My husband and I got married this past weekend at The Wenbeck and there aren't enough words to describe how incredibly thrilled we are with our experience! Skyler and John, the owners/coordinators, are PHENOMENAL and we have absolutely adored working with them. From the moment we toured, we were impressed with not only how immaculate the grounds were kept but also with how organized they were and how valued we felt. At no point during our planning process did we ever feel like "just another couple" to them. We felt like old friends from the moment we entered! It didn’t matter what time of day we reached out with questions, they were there for us no matter what, always willing to help. They are so passionate about what they do and you’ll feel it the moment you meet them!
We looked at a total of - wait for it - fourteen (!!) different venues in the Columbus area and as soon as we met with them, the choice was obvious. Skyler and John are so authentic and genuine and went above and beyond to make our day everything we had hoped for, and then some! We absolutely cannot recommend this team and their property enough. Our guests LOVED the venue; we had so many people come up to us all night saying how gorgeous it was (the sunsets there are incredible!), and they loved getting to play mini golf during our cocktail hour!
We will truly miss working with Skyler and John and thank them a million times over for helping us create the day of our dreams. We would choose this venue over and over again! The Wenbeck is truly the best venue I could have ever asked for. The space is beautiful as is, and they have so many different enhancements to make your day exactly the way you want it to be! Our guests have described the space as "stunning," and there is so much you can do to make your wedding or event the exact way you want it to be. Above all else, you can tell that the Wenbeck team is truly passionate about what they do. They do everything they can to make the wedding planning process as smooth as possible, and their support is truly rare to come by. We cannot say enough good things about The Wenbeck. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew we wanted Skyler to be a part of our wedding day. That feeling was only echoed when we met Alexis and the rest of The Wenbeck Team. The venue is stunning, but the most special part is the care and kindness of the amazing team. From the beautiful venue to the additional details and offerings they have (the put put course was a huge hit for our cocktail hour) you can tell they truly care about making the day a cut above the rest. Every one cannot stop commenting on how beautiful our venue is and what a wonderful staff they had. Skyler and her team were beyond lovely everytime we reached out with questions or concerns, and they took care of us and truly made us feel like part of the family. We had an incredibly tough loss about a month before our wedding and Skyler and Alexis were beyond accommodating and helpful as we were planning a funeral and a wedding at the same time. For this kindness, we will never be able to truly thank them for.
Our wedding day was absolutely magical and issues or problems that came up were handled by the team swifty and without letting us know so we could truly be present and soak in all the love. Not to mention their bartenders were so fun and kept the party going out in the lobby! We had the best time planning with them and the care they showed us was unlike anything I ever expected from our wedding venue, honestly, we are a little sad it is all over and we dont have excuse to hang out with them all again. We cannot recommend The Wenbeck enough for your special day, with Skyler, Alexis, and the entire team, your day is in the best of hands.The Wenbeck's reply:

The Wenbeck | Wedding & Events Center was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was thorough, detailed, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through the planning process. The venue itself is spacious and simply elegant, with a fun golf-themed putt putt course that made for a lively cocktail hour activity for our guests. The Wenbeck team was clearly passionate about making our special day a memorable one for us and our daughter - their coordination and friendliness ensured the entire event ran smoothly from start to finish. The Wenbeck is such a beautiful, fun place with unique elements that really made it a special place for our wedding. Skyler, Alexis and the rest of the Wenbeck staff were INCREDIBLE to work with. They were incredibly trustworthy and on top of things but also very personable. They were clear and upfront with pricing and policies and really want the best for their couples. The whole facility is stunning and you can get away with minimal decoration if that is the route you would like to take. One thing I found comfort in was the pavilion being a weather contingency space. Its a really nice space that doesn’t look like a backup, but more of just an indoor option.
Our guests LOVED the putt-putt and we were glad we chose to opt in for the full reception addition.
When we looked for venues, we were hoping to find a place that allowed you to work with outside vendors and aside from their preferred vendor list for catering (which still includes a good variety of food and budget options), we were able to do to this! This allowed us to stay within our budget and still have a wedding at such a beautiful facility.

