    On Dacia:
Our wedding day was in the midst of an insane heatwave, and the most desirable floor for photos was not air-conditioned. We were on tight timelines. This easily could have created a frantic, stressful atmosphere, but thanks to Dacia, we were all able to make the best of it and totally enjoy ourselves. In the 8+ hours she spent with us, Dacia exhibited constant cheer, calming presence, and professional demeanor. Her organization and conviviality kept us grounded, laid-back, and most importantly, ourselves. Simply put, she was an absolute delight to work with. I don't think anyone else could've kept my husband and I as relaxed and high-spirited as Dacia did. Heat aside, the day was absolutely magical, and I credit Dacia for playing the largest part in creating our euphoric, enchanted mood.

    On our photos:
Dacia is the definition of a true artist. Our photos are stunning. In addition to capturing every detail of the wedding, she captured every poignant moment too. The vibe that emanates from the photos so perfectly reflects the mood of our wedding that just by looking at the shots, you feel as if you are there. Her shots, angles and lighting made us feel like we were in a Vogue photoshoot! But the expressions and glances she captured of me and my husband are purely us. This mixture of true artistic talent with an innate ability to bring out the true essence of her subjects are what makes Dacia so unique and special. We can't sing her praises enough.

We can't say enough good things about the bi-costal wonder that is the Wedding Artists Collective! On a friend's recommendation, we hired Gary Ashley to photograph our wedding at Brooklyn Winery and are so, so happy we did! Hiring Gary for our New York wedding though he lives in California (and we wouldn't be able to meet face to face prior to the day) could have been viewed as a gamble. But It was clear from the first phone call we had with Gary that no matter the geological distance, he was the perfect person to capture our day. He felt like an old friend by the end of the phone call, remembering details about us both. Gary seems genuinely in awe of weddings and gives off loving vibes. He has an incredibly laid back style that went perfectly with the relaxed attitude we wanted for our wedding. He let us do things at our pace and was there to catch the story as it was unfolding. He was able to capture both the moments and the details of our day with impeccable timing and artistic vision. Throughout the planning process and the actual wedding day, Gary (and Lisa)'s positivity, warmth, and professionalism was reassuring and made us feel at ease. The photos we have now are incredible and unforgettable, and we, our friends and family all love them! Gary and his second shooter Cadence Kennedy were able to put a special touch on our moments that give them a classic, timeless quality. The more we look at them, the more we love them. We can relive our wedding day whenever we want by looking at the story of the day captured by Gary (which at this stage is about 5-6 times a day!). We really can't express enough how amazing our photos look and how much we would recommend Gary, Lisa, and the Wedding Artist's Collective!!!

We LOVE working with Lisa and the Wedding Artists Collective! Lisa is not only a joy to work with, but she also has impeccable taste, which she has used to create a roster of photographers and videographers who's work is beautiful, creative, and thoughtful. Each member is a professional, bringing years of knowledge and experience to their craft, and is truly an artist. The best part is that Lisa let's all of her members concentrate on what they do best (capturing beautiful moments!), while she handles all the logistics like, contracts, scheduling, billing, and anything else that might pop up. As wedding planners, this scenario is nothing short of a dream come true!! We've also had the pleasure of working with Lisa + some of her photographers on some smaller industry events, and we're absolutely inspired by her continual effort to build community and support others in this creative industry.

We had Brooke Fitts from Wedding Artists Collective for our July 19 Catskills wedding and cannot say enough good things about her. I first met with Brooke in early spring and knew from the get-go that she was the photographer we wanted. An experienced photographer who knows what she is doing, Brooke is both comfortable and professional (surprising how rare that combo can be!) As our wedding site was 3 hours north of NYC, she scoped out the location ahead of time online and was in communication with us leading up to the wedding to pre-plan the shots which were most important to us. Dealing with what felt like 100 different vendors leading up to the wedding, it was so nice to know she was on the ball without me needing to do anything. My fiancé and I both are a little camera shy. Brooke did a great job of making us feel comfortable and was able to get all the shots she needed during the ceremony without being a very noticeable presence. She did a great job of working almost behind-the-scenes (I never liked it when you saw a photographer running around a bride and groom, snapping shots while they were saying their vows) and Brooke proved to be truly discreet but also accessible if we needed her (and there are always those moments during a wedding when you instantly have to have a shot of something!) At one point, I realized I wanted a picture of my grandmother’s bible that I had carried down the aisle and when I asked Brooke if we could get a shot of it, her reply was “Already done.” That about summarizes it – you can trust that she is on the ball and you can then sit back and enjoy your day. In summary, Brooke brings a positive attitude, calmness and a sense of humor to your most emotional and fantastic day. If you are looking for a professional photographer with an eye for great shots who puts your interests first, go with Brooke!

