Highly skilled and very accommodating team of experts! :)

We chose Uncommon Weddings to cover both photo and video for our February wedding in Carmel after hours of research looking through social media, trying to find the best fit for what we want and our budget. We opted for their highest/most expensive package since it seemed worth it – and we were right! The whole team, Sway, Sean (lead videographer) and Camille (lead photographer) are very responsive from the start all the way to the end. Sean, Camille and their associates arrived on time, they were professional and worked seamlessly with all our other vendors. The crazy part is, I didn’t notice where they were at all during the ceremony and reception, but they were able to capture all the special parts, big or small, in a candid way that really captured how we felt during those moments! We also highlighted early on that our parents and our dog are very important to us, and it showed on our final photos and videos!

They delivered the photos and videos earlier than promised and are very accommodating with all the edit requests we had! For the photos, they already edited almost everything we would’ve chosen ourselves, we only had to ask for around 15 more edits just to capture a bit more and we are very happy with the results! Camille nailed our portraits shots too! And the team handled the colors and edits of those shots so perfectly, there’s really nothing much to ask for. 😊

Their video portfolio is the main reason we chose them; their style is exactly what we wanted and they didn’t disappoint! Our final highlight video is so beautiful, so well thought out, and it showcased our wedding in a way that we will truly cherish forever! The reception and ceremony videos are so well done too, we are so happy with the results! Sean really has the creative eye for this, and his vision aligned exactly with how we wanted our videos to feel. We can’t recommend the Uncommon Weddings enough!

Amazing work!

From the very beginning, working with this team was such an incredible experience. They were professional, kind, patient, and genuinely so wonderful to have around on our wedding day. One of the things we appreciated most was how comfortable they made us feel — they captured everything beautifully without ever making us feel overwhelmed or “on camera.” Honestly, there were so many moments throughout the day where we barely even noticed they were there, yet somehow they captured every meaningful detail perfectly.

Throughout the entire editing process, they were beyond accommodating and so patient with us. They were incredibly approachable, open to feedback, and willing to make thoughtful creative adjustments to ensure everything felt personal and perfect for us. Their communication and kindness truly stood out, and we always felt supported and cared for throughout the process.

The final video completely exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful, emotional, cinematic, and something we will treasure forever. They captured our day in such a genuine and heartfelt way, and it’s truly a film we cannot wait to show our future kids one day.

We are so grateful for all of their hard work, talent, patience, and care. If you are looking for videographers who are not only incredibly talented but also genuinely kind and easy to work with, I cannot recommend them enough.

Incredible Videography Team

The team was amazing! So many special moments were captured on our wedding day and it helped us relive the magic especially since the day went by so fast that we couldn't be as present as we wanted. Sway was SO helpful and accommodating with our edit requests when it came to our highlight video. He listened to all my requests and did exactly as I detailed. We loved the original highlight, but we were able to add in any additional clips we wanted during the complimentary round of revisions which made it even more perfect. We will cherish our video album for years to come. Thank you Sway and team!

Working with Uncommon Weddings was a great experience. Sean and his team captured so many special moments that brought back all the emotions when we rewatched our video. Seeing our day from different perspectives was truly meaningful.

Excellent Videographer Services

Uncommon Weddings made our wedding video experience incredibly easy. Sway was very connected with us every step of the way. He provided good tips and insights as we were getting closer to our big day and gave us updates frequently. Cesar was our lead videographer on our big day and he crushed it! We are very pleased with all our videos and must say the prices were very reasonable when compared with others.

Wonderful The Uncommon Weddings Review

We used Uncommon Weddings for our wedding this past summer in San Francisco and we could not be happier with our choice. We had a small ceremony on a Friday and then a multi-venue wedding on the following Saturday and we had uncommon videographers for each event. For both days, they were easily some of the most professional and easy to work with vendors of the entire day. We coordinated with Sway before the event and he was very communicative and receptive to any ideas or desires that we had. The pricing was also very upfront and understandable on their website and there were no surprise fees or gotchas. The videographers worked fantastically with our photographers and our wedding coordinator and were always in the right position to capture the moments that we had highlighted to them. They also provided subtle mics to use during all of our speeches. The videos themselves were beautiful and the turnaround time and digital delivery mechanism were also great. We don't have any complaints and can't recommend uncommon weddings highly enough!

Loved our experience with The Uncommon Weddings!

We hired the Uncommon Weddings as our videographer for our wedding in December. This was a last-minute addition for us - we decided later on in the process to supplement our photography with video as well.

