Our wedding was magical. We had access to the venue for four days to set up our very DIY ceremony and reception and the owners were super accessible, accommodating, and helpful. Their farm is gorgeous, they have a ton of wedding decor, and the alpacas are a hoot. You have the option of getting married in a gorgeous grove of trees or an open field with a background of the Adirondacks. For the price you honestly can’t regret it. They are also very knowledgeable about local wedding vendors.

What an incredible venue and great people! We had an absolutely perfect Wedding weekend, in large part thanks to Jenny and Les! They are reasonable, kind, and down to earth people who will do whatever it takes to make your wedding weekend perfect! Stunning views on all sides, alpacas, and camping available for Wedding guests! The barn is gorgeous and Les and Jenny were kind enough to let us use any extra decorations that had been left behind by other weddings. They made this DIY aspect of this venue seem easy sharing decorations and ideas, offering support with day of coordination, and being available for every question and need. They even helped us to setup our rehearsal dinner at their VRBO farmhouse down the road! During our stay at the cottage that weekend, we felt like family. We got to see an alpaca be born, we had the opportunity to bottle feed two others, and meet some of their other animals including chickens, cows, and of course their wonderful farm dog Addy! This is the ideal place for a Vermont Wedding or even just a great place for a weekend getaway. If you are considering having a 'running of the alpacas' as part of your wedding, DO IT! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend, or for better hosts for our wedding. Thank you Jenny and Les for an amazing experience.

A picture perfect venue for a Vermont DIY wedding. The views are gorgeous, the barn large with fairy lights, lots of outdoor green space for ceremony and cocktail party, large fire pit and ... oh... those adorable alpacas. The running of the alpacas was phenomeonal and put everyone in a great mood. So many people remarked that this was the best wedding they have ever attended. My daughter's dream of the perfect Vermont wedidng came true. :)

The Vermont Wedding Barn, aka Champlain Valley Alpacas, aka a Little Slice of Vermont Heaven, was everything we could have hoped for and more for our July '19 wedding. Jenny and Les, owners and host extraordinaires, are incredibly friendly, sweet, easy people to work with. Les' brother, Bill, was also on site all weekend, lending his hands and just being friendly. They went above and beyond their normal wedding weekend duties to make sure everything went smooth on our weekend. And look at those alpacas! They are such unique, cool, cute animals that were all much more sweet than we had imagined. They really provide a lot of character to this beautiful Bridport venue, and the 'Running of the Alpacas' is something we will never forget!
When we booked this venue sight unseen, we had been a little apprehensive to see it in person for the first time, but the barn itself is much more spacious than some of the photos make it seem (we fit 140 people, buffet tables, a 5-piece band, bar, and more in there), the manicured lawn all around it provides tons of room for lawn games, appetizer tables, cocktail hour, etc., the pool cottage is a charming, spacious studio with a nice shaded deck and, of course, the pool to hop in when it got too hot was a big family favorite. There are a few different options for ceremony site depending on your preference, which is a nice thing for a venue to offer. We chose the sunny spot, next to the vineyard with the Adirondack backdrop. Can't beat it.
It's worth noting that when booking at the Vermont Wedding Barn, you are booking the space to use for your wedding. Unlike some other places, you are not hiring a team to help coordinate, set up, take care of the logistical aspects. As I said, Jenny and Les were very helpful to us in so many ways, but just remember there are a lot of moving pieces that go into a wedding weekend! Planning and executing our wedding ourselves, we learned this first hand. Be sure you have help arranged for the weekend (recruit your family + friends!). Of course, this makes the Vermont Wedding Barn more financially viable than a lot of other VT venues!
Overall, if it isn't obvious yet, we loved this place and would certainly recommend the venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, outdoor Vermont setting. There is something about a barn wedding that is just so fun, the 60 or so alpaca on the farm give the property a unique, fun leg up on other Vermont venues, and Jenny & Les take it over the top with their hospitality and friendliness. We are so happy we tied the knot at this great family farm - it will always hold a place in our hearts.

