Great people and a gorgeous venue!

Like many other 2020 brides, my fiance and I had to change our wedding plans and decided to postpone to a date in 2021. Deb and Sarah could not have been more understanding and easy to work with in changing our date. They truly seem to care about their couples and are always available to answer questions when needed.

Best Venue for your wedding in Virginia Beach!

If you are looking for the best place to host your event in Virginia Beach, you found it! I am a professional DJ and I work several wedding events here every year and already have some lined up for next year. Before this year is over, I wanted to take the time and share with all review readers how grateful I am for the opportunity to be able to collaborate with such a great venue and the talented team that makes magic happen every time I am there. They communicate well with vendors, everything is always clean and looks amazing, and the layout options are awesome. I like how you have the option of upstairs or downstairs depending on the vibe you are looking for. It is always awesome to be able to have wedding ceremonies at the waterside. Amazing Day

Thank you so much Sarah and Deb at the Water Table for helping to make our wedding day amazing! We were married in October 2020, and the Water Table far exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the room and the views immediately, and we received so many compliments from our family and friends. Sarah and Deb made the planning process easy and the entire day was perfect and stress free! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to say I Do! Thank you so much!

Great Venue

We booked the whole building of The Watertable including the porch and lawn about a year in advance and it was great the whole time. After we booked we were in contact with them a little bit because we were far away from our date, but when the date got closer, Deb and Sarah were contacting us to make sure everything was set. Every question that we had, they had an answer to. Any requests were taken seriously and they were very organized. We have gotten so many compliments on The Watertable and how lovely it was. We are so happy with how everything turned out!

Perfect Wedding at The Water Table!

I called The Water Table as soon as we got engaged. My husband and I attended a wedding there a few months before our engagement. We knew this was the place we wanted to have our ceremony and reception. You can't beat the views or location. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the marina. Our guests commented on how beautiful the backdrop was during our ceremony - the water, boats and sunny skies! Our cocktail hour was on the porch and in the downstairs room. We love that our guests could enjoy the outside areas and really take in the views at the Inlet. Our reception was in the gorgeous room upstairs. The view from that upstairs area is beautiful! The big picture windows really gave our reception the feel of the water and marina we were looking for. The lights from the marina at night are just breathtaking. The room was perfect for us. We had about 175 people - so the big dance floor was definitely needed! The layout of the room was great and gave us plenty of room for dinner and dancing!
We talked with Deb and set everything up! We worked with Christine and Gina the day of our wedding. All 3 were great and understood our vision. I corresponded with Christine and she was so quick to get back with me and help with anything we needed. Christine and Gina were more than happy to help with anything on the wedding day - and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just as it should be.
So many people commented on how amazing our day was and how much they loved The Water Table, too. We would do it there all over again! We absolutely loved it!!

Beautiful Venue!

We had our wedding at the WaterTable on June 1, 2019 and we are so happy we did! I wanted a beachy wedding, but not for it to be on the beach. With the WaterTable being on a marina, it was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted. We rented the entire building with the ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the lawn and porch, dinner downstairs, and dancing and cake upstairs. The flow of the wedding went seamlessly through the venue and I would recommend this route to couples that do not want to be too crowded when they have a big guest list. Our contact at the venue actually changed a couple of times before the big day, but Deb was very accommodating and made sure that we got the attention we needed. Even though Christine came in at the end of the planning process, she was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond on the day-of to ensure that everything was how we wanted it to be. I highly recommend this venue to everyone!!

The Water Table was AMAZING!!!!

The Water Table was hands down everything I dreamed it could be as my venue on our wedding day!! Working with Karen was an amazing experience. She is professional, She knows exactly every detail even things you wouldn’t think of she’s got your back also in a very caring way she really knows what she is doing. That was HUGE for me because there is nothing worse then a wedding not starting on time or not keeping a nice flow of things and that is still being complimented from our guests about our time at The Water Table. Everything about The Water Table was PERFECT!!! The views, the professionalism and care from Karen and Debbie I just can’t say enough good about it. You should look no where else for your wedding venue!!

