An elevated ceremony!
I absolutely loved working with Janie + Vanderbilt Strings. From the very beginning, I was excited to work with these talented musicians. Their portal of different songs I could choose for my ceremony was awesome, but even more so, I had several songs that were not a part of their library that they crafted and perfected for my big day. I had so many guests saying how nice and how cool it was to hear some of their favorite songs played during the ceremony in such a beautiful way. Thank you, thank you for making our day so special!

Amazing violin players!

Fabulous Classy Entertainment
We hired Vanderbilt Strings to play during a rehearsal dinner on Marco Island, FL. They were absolutely great - start to finish. They were easy to communicate with (throughout the process) and so pleasant to deal with....we couldn't wait to meet them. The evening of the big event they arrived a bit early, set up efficiently and played beautifully throughout the cocktail hour and the dinner. They paused during speeches....but picked up seamlessly as soon as the last speaker concluded.
Our event was on an enormous outdoor lawn. They were able to bring equipment to help with sound quality. The balconies of the hotel overlooked the lawn. The music was so lovely that other hotel guests came out to sit on their balconies and take in the free concert. The evening was magical....thanks in large part to Vanderbilt Strings. We'd highly recommend them!!

Amazing music and service for our daughters beach wedding.
The Vanderbilt Strings were wonderful to work with. With everything going on with COVID we decided to change the date and location of the ceremony and they were very accommodating. They added such a nice touch to the ceremony and played beautifully. They played our selections and even played a Star Wars themed song that we requested. The Vanderbilt Strings were a wonderful addition to our wedding! The trio we hired provided beautiful music for our ceremony. I communicated with Janie upon first signing the contract, and she was very helpful and prompt with her emails. Our wedding was on the lawn by the beach, and I could hear the trio playing from my hotel suite room while I was waiting to be called down to walk down the "aisle." It was absolutely beautiful and our guests commented on how much they enjoyed them. My only regret was that I did not get the chance to personally thank them - my coordinator had handled everything when they arrived so I did not even get to meet them. But my husband and I are so happy we chose them - thank you!!!

All of our guests raved about them all evening long and even after the wedding. They have music samples on their website and also cover a wide range of music styles. Janie is courteous, professional and will respond to your emails in a very timely manner. Talk about a group that is able to be extremely flexible and "wing" it - as we never had a rehearsal and there really was no need to have one! They were SPOT ON and did an incredible job!! You're hiring professional musicians and a team that knows what to do with weddings. I provided a script of the ceremony in advance that helped them follow along, which I think makes things easier for cues. We hired a String Trio for our ceremony on the beach and they did an amazing job! Hire with confidence.

We worked with them for my November wedding. Janie was extremely responsive and flexible, working with us last minute. Their online selection/event planning service is great and helps you easily plan the music you want during different parts of your ceremony. Jen, the violinist, played beautifully. She was extremely flexible and professional during the crazy/disorganized time leading up to our event. I really could not be more pleased! Wonderful!

My entire experience with the Vanderbilt Strings was seamless, from booking all the way through my wedding. Janie was very prompt and friendly in responding to questions, following up and acknowledging payment was received. On the day of the wedding, they were set up right on time as promised. We had a string trio, and they were exceptional -- very talented and professional. We chose a somewhat untraditional song for our ceremony exit (which was included on their very long list of selections), and several of the guests at the reception were talking about how much they loved it. The Vanderbilt Strings were recommended to me by a friend who booked them for her wedding, and I would absolutely recommend them and hire them again.

Just awesome!!!
I hire 2 musicians (violin and viola) for playing just 3 songs for a surprise beach proposal, and they were just perfect. They had a large list of songs they could play (from classical to rock and etc), and their presentation (tuxedo) and playing was awesome. Since it was a surprise, they play the secret all along until the right moment.
I sincerely recommend these guys for any event you need. They play awesome!
PS: By the way, both musicians were really really nice guys too...

Vanderbilt Strings made our wedding extra special. All my guests were impressed by the music variety and playing ability of the string trio. What made them even more special was they learned how to play a special (but obscure) song for our ceremony. Thank you Janie/Vanderbilt Strings for making our wedding a day we will never forget.

Absolutely amazing!! My wedding was on March 22nd and we booked a string quartet from Vanderbilt Strings to perform for 2 hours pre ceremony and during cocktail hour. It was always a pleasure to deal with Janie and she was flexible to change the timing slightly at the last minute. The musicians were all timely, professionally dressed and performed a BEAUTIFUL set. My guests were raving about the SQ and it added just the vibe we were looking for. Vanderbilt Strings is a great value for the money, I would absolutely recommend them and am honestly looking for a reason to use them again!

We had the Vanderbilt Strings play at our ceremony last weekend and they were terrific. Not only did they sound amazing, but they were very professional and had a large selection of music to choose from. My husband and I had made some last minute changes to our ceremony, yet Janie was so accommodating and was able to work with our time change and last minute music choices. All of our guests complimented on how beautiful they sounded. They really made our ceremony memorable.

