The White Room is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Every member of staff makes sure you feel like the most important customer and bride as soon as you walk in. They were able to help me find a dress and even customize it to make it into my dream dress! After alterations, which were also done at The White Room, the dress fit like a glove. I could not recommend The White Room enough.

Flawless Experience

I had the best experience at The White Room! There was a great selection of dresses from different vendors and various styles. Cathy gave me undivided attention during my appointment. I wanted to combine 3 styles from 3 different dresses, and Cathy was very helpful taking custom measurements, advising if the dress would look right, and calling the designer to make sure everything went smoothly. The dress turned out perfect! Carolyn did the alterations in house which also made the process even easier. I have heard nightmares of bride's alteration fiascos... that won't happen at TWR! Such an easy process. I loved my dress!

Beautiful dresses!

The entire team at the White Room made wedding dress shopping so fun and personalized! I found the perfect dress, and they do all their own tailoring in house. My dress fit me perfectly, and it was exactly what I imagined. I highly recommend them!

Best place!

Cathy and Carolyn at the WHITE Room are SAINTS!! They made this whole process so much fun even during a pandemic. They made me feel beautiful and they are so talented. From designing my veil to helping me accessorize and re working my dress, they were flawless. They let me choose exactly when I wanted to do my fittings, which was super helpful. Highly recommend this place!!

Dream Dress Found Here

This will be a long post, but bear with me, because it is worth it!

I always knew I wanted a long sleeve wedding dress. I started following Anne Barge on Instagram months before I was engaged because she is known for her long sleeve gowns. I was browsing through the stories on Instagram and saw a picture of this one certain dress and immediately knew that was my dream dress. Once it was time for me to start trying on wedding dresses, I was living in Nashville and called stores in Nashville and Atlanta and not a single store had the dress or offered to locate it for me to try on. I called The White Room and was greeted with a sweet, southern voice that immediately told me that they could hunt down the dress, have it shipped to their store, and I could come in in two weeks to try it on! Something that simple made me feel so good! They had the dress there for me when I drove down from Nashville. I put it, walked out to show my family members, and we all agreed that it was 'The One.' I didn't try any other dress on! Carolyn did some alterations after a fitting a few months later and come wedding day, it fit like a glove!

Other than marrying my husband, my wedding dress was my favorite part of the wedding day! I seriously could not imagine walking down the aisle in any other dress and I have The White Room Bridal Salon to thank for that!! They are so attentive and offer the best customer service. Their salon is beautiful as well! Don't look anywhere else, because it will not compare to here. :)

Wonderful Experience!

I had a wonderful experience at The White Room! I came in unsure of which dress style I wanted or liked best. Ms. Cathy guided me through the process and knew which dresses would work best for my body shape, our venue, and time of year. She ended up picking out a dress for me to try on that I would never have chosen for myself, and it turned out to be the one! She and her mother are a team that work extremely well together. They are a fun, sweet, and personable duo that are experts at what they do!

Kind and Professional!

I wanted to try on dresses with my family, but I wasn't sure I was ready to buy. Cathy and her team made it such a fun experience, and I left with a dress I loved! Given my timeline, and because I was living in DC and getting married in NC, I needed to take the floor model (which was kept in impeccable condition). Cathy called twice to follow up on how alterations went and make sure my dress would be perfect for my wedding. I can't recommend the White Room enough!

Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience we have had with The White Room, not once, but twice! My mom bought her mother of the bride dress at The White Room for my sisters wedding, and we loved the professionalism and treatment we received from Cathy and Carolyn. When I got engaged, I knew I wanted to go there to try on dresses and ended up buying my wedding gown from there. They made the experience so special and fun! I highly recommend! They are the absolute BEST in every way! And so kind! :)

Amazing, highly recommend

I had an amazing experience here. I had gone to two previous stores before I came here and those two were awful because every time I didn't like a dress it was made known that this frustrated them even though I was polite about it. So I was a bit nervous about going through the process again, but I needed a dress. Cathy was amazing. Her first words were "this is your dress, your day, it will not hurt my feelings in the slightest if you say you do not like the dress. Just say no and we will put it away." She never pressured me to like a dress, listened to my wishes, and found me my perfect dress! It was literally the first dress I tried on that she grabbed for me based off of my specifications. However, I did try on others after that but I already knew that the first dress I put on was the dress. After that they took measurements and ordered my dress! They alter the dress right there in shop and that is an amazing experience as well. They are so kind and made the experience a breeze instead of stressful. I appreciate them so much and they truly were a highlight of my wedding planning experience! So all I have to say is thank you so much and if you are still looking for a dress you will not regret going here!