The Water Table is incredible and the venue owner Deb is even more incredible! Seriously. As a wedding coordinator, I have come across some owners that are insanely difficult to work and make everyone miserable. Thank God for Deb and the Water Table! They are super easy, pleasant, and helpful to work with. Deb was literally moving tables, decorating, and helping me with the wedding timeline! Great place.

LOVE....We had my daughter's wedding her on September 29, 2018, and the entire wedding was amazing. She was married on the lawn, followed by cocktail hour on the deck, and dinner and dancing on the top floor. The venue was beautiful and everything flowed so nicely from one part of the day to the next. So many of the guests took the time to tell us what a wonderful wedding it was and how beautiful the venue was. What was most amazing about all that is we did not spend much on decorations because the view was so decorative. Debbie, helped us through the entire process and was extremely helpful picking out colors and other details. She even took the time to meet us at the caterers (Chefs By Design - also fantastic), and help us with the final details. She was very sweet and was a joy to work with. If you are planing a wedding, you cannot go wrong with The Water Table and the magnificent views. My daughter and her husband capped the night off with boat ride pulling out from the marina at the end of the reception. Thank you Debbie at the Water Table for such an amazing evening. In my daughter's words, "it was like a fairy tale."

The Water Table is absolutely beautiful and Deb was great to work with. My husband and I had to plan our wedding from about 3.5 hours away and all of our guests were also out of town so technically it was a destination wedding. It was nice to feel like we could work together and make plans at a distance. I highly recommend reserving both the downstairs and the upstairs, it's worth it. We ended the night upstairs for the reception with the gorgeous windows overlooking the water and it was absolutely beautiful. Our guests loved it.

I adored the whole process of planning my wedding at the Water Table with Karen Feller. She treated us like family! The venue is beautiful and well-designed to entertain— I cannot wait to see our photos. I’m so glad we went with the Water Table, and even gladder we worked with Karen.

The Water Table is absolutely fantastic! My husband and I got married there on Saint Patrick’s Day and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. We rented the entire building; we had our ceremony on the downstairs porch, cocktail hour in the downstairs room and our reception upstairs. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue is. Every vendor we went to told us The Water Table was one of their favorite venues and we can see why! Karen was fantastic! She was there for me during numerous wedding freak out moments and calmed my nerves every time! She took care of everything and made our wedding day stress free. If you are considering using the water table for your event just do it! You won’t regret it I promise!

My husband and I had our wedding reception here about a month ago and it was awesome!!! The location was perfect- it was right on the inlet and away from the busy streets. I wanted a beach theme with views of the water all around and this was the spot for it. Also, the room was HUGE! We had the top floor where there were floor to ceiling windows, so there was a lot of natural light and beautiful views of the water. The cocktail hour was out on the lawn which was beautiful as well. The dance floor was large, the bathrooms were nice (including the dressing room), the bar was set in the perfect spot, etc, this place had it all!! Another plus was the parking lot especially since it was near the beach; it was big enough for all guests. There was no need to park on street or pay for parking.
We worked with Karen, who was great at coordinating with all the other vendors which made our wedding day PERFECT!!! She was very responsiveness, professional, and super excited about planning our big day with us. Pior to the wedding, we had a “logistics meeting” where she, my husband and I, and other vendors got together to go everything. I liked that very much, I didn’t have to stress about anything after that knowing they all had it under control. On the day of the wedding, she was there to make sure everything went smoothly and did a great job. We had about 150 guests come and all were comfortable and happy throughout the day. Our guests are STILL talking about how gorgeous it was!!
I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom. You’re able to choose your own theme, vendors, and basically make it all yours. Luckily all the vendors we chose have worked together before and allowed us to have the best day ever here. Everything that I had visualized for my wedding reception was a dream come true. The Water Table will always be a special place to us, I am so happy we stumbled across it. Thank you for everything, Karen and the rest of the Water Table team!!! :)

