A+++ experience for plus-sized bride

As a plus-sized bride, I LOVED my experience at The White Dress. 10/10 stars.

I was a 2020 bride who had to postpone due to COVID. In 2019, I went shopping at The White Dress and while I did not purchase my dress from them INITIALLY, I had an amazing experience. During COVID, I was diagnosed with a disability & developed mobility issues that impacted my body shape and made my original "perfect dress" impossible to wear. I was dreading shopping for a second dress, and it had impacted all my feelings about replanning. I reached out to TWD and let them know about my situation, since I had such a good experience with them the first time around. I was very nervous, but their staff worked with me with almost daily communication leading up to my appointment. They had a number of samples in my size and worked hard to get their hands on any other samples that I was interested in. I am still getting used to my new body and grieving my old dress, but they made me feel beautiful and they worked hard to make sure I didn't have a single uncomfortable moment. They were incredibly supportive and sensitive throughout the whole process, honored my budget and found ways to try to save me money, and truly made me feel good in my new shape and my new dress (obviously, I did decide to purchase my new dress from them!). I feel so relieved and I'm actually excited about my wedding and planning again (which I wasn't expecting to experience this time around). Marissa B was so sweet and communicative and went above and beyond leading up to my appointment to secure samples in my size and according to my interests, and Paige was my consultant on the day of and was the best hypewoman I could've imagined (and had the vision to pull the dress I ended up buying). I am so grateful for this experience, this shop, and these two TWD consultants in particular. Thanks, TWD!

Highly Recommend!

The White Dress helped me find my perfect dress! The shop is cute and I loved that all the dresses were out on display and not in bags so they were easy to browse through. Katelyn was super sweet! I thought I knew what I wanted going into the appointment but ended up with something different that she pulled. She was super helpful explaining the options available to personalize the different dresses as well. I was nervous going into wedding dress shopping but they made me feel comfortable and made the process fun! Would definitely recommend looking for your dress here!

Highly Recommend!

I had an such an amazing experience. The staff at The White Dress are absolutely amazing! My stylist Katelyn did such an amazing job pulling dresses and making me feel so comfortable. So was very mindful in making sure I was comfortable trying on all silhouette to find the perfect fit for me. The had such a large selection of plus size dresses (not just regular sizes) I found The White Dress originally on The Knot. I went to their Instagram and then Tik Toks and knew it was the first Bridal Shop I wanted to make an appointment at. There was a Stella York trunk show and the representative from Stella York was also very helpful and also pulled dresses. I did not think I would find my dream dress (even though I never dreamed of picking the style I did) and then cry happy tears when I knew it was MY DRESS. If you are looking for the perfect experience I highly recommend going to the The White Dress in Brighton.

AMAZING experience!!

I highly highly recommend The White Dress! We were greeted by so many friendly faces as soon as we arrived for my appointment and were quickly taken back to our own little room. My bridal stylist, Allie, was seriously the best! She started by just talking with me about the look I was going for, as well as taking my measurements. Every dress she pulled for me to try was exactly my style and she was the BEST hype woman!! If you are looking for a personalized, fun wedding dress shopping experience, definitely check out The White Dress!

I had a fantastic experience from the moment I reached out to schedule my appointment! The team was incredibly professional, and my stylist, Narissa, was simply amazing. I went in with an open mind, and she expertly guided me through different styles, helping me find the perfect dress that made me feel beautiful.

What I appreciated most was her commitment to staying within my budget—she never brought out a dress that exceeded my limit without my approval first. It made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and Narissa for anyone looking for a wonderful dress-shopping experience!

Amazing Experience!

WOW-- I had such a wonderful and positive experience here! From the moment I walked in, the staff was super warm and friendly, and the store felt very cozy and clean. The staff also very clearly care about their customers -- They had clearly prepared in advance for my visit, knew exactly what type of dress I was looking for, and even knew my exact wedding date! This was such a difference experience from some of the other bridal stores I've gone to recently. They really know what they're doing here, as well as how to make their customers feel taken care of and special. They went absolutely above and beyond to make my experience memorable and special, and I am so beyond grateful to have found this store! This will be your best experience.

Out of the numerous bridal salons I went to, visiting The White Dress was the best experience! Staff at the White Dress were very knowledgeable and helped me find "the" dress quickly and efficiently. They truly listened to my vision and helped hand pick several options. They also made the actual experience of trying on the dresses comfortable and easy (which I appreciate after some prior experiences). The shop has a great selection of dresses and accessories of different styles. I'd recommend any bride to stop in!

Wonderful Experience!

