Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From the very beginning, we felt genuinely cared for and supported. Brittney went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, and because of her, our day felt calm, joyful, and completely stress-free. We were able to be fully present and soak in every moment, which is truly priceless.
The food was absolutely incredible. It wasn’t just “good wedding food” — it was unforgettable. Seeing our guests’ reactions and hearing the compliments all night long meant so much to us. Sharing such a beautiful meal with the people we love made the day even more special.
And the venue itself… breathtaking. It created the most magical atmosphere and felt like a dream come true. Every space was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, making our wedding feel intimate, elegant, and full of love.
We will forever be grateful to this venue and Brittney and her team for helping create memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. If you’re looking for a place that pours heart and soul into what they do, this is it. 🤍 -

Brittney, her husband Matt and their family all do an outstanding job. From wedding planning, communication, rehearsal, house rentals, food, set up, clean up… they made a big dream a reality. All involved were very respectful and professional. My parents, Dad especially (very hard man to please), couldn’t stop telling me enough how wonderful and perfect the venue, food, details and everything in between was.. even their stay at the house my family rented across the street. Bridal suite…also phenomenal and highly recommend! Brittney and family made everything run so smoothly, even my dad said he would recommend the venue to absolutely anyone and every penny was well worth spent. I truly cannot thank Brittney enough for not only making OUR day perfect, but for making our money more than well spent! I had SEVERAL friends and family say it was the BEST wedding and venue overall that they have EVER attended (coming also from very brutally honest people lol). One person specifically stated they didn’t miss a beat on any single thing especially with keeping food fresh (he runs a restaurant in Tennessee and is very big into the culinary aspect, so that alone says a lot). Brittney and Matt are amazing people and the venue is beautiful!! Made our perfect day as stress free as possible. If you are wondering if the money is worth it, IT IS. 1000x recommend! -

The white barn at lucas farm was a 100000/10 experience. Wedding planning seemed overwhelming at first but as soon as we met Brittney with her elegant yet comforting expertise, I knew we picked the right place for our wedding. Ever single stressor became a breeze, not to mention the jaw dropping venue! i couldn’t recommend getting married here more for the best wedding venue all around, from the coordination, to the food, to the venue, to the decorations, to absolutely everything. It was the best day of our lives and if I could do it over again, i’d pick the white barn at lucas farm every single time!! -

The most magical venue & amazing staff!
My spouse and I recently had the pleasure of having our wedding at the White Barn At Lucas Farm in Oakland, MD. It was such an incredible experience from start to finish.
First and foremost, the communication with Brittney was exceptional. Right from our initial inquiry to the very day of our wedding, she exhibited professionalism, responsiveness, passion, organization etc. She was helpful in offering suggestions but ensured everything was just as we had wished, down to every last detail. She made us feel special and valued and truly eased the wedding planning process significantly.
The White Barn At Lucas Farm is undoubtedly a one-stop-shop for all your wedding needs. The venue itself is breathtaking, the convenience of having both the ceremony and reception in one location simplified our day, the decorating and coordination by Brittney and her team made it stress free, and the catering was top notch!
Our entire family was able to enjoy the day knowing that we were in capable hands throughout the entire event, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our special day.

Perfect Day
The White Barn at Lucas Farm was exactly what we dreamed our wedding day would be. It was truly the perfect day. We knew this was exactly where we wanted to get married as soon as we stepped foot on the property. Brittney and Matt have built a first class venue. Not only is the place stunning, but Brittney made the entire process seamless. From helping choose the vendors, to selecting decorations, to coordinating each aspect of the day, we couldn't have been more pleased with her professionalism and her attention to detail. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the fairy tale wedding. -

Impecable Venue!
This venue is all I could ever have dreamed of and more! Brittney and Matt are incredible people to work with and are always thinking of ways to make their property stand out even more. Although the venue wasn't close to where we live, there was nothing that even compared to it and we knew that it was the place we needed to have our wedding. Brittney supplied me with a list of vendors in the area which helped tremendously! She was always quick to respond to my messages and always willing to video chat whenever I had questions. The day went as smoothly as possible; I truly couldn't have asked for a better day! I cannot recommend The White Barn enough; best choice we ever made! -