I had a very specific idea of what I wanted for our pictures from our wedding day - I wanted to be able to relive the day and see a story in our photos, I wanted it to be candid, I wanted to feel the emotion of the day, see the parts that as the bride I wouldn't get to see (like guests hanging out at the church before hand, or arriving for the cocktail hour), and I wanted them to be beautifully done. We got all that, PLUS quite possibly the nicest photographer to boot. We worked with Shannen Norman who did such a wonderful job capturing those moments throughout the day that you want to remember for ever. She was so nice in fact that our guests commented that they too loved our photographer! And have a crazy mom? Not to worry, Shannen can handle that and still make it feel as though the focus is on the bride and groom - and not miss the moment. To say I am happy is an understatement. I love the "staged" shots that don't feel staged at all. Everyone that has seen the pictures has gushed, and I can't help but gush here too. Love Shannen.

Photography is such an emotional thing and it was extremely important to me to have someone with a vision capturing our day. We spent quite sometime researching for the perfect fit: someone creative with a modern way of capturing candid moments. When we found Brooke, I knew we had to work with her. In fact, she was the very first vendor we booked. I can say without any doubt, she lives up to and exceeds expectations on delivery. She doesn't make you feel posed and doesn't try to stage scenarios. She lets you be yourself with loved ones and discreetly photographs those moments. Beyond being a natural talent, she is just a lovely person. You can see in the art she makes that she is dedicated to what she does. We feel lucky to have had her as our photographer.

I should mention Brooke brought a second shooter with her, Lauren, who was very nice and accommodating to us + wedding party. Lauren was definitely vigilant to capture us and our guests during cocktail hour, then went on to capture the crazy/amazing photobooth photos. She did a great job!

Also, I want to add that working with Lisa to set up all the details was a pleasure. She was extremely prompt with emails and was happy to answer any questions we had.

Working with the wedding artists collective was a great investment in our memories. Thank you so much, Brooke, Lauren & Lisa!!

In short, Lisa and Gary are absolutely the best. Lisa is the most responsive, kind, wonderful person who made the booking process so easy and exciting; I am thrilled to now call her a friend after all of this. And Gary is just the most calming, charming, easy-going, and talented of souls. We are so thrilled with our photos; Gary made the most beautiful day of our lives look even better than we remember it. He captured everyone at their very best and also their most sweetly candid; all of the moments we now have on film are so heartfelt and special.

More specifically, the booking process couldn't have been easier; Lisa got back to my emails practically immediately. In the week leading up to the wedding, we hopped on a call with Gary to introduce ourselves, go over specifics about the day, and explain everything that we hoped for in the images. By the time we got off the phone--nearly two hours later--we felt as though we had just hung up with an old friend. The day of the wedding, Lisa and Gary showed up early to scout, set up the "photo booth," and then threw themselves into shooting. (I put photo booth in quotes, by the way, because really, we felt as though Gary captured incredible portraits of all who stood before his lens. There was nothing 'point and shoot' about these images; each one was thoughtful and gorgeous.)

Nothing about Gary's images are forced or posed; that was huge for us. Instead, they are ethereal yet grounded, timeless, and simply beautiful. They are images we will cherish always.

To start, Lisa Raffo Ashley might be the nicest person on the face of the planet. I must have sent her a thousand emails and every single one was met with the nicest, most patient response a bride-to-be could hope for. As you can imagine, the period before a wedding is hectic, but she answered every question and helped me with every single little issue that came up. She was so lovely and I can't thank her enough for her time and effort.

