I I00% recommend the Westin for your wedding venue. The Westin is stunning, and Sarah Baker and her team are rock stars. Planning, in general, is not “my thing,” but Sarah made the process so easy. Her customer service was amazing. She answered my 2000 questions quickly and eased my many anxieties. The packages the Westin offers allow you to create the wedding of your dreams. I loved not having to worry about rentals, caterers, bar staff, hotel rooms, getting-ready areas, and even pre-wedding snacks. The Westin did it all. We managed to stay within budget and still have an amazing wedding.

Everything was perfect. The staff, the food, the venue all made our day special and we are so thankful that we found a venue that catered to us and our guests the entire weekend.

Five star service and venue. First class. Our guests loved it and we were treated like royalty. Beautiful hotel and ballrooms.

The beautiful interior of the building itself & the ballroom where the reception is held is a selling point in and of itself. But what really makes the Westin such a wonderful venue is the SERVICE! Sarah was always on top of things & happy to answer any questions. The Westin is such a well-oiled machine in that they know what they're doing and are doing it effortlessly where the bride doesn't have to worry about even the slightest detail! They've got it covered! Seriously could NOT have found a better venue/service.

The Westin Poinsett staff was very friendly and accommodating. We originally booked this Venue as our host hotel for our wedding celebration back in 2020, but like many other brides/grooms we had to cancel our entire wedding plans due to Covid-19. However, the Westin Poinsett opened their doors to us for our wedding party photo shoot; this was truly remarkable. In 2021 we returned back to the Westin Poinsett and worked with Sarah Baker and team who was phenomenal with helping us plan our 1 year anniversary party. Sarah did not miss a beat as she knew and had all the answers to many of our questions we had. Sarah was also extremely helpful to our vendors that included our band, DJ and our planning team. We will highly recommend you all to work with the Westin Poinsett team as they were a joy to work with☺️☺️

I'm going to be honest and say The Westin Poinsett was not our 1st option. But i'm a truly believer in everything happens for a reason. I'm a bride of Cov-19 2020 wedding year but that's not the 1st thing that tried to rip our wedding to pieces and definitely was not the last thing. I was reached out to by several vendors after the 1st horrendous event but 1 stood out to me the most and that was a young lady named Sarah with The Westin Poinsett, DownTown Greenville. She asked me to meet her and it turned into 1 of the best decisions I ever made. Sarah was phenomenal to work with. She is easy to talk to, understandable, informative, supportive. I mean from the day I accepted the Westin Poinsett to the day my husband and I were married, she was there. The place itself is so breathtaking. Any scheduling problems I had she worked around, everytime a problem came up she was there not only to work with me about it but the support and comfort she left you with made it so easy to get through. She was so active in making sure everything you asked for happened and if it didn't, she was telling you why, when, where, and how plans B or C needed to go into place. Before Cov-19 I had a whole team there but because of Cov, I needed up with just Sarah and I was perfectly okay with that. The Roof view was unbelievably gorgeous and our room that night was amazing as well. Comfortable bed, walk-in shower, a woman's dream of a mirror and a beautiful view from the window of Greenville. Through every obstacle 2020 through at us with our wedding (and I mean there was a lot) The Westin Poinsett made it all worth it. Sarah pulled it off and this bride got to walk away that night with her new husband and the happiest smile of success of her dream wedding. I would definitely recommend them. We can't thank the Westin enough for everything they did for us. We had to reschedule our wedding mere weeks ahead due to Covid-19. Our wedding planner (not from the Westin) contacted all of our vendors and had the entire thing rescheduled in mere hours. The Westin was so great to work with and booked our day for us no problem. We had to make a few last minute changes due to Covid-19 restrictions but the Westin still did a great job pulling everything together. It was always a dream to be married in one of our favorite spots in town, and it was well worth the wait. We can't wait to return for our anniversary.

We had our dream wedding at The Westin Poinsett Hotel. The experience was phenomenal! Sarah was a delight to work with, always very attentive and responsive. The day of our wedding Sarah was unable to be present, but Yveline the event captain did an amazing job making sure that everything went as planned. The entire staff was friendly, professional and extremely attentive. If you are looking to have a worry free wedding done by professionals and are looking for exceptional world class experience we recommend The Westin Poinsett Hotel. The elegance and beauty of the hotel is magnificent, our photographer was able to capture some spectacular pictures.