The White Dress was my first and only stop for my wedding dress shopping. I loved that I could browse their dresses online and they are transparent about pricing. They are also well organized, including the way they have their dresses sorted in the shop, and made trying on dresses a fun and seamless process. Paige was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I never felt pressured and they were communicative from dress purchase to pick up day. We got our bridesmaid dresses from here as well, they offer a great variety of styles and the color palette looked so good! The entire staff is sweet and accommodating, if you're looking for a top-notch wedding dress shop, do not think twice about The White Dress!

Highly Recommend

The White Dress boutique was my first experience with trying on dresses, and I couldn't have been more happy with my experience. My stylist Katelyn was awesome, she was super patient with me, as I went into my appointment with basically knowing nothing about what I wanted. Katelyn took the time to explain each dress in detail including the name, design, and color of each dress. She was so excited for my when I found the one. Absolutely fantastic bridal shop!

I had a great experience at TWD. My appointment was with Michaela and she was super helpful. She listened to what I wanted and let me take my time. She was super friendly, kind and understanding. The whole staff is great there too. They all come and check in on you throughout your appointment and make sure everything is going smoothly and that your are finding what you’re looking for.

TWD was my first store going to for trying dresses and I did not think I would find a dress so quickly but they really did a great job picking dresses out and helping you find the style you like and eventually the perfect dress for you!

I highly recommend The White Dress for wedding shopping if you live in the area.

I said yes to the dress!

I had an AMAZING experience at TWD today. I had an appointment with Paige, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was fun, knowledgeable, friendly, informative, never pushy, and just elevated the whole energy of the appointment. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating from beginning to end, and the boutique itself is gorgeous!

I could not be more pleased with how my appointment went today. I ended up saying yes to the dress! I chose a gown after Paige pulled it for me. I wasn't sure about it on the hanger, but I thought I'd give it a try --- and I'm SO glad I did! What a stunning dress! It was exactly what I was looking for -- the perfect mix of classy and sexy. I would not have thought to try it had Paige not pulled it. Paige definitely knows her stuff, and I'm so grateful! I told her she's my bridal fairy godmother, LOL!

I highly recommend The White Dress. It's a must-visit for any bride in the Metro Detroit area!

Such a great experience!

The White Dress is an incredible experience. The consultants were so patient, kind, and accommodating to me and my large group. I loved that I could pick out dresses online to try on before hand and that I was able to walk around the store with the consultants to look at dresses. Compared to other wedding dress shopping experiences, this one was by far the most personal and comfortable. There was no pressure to pick my dress the first appointment, and when I did come back and pick the dress the celebration was so fun! It was a pleasure to work with Rachel and Annie. I definitely recommend shopping for your dream dress at The White Dress!

Amazing, Over the top!

I booked my appointment to try on different styles since I had never worn a big dress before. I ended up finding my dress and I am so amazed at my experience. Personable and Perfect!

My experience at the white dress was wonderful! Brittany helped me with my fitting but other store employees were also engaging and attentive to us, which was really nice for a first time dress shopping experience. I was really nervous, but they made us feel welcome in their shop. Brittany was so good at listening to my wants and needs while also accommodating 5 other friends and family. I felt calm, while also THRILLED when I found the one! It was the most perfect experience, and to top it all off, we had complimentary bubbly to celebrate saying YES to the dress! I had the best experience at The White Dress! Brittany was a joy to work with and really went above and beyond to make my shopping experience enjoyable and fun. The whole staff made me feel welcomed and special. The MOST amazing!

The staff was so attentive and supportive of every detail I was hoping to get out of a dress. The Perfect Place!

The White Dress was my first appointment to try on wedding dresses - and my last! The moment we walked in I felt at ease during what could be a stressful experience. We were greeted with smiles and excitement. My stylist Katelyn was patient with me, making sure she learned about my style, my finance, and my wedding. I went in not knowing exactly what I was looking for, but Katelyn made it easy to find the dress that was meant for me. She took the time to explain the silhouette and design of each dress. And carefully listened to my feedback after each dress try-on to be able to find the perfect dress for me. The store owner even checked in on us during the appointment to make sure everything was going smoothly. I am so happy with my experience at The White Dress and would without a doubt recommend it to any brides looking for their dress!

Amazing experience

I had been to several other Bridal shops before this one. I had liked other dresses at the other shops but wasn't completely thrilled nor did they try harder to wow me with other dresses. Walked in to The White Dress and was immediately impressed at the vast selection of dresses. Staff was so welcoming and friendly upon arrival. Let me say I tried on about 15 or more dresses and had fallen in love with almost all of them. I could not believe how many gorgeous dresses they had. I had to tell my self not to try anymore because my save pile was growing. I finally said yes to the dress and there was absolutely no pressure into buying it. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a dress, even if you live far. So well worth driving to.

