Picture-perfect honeymoon made easy!

Lauren and her team at TTM are professional, prompt, and wonderful to work with. We reached out to get some help planning our honeymoon. The intake and planning process was fun and easy from a client perspective - a quick intake call to learn more about us, our must-haves, budget, etc. and having a experienced planner's advice and guidance helped narrow down our options and guide us to the right time of year to travel. Lauren was patient, responsive and enthusiastic, and she answered all of our questions knowledgeably. When it came time for our trip, we received digital itinerary with everything we needed to travel, plus packing advice and other helpful tips. Communication was consistent and always available if we needed it. On our trip, our local tour guides were AMAZING and definitely a highlight of the trip. Planning was conscious of our budget and was very thoughtfully done. We did literally all the activities on our wish list and beyond, and we barely had to think about it thanks to TTM's seamless pro planning. For a bride and groom with wedding stress and decision fatigue, it was a huge blessing to let the experts do their thing and handle the details. It was the trip of a lifetime! Can't wait for our next big trip and can't recommend Lauren and The Travel Mechanic team more highly.

Fantastic Honeymoon

Fantastic, great!

We are so glad that we chose Lauren as our travel agent. My husband and I have never flown out of the United States alone together before so we were not sure what to expect. Lauren communicated with us everything that we should know and made us feel a lot more comfortable before we left. We had a fantastic time and was even better knowing Lauren was just a phone call away! She was great! Thank you

Aruba for our Honeymoon

Lauren was amazing, she planned our honeymoon air/hotel to Aruba and it was an amazing location right on the beach. We even had a small hiccup with our check in details for the airport but it was all resolved very quickly. Great service, will use again.

Amazing honeymoon

I was recommended Lauren by a facebook friend, and she did a fantastic job! When my husband and I dreamed of going to Paris, we had no idea how to do it. This was our first time flying overseas. I tried to plan the trip though Google, but I just didn't know what to book! Thank goodness I was recommended The Travel Mechanic as my travel agent, because I truly believe we wouldn't have made it to Paris without her! Lauren and I corresponded over the course of a few weeks and she made the perfect itinerary for us, keeping our budget in mind. We wanted to see a lot of sights, and she fit it all in! She booked personal tours, group tours, and coaches to help us get around. She found an amazing hotel which we loved. Her professionalism, and personal touch really made the trip one we will never forget. It went perfectly with the perfect ternary and accommodations. Thank you so much for a wonderfully booked honeymoon!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Lauren and the Travel Mechanic!! She planned the most amazing trip for us to Chile!! I didn't have much to give her other than a few places we wanted to go and she put together the perfect trip. She took into consideration we wanted to have excursions but also wanted some down time....it was awesome! Our hotels were all great. The hotel in Patagonia was beyond amazing…service, room, food…all of it was perfect! She checked on us throughout the trip and was available to answer a few last minute questions we had while there. She also ensured all the hotels knew I didn't eat gluten (which is huge for me being in a foreign country)! We can't wait to have her plan another trip for us!!

Lauren is amazing!! After helping us plan a great trip for 8 girls to Cancun for a bachelorette party....our trip unexpectedly had to be rescheduled TWO days before we were leaving! Lauren was on the ball right away. She was even able to wave any penalty fees with the resort. She is quick to respond and excited to help with anything she can. I would recommend her to everyone!!

The honeymoon was amazing. Everything we could have asked for. The resort was beautiful and clean. I think what Ryan and I enjoyed the most was having the butler service. We had Danele and Elsa and they were incredible! The room was spacious and so quiet. Our personal pool was not quite as private as what we would have liked, you could see it from the road and the villa next door. The water in the pool was also cold so we didn't use it but it was still beautiful to look at and sit next to. All the restaurants were delicious, are favorites being La Toc and Piton. Snuba experience was good, not great, but the catamaran tour and going to the sulfur springs and waterfall was well worth it, as were the massages. Finally, working with the Travel Mechanic is something I would absolutely do again! It took all the guess work out of everything and gave us a comfort level that we could not replace. We were confident in all we did and well informed throughout the process.

from the beginning to the end, Lauren was a joy to work with, and was always flexible in working around our busy schedules. She was very knowledgeable and always had an answer to our questions. The overall process including the trip was seamless. We will definitely be seeking the assistance of the Lauren and her colleagues in the future. Lauren made the honeymoon planning seamless. Both my wife and I had a lot on our plates besides the wedding/honeymoon planning and Lauren was able to help us narrow down our search, find a great package for our needs and get us a better price than anywhere else that we looked. She gets back to you quickly and has a great deal of knowledge to pull from. I would highly recommend that you make your life easier and plan your trip through The Travel Mechanic.

