Campbell Wedding November 2025
If I could give 10 stars I would .
We had the privilege of having our daughter’s wedding at The Tate House and all I can say is sheer joy and perfection .
It totally exceeded our expectations and dreams.
We had been planning it for over a year and we really felt as if the staff became friends to us .
There are so many things to say from the beginning of the day for the bridal party to have the wonderful cottages to get ready in, to the picture perfect pavilion for the ceremony , the conservatory for the cocktail hour with the exquisite chandelier, then the reception in the fairytale ballroom.
The send off with the lights hanging from the trees add a magical effect to end the night .
The flowers for the wedding were perfect and beautiful, Paul will go out of his way to design them just the way you want them .
The ballroom flowers and table decor and dinnerware were beautiful and elegant.
The food was out of this world delicious , Chef Mike really outdid himself .
Everyone said it was the most beautiful venue they had been to and the best wedding ever , they raved over the venue and the food and they danced the night away . The photo-booth everyone loved and was tons of fun .
I sincerely want to thank Cindy , Konda, Melissa,(our wedding planner), Paul , Chef Mike , and the owner, Marsha for all of their hard work and for making this the best night ever for our daughter and her husband and for all of our guests .
I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and help in making it a wonderful wedding and a night that we will cherish forever.

We would choose the Tate House, every single time!
Booking the Tate House for our wedding at the end of 2024 will forever be one of our greatest decisions! From our initial contact, to booking an in-person tour, and to securing our wedding date, the entire process went smoothly. We loved how Tate House took care of a majority of the wedding services in-house; only having to source our photographer, videographer, and DJ, was a huge stress relief! Not to mention, the grounds and facilities at the Tate House are STUNNING, and the bridal/groom cottages are a huge perk!
Weddings are an investment, and the value Tate House provided to us, was well worth it. We cannot thank the Tate House enough for the quality communication, for the ease of splitting payments across family members, for the high-quality food selection, for the most perfect floral arrangements and decorations, for the spot-on execution of the timeline, and for addressing any last-minute questions, comments, and concerns.
The Tate House team took SO much stress off our plates, and always fulfilled each request with the friendliest smiles on their faces. Cindy, Konda, Chef Raphael, Paul, Vicki, Cindy (Vicki's lovely assistant from our wedding day), and all the other incredible support team members– THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. We are SO blessed for the role that each of you all played in creating the best day of our lives. From the initial tour, through the entire wedding planning process, and to the actual wedding, we felt heard and supported.
We would choose the Tate House as our wedding venue, every single time. The feedback we received from our friends and family was nothing short of positive remarks, and we were able to leave our wedding with zero regrets and zero things we would change. Do not hesitate to book the Tate House for your wedding day, especially if you want to lessen your "to-dos!" -

Beautiful Summer Wedding at the Tate House!
The Tate House is undoubtedly an absolutely beautiful place to get married. As a venue it has so much to offer with a number of facilities as well as stunning grounds for photos and visiting. As a group, the coordinators and in-house team are unparalleled. We fell in love with this venue as soon as we visited. Since we were getting married in July in Georgia, we wanted to get married indoors (with A/C) but ideally in some sort of pavilion with plenty of beauty and natural light. The pavilion site on the Tate Estate was absolutely perfect for this. The first time we walked through the double doors of this space, my eyes teared up and I knew I wanted to get married there. Not to mention the gardens, terraces, fields, pond, manor, reception hall, and bridal / groom cottages! No shortage of beauty and elegance. This venue shaped the entire vision of our romantic and ethereal wedding. We also loved how many of the "vendors" are already included in-house for the Tate House. Not only was this wildly convenient, but they were all of such high quality! Our planning meetings helped us to cover and walk through all of the details with these "vendors" and it was great to knock it all out in one place. Highly recommend attending an open house at Tate if you can! It is a great way to taste food, explore decor, and an opportunity to envision how you would like your event to flow through the spaces. We also want to give a special shoutout to the wedding coordinators! Our coordinator was Melissa and she is the person who made our wedding happen. Not only was she the keeper of all plans & details leading up to the big day, but she was the all star quarterback for the day of. In our case, both Melissa and Cindy went above and beyond the call of duty. Two days before our wedding, an unusual summer storm struck North Georgia and knocked down trees and power lines all around our venue, leaving the Tate House without power. The Tate team worked around the clock to clean up any damage to their property and to do everything in their power to get the electricity back up. Day of, when we still did not have power, they worked tirelessly to make adjustments and concessions to move everything around so that we could still have our wedding, even if it looked a bit different from the original plan. Then, when the power miraculously came back on just 4 hours before start time, they scrambled once again to revert everything back to that original plan. I know that we were stressed but I cannot imagine the level of stress that they endured in order to still pull off the most beautiful, amazing, and unforgettable wedding for us. They did such an amazing job that our wedding guests had absolutely no idea that anything had gone awry to begin with. My husband and I walked out of the reception hall that night and agreed that our wedding far surpassed even our wildest dreams. It was truly the best day ever... and we have the Tate team to thank for so much of that. We loved our wedding beyond words and I cannot recommend a wedding at the Tate House enough! -