Gorgeous Shop with Outstanding Service

I had a really good experience at TWD - the shop is adorable, the staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly and the dress purchasing process was easy. The dress selection was huge, however, being plus size I was a bit disappointed with the sample sizes. There wasn't a single dress that I could put completely on and get a full picture of what it would look like, so choosing "the one" was harder for me, but Kristi and team were very sweet and gave me their honest opinions, which led me to finding the perfect dress. I absolutely loved my dress and thought it was extremely flattering. I wish I could wear it again and again!

One piece of advice - I highly recommend shopping around for alterations. The quote I was given from the shop was insanely more expensive than the other quotes I got (were talking north of $700 vs. about $200 for the same services), however this didn't effect my overall opinion of the shop since they do not require you to get alterations done in house.

Best Bridal Experience Yet!

I had been to a few salons and honestly never had fun trying on dresses. I found it all really stressful and not really what I had envisioned when I thought about finding a dress. The White Dress made the dress shopping experience easy from start to finish. Even booking the appointment was fun and informative. I loved the use of the google doc so they could learn more about me and what I was looking for before my appointment. Annie made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the shopping experience. Then when I found a dress it was celebrated and I knew I made the right choice! They check our process was informative and I just felt that the team at the White Dress goes above and beyond to make brides feel informed, special and celebrated. I'm so grateful for the experience and I bought a beautiful Stella York dress!

Highly recommend without a doubt

When growing up, I married my best friend and next-door neighbor countless times with and without his approval. I would make him stand in his Sunday best while I walked down the grassy aisle in a new styled toilet paper dress every time. I would create endless styles and designs with markers and tutu's to give myself a true ball gown and princess look. But with every dress came the consequence for using up all the toilet paper in the house.

Once I got older, I was into different styles and colors. Watching "Say Yes To The Dress" made my mind spin with endless possibilities. I always dreamed of having that special moment when every bride knows they found the gown with endless tears.

On October 13th, 2018, my best friend and high school sweetheart of 7 years, got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. Just to clarify, he was not the same boy who lived next door, but someone else that was placed in my life for a very special reason. I am so thankful for the boy who helped practiced my walk to the man of my dreams.

It wasn't until last Saturday, after years of anticipation, I had my special moment with my future mother-in-law, grandmother, step-mother, and little brother. All mouths dropped and tears flowed like a river.

I just wanted to take the time to personally thank everyone at The White Dress, for making all of my dreams come true! Every single worker took a special moment to say kind words to me and to congratulate me. We popped champagne and cried just a little longer. To anyone looking for the perfect dress with an exceptional experience, hands down I would recommend The White Dress in Brighton, Michigan

Incredible!

So to keep it 100% real, I tend to struggle taking reviews seriously some times. I feel like some of the best reviews make the place they're talking about seem "too good to be true." Well, this place is the POLAR OPPOSITE of that! Now brace yourselves because here I go!
OH.MY.GOSH. This salon is truly phenomenal!!!!! All the women who come together to make this salon run the way it does is incredible! I went in with my parents & sister and worked with Danielle. Now let me tell you something about Danielle....to have someone as sweet and upbeat as she is honestly made my experience here AT LEAST 100x better, guaranteed! She was VERY laid back and let me be ME (which is extremely picky & indecisive... yikes)! She was SO freaking patient and made us laugh and did literally everything she possibly could for us to have an unforgettable experience! NOT ONCE did she bring up what I should buy or was pushy in any way. We absolutely loved her! It was my first time going to a bridal salon and I ended up saying YES to the dress! Megan at the front desk said that their goal is to be the first & last salon any bride goes to so they can make every bride's dream come true and let me tell you...she's right!!! From the second I walked in the door to the goodbye, we had huge smiles on our faces and felt COMPLETELY at home. These woman are amazing and I recommend this wonderful place to EVERY bride!!! THANK YOU To the wonderful ladies! I'm SO proud to be a TWD bride!!!

Loved TWD!

Amazing staff. Beautiful dresses! I had a great time trying and finding my dress at TDW! I really wanted a tea length wedding dress but knew bridal shops only have a few in store. The staff helped me find my dress and envision it as tea length! I would recommend TWD to everyone!

Love TWD!!!