Having the Vanderbilt Strings play for our beach ceremony really added a special touch. All of the guests commented on how beautiful the music was and how it added so much to the ceremony. They also accompanied our soloist and did a terrific job. This was a really special addition to our ceremony.

We recently got married in Naples and hired a string trio from the Vanderbilt Strings. The wedding was at night on the roofdeck of the Inn on Fifth and the trio was perfect! We selected all Jazz Standards from their playlist, both for the ceremony and the cocktails (I'm not a Here Comes the Bride girl). They were fantastic and helped make our wedding beautiful! Perfect choice if you're looking for elegant but a bit non-traditional. (They do classical and other genres as well - including Here Comes the Bride!)

The Vanderbilt Strings played lovely music during our ceremony. It was such a beautiful touch and everyone thought it sounded beautiful. They played before the ceremony began so that people could hear more music and also played exactly what we wanted them to during the ceremony. They have an extensive list of songs that they can play and are very friendly and helpful.

I absolutely loved my music provided by Janie and Vanderbilt Strings. It made our ceremony complete and I couldn't have asked for better music. Janie is so professional and kept in contact with me throughout the entire planning process. Being an out of town bride, I was nervous about not having an opportunity to meet with our vendors prior to our ceremony. Janie eased my fears, sent me samplings of music, and led me to their website to listen to all the different genres of music the Vanderbilt Strings have to offer. I would definitely recommed them to anyone looking for a musical accompaniment to their ceremony!! Vanderbilt Strings is simply the best!

Having the Vanderbilt Strings play for my ceremony and cocktail hour at my wedding was more than I could have asked for. They were very professional and worked well with the event coordinator at the resort where I married. I was planning a destination wedding but the Vanderbilt Strings had such great communication that I knew everything would go as I wanted. My relatives and friends who have classical music training were very impressed with the quality of the music. Using the string trio for my wedding was the perfect sound for my outdoor wedding. I am so grateful for the work they did which made my wedding music go exactly as I wanted. I highly recommend this group.

Wonderful addition to our beach ceremony! The Vanderbilt Strings were very flexible in playing a combination of classical songs and more modern music which was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful and elegant do not even begin to describe how amazing this group of insanely talented people are. Janie did such an amazing job putting together a list of music that flowed together so beautifully for our ceremony. It made our wedding so elegant. I didn't really get to enjoy them because I came 30 minutes after they started playing, but they did a really good job. My guests were all complimenting them. They played a lot of current music that my husband wanted and were very professional.

Vanderbilt Strings did an amazing job for us. Not only are they totally professional, prompt, and responsive, they are also extremely talented musicians who can play a diverse range of music. In addition to playing Bach and Haydn for our ceremony, we asked them to find musical pieces from my husband's Cuban culture for our Cuban-themed cocktail hour, and they went above and beyond to do so. They were also flexible about being moved from the beach (where the ceremony had been held) to a terrace, and having to set up again, after our beachside cocktail hour got rained out. We highly recommend the Vanderbilt Strings!

The Vanderbuilt Strings played for our outdoor wedding in Marco Island. Their music was the perfect addition to our wedding and added a element of class to our dinner and dancing. We had special requests that they play a waltz for our first dance and they chose a wonderful selection of music to exactly fit our requests. They arrived promptly, were very organized and followed our requested schedule to a tee. Their musical talent was evident and their choice of songs was perfect for our event. Vanderbilt Strings played during my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing. They did such a great job an all the guests said the music was perfect. It was completely worth it to spend the money to have live music at the wedding ceremony and cocktail. It really set the mood. Janie was great to work with and made everything super easy and simple to set up. I would 100% recommend them to another bride or someone else planning an event.

The Vanderbilt Strings provided a string quartet that played ceremony music for our beach wedding on 09/24/11.
Janie was very helpful, easy to reach and responsive to questions from the beginning and provided all of the necessary paperwork to secure our wedding date. I felt that the price was a bit high for them to only play for a hour and their may be other groups out there that charge less. This is the only negative thing to say about them.
We didn't have any particular songs in mind that we wanted played while guests were being seated, so we left it up to them to choose songs and they did a great job. The music was beautiful and it added a great touch to our small, personal, beach wedding. Highly recommend them to future brides :)

Everything was PERFECT, until the wedding day. The one and only reason we hired violinists was to play Canon in D by Pachelbel while I walked down the aisle as a tribute to my husbands father who passed away a few years ago. Planning was great, Janie made sure everything was handled and figured out. We submitted and confirmed our song selection for the half hour block, even though all we cared about was Canon in D. The ceremony started, everything was great... until I walked down the aisle... Canon in D was never played. Apparently the violinists (who Janie hired) had a "blank" in the spot where it told them what song to play when the bride walked down the aisle. They never thought to double check this with Janie or ask me the day before or even day of the wedding and assumed it meant to continue on with the wedding party song. Long story short, there was a glitch in the Excel program Janie uses that formulated a blank space. Janie was more than apologetic and refunded us immediately. However, it is a learning experience and an experience that I hope no other brides have to deal with in the future! I would recommend Vanderbilt Strings, they sounded good... however, no matter what company, always TRIPLE check!!!