The Most Beautiful Wedding Venue Ever!
Oh my, where do I even start! There's so much to say! First, there is literally no other venue as stunning and absolutely perfect as the Tate House. If you think the pictures are gorgeous, wait until you see it in real life - absolutely jaw-droppingly, stunning. The house, the mountains, the property. It's a photographers dream and my wedding pics turned out like works of art. I got married there on 3.4.23, and it was hands down a real life fairytale. Every detail, every second of the day was unreal. The staff is 10/10, the nicest people ever. From the walk throughs with Cindy, to planning the wedding with Sandra, to designing with Paul, and talking back and forth with Konda; it was the most fun 8 months of my life getting to the big day. I kept Sandra and Paul on their toes with my type A bride mentality sometimes, and they always came through. My day ran super smooth and even when we had to rearrange timelines day of Sandra and her assistant we on it. Paul literally brought my vision to life with the most classical, romantic decor ever. I had guests for weeks tell me it was the most beautiful and best wedding they have ever been to. I love BOTH ceremony sites, and the gazebo was the one I went with. Stunning! But, the pavilion rain back up plan is the most EPIC rain back up plan ever. You have to see it. The guests all loved the social hour where you get to tour the mansion. It gives them something to do while we are off taking pictures. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. You'll need this part since there are no tastings (except if you go to the Feb open house) you can't go wrong with the food here even if there are no tastings. My vendors who had been there before told me it's the best wedding food. They were not wrong. We had the almond parmesan chicken, southern green beans, ricotta stuffed shells, and sweet potato casserole. 10/10! My guests were literally drooling over the food. We did buffalo chicken bites and asian meatballs for social hour hors d'oeuvres. The chef's choice was salmon bites, which we didn't love and requested no seafood especially after saying we had a specific salmon allergy and a shellfish allergy in the bridal party but we couldn't choose. But, it was fine! I got the Southern Classic package, which is honestly an amazing package! The photobooth - do it! The added 30 mins-1 hour - add it! You'll need it. One thing for future brides, which I knew about and no other venue would do so it was fine. The Tate House comes with a lot of rules. Like a lot. Just read through contracts and all the paper work extensively and you'll be fine. It's a venue that's worth it. One rule I didn't know about until 30 days out, was no one under 10 in the bridal cottage before 2:30pm, which made it difficult for me to have time to get hair and make up done for my flower girl. It ended up being fine, just be ready to have to navigate through a lot of rules that can mess with logistics a bit. Even with that, I still think the Tate House is the greatest venue of all time. I wish I can do my wedding there over and over. Having everything in house was a dream with planning and it still was not cookie cutter. My decor was exactly what I wanted. The whole venue is made for the most perfect wedding. Lastly, I want to thank the whole Tate House staff for all they did. They helped pull off a huge surprise for my guest with bringing the ATL Braves mascot in, they listened to me, and they made my wedding a day I will never forget!-

Dream Wedding at Dream Venue- A Fairytale Come True at The Tate House
I am posting this review as a recent Tate House bride, having gotten married last Saturday, 10/29/22. I can say that booking The Tate House was the best decision my husband and I made during our planning process, hands down. Every part of the process was delightful. It was truly the best night of our lives!!!
*Chef Scott outdid himself on the food, which I have received nonstop compliments on. He was honest and truly listened to our likes, dislikes, and ‘palate’ for our big day. He even accommodated my vegetarian requests and surprised me with a custom plate of eggplant and tofu for dinner. He also provided my bridesmaids and I with a delectable breakfast and lunch. There was so much delicious food. My bridesmaids and I didn’t spend a second wanting for more.
*Paul, the in-house floral designer, was fantastic. He truly understood our Art Deco Starry Night vision. When I had a small flutter of panic over design choices I’d made regarding floral elements, he replied promptly and assuaged my doubts and helped me tweak the plan encapsulate my vision. I did not feel like a cookie cutter bride or wedding. My jaw dropped when I saw the ceremony site and reception hall. Even my husband was stunned by how beautiful it was and kept noticing all the details Paul had pored over!
*Sandra, our planner, was a treasure. She made every moment worry-free. She was an expert and professional, through and through. She made me feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for. My parents and husband felt the same way.
*EVERY staff member was phenomenal to work with and I felt truly honored.
I could go ON AND ON about how INCREDIBLE the entire experience was. The whole day blew me away. Not a SINGLE hiccup. Do yourself the favor and have the fairytale wedding of your dreams at The Tate House.-