A Fairytale Wedding 💕
I will never be able to say enough great things about Brittney and Matt Lucas and the amazing wedding venue they have created. From the moment we toured the venue to our big day, everything was smooth and as stress free as possible. I showed Brittney pictures of what I liked/didn’t like for decorations and she made it come to life! I highly recommend having Brittney coordinate and rent as many decorations from her as possible. I went to the barn Friday before our wedding to drop off a few belongings (our wedding was on a Saturday) and it was all decorated and ready to go for our big day. She also handled taking care of greeting vendors and handling any questions they had. Saturday night all of our belongs were packed up and ready for us when the night was over. As a bride, this made my day soooo much easier and I got to enjoy myself/relax!! Our wedding day was even better than I could have ever imagined it to be and I will forever be thankful for Brittney, Matt and their team for helping us have our dream wedding. You will not regret having your special day at The White Barn!!! -

Elegant, beautiful country charm in a breathtaking location.
Living in Morgantown, WV, and just minutes from Pennsylvania, and Maryland, my daughter wanted the perfect place for her wedding and as a parent want the fairytale wedding for their daughter. We looked in PA and WV but once she saw the White Barn at Lucas Farms in Maryland and met Brittany Lucas, she was done looking for a venue, this was the place for her fairytale wedding. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and beautifully decorated inside and outside of the grounds.
We were not sure what the weather would be on Oct 23, but Brittany Lucas assured us that it would be magical no matter the weather. That morning it rained and rained all day, the temperature dropped down to 45 degrees. Brittany’s husband Matt was outside putting umbrellas up over the outside ceremony venue, drying seats, putting blankets out for guests. At 3:00 pm, the sun came out for the ceremony and nothing was going to stop this wedding and Brittany Lucas made sure that everything came together.
Brittany was so helpful to me as a parent. I have never put something like this together and did not know what to expect. She made it so painless. We not only secured the venue but also her assistance in coordinating the colors of the wedding to work with the décor of the tables and venue. Brittany also was the timekeeper, coach, and planner for the day of the wedding. She kept everyone on time from lining up the groomsmen, assisting the bride with her dress and bridal crew to the alter. She worked with the photographer (Rocha) and videographer (Elevated Media) who were amazing. Brittany also was so welcoming in preparing the bride and groom's golden doodle for pictures. Her staff Tonya knew exactly what type of bar list we would need and what to order and work for our venue. The Bridal suite and Groomsman suite for the bridal party were perfect, roomy, clean, and beautifully decorated.
Having the wedding at the White Barn at Lucas Farms was the best choice that my daughter and her husband made. The caterer was also suggested by Brittany. Goehringers catering is above and beyond fabulous, the lighting was magical and the drinks were plentiful. This was was enjoyable and stress-free, and working with Brittany and her staff made this the perfect location. -

They have continued to make renovations and improvement over the last few years to an already impeccable venue. Choosing to have our wedding at The White Barn at Lucas Farm is one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process! Trying to plan a wedding in the middle of a global pandemic was a nightmare, but Brittney and her team at The White Barn made sure that our wedding day was a perfect and beautiful experience despite the changes we had to make. Brittney was always quick to respond any time I had a question or request, and she handled my breakdowns over strict COVID guidelines like a pro. The venue was built beautifully, keeping in mind the little details that brides and photographers look for and want for a wedding. The natural beauty of the venue requires little decorating, but Brittney and her team decorated it to make it look like it came straight out of a fairytale. We also had Brittney do our wedding day coordination and the day flowed smoothly with no hiccups (that we were aware of). Our guests have told us over and over how beautiful our wedding was, and I owe it to Brittney, her team, and The White Barn for that. I can't recommend this venue enough to anyone considering it for their own wedding! -

