Our experience with Rev. Dave was honestly a hit from the beginning! His personality is magnetic and you can tell he puts love and intention into the wedding ceremonies that he is a part of. He has different content up his sleeve (you’ll see when you book with him) to truly give you an unforgettable ceremony. Our guests could NOT stop raving about him and all of our guests thought that we had YEARS of personal family connections with him, when in reality we only had a 3-4 planning sessions. One of our close family friends even told my dad that our ceremony was the best ceremony he had ever seen and his daughter just got married (sorry girl!).
All i can say is this: when you receive his pricing, DO NOT SKIMP. My (now) husband and i paid for this wedding ourselves, and i do admit that we went with the middle package because of our own hectic schedules and finances, but Rev Dave is WORTH IT ALL. You are (hopefully) only getting married one time, and one of THE best decisions you could make is hiring Rev. Dave!The Wedding Rev's reply:

Reverand Dave was very friendly and social. My husband and I were comfortable opening up to him especially since we chose to do the pre- marital counseling sessions which we recommend doing. He made our ceremony personalized to us. We were able to choose what we wanted vs what we didn’t want. He emailed us our script before the ceremony. He ran the rehersal very well. Lovely Ceremony
Rev. Dick officiated our wedding. He was so easy to work with during the planning stage. He welcomed and accommodated feedback to the script. He really partnered with me to customize the ceremony like the glass unity ceremony and scripting to really make it feel like us. He was kind, patient and very responsive. He ran the rehearsal expertly. And the day of the wedding he was a great source of calm, reassurance and peace. Thank for being such a calming presence and making our special moment extra memorable and personal. -

Dave was wonderful as an officiant for our wedding. We wanted someone fun and someone to keep the guests entertained with a short and sweet ceremony. Dave did it all. He told a love story about us, kept the crowd engaged, and was very touching with his statements. We met with Dave a few times before our wedding. He is very organized, prompt, and a wonderful officiant. He also handled making sure the marriage certificates were delivered to the county fast. I recommend Rev. Dave to anyone!! Karen was amazing and we could not be happier with having her officiate our wedding. It was really important to us to find someone who we felt knew us personally and could capture our story in a magical way. Throughout the whole process of getting to know us (multiple meetings, script proofing, individualized messages) she was so kind, considerate, funny, and a joy to work with. She was able to incorporate magic, humor, faith and love within our short ceremony and we are so grateful. She helped kept the ceremony run smoothly and was a sense of calm during the busy day! Plus, our guests had AMAZING things to say about her! Could not recommend more! -

Cannot recommend Rev. Dave enough. He's genuine, caring, truly gets to know you, and he's FUNNY! His humor matched ours very well and was a large part of the reason we chose him. We wanted to have fun, and Rev. Dave was the guy. So many friends and family had positive things to say about him. He did so great with our love story. We chose the package with premarital counseling and highly, highly recommend. I’m so grateful to Rev. Karen for officiating our wedding. We received so many compliments on how beautiful and heartfelt our ceremony was, and a big part of that was the incredible script she put together.

Making a joyful and amazing occasion, even more amazing and joyful!
Rev. Dave brought so much more to our wedding than we could have ever anticipated. The script he prepared was nothing short of amazing. It was as though a very close friend had written it for us.
He had our families, and friends become an intimate part of our ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. He brought smiles, laughter and warmth to everyone attending. Working with The Wedding Rev - Rev. Dave Angle was an absolute delight. His communication style was always on top of getting back to us when we had questions pop up, entertaining, and incredibly descriptive. He was so caring, understanding, and clearly very experienced as an officiant. He took our love story and really made us remember all the important bits and pieces from when we met, first dates, first I love yous, the proposal, and much more. Dave was so fun and nice to work with, he had great jokes and kept everyone entertained throughout the ceremony and rehearsal. He was very different from the other three officiants we met with and really vibed with us opposed to them. Rev. Dave has such a great, social personality that we appreciated having for our ceremony. He finds ways to involve the guests in the ceremony, cracks jokes, tell our story, and make it such a meaningful ceremony for us and guests alike. There were a lot of tears shed during the ceremony (and not just from those of us up at the front). We had many of our guests tell us how great he was afterwards. Rev. Dave puts in a lot of care to making the ceremony special, including lots of time dedicated to the couple to learn more about them as well as running the rehearsal, making sure everyone does a great job for the day of. When we first began searching for an officiant we had no idea what to expect. However, the second we spoke to Rev. Karen we knew we were in good hands. I have to say that wedding planning can be quite stressful at times but she always made us feel at ease. My husband and I absolutely loved working with Rev Dave. He is incredibly personable and friendly, and we hit it off with him from our very first Zoom meeting. We ultimately chose to work with him because we appreciated how much information he included on his website, including live videos of him officiating weddings (which we couldn't really find on any other officiant's website). We also loved having the opportunity to do marriage counseling sessions with him - he created a safe space for me and my husband to have open and honest conversations with each other, and we often spent extra time after those sessions discussing the topics we went over that day. And on wedding day, he did an amazing job personalizing the ceremony for us - from choosing a thoughtful reading, engaging our bridal parties and guests throughout the ceremony, and telling the story of how we met seamlessly. Our ceremony was the highlight of our wedding for us 🪴 Family & friends loved our ceremony just as much. Rev Dave made the effort to get to know us & all of our guests could tell. We had several friends who assumed that he was a family member or personal friend! We received so many complements on the format of our ceremony & how lighthearted, yet personal he made the experience. The secret silly vows are such a perfect & unique addition. The unity plant was perfect for us.
Rev Dave’s preparation & reassurance were the perfect fit for my gregarious husband AND my shy self. He livens up any event, but balances this with understanding & support for those of us who are t.e.r.r.i.f.i.e.d. of standing in front of a crowd to divulge our innermost emotions.
Our wedding would not have been what it was without Rev Dave. He was always there to guide us & made our ceremony so perfectly “us”. We can not recommend him highly enough.