We had a great honeymoon.

The hotel in Barcelona was perfect. Right in the mix of things and very close to the excursion buses. We were a little jet lagged and we probably could have used a little more in the way reservations for dinner or even specific nightlife areas. The wine tour dropped us off right around 4:30 just when everything shuts down until 8 pm and the only food provided on the tour was charcuterie and cheese. We were hungry and because we did not have any real dinner plans we floundered and didnt really eat a good meal. Also the first night we were unable to get a real feel for where we should eat and we though t we could just walk around and find something good, but that was not the case. I recommend reinforcing folks going to Barcelona should set up dinner reservations before going.

Driving around Spain was awesome. The roads were all new, wide and empty. The tolls were very expensive and frequent though. I am not sure it was cheaper than taking the train.

San Sebastian was awesome. I highly recommend going. The hotel was perfect. They even supplied bikes and the city had a great series of bikes lanes. Unlike Barcelona, in San Sebastian you can just wander around and find plenty of good food options. The Pinxos were amazing!

I think we are torn on Segovia. The town was very cool with the aqueduct. We ate suckling pig, the specialty of the town, which was good. The hotel was a little ways outside of town and we had to take a taxi. I think we would have rather opted to stay closer to downtown. The Parador was not as nice as advertised. The view of the town was really cool, but it was not a really nice hotel.

All in all we had a great time and no real complaints.

After spending a few weeks trying to navigate how to travel in southern France during the summer on a budget, we contacted Lauren at the Travel Mechanic and are so glad we did! She worked within our budget and made adjustments as needed to create a honeymoon that we could afford AND enjoy. She was extremely responsive, flexible, and kind throughout the whole process. Everything she booked from the trains to the hotels went smoothly, but it was nice to know that we could contact her just in case there were issues while abroad.

The Travel Mechanic planned the amazing honeymoon we took this past April 2014. My husband and I knew that we wanted to do a beach resort but we were unsure about where we wanted to go and at which resort to stay. Lauren, our agent at the Travel Mechanic, suggested different locations and resorts to match the criteria we had for our trip. We ultimately decided on Sandals La Toc, St. Lucia, and we could not have had a better time! Aside from enjoying the incredible amenities of Sandals, we also went on several excursions that the Travel Mechanic set up. The excursions allowed us to enjoy the mountainous terrains of St. Lucia (through zip-lining and hiking), visit a volcano and waterfall, and go boating on the gorgeous water. The Travel Mechanic took care of all of the details, and we didn’t have to worry about anything except showing up to the airport on time!

We worked with Lauren Doyle at The Travel Mechanic. She planned our honeymoon in July 2014 to London, Paris and Rome. It was such a great experience overall, and we enjoyed working with Lauren. I'd highly recommend working with her, especially for overseas travel. We had our passports already, but she took care of everything else! It was so nice to not have to worry about plane tickets there and back, chunnel tickets from london to paris, and the extra flight from paris to rome while we were still planning our wedding. On another note, I'd also highly recommend this trip. The hotels were nice and in pretty central locations. Rome was fabulous and I cant wait to go back!
Lauren never left me hanging on emails or calls, which I really appreciated. She was able to work with the other companies to stretch our due date by a couple days due to the short turnaround time - so she was definitely working to accommodate us =) We liked working with her so much that we've already started reaching out to her with questions to help plan our first anniversary trip! Lauren, hope you liked working with me too b/c I'll keep coming back when we need travel! :-p =) =D

The Travel Mechanic planned our honeymoon to Costa Rica. Great service, understood what we were looking for and provided us several options of places and activities. We weren't the easiest customers as we definitely needed to analyze all options before we purchased, but Lauren was extremely flexible and updated our itinerary quickly every time.