Fairy Tale Wedding Day
The Tate House created the wedding of my daughters dreams! She married her Prince Charming, in a Fairy Tale Castle with a Secret Garden, surrounded by a Flowers, Family and much loved Friends! This venue is SPECTACULAR and their staff (Cindy, Tori, Konda) embodies the perfect combination of professionalism and southern hospitality ! The ceremony floral design my daughter had her heart set on was not going to be easily achieved but The Tate House has a FABULOUS floral designer, Paul, who truly went above and beyond to bring her "secret garden / chapel" vision to life (staying within my budget), bringing the garden to the chapel complete with gated entry!
I toured at least 10 different venues with my daughter and although some others were beautiful, none of them could match the level of excellence of The Tate House.
The grounds are immaculate! Their gardeners deserve huge props! Not a weed in sight and every shrub perfectly manicured! I imagine, if Disney wanted to add a destination wedding venue, The Tate House would fit the Beauty and the Beast theme perfectly. In the ballroom bar area there are even wood carvings of beautiful roses throughout the paneling. Around every corner there is something special and unforgettable. The food is exceptional!
There are even separate cottages for the Bride and her girls to get ready and for the Groom and his guys! The Bridal Cottage is worthy of it's own review but you just have to see for yourself to fully appreciate how special it is.
A couple tips if you fall in love with this venue like we did:
1) Plan extra time for social hour if you can. There will never be enough time to take all the photos your photographer will want to capture at this incredible venue. You will need the extra time.
2) Expect to be kept to a TIGHT timeline. When they say the event ends, it ends. Time to go. This is not a party all night type of venue. Prepare your family/friends for an end time.
3) Opt for the Champaign Punch at social hour! You will thank me. It is THAT good!-

Hidden gem outside the city!!
Full-service wedding venue in the marble capital of the world! Beautiful architecture and plenty of space for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception! The staff is a tight cohesive unit that is always on top of every detail throughout. Parking is convenient, right next to the venue (some venues require a significant hike, Tate House does not). Any couple getting married here will be well taken care of top to bottom. They keep it classy and focus on the quality of guests' experience.
A couple notes regarding proximity: They provide separate areas for Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception, which are all very close to one another. Ceremony, and this is huge, is in a beautiful covered building with tall glass windows, a photographers dream! Rain? No problem, you're indoors! Cocktail Hour is upstairs and lends the perfect cocktail vibe with a separate bar in a room full of magnificent marble! Finally, Reception: The dining room is very classy and there's even a swanky bar room to the side for extra mingling, snacks, drinks, etc. After dancing to your favorite songs, the final sendoff is worthy of photos and videos, again, amazing views throughout.
If you're looking for an awesome wedding venue outside the city, you should definitely check out this hidden gem for sure! -

Best Day of My Life
The Tate House made my dream wedding a reality on October 16, 2021. From start to finish, they made the wedding planning process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, nestled away in North Georgia. It is so unique for the area, as most of the other venues around offer a more rustic vibe, which was not what I personally wanted. The Tate House was so classy and elegant. Furthermore, they were so kind and understanding during the COVID pandemic, working with us every step of the way including having to change our original date. Additionally, their pricing is very reasonable compared to other venues around the area and the packages can be customized to include exactly what you desire. They offer a personal wedding coordinator that meets with you multiple times prior to the big day. Ours was Gwen, who was absolutely amazing. She was always there is those inevitable times of panic to answer our questions leading up to the event. She was also there, working so hard, behind the scenes at the wedding to ensure everything went as planned. The wedding day itself was perfect. Even our other vendors made comments about how smoothly everything went. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and drinks. There was nothing about the day I would have changed, and I would recommend the Tate House to any bride out there! A few questions I had and worried about prior to my wedding that may help others.. #1 was the location, given there aren’t many hotels in the area. What we did was rent out houses in the neighboring Big Canoe area for the wedding party and recommended our out-of-town guests stay there as well. It made the weekend so fun and turned it into a multi- day event. There are also great restaurants and things to do nearby. The other big concern I had was about alcohol, given they did not allow an open bar. However, with signature drinks, beer and wine, it was still such a party, so don’t let that stop you from considering this venue! Thank you again to the Tate House and your amazing staff for giving me my perfect day I will always cherish!! -

Excellent service and value !
My Daughter was married on 3/20/21. The staff was AMAZING ! They went out of their way on everything, if I could give the a 100 star rating I would. Gwen and Brianna were absolutely fantastic !
From coordinating very detail of every minute to being flexible on some last minute changes they worked with us and made everything go so smoothly. For a once in a lifetime event for not only my daughter and her mom and dad they made it a day we will never forget and memories we will hold in our heart forever!
I highly recommend the Tate House - you won’t regret using them. -

