We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for our wedding than The Whiskey Factory. From the moment we toured, we knew our search was over. The space itself created a unique backdrop that was both stylish and inviting and truly felt like us.
What really made the experience exceptional was the staff. Both Amelia and Abby were absolutely incredible. They were professional, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From helping with layout logistics to ensuring our signature cocktails (made with the distillery’s own spirits!) were a hit, they were an absolute dream to work with.
Our guests are still raving about how cool and memorable the venue was—and how amazing the drinks were! If you're looking for something different from the typical ballroom wedding, The Whiskey Factory is an absolute gem that will make your day truly special.
We’re so grateful for everything and would recommend this venue in a heartbeat! -

We had a wonderful experience having our wedding at Whiskey Factory!! Everything went smoothly; we feel we can put ourselves in the rare group of couples who didn't have a single thing go wrong on wedding day, and that is owed in large part to WF.
Simply put, the staff at the Whiskey Factory had us covered. Our experience was that every message, question, and email was addressed promptly (though they also appreciated us being on top of things!). They asked us about details we never would have thought of ourselves, and followed through on all of it. Also, our guests were thrilled with the Artisan Cocktail package of special drinks, along with the full bar of distillery spirits. Highly recommend, of course! -

Wedding Day
I can’t even begin to express how much we loved this wedding venue. We toured and booked before we were even engaged because of how perfect it was. After we left the tour, the first thing that my mom talked about was how well put together everything was. You could just immediately tell that they have an excellent system in place. We worked with Amelia, Abby, and Alyssa and they were all amazing. All of the communication and coordination was flawless. Wedding day was seamless. We have heard nothing but wonderful things from our guests on venue, food, and drinks. I know all of the reviews may make it seem too good to be true…but I promise it actually is this good. Book it!

We couldn't be happier with The Whiskey Factory! They went above and beyond. The team is incredibly responsive, professional, and personable. We had so much fun at our cocktail tasting. Their drinks are excellent. The day of our wedding it was so clear they had everything under control. We appreciated their hard to work to ensure everything ran smoothly. They know what they are doing for a wedding - helping us with timing and room layouts and all around making it stress free for the bride and groom. Our guests all raved about the space, drinks, and food. -

We had our wedding at The Whiskey Factory in August, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how everything turned out! From the start, Amelia was a huge help—she was always responsive, easy to work with, and made the entire planning process stress-free. On the day of the wedding, Alyssa went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She helped us with a few last-minute details and also made sure the ceremony flowed perfectly. The drinks were a big hit with our guests and they loved the cocktail hour in the production area. The food, provided by Two Unique, was awesome. Our guests kept complimenting the food all night. The venue’s ambiance was exactly what we envisioned—a cool, unique space with a great vibe. We wish we could relive the night over again! -

We are so happy that we chose the Whiskey Factory as our wedding venue! From the first time we toured The Whiskey Factory, we fell in love with the casual, comfortable vibe that the space gave, and we knew it fit our vision perfectly. The Whiskey Factory’s partnership with Two Unique makes catering and rentals so easy and not at all overwhelming. We worked extensively with Amelia throughout the planning process who was always so sweet, professional, and happy to answer my countless questions in the months leading up to our wedding day. Their checklists leading up to the wedding took off a lot of stress and put me at ease that I was not forgetting anything. The cocktail tasting was SO fun, and one of our favorite parts of the planning process!
Fast forward to wedding day–our wedding could not have gone more perfectly! We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue, and their room flip process was so seamless for our guests! The Whiskey Factory’s bar tenders are quick and personable, and our guests loved that they never had to wait for a drink. We also purchased an empty barrel for our guests to sign, which has become an awesome addition to our basement bar! Our guests raved about how good the specialty cocktails, beer, and other drinks were, and how cool and unique the venue was. We will forever relive our perfect day and cannot recommend the Whiskey Factory enough. Thank you Amelia, Alyssa, and The Whiskey Factory Team!