Now, to get to Josh and Murphy... Having Josh Goleman as our photographer was the one of the very first decisions we made in our planning process, second only to where we wanted to get married. We had friends and acquaintances use Josh for their weddings, and we knew his artistic direction is exactly what we wanted. We were beyond thrilled when he agreed to be our photographer. He is professional, versatile, kind, amazing, just everything! In most of the photos you are unable to tell what time period our photos are from, and that's exactly what we wanted.
Josh and his assistant, Murphy, were so wonderful on the day of the wedding. They added such a calming and helpful presence, Murphy even helped my groom get into his tux! Josh is really incredible at capturing intimate moments and emotions, which are the most important on a day like your wedding.
From every step: getting ready, portraits, ceremony, reception, and ending with an incredible photo booth, Josh Goleman was worth his weight in gold, PLUS SOME!!!!!

The photographs they took are already heirloom treasures we will have for a lifetime. We CANNOT thank you enough!!!!!

After viewing the WAC's website, we feel in love with their work and knew we would have to book them for our wedding. Shannen was an absolute doll, her relaxed and reassuring demeanor eased some of the stress of that day. She was very helpful and guided us to make sure she got the best shots. The final prints were beyond our expectations, she captured the emotions of the day so beautifully. Can't wait to use her again for our reception next year!

From experience I can say with confidence that The Wedding Artist Collective is highly selective of the photographers they represent. Their process is professional, streamlined and a true pleasure to work with when planning your wedding day.

I am a professional photographer and Art Director, so I had very high expectations for how I wanted our wedding day captured. After we found our venue, the search for the perfect photographer began. I had advised my sister on a photographer for her wedding, and although the woman she selected is incredibly talented, she is not a friendly person. This was disappointing considering you spend much of your wedding day with your photographer. Brooke was a true dream come true for me. She responded to all my correspondence ahead of time, which set me at ease. My husband and I met with her in person ahead of time and loved her right away. She was a pleasure to spend our wedding day with and made us feel special. Our second shooter, Ruth Powell is also a gem and did a stunning job. I have formed a friendship with Brooke post wedding, and hope to one day hire her for family photos when our first child is born next year.

Not only was Brooke a true pleasure to work with, but she executed the most stunning photography of our wedding day. She captured the true emotion of the day and has given our family a time capsule of pure beauty to hold on to for the rest of our lives and one day share with future generations. Not only do we love the photos, but others do as well. We were featured on Style Me Pretty New York, Carrot & Cake, as well as cover models for PDN Magazine's wedding issue. All proof that Brooke has exceptional talent!

Thank you Lisa, Brooke and Ruth a million times over. You gave this picky girl a gift that far surpassed the value of any monetary amount we exchanged. I will treasure you all for a lifetime!

Gary photographed my sister's wedding - and we knew once we saw the very first pictures from her day, that we wanted him to photograph ours as well. We love his photography style - it's very informal and relaxed - which fit perfectly with our wedding. Looking through our wedding photos you could really get a sense of what it was like to be there on that day. Gary captured all the little details so perfectly - nothing was left out and we can honestly say that we could not have imagined anything more complete and amazing! But besides the outstanding photography, Gary and Lisa from The Wedding Artists Collective are really down to earth, and truly genuine people. They made everyone feel relaxed - and it showed in the photos. Everyone looks really natural and Gary really captured their personalities. The box we received with our photos and Polaroids from the photobooth, was so nicely hand packaged, every detail was so considered. You can tell they really care about their craft and quality. They are professional, fun, and extremely talented! Start to finish - a really memorable experience and beautiful photographs.

Shannen Norman photographed my July 2012 wedding, and she was absolutely terrific. She was flexible about meeting for the first time, at a coffee shop in New York. She listened to our requests and helped us to clarify what we wanted. In the months before our wedding, she was always very responsive. On the day of our wedding, she was an absolute delight. She and her assistant made all of us feel so comfortable, and she was unobtrusive while still managing to capture all of the important moments. Her calm, warm demeanor put all of us at ease on what could have been a very stressful day. She had great ideas for how to photograph us, and our bridal party and families loved her. She even stayed late at the wedding-- past the time we had stipulated in our contract-- to capture sparklers at the end. She delivered the photos in a timely manner and we were thrilled with them. Shannen was by far the best person we worked with for our wedding, and I recommend her highly.