I completely loved my experience at TWD! I had been to a different shop in the area and while it was a great experience, I was blown away by my experience at TWD. I loved the adorable set up at the shop, the cute little bays where the brides and their parties could all have some privacy and the amazing staff. I understand the importance of the "little things" being a part of a small business in the area myself and TWD went above and beyond. From sending me a pre-appointment survey so they could know what I was looking for before I even set foot in the store, to having my name on a board to greet me when I walked in, to the owner, Kristy giving me a personal tour of the shop, to my stylist, Meg making sure she understood my venue, my desires and being able to personally bring me a dress that I would end up buying by paying attention and listening to me throughout my appointment, this place is THE BEST! And I never ever felt pressured to buy anything! They even give their brides a cute little bag with a little gift, champagne to celebrate and take your polaroid picture! I highly recommend!

The best experience!

I had the best experience at The White Dress! It was the first bridal store I went to and I found my dress. The store was organized and had a great selection. Nerissa was AMAZING. She was extremely accommodating, patient, and kind. She made the experience so much fun and she immediately felt like one of our friends! Highly recommend coming to this store!

The BEST place to find your dress!

I had the best experience at The White Dress! All of the staff were so nice and friendly, but I want to give a special thanks to Danielle. She made the process of dress shopping so easy and stress free. I never once felt pressured or rushed through my shopping experience. Most places try to get you in and out, but she was patient and gave me as much time as I needed. I went in nervous thinking I wouldn’t find anything, because I am such a picky person, but they have so MANY options. I ended up loving all the dresses I tried on, and left saying YES to the dress. Far Beyond My Expectations!

My mom and I visited The White Dress after a recommendation from a co-worker. I was beyond impressed with their selection! Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to help me friend my dream dress. I would have never expected to find such a beautiful gown within my price range, but I did during a Stella York trunk show. Not only did I find my dream wedding dress but I also had my dress altered there and bought my bridesmaids dresses there too. The White Dress was simply amazing and went far above my expectations for a bridal salon. I recommend them to all of my friends and family!

Beautiful wedding dresses

Had scheduled appointments at 3 vendors. White dress was the first and last bridal salon we went to for the wedding service. From the beginning thru fittings the service was exceptional. Made you feel like a princess. A huge assortment of dresses and veils. Tammy the seamstress was excellent and fun to work with per alterations.

THE wedding shop

The perfect wedding shop! I can’t recommend this shop enough. The staff is AMAZING! They know there stuff. They’re able to watch your reactions and listen to your requests and pull dresses for you. That’s exactly what happened to me, and that’s the dress I ended up choosing. There selection is outstanding also. They have so many different options at all different price points. This is THE place you need in your life, to get the perfect dress.

Beautiful dresses

The dresses are beautiful and all the ladies were so nice. Annie picked out tons of dresses I would have never even thought to try on. I had a hard time choosing the one because I loved so many dresses here. I said yes to the dress and got to do a champagne toast to top off the wonderful experience! Went to a few other places to try on dresses before here and none compare! No rush or pressure to pick a dress.

Best Experience Ever

The White Dress was my first dress shop I went to. The entire staff was AMAZING and made me feel so comfortable when trying on dresses. When I came back to the store with 9 of my family members (including 3 grandmas), they made everyone excited for my dress! I had visited one other bridal store and the customer service couldn't even compare to The White Dress.. I would 100% tell every bride to make the trip to find their dress here :)

Fantastic Wedding Dresses!

Kristy, the owner is fabulous. My dress came in at the perfect time and they already anticipated my future bridal dress fittings! I did not have to stress about getting it fitted in time. I was able to pick up my dress the day before my wedding and store it there until then! I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses here and they were absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for a better dress selection! Thank you to The White Dress Shop!

Best Experience

The best experience I have ever had and found my dress here. I was recommended here by a friend. I worked with Emily who was beyond amazing and so helpful. She made the whole experience super fun. One thing I loved the most about this place is they had such a huge selection on wedding dresses as well as bridesmaids dresses. Each bride gets her own private fitting area with lots of space to bring people. Also has lots of mirrors so you can see yourself at every angle with the dress on. I recently bought my dress on 3/9/19; I found my dress that morning with my bride crew and halfway through the day I called the store back to ask them if we could come back to show the dress to mom. They said we were more then welcome to come back that same day so I could show my mom. When we went back I ended up buying my dress that night even though it was past there business hours. I will always recommend them to brides.

I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I cannot say enough about The White Dress. I was looking for a specific Madison James dress that I couldn't find ANYWHERE. From the moment I called asking about it to the moment I left with my dress, my experience with the ladies at TWD was absolutely phenomenal.