Amazing Experience, Highly Recommend

I have an exceptional experience at The White Room! Cathy was amazing to work with. She made me feel so comfortable and I trusted her immediately. The first dress I tried on was the winner!! After picking out my dress, I then worked with Carolyn on the alterations. She was wonderful to work with as well. I couldn't have asked for two women who understood my wants and needs more. They were a dream and I'd recommend any bride to go to The White Room!

The women at this salon are so helpful, knowledgeable, and warm. They made my mom and I feel so welcome each time we stopped by! They took the time to listen to what I was looking for and, even though I only had a vague idea of what I wanted, found the perfect gowns for me to try on. The White Room also has the best selection in town for the value of their dresses. Ms. Carolyn did an expert job with the alterations, and being able to have my dress altered in the same place relieved the stress of finding another place. I couldn't have asked for a better dress shopping experience!

I had an amazing experience with the White Room. I had imagined exactly what I wanted but could not quite find it in reality. Mrs. Carolyn the owner, took the time to meet with me to help me make my dream dress happen. She was able to take two different pieces and make them into one dress for me! The dress was a dream and it fit me perfect! During the whole process each person was patient and very kind, I knew they cared so much about my big day and me loving my dress!

After visiting 5 other salons in 3 states, I found myself at The White Room. Not that I had bad experiences at other salons, I just had not found 'the one,' and didn't quite know what that looked like. When I walked in, I felt welcome, important and comfortable. The staff at The White Room are so friendly and kind, and on top of that they know their stuff! They make sure you aren't overwhelmed or feeling under pressure at any point in the process. They have a decent amount of gowns, without feeling like you have 1000 things to look at. They just have the best - on a variety of styles, price ranges, looks, and designers. They let you choose ones you like, but also based on first impressions and styles you select off the bat, pull some you might not pick yourself - one of these pulls ended up being my dream dress! I left to mull things over during lunch, and called back to see if I could try on my top 2 one more time - and they said sure!!! I had a couple things I wanted to change on the dress, and they were honest about their capabilities and with what the designer would allow - but BOY did they deliver! My custom Anne Barge dress was perfect, and I'm so happy it came from The White Room. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dress - I drove all the way from Atlanta!

The White Room exceeded my expectations of a bridal boutique. I was excited and nervous when I was looking for a dress and they treated me with the upmost respect and gave me the royal treatment. I visited several bridal boutiques and The White Room, by far, had the best service and it was the most luxurious boutique out of all of them. Their service and hospitality was one of the reasons why I chose them. When I walked into the boutique I knew I was in the right place because they were professional, fashion-forward and I knew they meant business. They actually listened to what I wanted unlike other boutiques I had visited and this was a huge plus. Lastly, during my final fitting I almost fainted, literally. In the middle of my fitting my sugar dropped and I almost passed out. They brought me food and a drink to make me feel better and they rescheduled my fitting with no hesitation. They checked up on me afterward to make sure I was okay and they reassured me that I wasn't the first one to do this! I highly recommend The White Room. They are the best!!

I shopped at bridal designer's stores in New York City and all over Birmingham. There is absolutely no bridal shop that can even compare to The White Room. The quality and selection of dresses and veils, the customer service, the attention to detail, the expertise, the timeliness - it all is TOP NOTCH. Ms. Cathy and Carolyn welcomed me into their shop, advised me, directed me and took care of me start to finish. They are the most genuinely kind hearted and welcoming people you could possibly find. Their knowledge of the dresses / materials / customization / altering and fitting is first hand. You will NOT find a more wonderful bridal boutique, not even in NYC!!