Amazing wedding am the pandemic!
Our daughter’s wedding took place in the midst of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and could not have turned out any better!!! The staff of The Tate House was professional and eager to work with us to include all the CDC recommendations as well our own requests to ensure the enjoyment and safety of everyone in attendance. If you are looking for an elegant wedding venue, this has to be the most gorgeous venue in Georgia! From the pavilion to the reception ballroom to the mansion and the grounds as well as even the bridal cottage, it is all stunning and gorgeous in photographs. We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience. Because of the pandemic and the uncertainty of whether we would even be able to have the wedding, The Tate House worked with us every step of the way to make it perfect! They even allowed us to wait until the last minute to make final changes and payments because of the unprecedented circumstances.
Thank you for a beautiful and memorable day!!!-

The perfect venue!!
I recently got married at the Tate House and I can't express enough how truly perfect it was! The Tate House is an incredible location unlike anything else. It is surprisingly affordable compared to other locations around Atlanta and you get so much more than any other venue I have seen. Included in our package was an on site coordinator we met with at 6 months, 3 months and 1 month prior to our wedding. She was incredible and talked with us between all those meetings. It also included on site catering/chef who served the MOST AMAZING FOOD (still dreaming about the tortellini), on site designer and florist who created a lavish fairy tale wedding, a cake from a local delicious cake company, and so much more. I am not a DIY bride and the fact that everything was included and taken care of just made the entire process 1000x better. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, they have this amazing glass walled pavilion you can get married in!!! Perfect for my winter wedding. You can't go wrong with the Tate House. Seriously, go up there and check it out. You will not be sorry.-

Spring Wedding
My wedding day was INCREDIBLE. The ceremony was decorated so well, all my guests had a great time and my only wish is that it could've lasted forever. Tate House exceeded all of my expectations and I owe a big thanks to my wedding coordinator, Michelle! When things felt crazy, she was always by my side to help move things along or offer solutions. I loved everything about my wedding. -

Wonderful, amazing day
I planned my wedding at the Tate House for 2 years. It finally happened on Sunday October 14th. It was THE best day of my life. People kept asking me, "How are you so calm?" Well, that is because the Tate House gave me absolutely no reason to be worried! Coordinators, Megan & Michelle, are absolute angels. Cindy, their sales rep, is an absolute sweetheart. Paul, the decorator, works magic with the decor and flowers.. It looked absolutely beautiful. I have never received so many compliments in my life! I worked mostly with Megan and she is amazing. She responded very promptly and knew exactly what was going on at all times. I never felt like I needed to repeat myself even once. She was so willing to help me with whatever I needed, I just knew I didn't have a single thing to worry about because of her. The day went by so smoothly, if anything went wrong, I never knew about it or noticed. My single issue is the owner (I think her name is Marsha), who I did not meet once until the day of, so she stays out of the process until the wedding day. I received multiple complaints about her from guests (and even from my mother) about her attitude, which was apparently very sour and rude. However, the Tate House was such an amazing place for us to be married at! One sour apple within the hundreds of amazing apples will not damper my opinion on this place. You will NOT regret using the Tate House for your wedding, ever. It is heaven. -

My daughter was married at the Tate House in April 2018. We were thrilled with the venue and the staff. From the first tour with Cindy, through the planning meetings with Michelle, until the sparkler send-off the wedding night, the process with seamless and enjoyable. The staff are extraordinary. I worried about nothing and totally enjoyed the wedding day. Michelle handled everything! The food was delicious; décor and flowers were beautiful. And the venue is spectacular! The grounds, gardens, and buildings are immaculately maintained and provide the most beautiful setting. And the bridal cottage is such a special place for the bride and her party. I have not seen any place like it! This venue checks every box!! I cannot imagine a more beautiful place or talented staff. We were thrilled with our choice of the Tate House. -

The Tate House was the most magical place to get married. The staff there, especially Cindy and Michelle, were absolutely incredible and so easy to work with! My husband and I planned our wedding from a ship and they were able to work with us through emails and plan all of our meetings the six weeks leading up to our wedding. Our wedding day was everything we ever dreamed it would be. We did our ceremony outside even though it was FREEZING! The food was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, the entire team made all of my guests feel welcome and we had such an amazing night dancing and enjoying our night. It was all very affordable and the venue is absolutely beautiful! We look forward to returning every year to relive our wedding day! -