Sway was very communicative from start-to-finish, and made us feel at ease from one of our initial conversations.

During our day, Cliff was our videographer - he captured all of our heartfelt and humorous moments. Cliff did a great job navigating our physical spaces and ensuring that he and our photographer were always in synergy.

The video and highlight reels we received were evident of how much time the team spent editing and curating the content. Watching it for the first time made us very emotional, along with our friends and family that we shared it with. We also received a very cool video book!

Thank you Sway, Cliff, and team for ensuring our special day is captured forever!

Great communicator, price, and quality video!

Sway was an incredible person to work with throughout the wedding planning process. He excels in his communication and was very patient with our delayed responses during the chaotic wedding planning process. He is very organized, and you can tell his business is structured and organized. His communication and follow-up is consistent but not overbearing. We were on the fence about splurging on a videographer for our wedding; however, in the end, we are incredibly grateful to have the videos he provided to us. Nothing could capture the day better than the videos Sway gave us on the day of the wedding. Sway’s to employees were very personable and great to work with. We hardly knew they were there the day of our event. Overall, the experience working with Sway and his team was great. The Uncommon Weddings package was more affordable than a lot of the other quotes we received and the product we got was spectacular. They did a great job with the edits we asked for and were very open to suggestions. I would highly recommend Sway in his team to any of my friends or family members getting married or wanting a special day captured.

Incredible Job - Fall 2024 wedding video(s)

Sway and his team couldn't have done a better job for us. They were professional, responsive and accommodating to all our requests. Plus, they suggested some great ideas that we hadn't considered.
They have an extensive selection of music choices to include, but we opted to let them choose for us - and we are really glad we did!

Sway and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Our videos were amazing! The communication through the whole process was great and we always received timely responses from Sway. We requested one small edit and it was taken care of immediately.

The videographers assigned to us were great. They were so stealthy, we didn't even notice them recording during our wedding!

This whole team is personable and really pay attention to detail. We barely even knew they were there the day of our wedding, and yet they managed to capture every special moment. Captured Beautifully!

Sway and his team really care about the couples they work with. From start to finish, Sway was always communicative about the videographer process and he always maintained open communication with me and my partner (now spouse!!). We were matched with Stephen as our videographer. Truly, our day was magical and Stephen captured it beautifully. We cannot wait to share our videos with our family members and we are so grateful to have found Uncommon Weddings. The uncommonweddings is amazing!

I would highly recommend Sway and his team for your wedding videographers. They were extremely professional, timely, and very responsive when it came to questions and details. They were always on it, and I never had two second dress or put too much thought into anything because they already took care of everything. My videos came faster than expected and they turned out absolutely amazing but we definitely use them again and again!! I have received so many compliments on my videos so far.

Would absolutely recommend!

The Uncommon Weddings was a great addition to our vendor team. Our lead videographer and his assistant were very professional and kind but also did a great job of blending into the background. Sway is also really great and helped to answer all of our questions. Such a great value, as well :) Would highly recommend!
Update: we had an edit that we were hoping to do and Sway and his team were very accommodating and helped us out in a very timely fashion. So appreciative of his team!

Uncommon Weddings has our heart!

This review is exactly one year late (how far can the excuse of running on Filipino time go?), but my husband and I are so happy we had our wedding day captured by Leo and the Uncommon Weddings team. As we celebrate our one-year anniversary, we are so grateful that we have these videos to relive our perfect day. The process was smooth, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. They captured our wedding and all the feelings attached to it, and it felt so uniquely ours. Many of our family members cried, laughed, and felt all the emotions again watching the footage.

Their prices are so worth the investment. I was appreciative of the honesty with pricing, and the flexibility of what we wanted in our package. There was one tiny miscommunication about what we wanted covered, but they made it right for us with no complications. The videographers on wedding day were so fun and loved how well they worked with our other vendors.

When I was researching videographers, I was afraid of getting a "copy+paste" style of wedding videography. I was so impressed that they embraced and captured my family's goofiness, our crazy planned antics, and all the precious moments in between. I highly recommend them to any couple who wants their unique wedding day captured.

Affordable, high quality and friendly

I'm so glad i chose Uncommon Weddings as my videographers! They had a great, affordable package, documenting my entire ceremony and reception highlights. The staff was so friendly and easy to work with and able to accommodate my needs. I appreciated how they were quick to answer any of my emails and questions. I didn't feel like i was ignored which is helpful during a stressful wedding planning season. They also worked great with my other vendors, especially the photographers. I requested an edit after the videos were finalized and they were amazing in getting that done quickly! Definitely recommend this team to other weddings.

