We booked Rusty before any other vendors for a reason… he is absolutely THE BEST there is!

It’s hard to put into words just how special it is to work with Waldron on your wedding day. Waldron was our very first vendor pick for a reason… they are by far the best of the best. We booked Rusty before we had a venue, guest count, or really any wedding vision at all. We just knew whatever we landed on, we needed someone who could skillfully document every beautiful moment of our long awaited wedding day. And Waldron did just that AND some.

Rusty has a way of making you both feel natural and effortless in every picture all day long. He truly is a “fly on the wall” and captures raw moments in such an artistic and flattering way. He absolutely blew us out of the water with his creative intuition, professionalism, talent and dedication to providing us with an individualized experience and beautifully REAL pictures. The best decision of my wedding!

Look no further if you are wanting timeless, candid and stunning photos! Rusty captured my husbands and I's big day so perfectly. He is a joy to work with, made us and all our guest feel so comfortable and it really shined through in EVERY photo. I had a very high standard of what I was looking for and he exceeded all of them. If you are looking for all the small and big moments to be captured with a detailed eye, look no further. 15/10 recommend Rusty and wish I could get married all over again to get some more photos!

One of THE best decisions we made for our wedding

Having Rusty take our wedding photographs was one of THE best decisions we made for our wedding day/weekend! Rusty did a great job of making us feel beautiful while also capturing what feels like authentic snapshots of "us" as a couple. Instead of feeling like I was posing for pictures, I felt like I was just living (and loving) our day with Rusty in the background capturing it. The emotion and joy he managed to capture is incredible, and he also helped us do a streamlined approach to "formal" pictures so that we could spend more time with our guests (one of our priorities!). Rusty was so organized on the front end that the day itself went seamlessly, and he managed to bring an extra level of calm to the weekend (and, frankly, to the whole process!). The photos are absolutely incredible (although I recognize I'm biased...), and I know we'll cherish them for decades. You absolutely will not regret having Rusty and his team capture your weekend.

Nothing but the Best

My wife and I had our wedding at the end of May 2021, and we had the extreme good fortune of working with Rusty of Waldron Photography to capture our event. Our package with Rusty included an engagement photoshoot as well 8 hours on the wedding day. We included an add-on for the Blanc Booth; a high-quality professional photo-booth during the reception which offers black and white portraits for the entire evening. To put it plainly, I was absolutely blown away by the level of service, skill, and professionalism that Rusty puts into his work. The photos are phenomenal, the communication was excellent, Rusty’s style and vision for our day was exactly what we wanted, and the entire time we were together I felt comfortable and at ease. By the end of the night, I felt like we were all best friends. I know that my wife and I were having a great time and I felt like Rusty had a lot of fun with us as well. Two days after the wedding Rusty had already sent us our Blank Booth portraits and a sneak peak at the pictures from the day, totaling 230 pictures. A little over a month after the wedding we had the entire collection and all of Rust’s photos. All in total, including engagement photos, the photo booth, and the rest of the wedding pictures we have over 1,000 beautiful photos of the absolute highest quality from who I believe to be the most exceptional photographer. I am eternally grateful for the experience we had with Waldron Photography and would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of photography services.

Simply the BEST!

Where, oh where to begin? Rusty is just the best. Before you live your wedding day... you don't really know the full extent to just how much of an impact the vendors (who you will spend ALL day with) will have on EVERYONE's experience. They're in your family, they're in your wedding party, they're present for each moment big and small in your day. They've seen you grow from early planning and engagement photos to where you are when you get married. They see the journey. The laid-back energy, kindness, talent, and fun Rusty brought to our wedding was so incredibly special to Henry and I. Not only did Rusty deliver some incredible engagement and wedding photos, he made our personal experiences with getting married so much better than if he wasn't a part of it. Rusty knew just how important a good plan and good back up plan and back up to the back up plan was to me, and he excitedly would go over every detail with Henry and I however many times I wanted before the actual day... so when Rusty arrived to the bridesmaid suite I knew I could cruise into autopilot- he would take it from there. I could just be the bride and someone else would make sure it all happened. The photos he took for us will be some of our most prized possessions in our lifetime. He documented how we interact, how our family's love each other, how important our friends are, etc. and is able to communicate so much through his images. We say it all the time, but Rusty was the best decision we made for the wedding and we honestly didn't fully know that until we saw him that day. We knew he was good, trust me there... but we didn't realize until the day happened just how impactful it can be to have him in your corner on one of the biggest days of your life. Like everyone else says... you will not and could never be disappointed with Rusty. He has always exceeded any expectations and we are so, so thankful to him!

