One month later and people are still talking about how amazing our band was. Uptown Groove brought the energy, talent, and vibes—we couldn’t have asked for better. They were so responsive throughout planning and even added two more musicians for us last-minute. They nailed all of our special requests and curated the best set list. The dance floor was full the entire night. Truly unforgettable! -

The Uptown Groove had our 120 wedding guests dancing all night long! Awesome musicians and vocalists made our evening perfect! Seth was great to work with in advance of the wedding—ensuring we had audio support and music for the outdoor wedding ceremony and the dinner reception, as well as late night DJ support. When we moved to the dancing part of the evening the band blew us away with both current and 70s/80s/90s music that appealed to everyone. -

WOW does The Uptown Groove know how to throw a party! This band is so talented, the dancing never stopped! I think everyone on the dance floor said "this band is amazing" for every song. My husband and I sent an overview of the type of music we'd like to be played at our wedding, and Seth and the group put together an incredible song list from their very long list of songs. You can 100% trust that this talented group of musicians will deliver exactly what you are hoping for. Not only was the party a blast, Seth knows how to run a wedding timeline so smoothly that you don't have to worry about a thing on your wedding day. I will be recommending this band to anyone and everyone in the Rochester area. Thanks for the best party of my life! -

The Uptown Groove was AMAZING for our wedding!!!!! Seth and his colleagues were great to work with during the planning process, as well as on the day of our wedding. Many of our guests commented on how great the band was and how unique it was having a live band instead of a DJ. Their repertoire of different genres across different eras was also very impressive, and they absolutely NAILED every song!!!!! We danced the whole night, and it was so incredibly memorable. We also loved the ability to have brass in the band, and the saxophonist even came onto our dance floor to do a solo. They even personalized some songs for us to make it literally the best wedding that we could possibly ask for. Thanks again!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!! :-) -

We were fortunate to have Uptown Groove at our wedding and it was one of the top highlights of our night!! The band (in our opinion) is one of the most crucial parts for having a fun reception, and they knocked it out of the park. We couldn't be more obsessed with Harper, Lisa, and the whole band. Also, working with Seth was wonderful from start to finish. As band manager, he was responsive, organized, professional, and very thoughtful. We have received COUNTLESS compliments on our band and would recommend them to anyone looking to hire an awesome band. Someone even told us, "I've never seen a dance floor packed from start to finish like this". Thank you uptown groove!! -

The Uptown Groove was surely one of the BEST decisions we made when it came to our wedding! The band performed for us and our guests at our wedding last weekend (8.30.24) at the Hayloft On the Arch and what an AWESOME experience! From the beginning stages of planning, we were able to see him and his band perform at the Turning Stone Casino to get the full experience of how they perform and boy was it amazing! Seth’s expertise and knowledge of how the day would flow left us as a couple feeling at ease! From the consistent communication in the months and days leading up to our wedding, he was always an available to call or text whenever we needed! Our wedding day went off without any issues and ALL of our guests raved about how awesome Uptown Groove was! Each member of the band engaged all of our guests in the crowd, and even got our kids dancing to their favorite songs! If you are considering a live band for your special day, the Uptown Groove should be on your list of vendors! -

Absolutely sensational!
The Uptown Groove brought the house down at our 70's disco gala with their infectious energy and incredible musical talent. From their groovy beats to their soulful vocals, they had everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. Their seamless performance truly transported us back to the golden era of disco, and their passion for music was palpable throughout the entire event. We hired them for our intimate wedding ceremony early December and a larger wedding reception a couple of weeks after on NYE. Seth is great to work with and is happy to help with organizing playlists for your event. Seth and Uptown Groove are UNREAL. They played at our wedding last weekend and truly stole the show. They were professional, fun, and sounded incredible.
Seth was a joy to work with from the very first call. He’s thorough, prompt, and truly the nicest! He gave us great guidance along the way. Seth even put up with surprise phone calls from family members wanting to get on stage for the newly weds….honestly could not recommend this group enough. My guests are still talking about them!!! If there’s one thing that will make people remember your wedding, it’s the music; and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Uptown Groove. We worked with Seth throughout the process and he was super flexible and walked us through all the in’s and out’s of how the entire MC service would go. The band performance was absolutely incredible. The reception was constantly engaged throughout the night, and kept people on the dance floor, which made the experience that much better. Hands Down the Best Decision
The Uptown Groove was hands down the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. Seth communicated with us all throughout the upcoming months/weeks/days before our wedding, as well as the day of. This band was truly amazing and definitely set our wedding over the top! We are still getting calls and texts asking for the name of our band. One family friend booked The Uptown Groove the following week. These guys really know how to entertain a crowd, as well as help out with any curve balls that might have been thrown during the reception. We had everyone on the dancefloor the entire night , which is a huge plus and need. Most weddings i have gone to, people are hanging out at the bar and dance floor is usually empty. Not with The Uptown Groove. They made sure that the entire dance floor was PACKED. Highly recommend this band, believe me when i tell you that they will not disappoint. They are AWESOME!! -