Cathy and Carolyn will make you feel like a princess. I had been shopping for my wedding dress for every weekend for a month mostly in Atlanta. As a last minute decision, my mom and I decided to check out the boutiques in Birmingham. The White Room was my first appointment of the day. I knew immediately that I wanted to work with Cathy and Carolyn. We found my dress in that appointment, and I cancelled all of the other appointments I had for the day. When my dress came in there was a misunderstanding with the order. It came in the wrong color. Cathy got is figured out and reordered in no time! I wanted off the shoulder straps for the ceremony, and on the shoulder straps for the reception so that I could dance. Mrs. Carolyn engineered my dress so that I could have both. She made pivots for the straps and installed a hook and eye system so that they would not be too loose. Not only did Mrs. Carolyn do the alterations of my gown, but she also attached a comb to my grandmother's 60 year old veil so that I could wear it. She even replaced the elastic and added material to a really delicate silk and lace garter that my mother and grandmother wore so that I could wear it on my wedding day. There is no one I trust more than Mrs. Carolyn to work on my heirloom pieces. Her work is fantastic! I encourage anyone wedding and formal dress shopping to go to the White Room! The ladies here are amazing, and so are the gowns.

The White Room gave me an experience that I will always remember! From when I walked in and told them what I wanted, they new exactly how to make the dress of my dreams come together. A few close friends of ours was the first to use Cathy and Carolyn and told us about their wonderful experience. My sister and sister-in-law found their dream dress here and even my mother has got her MOB dress (2) and MOG dress here. They have truly become part of our family! Whenever a friend gets engaged or a mom needs a dress for their daughter's or son's wedding, I recommend they go to The White Room, because I know they will not be disappointed!

Hands down, the most incredible experience from the location, the openness of the store, the warm friendly environment, the staff, to the small details that do NOT go unnoticed. I live 3 hours away from Birmingham and was in town for a doctors appointment. I went to one other store and you had to have an appointment and they couldnt see me that day. I was on a time limit to get my dress ordered and in before my wedding in November and was starting to panic. So I started searching for my next stop and the White Room Bridal Salon was closest. I did not have an appointment but Ms. Kathy took me right in and started pulling dresses for me to try on! After 4 dresses I found the perfect dress! Ms. Kathy was so sweet and helpful. The dress was a show room dress and was not really for sale but it fit me so perfectly and Ms. Kathy knew I was on a time crunch she let me take it home!! It couldnt have been a better experience and I highly recommend buying your wedding dress from The White Room Bridal Salon!! They are the best!!

When I was searching for the perfect wedding dress, I went to numerous different bridal shops in the area. However, when I walked into the White Room, I knew immediately that this would be the place that I would find "the one." The staff helps you one-on-one and truly makes you feel so comfortable...like you are the most important person there! I was sooooo in love with these ladies and my experience there that I brought my Mother back to find her mother-of-the-bride dress too! They truly listen to what you want and are so experienced that they know EXACTLY how to make that happen. I can't say enough about this salon and the staff! I would give them over 5 stars if I could!

The White Room made my wedding dreams come true. They were able to listen to my likes and dislikes in a dress and work in my budget to pick out a dress that was perfect for me. The experience was great from start to finish. I would do it all again if I could!

After visiting seven dress shops, the White Room was a dream come true! They are so professional and attentive, and they work hard to make sure that you will look absolutely stunning on your wedding day. Carolyn was a perfectionist about my dress, and she was willing to alter anything that even slightly bothered me. Her diligence meant the world to me and reinforced that I had purchased from the right place! You can look elsewhere if you must, but you cannot do better than the White Room!

Cathy is an absolute dream to work with- I had such an amazing time with her! From the second I walked into the store I felt like something special was going to happen. She has a keen eye and was able to hone in on my style immediately. The dress I ended up purchasing was a pick of hers for me! She was great- helped put me into the gown, then stepped back and let me assess it in the mirror before saying anything. The process was so much fun and I truly felt like I was being treated like a celebrity. At the end of the appointment I wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger on the dress, so she told me to sleep on it and call her anytime once I made up my mind. Once I told her which dress I wanted, I went back in to choose a veil, and this is where she really shone. She pulled 3 different veils, all quite different, and allowed me to parade around the whole shop while I decided. All this to say that buying my dress and veil there was the best decision I ever made, everyone I interacted with was just absolutely lovely, and everytime I'm there I get a huge hug and really feel like family.

I loved my dress that I found at the White Room. I thought that everyone was extremely helpful from picking out my dress to the final fitting. I definitely recommend looking for a dress here!

The White Room is by far the best place to shop for a dress in Birmingham. Miss Carolyn and Jessica are the sweetest people, and really worked on finding exactly what worked for me. I was nervous going into my appointment because my budget was only $500 more than their minimum dress cost, but we pulled over 20 dresses that were in budget and absolutely gorgeous. Because of Jessica's expertise knowledge about bridal fashion, I picked a dress that I never would have even tried on. Thank you so much to everyone at The White Room!