Book Waldron yesterday

Wow, where can I even begin? Aside from our venue, picking our photographer was one of the most important aspects of our day that I wanted to get right. I spent hours researching photographers, created a crazy spreadsheet that had me feeling like a bridezilla, and realized Waldron was the only choice for us. During our engagement photos we were so concerned they would look awkward because we are both uncomfortable in front of the camera. Rusty put us at ease immediately and had several tricks to help us look natural.

On our day Rusty and Addison were so professional and brought the perfect balance of directing/observing. They knew when to step in to pose everyone and when to step back to allow us to be present in the moment the whole day and evening. After our day Rusty got our pictures to us so quickly and we were blown away at how perfectly our day was captured. Looking at our photos brings us back to the feelings of that day and will allow us to relive it forever. To us this is priceless and we cannot recommend Waldron enough. Our only photo-related problem throughout the entire process is now selecting which photos are our favorites because they are all so fantastic :)

Amazing!!!

Rusty was so incredible to work with for our wedding! After the first meeting with Rusty, both my husband and I felt so comfortable with him and his style that we didn't even bother meeting with other photographers. Our engagement pictures were incredible and he was amazing at capturing the best, unstaged moments from our wedding. He is so easy to work with, so kind, and warm...you will not be disappointed! Our wedding photos are magic!!!

Working with Rusty was a dream. He's everything you'd want in a wedding photographer. Not only do we have the most incredible photos, but he made the entire process easy and fun and totally carefree. I highly recommend Waldron photography. Rusty was the best. He has the ability to keep the environment relaxed but also gives enough direction so everyone feels confident. He doesn’t shoot the exact same way for every wedding, but rather customizes with your interest in mind. The 2nd photographer, Dustin, was super nice as well. They never seemed to be in the way, but somehow caught all the moments from afar! They truly captured the mood of the night. Also Waldron is extremely professional; all the little touches from payment system to the final package, made for a great overall experience.

Simply the best photography company you could choose for your wedding day! We originally met with Rusty and knew right away this was the right choice! Rusty is so laid back and chill. He wants to get to know you guys as a couple and truly cares how you are doing throughout the whole process. Rusty always told us to reach out if he can help us with anything, photography related or anything. We requested two photographers and Rusty brought Dustin with him on the wedding day. Both of them did an amazing job and captured the day and we couldn't ask for better pictures! There were a few photographs that I specifically requested and throughout the busy day, he still managed to remember every little detail!

From the beginning before any contract had been signed , Rusty was professional , kind and accommodating. Planning a wedding from out of town comes with stresses- but knowing that our photographer was on board and offering to help in any way , making recommendations, presenting us with timelines - put us at ease. When our ceremony got pushed back due to unexpected circumstances, Rusty was still able to get all the shots we requested with family and our wedding party before the reception started. We have amazing pictures of our ceremony , the dance floor , and special moments between my husband and I just to name a few , that we will cherish forever. Rusty is has a phenomenal ability to capture the candid and emotional moments as well as beautifully and artistically capture the classic wedding photos you desire. Not only does he take amazing photographs but he is a pleasure to work with and listens to everything you want and then delivers it through breathtaking photos. His ability to capture just what I wanted was right on point! Picking him as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again! His partner which was hired as our 2nd photographer was just as amazing too. People were just awestruck by our wedding photos and we received SO many compliments! They are everything I wanted and more!