I was just recently married at the Tate House on July 22, 2017. The Tate House was my dream venue. It is an absolutely beautiful mansion in the North Georgia mountains. If I could give more stars for the experience I had as a bride I would. This venue and staff are 10/10. I planned my wedding in THREE months and it was as if we had planned for a year. Cindy, Michelle, Paul, and the whole staff were very professional and made my life as a bride with a short engagement so enjoyable, easy, and stress free. The entire wedding process and wedding planning was everything I hoped it would be. Each time I met with and talked to Michelle and Cindy they were professional and offered ideas and helped me stay within my budget and still have the most beautiful wedding of my dreams. I have been married almost two months now and our guests are still talking about how it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to. Everything ran so smoothly on the rehearsal and my Wedding Day. The food was delicious, the staff was so kind, and the decor and flowers were BEAUTIFUL. If you are looking for a classy, elegant, venue look no further than the Tate House. The staff will help give you the wedding of your dreams within your budget. The Tate House will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Cindy, Michelle, and Tate House staff for your professionalism. -

The Tate House was AMAZING!! First of all the venue is absolutely stunning and so accommodating. We paid extra to have the bridal cottage for the entire day and it was the best money spent on the whole wedding. Seriously, if you are considering it I would sacrifice other things in your budget to have the bridal cottage. The staff was AMAZING. Michelle is so organized and calm through every step of the planning process. I truly believe this venue is one of the best kept secrets in North Georgia.

You will not go wrong with The Tate House. I've lived in the small town of this venue and it was always my dreams spot for my wedding. Well, dreams come true! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. My 200+ guests were all raving over the ceremony, reception, food, etc. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect! -

When looking for a wedding venue, we immediately thought of the Tate House because my parents got married here 25 years ago. It is a beautiful venue in the North Georgia Mountains with all the accommodations you could ever need. Michelle worked very, very hard to make sure our wedding day was the day I always dreamed of. She helped me think through my decisions and offered alternative ideas if that was needed. If I could do this day over again, I would literally change nothing about the day and I owe that all to the Tate House. If you are looking to get married in a beautiful location in the mountains, my husband, family, and I 100% recommend the Tate House! -

Thank you so much to the Tate House for making our day extra special! The whole process was so much less stressful than what we imagined it being thanks to their lovely staff! Everyone I have talked to about our wedding raved about how amazing the food, venue, and atmosphere was! Michelle was the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for! She helped our day run flawlessly and helped relieve much of the stress off of us. The bridal cottage was a dream and was the perfect place to spend getting ready with the girls! We could not have imagined our day going more perfect than it did thanks to yall! We loved everything about the Tate House -

My husband and I spent 4 months trying to find a venue and we must have hit at least 10 different places (out of state too!). Fortunately, my husband somehow found the Tate House and I am SO grateful that he did. When we took our first step on the property, we knew we found our dream wedding location. The place is absolutely stunning. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding, I highly recommend this place. It's utterly romantic. They just built a terrace behind the outdoor ceremony too in case there were to be rain. It's gorgeous and although I'm glad it didn't rain on our wedding day, I wouldn't have mind the terrace. The reception area (indoor) has a beautiful marble dance floor and a gigantic bar (a plus for us!). Also, the venue has a 'bridal cottage' where my bridesmaids and I (and my mother) got ready the day of. We were given drinks, fruit and cheese to nibble on too. My husband was able to take advantage of the venue's 'groomsmen cottage,' which the venue had just finished renovating. Even though the venue was amazing, the simplicity and ease behind planning our wedding couldn't have happened without the help of Cindy, Michelle & Kelly. Cindy is THE sweetest, caring, most amazing person I have ever met. She was there with us starting from day 1 (which was January of 2015) to our wedding day (June 2016). She answered ALL of our questions and ensured that we were comfortable the entire time. Michelle was so polite and easy to work with too. She made the day of our wedding run smoothly and I never had to worry about anything going amiss. We wanted to include a small Vietnamese 'Tea Ceremony' during our reception and Michelle had no trouble coordinating it in our schedule. And I cannot say enough about Kelly, who helped us design our bouquets and set up the decor for the ceremony site and the reception area. I came in having NO idea what I wanted, however she was able to identify my sense of style and took care of everything. Best venue ever! -

The Tate House went over and beyond the expectations for our July wedding. First, they kept their word with every single last detail. From the beautiful flowers, to making my dream wedding cake that I pulled off of Pinterest come true, The Tate House made wedding planning easy, honestly. The day of our wedding there was a 60% chance of rain. The weather was gorgeous up until an hour before the ceremony. The staff was willing to move the wedding inside or to the covered pavilion, but I really still wanted in the outside terrace. Well, as soon as the storm passed, the ENTIRE (there were so many of them!!) Tate House staff was outside wiping down chairs and sweeping the ground dry so that everything was dry and beautiful for our guests. And in the meantime, the Tate House also kept the guests occupied inside the house. There was a beautiful double rainbow right above our ceremony, and it made for the most perfect wedding day. The food is exceptional, as well as the thorough planning that they help prepare you through. They thought of every detail. Kelly, who does the flowers and decor, knew my taste about five minutes into the meeting. She made my dream come true! I would highly recommend the Tate House because they are professional, worth your money, and they really will go out of their way the day of the wedding to make it perfect for you. -