We could not be happier... If I could add 20 stars to each category, I would! The WAC were such a pleasure to work with! My husband and I decided that of all the wedding expenses, and there are too many to go into, the photo + video services we booked through the Wedding Artists Collective were the most worthy expenses for our entire wedding! We now have timeless memories that we will be able to share for many generations to come. Thank you so much for capturing the magic of our special day so eloquently. We will refer you to everyone we know embarking on this exciting journey. :)

Brooke was delightful to work with. As the mother of the bride, I was hoping for beautiful pictures for us and all of our guests of our first daughters wedding. She was there before we arrived and left after we left that evening. Always smiling and even checking in with me to ask if there was any other shots I wanted to make sure we had gotten. When the pictures became available on the website, we were amazed at the great moments she had captured. The color and lighting looked unreal and the choices she made for the photos were absolutely lovely. If there was a unique sun ray to be seen, Brooke caught it on film with the bride and groom right there. Thank you so very much Brooke!!!!

The Wedding Artists Collective's photography was beyond my wildest dreams! You must have them photograph your wedding! We had Gary Ashley, but I assure you that you would be happy with anyone from this collective.
Not only was he amazing the day of (super mellow, creative, accommodating, punctual, hardworking..I could go on and on), but the photos themselves are stunning. I catch myself looking at them almost every day to relive the feeling of that day over and over. Gary captured not only the beautiful and personal details that made our wedding "ours," but he captured the very essence of what made our day so special.

Brooke shot for us twice – in Seattle in September 2013 for our engagement photos and during our engagement dinner and then in Brooklyn, NY in July 2014 for our wedding. Across both events, Brooke’s friendly and supportive style managed to put us at ease in front of the camera. She had a great eye in capturing us naturally while highlighting the unique (and sometimes untraditional) qualities of all the various locations we chose, which included a secluded wooded creek under an abandoned train trestle, a modern Korean/French lofted restaurant, a graffiti-covered bridge spanning a polluted canal, and a grand Art Deco library. Brooke’s photos of us in Brooklyn really reflected the blend of urbanism and artistry that we love about our home in New York City, framing the refined and warm atmosphere of our intimate and loving event within its gritty and industrial cityscape. Overall, Brooke captured a great mix of intimate and personal moments and the labored-over details of the event décor, while still documenting the overall ambience with broader shots.

The experience of working with Brooke was also great. She and her management were prompt over email and very organized. During the shoots, she was efficient in moving through our shot list, while still being open to last minute changes that arose. Brooke is a balanced juxtaposition of professionalism and easygoing flexibility. Even the care and creativity with the final product presentation confirms Brooke’s high standards and thoughtfulness she carries for her clients.

Hiring Gary was one of the best decisions that we made. We chose him because we loved his aesthetic, and what a delight to find that he was also a wonderful presence throughout our entire wedding weekend! He blended in, made people feel unselfconscious and won over our parents and friends. He also was receptive to feedback about photos we wanted taken and our comfort levels throughout the whole day. We love the finished product! One thing I didn't even realize before we received our photos is that so few wedding photographers can elegantly capture a dance floor while also communicating the energy of a wedding, and Gary really nailed it. I'd recommend him to anyone who's looking for a journalistic approach to chronicling an event. Thank you Gary and Wedding AC!

We were so happy we worked with Brooke to shoot our Brooklyn Winery wedding. She was great to be around and put everyone at ease. And the photos- wow! We decided to splurge on this element since we knew it was an element we'd have forever and we are so glad we did. She caught so many amazing moments and we got so many beautiful shots. Gary and Lisa were fantastic to work with. They were easy to get in touch with and quickly understood the kind of photos we were looking for. At the wedding Gary was completely relaxed and unobtrusive - he was really professional but also just had a great vibe and made things fun even when they could have been somewhat stressful. We were completely thrilled with how the photos turned out in the end, too.