I wholeheartedly recommend Rusty as a wedding photographer. When researching all of the options, I spent days on a countless photographers' websites, and Rusty's photos immediately caught my eye. They truly tell a story and many even brought me to tears. I figured tearing up looking at complete strangers' photos must be a good sign! At the end of it all ,I am so thrilled we chose Rusty to photograph our Brooklyn wedding. From beginning to end he was extremely professional, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. Our photos turned out phenomenal, and I've had a least five people come ask me who my photographer was because they want to book him now. Photography was the most important item on our checklist when planning our wedding. If we were going to splurge it was going to be in this area. Photos last a lifetime!! When my husband and I found Waldron and looked through his portfolio we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. From there, we found out that he not only had amazing photos, but he was affordable and super personable. He captured all our favorite moments and made sure we had a blast along the way (no awkward poses, natural laughs, all you could ask for). I can't overstate how pleased we were to have Rusty photograph our wedding. We worked with Stephen and he has an exceptional artistic talent blended with the most sincere personality. The entire process was fun and painless. We hired Rusty to photograph our wedding and to capture our engagement photos, and looking back we could not be more thrilled with that decision. Rusty captured every moment of the day more eloquently and with more imagination and creativity than we could have ever imagined. He paid every attention to the tiny details of our wedding day, and even acted as a pseudo "day of" wedding planner for a couple that admittedly needed it. He was more than flexible to accommodate any of our wishes and did so with a smile on his face. Our wedding party and family members gushed about his personality and thoughtfulness.

We met with Rusty on multiple occasions before the wedding and each time Rusty impressed us greatly with his preparation, attention to detail, flexibility and thoughtfulness. He was truly a pleasure to work with. He offered himself not only as a photographer, but as a consultant, planner and truly as a friend as well. As every future wife and husband knows, there is often times great stress involved with planning a wedding. Every time we met with Rusty we left feeling more confident than we were when we arrived.

We've received raved reviews about Rusty's work from friends and family. We truly believe that every moment of our special day was captured in the form of a unique photograph, and he offered every single one of them to us in the form of an electronic thumb drive...they are truly OUR photos.

Rusty is a fantastic photographer and a wonderful person and we are so glad we choose him to be our wedding photographer. Throughout the pre-wedding planning he took care to learn about us as people, understand the types of pictures we wanted to capture, and quickly respond to any concerns or questions we had. When our big day finally came he helped coordinate all the pictures we requested and adapted to weather challenges with ease and reassurance! Working with Rusty was hands down the best decision we made during wedding planning. His skill far surpasses any photographer I researched in the KC area, and it comes at such an incredible value. We had a fairly modest budget for our wedding, and Rusty was so willing to work with us to craft a package that was perfectly tailored to our needs at a totally reasonable price. He made us and our families feel so relaxed and comfortable on the big day and even took the time to do the little things like learn the names of all our family members (just through a list we gave him at our consultation and careful observation the day of the wedding - making group portrait people arranging much more personal and a breeze), and setting the itinerary for the wedding - ensuring everything ran smoothly and on-time. Rusty is incredibly professional, wildly talented, hyper-organized, overwhelmingly helpful, genuinely kind, and overall just a pleasure to work with - and we’re so glad we did.

Rusty is amazing. My husband and I joke that we wish he could have come on our honeymoon too, because the way he captures moments is breathtaking. He brings out the true candor in people, and does it effortlessly. We are forever grateful to have had him as our wedding photographer, and will tell anyone and everyone who is willing to listen that he is the best. There are not enough nice things to say about Rusty and the Waldron Photograph Co! Choosing our photographer for our wedding felt like such a big decision for us, especially because we are both very camera shy. After meeting with Rusty, we knew we had made the right choice! Our engagement photos and wedding photos were perfect - both my husband and I agreed Rusty must have some voodoo photography magic that makes every one look great in photos. Rusty captured all of the best candid moments of the day and made all the formal family and bridal party photos with family go smoothly and quickly - a huge plus for everyone involved, as it was sticky and hot and sweaty for our outdoor July wedding. He is a perfect blend of professionalism and artistic, getting all of the photos he knew we wanted, and some we didn't know we wanted that turned out to be our favorites! The turnaround on our photos was incredible. Honestly, the worst part of it all was trying to decide which ones to get printed (our solution - print all of them!). The cherry on top of the cake is that Rusty is one of the nicest people we've met - he works to make you comfortable and relaxed about the entire process from the moment you meet him. We can't recommend Rusty enough!

The belated timing of this review is in no way reflective of our excitement and gratitude we feel for Rusty and the incredible photographs he took for our wedding.

We could truly not be happier with the turnout of the photos. They portray our wedding day in the most perfect possible way. The photos are absolutely incredible and they will be cherished by both of us for a lifetime.

