The Summit really is as good as it seems!
I can't believe how fast the last year has gone, but I still remember first passing The Summit after taking our dog to the Middlegrounds Dog Park. We looked up reviews to see what it was all about and couldn't find a single bad review. When we met Becky for the first time, I literally asked if she paid people for their good reviews, but it turns out she's really just THAT GOOD! Becky was always super responsive, willing to answer questions (sometimes a couple of times because bride brain), and so enthusiastic to help plan our special day. She's an amazing leader, and everyone who works for The Summit had a clear admiration for her as well. All of our vendors all expressed how great Becky was to work with as well. I honestly feel that Becky was one of the key reasons why we were able to enjoy our wedding day so freely, because she does such a good job of organizing all of the moving parts. On top of having Becky to help plan your day, The Summit itself is a beautiful venue that is so centrally located. The fact that you can plan an event/wedding in a downtown area for the price that we did is insane! We found the price to be comparable or even less than your run of the mill, boring, reception halls. The Summit had a modern, classic vibe and they have a basement full of centerpieces and decor to choose from (for free) to jazz up your event! We loved going to the monthly tastings, and we chose food that everyone (even the biggest critics) raved about! At each monthly tasting we were able to meet the wonderful bar manager, who was also there on our big day! As you can tell, I can't say enough good things about our experience with The Summit. If you choose this venue, I promise you won't regret it! -

Was an amazing night!
Becky and her staff were absolutely amazing! They made sure we had everything and kept checking on us all night! We had a few hiccups with the dj and some guests but Becky and her staff handled everything so well and made it to where I didn’t have to stress out to much😂! -

Wedding event
I’m so happy that we chose the summit as our wedding ceremony and reception venue. We were so happy with the location, the price, the amazing staff, the food. They made everything seem so easy for us and were there to answer any questions we had and to make sure our event came out the way we wanted it. The staff really went above and beyond for us!!!! Even if all we needed was a little pep talk from time to time, they were there!! Our wedding was perfect to us!-

Amazing Venue
The Summit was an absolutely amazing venue and we loved every part of having our wedding and reception there. We got engaged in May 2021 and this was the only venue we looked at before deciding it was the one for us. Between looking at the venue in July 2021, and our wedding in December 2022, Becky and the rest of the staff were always available to answer questions, meet if needed, and give advice when asked. We received an immense amount of compliments from our guests about the food, the location, and the look of the venue. We would not change a single thing about having our wedding at The Summit in downtown Toledo! -

Beautiful venue and amazing people
From the first meeting, the staff was great. They offered monthly tasting opportunities to taste multiple delicious meals. The manager Becky was great to work with. Amy the bartender was great at finding us signature drinks and suggestions for drinks. My guests said the food and service was the best they’d had at any wedding. The ease of having the venue take care of catering and bar was a load off my mind. The venue is beautiful and many options to customize. They also make available a great selection of decor to help with decorating.-

A dream come true!!!!!
Hands down the best decision we could have made throughout the entire process of wedding planning, was choosing the Summit. From start to finish, they made sure EVERY single request we had, was fulfilled! Our dream wedding was brought to life and the staff had every part in doing so! From Becky’s incredible personality, making sure she was right there to answer any questions, to making sure we always had what we needed. To Emma being the sweetest and most helpful while we set up the venue. To the bar tenders, making sure our guests were always satisfied with the drinks. I could go on and on. There wasn’t a single staff member who didn’t go out of their way to get us anything we needed. If you’re looking for a venue who will truly accommodate anything you could possibly imagine to make your wedding day, your dream wedding, look no further!!!! The Summit is it!! -

Great experience, wonderful staff
The staff at the Summit provided a smooth, seamless experience for us. Our wedding day went without a hitch and the staff was extremely attentive, professional and fun! We were well informed throughout the planing process and were able to have frequent check-ins through their monthly meal tastings. We recommend this venue to anyone seeking a location for an event! -