We had the PERFECT wedding day/entire wedding experience at The Vermont Wedding Barn! The views and scenery cannot be matched. I am originally from Vermont and some of the most beautiful land in the state is in Bridport. The barn is gorgeous which makes decorations so easy, less is more! Les and Jenny are so easy to work with and genuinely want you to get everything you dreamed of in a venue. The alpacas were a huge hit and added to the fun for us! Being able to have a bonfire after the DJ and caterers were finished added so much more time with the people who attended the wedding and allowed us to keep the night going as long as we wanted. It is so convenient for your guests to be able to pitch a tent or bring and RV and camp for the night and not have to get hotel rooms! We got so much more out of The Vermont Wedding Barn as a venue than other venues even begin to offer. We cannot say enough good things about it and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone getting married! Thank you Les and Jenny, you’re the best!

My husband and I did a mini-honeymoon break for a few nights after our wedding and it was PERFECT! Jenny and Les are the perfect hosts and are so sweet and welcoming. They truly went out of their way to make our stay special. The cottage is cozy and comfortable with a beautiful pool view and close to gorgeous fields. And of course the alpacas!!!! They are so peaceful and we enjoyed walking the grounds and watching these gentle animals. It was a lovely stay and one of the highlights of our trip.

Beautiful setting with plenty of views and photography spots. The owners, Les and Jenny, were amazing and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure our wedding was perfect. We had both our Ceremony and Reception here without any issues. Our guests enjoyed walking the grounds and watching the sun set in the Adirondacks. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. They truly deserve 5 stars.

There really aren't words to express how wonderful, how magical, how perfect this place, and the people who own it, are. My wife and I got married here in late August, after years of planning, searching, preparation and anticipation, and when I say that Les and Jenny and the venue itself exceeded our expectations, that's no small feat. To begin, the area itself is absolutely magical: a storybook-perfect barn, large enough to handle the biggest party, glowing with light from every corner, capable of being transformed into whatever your vision has in store (ours included two caterers and a giant stage for a 20-person motown band and it worked perfectly), and situated on a gorgeous piece of farmland with views stretching from the mountains to Lake Champlain. More wonderful even than the venue are the proprietors, truly wonderful, real people who genuinely care about you, your spouse-to-be, and your friends and family having a magical experience. Every step of the way, we felt treated like family, from the extremely generous amount of time we had to prepare the space, to the hands-on help and expert advice on everything from vendors to weather prep, to the wonderful extras, including a post-reception bonfire and the "running of the alpacas" (you'll just have to trust me on that one but rest assured, it will be a huge hit with your guests). This is a truly unique, absolutely remarkable place made all the more special because of the deep generosity, kindness and love of Les and Jenny and their family (I'm not exaggerating, they even drove us to our rehearsal dinner!). We will never forget the kindness that they showed to us, and I recommend the Vermont Wedding Barn with my highest, most sincere endorsement. And that's even before you get into the incredible value versus other venues. If you're looking to get married anywhere near central Vermont, do yourself a favor and call Les & Jenny.

Our experience at The Wedding Barn at Champlain Valley Alpacas exceeded all of our expectations. Les and Jenny, the owners, are so amazingly helpful, accessible, and flexible. Did I mention they are also kind, caring, and supportive? I was planing my wedding from out of state, and they made me, and my now husband, feel so comfortable. We absolutely made the right choice for our wedding day. We were able to choose our own caterer, we were able to decorate ourselves, and stay on the premises for almost a week. The views are absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is idyllic. This entire experience was unreal. I look back on our wedding day and it feels like a fantasy. There were adorable alpacas everywhere, we got married in a beautiful field with the Adirondacks in the background, reception in the enormous barn, and we ended the night with a bonfire. The pool house we stayed in was charming and we had an in ground pool to ourselves during our stay.

Les & Jenny are "salt of the earth" people, truly good people which makes a huge difference in business.

After my wife and I had coordinated with St. Mary's Church in Middlebury for our wedding on July 1, we began hunting for local venues. Les & Jenny have a really amazing thing going with their home, wedding barn, and working farm at Champlain Valley Alpacas. From the moment we met them, we knew it was the right place for us, and the day was truly magical. We could not be more thankful.

Our wedding was a pretty eclectic affair. I am a farm kid from North Dakota and a Marine. My wife grew up in New York but much of her family immigrated from Trinidad. We were hoping to find a reception venue that reflected the different facets of our relationship, and our love for New England where we met during college.