Throughout the process, starting about a year before our wedding, Rusty was more than accommodating with any and all concerns or requests that we ever had. Rusty also took incredible photos for us to announce our engagement. Not that we ever had any doubts, but upon receiving the proofs for those engagement photos, we knew that Rusty was the only one for the job and that he was more than up to the task.

We would highly recommend Rusty to any and all who may be in the market for a wedding photographer, portrait maker, etc. He will surpass even the loftiest expectations.

Rusty was one of the best parts of our wedding weekend! Always a pleasure to interact with, he was creative, professional, and most importantly, captured so many beautiful moments from our wedding that we'll treasure forever. Our families are thrilled with the photos too. Rusty had several great tricks to making photos look natural and spontaneous and provided perfectly useful direction for the portraits when needed. He also did an excellent job designing books to give to our parents as gifts. I'd give him 6/5 stars if I could and would highly HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in the KC area looking for a photographer.

My husband and I are so blessed to have found rusty for not only our engagment photos but our wedding photos too. Rusty was fantastic, not only in quality of work but also as a genuine soul for one of the most important days of our lives. We loved Rusty's energy and positivity- My husband is not the photogenic type and is not a fan of getting his picture taken. He was able to feel relaxed and himself on our wedding day. Rusty just blended in with him as if one of the guys while remaining professional. THIS WAS HUGE~! I have some of the best -most genuine pictures of my husband that I don't think I would ever have if he wasn't comfortable with rusty around. I recommend rusty to everyone I know needing a photographer. I am a huge fan of his work and will continue to use his services for more pivotal life experiences.

Rusty, the owner of Waldron Photography, was by far the best choice we made during our wedding planning. Rusty is friendly, listens, is attentive to detail, and last but not least incredibly talented. From our engagement portraits to our wedding photos my husband and I were both given countless complements on how beautiful the photography was in each of our pictures. Rusty was beyond helpful with every detail and listened to what we wanted as a couple. He went above and beyond anything I could have imagined for my wedding pictures, and I am grateful to have those moments captured. Rusty, the owner of Waldron Photography Co., was a dream come true to work with! He showed up early, he stayed late, he listed to our requests/suggestions and answered all of our questions promptly and completely....not to mention he took AMAZING photos! He was able to capture some of the best moments of my life and for that, I am forever thankful. The day following the wedding, he shared a few teaser photos and promised the rest within 1 month. Rusty went above and beyond as a photographer. He was not only committed to capturing the day for us but also to ensure the day went smoothly. Even before we hired him, he was giving us vendor recommendations of people he had worked with previously. He sat down with us a few times before the wedding to ensure we got what we wanted out of the pictures. On the day of the wedding he asked if he could help with anything, he even carried my flowers for me when we were hiking to go take pictures. We could tell he truly cared about us as a couple and the pictures were out of this world.

Chances are, your wedding pictures will out live you. So why take only the traditional pictures without ever capturing moments, little things, and details that will immediately take someone back to that moment in time? That's the Waldron specialty! Rusty and his wife Lizzie are in creditable in telling a story through pictures. My wife and I searched and interview photographers from California to NYC and couldn't find anyone's work that we felt in love with like Rusty, so we flew them 3000 miles to our wedding!
His humble personality and his ability to be a "fly on the wall" helped him take some amazing pictures! Many of our guests later commented as to how friendly and precise they were.
And of course... there were some of the timeless traditional shots as well.
We LOVED our experience and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Seriously! Call them up, visit their studio, check out their site, and I bet that you'll love them too.

There's not anything bad that I can say about my good friend, Rusty. He is wonderful. After talking to several photographers, we couldn't NOT go with him. His pictures are so great and he strives to make a personal connection with each bride and groom he works with. We loved having him around and we are so fortunate to now be great friends! Waldron was nothing short of perfect.

Creative, professional and easy to work with, Rusty was spectacular to work with.

My fiance and I felt comfortable the entire time through our engagement pictures and wedding photos.

We were picky on some of our "wants" for our engagement photos and Rusty never batted an eye and made sure to give us what we wanted. Not only that, but he over-delivered, making them even better than we could've imagined.

I would highly recommend Waldron for all of your wedding needs. You'll be glad you hired him.