I called on a Wednesday and they got me in for an appointment on Saturday. Even though we were a half hour late because of the weather, they still kept my appointment and were so friendly! I was in and out in about 15 minutes with my dream dress ($299 in their sample sale!!). It fits like a glove and their customer service has been amazing - they even sent a handwritten thank-you note.

Amazing experience

Mary was my assistant for my special day and she was truly amazing! I had a "not so great" experience the day before for my first dress shopping appointment at another salon that left me feeling a little on edge - it was chaotic, overwhelming, and I felt like the assistant was dressing me as if I were her and not listening to my vision (I will admit I am a low-stress bride that didn't do a ton of research because I wanted to be open-minded). HOWEVER, Mary was a breath of fresh air! Her bubbly energy was contagious and she created the most AMAZING and FUN experience for myself and my rather large party which I knew going in, was a lot to ask (I have the type of family where everyone loves to be a part of it and it's hard to say no to those wanting to come - I even had my bridesmaid who lives out-of-state there on FaceTime). The whole experience was so exciting as my bridal party, mom and soon-to-be mother-in-law got to look through all of the BEAUTIFUL gowns selecting our favorites - I felt like a princess! This was a challenging situation with helping all of the women feel included I am sure, but she did it effortlessly! It was the most fun experience of my whole wedding planning and she helped me to find my dress in no time! I didn't even have to go through my likes or dislikes - she looked at the dresses we selected, helped me to find what silhouette complimented my frame the best, and while I thought I had found the perfect dress, she took out a dress she just HAD to show me and it was the dress of my dreams!!! I have never felt more beautiful in my life - truly a magical, effortless, fun experience that myself and my party continue to rave about as we look back on it! I found THE dress!!

I highly, highly recommend scheduling your first dress appointment at The White Dress. I have had an amazing experience with everyone I have came in contact with here. This was my first and only stop, I said YES TO THE DRESS and am so happy that I chose to work with the ladies at TWD. Kristy and Nerissa were my consultants, but I am sure they are all amazing. The dress I chose, the Kristy talked me into trying, ended up being the dress that I LOVED. It was the opposite of what I thought I wanted so I am so glad she got me into it! Not only were they great with me, but they were great with the guests I brought along, making conversation with them while I was getting changed into the next dress. The top things that stood out to me about my visit were: Everyone was friendly, they didnt suggest anything that was out of my budget, they were patient and never pressured me to buy anything. Once I found THE dress, I was able to customize it to make it my own which is something I am super excited about. We did a champagne toast and took a ton of pictures, which I am so happy we had the opportunity to do. Make TWD your first stop and you wont regret it!

The 2nd Easiest "Yes" I've Ever Said

Right after saying the easiest "yes" to my fiance, I said the easiest "yes" to my dress at The White Dress. Had such a fantastic time there! It was my first and only stop for my bridal gown. Meg was my consultant and she was absolutely fantastic. She was professional, patience, and I felt that she gave me her honest opinion. The store was pretty busy while we were there but with our appointment we had a beautiful and comfortable space to try on dresses, and again Meg gave me her full attention. To have a sales person really see my reactions and listen to what I wanted, liked, disliked, desired, etc really makes a difference. And because she did... she actually picked out my dress = ) With a champagne toast to celebrate, I didn't feel pushed or rushed to get out of my dream dress or head to the register. When I did the staff at the desk were so helpful, reassuring, and answered all the questions I had before I even asked them. Couldn't have asked for more! Had a wonderful time and would recommend to ANY bride!

I found my perfect wedding dress from The White Dress. I procrastinated long enough and had no luck/not ideal service at other bridal shops. My mom knew the style I was looking for and found that Stella York had many styles that fit my idea. She found through TWD's website that they carried that designer. We found my dress on the first trip and we couldn't have asked for better service. We were able to look at the dresses ourselves (some locations prefer you not to which makes it a difficult process!) and pick the ones we liked the best. The shop size is not overwhelming and is very organized. All of the staff were very helpful and courteous throughout the entire process. There was no pressure or trying to up-sell. It was a great experience that my mom and I will remember! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at TWD! They were my 3rd store that I went to and I found my dress there. They have wonderful customer service with lots of thoughtful touches. When we got there, we greeted by friendly staff. I went for a sample sale so they showed us a tour of the store including an explanation of the sample sale. Not once did anyone treat me lesser b/c I was there for a sample gown. The experience was just as special as if I were trying on a dress to order.The consultant I worked with had already taken a look at my pinterest board and showed me options based off what I seemed to like. We were allowed to search for the dresses ourselves and take as many pictures as we wanted. The quality of dresses was better than the previous stores I had shopped at and were significantly more flattering on me at TWD. The experience was great for the girls shopping with me b/c the consultant took care of everything and my girls got to sit in a private viewing area to see the dresses once they were on and pinned back. There were other private areas for other brides and I could hear other girls having just as great of an experience and "saying yes to the dress." After seeing what a great store TWD is, my best friend who is also engaged, scheduled her own appointment in which she also found her dress. I'd recommend them, and have recommended them, to anyone!