The White Barn at Lucas Farm
In 2018, my husband stumbled across The White Barn after we had been searching for a wedding venue for a few weeks. We had viewed several locations within the surrounding area but none of them really stood out to us. We pulled into the drive of the barn and I gasp because I knew that this venue was THE ONE ! We met Brittney and her husband during the evening of the tour. It was such a breath of fresh air to meet an amazing, hard-working couple . She showed us the venue, and we immediately decided that we wanted The White Barn to be the place where we say "I DO!" I highly recommend hiring Brittney to coordinate and decorate the venue for your event. She is very talented and is able to bring any vision to life! She is very responsive to text and emails and is very organized. After I met with her the first time to go over wedding details, I knew that my wedding was going to be more than I ever expected! My husband and I had to cancel our original wedding date of May 23rd, 2020 due to COVID. She worked with us to secure a new date during the Fall of 2020. No words can describe our wedding day! Every detail was executed and the weather was beautiful! Thank you Brittney and Matt for the wedding of our dreams

We stumbled upon this beautiful venue while searching on google. We know this was where we wanted to get married the moment we came across it. Our wedding was literally built around this venue- in a matter of 2 months. Brittany is one of the nicest, cooperative, hardworking & efficient entrepreneurs I know! From our very first interaction, it has been such a pleasure. Her husband, Matt does all the beautiful landscaping & has such an eye for the best photo areas. The whole property is designed with corn fields & a huge oak tree at the center. Matt drove the whole wedding party around the land on his golf cart & supplied drinks the whole time. The entire venue is gorgeous and was worth the 5 hour drive from Delaware. I highly recommend hiring Brittany as the “day of coordinator” as she helps make that special day hassle free & completely flawless-both at the wedding ceremony & reception. She took care of all the vendors on that day and communicated efficiently with us. Brittany responds efficiently on email, text and even WhatsApp. Her inventory has a huge range of decorations to choose from and she has that talented eye for decoration & color- ranging from flowers, votives, candles, antique books, etc. The entire barn was designed by Brittany- the interior, little details, everything falls into this beautiful sweet view for the eyes. I love how everything has a personal touch! All our guests had such a good time and the wedding was like a dream. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day. Best venue ever!
Where do I even start! I booked the venue 2 years before my wedding and didn't have one single regret. Brittney Lucas helped make the whole wedding process so easy and fun. The venue is picture perfect from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the dancing and dinner! There is space for anything you could ever want. The venue is not like other "barns" or any other venue I've seen! It truly is one of a kind. I couldn't recommend the White Barn enough!!!! The second you visit the venue, I promise you will fall in love!! Wish I could get married here everyday, and having depression now that its over. But do yourself a favor and book this venue for a great experience. -

The White Barn at Lucas Farm was beyond amazing for our November wedding. We lucked out and were able to have our wedding outside, and the space could not have been more beautiful. Brittney does a FANTASTIC job of coordinating with her assistants and family, and everyone makes sure the day goes smoothly. We hired Brittney to do the decor and it was WELL worth it. Being able to come to the barn in the morning as the bride and only focus on getting ready versus having to worry about decorations and such getting set up was very convenient and she does a tremendous job. You can tell Brittney is extremely efficient as well as personable, friendly, and just amazing at what she does. We were so happy with our day at Lucas Farm and could not have been happier with how our wedding turned out!! -