Rusty bent over backwards to photograph all our wedding events. For the one event he couldn't attend, he sent his skilled and gifted assistant and she did a beautiful job as well. Rusty felt like a member of the family. He met with me several times in person and over email (does that count as meeting?) due to my long distance planning (I live in Brooklyn, NY, but the wedding was in Lawrence, KS!).

My now spouse and I are not photo people. We shy from the camera and were reluctant to hire a traditional portrait-style photographer. Instead, we got Rusty! Rusty put us at ease, taking a ton of candids and coming up with creative ideas for portraits. He made sure we got all the photos we asked for (several family-style portraits for unable-to-attend relatives) and more.

Rusty pays attention to detail and somehow manages to capture the big picture at the same time. We received our photos back promptly and was able to construct a gorgeous album that told the entire story of our wedding.

I cannot recommend Rusty enough for his care, effort, and incredible photographer's eye.

Rusty was incredibly organized, professional, quick to communicate and exceeded our expectations for quality and lovely photographs. We had special requests and he was happy to take in every detail we wanted. Absolutely a wonderful photographer and will be singing his praises for years to come every time we look through our photos!

Rusty was just wonderful. He was incredibly helpful pre-wedding in the planning of the day and helped us choose what we wanted to focus on. He was available and flexible before the wedding as well as the day of. He was able to get us through pictures easily and hassle free but with a fabulous product. His easy going attitude was a wonderful thing to have and we loved working with him.

Having Rusty do our wedding photography was one of the best decisions we made the planning process. He did both our engagement and wedding photos and I could not be more pleased with how they turned out. He asked so many great questions about how I wanted things to go and turn out so it gave me so much confidence on the day of the wedding that I didn't have to worry about anything. Beyond his amazing eye and artistic talent Rusty had the perfect combination of the approachable attitude, but could command people when they needed direction. I am convinced that Rusty can't take a bad photo and I love that they help bring back the amazing memories of the day. I would recommend him for to anyone in a heartbeat!

Rusty was so relaxed and easy to work with! A friend recommended him to us so we had seen Rusty's style and knew that was what we were looking for. He sat down with us before hand to talk about what kind of pictures we wanted, what was important to capture and who was most important to us.

Rusty was punctual and professional. He caught all the great moments plus so much more. His pictures are great with a unique since of style to them that holds them apart from many other photographers. I would recommend Rusty to anyone looking for some great pictures!

Rusty was so easy to work with. He even travelled down to Oklahoma for our wedding. He made the family and wedding party photo time fun and laid back. If you are looking for a quality, professional photographer and prefer candid looking but beautiful pictures, RJStills photography is for you. My husband and I got married in March of 2010 and Rusty made the pictorial process fun and easy. Although he loved getting input from us about shots we wanted, he was able suggest poses that we didn't think of. Even better, he didn't subject us to hours of family portraits that we didn't want. He let us decide which staged photos of the fam we wanted. The prints are just beautiful. He knows how to work with any lighting and created unique shots. Rusty made us (and the somewhat bleak March landscape) look goood. When I had to reschedule our meeting last minute, Rusty was flexible and understanding. You will not find a more talented photographer no matter the cost! I would recommend Rusty to anyone getting married and plan to use him again when our baby is born in August.

I cannot say enough good things about Rusty. Not only us he a phenomenal photographer but he is a joy to know and work with! The last thing you want to be is stressed on your wedding day and worried about your pictures. With Rusty - I didn't worry for a second. He was amazing and the pictures he took were exactly what my husband and I had been hoping for. He has such a unique style and a great eye. Not to mention he is a great value! I have known Rusty personally since high school. Rusty happened to send out a message via Facebook announcing that he was starting a professional photography service, and since I had recently just gotten engaged I checked his stuff out. Since he was new to the "business" he didn't have a lot of photos, and he had only done one wedding, but you could tell from the limited portfolio that his work was good. My mother and I met with him, and within the first few minutes our meeting I knew he was exactly the type of photographer my husband and I were wanting for our wedding; focusing on more candid, artistic phots that the old fashioned "point, smile, shoot." My mother, of course was also looking as cost - and Rusty was a steal in comparison to other photographers I had been looking into to get the exact same type of photos.

