    First-rate guest experience

We had a 100-person wedding this month (July 2026) and are incredibly happy that we chose the Stevens Estate. From our initial tour to the wedding day, Amy Shore was a pure delight and we had a lot of fun coordinating the event with her on our side. The venue provides a clear planning timeline with 1:1 meetings to review logistics and address any questions or concerns. It was incredibly organized and allowed our event to run smoothly.

A big priority for us was a first-rate guest experience and WOW did they deliver. Endless compliments from our guests about the food/bar, the excellent staff/service, and the beautiful grounds. It made us so happy to see our family and friends well-treated and well-fed. Thank you Stevens Estate for making our day so memorable!

P.S. I still dream of the spicy tuna scallion pancakes and bacon wrapped scallops. And don't get me started on the short rib!

    My Dream Venue

This venue is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We had a small wedding on the last Sunday of the off season so our reception was inside the house and it was amazing. Amy the coordinator is the absolute best and she helped us so much and was such a fantastic source of information and guidance. We would choose this venue over and over again just for her alone. The ceremony had also originally been planed for inside because April weather but it ended up being a beautiful day so they let us move the ceremony outside at the last minute which was wonderful and Amy and her team also completely set up and tore down all our decor. Also, the food is insanely good.

    Best Venue and People!!

Getting married at the Stevens Estate was the best decision we made! The venue is absolutely beautiful, but the best part of the entire experience was working with Helen! Helen made the planning process so easy for us. She is so great to work with and so detail orientated. She brought all of our visions to life and made sure everything went according to plan. She created back up plans in case of unexpected events such as rain and really thought through everything. On the day of, we really had no stress because of the work Helen and her team put in. We had a unique wedding ceremony where we had a traditional ceremony followed immediately by a Persian ceremony, and Helen made sure everything followed our customized timeline. She even personally oversaw all of the Persian Ceremony decorations/set up to ensure our valuable items were set up perfectly and packed up safely. In addition to Helen, we also had a lot of other people with Stevens Estate who made sure our day was perfect. One was our day-of wedding attendant who was so attentive! She went out of her way to make sure my husband and I were getting everything we needed on the day of. If you want a beautiful wedding venue with an incredible team and amazing food we can’t recommend Stevens Estate enough. We were so present and stress-free on the day of our wedding and that is all thanks to Helen and her team!

    The Perfect Wedding!

Absolutely amazing wedding venue! Working with Amy was such a joy. She is so kind, attentive, responsive, experienced and professional. She also clearly loves what she does! She made all of our wishes and ideas happen! We had off menu food requests, unique ceremony props, tons of decor directions, the list goes on, and she made everything happen! I would recommend anyone to put The Stevens Estate at the top of their list! You will not regret booking your wedding here! I never had so much fun in one night!

The best decision for our wedding!

Working with Amy and her staff at Stevens Estate is one of the best decisions we made in our planning process. Amy's enthusiasm and dedication to our wedding was felt from the first meeting throughout the entirety of our wedding.

The Stevens Estate is absolutely gorgeous; the grounds, the reception tent, and the mansion. Its so well kept and the staff clearly take pride in the venue and guest experience. We brought a lot of different decor items (an entire U-Haul van full) and there were no complaints or problems with anything. Amy and the staff set everything up as we planned and made our wedding absolutely beautiful.

As a same-sex couple it is hard to find vendors in the wedding industry that are willing to adjust language in their documents or communications to fit the gender of their couples. We felt welcome and included from the start and were shown respect and dignity when we requested that the words "bride" and "bridal" not be used to describe our event as we are two grooms. Amy quickly shared this with her staff and it was never an issue. This is something that may seem small to opposite-sex couples but is immensely powerful in making us feel comfortable when working with a vendor for our wedding.

Overall, if we had to plan our wedding again and again we would do it at the Stevens Estate with Amy and her staff every time. They are attentive, kind, hardworking, professional, organized, and detailed. They made our wedding everything we wanted it to be. We are so grateful!

