We had the swinging johnsons (also known as the Johnson brothers) play at our wedding at the state room in Boston in November of 2012. They were fantastic - super reasonably priced, easy going, great sound, and have everyone one the dance floor all night long. They really knew how to read the crowd and what they wanted to hear.

There was not an inch free on the dance floor. Need I say more?

The Swinging J's were the perfect wedding band for us. Both my husband & I were fans of them when we went to college in Boston. They were excited to work with us and were very flexible in learning a few special songs and making a set list to our tastes, and traveled to Newport for us. They read the crowd extremely well and everyone was dancing their butts off by the end of the night, which was exactly what we wanted. If you want a real band - not one of the over-produced traditional wedding bands - that will give you excellent music and real party, go with the Swinging Js.

Chris Marsh and the Swinging Johnsons (or the Johnson Brothers in front of your parents) are an amazing group. They had everyone up and dancing from the moment we walked in to our reception until the end of the night. They were flexible and worked with my brother (who is a saxophone player) to help provide the ceremony music. They learned several new songs to meet our needs for the Parent-child dances and they even played the Horah! Such a fun group of guys who are willing to play their hearts out when the crowd is right!

Great services overall, the flowers were beautiful and the attire was breath-taking.

We (and our guests) loved our wedding band, The Swinging Johnsons! They did a great job of getting our guests on the dance floor, even though it was an early afternoon reception. They did an amazing performance of our first song "You are the Best Thing" (by Ray LaMontagne). They didn't play a few of the songs that we requested, but overall we were happy with our reception.