Brittney made our lives SO easy on wedding day. The venue is so beautiful, and we received countless compliments. I truly can’t think of 1 thing that we would change about our wedding. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing the white barn was to have my dream wedding! My husband and I toured the White Barn in 2017 and knew it had to be our wedding venue! The venue is a DREAM. From the location,to the white barn, the decor EVERYTHING...It was totally my style and my husband new exactly that when he saw my face light up! Brittney the owner of the WB is beyond incredible. Where do I even begin?! The White Barn at Lucas Farm & The Lucas Family helped to make that dream that every little girl has of her wedding day, a reality for me. I stumbled upon this venue shortly after they opened when a friend of a friend shot a wedding there. I was watching her Insta story of the wedding and I said to myself “this is it, this is where I HAVE to get married!”. About a month later, my fiancé and I traveled out to beautiful Western Maryland and as soon as we pulled in the driveway and met Brittney, we got that feeling that couples are supposed to get when they find their dream venue. We were “one and done”. It was the only venue we looked at because we were hooked. We saw the venue, chose our date, and put down our deposit within about 4 hours because we just knew the White Barn was where we wanted our love story as husband and wife to begin. Brittney is honestly one of the most talented and friendly people I have ever met. Without her eye for farmhouse-chic beauty and her help in making our wedding day run as smoothly as it did, our day wouldn’t have been nearly as magical. I remember saying to guests the entire night “I’m just waiting for something to go wrong” because planning an event for 160 people is no easy task. Nothing did go wrong and plain and simple, our day wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was without Brittney. The White Barn is a gem of a venue and I just want to relive our wedding day everyday! Thank you Brittney & Matt for everything you did for Joey and I and for creating such a stunning venue! We wish you both the best of luck! -

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Brittney and her husband Matt this past year planning our big day. I found the venue online and immediately knew this is where I wanted us to get married. Brittney was so helpful throughout the entire process. She gave us so many amazing vendor recommendations-and we love everyone we went with! She helped us with our day of coordinating and everything flowed so seamless. We got hit with some pretty heavy rain right before our guests had arrived, but fortunately it halted and she made sure everything was addressed outside so we could still perform the ceremony by the pond like we had planned. Her husband Matt was also so lovely. We got the pleasure of meeting the man who helps bring all of Brittney’s breathtaking ideas to life. They truly are such an amazing couple. We are so lucky to have met them and worked with them in creating our special day! The communication and honesty I received from Brittney was so authentic. I could never say enough great things about The White Barn and Brittney. Our day turned out absolutely perfect thanks to Brittney going above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we pictured it. Our fairytale Wedding! Hurry and Book!
We just got married at the White Barn at Lucas Farm this past September on a gorgeous afternoon! We fell in love with the barn the moment we arrived and knew once we stood under the pergola that we had to get married there. The entire property is absolutely gorgeous and Brittany and Matt perfected every detail from start to finish! They truly are wonderful to work with. Very professional, responsive and attentive to every detail. Brittany and Matt coordinated our day and handled all of our vendors making it entirely stress free for us so we could truly focus on our special day! I’m not sure words are able to describe how breathtakingly beautiful The White Barn at Lucas Farm is, so I guess y’all will have to go and see for yourselves! Brittney is a lovely person and a true professional when it comes to planning the most important day of a person’s life; she blew me away with beautiful outdoor and indoor decorating that added so much detail to an already stunning venue. I am so glad I discovered this venue and decided to book with Brittney! The decor is absolutely stunning and the grounds are well manicured and picturesque. Brittney and Matt were both incredible to work with. Brittney made sure everything was set up perfectly and helped make sure everything went off without a hitch. In conversations during the day, both Matt and Brittney were ridiculously supportive, beaming with energy, and conveyed such a sincere love for what they're doing that it was contagious. Our day would not have been the same without them. If you have a chance to book the White Barn, do it. Absolutely would recommend!
I went to my friends wedding here in September. Everything about this place was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and was set up buffet style. The decor was fitting and clean. The view of the ceremony was absolutely breathtaking to include a gorgeous bright blue pond. The barn itself, jaw dropping. -

My husband and I were married at the White Barn June 2019. We could not have picked a more gorgeous venue. It was so convenient for our guests. Our ceremony was on site at the pond. The blue water and pergola with a chandelier gave it a romantic touch. Cocktail hour was held on the patio. We had 200 guests and the barn still felt spacious. You will not need many decorations, as the details of the barn are stunning. Brittney was very easy to work with. She answered all my questions in a timely manner. She kept the wedding day rolling and made sure finishing touches were nothing short of perfect. You will not go wrong by choosing The White Barn at Lucas Farm for your BEST DAY EVER. -

