Andrea - the Simple DJ team! Ryan was extremely responsive whenever I had any questions before the event, and he made sure we understood exactly what we were getting - a DJ who would play exactly what we wanted, and who would keep the attention focused on us and our guests rather than himself.
Andrea will emcee your event if you wish, and I recommend that you have her do it. She's wonderful to work with, too - she acts as a sort of coordinator during the reception to make sure you get in all of the "activities" (first dance, cake cutting, etc.) exactly when you want them to occur. Believe me, you will be so busy enjoying yourself that you will forget when and where you are supposed to be - Andrea is there to keep you on track and make sure things happen when you want them to.
They were also wonderful about requests from guests. We had created our entire playlist, but we had said we were open to requests from guests, except a very few songs on our Do Not Play. They were firm about not playing those Do Not Play songs, and still keeping our guests happy.
All of this great service, and they were very reasonably priced, too!