    Book this venue

Choosing the Stevens Estate was the best wedding decision we made. For starters, the venue is gorgeous. Inside the house is historically preserved, elegant, and pristine, and the landscaping outside beautifully kept - this leaves you as a couple with much less decor needed as the venue speaks for itself. If you are looking for Bridgerton-esque, romantic vibes, this is the place. We worked with Amy as our coordinator from the start, and it was a clear cut and easy planning experience. She sent out documents that help prompt us to make the necessary decisions, with due dates that prevented us from having last minute planning or decision-making. She was flexible, creative, easy to talk to and has years of experience to rely on. Sarah (our event manager) kept our wedding day running so smoothly by coordinating with all our vendors for us - she seemed to be everywhere all at once! And Jessie out bridal attendant was so sweet, attentive, and was always popping up next to us with a fresh cocktail or glass of water. As a testament to the staff and their efficiency - they had an outdoor ceremony set-up AND under-tent ceremony setup ready for me all day given the predicted rain… it rained 3 minutes before the start of my planned outside ceremony. They had the entire set-up of decor, speakers, ceremony arbor, and re-arranged chairs moved from outside on the lawn to under the tent in less than 10 minutes. The tented ceremony felt intimate despite our large guest count. The food was incredible, the wait-staff delightful, and venue itself stunning. Book it. Trust me.

    The best wedding venue

The Stevens Estate was easily our top choice in wedding venue. We lucked out with weather and had a beautiful outdoor October wedding, but it would have still been beautiful if we had been inside. The newly renovated estate house is gorgeous. Our guests raved about how good the food was and repeatedly used the word “grand” to describe the Estate. Amy and Helen were a dream team to work with. They made decision making easy and were incredibly flexible when the inevitable last minute changes happened. They accommodated some special requests with ease and made our dream wedding come true. Thanks to their expertise, the day of went off without a hitch and we cannot be more grateful to the Stevens Estate team for their professionalism and kindness in this process. Shout out to Casey and Jordan from our day of team as well for helping me with my massive train and helping with my bustle!

Just what we needed and more!

I would strongly encourage anyone who is planning a wedding to put the Stevens Estate in North Andover, MA at the top of the list for site visits.

We held my daughter’s wedding reception there this past weekend and I couldn’t be happier with virtually every aspect of it – especially Joanna Ouellette, the director of the facility.

We first discovered the Stevens Estate in early July – just hours after learning that Massachusetts State Pandemic restrictions had understandably forced the cancellation of our planned indoor reception at another venue.

Within just a few days, Joanna put all of our concerns at ease and began planning the perfect outdoor reception.

Little did we know at the time, that additional restrictions would be imposed less than two weeks before the wedding but once again, Joanna rose to the occasion and worked with us to adapt and overcome.

I could write pages on the seemingly endless amount of phone calls but the important thing to know is whenever we called – regardless of the day or time – Joanna answered in a calming voice that told me everything would be ok.
When the day came, everything was set up perfectly under a beautiful tent, with chandeliers and meticulously set tables – surrounded by ample, well-manicured lawns and gardens in the shadow of the magnificent Stevens Estate.

Joanna also connected us with Two Chefs Are Better than One Catering – one of a handful of in-house caterers that works with the Stevens Estate and the food was absolutely fabulous. Like Joanna, the team at Two Chefs was extremely flexible and accommodating despite all the changing rules and regulations.
If you were a guest at this wedding, you would think that it had been carefully
planned for more than a year – not just a few weeks, although I can’t imagine things being any better even if we had planned a wedding there under normal circumstances.

So if you are one of the many families struggling right now to plan a wedding during these difficult times I would strongly encourage you to call Joanna now.

The Stevens Estate was absolutely the perfect choice for our wedding, if we had gotten married anywhere else it would have been "fine", but at the Stevens Estate everything was unreal. The grounds are laid-back and relaxed for cocktail hour, and at night they're a great (romantic) way for guests to get away for a bit. The house and tent add a touch of class and history that can't be found at many other venues. The sunset was beautiful. We wish we could have been guests instead of running around the whole time!

The staff is great as well we really enjoyed working with them, Joanna was so helpful from the start and Victoria was on top of everything making sure the day went smoothly. Overall, it's such an excellent venue with character and charm, we plan on visiting often for other events or to hike the grounds.

The Stevens Estate made our wedding a wonderful experience! We had our ceremony outside on the grass area with beautiful white garden chairs. The cocktail hour took place inside of the Estate but our guests were able to spend time outside as it was a sunny day! Our reception under the tent was more beautiful then I imagined. I truly felt like we were having our wedding in our backyard setting while still having a super elegant feel to it! It felt personal, cozy, and laid back.

Only note: there was at least one tour at the Estate at the morning of our wedding. So while I was arriving to get ready there was a random family there. I would have really preferred it to be a private day for our wedding as we were paying for the grounds. Aside from that, amazing amazing staff and venue!!