We got married at The White Barn in June 2019 and couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. The property itself is completely gorgeous. We booked The White Barn at Lucas Farm back in March 2018. We fell in love with the venue then, but seeing how much work Brittney and Matt continued to do to improve the barn, made us love it even more. During the planning process I was starting to get a bit stressed thinking about the decorations, little did I know, Brittney even offers the service of renting and decorating the tables and barn for you. She had exactly what I was envisioning. I had weight instantly weighted off my shoulders when I found this out. When we arrived at the barn the day before our wedding, it was completely decorated and ready to go. It was absolutely beautiful. The wedding was perfect and everyone had a blast. We still keep getting compliments from people saying how beautiful our wedding was. -

This venue is perfect in every way! The owners Brittney and Matt are so hard working and professional and help out in any way they can. They are always adding different touches to make it more unique. They made our wedding day a dream and we had the most amazing day. Choosing the White Barn as our wedding venue was hands down the best decision we made! We absolutely loved everything about our experience. Brittney and her husband worked so hard to ensure everything about our wedding was perfect and we really couldn't have asked for more! The Barn is such a magical and romantic place and all of our guests loved it! The entire process was so simple- communication with Brittney was always easy and fast, and she assisted me with everything we needed through planning. The barn was a destination for us, as we traveled from Baltimore to hold our wedding, and we are so happy we chose the White Barn! If you are looking for a beautiful, rustic place surrounded by gorgeous scenery you must look at the barn! We loved that we were able to bring in all of our vendors and make our wedding our own while also being surrounded by such a stunning place! I truly believe the barn is going to be one of the most sought after venues in the state, and we are so thrilled we got to share the best day of our lives there! -

Katelynn Sent on 10/14/2018The moment I walked through the doors of The White Barn I knew this was going to be our venue. We live 3 hours away and I didn’t care. I wanted something unique and this was just the place. Everything from top to bottom is beautifully made. I lost count of how many people have told me that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! We got married outside in front of the pond, where there are already hand made built in benches for your guests to sit. No need to rent chairs! Big umbrellas to cover your guests from the sun which is a great touch. The cocktail hour space is amazing! And the inside is a dream. Brittney does such a great job with interior design. She has rentals for pretty much anything you can think of for an affordable price. She also coordinates for you and makes sure everyone gets down the aisle correctly and at the right time. They offer a trash and clean up service which I would recommend to everyone! That took so much stress off of us and our families. Anything we needed, the owners were there to make our day perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Don’t wait, book now!

The Barn venue is beautiful inside and out. There are so many extra little things around the barn that add to it’s beauty (pond, silo, oak tree, fire pit, etc.). If that isn’t enough of a selling point Brittney and Matt (owners) make the whole package. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch. They acted without even being asked to. They are easy to work with and Brittney communicated with me constantly leading up to the wedding day. They were constantly behind the scenes making things happen and making sure everything went smoothly. I can not commend them enough for their professionalism and kindness. They are purely amazing at what they do. The day was perfect and it’s a huge thanks to them!

Not only is the venue itself perfect, but they are the most detail oriented, hardworking, and responsive owners out there. Brittney was so incredibly quick to answer any and all of my questions and made amazing referrals for preferred vendors. Not being from the area, I was not sure of who to contact, and I could not have been more at ease and pleased with everyone she recommended. It is very evident that so much love and dedication went into every aspect of the ceremony site, patio, grounds, and barn. From the time I booked the space, until the day of my wedding, they had made so many amazing upgrades and enhancements to the space (not that it even needed it!) Following my wedding, I have had so many people tell me it was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to, and they could not be more accurate. Thank you to Brittney and Matt Lucas (and Brittney’s sister who also helped out the day of) for making my special day absolutely amazing!!