The entire team at the Weston was superb. The quality of food and service was outstanding!

Getting married during the pandemic was not easy but everyone at the Westin made sure that we felt comfortable and safe. We had our dream wedding at the Westin - not to mention we got the most incredible photos taken on the rooftop at sunset! The food was amazing, the service was amazing - I would not have changed a thing.

The Westin was a magical and elegant setting for our reception. The hotel staff was very professional and accommodating to all of our out of town guests. Sarah, our Westin appointed coordinator, was superb. She went above and beyond and was always a pleasure to work with.
The only hiccup was with guest bags that were to be given to people as they checked in. There were a total of 20 bags that had to be given. Some rooms did not get one, some got double, and some I had to personally call for them to receive it. This was the only stressful part since I was calling all the guests as they checked in to make sure they received a bag and then calling the hotel for them to run one up to them. All of this after Sarah and I spent significant time putting in the information to the system so the front desk staff would know exactly what to do as each room checked in. I was even charged for this service :(.
All in all it was amazing despite that small inconvenience.

There are so many wonderful things about the Westin Poinsett! For one, if you are like me, and want someone else to handle your day for you, then Sarah is your girl. She was absolutely amazing to work with! Our day went off completely smooth, and when the occasional minor issue did arise, she made sure it was handled immediately. She made the day so easy for me, leaving me with almost no stress on my big day. The hotel staff in general were amazing. I know it takes a great team to accomplish what they did for us. We chose to have both our ceremony and reception here, and they had the room changed over from ceremony space to reception space in less than an hour, plus setting up food and hosting the cocktail hour. The food was delicious, and everyone at the wedding agreed. This team is a well oiled machine! And the little details were also beautiful and wonderful. There was a free standing dress hanger in my hotel room, specifically for my dress. At the end of the night, when we made it back to our room, there was a plate with a slice of each flavor cake from our wedding cake, as well as chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne on ice. It is the little details like these that truly make a place special. I recommend to anyone looking for the classy feel of the Poinsett.

Whether you're the bride or her support staff (mom!), you've probably figured out that planning a wedding is a happy, grueling, detail-heavy business with lots of moving parts. Ours was a large wedding, planned from afar, and my goal was to still be friends with my daughter when it was over. (We also preferred not to have to sell our firstborn to pay for it all!)

If you want success, start by finding the best support people you can find. Greenville's Westin Poinsett was exactly that for us. When their event supervisor left for a new job six months into our process, I panicked. Then Sarah Blasingame (their sales pro) stepped to the plate for us. She listened to what we were trying to achieve, offered suggestions, changed directions on a dime when we did (which was a lot!) and never made us feel like we were a burden or even a pain in the foot. She was a monumental help throughout the remaining 6 months of our planning process; she knew Greenville vendors thoroughly so no matter what I needed, transportation buses, picnic baskets, etc., she had options. I loved that she answered the phone every time I called or called me back quickly. Most of all, she had or quickly found answers for my every question and when the big day(s) came, she made every function happen on time, every time, with seemingly effortless ease.

Since none of us currently live in Greenville, our daughter's wedding actually became a destination wedding with friends and family traveling across multiple states to celebrate. The Greenville Westin Poinsett was perfect, with beautifully appointed, different size ballrooms for events together, an elegant, comfortable lobby bar and the greatest staff around.

1. In today's wedding world you pay for reserved room blocks that go unbooked. The Westin let me add rooms 10 at a time as RSVPs came in instead of making a wild guess about how many people would be able to attend. When we needed one last room, Sarah found it.

2. Their breakfast restaurant provides a great meeting place each morning, as does the comfortable lobby and downstairs bar area. (Best ever coffee!) The staff at both were just extraordinary and there is no way to explain the consistently high level of service each person offered, always with a smile. The rooftop bar was also a big draw, and a great venue itself.

3. Stuff happens. For us, last-minute RSVPs and cancellations made planning tough. When we got 42 reservations for a welcome event, after the call-by date, Sarah only said, "No problem." She and her crew quietly set up a larger room for our pre-wedding coffee gathering while we were off to a rehearsal dinner!