Simply the best!
Becky was a joy to work with along with her husband Jay (my amazing DJ), who assisted us in planning our wedding. They made the process of planning a wedding very memorable and as easy as it could be. My husband and I highly recommend Becky and the facility of the Summit to any couple. They were also extremely flexible and accommodating to our schedules and likes. -

September Wedding
Due to COVID my husband and I chose this venue as it was a larger space. We were super please with everything. Staff was kind, flexible and responsive to all of our needs. The monthly tastings were great to be able to decide what we wanted. Pricing for all inclusive was reasonable as well. Super happy with this venue. -

Couldn’t have dreamt of a better experience!
First of all Becky was literally the most amazing person to work with. I was a COVID bride. Originally was supposed to get married june 6th of 2020 and had to push it back. We ended up getting married August 29th. At that time everything was still so unsure. Becky did everything to make sure that we still got the day we were dreaming of and it was! From the beginning any questions or concerns I had, all I had to do is shoot her an email and she was super responsive, very accommodating and truly a God sent. The cost of the venue for everything we got honestly great too! I had zero complaints. She took care of everything from setting up to tearing down and cleaning. Everything she did for us during this time was so wonderful and I am so thankful that we chose The Summit as our reception venue because it truly was unforgettable! And HUGE THANKS to Becky and her staff for everything, I mean truly. You’ll never know how much it meant to us to have the day we dreamed of in the middle of a Pandemic while still keeping everyone safe💕-

Would do it all again!
Becky at the Summit was astounding to work with. Very friendly and great and walking us through everything. We picked the Summit because they provided so much of the extras and that was a HUGE lifesaver. Not having to worry about finding other vendors for food, bar, service, linens, etc... (even additional decorations!) made everything so simple. Speaking of food, they provided free monthly tastings so you could try a ton of different menu options before making a decision, and we are so grateful they did. We ended up with things we didn't expect but they were absolute crowd pleasers! If given the chance to do it all again, I would ABSOLUTELY use the Summit again! -

Professional and Helpful Service
I would highly recommend The Summit to anyone planning a wedding (we used them in a slightly out of the ordinary way due to COVID). We originally booked the Summit as our wedding venue and due to COVID, decided we did not feel comfortable holding our reception indoors, as it seems most people are deciding to do. Before COVID, The Summit hosts monthly tastings to choose your food on the day, and it was like a mini date night every month for my husband and I to attend. Once COVID hit, we had already paid a significant amount in deposits to The Summit. When we decided not to host our reception there, we were fully expecting to lose that deposit. However, Becky was the most helpful and amazing person and offered to provide services off-site for us. We decided to do a tent reception outdoors and Becky provided servers, a bartender, linens, and lighting for our tent. These are all things we would have had to re-book and pay for. The servers they brought were helpful and professional, and our lighting and linens looked amazing. Becky was prompt and helpful in all of her communication throughout the past year and a half and even though we didn't get to host our reception in their amazing space, I would recommend their services again and again! -

Hands down the best decision made about my wedding!
Every single aspect of my experience with The Summit was absolutely AMAZING! Becky, was a saving grace to my (now) husband and I. She was attentive, easy to get a hold of, and felt like an old friend to me. She truly cared about our wedding and our satisfaction with the day. Not at one point did I ever have doubts or worries about our wedding day knowing that Becky and the rest of the wonderful staff at The Summit were handling the day. Becky stayed through nearly the entire reception and made sure that we had whatever we needed the entire night! She not only catered to my Husband and I but our families as well!! This venue is modern, clean, and beautiful. It really captures the beauty of downtown Toledo and is a great setting for a fun and beautiful wedding reception. I just can't say enough amazing things about my experience and if you get the chance to work with this awesome establishment, you will never regret it!!! -