The white dress was perfect in every way. I traveled to Brighton, Mi from Louisville, Ky. Everyone at the shop was so personable and friendly. The shop was so cute and everything I ever imagined. I ended up buying a dress I would have never thought of trying. My consultant listened to me and she found the perfect dress. I never felt uncomfortable or over whelmed by the process. I don’t think I could say enough amazing things about TWD! My consultant Annie was not only amazing but she ended up picking out the dress I picked! I walked in knowing three major things I didn’t want! Ball gown, tight fitting and no strapless, Annie listened and allowed myself, my mom and my MOH to pick out some dresses we liked and then Annie pulled a few! The very last dress I put on was one she pulled and it was the one, best part is it was strapless and tight fitting! Ahh I seriously thought I knew what I wanted but Annie took all my likes and dislikes about the dresses I tried on and listened and was able to find the perfect dress to match my vision! I would recommend this shop to any and every bride! Not only was it a wonderful experience but it was my first time shopping and didn’t think I’d walk out with a dress! Thank you ladies so so much for helping me find the best most wonderful dress to make my day amazing!! To top it off we got to do a champagne toast and Annie let me and my group enjoy the moment alone and take it all in!

I said yes to the dress at TWD!! From the moment my mom & I walked in until the moment we walked out I was treated like a princess! I didn't know how I would choose because I loved every single dress I tried on, but Kristy (the owner) brought me a STUNNING and UNIQUE dress that was the perfect combination of everything I loved!!! I would highly recommend this bridal salon to all future brides! I will be going back for bridesmaid dresses too!

Absolutely loved my experience at TWD! They greeted me by name when I came in, and Kristin did an amazing job helping me find the perfect dress! Nothing but great things to say about TWD! This was the first bridal shop that I went to so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my experience was amazing from the minute I walked in the door. Everyone made me feel so comfortable, special & beautiful and they have such a wide variety (style & price)! My stylist, Krystin, was so helpful and was able to quickly figure out ‘my style’ and offered great recommendations. We had a pretty private area (comfortably fit the 7 of us), and other friendly faces from the shop popped into the room throughout my visit to offer additional feedback (always nice to get feedback from the experts)!
I loved quite a few of the dresses that I tried on but the third dress that I tried on instantly wowed me and my family. I didn’t buy it that day but couldn’t stop thinking about it (even after trying on 10+ more dress) so I ended up going back a week later to try it on again and ordered it.
I emailed the shop with some questions after my first visit and Kristy, the owner, always responded very quickly. She remembered me from my visit the week prior which really impressed me since she meets so many brides. She offered to let me come in early for my second visit, before they opened, since they were fully booked that day. Kristy was there during my second visit and recognized me right away, and my stylist that day, Katelyn, was just as friendly & helpful.
I went to three other shops after TWD & the experience just wasn’t the same… the others were okay but not great. One of the shops wouldn’t even let me look at or pick dresses on my own – they insisted on picking for me based on pictures that I showed them. At TWD, they gave me space & let me and my family look around so I could decide what I wanted to try on – but also brought in some options that they thought I would like too. TWD definitely has the biggest selection and friendliest staff. Overall, TWD definitely gets 5+ stars in my book. Thanks for the great experience!

After having a poor experience else where, and knowing I loved Stella York, I booked an appointment with the girls at The White Dress! My appointment fell during their Stella York trunk show and I couldn't be more thankful for that. I found the dress of my dreams there! (which could end up being 1 of a kind) :) I would highly recommend any bride looking for a great dress to try them out!

had the most wonderful experience at The White Dress. I came in with my mom and sister one day randomly over summer and they were so happy and eager to help me look for my dress even without an appointment or anything! The store overall had a very open and homey feel and they really made me just feel welcome and like they were just as excited as me. This was the very first store I tried and so I tried on a massive amount and variety of dresses to help get a feel for what I liked and Annie was beyond helpful and made the picking of dresses and getting them on and off easy and pleasant. Annie really went above and beyond hand picking dresses that had aspects of what I liked from dresses I had already tried on. I then came back months later for a trunk show and said yes to one of my original dresses! The trunk show was a great experience and I really loved being a part of that. Kristy, the owner, was there and was so helpful and warm and just yet another amazing lady working towards my dream dress. Overall, this place was my very first and very last stop for my wedding dress. They have a huge variety of wedding dresses and include quite a bit of every different style. It had such a great atmosphere and all of the ladies working were genuine and extremely helpful and I cannot wait to go back to start shopping for my bridesmaid dresses!