The Water Table was amazing to work with. Karen will make sure that your wedding goes off without a hitch, no matter what it takes. The venue is well kept and absolutely stunning. It is an amazing value and such convenient to have an indoor option all in one. We got married inside, downstairs, due to Hurricane Matthew, and it still turned out absolutely stunning! I was recommended to The Water Table by a friend who had had her wedding there. Karen responded quickly to my request for information and a tour and we easily nailed down a date from there for the upstairs space. My favorite elements of the venue include the waterfront/marina location, the beautiful vaulted ceilings, and the ability for the outdoors to come in through the panoramic windows and the incredible view. Because of the time of year, we opted for an indoor ceremony in front of the fireplace rather than rolling the dice with the weather. The space felt intimate and perfect for our needs. The weather cooperated for our big day which enabled us to have a gorgeous cocktail hour outside on the lawn overlooking the marina. My photographer easily found locations around the marina for our formal portraits.

We wanted to work with Sweetwater Cuisine, which is a preferred caterer of the venue, and the ability to bring in our own alcohol was a huge bonus. My guests continuously complimented the venue throughout the reception. Parking was ample and our wedding blocks were in nearby hotels, minimizing the travel time for our guests.

When we walked in to this venue we knew right away this was where we were going to celebrate our 'best day ever'. We worked with Karen and she was there every step of the way. When it came to the day of, she made sure everything went as it should and we could not of asked for a more perfect day. We rented the downstairs because we loved the covered deck. It was a beautiful setting and the perfect amount of space for our guests. We also used the lawn for the ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful. I was worried at first it being on a marina and there being background noise and boats passing but we did not experience any of that. I highly recommend The Water Table to anyone wanting a beach/water setting!

I looked at a bunch of venues and just couldn't find the one that felt "right," until I stepped into The Water Table. I wanted a venue that had both indoor and outdoor space, a simple but elegant ambiance, and wouldn't feel too big or too small for a guest list around 120 people. The Water Table is a gorgeous, waterfront venue with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide beautiful views of Rudee's inlet during the day and sparkling lights at night. We had our ceremony on the covered porch, which worked out GREAT because we had a light on-and-off drizzle on my wedding day but it was not an issue because it was fully covered and protected. I loved being able to be outdoors for the ceremony without worrying about a little bit of precipitation. I worked with Karen on the front end, as I viewed the venue and during my booking, and she is friendly, professional, understanding, and great at answering questions before you even realize you have a question about something. Their preferred vendors were easy to work with, and literally every vendor I met with (even the ones I didn't ultimately use), would say "Oh, we love working with The Water Table!" -- so it is easy to coordinate multiple vendors at this location. When the wedding got closer, we had a planning meeting with Deb and our caterer, and Deb was so helpful in walking through each detail. It was a little overwhelming making all of the decisions, and any time I needed some suggestions or feedback she was happy to provide a little guidance from her experience of all of the weddings they have had there. I found that very helpful. The Water Table is such a beautiful venue that it really needs very little "extra" decoration. We had simple and classic decorations on the tables (small floral centerpieces, votive candles) and that was perfect. Bonus, there is a gorgeous bridal suite for getting ready, and a separate room that can be used for groomsmen to get ready. I can't say enough positive about The Water Table!

I recently had my wedding here, and I have to say that I was absolutely blown away by the professionalism, ease of communication, and responsiveness, along with the simple but elegant beauty of the venue overall. Karen was an absolute angel the entire time throughout planning and execution on the day itself. I had to do all planning from Florida where my husband and I are currently stationed, and the relief I had was completely because of Karen. She helped me make sure I had everything that I needed, gave me advice, and was usually one step ahead on what needed to be done and had suggestions readily available. It is a breathtakingly GORGEOUS venue and is very adaptable regardless of what the weather ends up doing, or with your choice of theme and decor. The views of the marina added a wonderful backdrop, and made decorating easy. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride that is searching, and would greatly recommend working with Karen. She was quick to answer any questions and is so sweet and helpful. If I had to do it all again, I would keep it the same, and wouldn't dream of changing a thing. Their preferred vendors (I used Sweetwater Cuisine) work amazingly well with them, know the venue and what to do, which makes your wedding day an absolute breeze and leaves you to be able to just breathe and enjoy your day!