I cannot even begin to describe with words how amazing & beautiful this venue is! If you're anything like I was and you see the word "House," and think "no way, overdone, and I want tons of space for dancing and something way more extravagant"--do not be fooled! Yes, it is a beautiful, historic house, and your wedding guests get the luxury of touring it after your ceremony, but it is so much more than that. Prepare for breathtaking views that will make for amazing backdrops in your ceremony, a large ballroom adjacent to the house that comes to life with an old piano bar and large dance floor, and a staff that will absolutely make you forget that there is 10,000 things going on that day. Cindy and Kelly were amazing at taking my dreams for a wedding and turning them into a reality, and they made it so easy. They asked the questions, I gave answers, and they ran with it and brought it all to life. All of the décor is on site (including flowers, Kelly does them herself!), the catering is provided, and so is the wedding cake! This made the stress of having to make sure everything was there and on time non-existent, and all of the food and drinks were to die for! Seven months later, we still have people talking about how beautiful the wedding was and what a great time they had. It was truly a fairytale wedding! I just cannot thank the staff of the Tate House enough for giving our guests and us a day that we will never forget. Please believe that you will not be disappointed with this venue. -

I have to say, Cindy Lupi was a joy to work with. Always had a uplifting, happy, encouraging, attitude. She was very pleasant over the phone the many, many times I called her, with many, many questions and she was very gracious in responding.
Kelly was also very kind and helpful. Kelly made everything run smoothly and very professionally the entire day.
Kelly also did a great job in recommending the DJ. (who was a 10+). Everybody in our family is still raving about the DJ.
As for the food and the overall set up the day of the event, it was spectacular!!! It exceeded our expectations! Our guests were wowed!
And our happy couple were overjoyed. All I can say is Thank You again for making our Daughter and Son-in-Law's day wonderful!
GREAT JOB TATE HOUSE EMPLOYEES!
Sincerely,
Donna and Brian Chizmadia -

The Tate house was the perfect location for our October wedding. You get the backdrop of the Georgia mountains but also the elegance of the mansion. We were so thrilled with our experience with the venue and staff. They were so helpful and accommodating during planning and we're all there to tend to you on the wedding day. I recommend them to anyone looking at wedding venues. They will help you with decor and flowers and stationary. You have a whole team there helping you create your fairytale wedding. The wedding coordinators on site helped through every step of the way and took our vision and created the most beautiful ceremony and reception we could've imagined. The Tate House took so much stress and guesswork out of the wedding planning process. The staff knows weddings and how to make the day run smoothly. The rain on my wedding day was accommodated for and turned out beautifully. Some of the add-ons we wanted were able to be purchased from the Tate House, like the cake, sparklers, and flowers. I didn't have to worry about coordinating those items because the prices were as good if not better than what I was quoted from other vendors. I used the preferred vendor list for a photographer as well and could not be more pleased with the photos! I was also glad there was something for our guests to do during the time my husband, family, and I took pictures. Many of our guests said the house tour was a one of a kind experience and they had never seen a marble mansion. The groom and bride cottages are spacious and provided an excellent place for our wedding party to get ready for the ceremony. My biggest suggestion for a bride and groom to consider when making venue selections is to understand your wedding timeline. Photos may run long or a toast may be ten pages, but the time signed for the venue is all you have. That being said, I didn't mind not being able to dance with my groom or friends for a bunch of songs; I was happy to leave for my honeymoon. -

The Tate House Gave Me My Dream Wedding
From the moment I stepped onto The Tate House property during our tour, I knew nothing else could compare—we booked immediately! As a very type-A bride, this venue was perfect for me because they have the planning process down to a T. Everything is so well-organized that I never felt stressed during planning. The packages (I did the Southern Classic) lay it all out for you, which allowed me to truly enjoy my engagement knowing the wedding would be perfect.
My coordinator, Kelly Eubanks, was incredible! She was organized, kind, and kept the entire day running seamlessly. The rest of the staff was just as wonderful—so attentive and helpful every step of the way. Paul brought my vision to life in the most stunning way; I was blown away when I saw the venue on my wedding day. The food was just as unforgettable—so many guests reached out afterward to say it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever attended with the most amazing food.
If you’re looking for a breathtaking venue paired with an exceptional, stress-free planning experience, I cannot recommend The Tate House enough!-

