    Amazing Experience!

If you're looking for a venue in the north Georgia mountains, with an amazing view and a truly exceptional staff, look no further. The Waterfall Club, Salem and her team are absolutely incredible. From start to finish, they made the experience of planning our wedding an absolute breeze. They're organized, friendly and everything about our wedding day went off without a single hitch. We had both our rehearsal and wedding at the Waterfall Club, and we truly could not have hoped for a better experience. Book your wedding with them, we promise you will not regret it!

    Dream Mountain Wedding!!

We had our wedding reception at Waterfall Club. It was such an amazing experience! Everything from the beginning was on-point. The event manager helped us with a list of vendor recommendations for our DJ and photographer - which both turned out to be wonderful! The staff was extremely personable, and even drove us around the golf course to take beautiful photos with our photographer. The food was delicious, and we got nothing but compliments after the event. I would definitely recommend Waterfall Club for any of your event, golf, and accommodation needs!

The Waterfall Club is an absolutely amazing venue that has more to offer than just it's incredible views. We chose Waterfall because Lake Burton has significant meaning to our family and the Club offered an all inclusive location for all of our wedding weekend festivities. We booked the Waterfall Club 11 months in advance and the initial booking was seamless. We hit a few bumps in the road during an internal transition that brought about a new Event Coordinator a few short months prior to our wedding day. Given the circumstances of the last minute change the new lead coordinator, Cammie Harris, and the General Manager, Jason LeBlanc, were quick to respond. They both attended our last in-person meeting to finalize all of the details, ensure we were all on the same page and that everything was in order to execute a flawless wedding weekend. Our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect in every way imaginable. From our welcome party Thursday, to our rehearsal dinner and wedding day everything ran smoothly and the Waterfall staff were there to help every step of the way. I cannot say enough about how personable, hard working, genuine, and professional all of the staff were. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for the entire weekend!! I highly recommend the Waterfall Club if you're looking for an all-inclusive venue that offers an unbeatable view of Lake Burton, great food, an immaculate golf course, wonderful staff, and that serves as a place to host your dream wedding!!

I've planned and hosted several weddings at Waterfall Club and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the venue, the professionalism of the staff, and the willingness of everyone associated with the club to insure our bride, groom and their guests have the most wonderful experience. I can easily recommend this venue to the discriminating couple as it will surely meet expectations. And the view. . . . always spectacular and sure to impress!

Save your money on subpar service

Never in my life have I had such an egregious display of immortality and lack of professionalism in an establishment that is supposedly classy.

After attempting to resolve the issue with the establishment by speaking to Dee Dee Matis
their mediocre Food and Beverage Events Director numerous times and after admitting to being negligent and careless with our property and wedding execution, I found it necessary to warn other potential brides in order to save you $30k on a venue that doesn’t care once your money is paid.

Our wedding was in October on a cold windy day that started off raining. Per our contract we were supposed to have firewood in the fireplaces along with propane heat lamps. Instead of being provided these obviously necessary amenities our guests and food were left to freeze. After the wedding when we called to complain we were told by staff we should have requested them which is absolutely absurd if you speak to anyone in hospitality management with scruples.

Our cocktail hour was supposed to be in the garden, per conversations with Salem Addis their event coordinator, I was assured if it were too cold we would move it from the garden to the porch where there would be the heat lamps. Instead we were left with high boys being blown over in the garden (which occurred during the ceremony and setup which allowed adequate time to change plans and move the cocktail hour upstairs). Since it was too cold guests began to move into the dining room prematurely which did not allow our event coordinator to gather family members for pictures quickly enough. This caused us to be unable to get many pictures we planned, due to guests coming up to us to take pictures.

We ordered the chicken and waffle lollipops which were supposed to have a sweet and spicy sauce drizzled on them and they were so dry and bland it was embarrassing. They were not the same thing we tasted at the menu tasting a few months prior, despite requesting ramekins of extra sauce to be on the trays passed by their staff. We had a slider display that I made very clear I did not want displayed in the garden if it were too cold (which it so very clearly was by the excessive wind and rain that morning) so our guests enjoyed cold sliders. My family and guests were told the appetizers would be brought to the foyer and after a long period of time they were served cold appetizers.