Karen was wonderful to work with, she took a huge amount of stress out of wedding planning. She quickly answered all of my questions, and offered suggestions! We had a perfect outdoor ceremony with cocktail hour on the lawn afterwards. The Water table has a great dance floor, reception space, and different options for the ceremony. The venue itself is so beautiful, but it offers lots of spaces and areas to decorate. I would highly recommend the Water Table for anyone looking for a venue!

Everything about this place was perfect - Karen was amazing and truly helpful. I would recommend to anyone who wants to customize their wedding with their own personal touches rather than selecting a package at other venues. They were affordable, responsive, and helped us have an amazing night.

The Water Table was the perfect place for our wedding. We had the pleasure of having the first wedding reception on the first floor. Our 188 person guest list were seated very comfortably. The bridal suite was beautiful and very advantageous. And the view is simply breath-taking. Thank you to Deb & Karen for making this whole experience very amazing.

Everything about The Water Table was amazing! We lucked out having beautiful September weather and were able to enjoy it during the cocktail hour on the outdoor lawn overlooking the Rudee Inlet marina. Everything from the view, the gazebo bar, passed hors d'oueurves (made by Chef by Design!), steel drum, and perfect backdrop for photos made the cocktail hour so fun! And then, when we walked inside and upstairs to the reception, we were totally blown away - it truly was magical!!! Karen, the on-site event coordinator, did a spectacular job of making sure every detail was taken care of. We had met with her a few weeks before the wedding, along with the caterer (Chef By Design) and our "day of" coordinator, and Karen was so professional and gave us some great final decorating ideas - showing us sample pictures and ensuring us that she would be there the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up just right! And it was!!! Between her, the caterer (who I also can't say enough about!), and our "Day Of" coordinator, they nailed it!!! My daughter and son-in-law loved everything about it and our guests continue to rave about it! We had about 125 guests and there was plenty of room, but it also was a very intimate setting, which we loved!!! Highly recommend this venue! You can even have your wedding there and they'll flip the room for you if you'd like. That was our rain back-up plan as we had an outdoor service at a park, but as it turns out, the weather was beautiful. We did feel this would have still worked out well though. And we loved the fact that we could provide our own alcohol and setups - saved a lot of money this way! Just needed to get an on-site ABC license which was inexpensive and easy, and our caterer provided the bartenders. Such a great evening!!!

Deb Davis and her associate, Karen were very professional and friendly. They immediately addressed any concerns I had before the wedding date and followed-up with me (mother of the bride) several times before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Karen made sure that all details were in place as the bride requested. I loved The Water Table! Everything about it was stunning. The moment I walked into the room I knew this was the place for our wedding. The details from the dock to the dance floor were so classy and effortless. Deb, the owner, is fantastic and has excellent taste. She was so easy to get a hold of! She has a great heart and a true passion to help her brides get the most out of their big day with as little stress as possible. As a bride, I was impressed with the personal care and attention she invested in myself and my groom. The legalistic meeting that they require you to have (with the venue, caterer, and you/ the bride) was so helpful. They helped put all the pieces together for me and took away all of my worry. Deb offered her advice and expertise to help me get the best use of our space and our vendors.... and did so with my budget in mind. I could go on and on about how fantastic this venue is and how I received so many compliments on the venue and the space, but I want you to know that the best part of this venue (besides the view) are the people that come with it. One of the last things I saw walking out of the venue on our wedding night was Deb standing by our friends giving us a grand farewell. She wanted to see that we were taken care of all they way up until we got in the limo. She and her staff truly took great care of my husband and I.