4. The Poinsett was able to provide our floral designer with a convenient space to create, sort and package florals for the entire weekend.

5. My daughter and I went to Greenville for 5 or 6 pre-planning meetings and tested a different hotel each time. The Poinsett was our unanimous choice, hands down because along with a fabulous, historic facility, great food and an uber-convenient location, their entire staff is 110% friendly, helpful, accommodating and efficient. (We're pretty sure they don't sleep!) A fun example was their valet service, all of whom repeatedly went over and above with umbrellas, directions, extra parking options and anything else that was needed.

Sarah and the team at the Westin Poinsett made our experience absolutely perfect! The venue is truly all inclusive- tables, chairs, linens, service, food and beverage, which made the event seamless. The team let us be flexible with some of their package options to truly create the best day for us, and let us express our tastes. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best experience, and we can't thank her enough!

From the front desk staff to the serving team, the entire hotel service was impeccable, hospitable and truly top notch. Our guests and family raved about the team. Our wedding was the most romantic, perfect celebration thanks to the Westin staff! The wedding coordinator, Sarah, is a delight to work with. From our initial conversation, tasting visit and planning calls, she has always been so positive, reassuring and attentive. I am also so impressed at how well she ensured every detail was perfect. My wedding was in the Poinsett Room and everything was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. The night flowed beautifully and the room looked absolutely incredible. It was helpful to see all the ways the floor plan could be adjusted as we had a sit down dinner and a band. The tables were spaced perfectly so there was enough room to fit the band and all those who were dancing! We were happy with the convenience as we had a lot of out of town guests, who could go straight up to their room after the reception. The Westin was very accomodating and made sure our night was everything we dreamed of. The rooftop photos were icing on the cake and one of our favorite memories right after we said "I do"! We had so many compliments about the event space and are very happy with our decision to use the Westin for everything, including our farewell breakfast the next morning which was delicious as well! All around an amazing night!

Our daughter's wedding reception was at The Westin. We considered a number of other venues but hands down, the best value was here. Out of town friends complimented the service, never having to wait in line at the bar or for food, how delicious the food was and how beautiful the ballroom looked. Our Saturday night reception was beautiful and the convenience of having guests stay at The Westin added to everyone's enjoyment of the weekend. And in September, the Saturday Farmers Market is just steps out the front door. We couldn't have been more pleased!

I’m not even sure where to begin! Our wedding at the Westin was absolutely perfect. It was perfect because of Chelsea McCray. She is amazing at her job and made our day flawless. She helped with every detail and listened to our requests. Every minute was special. We had a ton of out of town guests. The Westin was perfect. We had our ceremony in the Poinsett Ballroom and our reception in the Gold Ballroom. It was beautiful! The food was terrific! The Westin listened to all of our requests and made anything happen. My wife and I looked at multiple venues here in Greenville but after seeing the Gold Ballroom at the Westin, we knew we had found our place. The Westin provides the timeless elegance that you look for in a wedding venue, while at the same time being right in the middle of all the excitement that downtown Greenville has to offer.

Somers, Chelsea, Mike and the rest of the Westin team were an absolute pleasure to work with and were there to answer any and all questions we had along the way. My wife and I had minimal wedding day jitters because we knew that the Westin staff, along with our other vendors (Sposa Bella photography, Kathy & Company bakery, and Uptown Entertainment) who work the Westin all the time, had everything taken care of.

We recently had both our ceremony and reception at the Westin Poinsett Hotel and it was the most beautiful experience. Chelsea and Rita were in constant contact from the moment we signed our contracts to make sure our day was perfect. The ballrooms and mezzanine areas made for an exquisite space for the ceremony and reception, and everything from the food to facilitating with external vendors was handled with ease. We had a high number of out-of-town guests, and everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure they all had whatever they needed for their stay in Greenville. Having our reception at the Westin Poinsett this September was easily one of the best decisions I made for our big day. We had our reception in the Poinsett Ballroom, and had a cocktail hour on the mezzanine. My husband and I were blown away by how beautiful the space was, and and the guests were just as wowed. Chelsea is so easy to work with, and did such an amazing job of ensuring that everything went without a hitch. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive to all our guests’ needs. From the hotel’s historic charm to the peace of mind in knowing that our wishes would be fulfilled, the Westin Poinsett was the perfect venue for our reception.