AMAZING experience with the Summit! Best vendor we worked with
Becky at the Summit is by far the best vendor we worked with throughout our entire wedding planning experience! She was extremely nice, answered emails quickly, and even made other vendor suggestions for ceremony location, photographer..etc. We had our wedding at the end of September on a Friday with two downtown concerts going on the same night. Becky made us feel very special and made sure the night ran smoothly, including helping with parking. They also do monthly tastings where you can go to try their food menu, this was something we had never heard of, but something we absolutely loved and will miss now that the wedding is over! It gave us a chance to sample the food before picking our final menu and it was a fun date night during the process.
The Summit itself looks very classy and made everything look amazing for decorations with her crew setting up tables and place settings. She works closely with tables by design for decorating the lighted tables and stage displays as well as table covers and sashes and made sure everything was how we wanted it!
Her staff was very professional and friendly and made sure we had drinks and our guests were well taken care of for food and beverages through out the night. They even cut our cake for us! With 70 guests plus a DJ, a photobooth, dance floor, and two photographers we had plenty of room to move around and mingle!
The dance floor and atmosphere with the Summits updated light systems are great! You can change the lights between dinner and dancing for the evening and they even come in different colors! They also have bar lights, and several TVs to display pictures on! we used them for slideshows and a welcome screen
Booking the Summit for our wedding was by far the best and easiest decision we made throughout our wedding planning. We absolutely loved Becky and enjoyed our special night at the Summit! Be sure to check them out for your event, you'll be glad you did! -

Phenomenal job
We booked with the summit Almost two years ago! Becky has always been wonderful, she was always on top of everything and made my experience top notch! I can’t even try to summarize my experience because it was so great! Food was tasty and my guest still talk about it. My wedding party and I all had drinks on our table made from the bar before we even sat down! Becky coordinated my wedding to the point I’m pretty positive nothing went wrong! I swear I’m sad that my wedding is over because I feel like I’m breaking up with the summit! So if you are looking for a venue in the Toledo area look no further!!!! THIS IS THE PLACE AND YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! -

We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out at The Summit with Becky Kessler as our coordinator. When planning our wedding, we toured quite a few venues in the Toledo area and met with all of their wedding coordinators. Nowhere in Toledo has a coordinator that is as wonderful to work with as Becky, and we frankly cannot say enough about how thankful we are for her. She goes above and beyond consistently from your first introductory tour until the end of your wedding. Along the way in all of the stages of planning, Becky’s communication is excellent, and she will answer all of your questions both timely and thoroughly. We were very thorough planners with many requests and details to our wedding ceremony, yet she always figured out a way to accommodate these wishes and consistently went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams a reality. At the same time, she always knew when to offer advice and her expertise.
Besides the impressive and modern event space that is The Summit, one of our favorite things about this venue was the free monthly food tasting events. These were such excellent ways to taste a huge variety of foods, invite family and friends to get a sneak peak of our venue, ask Becky planning questions, and preview which linens we would like to choose for our wedding. Another thing we loved about The Summit is Becky’s basement of wedding decorations. Becky always is happy to let you look through her huge collections of centerpieces, glassware, and decorations and allows you to use whatever you would like for free on your wedding day. The best part is, Becky and her employees will save you the wedding day stress and set up any of these decorations for you exactly how you would like them.
Becky also has a lot of great business partners in planning your wedding to save you money and make your planning much easier. For example, your linens, lighting, DJ, and cake can all be arranged by Becky and included in a package. We highly recommend the Enchanted Evening package as it included our cake, the top shelf bar package, champagne for every table, and chair covers, all for an unbelievable price. Your money goes so far at The Summit. Also, Becky will arrange for an amazing group rate for your guests at the Park Inn across the street.
It has been over a month since our wedding, and our family and friends are still talking to us about how much they enjoyed it. They loved how beautiful our venue was decorated, how well the staff took care of them, and how smoothly everything went thanks to Becky’s calm and experienced coordination all day. Best day ever