My husband and I got married on June 14th of this year. After doing quite a bit of research online for venues and visiting several as well, we decided to book our big day with The Wenbeck. From our initial meeting to the big day, communication was phenomenal. Skyler and Alexis were both extremely supportive, knowledgeable, positive and energetic which helped to make our day feel as special as possible. We felt that compared to other venues the pricing was competitive and Skyler was transparent about what their options included. There were no hidden extra costs/fees. Their facilities are very nice. We chose to have our ceremony and reception on site. For the ceremony, we had the choice of having it inside or outside. Outside they have a beautiful stamped concrete patio with a pavilion that overlooks their golf course and pond. We were planning to set seating up on the patio in front of the pavilion but there was a large risk of storms that day. We moved our ceremony into the pavilion. It just so happened that it ended up being a beautiful afternoon, however the pavilion provided perfect shade for us and our guests. The reception took place inside the main building and provided ample space for our just over 100 guests. The bar, buffet, dessert table, guest book and DJ were set up in different locations which allowed the guests to move around without being crowded in any area of the venue. The sun sets on the back of the building which provides for beautiful sunset photos on the golf course, as well as a gorgeous view from the venue as it has large windows across the back overlooking the golf course. Both Skyler and Alexis helped to keep things moving smoothly all day and it truly meant the world to us. From their help with setup, to relocating ceremony flowers to the main building for the reception, relocating signage and helping reload the film for our polaroid guest books and chatting with our super inquisitive nephew. They truly provided a wonderful experience.The Wenbeck's reply:

Skyler, John and Alexis from the Wenbeck were an absolute dream to work with. From the planning details to the actual day of our wedding they helped ease our stress, lead us in the right directions and helped capture my vision on every sense. They were extremely helpful and professional about keeping to our budget while giving us knowledgeable advice. The venue was absolutely stunning and gives you the opportunity to have an inside/outside ceremony which was important to us in case unpredictable weather occurred. Wedding planning can be so stressful but they are extremely caring and committed individuals and helped us in any way possible! Best Day Ever! Thank You Wenbeck!
Where do I begin?! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and much of that is due to Skyler, Alexis and their incredible team at the Wenbeck, and the beautiful venue itself.
Their Team was professional and always made sure that my husband and I were taken care of throughout the night and never had to worry about a single thing. Before the ceremony, John and Skyler were readily available to drive the bridal party around in the golf cart to different parts of the venue for photo ops. They made sure we were on schedule, and helped with guest arrival.
We were lucky to have absolutely perfect weather on our wedding day, so we could utilize the gorgeous ceremony space between the beautiful new pavilion and the water. It was such a beautiful setting for our nuptials.
The newly built pavilion was also used for guests to enter through and grab a glass of champagne from the Wenbeck’s adorable champagne cart. I mean what is better than a welcome glass of champagne?!
Our guests LOVED the mini golf during cocktail hour and into the night. Everyone also took advantage of the spacious balcony on the back of the reception area to watch the most gorgeous sunset!
The Wenbeck team members were there with us during our planning process right off the bat with their vendor recommendations - all of which turned out to be wonderful to work with.
Their Team provided recommendations on our ceremony and reception layouts, which made it so smooth for guests to experience different aspects, from the Photo Booth, our Polaroid guest book/flower wall, etc.
I cannot thank the team at Wenbeck enough for making our day absolutely perfect, and I cannot recommend the Wenbeck enough!!!The Wenbeck's reply:

Amazing venue
Have your wedding here!!! Skyler and John were the most amazing people to work with. They were so professional and easy to work with. We couldn’t have had a more perfect/beautiful venue. The staff were amazing and such a huge help which made the wedding run smoothly. We had the perfect wedding day and we really do believe it was because we picked Little Bear. Skyler and John helped us with the entire process, keeping great communication as well as helping out with the wedding rehearsal and with the entire wedding day. This is going to be long but stick with me – you will thank me! There are truly not enough words to describe how amazing Skyler and John are at The Wenbeck and how choosing this venue was the best decision we made during wedding planning. From the moment we met with Skyler, my husband and I knew that this was the place we would have our wedding. When you’re planning a wedding, you have to meet with SO many vendors and have to vet them all without really having any clue what you’re doing or what to look for (at least that’s how we felt having never done it before!). You will look at and read so many different policies and contracts and as time goes on, we got pretty good at figuring out who was trying to make money off of us and who really wanted to be a part of making the wedding everything WE wanted it to be. When we first went to The Wenbeck, we were instantly impressed with how beautiful it was, both inside and out. When we sat down to talk specifics, Skyler was organized, knowledgeable and so incredibly transparent. The conversation felt like sitting down with a friend who was showing you the ropes and not like we were being pitched an offer from a salesman. She was able to answer every question we had and knew down to the penny exactly what each cost was for and what the money covered. We had left other appointments questioning where the numbers came from on our quotes or questioning what the ambiguous fees added at the bottom went towards. There was none of that here. They offer SO much and their pricing is more than fair.
The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There is not a blade of grass out of place and the pavilion is the most gorgeous building you will find. It is clean, simple and the glass walls make you feel like you are outside even if you have to be inside. The ballroom is updated and pristine. The views are endless! You could not put a single piece of décor in there and it would still be beautiful. Their bar package is absolutely unbeatable, and people were thrilled with what we had at the wedding. We heard over and over how impressed people were with the vast number of choices offered both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We opted for their top package and the price was less than most places beer and wine only packages. We chose the upgraded chairs because they have the most beautiful, well maintained chivari chairs that look like they have never been sat in that we knew we had to have. We had toured other venues that had similar chairs, but they were tattered with chipped paint and had discolored cushions. We had the option to open up the putting course during our cocktail hour and knew we had to do it. The fee was minimal, and you get your money back if the weather does not cooperate. Everything was customizable to what we wanted and that is something we did not find other places. We wanted to extend the reception a bit later and start cocktail hour a bit earlier and they did that for us without hesitation and did not price gouge us whatsoever for anything we wanted to modify from the standard. On the day of the wedding their entire staff was professional, prompt, courteous and were just extensions of Skyler and John. You can tell that they all are vested in what they do in the way that you don’t often see.
Unfortunately, we were met with an immense number of bumps in the road during our wedding planning process and Skyler and John were always right there ready to jump in and help wherever and however they could. They both are so knowledgeable about the wedding industry as a whole and provided us with so much advice and support way beyond what would be expected of the venue coordination team. I truthfully don’t know what we would have done without them. Whenever we ran into problems or didn’t know what to do or how to navigate a problem, they were right there ready to help. This is what really sets The Wenbeck apart from other venues. They treat you like family and they genuinely want you to have the best wedding possible. Skyler felt more like a matron of honor than a venue coordinator to me throughout the process, and there’s just no way to really explain how valuable that was to my husband and I. You absolutely will not find any venue better than The Wenbeck. The value, attention to detail, commitment to you as the client, beauty of the venue and blessing that Skyler and John are unmatched. This place has a heart, and you will see it and feel it from the moment you walk through the door.The Wenbeck's reply:

Best wedding venue in Columbus!
The Wenbeck went above and beyond for our wedding! Their team was very professional and attentive to detail. They are very clear and upfront about prices, services, and expectations. Their venue is STUNNING! Our guests could not express enough what a wonderful location it is for a wedding. They have a beautiful waterfront, all season, pavilion. Making this the perfect spot for a wedding year round

Amazing experience!
I had my wedding at the Wenbeck in September 2023. My experience here was amazing! Skyler and John were so helpful and our big day went by SO smoothly! They both were so kind, super informative and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. They went above and beyond to make my husband & I feel so special on our big day. From the planning, to the communication and organization- they were excellent! They listened to my vision and made my dream wedding happen!
The venue itself is also SO beautiful. We were able to have our ceremony outside and the backdrop was absolutely gorgeous! My guests LOVED mini golfing at cocktail hour too! Met needs, exceeded expectations
I have so many good things to say about Skyler, John, and The Wenbeck at Little Bear Golf Club! My husband and I were considering having our wedding here but had a very short engagement (about 3 months). Skyler answered all of our questions and was so communicative and efficient. My mom and I enjoyed the detailed walkthrough we had at the venue and Skyler’s personability and attention to detail helped us feel confident about our choice.
The venue is accessible for guests who aren’t as mobile (elevator and golf carts for transporting people to and from the pavilion) and the climate controlled pavilion made it a perfect fit (we had an afternoon shower that we didn’t have to worry about). We and our guests loved getting to play mini golf during the cocktail hour. Additionally, the second-floor reception hall has a wonderful balcony for guests to get away from the noise and enjoy the west/sunset-facing view. This venue also has a large kitchen and reception hall to comfortably accommodate 180 guests (we had about 175). Not to mention, they have a NICE sized dance floor!
For looks and photos, this venue delivered! We were fortunate enough to have a gorgeous sunset and many paces for wonderful photo opportunities. The getting ready rooms were also perfect to accommodate over 8 people each. So many of our guests had wonderful things to say about this gem of a venue that’s tucked away in Lewis Center!The Wenbeck's reply:

Most amazing venue and people.
We had the best experience with using The Wenbeck as our wedding venue. Skyler was so easy to talk to, quick to respond, so patient and willing to listen, detailed, organized, and made our special day possible! Perfect venue, perfect venue managers!
Skyler and John, the venue owners/managers, were SO amazing. They were very communicative and easy to work with, and they made the wedding venue portion of planning so easy! I was able to tour the venue multiple times, they were so helpful and informative, and really helped calm my nerves and anxiety answering what must've been a hundred questions.
The venue itself is exactly what we were looking for - the outdoor ceremony area overlooks the water and even has an outdoor open air pavilion as a rain/weather option. We ended up holding our wedding underneath the pavilion with all the doors open, the cross-breeze made the 90+ degree heat feel like a perfect 75 degree day.
The inside reception space held our 128 comfortably, and the ceilings are high enough for the chair lifting in the hora (if anyone is curious). In addition to the buffet tables, we even had room for additional tables in the reception space for desserts, cards/gifts, etc. The lobby is also absolutely gorgeous with the stone fireplace and double doors. The sun sets over the large patio connected to the reception hall, creating perfect golden hour lighting both outside and in the reception hall.
The outdoor area provides great background for pictures, and everything is so clean and pristine that we didn't want extra outdoor ceremony decorations to take away from the landscape and scenery. There is even a putting course we were able to rent out during cocktail hour, a unique experience that many of our guests loved!
10/10 and 100% recommend the location and the owners - we'd love to work with them again and host an event there in the future!!The Wenbeck's reply:

The Wenbeck exceeded my expectations. Skyler, the event coordinator was beyond amazing and I could not have done this without her. She answered emails within hours, assisted my day of coordinator with any questions she had, and would even send me mock up pictures of the layout of reception hall that I wanted. I am beyond thankful for how easy The Wenbeck team made my wedding day flow, especially because I had all my own outside vendors (by choice). The Wenbeck was a great space for our fall wedding of about 85 guests! We picked this venue mainly because it gave us choice with our catering company (they provide the bar packages and setup so keep that in mind if you'd rather be able to BYOB for your wedding). My fiancé and I had to plan our wedding from afar since we lived out of state, but Skyler was super responsive with my questions and very understanding with our changes during the wedding planning process. We had a chair mishap with another vendor the night before, but luckily, Skyler was able to help us resolve it quickly and was able to help us make some last-minutes accommodations. Additionally, she was friendly and gracious throughout the entire process, which made wedding planning a lot less stressful. The space provided a lot of flexibility and convenience; we wanted to have our ceremony and reception at the same place so our guests wouldn't have to do too much driving. Since it was slightly on the chilly side on our wedding day, the ceremony pavilion was perfect for us, but if it had been warmer, having the ceremony right in front of the water would have been an option, too. We did take our photos there and the water was a beautiful backdrop! Our guests enjoyed the balcony space and putt-putt during our cocktail hour. The reception space was the perfect size for our guest count. The bridal suite was great for us to get ready in and had multiple ways of getting in and out to avoid being seen before the ceremony! We used Sheraton as our hotel for our guests, which was about 10 minutes away from the venue, but there were also a decent number of Airbnbs near the area that you could rent as well. Overall, I highly recommend this as a wedding venue!The Wenbeck's reply:

Working with Skyler was a pleasure. She was very flexible in catering to what we had pictured, and helped to make it a very special day! We just had our wedding there in early October. Skyler and John were very responsive and easy to communicate with. They worked with me to make my vision happen! And just outstanding views, my pictures look amazing! They were also very upfront about additional charges and expenses which I appreciated!