TWD was the perfect experience! The staff were clearly experienced, and made me feel right at home. Annie found a stunning dress that I cannot stop thinking about, and provided such a friendly and warm experience. I am so happy I decided to come here for my bridal gown. Annie knew the perfect dress for me even though I would never have picked it out myself, and did not plan to leave the salon having chosen a dress. I would recommend everyone go here. They have an excellent selection of dresses, and they are reasonably priced. I had a book full of dresses and fully expected to spend months looking for gown. Thank goodness Annie knew what to pick!

This shop is fantastic. The staff are very helpful and patient. Lisa helped me and she was wonderful. They have a great selection of dresses and I know I made the right choice on mine because I was able to try on so many others.

From the moment I stepped into The White Dress, I felt comfortable and like I was special. I had been to two other stores that same day and I was feeling a little tired and frustrated. But my consultant, Lisa, was so helpful and not at all pushy, which is exactly what I needed after a long day of shopping. I ended up narrowing it down to two dresses at the end and they were both my favorites from the whole day--this store has so many beautiful options. Lisa and the Kristy, the owner, were insanely patient with me as I tried on both dresses multiple times, walked around the store to see them in different lighting, and tried on various accessories. Even when the store closed and we were the last people there, I didn't feel rushed. I ended up choosing my dream dress and we celebrated with champagne. It was a great experience, and the perfect end to the day. I would recommend The White Dress to anyone looking for both their dream dress and an amazing experience!

I absolutely loved my experience at The White Dress. I was pretty indecisive in my search for the perfect dress and they did not once get frustrated or tell me I need to decide what I want like other salons have done. They even pulled a dress from the back that they thought I would love and it ended up being the dress I bought! They were always there FOR ME. Once I found my dress, they did a champagne toast and took a fun photo. I loved every moment and would recommend them to any bride in search for their perfect gown.

I said yes to my dress!! This was the first bridal shop I had gone to and was not anticipating that I was going to walk out the same day with finding the one! Scheduling an appointment with TWD was super easy. I booked an appointment online and within 5 minutes I received a phone call. TWD has a classy, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. I love that the dresses are organized by silhouettes, makes it so much easier. The prices were great - reasonable! I appreciated Kristy, the owner greeting herself and being involved in the process as well, makes for a personalized/special experience. I can not wait for my dress to come in!!

I had a wonderful experience at The White Dress! I stumbled upon this store on Instagram and fell in love with the way they talked about their real brides, presented their dresses, and showed their close knit staff. I went a year before my wedding and this was my first and only stop to finding my dream gown. I worked with Annie, and she was very attentive to what I was looking for, as well as accommodating to the bridesmaids and family that I brought with me. She was aware of my budget, and did not pull dresses that exceeded it without asking first. My wedding dress was the second one that I tried on, but I tried on nine others just to be sure! The White Dress has a great selection of dresses that are organized by style and they are all reasonable priced! They also sell jewelry, shoes, hair clips, and belts to accessorize and have a selection of bridesmaid and mother-of-the bride/groom dresses. I did my alterations there, and had a great experience with the seamstress as well. The White Dress allowed me to store my dress there at no charge until the Wednesday before my wedding, which is not a common feature at a lot of other stores! The owner of the store walked around and visited with all the brides trying on dresses during their initial appointments and fittings. All of the girls working at The White Dress were extremely friendly and seemed genuinely happy for me and all of the other brides I encountered! I had such a wonderful experience that I referred two friends to go there, and both found their dream dresses there as well! When I chose my dress, they poured a glass of champagne for me and my friends and family that came with me! I highly recommend The White Dress to any bride that is on the hunt for the dream dress paired with amazing service!

If you are looking for an enjoyable experience from the minute you walk into the door, to the time you walk out with your dress in hand, The White Dress is the place to go! I found my wedding and bridesmaids dresses, and also had my alterations done here. It was nice and convenient to find it all one spot. I received so many compliments on my dress, and so did the bridesmaids.

I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful boutique to any bride! Every aspect from scheduling the appointment to leaving the store was so easy and fun. I felt so special and totally pressure free. The consultants truly make an effort to make a connection and find out about who you are and what your dream wedding looks like so that they can help find the perfect dress for YOU. There is such an array of dresses, each so beautiful, and a sales rack with equally as stunning dresses that don't break the bank. When I found my dress, Mary brought a veil to help seal the deal, then left me alone with my mom to soak up the moment. I felt like a bride, beautiful and special. The White Dress is truly spectacular and wonderful at what they do!