I'd like to start by saying that Amelia, one of the event coordinators at the Whiskey Factory is AMAZING. Seriously such a great person and so easy to work with. She hosted my husband and I with two friends for the cocktail tasting and we really felt comfortable with her. The entire process from start to finish with the Whiskey Factory was seamless and perfect. My mom had zero interaction with the team until our wedding day and did not stop complimenting them - Amelia especially. Once it was time for her to leave, she had another member of her team assisting us (I wish I remember her name but I don't- I'm sorry) and she was also so great. She made sure things were happening when they needed to throughout the reception. The venue itself is so cool. It's been a month since our wedding and our guests have not stopped mentioning how unique and awesome and yet still beautiful everything was. Our signature cocktails were an absolute hit - we had the cherry bomb, rye on fire, and Idol hands. Everything really was amazing and I'm so glad we chose this venue. Thank you to the Whiskey Factory team for all the time and effort. -

We got married at the Whiskey Factory in September of 2023 and I can't imagine us choosing any other venue. The industrial, moody vibe was just what we wanted. We were able to customize the space; picking the tables, chairs and linens we wanted and working with the WF team to create a floor plan. So many of our guests commented on the unique atmosphere. They also couldn't stop raving about the next level DCD cocktails and delicious food through Two Unique.
The whole WF team was so kind, patient and responsive throughout the planning process. Alyssa, Amelia and Bethany were absolute pros the day of, making sure everything was running smoothly, keeping us calm and ensuring that each moment was special. I wish we could go back and do it all over again! -

The best wedding venue in Detroit!
We are so grateful we were able to have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Whiskey Factory - Detroit City Distillery. From the moment we booked the venue to the time the last guest left, the team at The Whiskey Factory made us feel like we were the only two people on earth getting married that day. Bethany was a dream to work with for the planning, and her cohort Alyssa is also top notch. No call went unanswered, no email not promptly returned, and no detail was missed. The day of your wedding is always a little nerve wracking, and to see the entire team pull it off so seamlessly was beyond impressive. We talked to several other venues and none of them seemed as dialed in as the staff at The Whiskey Factory. For us not having an actual wedding planner and doing it all ourselves, Bethany and Alyssa made us feel comfortable and took so much of the extra work and stress off our plates. If you're getting married in Detroit, The Whiskey Factory - Detroit City Distillery should without a doubt be a venue to consider. -

Above and beyond our expectations
Words cannot describe how INCREDIBLE of a venue The Whiskey Factory is to host an event, especially a wedding. At first glance, yes the venue is a fully functioning distillery, however, it was transformed to our dream wedding. We were truly hoping for a vintage Detroit "themed" wedding and they were the perfect place to pull it off. Not to mention, the staff is so amazing to work with. we personally worked with Amelia for our wedding and she was so kind, patient, and knew her s**t. And, of course, the drinks were TOP NOTCH!!! We've received soooo many compliments on the beverages served at our wedding! Choosing The Whiskey Factory for your wedding will not disappoint you! -

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at the Whiskey Factory. We worked with both Alyssa and Caitlyn during the process, and both were so wonderful. The planning process was extremely smooth with Caitlyn being very quick to respond and clearly the expert on what works well in the space.
Before the wedding, we got to do a cocktail tasting with Caitlyn (+ my parents and sister), which was SO fun. The cocktails were delicious and it was a wonderful way to get excited for the wedding in the month leading up to our big day.
On the day of the wedding, I felt so taken care of by the WF staff. They mostly worked with our day-of-coordinator, but were really amazing in ensuring that the day flowed smoothly. The cocktails were delicious (even our non-cocktail-loving guests opted for the specialty cocktails instead of beer or wine) and the ambiance was wonderful. What I love most about the space is that you don't need to bring in much decor to make the venue feel warm and inviting - the beautiful hanging lights and rustic space do the work themselves!
The Whiskey Factory was wonderful from start to finish (even giving us a wedding present to help us celebrate) and I highly recommend hosting your wedding here. -

First off, the whole experience with this venue and their workers has been absolutely extraordinary! Alyssa the sales manager there was one of the most kind hearted, helpful people we could have ever asked for to work with. She answered all of our questions and helped tremendously along the way in the wedding process. She actually officiated our wedding as well! (We LOVE her!!) The other staff were so helpful and wonderful as well. They went above and beyond to help set up, light candles, hang things up, ect and just made us feel so comfortable and stress free.
Great food by Two Unique, great atmosphere, cool guest book ideas (signing an empty barrel) AMAZING photo opportunities (shoutout to our photographer Brettina Mae), great signature cocktails, and just a beautiful day in general.
The Whiskey Factory seriously could not be more perfect. If you're looking for a unique venue with great service, look no further!! -