The hotels she suggested were exactly what we were looking for. Especially our first 4 days, when we whitewater rafted into the jungle and stayed in this fantastic 4-star accommodation. Overall, we were extremely happy with her services.

We worked with Travel Mechanic to plan our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Lauren was terrific and listened to everything we discussed (and we had a lot of opinions). We came to Travel Mechanic with a few ideas of what we wanted to do for our honeymoon and she worked with us to narrow down where we should go. Thanks to her we found the perfect trip with exactly the right mix of adventure and relaxation - our number one priority. I would definitely recommend using Travel Mechanic. Lauren was so helpful, organized and informative from the very beginning. She helped tailor our honeymoon to our dream vacation! It was so nice to have someone handle our flights, transportation, accommodations, activities and dinner reservations! We were able to focus our planning on the wedding and enjoy our first few weeks as newlyweds without the stress of planning a honeymoon.
Her recommendations for restaurants, hotels and activities were ALL AMAZING and we had the time of our life. We will definitely go through The Travel Mechanic again for our next big trip.

Lauren was simply great! She listened to our desires and worked until she found the perfect location for our honeymoon. Upon our arrival, we had some complications at our resort and Lauren helped us make sure we received all the amenities we were expecting.

We used the Travel Mechanic to book our honeymoon, and Lauren was excellent! Normally we would plan our own vacation and customize it to our tastes and budget, but with our hands full planning for the wedding, we decided to email Lauren based on a friend's recommendation. I'm glad we did.

Lauren was responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful. We didn't know exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon, just that we didn't want the typical beach resort thing. After a 30 minute phone call, we decided upon Argentina as our destination, and less than a week later, Lauren emailed us a detailed itinerary with several optional side trips/tours (2 of which we included and were fantastic). She found excellent boutique hotels, booked flights within Argentina that would have proven a headache for non-spanish speakers like us, and arranged little things like a ride from the airport with an english-speaking guide who gave us a great layout of the city. Everything worked out incredibly well, and it was so stress free.

So while you could probably do all these things yourself and save a few bucks, it is absolutely worth it to contact the Travel Mechanic. Lauren saved us time and stress. She provided numerous side-trip options and customized our trip the way we wanted. She helped out with our visa/reciprocity forms, and just took care of all the little things. Overall, I highly recommend her and the Travel Mechanic.

We had an amazing honeymoon thanks to the Travel Mechanic! We stayed at Cocobay in Antigua, which honestly would not have been on our radar if it were not for Lauren. It was seriously the perfect place for us, and worth every penny! When I first contacted the Travel Mechanic, Lauren was able to set up a phone consultation to discuss our ideas on locations, type of vacation were wanting, budget, etc. Then, she presented to us 3 great options and from there we chose Cocobay! As a busy working professional, I became overwhelmed when looking at options for honeymoon along with doing a million other things for wedding planning. For me, I needed someone to help us narrow down options and save us time/effort. Our honeymoon overall was definitely everything we were looking for and more. The only complaint I have are at times she was slow to reply to emails and I had to send her an email several times to get a response. Other than that, I definitely recommend them to the bride who just needs to take something off their plate during their wedding planning season! Leave it to the professionals :-)

Great wedding planning experience for me and my guest. Neither my husband or I visited our destination wedding location (St. Thomas) prior to the wedding. The reviews and recommendations from the The Travel Mechanic was on point. Also, I had many guest that had limited travel experience and The Travel Mechanic ensured that all of their needs met. I highly recommend using this vendor.

Slow to respond

We were guests at a destination wedding planned by The Travel Mechanic. We used them for our travel and accommodations. We has issues with our airport transfers. Lauren's slow response to our issues resulted in us making our own arrangements.

Never heard back

We reached out to this site to help plan our delayed honeymoon to Costa Rica. Used their website to submit a query. Never heard back despite their website promising to “respond within 24 hours”