In addition to being the MOG, I acted as their wedding planner. From the prospective of a member of the wedding party as well as that of a professional planner, The Water Table provided a cost effective venue with amazing views. We were able to comfortably accommodate over 150 people in the space for both the wedding ceremony and the reception. The amazing fireplace and waterfront lawn provided plenty of beautiful space to eat, drink, and dance. Everyone that attended raved about the venue. Deb Davis, the owner, has personally designed this space to be elegant yet be transformed to reflect the vinatge nautical theme that the bride and groom wanted.

In addition to offering fabulous views and lots of space for our event, The Water Table gave us tremendous amount of control for the bride & groom. The ability to seek out the best vendors without being tied to a few and the ability to bring your own alcohol are only two of the many advantages we enjoyed. The Water Table prides itself on offering quality vendors that have been time tested for the results they produce without the conflict specific affiliation with the venue.

If you are a bride that likes the advantage of control but doesn't have the time to manage all of the details, use the Water Table and simply insert another set of hands into the process with a comprehensive planner or simply a day-of coordinator. Either will provide peace of mind that your special day will turn out exactly how you envisioned it right down to every little detail. Many times these professionals can actually help save money by simply helping brides secure what they needs at prices well below what "going retail" can offer.

My son and his new wife sped away into the night on a beautiful boat at the end of their dream nautical wedding. They could not have been happier and more pleased with everything about The Water Table. Whether your dream day is nautical or not, at this venue will be perfect for your theme.

The Water Table was such a stunning location for my wedding reception. Upon first stepping foot inside, I knew it was where I wanted to dance the night away on my wedding day. It has beautiful, open windows with a great view of the Inlet. My guests raved about how gorgeous everything looked. I couldn't have imagined a better place to have my reception. Deb was such a joy to work with as well. She sat with us several times to help us get the details just perfect. She made everything less stressful by being timely and responsive. I'd recommend this venue for a wedding or an event to anyone and everyone!

We used the Water Table for my daughter's wedding a few weeks ago. Deb was helpful and responsive from day one and the venue was perfectly laid out for a great party. The fireplace and marina view were perfect touches and we loved that we could rent chairs that went along with our style. We would definitely recommend this venue!!

My wedding at the Water table in Virginia Beach was wonderful thanks to primo events. I looked at so many venues and these folks helped me find my dream wedding site. I chose this venue because it has so much character and my family and friends loved it as well! Deborah the owner of this venue was a delight to work with as she handled all of our needs and ensured we were all comfortable with the wedding details. She made us feel so special.
Primo provided all the vendors and organized everything for us so we just showed up. It was a truly amazing day!
If I could do my wedding all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks to Primo and Deborah at the water table we truly had the best wedding ever.

The Water Table was THE only venue in Virginia Beach that I was considering and I'm so glad it worked out! It books up very fast (booked in February 2012 for an April 2013 wedding and still got my 2nd choice on date). The space is beautiful and the outdoor cocktail area is great, weather permitting. Our guests loved the view of the water and boats and it is a really neutral and clean space to bring in your own decor elements. I would definitely recommend this venue and it is a perfect price point too.

This is the perfect venue! It has a little bit of everything and an amazing view of Rudee Inlet. Deb and her staff were so great to work with and were super flexible and worked with our requests. I loved getting married in front of the gorgeous fireplace in a very intimate ceremony, yet we changed things up for cocktail hour by having outside on the dock. Our guests just loved the flow and feel of the space. It's the best location if you want to give your guests a taste of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. It's also a great backdrop for photos too. I was over the moon with everything!!!

We wanted a venue at the oceanfront that was covered in case of rain or humidity. The Water Table was the BEST venue, Karen and Chelsea were great, they made sure everything ran smoothly and worked closely with catering to ensure everyone was on the same page. They moved the cocktail hour under the back porch/deck because of the chance of rain instead of keeping it on the lawn. Overall the watertable is a beatuiful venue inside and outside, and they are complete professionals to work with!

