We had our wedding reception there and it was nothing short of perfect. Alyssa's communication and professionalism made it downright easy. We hesitated to book as it stretched our budget just a touch, but it was 100% worth it and we have no regrets. They made it so easy! We had a couple of changes along the way and Alyssa was so responsive and accommodating, I was extremely impressed. The bar staff is just a delight. We've been there for drinks on a random night as well, it's the same staff, and they were just so sweet even before knowing that we'd booked. We look forward to visiting in the future and reminiscing!

Let me tell you that this venue and the amazing staff went above and beyond to make our special day one of the best weddings any of our guests had ever been to.
They were responsive and worked with us for all of the quirky things we wanted to do. It's a beautiful venue and it's so close to the hotels and downtown lights that it was perfect for our guests too who needed something to do before the wedding.
We had about 100 people and it was nothing less than perfection for the wedding festivities. I even want to push my work to have our Christmas party here next year!
If you're looking for something that gets you the most bang for your buck, the flexibility to really do want you want to do, and the convenience and proximity of downtown for your guests, this is the place for you.

This was a unique and wonderful venue for our rehearsal dinner. Alyssa and staff were very responsive and helpful in pulling together a magical evening.

I chose Devil's River Whiskey Distillery because of a myriad of reasons. One of the big ones was the aesthetics. It's absolutely gorgeous, but one of the best things about the venue is the many ways you can use the space and how they're helpful to your guests. We had our ceremony on the ground floor, our dinner in the speakeasy below the main floor, then we had our reception/dancing on the main floor again. There is an elevator for people who need it, and this worked amazingly. The space was beautiful and the staff did a WONDERFUL job, helping people know where to go, great service, and super attentive. The head bartender and manager, Garrett, along with the venue coordinator, Alyssa, were absolutely amazing. They were flexible, always quick to respond to me when I had questions, patient, and they truly bent over backwards to make our wedding beautiful. They worked well with vendors, had great communication skills, and were exceedingly kind and gracious to us and our family and friends.

The benefit, space wise, of this venue is that if the party is going and you have friends and family who need a break, they can retreat back to the quiet of the speakeasy or go sit on the patio. My guests loved these spaces, especially my older relatives who didn't want to be near loud music. The DJ was situated on the floor above the dance floor, which was a blessing as it meant more space for the ceremony and reception below.

The venue is truly beautiful, and if a couple wants a classic or even art deco/1920s themed wedding, it's good for that. The space is also great to dress up with whatever vibe the couple is going for.

Once again, the main reason to use the venue here is the staff. They were very open, and Alyssa communicated with me well-over a year in advance and was never too busy too answer my questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding. They were super organized, went and above and beyond to clear spaces, help guests, and communicate with vendors. I'm so grateful and thankful for the staff at Devil's River! They went above and beyond, making sure I was as stress-free as possible on my wedding day.

ALSO, it is a distillery and the whiskey they serve is VERY good! The whiskey cocktails they make were such a huge hit with the guests we had tons of wine leftover! We chose an Open Bar, which does cost more than a cash bar, but for us it was worth it. But they had different options that can help with a couple on a budget!

If you want a unique, edgy, classy, and stylish venue you can stop looking cause you just found it. As a bride who wanted something unique, moody, and wanted guests to be entertained throughout the wedding this place checked all those boxes. Every nook and cranny is filled with details, history, and has this moody vibe that everyone raved about. We were the last to get married out of our group and every married couple said they've never been to a wedding like it. Don't worry about the two stories because out guest felt like they were being transported. From the ceremony, to cocktail, to reception, every space felt different and we were thrilled to see the floors and space transform. Alyssa kicked ass with helping us, and working with our coordinator. She is on top of it, organized, and if you're a type A like me, she is your new best friend. Book this place now before it's too late!

Our venue shut down the beginning of 2020 and Loretta and Mike were so helpful and made us feel welcomed. They are very communicative and are always ready to help. Due to the pandemic we did have to postpone until April and even then they made sure everything was just right. It was the DECISION we could’ve have made. Not to forget the bartenders and day of staff were INCREDIBLE. I wish I could rate them higher!!

Maricela and Loretta literally saved my wedding! When my original venue cancelled 58 days before they stepped in and made it happen! This venue is one of a kind and I still have my guests talking about how cool the experience was! The food was incredible and we party hard! I highly recommend this venue they literally gave me my dream wedding! Thank you both so much for making this happen with such short notice!

Absolutely gorgeous! This venue had so much charm and uniqueness to it. All it needed was a touch of flowers! This venue accomodated both the ceremony and reception. The big patio in the front is where we had a cocktail hour while the room was getting flipped to the reception, and it only took a few minutes! This place is not your ordinary venue, it has SO much more class. What are you waiting for? BOOK this venue before it's too late, you won't regret it!

We were the FIRST reception at this beautiful venue! I was the brother in law to the bride. We simply loved everything about it. The attentiveness to all of our questions, this place has 3 levels that can be used. The dance floor is perfect and the bride and grooms areas are amazing! I would recommend this venue anytime and twice on Sundays!

Such a beautiful place for a wedding. This is not your typical wedding spot and definitely stands out and is so different and elegant. It’s so pretty not much decor is needed. Getting married during a pandemic restricted and limited our vision but thankfully the venue had just the right amount of space to make this special day possible for us. The staff was helpful and kind- Loretta and her team are always so professional.

My husband and I booked this venue during this crazy pandemic, which we were first nervous about doing... but definitely the best decision in our wedding planning process 😍 The venue was beautiful and we got so many compliments from our guests, the food was incredible and everything was everything we hoped for. Highly recommend! We will cherish the memories we made here forever ❤️

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the venue at devils river!! It turned out amazing 😍! We have only seen some of our preview pictures, but this place makes for greattt pics !!! Our guests had a great time and everyone really enjoyed the vibe of the venue! We also used heavenly gourmet as our catering! We are still receiving compliments on how great the food was!! We had several out of town guests and the location of this venue is DT SA, great walking distance from several hotels!! The staff was very engaged in making our big day a great one ! Thank you! 🥂😍

Beautiful venue in an amazing location. Alyssa and Garrett were excellent at providing us with an amazing experience for our wedding. Its a naturally decorated venue and all of my guests were impressed by the facility. The proximity to the riverwalk was a huge plus and allowed our guests (most from outside of San Antonio) to experience the city. Highly recommend!