We are so incredibly lucky and happy that we chose to have our wedding reception at the Westin Poinsett. I honestly cannot believe how much value we got and overall came in under budget - this is hands down the best deal in Greenville. The beautiful space is also in a great location in downtown Greenville especially for our mostly out-of-town guests to explore. Chelsea, who was incredibly responsive and professional, was absolutely amazing in helping us with every single detail. She definitely went beyond any expectations in coordinating the space as well as helping coordinate with all of our vendors. The Westin Poinsett was a lovely venue for my daughter's wedding. Chelsea McCray was a joy to work with and a true professional. She has great advice, and gave on point recommendations during the year long planning. She works tirelessly to make sure that your wedding is the perfect day. She is quick to help remedy any issues that come up. The service, the food, and the staff were all GREAT for the entire wedding weekend! We used the Poinsett Ballroom, Veranda, and Mezzanine and it made for a perfect flow for the cocktail hour and reception. The Westin is in a perfect location downtown. The guests enjoyed walking out the front door of the Westin and being so close to all the action of downtown Greenville. Highly recommend the Westin Poinsett for your wedding reception and hotel rooms.

The Westin Poinsett is an incredible venue. During the planning process we worked closely with Chelsea McCray, who is fantastic!! Chelsea is professional, friendly, and helped every step of the way. Both our ceremony and reception was in the Gold Ballroom. The room flip was quick and done while all our guests were enjoying cocktail hour on the Mezzanine. It was perfect! All of our guests raved about the hotel accommodations (ballroom and guest rooms), staff, and food. Our day ran smoothly from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for more!

I got married at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in June 2017. We had our reception and ceremony in the Poinsett Ballroom. The food was incredible and the service was even better! Chelsea, the wedding coordinate onsite, was absolutely amazing. She was so accommodating and so helpful. She really took so much stress off my plate and handled ALL of the day of coordination, among countless other things leading up to the wedding day. So many options and so much flexibility with everything from decor, to food, to seating arrangements. While it initially seemed like a pricey option, when you look at all that is included in that price, you are definitely receiving a great value. I would 1000% recommend this as a wedding venue to everyone.

The Westin was an incredible place to have our reception. I didn't want to be overwhelmed with any details and Chelsea and everyone else at the Westin did a great job of making things easier for us. The food was amazing and the chef was very helpful in accommodating some of the diet restrictions we had. There was an opportunity for us to take photos on the roof and they are by far some of the best photos I have ever seen at a wedding reception - we are so pleased! The Westin was attentive to all of our guests and went above and beyond to make our day special. We are so thankful. They come HIGHLY recommended.

I had a GREAT experience with the Westin Poinsett for my wedding! I worked closely with Chelsea McCray, and she was very professional, responsive, helpful, and patient with both me and my mom and our millions of questions! The Westin was perfect for my wedding also because they offer tables, linens, flatware, catering, and of course hotel room blocks for guests! This was the main reason I chose the Westin was because I was able to hit so many of the items needed for planning a wedding in one place. Chelsea helped coordinate the set up and take down for my wedding, and also outside vendors we brought in (DJ, gelato, etc.).

We had our reception in the Poinsett Ballroom, which is shown in the pictures above and just as beautiful in person! You really do not have to add much decor because the ballroom is gorgeous on its own! We added white flowers and centerpieces and gold accents for the tables and it looked amazing. Again, I wanted simple for my wedding from a planning perspective and choosing the Westin made it so easy. You are centrally located in the middle of downtown Greenville so there is plenty for your guests to explore on their own too. And the Westin staff are so thoughtful and willing to answer any questions you may have.

I highly recommend the Westin for any corporate or ESPECIALLY wedding events!