Some say they don’t know where to begin, but it truly all began with The White Barn at Lucas Farm. When choosing a venue for our special day, I knew in my heart I was set on a white barn. However, never in a million years did I expect to know why I had such a soft spot for a white barn. This feeling wouldn’t of been so strong if it weren’t for Brittney - owner. Brittney’s dreams came true when her & her husband Matt built the barn and I could feel it when they shared their venue with us. The gorgeous chandelier that sparkles above the dance floor came from a local bank, the conversations & laughs that surround the bar came from wood from a local church. Every piece in their barn is handpicked that adds character and sentimental values to their barn. The beautiful pergola and wood seating where we said “I do.” I could just dance my way around the barn staring at every piece and get lost in thoughts. The venue felt like it came out of a fairy tale book, written by a wedding fairy godmother I call Brittney. I nearly spit my drink out when asking for another refreshment when Brittney handed me a drink that was already prepared. She was always two steps ahead of me and that’s how she was throughout this whole process. I mean who sends you a picture of a piano in the middle of the night only to wake up after a bad week reading “I have a wedding gift for you.” She inspired me to keep working hard for my inspirations of playing the piano for my husband on our wedding day. She popped up out of nowhere when my dress ripped, and added details to every part of our wedding without me asking because she could read her bride. There’s no way I would of ever found a venue and coordinator like the White Barn & Brittney. Not once did I ever feel like I was renting a space or working w/ people. I felt like I was at a special place with very special hard working people that I hope to see again soon!

The venue is absolutely breath taking and can accommodate any style of wedding- intimate, large, classic, country chic- you name it! They have literally thought of everything. We got married at the White Barn in early October and we could not have imagined a more perfect day. From the first time we saw the venue two years ago, we immediately knew this was the place where we wanted to get married. Throughout the whole process, Brittney made everything so easy. She responded quickly with any questions we had - via email, text, phone calls, meetings. She was extremely organized and took so much of the stressful work off of our plates. We were able to attend a food tasting and were provided with many options to choose from. The food was standard wedding food - it was comparable to other weddings we’ve been to that serve their food buffet style with a large guest count. They were even willing to make some modifications to the dishes we chose to better fit our preferences. There are multiple on-site accommodations - including a beautiful farmhouse and a bridal suite, both of which we rented. It was super convenient being so close to the venue and having a space where the whole bridal party could stay. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready in the morning - both hair and makeup were so excited to use this space! When it came to the day of, she made our day completely stress-free and kept everything running smoothly. The venue is absolutely beautiful - everything is well maintained and every little detail is thoughtfully displayed. Our guests are still talking about how stunning everything was. If you are looking for a beautiful venue and a coordinator who will ensure your day is absolutely perfect, then we can’t recommend the White Barn enough. -

