Hiring Erich and The Uptown Band will be the easiest decision you make during your wedding planning process. From our very first call, Erich was incredibly personable and easy to work with. He answered every email at lightning speed leading up to the wedding, and we always felt like we were in great hands.
The Uptown Band had been my dream wedding band ever since I was serving tables 10 years ago. They were the only thing that kept me from taking the early cut because they were just THAT good. Years later, their consistency has not changed. They are absolutely incredible.
They are true experts at creating an unforgettable party atmosphere. We never left the dance floor, and neither did our guests. I don't think we've ever been to a wedding with a better dance floor. Erich was the perfect MC throughout the night. He engaged our guests flawlessly and kept everything flowing smoothly without ever taking attention away from us.
He stayed true to our "must play" list and crafted the perfect setlist, keeping everyone dancing all night long. Erich truly makes you feel like your wedding is the most important event of their year. I can honestly say they are worth every single penny.
Go see one of their free shows throughout the year and experience it for yourself. You won't regret it.

Erich and the band were SENSATIONAL! Truly, everything we could hope for. Live music was extremely important to us on our wedding day, and Erich and the band delivered in spades. Each member of the band really shines; they delivered a jazzy, intimate vibe for cocktail hour and upbeat, dance vibes for the reception. Erich emcee'd the day with such enthusiasm and professionalism. We couldn't be happier and will recommend them again and again. -

Worth every penny for our wedding. Everyone said the same thing, “That was the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to.” Erich is a great MC, learned all the weird songs I wanted, and is a true professional. He knows how to get the crowd up and dancing and make it a fun wedding. Also, FOREST IS THE MAN. -

The Uptown Band was amazing to work with from beginning to end. Erich was extremely responsive to any questions and very thorough in preparing for our wedding. The whole band put on an absolutely INCREDIBLE show for our wedding guests. We had a full dance floor for the entire night and so many of our guests came up to us later to tell us how much fun they had. I might be biased, but The Uptown Band was definitely the best band I have ever seen perform at a wedding. They were interactive, high energy, and truly helped us create a night we will never forget! -

AMAZING!!!! My husband and I were on the fence about dj vs band but could not be more thrilled with our decision. Uptown Band was the best! Our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we are still receiving texts on how much fun we had. We had multiple phone calls/emails leading up to the wedding, Erich listened to all of our requests/concerns/etc and followed through. Do not hesitate with booking them :) -

Total win! Erich kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor all night, allowed us two special performances, and was extremely flexible. Band is first-rate, without question. Wouldn't have wanted anyone else. -

We were searching for a band for our wedding to fit with our Christmas Speak Easy theme. I looked at many, but none really felt "right." Then I remembered seeing the Uptown Band at Nissley at their last summer concert of 2021. I looked at their website and instantly knew they would likely be the best fit. I spoke with Erich, and everything fell into place so perfectly. I loved all the horns, all the energy, everything! Their stage presence is like no other, and kept everyone engaged and on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding said it was the best wedding band they had ever seen, as well as the most beautiful, magical wedding they had ever attended. They truly set the vibe I was going for with a 20's/30's Christmas Speak Easy wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our wedding as special as it was! I can't wait to see them at other performances through the year! -

Beyond amazing!
The Uptown Band played at our wedding reception and we could not have been happier! Each member was so professional and talented, and made the evening so much fun. Erich was reliable, flexible, and responsive, which eased the stress of wedding planning! It was the perfect amount of ‘crowd involvement’, too—guests had so much fun and were so engaged! Mark Sent on 03/05/2018Words cannot describe the phenomenal entertainment that was provided by Erich Cawalla and his Uptown Band for our family and friends. We wanted this to be a special occasion and Erich helped us surpass our dreams. We received countless compliments in our choice of band.
We were very touched with the way that Erich and other members of the band interacted with everyone on the dance floor, especially with Donna's nephew Ben who has Down Syndrome. You gave him an experience to remember for the rest of his life.
We are grateful for the outstanding show that Erich and his Uptown Band provided to help us celebrate our wedding day. -

Everyone was raving about them and how much fun they had. I think everyone stopped dancing to watch Jennifer KILL it on "At Last." They had the dance floor packed and even had my cousin who never dances, whip off his jacket and join in. Erich was amazing to work with and made me feel at ease that I had made the right choice. Wendy Sent on 11/26/2012I came across the Uptown Band when I was looking for my wedding entertainment. My husband and I wanted a PARTY, not just the typical DJ that most people have at their weddings. Our requirements made it hard to find the right band. We wanted to find both a male and female lead, a band that knew the most current and upbeat music, and was willing to either learn, or already knew how to perform the Hora - the Jewish dance where the Bride and Groom are lifted up in a chair. Typically, this criteria also comes with a hefty price tag, but the Uptown Band was a reasonable price with EVERYTHING we were looking for! They even agreed to travel to Virginia Beach, VA, all the way from Pennsylvania, for the event. A few weeks before the wedding, we spoke with Erich, the band leader, and he created a set list specifically for us. Their professionalism was beyond amazing. The week of the wedding, we received a phone call that there had been a serious accident and Jenifer was not going to be able to perform. Instead of cancelling or coming without a female lead, he had already found a replacement for Jenifer (and she ended up being just as amazing). After the wedding, many of my guests told me how great the band was, how they loved that the band was so interactive with the guests, and how they had so much fun dancing all night long! I highly recommend the Uptown Band!