Flash forward about 9 months, and we had our engagement photos taken. We went to three locations over the span of about 3 hours. Hands down, they were the most amazing pictures I have ever had taken in my life. I cried when I saw them posted on his blog!!! I couldn't believe that my future husband and I were the focal point of these beautiful photographs.

My husband and I live in Houston TX, so we did a lot of discussing things with Rusty via email. He responded usually within 1-2 days and paid attention to a lot of detail both in his questions and answers. I had no problem getting what we wanted across to him, and he had no problem explaining to me how we could get it.

Rusty did not dissappoint with our wedding pictures either. Since photos were extremely important to us, we bought the all inclusive package for the day (again -a STEAL!). Rusty was with us from 10am to almost 11pm taking photographs. He was extremely professional during the whole time, but he was also a lot of fun to have around. Many times, I didn't even see him working and I found so many pictures later going "when did he take that one?!?!" I had numerous compliements from guests at our wedding about how nice/professional he was and our bridal party simply loved him. The photos we received via disc were simply divine, and almost a year post-wedding I still find myself awe-struck that these are the photographs we are blessed to cherish.

As a former bride, I know how overwhelming planning all the details can be. Rusty made the photography aspect a breeze, and it was so reassuring to know that that part of it all (which my husband I considered the most important part) was completly taken care of. I did not stress once about our pictures. Rusty was hands down AMAZING. I know that even though we live in TX, my husband and I will have no issues making the 12 hours drive to do future work with him for other milestones that will come up (i.e. maternity and baby photos). What's also great is that we didn't just get a "wedding photographer" through it all, we also got a new friend.

You can not go wrong with RJStills and Rusty Wright.

My wife came to me when we were planning our wedding and said "I really want you to meet this photographer mom and I met with. He is a really nice guy." I then asked "well how is his work?" My wife replied with "He is just getting started and has a couple of shoots on his website. He was such a nice guy." I couldnt help but be the skeptical snob of a graphic designer that I am and said "honey, we need an awesome photographer to document one of the major memories of our life. We are in no need of a drinking buddy." My wife felt good about the work she had seen and I trust her judgement. We met with Rusty and decided to take his full engagement and wedding photo package, his plan had already set in. He was well prepared with a variety of lenses to create several dazzling effects. He had done his research around town and found many locations that created perfect drama to every shot. Needless to say I had my doors blown off. The photos that Rusty took for us will be cherished for the rest of our lives. He was right there through the whole ordeal and captured every beautiful moment. When we received the photos and were extremely happy with what we now had, my wife began to cry and I said "he is such a nice guy" Rusty is that awesome photographer to document one of the major memories of your life.

The pictures Rusty took of our wedding were simply awesome! We love them! He did a great job! Everyone asks us who took the pictures because they are not the usual wedding pics. He captured our day in a special way that was unique for us.

My wife and I were incredibly pleased with Rusty's work. His approach to taking pictures was so candid. If you want really brilliant photos of your big day without having to put up with the endless barrage of cheek-to-cheek cheesy poses with every combination of family members possible, Rusty is your man. When we went through the proofs, we couldn't believe how great they were. "I don't even remember seeing him take these!" was often our response. He was also very responsive to our requests, and he worked with our budget. The period of time between when he put some proofs on his website and when we actually got our data disc of photos was a little longer than we thought it would be, but it was still worth the wait. Rusty gave us un-edited digital files of every picture he took in a very charming album, and a complete separate file of pictures that were very tastefully edited. Rusty seems to take a lot of pride in his work, too, since he offered to do any matting and framing that we would want himself.

Overall, we couldn't have been happier about our wedding pictures. I'd recommend Rusty to just about anybody. Unless, of course, getting overcharged by boring photographers is what you have in mind.

I have had so many compliments on my wedding pictures and everyone wants to know WHO my photographer was. Rusty did an amazing job of capturing just what I was looking for in my wedding pictures. The cost for the entire day was an excellent value. Having access to a CD with all the pictures and tiny details of that day is priceless. If you are looking for an amazing deal and even better photographer Rusty is the guy for you. He is so laid back yet still serious and professional about his work.

We had Stephen with the Waldron shoot our wedding. The day of he was great! Made us all feel relaxed, everything ran on time, and he was great to work with. The photos we have seen so far are so great! He is a true artist.