It is hard to even find the right words to describe how incredible Chelsea and the Westin made our wedding day to be. I planned the wedding from Texas so obviously it added more complications, but Chelsea was extremely supportive, direct, kind, and over the top & on the ball with everything. She made us feel very secure and I felt like I could trust her to handle everything even so many miles away. We were blown away with the coordination and professionalism. The Westin treated us so well, accommodated ALL of our guests and allowed us to have the wedding night of a lifetime. Choosing to do our wedding at the Westin made everything easy since they took care of the tables, linens, butler passing of food, picking people up from the airport, and the day of coordination (and so many other things). It was the easiest day trusting them to make all the things happen and allowing just the time when most brides would be freaking out-- I could spend it with my family, friends and mentality preparing to get married to an amazing man! Chase and I got married on New Years Eve at 8pm. The Westin was the ONLY place to let us stay until the ball dropped and allowed our guests to not only experience our union as one and a BEAUTIFUL ceremony, but also to celebrate with not having to worry about drinking and driving or traffic. Once the wedding was over, everyone could go up to their rooms. People are still talking about how amazing the Westin was and I will forever be filled with gratitude for their excellent service, hospitality and help to make this day so special.

I cannot say enough about how fantastic Chelsea McCray and the staff of the Westin Poinsett were in helping us plan and execute the most beautiful wedding day. Despite planning the wedding from France and then Australia and then having to change our ceremony venue to the hotel at the last minute because of a snow storm, Chelsea and the Westin were nothing but accommodating and flexible. Everything was taken care of (absolutely everything) and they made it so easy (and pricing was very reasonable!). They asked helpful questions that I would never have even thought of asking and were more than willing to answer anything else we thought of either straight away or shortly after our conversations in an email. The chef wonderfully accommodated our gluten-free needs (to the point that nothing served at the wedding had gluten in it! And it was such an easy thing to do!). The food was fabulous. Chelsea and the Westin went out of their way to make us feel at ease and excited about the last minute change in venue and Chelsea made it absolutely beautiful. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel a few days before the wedding, our every need or question was met with nothing short of a genuine smile and helpful face. Customer service is too weak of a term; this is hospitality and class at its absolute finest.

I seriously could not say enough about Chelsea McCray and the staff at the Westin Poinsett. From the very beginning, planning our wedding was like a dream. Chelsea was flexible, responsive, and catered to all of our questions, even those we had not thought of! From our first tour of the venue to the tasting and finally to the special day, the Westin was accommodating. They changed a couple of beer selections from the bar package we chose, as well as late additions to the menu. Additionally, Chelsea personally made sure we ate at our reception and the food was delicious! When you book your wedding at the Westin, they include your wedding night stay, and we were surprised to find chocolate covered strawberries, slices of our cake (we had forgotten to eat a sample at the reception), and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. It was the BEST day and it was so because we had our wedding at the Westin Poinsett. Trust me, you can't go wrong having your wedding here.

The Westin Poinsett is by far my favorite home away from home. So when I decided to get married I immediately thought of them as both my wedding and reception venue. From the moment we called to get information, we were guided with ease through the entire process by Chelsea Mccray, she was very professional and stayed in contact with us often. The food was exceptional, and the staff were very pleasant and involved with our guest wishes. I am still getting emails from my guest raving about their experience at our wedding and the Westin. We had several guest from out of town and the Westin was very helpful in accommodating their lodging needs . I highly recommend The Westin Poinsett to any bride that loves beautiful old south décor and a welcoming staff that will tend to your every need, even before you know that you have them. They really do think of everything! And be sure to get your rooftop photo, it makes for a very special picture of you and your groom.

The Westin Poinsett Hotel is truly THE BEST when it comes to hospitality, service, atmosphere, and execution. The Chef is so talented in creating menus and ensuring that his clients are blown away with an amazing selection at the tasting and night of your big day. The Food and Beverage Manager and his team provide top notch, 4-Diamond service, leaving you with nothing to worry about the entire night. The Wedding Coordinator invests her time and makes a personal effort to ensure each individual client's dreams are fulfilled. She works diligently with you from the site tour and booking, to the tasting, to the drop-off appointment. The entire hotel staff keeps you at ease months, weeks, and days leading up to your wedding day.