Our daughter had her wedding at The White Barn at Lucas Farm several weeks ago and the weather was perfect. The venue was beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. However, there were some disappointments. The cocktail hour was held behind the barn which was not well shaded and in direct sun. This was uncomfortable and raised food safety concerns. After the ceremony, the guests walked up the VERY steep steps to the barn which was dangerous and not appropriate for all guests - as there was no one to direct them any other way. The food was AWFUL and OVERPRICED. I don't believe it was prepared by a chef. The flank steak, stuffed chicken breast and vegetables were EXTREMELY overcooked, dry and under seasoned. This is UNACCEPTABLE and does not correlate with a 5 star venue. The venue recently changed its catering options and no longer offers a choice of caterers. I would recommend going to the tasting before you book this venue and decide for yourself. Overall, the venue is beautiful but we were EXTREMELY disappointed with the food and would not recommend this venue.THE WHITE BARN AT LUCAS FARM's reply:
Instead of starting this response with negativity and facts, I would like to start by saying how perfect the wedding went! As I recall, the weather was a perfect temp around 68 degrees, not too hot and not cold, the sun was shining, and it was a gorgeous day. The grounds were beautifully maintained because we are very meticulous and perfectionists if you will when it comes to our properties. The weekend was full of fun, laughs, storied and memories!
In March of 2023, you were invited to a tasting along with the bride and groom where you were given the option to try every food item on our menu. I stopped to talk to all of you at the table about selections, wedding details, any questions or concerns and NONE were brought to my attention. I remember meeting with the bride and groom at a later date, where you were not present but invited to attend. At this meeting we went over every single detail imaginable when it comes to planning a wedding. Items such as timelines, flow patterns, vendor management, theme, expectations, dreams/desires and menus! It was noted at the time that you did not approve of the selections and were not happy with the selections that the bride and groom chose for THEIR wedding and even noted that you had planned to leave a negative review. Imagine 7 months before your daughter’s dream wedding and you have already predetermined that you would leave a negative review regardless. There were a few other meetings and calls that you were also not present for during the duration of the planning process. The comments about food safety due to location is a falsified statement. The couple is given the option to host cocktail hour inside or outside and if they choose outside, umbrella coverings are above all the food as well as a covered roof. Nothing on the food selection menu needed to be iced or heated. These items were placed outside at the start of the ceremony which took place for approximately 15 minutes and then cocktail hour began. There was no sun shining directly on the food or any concerns to food safety. I also recall you were taking family photos for more than 50% of cocktail hour and not even present during the time the food selections were out for guests.
The night before the wedding, we had conducted a wedding rehearsal that you did not attend. You arrived 45 minutes late and missed the entire 2 run throughs we did for the wedding. During this time, we discussed all things wedding. Such as where to be at what times, what time you would walk in, where you would be seated, how guests would be seated and dismissed and then invited to cocktail hour. Once you arrived and rehearsal was over, I agreed to do another walk through (even though it was past the allotted time) just so you could be included and as parents of bride, know exactly what to expect on wedding day. So many key discussions happened at rehearsal and you were NOT present. On the actual wedding day when it was time to take the bride from the bridal suite to the venue, we were delayed over 30 minutes because you had complained about your hair and made the stylist redo it. Not a problem, I shifted the schedule to accommodate this and moved things around so we could still get everything done before the evening was finished, even if this meant moving more pictures until after the wedding, which meant you were not present at cocktail hour where you mention food safety concerns and lack of coordination for guests. This is what I call flexibility and we were flexible from the time you missed rehearsal and delayed the start of photos on the wedding day. After cocktail hour was over, the DJ announced that guests were invited inside the reception. They were told they could use the back stairs, the ground level front entrance or a golf cart shuttle to the front doors. The wedding party, which included parents was taken to the front of the barn so you were not present when guests were being escorted inside. No one has ever been forced to use the stairs. We have 3 entrances, all of which were fully open that day as well as the golf cart that shuttled several guests. You had mentioned lack of coordination, but we had coordinators onsite all day including myself. Guests were greeted when they arrived, offered shuttle services to the wedding site, coordinated from inside to outside and the DJ made announcements all night long for every single thing that was on the timeline. I personally coordinated every single vendor that day as well as tackled rearranging the schedule to accommodate tardiness, all while making sure everything was complete and running smoothly.
I cannot imagine speaking out so negatively about my child’s wedding simply because they chose to do things differently than what you wanted. Speaking to the bride and groom, it was the best day of their lives and there were so many magical moments that day, and its sad that the only thing you can seem to remember is the overpriced, bad food that you did not pay for or select. When the contract was signed by the bride and groom, they were aware that no outside caterers were permitted and this was a term they agreed to and had no problem with.
Every single guest we spoke to that day, had nothing but rave reviews and praises for the day. Not one single complaint until a month after the wedding. Why not reach out personally? Why not call or email your concerns before posting a review that is falsified, hurtful and demeaning to your own child and son in law? I will remember the day as a perfect day filled with love and laughter. A day that was surrounded with friends and family, an overall great experience. I am sorry you do not feel the same way, but in talking with the bride and groom, your review is not a reflection of their day and their feelings nor is it a reflection of the amazing wedding venue we have ran successfully for 8 seasons.