I don't even know where to begin. From the moment we went on our venue tour, my husband and I knew this was the perfect venue for us. The event team made the planning process and the day of even better. Caitlyn was our main point of contact, and from the 6 month checklist on, she was always responsive and helpful, answering questions and making our requests happen. One of our favorite parts of the planning process was our drink tasting with Caitlyn. She sent over lists and information so that we could make all of the smallest DIY details we wanted happen, like a list of all of the tasting notes for every spirit to create a menu, down to which signature drink we wanted waiting for us in our DCD rocks glasses at the head table. Lizzy helped the wedding party get to where we needed to be before the ceremony, and Caitlyn helped me by literally carrying my veil up the stairs. I almost cried when I saw the venue set up because it was done exactly how I had envisioned. Our guests absolutely loved the drinks and we received so many compliments saying this was the coolest and most unique venue they had ever been to. We could not have asked for a better place to have our dream wedding, and we will miss working with working with this team! -

Yes, the drinks are as amazing as they sound. Yes, the venue is stunning. Yes, you and your guests will love the unique wedding experience TWF offers. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our experience with TWF and their team was incredible from start to finish. After almost 2 years of planning, and helping us with everything from custom bridal party proposal gifts to setting up the small details we brought with us the day of, TWF team really brought our dream day to life. During the planning process, Alyssa and Caitlyn were always quick to respond to our emails and were happy to answer all of our questions. They sent helpful checklists as the day grew nearer to keep us on track, and Caitlyn walked us and our bridal party through the rehearsal to make sure everything was perfect for the big day. On our wedding day, Caitlyn and Madison truly exceeded our expectations in every way. They helped us set up our entryway table, seating chart, place cards, paced us down the aisle, literally carried my dress and veil as I walked up the stairs, and always kept our glasses full. They made our day effortless and memorable. Because of them, our wedding at The Whiskey Factory was a day we will never forget. -

WOW--what a spectacular venue run by a spectacular team. We were nothing but impressed during our entire experience booking, planning, and finally celebrating with the Whiskey Factory. Compliments are not just from the bride and groom either---we continue to receive daily texts and calls about how "cool" and "organized" our venue was. Alyssa, Caitlyn, Brynn, Madison, Lizzy---everyone helped make our day PERFECT! This team of girls has got it together! So friendly and welcoming---no question was ever "silly". They embody the idea that us brides have been dreaming of this day our whole lives but when it comes down to it, we don't know what we're doing, ha! The team made small adjustments and accommodations to make our dream day happen. When we left behind a few framed photos, they shipped them right to us. I am already trying to figure out what event I can host with them next. A+ everything! -

My husband and I got married at The Whiskey Factory on 6/24/22 and it was a truly magical day thanks to TWF’s team of professionals. From the moment we stepped foot in TWF over a year ago for our tour with Alyssa, we knew it was our wedding venue. Alyssa was so knowledgeable and made us feel at ease with the process from day one.
Since then, we have worked closely with Caitlyn and Madison. Both were phenomenal with great and prompt communication, answers to all of my questions, and a TON of help on site the day of our wedding. We absolutely loved working with them.
The craft cocktails were a big hit on our wedding day and the venue is truly one of a kind and absolutely stunning.
This is a team of reliable and trustworthy people and you will be in the very best hands from start to finish with The Whiskey Factory – we cannot recommend it enough!! -

We can’t say enough great things about our experience at the Whiskey Factory! From the uniqueness of the space, to the yummy drinks, to the incredible staff we can’t recommend The Whiskey Factory enough.
We were sold on it being our venue in January of 2020 for a May 2021 event…of course, the pandemic had other plans for us and we chose to reschedule to April 30, 2022. Throughout all of the uncertainty, Alyssa, Caitlyn and the rest of the staff were incredible. They were very responsive to our questions, and very flexible with us over the 2+ years we worked together.
Our guests all raves about the venue, the cocktails, and the staff, too. The space is truly unique and beautiful, we saw a handful of other venues but they did not feel like “us.”
Brynn and Caitlyn were with us the day of and they made sure everything was flawless for us.
If you’re considering The Whiskey Factory for your special day, do it. You will have the day of your dreams, just like we did!

Incredible venue with exceptional staff
It was an absolute dream working with this venue and their staff. Caitlyn and Alyssa were incredible from start to finish! From the moment we stepped into the venue for our tour they were thorough, enthusiastic and passionate about providing an amazing event space. The aesthetic and vibe of the venue are incredible and having amazing staff to help coordinate our dream wedding was absolute perfection. They were knowledgeable, prompt with communication and checked in with us frequently to provide us recs and see if we needed anything. They have an incredible vendor rec list they provide as well! And bonus, they are now aligned with 2 Unique for catering (seriously amazing food and service). They also provided us checklists along the way so we knew throughout the whole wedding planning process where we should be at in terms of decisions and coordination. I can’t speak enough to how wonderful it was to work with them and this venue. They exceeded our expectations and we had so many compliments for many guests in regards to the venue and supporting staff. Would highly recommend this venue for any event, it truly is a great space with even better staff. -