The WESTIN is where you want to be for your special day! Whether you have your whole event there or just the reception; you will be more than satisfied with the excellent customer service from their team. We had the pleasure of working with KELLEY MOORE from start to finish and it was a pleasure! We knew from the beginning we wanted an all inclusive venue where we wouldn't have to do any transitioning form location to location. The WESTIN offered us everything we needed and more. From the décor, to the staff, to the food; everything was 5 diamond!! I highly recommend a visit to the WESTIN to see if its right for you. The Westin Poinsett hotel was absolutely everything we dreamed of and more! Kelley Moore went over and beyond to make sure our day was special. We used the Gold Ballroom (which is gorgeous) and we had about 145 guests. There was plenty of space for everyone. The food was amazing and everyone there made sure everything was just right for us and stress free. Every couple and especially the bride wants a stress free wedding day and someone to take care of everything for you and that's what the Westin hotel did for us!!! We can not thank Kelley enough for everything she did for us to make our dream wedding come true!

We used the Poinsett Room and it was a perfect size for our reception consisting of about 125 guests. Kelley was attentive, calm and had everything under control. She and the entire Westin team were a class act and extremely professional. The icing on the cake was when we returned to our room at the end of the night (2 am!) there were plates of food from our reception, champagne and slices of our wedding cake waiting for us! It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Almost two months after my wedding, I finally have a few minutes to sit back and reflect on how truly amazing the day was. From start to finish, it was everything that my husband and I had dreamed it would be. Surrounded by our closest friends and family, we celebrated the start of a life together.

Everything about the Westin Pointsett Hotel was perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful but more importantly the entire staff truly goes out of their way to make you and your guests feel at home. Majority of our wedding guests stayed at the Westin Pointsett for the weekend and everyone continues to comment about the service and professionalism they received throughout our wedding weekend.

From a Bride and Groom perspective, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. All of the little details are carefully executed, the food is amazing and the party was one to remember for a lifetime.

We loved the Westin Poinsett! Kelley, the wedding coordinator is calm and responsive and just made everything go off without a problem. We had a large group of at least 200 and she made great suggestions on how to handle the crowd and made sure that there was plenty of seating and that the reception was organized so that there were no long lines at any food station! All of our guests were so impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff and enjoyed their weekend in Greenville. Having a wedding at the Westin Poinsett is truly every girls dream come true. We had a wedding with 95% of the guests being from out of town and this was the perfect venue. It was conveniently located downtown and no one had to worry about driving back and forth between the ceremony and reception. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the service is impeccable. Everyone from the front desk to the valet is there to help you. I had the luxury of working with Kelley Moore there, and I cannot give enough praise for how wonderful she made my wedding. She attended to all needs and made sure everything flowed smoothly. I literally had to do hair and makeup and just arrive for my big day. There are lots of choices in Greenville, SC when it comes to picking a wedding venue but none of them can compare to the Westin. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

We hosted our daughter's wedding reception at The Westin Poinsett. It was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were wonderful to work with. The food was excellent. Our compliments to the chef, as the food was hot and tasty and beautifully plated, which was such a pleasant surprise for a hotel. Our daughter wanted a "vintage" wedding and The Westin provided the PERFECT dream come true for her. The hotel provides a wedding coordinator who was professional, helpful and excellent in her role. We didn't have to worry about a thing and the pricing was clear, easy to understand and allowed us to budget in advance without surprises at the end. The Westin makes it a joyful experience and easy. Highly recommend.

My husband used to work at the Westin, so even before we got engaged I knew that this would be our reception location. The beautiful architecture and design provide a venue unlike any others in the downtown Greenville area!

We used the Poinsett Ballroom, Mezzanine and Veranda for our cocktail hour and reception, along with several of the conference rooms off the mezzanine for the band and overflow seating. The space worked perfectly for our 220ish guests, plenty of seating for everyone, and room to maneuver through the room with ease. Linda, the banquet captain was amazing. She had plates made for us and set them down at a table, so we were actually able to sit down and and eat a little!! The entire staff went above and beyond to make our night magical for not only us, but for our guests as well.