I truly had my fairytale wedding at the Water table in Virginia Beach. Deb the owner was so nice and very accommodating. I could not have been more pleased with Ron at Primo Events who handled our wedding day. My husband and I looked at so many venues and when Ron showed us the Water table we knew this was the perfect location. Since we are both military it was very hard and these folks made our wedding stress free. Our fabulous Photographer was Shawn Femia who did wonderful job with our wedding photos. DJ Chuck had everyone on the dancefloor and the caterer's food was delicious. I would highly recommend this company! AMAZING!

We used the Water Table for our ceremony and reception in May 2014. The major "pros" that I want brides to consider are these: 1) The Water Table is one of the few venues that allows you to have the space for the whole day. Many places will allow you 5-6 hours and will rush you out of there. We had our vendors show up around 8am and we had the space until midnight. There was no one rushing us out and not another wedding booked on the same day. 2) Deb and Karen are very easy to work with. They were flexible and accommodating. They worked well with our vendors. 3). The view speaks for itself! 4). The dance floor was redone right before our wedding and looked really lovely. It's a a more white-washed/distressed finish rather than a blonde wood. 5). The flexibility of the indoor and outdoor space.

Some down-sides to consider, but they may not bother you. 1) The space has very limited landscaping. From the outside, it looks pretty unimpressive. The yard space is also not well landscaped, although they made sure the grass was mowed and weeds were picked before our wedding day. I had hoped for some minimal landscaping/potted plants/flowers, but nothing of the sort. 2). There is no elevator. Older/disabled guests will need to be carried upstairs. This is something we did not realize after we signed the contract and we had a wheel-chair bound guest who was carried upstairs. Definitely inconvenient, but our fault for not checking for an elevator. 3). The price is fair in some ways, since you get the venue for the whole day. However, I want brides to understand that the venue comes almost bare. You will have access to around 10 round tables but all other items will need to be brought in. Just something to consider as you are working out your budget.

Overall, we are VERY pleased with our experience at the Water Table. We would highly recommend the venue to any couple.

The Water Table is AMAZING and Deb was a delight to work with but does take her time to get back to you. lol. I had to plan my daughter's destination wedding 6/10/13 and was mostly trying to plan on my own but needed help especially since I didn't have a ceremony and reception site yet. I found this awesome company, Primo events and they assisted in finding me the ideal venue for a beach style wedding. I was working with Ron Form and he offered a wedding package that pretty much included services such as catering, photography, dj, florist, and the linen people, Ron always answered my emails quickly and was helpful with suggestions. I remember one email I was having a motherly bridal moment and freaking out and he said "breath it will work out, it always does" he was right! My daughter's wedding day was beyond amazing and I couldn't do it without all these wonderful people. The photography by shawn femia was breathtaking and very creative. I am so happy that she allowed us to keep all of the wedding photos. All the things that I was worried about even up to the final day there were no issues. The food by Chef Elsa was delicious and my family is still talking about the summer salsa chicken dish. I would highly recommend Primo Events as they make a wedding so much easier. Thank you for making our day so beautiful and special :-)

The minute I walked into the Water Table I knew without a doubt it was the place I would be married. It is a beautiful venue and even with a max amount of people (which I had) it was perfect. The owner can sometimes be hard to get a hold of but once your wedding is near she is on it. She met with us and the caterer and my planner and I knew they had everything under control. She was accommodating the day of, letting people come set up early etc. I am so happy with my decision and I hope I have the opportunity to have another event there one day!

The Water Table is absolutely gorgeous. You really just rent the room and then bring in everything else to suit your tastes. It was a little more work than the all-in-one packages of other venues, but it was the best in terms of flexibility. We received so many compliments on the room and the location by the water, and we loved being able to pick our own caterer and do what we wanted with the place. Deb was very helpful with suggesting vendors, and we'd definitely recommend this venue to a friend.

I booked The Water Table for my reception and couldn't have been happier. It was absolutely beautiful with the fireplace going and all of the windows overlooking the water. There was plenty of room for all of the guests, a great dance floor, and a lounge area in front of the fireplace.

