I was lucky enough to find The Write Occasion to assist with addressing my invitations for 2 separate occasions and the quality of her work is perfectly done. She pays attention to detail and is a pleasure to work with. For an example of her kind, professional care that sticks out in my mind is on the last set of invitations. I contacted The Write Occasion for an Engagement Party we were hosting for our son and fiance. We chose to make this a memorable event with 150 guests and I certainly needed help with nice quality calligraphy addressed for both the invitations and RSVP cards. Well, the quality exceeded my expectations and now I have reached out to ask for help with the Rehearsal Dinner invitations and RSVP cards again for the wedding. This time, I learned through her guidance, that quality invitations/paper, really makes the invitations stand out and even more fabulous. Thank You, The Write Occasion!!!

Lori is fabulous....she has done numerous big events for us including Weddings, Anniversary Party, Rehearsal dinner, Placecards....and the list goes on. She is so creative and on top of her profession. I would never go to anyone else!

Absolutely Beautiful Work! Lori did our envelopes for our wedding invitations, as well as the dinner place cards for the rehearsal dinner and reception. She was very responsive to emails and texts. We're so glad we found her. I felt like I was mailing little works of art to everyone on our guest list! Lori was easy to work with and did everything in record time. I highly recommend "The Write Occasion Calligraphy" to anyone wanting to add an elegant hand written touch to their special day! This was one of the easiest decisions in our planning our wedding. Lori's work is stunning and speaks for itself. However her quick responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping us complete a gorgeous wedding invitation suite and to write a STUNNING wedding contract make her an absolute treasure. One of my guests was so impressed with her work that he said he felt like he was receiving a document on the level of the Declaration of Independence! Truly happy and recommend without hesitation.

This is an absolute no-brainer. Lori is one of the most fun and professional vendors I've ever worked with. It was serendipitous really... I had taken a calligraphy class with her a few years ago. Fast forward to 2016, I'm browsing a local gift shop and I see handmade thank you notes and a map of Charlotte that I knew I needed to have personalized for my own wedding. I flip over the cards and lo and behold - it was Lori with The Write Occasion! I called her and within a matter of days she knew exactly what I wanted. She helped us to create a customized wedding map of Charlottesville (which is still my favorite piece of the wedding planning so far), custom brunch invites, and custom thank you notes with matching lined envelopes. It's like she could reach inside my mind and put my vision on paper.

I literally can't say enough good things about her. She's talented, affordable and an absolute gem to work with. If I could give her more stars I would.

Lori was extremely helpful and easy to work with! She did our gorgeous outer envelopes and also created our Program and Welcome sign using paint on picture frame glass. She did everything in a very timely manner and was easily accessible via email and text message. I recommend Lori to anyone looking for gorgeous and creative calligraphy work!

We love Lori! She is so nice you will look for excuses to go back and have more work done! She did our envelopes for our invitations and everyone was so impressed. She does beautiful work and is super quick. She also did all the signs for our wedding and they were exquisite! I never want to clean them off I just want to keep them for all time. She is so professional and friendly. Her prices is completely reasonable for the amount of beautiful work she does. I would recommend her to anyone and we will always use her for our calligraphy needs. Also, she has the sweetest doggy ever!

Lori was amazing! She had a huge project she was already in the midst of working on but she found the time to do some beautiful calligraphy for my invitation envelopes. Couldn't have asked for a better calligrapher to work with! Not only did Lori go out of her way to make sure that the envelopes and RSVPs were addressed correctly, but even went so far as to find out international shipping standards and went to the post office to pay for additional ship rates! She did beautiful work and was easy to communicate with as well as friendly and organized. I can't say enough good things about her work and her professionalism. Highly recommended and we'll definitely use her again!~

Lori did a fabulous job with our wedding invitations. She was very responsive to my phone calls, and her website helped with selecting the style of calligraphy and with answering my questions. She also was timely with getting the completed invitations back to us, sooner than I had even expected. I almost didn't want to send off the envelopes they were so beautiful. When we were at the post office to drop our invitations off a woman next to us in line even complimented the calligraphy work on our envelopes. I would definitely recommend her services if you're in need of a calligrapher.