Hire Them - You Can't Go Wrong!

The Uncommon Weddings was one of the very first vendors we hired to have on our vendor team for our September 2023 wedding and that turned out to be one of the best decisions we made! Cesar was our lead videographer the day of our wedding and he was INCREDIBLE! The communication from our very first consultation with Sway 11 months out from our Wedding Day, during the months leading up to our special day, from both videographers on our Wedding Day and even after our wedding was over, was UNMATCHED. We couldn't have hired a more kind, responsive, communicative, encouraging & supportive team. We genuinely felt like their top priority the entire time and it made working with them so comfortable and stress-free. I cannot stress this enough, if you're unsure whether or not you should 1.) Hire a videographer - don't think twice, DO IT and 2.) Hire The Uncommon Weddings Team - Again, don't think twice, DO IT. My husband and I specifically allocated a decent chunk of our wedding budget to Photogrpahy & Videography in order to get the best of the best. We knew exactly what we wanted/ had envisioned and when we say Sway & his team delivered, we're not exaggerating. They captured our love so perfectly & beautifully that they made it seem effortless, despite the incredible amount of work we know they put forth to make our dreams come true. Fantastic videographer!

Lasting memories!

We hired Sway and his team for our wedding in Monterey and we were very happy with the results! Our lead videographer, Carin, and her partner, Leo, did such a great job capturing our perfect day. They made a great pair, helped everyone feel comfortable and had such great, positive energy throughout the day. Fantastic team with great skills!

We cannot recommend The Uncommon Weddings enough! We absolutely loved working with them for our wedding. The on-site team was fantastic - they captured all of the important moments while working with our photographer to make sure they weren't in any of the photos. We got multiple compliments from other vendors about how great the on-site video team was. We also felt like the price was very reasonable for the quality of everything.

Our final video turned out incredible - we love the pieces they chose to add to it and the flow of the video is fantastic. The sound quality on everything is great, we can't wait to watch everything back for years to come!

They captured our wedding day beautifully!

The Uncommon team was great! They truly understood what we visioned for our wedding video. They created a beautiful memory we can play over again and relive that day as if it were yesterday. Their team was incredible as well. They had fun with our entire bridal party and made sure to capture all of the important details that we wanted. Another thing that we really appreciated is that they got along with our photographers and they made the entire day so much fun! It didn't even feel like they were recording us.

Amazing Quality and Service

Great Wedding Videographer

We recently used The Uncommon Weddings as our videographer last November and it was such a great experience. We had two videographers who were really professional and friendly and they made us feel at ease throughout the filming process capturing both candid and posed moments. So Comfortable and So Right

The entire experience with The Uncommon Weddings was amazing! We booked during COVID and had to change our dates a few times due to restrictions and they were so accommodating and understanding. We had constant correspondence with them and it made us feel secure and understood during the entire experience. We would definitely recommend them to other couples!

We loved working with The Uncommon! When we began planning our wedding and speaking with vendors, we felt really comfortable speaking with the team. They put our minds at ease, considering how we were planning our wedding during the pandemic, and made sure to stay in touch with us throughout the months leading up to our wedding day. Amazing experience

Best Videographers!

The team at Uncommon Weddings are truly amazing! Everyone from Kelsey and Sway who helped us with coordination, to Edgar and Richie who came onsite to do the actual filming at our wedding. They were extremely flexible and compassionate as we dealt with multiple COVID related wedding reschedules, which really meant the world to us. Then came our wedding day, Richie and Edgar were extremely friendly with our guests and did an amazing job making my wife and I feel comfortable as they filmed. Many family members including our flower girls commented on how great these two were! Lastly, and perhaps most important, we recently received the final edited footage and wow the team did such an incredible job! We are so very happy to have this footage to cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. I would recommend Uncommon Weddings to anyone looking for filmography for any event!

The Best Videos!

I cannot say enough good things about working with the Uncommon Weddings team. When I first reached out, we were not sure if we even wanted to hired a videographer. I hopped on a video call with Josue and he was able to explain the process and answer any questions I had.

In addition, from the moment of first contact, the team was extremely responsive. Their team is so kind and easy to work with. They sent so many thoughtful gifts throughout the process.

Their pricing is so reasonable and they offer many different packages for whatever price point you may be in. You also can always add on to your package. When we first booked, we only selected the highlight video, but after our wedding we ended up adding on an additional 3 videos.