I am in LOVE with my dress, the ladies helped me and my mother pick out the most amazing Ines Di Santo Dress, that I was just in much love with on the day I bought it to the day I wore it! You will not be disappointed!

I had THE BEST wedding dress experience thanks to Jessica, I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me find the dress of my dreams. Not only did she get exactly what I was looking for, but gave me the strength to go with the dress I truly loved when the others around me were leaning towards my 2nd choice. In the end, it really was the dress for me and I cannot thank her enough!

This mother/daughter team is beyond AMAZING! I'm from N.Alabama and I traveled 4 states looking for my dress. My last stop before coming to the White Room was "Bridals by Lori" I did find a dress I liked there…but the shopping experience was not what I wanted. They were very pushy, and was just trying to make a sale. As soon as I got out of the store, I looked for other stores that carried this designer, and the White Room came up. I phoned them immediately to ask about this dress.I ended up talking to them for at least 20 mins. They didn't have the exact dress I was looking for, but told me they had plenty from the designer. Then she mentioned an event they were having the next weekend…..a trunk show with the designer there! I made and appointment, and it was the best decision ever.

I cannot begin to explain the service I received. I just so happened to be the last appointment, and I had everyone's attention. The designer, Judd Waddell, came out immediately and started talking to me about my wants and my look that I was trying to achieve. I had his guidance, and well as the ladies of the White Room. They made that day very special for my mother and I. They kept me informed while my dress was getting made, and responded to all my e-mails and calls. My dress came in, and it was another great/special time during the process. And let me add, the dressing rooms here are amazing! They are very intimate, and that makes it so much better.

And Mother Carolyn does the alterations. Carolyn alterations are not only the best, but so is her pricing. And she is very knowledgeable when it comes to making any custom changes to the dress. And she does the best bustle I have ever seen! I could go on and on about the FAB ladies here at the White Room. If you want to find your dream dress, and have the best experience ever…….then come here. The only bad thing about this experience was picking my dress up and saying bye to Cathy and Carolyn!

This was the first place I went and I fell in love with the first dress I tried on! They are one of the only vendors in the south that carry Amsale. I wore the Amsale Dahlia gown. They were so nice and fun to work with!! Great selection!

The women at The White Room were amazing. It was my 4th place trying on dresses and the service and selections were wonderful. Not only did I find the dress of my dreams but the service was exceptional and the alterations were perfect. Would recommend this bridal salon to anyone looking for their perfect gown!

I bought my dress at the White Room sample sale. The sales girl (Laura or Lauren maybe?) was SO sweet and helpful. She spent a lot of time with me even though I had just wandered in with no appointment. She even held the dress for me while I went to get my payment for her. I had a great experience.

Cathy Kelley and the White Room helped me find my dream wedding dress! I wanted a simple but elegant ball gown and I found it at the White Room! Cathy was extremely helpful, attentive and genuinely wanted to help me find the perfect dress. Also, after I purchased my dress, I wanted to continue the buttons on the back of it all the way down the skirt. Cathy went out of her way and obtained the buttons from the manufacturer and mailed them to me. She was extremely helpful and responded to all my emails promptly. I highly recommend The White Room and Ms. Cathy Kelley!

The ladies of The White Room are beyond wonderful. Finding a dress was the most dreaded part of the wedding for me but Ms. Cathy and Mrs. Carolyn very so good to me and helped me find a beautiful dress. They are so professional and could answer all the questions I had. Ms. Cathy answered all my emails and calls timely and helped me pick the perfect dress and belt! I felt they went above and beyond what they would have to do to help me pick a dress. They made me and my mom feel so comfortable as we picked out our dresses. Mrs. Carolyn helped me get the perfect fit and I felt comfortable in my dress on my wedding day. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a fuss free dress buying experience! They are wonderful!

I have just one word for The White Room and thier professional and knowledgable staff -- perfect! I could not have asked for any more caring and accomodating staff. Nothing short of excellent! I felt so very special. Carolyn and Cathy are wonderful, wonderful women who 100% know what they are doing. An they are truly good people. Shortly after finding my dress at The White Room, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cathy and Carolyn inquired about my mother every single time I talked with them. And they made the effort to call on the day of her mastectomy and see how she was doing. During every appointment I had with them, we talked like old friends. I greatly appreciated the time they spent with my mom to just talk to her and the extra effort Carolyn put in the help my mom feel pretty in her dress, especially after the mastectomy. You can't go wrong with these two ladies and The White Room!

I cannot say enough good things about Carolyn and Kathy at the White Room. They are very professional and eager to find 'the dress' for you! Carolyn & Cathy at the White Room were great. I didn't want a big, poofy dress, and after listening to what I wanted, one of them pulled a perfect dress of the rack. I wouldn't have initially thought to try it on, but it suited my body type and personality. I got SOO many compliments on the dress. Everyone was saying how beautiful it was, how different it was, how it fit me so well. My most artistic friends said that it was one of the best wedding dresses she had ever seen. The dress was by Paloma Blanco, who makes classic & elegant gowns. Can't go wrong by starting your search at The White Room.

The White Room is sheer perfection! These ladies know their stuff! They know how to help you select a dress, the accessories, the veil and they know how to alter the dress so it fits you perfectly! Out of all of the wedding vendors I worked with, The White Room was one of the best. My entire experience was excellent. The staff was very easy to communicate with & were also always there to answer my questions. The quality of their dresses compared to other local vendors is outstanding. They worked so well with me. We were able to do the measurements over the phone since I lived almost 4 hours away. So precise with the alterations that I only had to go for 1 fitting. Loved the dress!!!!

The White Room was the first and only place I ever looked for my Wedding Dress. Before my mother, sister, and I even set foot in the White Room we had already heard rave reviews from our family and friends about the quality of service and friendliness of the staff at The White Room. Well, they did not dissapoint! No to mention, their selection of styles and designers is exceptional! Prior to our visit to The White Room my mother had found a dress online that I absolutely loved but they did not have the dress at The White Room. So, my mom called and asked if there was any way they could have a sample of the dress sent to The White Room so that I could try it on. And lo and behold when I got there for my appointment there was the dress waiting on me!
The women at The White Room were so accomodating and helpful, I cannot imagine going anywhere else! That dress that they had specially shipped and brought in for me to try on was "The Dress!" It was my dream dress! From Carolyn's exquisite seamstress work to Cathy's eye for accessories, I was able to look the way I had always dreamed I would on the most important day of my life! Not only did they locate the dress of my dreams and bring it in especially for me to try on, but they special ordered a birdcage veil that I wanted so that I could try it on with the dress and that was the veil I decided to wear at my reception! On March 28, 2009, I wore an off-the-shoulder vintage lace gown by Romana Keveza with Chapel-length veil during the ceremony and then changed into a Sara Gabriel birdcage veil, made especially for me, at the reception! Though I know they are incredibly popular and busy, whenever I was there for a fitting or on the phone with questions, the staff at The White Room made me feel so incredibly special and loved, like I was their only bride. I do not have enough nice things to say about every aspect of the White Room. I wish I could get married all over again just so that I could go back to The White Room!

The White Room could not have been professional, caring and understanding of my needs for my a day! Not only did I get my dress there, but the mother of the bride and mother of the groom, and the grandmother of the bride! Friendly is not even enough to describe the staff of The White Room, they are exceptional in all that do. I would recommend their boutique to anyone. They are not just a place where I bought my wedding dress, I consider to them to be a lifelong friend.

The White Room has many gorgeous gowns and the staff is extremely helpful in finding you what you need. They are very professional and friendly. Also, check out their Sample Sale store location if you are trying to find something on a lower budget! Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved working with The White Room. I am actually from Louisiana and traveled to and from Alabama for all of my fittings and extras for my dress. My mom and I had the best experience and it was worth every mile to us. They treated us like family. You know you are in the right place when you don't feel like just the next girl in line trying to get a dress. My daughter & I went dress shopping in Oct. for her wedding dress for a May wedding. The first & onlyplace we went was the White Room. We had another appointment but canceled it. Cathy took my daughter and talked to her about dresses. My daughter really didn't know what she wanted but CAthy did. She selected several dresses. When my daughter came out in the first dress it was a AH HA moment. She tried on 4 or 5 more and sometimes she didn't even make it to the mirror. She said it wasn't worth looking at it once she had it on. THe best thing about it was their Sample Sale started the day we arrived and we were their first appointment. The dress we bought was half price and it fit her to a TEE. It did have to be hemmed & the straps taken up about 2" but that was it.

They were a little snooty, but in the end I found a sample that fit perfectly that I couldn't pass up. People at other places were much nicer though.