If anyone deserves 5 stars, it's The Write Occasion Calligraphy. Here are my reasons why:
1. All of my questions were answered appropriately and in a timely manner.
2. Lori completed the envelops in advance.
3. The quality of the product far surpassed my imagination.

We hired Lori from The Write Occasion Calligraphy to address the invitations for our daughter’s wedding. What a wonderful treat, to see such beautifully crafted envelopes! Following my mothers death I wanted to share a keepsake for my daughters to remember their grandmother by. My mother loved to write poetry. Her poem of our family farm barn that had seen 5 generations play in the barnyard seemed perfect. The beautiful calligraphy added a personal touch to this unique gift. Will know who to contact for projects in the future.

In a word -- AMAZING! In two words -- AMAZING ARTIST! I couldn't have dreamed up a more beautifully addressed invitation. I loved them so much that I knew we had to have place cards in calligraphy to "set the table".

Lori took the time to sit and listen to what we wanted and then delivered far more than what we asked of her. I couldn't believe how fast the turn around time was. Whatever your wedding budget is, you need to have The Write Occasion included.

We were referred to Lori by Paper Source to address our daughter's wedding invitations. Lori did an amazing job. The envelopes were literally a work of art--we hated mailing them and getting them scuffed up--they were remarkable--we have had many copliments already and we would not hesitate to use Lori again in the future and enthusiastically recommend her to anyone who needs a calligrapher.
She was pleasant to work with, flexible, fun and really helpful in terms of protocol as well.
I give Lori and perfect rating and those who know me know that I don't say that unless it is really true.

Lori was absolutely wonderful to work with, exactly what a bride would hope for.

She was accommodating, responsive, by far the most reasonably priced that I found; thorough, but fast, and she did beautiful work. We couldn't be happier with the envelopes that she did for us and will definitely use her for place cards and other paper items at the Wedding.

Working with Lori has been one of the easier parts of planning this wedding, and as any bride that has been 2 months out from her wedding will know, it's such a relief and a joy to encounter.

I was delighted with the calligraphy for my daughter's wedding invitations. Lori was easy to work with, punctual and her work is lovely. She sent a picture of the first envelope she did for us, so we could be sure the calligraphy was what we had in mind. That was very reassuring.

Lori did an amazing job on my daughters invitation envelopes. We've had so many phone calls asking who did them and if they were really hand written because they look too perfect to be written. I can't wait for her to teach me how to do calligraphy.

Hands down Lori is the most sweetest, professional, and caring calligrapher all brides need to meet and work with!! I had an extremely tight turnaround for my wedding invitations to get out the door and Lori did the calligraphy for the envelopes in such a short amount of time and they looked flawless! I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out - she even did a unique style that she offers amongst other pretty styles of calligraphy that she does so beautifully. We received so many compliments and we couldn't be happier!

I emailed three separate calligraphy companies and Lori at The Write Occasion Calligraphy was the first to respond back. She was headed out of town but committed to getting my wedding envelopes addressed within two weeks. I emailed her the list of addresses, which she reviewed right away, provided me with a price and we made arrangements for me to overnight the envelopes. Not only did she do an absolutely fabulous job, she turned the order around within three days. We were able to mail out the invitations sooner and received several compliments on the quality of her work. I would highly recommend Lori/The Write Occasion.

Lori was fantastic to work with! She was very accomodating and was able to get my project done on short notice. She listened to my requests and even offered suggestions to make my anniversary gift more special. She was easy to communicate with and worked over the phone/e-mail very well. I had a delay with my printer and Lori was very flexible with helping me meet my deadline to send out our invitations in time. She was a pleasure to work with and would love to do business with her again!