Fantastic! Everything went exactly as I planned!
Becky is extremely helpful in making sure things go smoothly for you. When you first agree to your reception here she gives you a folder of vendors which helps you kind of get planning started. They have a big menu of food and we instantly knew what we wanted. However after attending the tastings every month we ended up choosing something entirely different!! Definitely would recommend!! Loved it there and our night was perfect!! -

Best bang for your buck!
The venue is newly renovated in the heart of Toledo. For the pricepoint around town at comparable rates, this is by far the best. Becky alone is worth it! Very helpful throughout the process and incredibly flexible. We loved every second of planning with the summit, especially their monthly tastings. -

Amazing Experience
The Summit was hands down the best choice in venue for our Wedding. The space was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect size for the amount of guests that we had. The management staff was exceptional! Becky, who is the manager of the Summit, went above and beyond to help accommodate us in any way she could, and all of her efforts were greatly appreciated. Not only did she help us through the planning and setting up process, she was absolutely wonderful the day of by making she that we had everything we needed during the reception. 10/10 for our experience with The Summit! Anyone who needs a venue, this is your spot! -

The perfect experience
We just had our wedding reception here this past weekend and everything went exactly how we wanted it to, we really couldn’t have asked for more. Becky and her staff were amazing to work with, always there with a quick response whenever I had a question. The packages here are hard to beat and with everything being included it takes SO much stress out of trying to find and coordinate multiple vendors. We had about 50 guests and I was originally afraid that we’d feel too small in the space but it was so comfortable and amazing. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with picking this venue. -

Great Experience!
Becky and her entire team were awesome to work with! She was always so quick to respond to my many emails and we had so many comments about how beautiful our reception was! The space is extremely versatile and I would recommend it for any group event! -

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Everything about the venue was perfect for what we were looking for. Planning from out of state, Becky was super helpful and responsive, and worked with us to make it a night we will never forget. The food and drinks were good, the decorations were prefect, and they were flexible in accommodating our needs. Also, being all-inclusive of food, drinks, linens, tables/chairs, serving ware, and partial centerpieces really helped. Highly recommend!! -

We used the Summit for a post wedding celebration for our friends and family. This is a Wonderful venue!! Becky was easy to deal with, helpful and responsive to our needs. We loved the monthly tastings to help decide on our menu.
The space really is a great venue for a small or large group.
When we had a last minute change to the guest list, and needed another chair to be set 30 min. before the guest arrival, they were right there to make it happen.
All our guests had a wonderful time and were really impressed with everything.
I would highly recommend this place for any event. -

Becky at The Summit is amazing! After setting out date we found out the Jeep Rally was taking place and most of downtown was going to shut down with 20,000+ people coming, and we lost our parking lot. Becky arranged everything for us from the Renaissance to the church, and the church to the reception to make sure we had access to everything. To the point of getting approval for us to cut through the parade if we had to on our party bus. At the hall everything was perfect. She helped with ideas, took notes the whole year of planning for what we wanted, offered all night to get drinks from the bar for us. We really developed an amazing relationship with her. She had our back through everything! AND the food was the best wedding/catering food we've ever had! The salad was all fresh, the chicken and meatloaf was moist, and the veggies and mac n cheese was out of this world! Even at the end of the night the chef came up to up and asked if we needed anything. She was a sweet heart! Great job The Summit for making our reception amazing! -

The Summit was the perfect location for our wedding! Becky was awesome to work. She offered great suggestions and easily accommodated my many requests! The venue itself is beautiful and completely updated. The venue has a large selection of items for use at no extra cost which saved us a ton of money. I was in awe when I walked into our reception! The food was fabulous and they easily moved 200 people through the buffet line in a timely manner. The bartenders did an awesome job keeping up with the heavy drinking crowd we invited. We had many compliments on the venue, food, and atmosphere at The Summit and would choose them again in a heart beat! -

Flexible, friendly, great service. I remember Rebecca Kessler saying to us when we first met her at The Summit is that they didn’t believe in “cookie cutter” weddings. She and her staff followed through on this from a separate tray of food for gluten-free and guests with other allergies to cleaning vases and votives they had in storage for us to use as part of our decorations for the night. Rebecca was always responsive and amiable, ready to answer questions and give recommendations that met our needs. Our guests loved the food, drinks, and look of the venue overall. This is a unique venue that’s great to work with. :) -

Becky was helpful along the way and our wedding day turned out even better than expected. Becky and her staff made sure me and my groom were well taken care of and made sure we had nothing to worry about. I could always e-mail if I had any questions and had quick responses. The food was great get the Mac and cheese ?? the table linens and we added draping made the day look amazing. Would highly recommend this venue it’s the best kept secret in Toledo and it should not be! My wedding was the best day ever thanks to my family and friends and Becky and her staff! -

We had an issue with scheduling that was out of all our control during our setup day, this being the day before a bride/groom’s wedding it can bring some panic. Becky and her staff listened to my details and completely created my vision of the y’all setup, and did it in less than 2 hours. Also, the food is amazing! Everyone of our guests raves about the dinner! I feel lucky to have found them at the bridal show! I would recommend this venue to anyone! -

The Summit was by far the best venue I have been to for a wedding. The vendors and staff were flexible and so helpful by doing their best to help me decorate the venue give me advice and take all of my requests and make them happen! There was not one thing that I was not happy with! It was the wedding of my dreams and I couldn’t have done it or pulled it off if it wasn’t with the help and all the time the summit put in to my special day ! They truly love what they do because they give your special day there all and makes sure it runs amazing it was a stress free wedding planning and wedding thanks to the summit! -

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Becky and her amazing staff. I reside in Georgia and was throwing my best friend a baby shower there in Toledo, OH. Becky made everything so easy for me to coordinate from afar. She even suggested a great company Abundant Confections for a dessert table and I loved them too. During the shower I had fun with her friendly and professional staff, that helped me with things beyond their duties. I would definitely recommend and would use them again. -

Having our wedding reception at The Summit was amazing! On our first visit Becky told us that she would make sure we had drinks in our hands all night and that is exactly what happened. The staff was amazing as so helpful, they made sure all our guests had a great time. The food was delicious and we were so happy they had vegetarian options. I rented the facility for my son's high school graduation party. Fabulous venue! Would definitely rent again in the future. Things that made our event spectacular: size of the facility was nice so that the guest didn't feel cramped; cleanilessness and size of the bathrooms; flexibility to use my own catering service; location, helpfulness of the Summit staff.

Rebecca was amazing! We had originally booked everything with an employee who is no longer with the venue. Rebecca explained everything and walked us step by step through the transition seamlessly. I could not be more happy with the service Becky and staff provided. When I first booked the wedding, she was not the coordinator and I was an it nervous after the changes were made. I could not have been more wrong with being nervous...everything was amazing. Leading up to the wedding, she was always available to answer questions and give suggestions. At our final meeting, I left feeling so comfortable with all the decisions that were made. Becky accommodated every detail we asked for, and was always helpful with last minutes changes. The decorations and table settings looked amazing and were more than I could have ever expected. The food was amazing and the chef was a pleasure to work with. When we arrived in the day of the wedding, I felt comfortable knowing Becky and staff were there and made sure our night was everything Mike and I expected and more. I cannot thank Becky enough for everything she did. I will be recommending her and The Summit to everyone! -

This place was awesome. I am not exaggerating. It's a blank canvas and if you're creative, you can turn it into whatever you'd like. It's very spacious. I waa worried about the pillars but they really weren't a problem at all.
The food was ridiculously good too. Yum. Seriously.
The staff were all smiles the entire night. They are all very very nice and welcoming. I really can't say enough. I have nothing negative to say about this place. Nothing. -

The Oasis Event Center was an absolutely AMAZING place for our wedding reception. The view was great, it was in Downtown Toledo, and everything went smoothly! At first I was a little nervous because we had two different "event planners" but when Jason stepped in and took over he made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was delicious! We had the chicken pasta, beef & gravy, red skinned potatoes, salad, and rolls! Everything was so good and their was plenty of food to go around. We had just under 200 guests and this was the perfect location. There is a stage that was perfect for our bridal party and a dance floor in place. Their was lighting & a DJ booth there as well! The speaker system was PERFECT!! The front entrance was beautiful and is perfect for any event, especially wedding receptions!! -

The Summit
My husband and I would recommend The Summit in Downtown Toledo for anyone looking to book an event venue. The Summit is wonderful at making your wedding day dreams become reality. The team works with you into designing your perfect vision and transforms the space in whatever way you see fit. On the day of your wedding, they are fabulous at making the evening run smoothly and keeping things on track. Their customer service goes above and beyond as on my own wedding day, they took to finding my feverishly ill sister-in-law a private room and brought her blankets, food, and hot tea. Such great people!-

A wonderful day
The Summit was an amazing reception venue. The food was so delicious (Chicken Parmesan is my fave!) and Becky was incredibly accommodating to our special requests. They have tons of items that you can use (glass cylinders, furniture pieces, chandeliers, etc) which will save you time and money. She is responsive to emails and texts and is willing to go above and beyond to help make your wedding perfect. They made sure to have a certain drink mixer that my parents wanted and served our favorite drinks to match a 'signature cocktails' sign that I made:) You can pretty much do anything you can imagine to the room. Also. Becky keeps the place EXTREMELY clean. My mom worked as a catering director and she was blown away with how clean the the kitchen and bathrooms are. Seriously, I cant say enough good things about Becky and The Summit. Our reception ran very smoothly and everyone had a great time dancing the night away! -

Beautiful modern venue with professional service
This is a fantastic modern venue with great food and professional friendly management and service. Our wedding went very smoothly and it was beautiful!
We were lucky enough to see the venue the day before a wedding, and we were sold immediately. Seeing the hall fully set up like that left us speechless. It really does look like the photos online.
What we loved:
Modern, clean venue.
Monthly food tastings when you are a client.
Linens company on-site during monthly tastings.
Extra features like party lights and a jumbo stage screen.
Flexible service and food options.
Professional staff that works with you.
Reasonably priced.
Event organization was well-orchestrated.
Staff on-site during event to greet guests and pace event.
Flexible table layouts and a raised mezzanine area.
Safe location in the newly improved area of downtown.
Areas for improvement:
The first servings of food were a bit small, but they do offer second servings, and they had plenty of food for everyone.
It would be nice if the linens company set up a "demo table" with full place settings, so clients can see how amazing the tables will look.
Parking during baseball games is a couple blocks away, but they offer valet service as well.
Bottom line: We loved this modern downtown venue, our guests commented on how cool the place was and the great taste of the food. Working with Becky and Taylor was great. We would recommend this venue for any event. -

Great Food, Great Space, Highly Recommend
The Summit was a fantastic venue for our wedding reception. We planned our wedding from Virginia and everything turned out great. The monthly food tastings are a plus (our family was able to go in our place). We had a couple of odd requests that the Summit accommodated which was fantastic. This was a great venue to use without breaking the bank, centerpieces and tablecloths are all available from the venue, making planning easy. Parking was also close, easy, and free for all our guests. Highly recommend this venue! -

The Summit was an absolutely perfect wedding venue!! we had both our ceremony and reception there. at first we were a little nervous to do this because of it all being in one room. but once we seen how they set the space up, we were shocked. everything looked so beautiful and perfectly put together. the staff transitioned the space for each part of the day perfectly and flawlessly. we would highly recommend this for your wedding venue!!-

The Summit was an amazing choice for our wedding ceremony & reception. The space is so modern, and can really fit any style of wedding. The bar was amazing, and the staff was beyond wonderful. Rebecca is amazing, and so incredibly kind and helpful. People loved our food, we had pulled pork, fried chicken and mac & cheese. The grassy area out front of the venue worked AMAZING for pictures, and there were lots of nearby hotels for guests. I would highly recommend The Summit to anyone planning a wedding in the Toledo area!The Summit's reply:

A Day/Night to Remember
The Summit staff was courteous, kind, and an overall joy to be around. My guests complimented the food during the reception, it was delicious! The whole process of creating our vision was smooth and fun! Would definitely do it all over with The Summit again! -

I had my wedding at the Event Center last year. The staff was very attentive to our needs and very flexible with our wants. For example, my husband was very sick the day we got married and didn't think he could stand up to do our first dance so instead of the two of us starting the dancing for the night the DJ opened the dance floor and then later shut it down for my husband and I to do our first dance. -

Pros and Cons
Pros:
• When we had to start thinking about rescheduling the wedding because of Covid-19, Becky was very helpful with sending us available dates. It was a huge relief that we were able to reschedule so seamlessly.
• The food and appetizers turned out good.
• We were supposed to get ready at the Park Inn originally. Since it closed, Becky let us get ready upstairs for free, which was expensive when she first offered it to us. But it was super nice of her to throw it in.
• The basement full of free decorations is a great perk.
• Emma, the building manager, is super nice and very helpful! When we brought up that the tables were set up incorrectly, she said she would take care of it.
• Even with the cons listed below, our wedding was overall a really great day!
Cons:
• Becky is unorganized and not very good at keeping track of everything.
• I submitted the final count 2 weeks before. She then calls 1 week before confirming the total and said the wrong count. It is like she didn’t even open the email before she called me. She also could not remember why we had a discount and the amount we agreed upon.
• The package comes with an open bar, so it should be stocked, correct?! They ran out of Margarita mix 45 minutes of being opened. We only had about 75 people that could drink. There should have been no way to run out of the mix.
• She was 40 minutes late to a meeting with us to go over the final wedding details. If we would not have asked for our linens to be brought by Jen, from Tables by Design, we would have been waiting there. She didn’t even answer my calls or texts or give us a heads up that she would be late. She finally texted Jen that she would be there soon.
• The evening of my ceremony rehearsal she was late once again. So, everyone had to wait around.
• The big inside glass windows were very dirty when we came in on Thursday to decorate for our Friday wedding, we ended up cleaning most of them.
• At our final meeting we went over table setup. When we got there on Thursday to decorate, the tables were wrong, the ceremony chairs were not set up, and the food tables were in the wrong spot, and there was an extra table on the stage that should not have been up there. (Again like I said in the pros list, Emma took care of it, and was SOO nice about it all!)
• Our ceremony started at 4 pm, she told me she would be at the Summit in the morning, then have to leave in the afternoon but be back by 2 pm to make sure everything was good, and she didn’t come until around 3 pm.
• She was also supposed to be there for the entire night to make sure everything went smoothly, and she left by 8:30.
• We should have received the leftover food, and we were supposed to have a plate set aside for us (bride and groom) at the end of the night for us to take back to the hotel. But we were told there was no food leftover. Which makes no sense because we had less people show up compared to my final count. If they truly did have no food leftover, then the kitchen staff should have been better prepared because if everyone that RSVP’d would have shown up, we would have run out of food.
• The brochure package makes everything seem perfect. But the linens package comes with the minimums. If you would like a table runner, an overlay, or draping on the tables, that will be extra. If you want anything to be sequins it will be way extra. Do not look up the Tables by Design prices on the website, Becky must give you the pricing since they are partnered together.
• During cocktail hour, there was only 2 workers serving the appetizers, which made the line very long.
• Parking is included in the package and guests were supposed to receive a voucher when they arrived, but instead they had to go to the bar to pick up the voucher. I wish Becky would have communicated better to us and/or the guests, so we would not have had everyone coming up to us (Bride and Groom) asking where to get the parking vouchers.
With all that said, I hope this helps a future Bride and Groom pick the best venue for their wedding!