To start, everything was perfect on the wedding day. Everything! Karen from the venue helped out my family and day-of coordinator from early morning to late at night to ensure that all décor and other details were exactly as I specified. We booked the venue just about 8 months prior to the big day. The owner, Deb, was accommodating to my work schedule for all meetings that were done in that timespan and she was also accommodating to our unique requests. Except for a handful of times, she was easy to get in touch with during that time frame, as well. There were some times where I felt as if she had forgotten recently-discussed details that I found to be very important which can be frustrating for an already anxious bride like myself but everything worked out and that is what matters most. I am also not sure how things would have been if I had not completely stayed on top of everything myself and created things such as my own floor plans. You are not offered many planning tools. However, for someone who considers themselves to be an independent worker like myself, that also ended up working out. Overall, the room is beautiful, the view is breathtaking, the price is right, and both Deb and Karen come to your aid during the week of the wedding. Thank you for everything!

The view is gorgeous and overlooks Rudee Inlet - which was the reason why we chose this venue. The location is brand new and the space is very versatile. The coordinator, Deb is nice and friendly, but not very organized. I would leave messages and sometimes wouldn't get a call back 3-4 days later. The excuse always was she had been working with other brides - but two weeks before my wedding I expect a prompt response. Still - the room was gorgeous and the dance floor was nice and big - perfect for our reception.

Beautiful Venue on Water with Flexible Layout

Hosted my Wedding Reception at Water Table for 120 People - did the full building buyout ($6500). Venue is gorgeous on the water. Debated just doing one floor ($4000), but you run the risk of another event there that day.

Layout:
- You can either do 1st floor with porch + lawn or 2nd floor. We did Cocktail Hour / Dinner downstairs then dancing upstairs. For downstairs - 120-140 would be a solid amount for sit-down dinner. I don't think I would add more. The ceilings are higher upstairs so opted for the party to be there rather than flip the room. If you were to do dinner upstairs, you could host more people. You will need to get a Day of Wedding Coordinator (seems to be standard for a lot of venues). They have tables / chairs - but confirm the amount depending on your guests.

BYOB:
- The venue allows you to bring in your own alcohol / mixers. Since there was an event the night before, we dropped off the alcohol / decor morning of the Saturday Event. We also had to pack up after the event too since there is a Sunday Church Service at Water Table. You will need to get day-of ABC licenses and event insurance.

Venue Manager:
- We worked with Meredith throughout the process. Recommend getting her number since she is more responsive over text.
Other Items:
- They have a preferred caterer list, but you can work with Meredith if you have someone you want.

Overall:
- Super pleased with the venue since we wanted a waterfront vibe. Due to the 2-story option - you can play with the structure / flow.

Generally speaking, this was a great place for our reception. It is beautiful, reasonably priced, and does provide great flexibility. I did most of the work on my own (flowers, cakes, design, providing decor, linens, dishes, etc). Deb was consistently helpful through the process of negotiating times, etc. There were a few minor issues (delayed email responses, for example). I had to be fairly strong-minded in terms of what I wanted for our wedding, but Deb eventually listened and was able to help us achieve our vision for that day. Would recommend it; there aren't many waterfront venues with this kind of flexibility in the area...a great blank backdrop for creating your own unique event.

The Water Table was a beautiful place for my wedding ceremony and reception. I had always dreamed of a wedding on the water and when it became apparent that a wedding on the oceanfront was not going to be possible because of the date (Neptune Fest Weekend) The Water Table was the next best thing. The veiw was amazing and the backdrop of Marina will ensure that my pics will be gorgeous! My only complaint is that because there was an event the day before, we were not able to access the space the day before for a rehearsal.

This venue is BEAUTIFUL! Very well put together and takes your breath away. It was a bit pricey and you really get nothing but an empty room with empty tables for your money. The owner was pleasant in the beginning but kept pushing me to hire her people she recommends even though she knew they were way out of my budget. She was flexible and helpful in more cases. My wedding was perfect and I love the look of the venue but the value and quality of customer service is lacking. Thank goodness I had an amazing caterer!