Beautiful Venue!
The Tate House is one of the most beautiful venues in Georgia. The grounds were very well managed and taken care of. I received many compliments on the venue itself. I love that they have their own chef and florist to help your vision of your big day come to life instead of going through and managing outside vendors. They do have a lot of decor to choose from for the ceremony and reception; however, a lot of pieces/items are at an additional cost and are not included in the packages which we were not aware of at the time of signing our contract. -

The Tate House was absolutely the best venue we could have imagined. We could not envision a more beautiful and picturesque setting. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect. Our friends and family raved about what a great place it was. We all stayed in nearby Big Canoe rentals which made the weekend even better.
Another great thing about this venue was the fact that they did so much of the work for us. We gave them a basic idea of how we wanted the reception to look and they made it happen without a bunch of tedious decision making on our part. We basically had to find a dj and photographer and they took care of almost everything else.
There is nowhere else I would have wanted to get married. I would absolutely recommend this venue for anyone for ceremony and reception. You will absolutely love it! One visit up there and you will see why. -

I just had my wedding here two weeks ago and it was incredible! Everyone was so impressed with the luxurious venue, my bridesmaids, vendors, friends and family were blown away by the gorgeous bridal cottage. OMG.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Not only was my wedding elegant, but my photographer could not stop talking about how great the place was and she's shot multiple weddings at the Swan House. This place gives the Swan House a major run for its money.
Most of our guests were from out of town and they were surprised to learn that a gem like The Tate House was in North Georgia. I am an out of state bride from Los Angeles, but my parents live in Canton, GA, so the wedding venue was very convenient for them.
My mom had so many good things to say about Cindy and Paul (the decorator). Our venue coordinator, Michelle, killed it on the day of the wedding, and her assistant Meghan was absolutely amazing as well.
Our guests at our wedding loved the food and drinks and have been calling my mom to get information on the ingredients and instructions for the drinks that were served!
Here's my honest review: Yes, the Tate House offers a venue coordinator, but do not believe for a second that you won't need to plan your own wedding.
The venue coordinator is looking out for the best interest of the VENUE not the couple/bride. It is your responsibility to source your DJ, photographers, videographers, ceremony musicians, limousine companies, makeup and hair artists, invitations and printables, find your own dress, etc, and create your own wedding timeline.
Every single thing that you see at the Tate House costs money, from the napkins, to the florals, to the plates, etc. The venue is gorgeous, but if you want to have a truly beautiful and luxurious wedding you will need to pay for the upgrades.

I had my wedding at The Tate House this summer and honestly have mixed feelings about this place. I feel awful writing this review but I feel like for the price tag there should be some heads up about what you're getting into. While the venue is absolutely breathtaking and can't be beat anywhere within a 100 mile radius, the staff left something to be desired. Almost every single appointment I had with the staff was cancelled and had to be rescheduled. I can understand once or twice, but it was very frustrating as I had to take time off work for these meetings just for them to be cancelled (sometimes due to a legitimate reason, other times because a bride that was "more important" than me needed to meet at my appointment time so I got booted). I was told multiple times I couldn't have certain aspects of the wedding the way I wanted them, so be fully prepared to give up control over your wedding. Also be prepared for add-ons in price. Like charging for paper napkins (???) and a "cake delivery fee" when your cake is included in the price. Don't go in thinking it's all inclusive because you will definitely wind up dropping a couple grand more on decor, flowers, and other add-ons. Also, you have to go through the "Tate House Design Group" for all your decorations, which were beautiful. You can also go through them on your flowers but I'd STRONGLY advise against that. I told Kelly exactly what I wanted and exactly what I didn't want. I showed up the day of my wedding and hated all the flowers, especially my bouquet and the boutonnieres. They were exactly what I had said I did NOT want, but at that point it was too late. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and well run (Michelle is the absolute best) and the food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Your wedding will without a doubt be classy and elegant at The Tate House. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and a great experience but for the price tag, if I had to do it again, I'd probably go somewhere else. -

Beautiful Venue, poor professionalism.
My sister got married here Nov. 5, 2022. First off, I would say the venue is absolutely beautiful! But, I would also say that their staff made my sisters day very stressful. The coordinator Sandra was so flustered & frantic the whole time. There was an issue with timing for the helicopter send off (which was one of their preferred vendors) She spoke extremely rude to the bride, she yelled and I quote "SO, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO" no help with solutions, alternatives anything. It was to the point that I had to go up to her and tell her not to ever speak to my sister like that again. She didn't direct us on the flow of the wedding at all. Also, multiple guest kept coming up to me asking where should they drops cards- I go out to the lobby, the bird cage is tucked behind the couples photo with no sign or anything, the guest weren't given any direction on any of that.
I do not want to make assumptions but, just go on their IG page, you can determine for yourself what "type" of people they are most comfortable with.
Also, the owner was there at the wedding walking through the reception and never once even told the couple congratulations. It was a very uncomfortable night for us. -