Dave was our officiant for our May 2024 wedding and we do not regret having him! From the first meeting with him, he was extremely friendly, organized and we could tell he had a passion for weddings and loved the job. Dave was on top of all the details, spent extra time with us during our final meeting to really nail down our love story and make the ceremony outline perfect. He got the final outline to us 2 weeks before the wedding so we had plenty of time to read it over and make adjustments as needed, but we didn’t need to make many adjustments since it was nearly perfect. He came to our rehearsal and immediately took charge, making the rehearsal run smoothly and everyone felt comfortable with their role after one run through. Our wedding ceremony was everything we wanted and we are so thankful for all the work Dave put it to making it that way! You will not regret hiring Dave to officiant your wedding. Working with Dave for our wedding ceremony was truly wonderful - we were both a bit nervous going into our initial discovery call site-unseen, but Dave quickly made us feel incredibly comfortable and left us with no doubt he would blow our ceremony out of the water - and that he did!
Dave did a great job providing us some simple tools to help design a script for our wedding ceremony. He really does a wonderful job intertwining a large variety of details into a beautiful script that really tugged at the heartstrings, while keeping it lighthearted and fun!
The script translated into a beautiful ceremony - We went for a more traditional-style series of vows and scripting, but hoped to keep it 'light', fun, and plenty of moments for some laughter and light-heartedness. Dave knocked our vision out of the park - the ceremony was filled with both laughter and tears of joy from both us and our families/friends - we received countless positive comments on how much our guests enjoyed Dave - book him! We had such an amazing experience with Rev. Angle!!
From the start, it was very easy to work with him. We emailed him and we got a response quickly to set up what we’d like for our wedding.
I was initially worried that he wouldn’t come to the Rockford area but was glad to hear he comes this way!
Rev. Angle was so easy to talk to, I was ready to spill my life story to him. We definitely felt understood and heard about what we wanted for our ceremony.
We planned a very small wedding with only our immediate family present.
He made sure to include everyone and kept the energy up through the duration of the ceremony.
He knew which areas of our venue would be best for us. He worked wonderfully with the photographers to ensure they got what they needed.
We had something happen that altered the placement of our planned ceremony, Rev. Angle handled it professionally and we made adjustments as necessary and we are so grateful for him and his calm presence.