Our day of team was Leo and Richie. They arrived early and were professional, but fun. They had us laughing throughout the day. The final product was delivered quickly, and we were impressed by our teaser, highlight, and full length videos. They captured our day perfectly. Incredible from start to finish

Highly recommend

This review has been long over due (we got married 02/22/2020) but this last year has been a whirlwind to say the least.

Searching for a reasonably priced videographer with quality work, is extremely hard to come by! After weeks of searching, we came across the Uncommon Weddings. We watched their videos, read the reviews, and we FINALLY got excited about a videographer! The prices are reasonable and the quality of work is AMAZING! We couldn’t believe it! We immediately emailed them to check availability. Sway was our first point of contact and he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to understand our expectations/budget and he made us feel like a priority. So after that first phone call, we were ready to lock them in for our BIG day! It was a no brainer!

Leading up to the wedding, Hoa was always in contact with us - which we greatly appreciated! Her customer service is top notch. Kelsey was also great! She help us with the last few payments and helped us get our raw footage!

Another bonus that we thought was pretty cool - they sent us gifts leading up to the big day! They sent a Starbucks gift-card, a care package, and a “Wedding Day - Oh Sh*t Kit” - which was super fun and cute! It was such a nice surprise! Especially in the midst of planning a wedding.

They truly go above and beyond for their customers!

Our videographers the day of were Daniel and Constantine. They were phenomenal! They took the time to understand who we were as a couple and what our expectations were for the big day! We loved that they were very professional, respectful, and got along with both of our crazy families at the wedding! They were such a joy to have and they blended seamlessly into the big day, making sure to capture everything we wanted. They are truly a Hidden GEM! We cannot recommend them enough! For any future video services we may need - they will be our go-to! Trust us! You won’t regret it! 🎉

As a wedding photographer in Sacramento I have worked with numerous videography teams. The Uncommon Weddings is one I will never stop referring. Awesome Sauce

If you want an easy, friendly and professional videography company my recommendation would be The Uncommon weddings!!! My videographer Jeremy was awesome sauce. He was so humble, kind, professional and over all a good guy! I'd want him again for any future event. Sway was just the bomb.com he made the whole process so effortless and easy and as an extra added bonus he's good looking ;) Lastly Hao made the final steps before receiving the videos stress free and exciting. Captured our wedding perfectly!

We had the best experience working with Sway and team at The Uncommon Weddings. From start to finish, they were friendly, helpful and flexible...we had to switch locations and timing due to COVID, and they were able to accommodate us and respected our guests safety during the wedding. The videographers were friendly, professional and were great at capturing moments without getting in the way of guests. And the end results - wow, amazing video, great editing, and beautifully set to music they helped us choose. We will cherish this memory the rest of our lives. My husband and I talked about whether or not to hire a videography team for our wedding, I convinced him to consider and he could not begin to explain how happy he was he did! Photography is good and captured all of those special moments of our big day, but our videos take us back to those memories filled with emotion every single time we watch them. They captured my day PERFECTLY!

I can not say enough good things about the Uncommon Team. As you can imagine planning a wedding in 2020 was not the easiest, they were so flexible with me and open to all of my new ideas. The team was so responsive when I emailed them and emailed me back right away. I was blown away by how great our videos turned out and how quickly they got them back to me. If you need a push to book a videographer BOOK THEM NOW! They are there with you every step of the way with the planning and all the events leading up to your big day. When the team arrived on my wedding day they were so friendly and respectful. My wedding guests came up to me and said how friendly and nice they were, they said it was so refreshing to meet people that were so professional yet so friendly. Awesome Job

The uncommon team did a great job at my wedding noir videographers were professional but so much fun to work with. They did miss one dance with my bridal party but camera need battery changes. You won't regret hiring them for your wedding I promise.

Truly awesome

The uncommon weddings were an amazing team to work with. They were on point with everything we wanted for our video and were very efficient. Having to change our wedding venue due to COVID restrictions the uncommon weddings were very understanding and we could not be happier with our videos! The video memory book is a must, so cool to have the video right in your hand. I highly recommend the uncommon weddings!