Even though we might not have codified our priorities at the time we were looking at the venue, in hindsight, this is what we prioritized:
1) a beautiful space, not only in the interior and decoration, but in the surrounding environment
2) a venue that allowed us a lot of flexibility in terms of timeline, style, activities, etc.
3) a place that could incorporate things that were important to us (agriculture, localism, family, music, outdoor activities)
4) a solid and beautiful structure so there would be no concerns about tents or rain
5) affordable, providing high quality recommendations for vendors, with freedom to choose what works best

The Wedding Barn at Champlain Valley Alpacas really delivered. Traveling from afar to set up for the wedding on a holiday weekend, it made it easy to have the place "completely ours" all weekend with no stressful timeline constraints. Les & Jenny were very responsive via email whenever we had questions. Our reception had a "run of the alpacas", bocce, frisbee, croquet, little children running around, lots of food and drink and conversation. Pure magic. Truly the greatest day of my life and we are so thankful.

This place fit our vision perfectly for a country rustic wedding in a wedding barn. The alpacas are adorable and we were able to get some great pictures with them, the scenic views are amazing as a backdrop, and Jenny and Les were beyond amazing, answering all our questions and offering to help in every way possible. They made the whole process super easy and enjoyable. The Vermont Wedding Barn is affordable, beautiful, and romantic, and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

My husband and I feel so lucky to have held our wedding and reception at the Vermont Wedding Barn at Champlain Valley Alpacas earlier this summer. Everything about the experience was excellent, from the gorgeous ceremony site to the rustic barn, pool house cottage, and of course the alpacas! The owners Les and Jenny have created a one-of-a-kind beautiful and relaxed venue that matched perfectly with our vision for the day. We had access to the entire venue Wednesday through Sunday which made set up and take down as easy as can be and the price cannot be beat. On site camping made it easy for all of our guests to celebrate through the night and enjoy the incredible bonfire. Les and Jenny were professional, easy-going, and very responsive if we had any questions or concerns at all. I cannot recommend Champlain Valley Alpacas enough!

We wanted a rustic VT wedding, and could not have been more happy to stumble across The Vermont Wedding Barn. The views were stunning, the setup was perfect, and the couple who own the place were so friendly and helpful. Although we had looked at several other venues prior, I could not be more thankful we decided on this one. It was everything we had hoped for, from the beautiful outdoor tree-lined avenue to the spacious and open barn where we held the reception. And of course, let's not forget the alpacas! We have several wedding photos with one of the newborns that we will always cherish.

Great location and wonderful people to work with. They allowed several days for set up and were very flexible. I was very happy with how everything went.

This was the perfect venue for us, and we can't believe how great our experience was. Jenny and Les provide a very down-to-earth experience -- by the time we drove away after the wedding, we felt like we were leaving friends and a place that we will always cherish (we arrived on Thursday before the wedding and stayed until the following Tuesday, as did some of our friends).

The farm is beautiful, and very unique. We loved the cozy newlyweds cottage (and attached pool), the spacious and beautifully lit barn (where everyone was completely unaware of the monsoon rains outside), the grassy field with wildflowers where our friends camped and hung out around the bonfire, and perhaps most of all, the adorable alpacas!

Jenny and Les were super helpful and welcoming. They were happy to be as accommodating or hands-off as we wanted, and were able to offer all sorts of help with planning, vendor relations, etc. We particularly like how they made us feel at home in their home, going so far as inviting us in for coffee and a chat in their kitchen in the mornings.

Also, there is a great country store up the road about 2 miles, Pratts, that provides excellent catering services and makes this a convenient venue despite its distance from a Burlington.

We had an absolute wonderful experience at the Champlain Valley Alpaca Farm!

This location is phenomenal. It has a lot of wonderful perks (decorations on site, the alpaca run, stunning views, multiple event areas that are both outdoors and indoors) and Jenny/Les who run the farm are very flexible. You also rent the entire weekend (Thursday to Sunday), which is helpful if you plan to do multiple events on location. Jenny/Les are responsive and communicative but are not always the most clear communicators. If you are going for a relaxed/flexible wedding and you don't mind a little chaos, this is an amazing find!

The venue was amazing. Just what we were looking for. The hosts were great. The only major issue was we were given a total cost of what it would be to rent the rooms and use of the barn then as we drew closer to the date they started to tack on extra (unexpected) charges that were not made clear in the beginning. My only advice is get the TOTAL cost into a written agreement right at the beginning! Other than that we had no issues.