I cannot speak highly enough of Reverend Dave. If you want a personalized and lighthearted ceremony your guests will talk about, you’ve found your officiant. We met with Dave after seeing all of his positive reviews and they do not do him justice. Our guests were asking how long we knew him, commenting on how beautiful the ceremony was, and entirely charmed by the entire thing. Reverend Dave was a pleasure to work with and far exceeded our expectations. We wanted a non-religious focused wedding ceremony while still remaining very traditional and formal, and he gave us that and more. The "marriage counseling" sessions before our wedding felt less like counseling and more like two-hour hangout sessions with a friend. He took the time to really get to know us along the way and create a special ceremony created just for us. While we were talking about the ceremony timeline, I tried to keep it formal and was turned off by the idea of jokes in his script, but when the time came for us to stand up in front of all of our loved ones... let me tell you, his jokes were perfect and just what we needed to take all the ceremony anxiety away. Rev Dave was the perfect officiant for our wedding!
When my fiancé and I started out the process of searching for an officiant most would ask us what we wanted. We had a few ideas but had no idea the first thing about structuring our wedding. When we first met Rev. Dave via zoom he laid out how the ceremony would go but was open to anything we would like. It was exactly what we were looking for.
Before the wedding, he took the time to meet again and learn every detail of our love story. For the rehearsal and before the wedding he made sure our wedding party would look their best for the photos.
And for the wedding he was amazing. He gave us a lovely ceremony while being sentimental and funny. I'd never heard so many laughs at a wedding but he also made sure to add the right amount of a religious component which was very important to us. The most important thing he did was get out of the way for our first kiss as a married couple to make sure the photo was perfect! His attention to detail cannot be matched for your big day when there are so many details to keep track of. I would recommend him to anyone and would give him 6 out of 5 stars if I could. We were recommended to Rev. Dave by another vendor who we trusted. We wanted the ideal officiant to pair with this vendor. As soon as we began our discussion with Rev Dave, his unique style was obvious and we knew he would indeed pair well with our over all goal of having a “wow” experience wedding for us and our guests. We chose his full service package, which was regular pre marital counseling and coaching etc. This was the real value to us, and his wedding day performance (as well as thorough rehearsal day coaching) was the icing on the cake and a treat for our guests. Even the other vendors were very pleased with how well he worked with them (and in some cases, did their job for them…that’s how thorough Rev Dave is). Top Notch Personable Service
Rev Karen was amazing. From our first Zoom call to our special day, Karen met all of our needs and made our big day so very special. Her personal touch is top notch. She is very professional and has a caring heart! She had so many great insights that she shared with us to help us make our day everything we wanted it to me. As a nervous bride she made sure to check on me the day of. I really appreciated that. She kept my day of person (my SIL) informed and they worked well together. My wife and I had our wedding on 10/8/23 and used Rev Dave. He did an amazing job at making our wedding ceremony memorable and amazing. Prior to our big day he spent a lot of time finding out what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations when the time came. Dave was AWESOME. My wife and I very grateful to have had him officiate our wedding. He is very thorough and makes every moment personal and special. He is also extremely accommodating; driving to our rehearsal dinner and setting up meetings that were convenient for us. One thing that we absolutely loved about Dave is that he is extremely personable. He’s so easy to talk to and he makes you feel like you’ve known him your entire life. Reverend Dave is the best reverend we know, and we are IN the wedding business. When we got engaged early this year, we knew who we wanted to have for our ceremony right away, and called him to make sure he was available for our date, which he was (we would have changed our date if not!). Rev Dave is not only a real reverend, ordained by the church, but he is also funny and personable, which really helps make the ceremony a FUN event! He's also has years of experience, so you cannot go wrong. Don't skimp on your ceremony - get the best reverend there is!!

We found Rev. Dave on the knot app and after our initial meeting, we immediately booked him for our wedding. It was so nice getting to review our story with him for the ceremony and reliving all the memories and then getting to share them with family/friends that didn't really know it!
He made everything super easy and smooth and very personal to you and your partner. Also makes it a good time as opposed to just reading the traditional vows. We opted for doing 3 additional vows which our whole crowd loved and we got multiple comments on how cute they were.
We would highly recommend Rev. Dave!!

Best decision you can make!
Rev Dave is one of the best people you will come to find. He became a huge part of our lives these last few months and made the ceremony one to remember. We decided to do the premarital counseling sessions with him and learned a lot about ourselves and how to better understand each other. His insight and resources were valuable to establish the foundation of our marriage. Rev Dave also intentionally learned everything he could about us so that he could make our wedding ceremony uniquely ours. He even helped us sneak in our pregnancy announcement which was a huge surprise for most of our guests. He is such a great guy that we hope to remain in contact with for years to come. Working with Rev Dave Angle was such a treat! Our first video consult was so much fun and we knew right away we wanted Rev Dave to marry us. He made us so comfortable and shared with us what to expect on the day of our wedding with having fun being the number one priority and he did not disappoint. We chose to go with the pre-martial classes and are so happy that we did. We both truly enjoyed them and learned so much about each other, I could not wait for our next class. Rev Dave was able to get to know us and see how we interacted with each other and was able to incorporate what he learned about us into our love story. Rev Dave was always available and super flexible with our busy schedule. The day of our rehearsal all of our family and friends immediately fell in love with him and were so excited for the day of! On our I Do day, Rev Dave did not disappoint!! We have had nothing but compliments on our ceremony, our family and friends loved hearing our love story. Rev Dave made all the guests laugh, feel welcomed and so excited to be there, the details he included throughout the ceremony made it that much more special. Rev. Dave was the perfect choice for our wedding. He was a joy to work with and really understood our story and what style of ceremony we wanted. We opted for pre-marital counseling with him as well which I highly recommend. Not only does it prepare you for your future marriage but also gave Rev Dave a longer period of time to get to know us, our personalities and what kind of couple we are. The counseling also includes materials for future use as well to help foster communication throughout the years. The ceremony was a perfect mix of what we asked for in regard to religious, funny and personal. So many of my friends and family were appreciative of the special touches he incorporated into the ceremony and were surprised to hear our whole love story of how we met and fell in love. We were able to exchange not only set traditional vows but also some personally written vows. I cannot recommend Rev Dave enough if looking for someone to preform your ceremony.