We did have a few issues with the event planner, Kelley, that I feel could have been solved easily with better/more consistent communication on her end, but overall it was such a great experience that I don't want to leave any sort of negative comment/feedback for the hotel! My husband's knowledge of the hotel and events (he used to be a banquet captain) came in very handy and made planning the layout and picking the food and other details a breeze. We did the "action stations" on the mezzanine, and had everything from reverse shrimp and grits (my husband's favorite), to a variety of mac and cheese, crab cakes and quesadillas. We brought our own wine, and did the bar by consumption rather than a package.

We also used the Francis Marion room for our Bridal Brunch that morning, and the wedding party stayed in the Presidential Suite the entire weekend. Before making our entrance to the reception, we used the Coffee Shop downstairs where they had a sample of all of our cocktail hour food, and gave us enough time to bustle my dress and relax before starting the party!

Overall, such a perfect event and we had so much fun!

Our wedding at the Westin Poinsett was one to remember! In the months leading up to the event, Kelley was responsive to all of our requests, responding within 24 hours to phone calls and emails. In addition to responsiveness, the team was able to work with our budget for 130+ people, making menu suggestions that were more budget-friendly. Kelley also worked with our wedding coordinator to confirm the details/timeline of the day. Upon our guests' arrival to the venue the night before, the staff at the Westin provided wonderful service. At the end of the wedding night, the concierge manager left a hand-written thank you note along with an assortment of chocolate-covered strawberries for hubby and I to enjoy. If you are looking for a wedding venue with high quality customer service, I highly recommend the Westin Poinsett for your special day!

Kelley Moore made planning my son's rehearsal dinner a pleasure. From the beginning of our interactions she was professional, responsive, and innovative. She thought of so many details that had not occurred to me. The Spoonbread Restaurant was the perfect venue for our dinner, and provided an intimate space for our 50 guests. The lobby area and piano bar provided an excellent area for our guests to congregate and relax as they waited for the wedding party to arrive. Yola, the event captain, anticipated and fulfilled our every need, and her staff was extraordinarily attentive. The chef provided a delicious meal and the filets were prepared exactly as I had instructed. Our guests' comments were a testament to the quality of the meal. From start to finish the process was a pleasure and the memories we share are precious! All of the Westin staff were delightful.

The Westin Poinsett was the perfect setting for the wedding and rehearsal dinner...I only wished we had used it for the reception as well. This was the most courteous and professional staff. From the moment we arrived on site and checked into our rooms, we were treated as if we were the only guests in the hotel. Everyone in every department of the hotel was extremely helpful in making the rehearsal, wedding and overall stay a fantastic experience.

The Westin made our wedding day go so smooth. Our wedding planner, Kelley was incredible and so helpful! She bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with everything. At the reception my husband and I were given our own table with a waitress assigned to us, all night she brought us our drinks and a few people brought us food so we were able to eat. The room was very spacious and everyone has plenty of room to move. The food was incredible! Our favorite part was going up on the roof for pictures! It was such an amazing experience! We loved having our reception at The Westin!!!!

The Westin Poinsett was a beautiful venue for our wedding and reception on September 21st. Kelley did a wonderful job of working closely with my husband and I to ensure that our day went off without a hitch. Because we are not native to Greenville, we know that the Westin is a value and you can count on them to work hard to meet your needs. Even with two weddings going on at the same time, Kelley was able to make us feel special and remained flexible on a rainy day. The staff was exceptionally helpful, polite and always available to answer questions or provide assistance. The food at the reception was very good, cold food was cold and hot food was hot. We had several family members and close friends stay the weekend at the hotel and all had a wonderful time. Sarah Locke is terrific to work with and was always available to answer questions. She responded to all my emails in a very timely manner. We did have some issues with central reservations but Amelia sorted everything out for me the day before the event. She did a great job. Our family and friends had a wonderful time and it was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. Kudos to The Westin Poinsett!

Working with the Westin Poinsett was wonderful! Sarah Locke was extremely helpful and responded to all of our emails promptly. She even helped some of our guests with complicated room requests (adjoining rooms, needed a refrigerator, etc). When we sent her our final guest and meal list, she pointed out that we were below our food and beverage minimum and gave us the option of adding other things to our reception so we would actually be getting something for our money. The food was amazing, we got many compliments from our guests. On top of that the Gold Ballroom is gorgeous and gave our reception a very classy atmosphere. Overall it was a great experience, and I would definitely use them again!