The Uptown Groove were amazing! We had 9 members and had so much fun. We live in Colorado and our wedding was in Geneva, so it can be nerve wracking booking vendors when you’re out of state but so glad I followed reviews and their detailed website because the band was consistently the most complimented aspect of our wedding. Seth is great and easy to work with. Danced all night with numerous guests telling us it was the best wedding band they’d ever heard.The Uptown Groove's reply:

We hired Uptown Groove for our wedding this past weekend and could not have dreamed of a better band. They kept the energy up all night with their incredible talent and we were approached by many guests after to let us know how exceptional the band was. They played every genre beautifully and gave us the best private concert I’ve ever been to. They were also extremely easy to work with. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a live band! I could not recommend The Uptown Groove higher. Seth, the bandleader, led an extraordinary band that kept our guests dancing and partying throughout the entire night. He also served as a great MC. He was honest and forthright about what from his decades of experience works and does not work for a successful wedding reception in terms of the order of operations for the night. Many guests said that Uptown Groove was the best wedding band that they have ever heard. He played a great mix of music that ALL generations enjoyed. I have already received requests for his information from friends and family who are in the process of planning their weddings. -

Where do I begin....The uptown Groove was phenomenal! They played the most awesome set list for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing! All of our guest kept asking about the band and saying how amazing they were. Seth was just outstanding to work with. He was very focused on making sure we were satisfied with all aspects of his band. Our first dance song was customized and with Harold's vocals just knocked it out of the park. I have been to many venues over the years and never heard a group of musicians and vocalist so finely tuned. Patrons at the wedding location were asking who they were and wanted information so they could contact them for their upcoming events. I would look no further than Uptown Groove for any event that you may be looking for a live band. Their genre reaches across all types of music and Seth will make sure it is perfect. If they can't do something he will also tell you so and you can not ask for anything more. Pick Uptown Groove for your next event! -

Outstanding!!!
This band was outstanding! I had another band booked for my husbands surprise 50th Birthday party. One day before the party my band cancelled due to illness. I didn’t know what to do and was scrambling to find a replacement band last minute. I found this band looking online, and I was connected with Seth from Uptown Groove. He messaged me and said “Let me see what I can do, and make this happen.” Seth went above and beyond and assembled the band for me on such short notice. The band put on such a great show. The party guests and myself were blown away by the music they played, the talented singers, and professionalism. I would highly recommend this band for any of your party events. -

Highlight of our reception!!
Uptown Groove was worth every penny! They helped us so much leading up to our big day in organizing the flow of the event. Seth was so fast to respond, and always had the best attitude, even as we were trying to plan this wedding through the uncertainty of Covid. Our guests were blown away by their sound and how much fun the band had playing together. We even have photos of the bartenders dancing the night away. Their setlist is diverse and extensive. Their energy is infectious. Uptown Groove made a lot of fans that night, and we are dying to get out and see them again. Hire this Band!!!!!The Uptown Groove's reply:

I cannot say enough good things about The Uptown Groove. I have seen them perform at multiple functions and worked with them on various weddings and events. In my professional opinion as a wedding planner, I'm very impressed with their professionalism, energy, and talented musicians and singers. They are great at performing a variety of sets depending on the occasion (cocktail hour, mellow dinner hour, and super energetic dance party). During the planning phase, Seth Sealfon is very quick to respond to my questions and takes time to prepare and learn the intricacies and nuances of each event. He is also a great emcee and works with me on the run-of-show to ensure that he is prepared and the band can deliver the best performance possible. They are one of my favorite wedding bands and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lively band their guests will love. -

A great funky dance experience!
We saw this band at the German House May 3rd. They lit the place up!! They play that "real good, feel good music and cover s of Earth ,Wind and Fire that will keep you dancing. VERY professional looking too. Highly recommend them and can't wait to see them again.The Uptown Groove's reply:
