Wedding cake
Allison the owner of sweet peace was wonderful! So caring and attentive and does specialty cakes. We had a beach ceremony and reception at sunny Atlantic beach club which is right on the beach and I wanted a beach themed cake and it was exactly what I asked for and oh my it was soooo delicious too! If you want your cake to be just exactly what you want Allison will make sure it’s perfect! Thank you Allison for making my cake and my wedding so special!

This is now my favorite place with my favorite people and my favorite baked goods. You could not ask for a better baker for your event needs. My husband and I went in for each of our appointments because our experience at The Sweet Peace was hands down the most enjoyable part of our wedding planning. There are countless things to say about Allison personally, but for purposes of this review I will keep it to business. From the second you walk in, Allison is welcoming and hospitable. You spend some time talking through your vision and looking through photos, and Allison is fully with you. She is attentive to detail and makes everything come to life the exact way you want it. All of this is leaving out how perfect the cake tastes. My husband and I will be going back on a regular basis for their impeccable company and donuts, and will 100% go to Allison for any special occasion in our future together :)

The Best Wedding Cake!
Allison and her team at The Sweet Peace made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake for our May 2023 wedding. Having had Sweet Peace cakes at a number of events, we decided to reach out to Allison. She was so friendly and quick to respond to our questions. We discussed our wedding color palette with her and had the opportunity to try many of their tasty cake options. The floral design on the cake photographed perfectly and our guests loved the vanilla, chocolate and oreo flavors! Allison was even able to make a few gluten free cupcakes for our guests. Just wonderful!

Allison from The Sweet Peace is the sweetest, kindest human. She took the time to sit down with us and really go over all of our options while sharing in our excitement for the big day. All of the cake samples we tried were so incredible that making our final decision proved to be VERY difficult. We ended up choosing marble cake with strawberry banana filling. It was so so so good. I’m not a big cake person myself, usually I opt out to eat them at weddings and events. Not this cake! It was actually one of the only things I ate the entire day! I would absolutely recommend The Sweet Peace bakery to anyone in need of a cake, cupcakes, donuts, etc. The baked goods are top notch and the staff is so incredible. We will absolutely be using The Sweet Peace for all our future cake needs and parties. Thank you Allison, for making the wedding cake of our absolute dreams!

We're obsessed with The Sweet Peace
The Sweet Peace made an amazing cake, plus some surprise after-wedding cupcakes for us! Alli made us a cake we loved (gorgeous and tasty) and made me feel a lot calmer in the wedding process. She also didn't oversell me - she helped me pick a backup sheet cake for the guests so we could keep the display cake a little smaller. Can't recommend enough.

Delicious and Beautifully Crafted!
I highly recommend The Sweet Peace! Allison, the owner, is so sweet. I do recommend calling, not emailing her. When we sat down to go over our cake, she was very helpful and drew us a clear visual on what our cake would look like, how big it would be based on our guest count etc. I feel like most bakeries that are included in venues give you a certain amount of options to choose from, but she was very open to making our cake what we wanted. She gave us mini cupcakes of all different cake/icing varieties so that we could do our tasting at home and even gave us some more just to eat on our ride home. We ended up having a white with pink ombre cake and gold flake and choosing a Vanilla cake with Lemon Raspberry filling. It was so good and everyone was raving over it. She allowed us to use a cake stand free of charge, gave us some cake to go home with the next day and also gave us a mini one year anniversary cake!

You NEED this cake at your wedding
Hands down the best bakery. We worked with Allison the owner who literally took my vision over the phone and made it come to life! We did a two tier cake with coffee cake and maple filling. Can I tell you its literally like pancakes and syrup or waffles and syrup and was the most moist amazing cake, not to mention gorgeous!

Such an Amazing Experience
I have to say, they made the cake situation for my wedding such a breeze. The tasting was just dreamy and they let you take more samples of what you like. Talking to them was so easy, and they were always super responsive. She doesn't care more about money than making sure the cake is what you need. She will help you find the best financial option for your cake. I have so many food allergies (nuts, seeds, shellfish, countless others) and had no issues whatsoever. They even took extra precautions for me. To this day, I crave our wedding cake. They are so financially reasonable and able to do whatever you want. Our cake was just perfect and so beautiful and the whole experience was truly a highlight in my wedding process and day. I can't explain how grateful I am to them. It is something so small, that became something so memorable and perfect.

Allison (the owner) is simply the BEST! I am a procrastinator and Allison worked with me to get my tastings and dream cake completed only 2 weeks before my wedding! My florist wanted to charge $100 to put a few flowers on my cake, which I thought was absurd. So instead, I bought a few different cake toppers (e.g., flowers and leaves) from Michaels and dropped them off at Sweet Peace. Allison worked her magic and turned my cake into a masterpiece. It was simply GORGEOUS. I got so many compliments on both the beauty AND deliciousness of our wedding cake. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ALLISON AND EVERYONE AT SWEET PEACE!

Amazing Cake
I can't express enough how amazingly beautiful the bridal shower cake was. It just melted in your mouth. Everyone asked where it came from that's how good it was! I showed Allison a picture of what I wanted and I left the rest to her. It was the best overall cake and dessert I've ever had! She's a pro at her job and awesome to work with. Allison and her staff are on top of their game and thoroughly have their act together in running this business. Great admiration for a great team!

Truly Amazing!
Allison is truly one of a kind. My wife and I waited until the very last minute to order a cake, and Allison walked us through each step! She is a very warm and welcoming person, and she completely understood what we wanted- and was able to exactly replicate a single picture of a cake we loved. It was truly flawless. And don’t even get me started on how delicious the cake was!! Our guests were raving about it the next day.
If you need to find a baker, I assure you that you shouldn’t even waste your time looking elsewhere. Allison and her team are incredibly talented and very responsive to all of your questions and concerns, barely any time passes before she responds to your email!
Allison gave us what we wanted and helped us stay within budget, while giving us wonderful advice on which size cake we should get for our guests. Also, she gives you a mini version of your cake so you and your spouse can have it within a week of the wedding, or on your anniversary!
We love Allison and are so appreciative we found her!

My husband and I were lucky our Aunt and Uncle wanted to gift us our wedding cake from their favorite bakery. Allison was a gem from the moment we met her at our tasting. It was such a fun experience and I’m so grateful my aunt did this for us.

My husband and I are not big on cake at all. In fact we actually tried to negotiate not having one but then we went to The Sweet Peace and met with Allison for our tasting. Her bakery can accommodate pretty much every food allergy and restriction you could have (I am dairy free) and it all still tastes incredible! We didn't want a typical white wedding cake and after consulting with Allison and her showing us a few designs she helped us come up with something that was not only beautiful but very delish! Since I didn't want the entire cake to be dairy free, Allison accommodated my individual needs with a dairy free cupcake! Our guests also couldn't believe how delicious the actual cake was! We also had a fun tasting to try the different flavors of cake and frosting. Allison can really do anything you want! After raving about her after the tasting, my mom and sister went to her for the cupcakes for my bridal shower which was a great surprise! I'll definitely be working with her again in the future :)

Allison is the BOMB DOT COM. Our wedding cake is literally the talk of the century. All of our guests have been raving about how DELISH our cake was. We had the cinnamon with oreo buttercream cake... To. Die. For. I absolutely loved the fact that Allison makes a separate cake for us to enjoy for our year anniversary, instead of the one that sits out all day at the wedding. Allison at The Sweet Peace bakery was a true joy to work with. There were so many times that I’d end up speaking on the phone with her for a half hour... only to realize we hadn’t even discussed the wedding cake! She truly became a friend to me during this process, which made it that much more fun to design our wedding cake together. Allison was very helpful in every aspect of choosing a cake: from giving us a second tasting when we requested different flavors (the first set was equally delicious, we just had something very specific in mind), to sending emails at all hours of the day with her beautiful and thoughtful sketches, and going through Pinterest and Etsy with us when trying to create the perfect design (Harry Potter inspired) and finding a cake topper to coordinate. She even stayed late multiple times when I was racing over from work, and called me on her days off with great ideas she had! Not only did the finished product look incredible, it was the most DELICIOUS cake I’ve ever had: lemon cake with raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream. We heard so many great things about the cake all night, and even days later when I posted a photo online and people started raving about it all over again. One more point to mention is that Allison is SO truly down-to-earth, she made us feel very comfortable during the whole process and we had absolute confidence and trust in her. I highly recommend working with them for your wedding (or any other event!), and I’m looking forward to eating our one-year anniversary cake… which she kindly provided for us to keep in our freezer :)

We ordered a bunch of mini cupcakes for our wedding. The cakes were delivered early in the day and then set up by the vendor later that night. The cakes were moist and delicious. The icing was beautiful - we got the rose icing with glitter and pearl decorations and they looked awesome set up for dessert. Would highly recommend booking Allison for cupcakes. She was responsive, professional, and delivered exactly what we asked.

Our wedding Cake from Sweet Peace was AMAZING! When we went for our tasting everyone was so nice and did not rush us - they also helped us narrow down our selections (which was hard because everything we tried was delicious). We ended up going with a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and granny cookie (which had a cinnamon taste to it) and WOW was the cake amazing and beautiful. I cannot even tell you how many guests raved about how good it was - one of my husband's friends even texted him randomly at 2 in the morning (well after the wedding was over) wanting the details about the cake because it was THAT good lol. Wedding cake has such a bad rep - but boy did sweet peace change my mind. Would highly highly recommend!

If you need a specialty cake...go to Allison at Sweet Peace Cakes and her band of baking professionals! From the start of the process, to our cake and cupcakes arriving on our wedding day we had a blast with Allison and her team. As for her cake flavors and the "to die for" buttercreams, these are not to be missed. After the initial tasting (and sneaking in a few more tastings!) we were able to create a palate of flavors and goodies that reflected all our needs! Truly the best cake we ever had...as reiterated time and time again by our guests.

We feel so lucky to have found The Sweet Peace bakery to make our wedding cake. The owner, Allison, is one of the nicest people we've met during the whole wedding process. We knew from the moment we sat down with her that this was going to be our wedding cake vendor. She gave us a huge amount of samples to try, plus extras to take home to our parents AND extras for us to try again later to help us make our decision (everything is so delicious that deciding on the filling and cake was no easy task). Allison also worked with us to get as close as possible to our budgeted cost for our cake without compromising what we envisioned. On our big day the cake looked absolutely STUNNING - it was exactly what we asked for and tasted amazing. I am still hearing from people how much they loved it. We can't wait to eat our 1 year anniversary cake - which they throw in for free and bake separately from the cake so that it doesn't sit out during the entire event! One last thing to mention is that her bakery is 100% nut free - no need to worry about anyone's allergies here :) Thanks so much Sweet Peace for making our cake selection process a breeze! We will definitely be back in the future - you guys rocked it!

We didn't have a choice in bakery but we couldn't have been happier with the Sweet Peace! We had a crazy idea and I wasn't sure how it was going to over but when we met with Allison she embraced it and so we planned for the the cake to have "a tasteful touch of lego". : ) We showed Allison some pictures and explained what we liked and disliked about each one. She came up with a great design. She even took some of the Lego pieces we had that looked like bakers and incorporated them on the cake.
Some cakes that look too pretty to eat don't taste great. This is so far from what we got from the Sweet Peace. I normally don't eat cake at weddings but I couldn't wait to have a piece of ours! When we went for the tasting we were so overwhelmed by the choices. They were all so delicious. Normal couples probably go on their own to something like this but obviously we're not normal. We went with both of our moms. We cut each little cupcake into 4 bites and it was more than enough. I don't know how just two people could try all the cupcakes; there would have to be leftovers. We had not a crumb left! Allison actually packed us our favorites to go so we could go home and try them again before deciding. We mixed and matched cakes and frostings, with the advice of Allison on what paired well from the favors we liked and ended up with a delicious combination. I can't wait for our one year anniversary when we get to eat our mini-cake! We didn't freeze a layer but a mini-cake! Allison knows that no one really has room in their freezer for a full layer of cake so she bakes the couples a mini-cake! So smart! And since our wedding I learned that my friend's wedding cake was completely fake, except for the layer they cut and the cake that was served was just a sheet cake. Our wedding cake was absolutely magnificent. I was a very indecisive bride who didn't necessarily know what type of cake I wanted, and I showed Alli (the owner) a photo of a graffiti cake, and another photo of a sprinkle cake. Then I told her I liked gold metallics. Somehow, she brilliantly combined all three of these ideas into one absolutely gorgeous cake that had three layers of graffiti writing - all words describing us as a couple, and one layer of gold metallic sprinkles! She decorated the entire thing with blush and peach flowers to go with our color scheme of blushes and golds, and the cake was truly the centerpiece of our wedding. Every single guest came up to us and told us how impressed they were by the cake. We also had a groom's cake the evening before that was created to look like a basket of soup dumplings (the groom loves Chinese food), which got tremendous praise at that party as well. The artistry of Sweet Peace is unrivaled, not to mention they are an absolute pleasure to work with!

My fiancé and I met with Allison for our wedding cake tasting and brainstorming ideas for the design. She blew us away! What an amazing personality and you can truly tell she has a passion for what she does. Everything you could ever imagine for a cake tasting is what she gives you and then some! As we were trying to decide which amazing flavors to choose for our cake she started drawing up sketches and basically put my vision on a piece of paper. The final cake was gorgeous and delicious; I can't wait for pictures from my photographer. My guests are still raving about it and asking which Bakery it came from. If you want a bakery that gives great taste AND a beautiful cake to look at she's definitely the one!
Also, we have a nephew with a peanut allergy so it's very reassuring that the sweet peace is peanut and tree nut free!

We had our wedding at Bridgeview Yacht Club the first weekend of December. When we had our cake tasting, we visited Sweet Peace with something very specific in mind. Allison was very thoughtful and kind. She listened to everything we wanted, asked questions, and gave helpful suggestions. The cake we received on our wedding day was perfect. Not only did it look exactly like we dreamed, but it was ridiculously delicious!! Amazing job!!!

I live locally to the Sweet Peace and Allison consistently remembers me, asks about my family and the wedding, and is very generous with cupcakes. She even sent us home with a full box when I had to reschedule our tasting day of due to illness.
Our cake was beautiful with an elegant gold dusted lace pattern into the buttercream, and even better -- was delicious! Our guests were delighted with the cinnamon cake and hot toddy filling, perfect for our late November wedding.
My family and I thrilled with Sweet peace, and will continue to use them for special occasions.

Our wedding cake was PERFECT!
Allison and Alex were wonderful! They took the time to look through photos I sent and give us three different drawings to choose from based on the ideas we had.
I have not been to a wedding where guests raved about the cake, until mine! They all thought it was delicious!
I even surprised my husband with a groom's cake. We are runners and Allison was able to replicate his sneaker. It was outstanding!

I am so happy we found The Sweet Peace! Not only was our wedding cake beautiful and delicious, but the bakery is nut free. As someone who has had food allergies her whole life, it means a lot to find a place that really understands and cares about accommodating food allergies. My husband and I used The Sweet Peace because our venue included a wedding cake with our package through them. Allison was great to work with. She was very informative and helpful in putting together our design and choosing flavors, all while staying within the venue's budget! That's what I call great customer service. The mini cupcake samples themselves were so delicious and she even offered to give us more when we left! We recently got married and had our reception at the Bridgeview Yacht Club. The Sweet Peace was recommended to us by the reception hall. The cake and service provided to us was exceptional. Ordering the cake was the one thing we didn't think about until it was almost to late. We ordered our cake 10 days before the wedding and The Sweet Peace didn't blink an eye. They recommend ordering the cake six weeks in advance, and I do as well. Don't forget the cake! Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious. Our cake was buttercream design with yellow cake and Oreo filling. The perfect cake for the biggest day of our lives. Thank to all the staff at The Sweet Peace! Best wedding cake ever! We have baker in family and even they were blown away! I hate fondant icing but theirs is so tasty that I was just eating it off the cake. All high quality ingredients. We were eating cake week later and it was still fresh! The flavors were classic or you could go fun(we did a maple pancake and oatmeal cookie frosting with chocolate, yellow, and mocha cake). So many people asked for their info so they could order cakes too!

Our venue had a cake/bakery built in to our contract for our wedding in November 2013. The wedding cake was important to my husband and I, so we decided to explore other “outside” bakers just in case we found something better that would still work with our budget – and we are so very glad we did. Unlike other bakeries, my husband and I were not just a number at Sweet Peace. Allison sat down with us for over an hour, asked us what our vision for our wedding and our cake was, and made us feel like the cake would be a true representation of our day. We loved working with her and that was before we even tasted her amazing creations!! She was very straightforward with us about not paying for more cake than we really needed for our guest list and her pricing/fees were very fair. Our cake (chocolate and vanilla interchanging layers with cookies and cream filling), was phenomenal and one of the best parts of our entire day! So many of our guests were raving about it and we are dying to eat our top layer on our 1 year anniversary! Working with the crew at Sweet Peace was also easy and fun. Our cake was DELICIOUS!! The tasting was perfect! They were so flexible with us and we even cut it close by making our appt 2 weeks before our wedding. While we tasted a dozen different cake flavors and icings we went through her vast online catalog of cake designs. The cakes and frosting were ALL delicious and we had such a hard time selecting! However, it was made easy when we were able to mix and match cakes and frosting to make our final cake delicious and beautiful! She is flexible in design and has so many ideas to fit your day!

I'm not a cake person & more importantly I never thought that I would have a cake that would blow my mind as far as design or taste like what The Sweet Peace created for our wedding day. We told the Chef Allison to make the flavor inside a surprise and it was absolutely incredible.
To this day everyone keeps telling us how amazingly delicious the cake was. And the absolute artistry that was created was just a stunning cake.
As a wedding planner, I've seen many cakes in my lifetime. By far this is one of my most favorites and not because it was ours, but looking at it through professional eyes, the cake blew our minds. Just delicious and gorgeous.
I had a wonderful experience working with Allison & her Staff in designing & creating our wedding cake and it came out better than I ever imagined. I was blown away & I would highly recommend The Sweet Peace for ANY cake that you need done. She's really so talented at what she does.

Our wedding cake was so gorgeous, I cried. It was better than what I had imagined. The artistry and creativity that went into it was such a masterpiece. Our theme was Christian Romance - Faith, Hope, Love using the colors true purple and silver. We chose chocolate cake with a layer of oreo buttercream and a layer of black forest buttercream. So it not only looked great but tasted AMAZING. In fact, my guests liked the cake so much that my husband and I almost didn't get a slice to take home. Even if they did, Allison gave us an anniversary tier as a bonus to take home so we would still be able to enjoy our delicious cake. The cake tasting was very fun and in addition, we got samples to take home, how great is that! Her cake prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. Our cake was included with our catering hall costs. I wasn't thrilled with the cupcake style tasting but I understand you can't bake 20 full size cakes for a couple to taste. The cake the day of was gorgeous and very tasty. Our florist decorated the cake so we kept things very simple on Sweet Peace's end. We picked our cake in about 20 minutes and didn't think about it much before or after. We were very happy with the end results.