I was escorted through the kitchen numerous times for outfit changes etc. where I saw staff packing our excess food (from guests who did not attend) in containers and when they saw me they whispered to each other and stopped. Regardless I saw many containers already packed. When I asked for the plated meals that were not served to be given to guests who were still hungry and to my family I was told numerous times by Dee Dee and a gentleman named Sam that the food was made to order and there wasn’t any excess food (which is impossible for a large event and anyone respectable in hospitality management will confirm this). Many of my guests told us the staff was going through the dining room loudly stating how many guests weren’t there and which meals to keep in the kitchen, clearly indicating the bold lies Dee Dee confidently told us.

We paid an extra $2.50 per guest (130 guests) to have a traditional rice dish served on the side of the plated meals. We provided very large amounts of prepared rice to The Waterfall Club the morning of the wedding. When the plated meals were served, there was a small, three bite serving of the rice and the staff enjoyed the rest of the rice rather than it being served. How do I know they ate it? Because my family were told how delicious it was and were asked about the recipe. We very clearly paid for a larger portion and Dee Dee claimed it was two ice cream scoops worth of rice but it was very clearly not.

Since my husband and I were unable to eat the appetizers they had put aside for us in the conference room, I asked they be brought down to our table by the gentleman who never brought them to us. My husband and I ordered a duo meal of a ribeye and fried lobster tail with spinach gnocchi which consisted of the hardest gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life which is sad to say at an establishment which claims to have a chef. The ribeye looked like they made one steak and cut it in half for us to split.

The women were given the women’s locker and game room to get ready for the wedding where our photographer was taking traditional getting ready photos. We had many expensive items thrown together in a pile by the staff while we were at the lodge celebrating our marriage. I’m not sure who decided it was a good idea to touch other people’s belongings, which I’m sure would have never occurred with their club members; it was very disrespectful and distasteful. My mother’s second gown was torn and my garment bag for my wedding dress was misplaced and my $6,000 gown had to be placed in a large garbage bag. Dee Dee claimed she would replace the cost of my mother’s dress but still hasn’t contacted her regarding this. Regardless of her empty promises and disingenuous apology, you shouldn’t touch anyone’s property without even offering them the opportunity to retrieve them.

We had numerous club members walking through our wedding in plain clothes because they “wanted to see the bride and the wedding” which we were polite enough to be kind but was very rude and extremely disrespectful to be allowed by the staff. To top it off the staff rudely began stacking chairs and removing our wedding favors from the tables in the dining room while our guests were dancing at 10:20pm despite us reserving the space til 11:50pm. This caused guests to leave prematurely and without their personalized place cards/wedding favors. The staff is photographed numerous times in important moments such as the father daughter dance and other moments where there was no need for staff to be present.

The icing on the cake definitely had to be the top tier of our wedding cake being sliced and served, rather than saved (per industry and traditional wedding standards). Dee Dee also blamed our hired event coordinator for this rather than accepting appropriate responsibility for this very clear misstep in industry standards.

The lodge rooms you are required to reserve for your wedding night are on the same level as a 3 star hotel, dare I say motel. The rooms are outdated, with no effort, a pathetic tv and be prepared for club members and staff to be outside your window for $236 a night. You’re better off staying in a camper in the woods.

All in all, I am thankful to my family and my husband but I wish I would’ve spent my $30,000 with the St. Regis rather than an establishment that clearly did not care about providing a stellar level of service. Save your heartache and money and go elsewhere. You get better service at TopGolf or Dave and Buster’s. They do not care to respond adequately and think a dinner for two is sufficient for the numerous issues and disrespectful actions that occurred during our wedding. Long story short, don’t waste your money here for subpar service.