The White Dress was the best bridal experience that I have had! I went to 4 different places and felt as though I would never find MY dress. I went to The White Dress twice. The first time I thought I had found my dress, so I went back a few weeks later and I was wrong.... once I went back I was the only bride in the shop and everyone was so willing to help and listen to my wants and I found not only THE dress but my absolute dream dress!!!!! All of the TWD staff was there to help me and to make me feel so special. All of the dresses were so reasonably priced and gorgeous! Also, it is all organized by style which is SUPER helpful. It truly was the greatest experience and everything I could have asked for in a bridal shop.

I was SO happy with the entire experience I had at The White Dress. From the moment I walked in I was so excited to get started. The place is so neatly organized and the staff is so inviting. I truly felt like I was the only one in the store even when I wasn't. Lisa went above & beyond to help me find my wedding dress. She was patient and helpful, while still allowing the choices remain in my hands. My sister (MOH), mom & future MIL came with me and they all couldn't agree more with how outstanding our time was at TWD. We also thought it was super professional that the owner, Kristy, came over and introduced herself during our time there. I drove 1.5 hours to go to TWD and would recommend anyone else near and far to make the trip to TWD :) You won't regret it!

My experience at The White Dress was outstanding! They really know how to make you feel special and give you a great dress-shopping experience. I loved the way the dressing rooms were set up so that you had a private area for you and your party, and the floor was well organized and open for everyone to look around. I also went in with an open mind about what I would find, and Meg helped me narrow it down to the perfect dress! I first had the opportunity to make some selections myself, and as I got a better idea of what I liked, she listened to my feedback and was able to offer some great options as well. I purchased my dress, veil, headpiece, and jewelry, and had several fittings at The White Dress, and everyone who assisted me along the way was so friendly and supportive. Kristy, the owner, is also very involved in the process, and she makes sure you are fully satisfied. I couldn't be any happier with my time spent there or with the dress I found for my big day, so thank you to everyone at The White Dress! I truly love this place and would highly recommend! As a Brighton native, when I saw that this place had opened up down Main St., I swore that I would visit it when I became engaged. Many of my friends have also gotten their dresses from here, so needless to say, I was so excited to make that first appointment. This was the first place I went to try on dresses and I wasn't expecting to find "the one" on the first visit, but I was wrong! Everyone that I worked with was fantastic (Kristy/Krystin) and they definitely went above and beyond to make sure I found "the one."What I loved most about this place was that they had a wide variety of dresses--including the more eccentric/non-traditional ones that I was going for. They even picked out dresses that I hadn't ever thought of trying on before, which made my decision even harder! In the end, they were very patient with my indecisive mind and helped me narrow my decision down until I finally found what I was looking for. Until I visited TWD, I hadn't really thought about what I would look like as a bride on my wedding day and now I can't wait to walk down the aisle in my dress! Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Had the best experience at The White Dress!! It was such a comfortable environment, and there was no pressure to make an instant decision, which was nice. So many beautiful styles to choose from...and the consultant was so helpful (and nonjudgmental). When we sat down to order "The One," Kristy recognized my future sister-in-law (she was a TWD bride also!) and told us that our dresses were made by the same designer! Such a special connection! I am a bride from Arizona and The White Dress was very accomodating to my schedule, as we usually had to fit in appointments during my visits to Michigan. Meg was our consultant the day of try-ons, and she was super helpful in finding dresses I liked and working with my family and I. The salon itself is beautiful and each bride gets there own private space to work in. We also got pink champagne when I said yes! They always made me feel welcome walking in the door and even the alterations appointments made me feel special. Thanks so much for the great experience and helping me find my dream dress. From try-ons to the finishing touches, I could not have asked for more.

I went to 6 other bridal salons before finding my dress at The White Dress. My entire experience at TWD was much more special than anywhere else--from the moment we walked in, to the pink champagne after I said yes. TWD makes you feel like the most special bride. It took me some time to pull the trigger and say yes, but I never felt rushed or pressured. There is a huge range of dress styles, and they're organized by shape which makes shopping so much easier. And unlike other stores, the sample dresses are kept in beautiful shape--nothing is dirty, torn, or with beading falling off. I actually ended up purchasing a sample gown, and I believe it's as pristine as it would be if we ordered it. All of the staff, and our consultant were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would recommend TWD to every bride.