I think our wedding cake tasting was one of the most fun processes of our entire wedding planning! Alison was great to work with and immediately understood our vision. She drafted up a beautiful drawing of her ideas for our cake and made the whole process quite simple. The hardest part? Choosing from all of the amazing flavors! We ended up with 2 layers of vanilla cake and 1 layer of red velvet, with oreo cookie filling in between each layer and the outcome was nothing short of amazing!! My husband and I absolutely LOVED our wedding cake! It was incredibly gorgeous and even better, it was the BEST tasting wedding cake I have EVER eaten! How did Allison and her team at The Sweet Peace create something so beautiful that tasted so delicious? Our wedding cake was inspired by Gatsby’s art deco style and Allison realized our vision to perfection. Our three layer cake was a different texture on each layer, solid gold bottom, ribbed white middle, and gold sugar pearl design top, all crafted of buttercream so it tasted as good as it looked. We are a traditional couple and expected to go with a simple flavor that all our guests would enjoy but after an amazing tasting with our moms we ended up going with strawberry banana and Oreo cream fillings that paired perfectly and was loved by all. It was excellent to work with Allison, she was communicative via email, came up with a variety of sketches for us to choose from and every time we went to the shop we left full of sweet treats. Her price was very reasonable and the cakes was delivered on our wedding day with plenty of time. I was also really happy that her bakery is nut free as one of my groomsman has a peanut allergy and was able to enjoy our showpiece cake with us.

We met with the Sweet Peace about six months before the wedding and we loved them right away. The tasting was awesome; 24 mini cupcakes of different combos! It was delicious and we chose cinnabon for our wedding cake. The wedding cake was beautiful, however I was slightly bothered because I had a very specific color scheme of cream and blush. I made note of the fact that it said cream and blush on our contract with the Sweet Peace, and some of the sugar flowers on our cake were more bright peach and orange-y. It's really not a big deal, and I'm sure no one noticed but me, but because it was out of our color scheme, it did dampen my love of the wedding cake a little. That being said, Allison (the chef) was great and I would still recommend them.

Our venue purchased our wedding cake from The Sweet Peace so we went there to design the cake and couldn't have been happier! Allison gave us many mini cupcakes to taste in different flavors and combinations which was great. Her guidance on flavor combinations led to our amazing marble wedding cake with fresh strawberries and oreo icing. We couldn't have been happier, and to make matters better, with the design we wanted, we didn't even exceed the budge that we were allotted from our venue, so didn't need to spend any additional money to get exactly what we wanted. We'd definitely suggest this baker and hope to have future events soon that we can purchase cakes for!

Working with the ladies of Sweet Peace was a dream. I instantly bonded with them and felt confident in booking them as my cake-makers. We worked on several designs and came in for a tasting. Everything was delicious! They use all natural ingredients, no lard or fake stuff and you can really taste it in the cakes. One thing did bother me about the cake on day-of -- there was gold fondant work that was done pretty..amatuerishly. I was shocked at the final result of the geometric fondant work. I am guessing they had some last minute limitations and did the best they could. I noticed that my cake never appeared on any of their social media (and I chose not to print any of the pics) so I am thinking they knew as well. I would absolutely work with them again but perhaps not for a cake that needed fondant work.

Not all what I was promised. First meeting they were very engaging and friendly. Once hired, it all changed. The wedding cake design did not match what we discussed. The design that I was emailed was elaborate and beautiful.
The day of my reception the cake design looked as if they did not bother. The design was amateur and the monogram looked horrible. I was crushed. This is supposed to be my beautiful wedding cake.
I was incredibly disappointed. My husband and I felt like we had been swindled.
The cake tasted good, but the design was awful, not fit for an elegant wedding.
I would not recommend them to do your wedding cake.
We were surprisingly dissapointed with the end result.

The wedding cake was important to my husband and I, so we decided to explore other “outside” bakers just in case we found something better that would still work with our budget – and we are so very glad we did. Unlike other bakeries, my husband and I were not just a number at Sweet Peace. Allison sat down with us for over an hour, asked us what our vision for our wedding and our cake was, and made us feel like the cake would be a true representation of our day. We loved working with her and that was before we even tasted her amazing creations!! She was very straightforward with us about not paying for more cake than we really needed for our guest list and her pricing/fees were very fair. Our cake (chocolate and vanilla interchanging layers with cookies and cream filling), was phenomenal and one of the best parts of our entire day! So many of our guests were raving about it and we are dying to eat our top layer on our 1 year anniversary! Working with the crew at Sweet Peace was also easy and fun. Thank you Allison for making our day even sweeter! We know where to go whenever we need a special cake from now on! Thank you, thank you!