We worked with Sarah Locke throughout our planning process and she was wonderful. She was easy to get in touch wtih and efficient with e-mail communication, which was good for me since I probably e-mailed her over 1,000 times this year! :) The Westin Poinsett was the perfect location for our wedding. It was large enough for all our guests (without feeling like everyone was crammed), the food was great, and the decor and feel of the entire hotel is just gorgeous and elegant. We used the Poinsett Ballroom for our ceremony, Mezzanine Level for our cocktail hour, and the Gold Ballroom for our reception (along with a couple other rooms for rehearsal and breakfast functions). Basically, the entire hotel functioned for us, and offered the chance for our large amount of out-of-town guests to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about a drive anywhere else. Every event flowed smoothly and I really cannot think of one thing that went wrong to the point that it couldn't be easily corrected.

The experience with The Westin and especially working with Sarah Locke and the staff was outstanding. Last minuted changes on our part went smoothly and the guests were very impressed with service and dining experience.

My wedding was absolutely perfect! Sarah was a delight to work with and extremely helpful with any questions! It was perfect evening and we loved every minute of it!!!

This venue was outstanding. I would highly recommend Sarah and the Poinsett. She handled everything with grace and calm. She worked very well with both the bride and the mother! Everything was perfect.

The only issue we had was with the room block - getting it expanded or to have more days in it that originally requested. Sarah was very responsive but the steps we had to go through to get things done for the rooms seemed to be unnecessary. Seems there should be a better way to expand the block of rooms held for guests.

Besides being a beautiful venue, the Poinsett's staff has the process of a wedding down to a science. They are extremely thorough and detail oriented, which played a huge role in my flawless reception. Additionally, the venue's price includes food (people can not stop talking about how good it was), the wait and bar staff, and the tables, linens, and silverware. I have heard horror stories about brides who choose a venue because it seems like a good price, but once they add all of these things that I mentioned above, they are in over their heads, and have to deal with returning all of their rentals. It is nice to know the complete price before you commit to the venue. For the high quality of the facilites and services that come with having you reception at the Poinsett, the price is a good deal.

The perfect place in downtown Greenville for a Reception. Everything was perfect - food, service, room set up - every detail was attended to. Sarah was amazingly efficient. Responsiveness to questions was quick & concerns were addressed quickly - she treated us like we were her only event. Without question we would book there again in a hearbeat & completely mark that part of the Wedding off of "Our Wedding Worry List".

Sarah kept everything running smoothly, the staff was professional, the food was great, and the pricing was reasonable compared to similar venues, especially after I negotiated a few discounts. I loved the location downtown so my guests (mostly out-of-towners) could stay there and walk to nearby bars if they wanted to continue having fun after the reception ended. Every time that I went for planning meetings, I was beyond impressed with the quality of service. Every request that we had was answered, even requests made in the last week. In true Poinsett tradition, all who attended our reception were honored guests as they received a warm reception, dined on delicious food and experienced the spacious and elegant ambiance of the Poinsett Ballroom and adjoining veranda and mezzanine. Jennifer Davis was cheerful, accomplished, and professional in all aspects of planning our event. She was helpful with valuable suggestions, knowledgeable with prompt answers to our questions, and responsive to our requests for a layout that would accommodate a large band, dance floor, and our many guests.

The Westin hosted the wedding and reception and catered a sit down dinner for 170 in the Gold Room. It was the first time they had done a plated dinner for 170 and they did an AWESOME job. The food was hot and delicious and the presentation and service was great. We chose delmonico steak and potatoes for one entree and chicken corden blue and rissoto and then a vegetarian dish. Everyone loved their entree and the salads and bread were delicious. They delivered all of the table decor that was ours back to our rooms and boxed the cake etc. I would highlly recommend them.

A magnificent venue, superb service, friendly and responsive staff and dare I mention the wonderful food! The bride and groom, parents of the bride and groom and every single guest had a marvelous evening during the reception and a lovely stay at the Westin Poinsett, Greenville. When meeting with Jen, she would suggest lunch dates, making the expierence feel more like having lunch with a friend versus someone help plan the wedding.