March 16, 2025 Kouame
I recently had the experience of planning my daughter’s wedding at the Tate House on March 16, 2025, and unfortunately it was not the pleasant experience we had hoped for. Wow, the venue itself is lovely with beautiful architecture but management left much to be desired.
First and foremost, I had several concerns regarding the food during the bridal tasting/open house, which I brought directly to Kelly our wedding planner. Both my daughter and her fiancé found the food lacking, and the cake was disappointing dry. During one of our meetings, the chef had promised us two new dishes would be featured during the tasting, but they were absent. When I expressed my concerns to Kelly she informed me that the owner had advised against personal tastings and shockingly stated that she will refund all my money. This was particularly disheartening, especially with only three weeks left until the wedding. It felt as if my concerns were met with complete, disregard I kept asking Kelly how did we get here? I never asked for my money back so my advice is to not express your concern because Kelly and the owner was quick to cancel our daughter‘s wedding.
On the day of the wedding, we encounter significant staffing issues. Kelly had assured us that there would be plenty of staff available to assist, but that was not the case. The lack of support was evident and added unnecessary stress doing what should have been a joyful occasion, Kelly herself appeared agitated and flustered, which only compound the situation.
Moreover, her behavior towards our guest was unacceptable. She was rude and dismissive, and I witnessed her being particular harsh to my new son-in-law insisting they leave the premise in an aggressive manner. This type of treatment is not what you would expect from a wedding venue of this caliber to make manners worse the owner was rude to my sister for highline a lack of professionalism
The owner never introduced herself to us. She walked past a several times without even noticing our presence we discovered that she was the owner because we saw her picture on the website. My sister, (bride’s aunt) said before the wedding started she had to go to the restroom, the owner said where are you going, go sit down. Very rude!!
In the Wedding, industry, hospitality and personal connection are critical, and we love, feeling disappointed by the lack of engagement from the owner.
Despite Kelli’s promise to check on us throughout the day, I only saw her once in the bridal cottage. This lack of oversight contribute to delay that may our bridal party late for key moments during the wedding.
On a positive note, Cindy Kelly’s assistant was a bright spot in our experience. She was friendly approachable, and genuinely helpful, providing a much needed contrast to Kelly’s demeanor.
Additionally, I had to ask multiple times for the card box to be placed out during the reception and request that Kelly brushed off claiming she was too busy to my disbelief. She had locked it away in a closet during the event.
In conclusion while Tate House has the potential to be a beautiful venue the overall management and service fail for short of expectation. The lack of professionalism, poor communication and disregard for our concerns overshadowed what should have been a joyous occasion. I would advise other couples to carefully consider their options before choosing Tate House for their wedding. A wedding should be a celebration, and I regret that our daughter’s wedding was marred by these challenges.
I hope the management takes this feedback to Heart as enhancing. The personal touch could significantly improve the overall experience for future couples. -

Dissapointing Staff ruining a beautiful venue
I need to share my deeply disappointing experience at Tate House. While Melissa and her assistant were kind and helpful on the day of the wedding, the overall execution of our wedding was a complete letdown.
We had a clear vision for dark, moody, Gothic decor, which the decorator that Tate House requires you to use, Paul, assured us he could deliver. During our 60-day decor meeting, we confirmed the color scheme and Paul told us we could get our vision within our budget. This was not the case, and I was charged more than their cheapest decor package for fewer items, in a baby blue color scheme, that I didn't get to see until the day of.
When we brought up the issues about 2 hours before the wedding (since that's the soonest we could see it and were aware of it), Melissa and her assistant assured us it could be fixed. Unfortunately, Paul approached me while heading to my first look and was incredibly rude, saying I never asked for said things/decided otherwise, which never happened. His attitude was completely unprofessional and condescending.
Coordination was great day of, however, I found myself having to reexplain everything to Melissa multiple times and resend the same documents over and over, even correcting her during the rehearsal. During rehearsal, she continually called my husband and I by the wrong names. Despite my efforts, on the day of, key elements were overlooked.
Alongside this, the reception decor was also a letdown: white tablecloths instead of the agreed black, unwanted pearl table numbers, and inexplicable baby blue and baby pink florals everywhere. When I voiced my concerns, they were ignored entirely.
After the fact, when we reached out to the Tate house to explain our frustrations, we were ignored.
While the venue was beautiful, the decor and management were abysmal. I cannot recommend Paul or the Tate House for anyone wanting a unique vision. Save yourself the frustration and choose a venue that listens.