The venue is absolutely beautiful. However, dealing with the owner can be very challenging. We paid to rent this facility for the day and were told we would have it from 9:00 until midnight. Our vendors were set with times for set up and prep which we discussed in every meeting. The owner decided to have appointments to show the facility the day of our event. Our vendors had to work around various people coming in and out of the facility during the set up times. This I felt was extremely unprofessional and made it difficult for our vendors to do their jobs. When we arrived at the venue the morning of the event, the entire bottom sections of glass windows were broken out and plywood was being placed over the holes. In talking to the owner I was told this happened earlier in the week and she could not get anyone to come and replace the windows before our event. I would have at least liked a call to let me know this so it I wasn't shocked when I pulled in the parking lot to see the place boarded up like we were having a hurricane. From the beginning we were assured that someone from the venue would be on the premises during our event to handle any problems or issues that came up. Once the guests arrived the venue became very hot. One of the most important things I stressed to the owner during all of our meetings was the temps in the room. I wanted it cold and no heat. When we tried to find the owner to adjust the thermostat, she was no where on the premises. There was a lock box on the thermostat so we could not adjust it ourselves. Our vendors were trying to reach her and she did not repsond by phone or text. It became so hot, that my mother passed out and we had to call the rescue squad for her. Still no appearance by the owner. She finally did come and adjust the thermostat and the venue cooled off. Never saw her again during the evening. The bottom line is the venue is stunning and everything worked out, but dealing with the owner is difficult.

If you are looking for a beautiful view of Rudee this is the place to go. Parking is a nightmare, there is not enough spaces for guests when both rooms are booked. They say they have valet parking they don't. We were at a wedding upstairs while the downstairs room was also in use. While our guests lined the sidewalk waiting for the bride and groom to make their grand exit, out came the guests from the other downstairs party. They tell couples they don't need a wedding co- ordinator because they have one-they don't. The 2 women who run the venue are not wedding professionals. I heard from several guests how rudely they were spoken to. It took the bride 3 calls to get an initial call back, that should have been a clue right then this was not a place to hold a wedding. The features of having a choice for caterers and bringing your own alcohol was appealing , I would never ever recommend this venue. I think it could be a great place if some changes were made and that is starting with a new staff who are event professionals. Being rude has no place in any business. Two very well known wedding business owners/wedding professionals won't do business at this venue. Wish we knew this a year ago.

The WORST venue in Virginia Beach. I truly hope that no other couple EVER goes to this venue. While the venue itself is truly a beautiful venue, nothing could make up for how terribly my husband and I were treated. Deb, the person who runs the venue, was so nice at first when all we needed to do was pay her and reserve the venue. After that, she was absolutely no help. It always took forever for her to get back with us, unless it was about money of course, but for anything else she would always be on "vacation." Our wedding was planned for June 11, 2011 originally, but unfortunately, the bride's father unexpectedly became very sick and was hospitalized from April until June when he eventually passed away. We obviously had to postpone the wedding but before we did so, Deb had no problem calling and asking if we had decided to postpone because others were apparently interested in that date. After going through everything and finally choosing a new wedding date, that was unavailable at The Water Table, we asked if, considering our unusual circumstances, we could have any of our money back (we had paid in full so it was $2,500) and she said no. After multiple attempts of trying to reason with her, we made one last attempt to try and meet with her and get anything back. She laughed in our faces and told us it was ridiculous we would have wasted her time meeting with her about it. Her words to my mother-in-law were "If I gave everyone who told me this sort of story their money back I would be out of business." We proved to her it wasn't a "story" with a certified death certificate and to even remotely suggest that someone would lie about such a thing is absolutely disgusting. It is so unfortunate that anyone in the wedding business would be so greedy and unable to see past a tragic circumstance and offer any sort of grace. I truly hope no bride makes the same mistake we did. We understand we had a contract, but we still truly believe that there are circumstances where exceptions can and should be made. DO NOT go to The Water Table! Do not be fooled by her kindness up front - in the end, all she cares about is your money.