From start to finish working with Alyssa, Caitlyn and the rest of the Whiskey Factory was the most amazing experience for us. There is so much to rant and rave about them. The venue space is absolutely stunning and everything I wanted. And the guest could not stop taking about how spectacular it was. I was a bit nervous having the cocktail hour downstairs as this was a working space but the team completely transformed it and I was blown away with just how perfect it was. Even the third floor lounge that we got to hide in while the guest started to arrive was so perfect and intimate. And the drinks…ahh the DRINKS! So good!!! We got so many compliments about just how good they were!! They literally went above and beyond with EVERYTHING! Months before our original date was suppose to start, we lost our ceremony location and the Whiskey Factory stepped in, calmed me down, and explained exactly how we could reset the upstairs venue from ceremony to reception. Then covid happened and the Whiskey Factory was so understanding and easy to work with to change our dates. And then covid kept happening and the team didn’t bat an eye when I asked to reschedule a second time. They were so so so easy to work with. So helpful with planning and execution. Would absolutely recommend them over and over again. -

Wow where to even start with this venue!? The event team is absolutely incredible (I mainly worked with AJ who is a total rockstar!), the venue is STUNNING, and the drinks are to die for. My experience was flawless from start to finish and worth every single penny spent. Everyone went above and beyond and AJ worked her butt off to get my timeline together, speak to vendors, and be there with me all day and night. I do not have a single complaint. If you want a true Detroit experience, have your wedding here! You won’t regret it🥰 -

Industrial Loveliness with Fabulous Drinks
The venue is absolutely gorgeous - we were in search of a moody, industrial spot and The Whiskey Factory nailed it. The staff was incredibly attentive and fulfilled our every wish for our big day. Having our wedding here was the best decision we could have made. Because of COVID, there were so many times we had to pivot from the original plan. But Alyssa helped us through it (over the course of 2 years) and worked with us/our wedding planner to solidify our wedding. And it was PERFECT. Everything ran smoothly on wedding day and our guests were raving about how unique and beautiful the venue was, as well as the delicious cocktails. When COVID forced us to replan with a minimony... the Whiskey Factory came to the rescue.
Alyssa (Event Sales Manager) was prompt when answering emails (of which there were many!) and was gracious enough to work with both myself (planning from the East Coast) and my parents to get everything set up.
Caitlyn (Event Coordinator) was wonderful to have (on top of our own day of coordinator). She reached out to ensure that drinks were set up correctly, the day of... she helped with staging for photos, including making sure we got some shots on the rooftop. They made the day easy - with florals, a beautiful head table, blue tooth speaker.
The venue itself is just cool - the bar is beautiful, the aesthetic of the whiskey barrels and industrial feel is unique. The premade cocktails were beyond delectable. Shout out to TwoUnique Catering for the amazing charcuterie boxes. (We took extras of both with us on our honeymoon!)
This was not the wedding as we originally planned and it was perfect and we are so glad the Whiskey Factory was available on short notice. -

The space at the Whiskey Factory is beautiful. It is beaming with character and very little is needed to spruce it up and make it special. The cocktails are fantastic and are sure to be a standout feature of your event. Most importantly, the staff is warm and kind, willing to jump in and help at a moment’s notice. My wedding was originally scheduled for Spring of 2020 and had to be rescheduled because of pandemic restrictions. Alyssa and her team were incredibly patient and understanding. By the time we finally got married almost a year later, I felt like they were family. They did everything possible to ensure our day was perfect, going above and beyond to help us cross the finish line (finally). I am eternally grateful I chose the Whiskey Factory for my venue, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Beautiful Evening!

Covid almost made us have to cancel our event at this indoor venue but Alyssa and her amazing team helped transform the outdoor parking lot space into a outdoor dreamy wedding that was perfect. We even got to,use tbe indoor space for our minimony with ten people that was awesome, Alyssa was always there for me and everyone loved the bartending staff, they made the night so much fun that people will be talking about for many years to come! The drinks were also so unique and great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great space in Detroit where the staff really goes out of their way for you, I wont forget it! -

Wow the whiskey favorite has blown away my expectations! I always dreamed of my wedding at the WF since they opened and it was perfect.
They have been great with the ups and downs of COVID. They have been amazing with setting up a drink tasting, decorating/flipping the room between the ceremony and reception, and they are were there to help make our wedding show our story through it all. -