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience with The Uncommon Wedding Team! The whole team was quick to respond and super helpful in all changes and flexibility with COVID- 19. From the moment you book with the team, they make you feel special with little gifts and tips/advice on your wedding and even after your wedding. Amazing, incredibly magical video

The Uncommon Wedding Team was amazing from day one of planning to the very end of our magical day. The whole team was just incredible from day one. The team was always quick to communicate about any question or concern I had. They were very careful to listen to my desires and let me know where the cameras would be placed throughout the day. The team was amazing at getting different angles of the day to see as many perspectives as possible. The final product was delivered quickly and I was so impressed by the highlight video and the full-length videos. Brought me to tears!! I am so thankful to the whole team at Uncommon Weddings for making my day so incredible and making sure I can have the memories for a lifetime!
The whole team was kind, professional, and truly understood what I needed for the day. I would hire Uncommon Weddings again in a HEARTBEAT! They helped make our day so incredibly magical and I will never forget it!!

I love Uncommon weddings! they have great prices and they are super easy to work with! They were able to shoot everything I asked for and more! The day of the wedding was super crazy and the Uncommon team was the best and understood how hectic it could be the day of! Great choice

We had a really great experience with the Uncommon Weddings! I wasn't sure at first that I even wanted to hire a videographer, but after talking to family members, many of them expressed that they were either very glad they had hired a videographer, or regretted that they didn't! After that, we started our research. We didn't live in the same area where our wedding was being held, so we were relying mostly on reviews to pick our vendors. We loved the reviews we read for the Uncommon Wedding and we watched clips of their videos before reaching out. The team is very helpful and we felt immediately comfortable with choosing them. We never met them (except by phone) until the day of the wedding! We opted for a simple package with our ceremony video and reception highlights and they did a really good job! We watched it the same day they sent it to us and we were surprised by how many little things we had already forgotten about in just a couple of months! We had a great experience and hope everyone getting married will consider this team for their own special day!

Great Experience

We worked with the Uncommon Weddings for our wedding this past January, and we are so happy with our whole experience with them! They were super responsive and easy to communicate with. The whole team is very professional and organized, and you can tell that they really love what they do and are there to make sure their clients are happy. Our videographers were great and captured all of the important moments of our special day. Our wedding videos were put together beautifully, and I could not stop watching them! Overall a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend them!

Great value & experience

We absolutely LOVE our wedding video. I just watched it again right now to get some inspiration for this review, and I truly love it. Working with The Uncommon was extremely easy- it was really just one planning call with Josue, one planning call with our AWESOME videographer Michael, and exchanging a few texts regarding logistics as the day neared...exactly what we wanted! The team was so professional on the day of, and captured all of the important moments perfectly. I was shocked how quickly we received our video after the wedding, and they were able to make all of the edits I requested within a few days! I also am so happy that we get the speeches/ceremony videos as well...those will be amazing to watch for years to come! Thank you guys!

Beyond Expectations

From the moment I sent an inquiry, Josue and his team made me feel like the only bride they were working with. About a month before our big day, the videographer who was going to work with us day of had a change of plans and his partner was going to take over. This initially made us nervous, but Josue scheduled a video chat with the new videographer who made me feel extremely comfortable. Nick was such an amazing part of our day; his attitude stuck with us and our family. His fun energy truly impacted us and made us feel like friends. He also pre-recorded our vows which turned out to be a lifesaver as our ceremony audio turned out to be unusable. Receiving our video was such a touching occasion, Nick had used the songs we requested and the edit is absolutely movie worthy. If you want cinematic excellence with amazing people, use the Uncommon Weddings.

Above the amazing quality of work The Uncommon provide we ultimately chose to work with them because my fiancé and I are ALL about customer service... Fantastic !

Josue and The Uncommon Wedding Team were amazing to work with. From the first phone call with Josue, to the videographers on site at our wedding and then the wedding video... it was all perfect! We have a video that we will cherish forever. PLUS we got the video book and its perfect! Instead of pulling out our phones to show our video, we can pull out our wedding video book !

A tip of advice: I would make sure you are VERY specific with the videographer on what you want included in your video. We had live singers at our ceremony, and unfortunately the videographers were unable to get good coverage of the sound (luckily our DJ Mike from Creative Memories saved the day and had all the sound recorded!). Also, reach out to Josue and tell him exactly what you want included in your video. There was never a conversation before our video was made regarding what content we wanted. It took several rounds of edits to get exactly what we wanted. But in the end, Josue was able to put together a video that we absolutely LOVE!! Thank you again Josue & The Uncommon Weddings TEAM! Looking forward to you capturing my sister's wedding in MAY!

Professional, attentive and friendly!

The Uncommon Weddings did an amazing job and we enjoyed working with them for our Napa wedding. The quality of their work far exceeds their pricing and we are so glad to have booked them as our videographer!