I had my sights set on a completely different venue until a close friend pushed me to "just go see" the Stevens Estate. From the drive up I was absolutely blown away! It is such a gorgeous venue, and it checked all my boxes. Accessible restrooms that weren't far away, good dancing space, a pretty ceremony location, bride and groom suites for getting ready, the list goes on! Not to mention there is a great room where they keep things donated by other brides that you're allowed to use for decoration. I was able to use their easels, several signs, and other small decorations to give our wedding an extra touch of whimsy without having to spend extra money. The best part of the Stevens Estate is the people who work there. Joanna was excellent from the start, and I cannot say enough about Gail, who made our wedding the event I had always dreamed of. She is a fantastic person, and is so good at what she does. It was like having a wedding coordinator by my side the whole process, and she could always answer any questions I had. What you get for the money you pay is great, I know we saved a lot of money by choosing this venue. I had the best experience with the Stevens Estate and would absolutely recommend them to any bride and groom!

I can remember my now-husband telling me to play it cool as we drove up the long, hilly driveway to drive up to the immaculate mansion because he knew I fell in love right away. The inside didn't disappoint either. It was a spacious area with multiple rooms that were gorgeously decorated. Gail was super friendly, informative and gave us our space to discuss and explore. We quickly put down a deposit for the very last Saturday available in 2015 (don't wait too long, dates go fast!). Our decision wasn't solely because of the beautiful location, it was because it was actually an affordable venue that didn't charge you for every single little thing, the bar options were flexible and we could pick our own vendors. We originally had a caterer that we wanted to bring in, and circumstances didn't work out and we were without a caterer late in the game. Stevens Estate recommended one of their preferred caterers that could accommodate our family style dinner and they were great. (Side note: definitely explore the preferred caterers before going out of their recommendations. They already know the kitchen and process so it just makes everything so much easier and puts you at ease. There are some awesome choices at different price ranges.) Throughout the year, Gail was quick to reply to my many emails and very accommodating to us when we wanted to stop by. The week leading up to the wedding, hurricane Joaquin gave us a little scare. Gail was so calming and helped us with everything we needed to do since we had our reception in the tent. Luckily, the weather held up. It was cold but with the sides on the tent, it warmed up really quickly with 200 guests, 14 servers and a 7 piece band. Even with that many people, the tent never felt crowded. Gail was so helpful all day coordinating with vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. The day was absolutely perfect and a lot of that has to with the awesome service from Gail, bartenders and the rest of the staff.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Stevens Estate from the amazing beauty of the entire place to the absolutely wonderful event coordinator Gail who really holds a special place in me and my husbands heart!! The estate is gorgeous- when you go to tour the venue it doesn't even do it justice to the night that will be your wedding night .. we were just blown away by how incredible the tent looks all set up, inside the estate and the grounds are really all breathtaking. Everyone does an amazing job keeping this place looking spectacular all of the time. On the day of our wedding we got compliment after compliment from guests saying how much they loved the venue and we literally got chills walking into the tent and seeing it all set up for the first time. The event coordinator that we worked with through our entire planning process was Gail- and she is amazing. She has so much on her plate with planning and coordinating a wedding almost every weekend and keeping everything organized and she is really so so good at her job. She makes you feel welcome and at home when you come to the estate, she will answer your million questions that you think of a week before the wedding and she is so sweet. We really loved Gail and were so happy and lucky to have her there to share in our special day. She made it even more special just by being there to guide us and make us feel comfortable when we were nervous and anxiously awaiting the day. We truly appreciate all the hard work that she put in to make our day go so perfectly. Go book this place now for your wedding, you'll be sure to have the best time of your lives.

We had our July 4 wedding at the Stevens Estate and it went off without a hitch thanks to Gail and all her help to make everything run smoothly. She was a pleasure to work with and was patient with me and all of my questions throughout the entire wedding planning process. I felt very lucky to have been able to have her be a part of my wedding team--she is a wonderful person and great at what she does!

The Stevens Estate itself is gorgeous and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It has beautiful wood detailing and character inside and the tent outside is fantastic! We ended up making the dance floor bigger due to having a wedding on the larger side and we put lawn games on the grass next to the tent, which was a huge hit! The setting was perfect for our wedding and then the execution made it that much more so. We would recommend the Stevens Estate and Gail in a heartbeat to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

The Stevens Estate was the perfect wedding venue! The grounds and the estate are simply breathtaking, and the décor within the estate is true to its time period. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted a more unique venue that would allow us to add our own personal touches – definitely wanted to stay away from cookie cutter. The Stevens Estate allowed us to do all that and more! The moment I saw it I knew it was the place, and it was an added bonus that Erin and Gail were so amazing to work with as well! Erin was always quick to respond and so helpful with my endless stream of questions over the year planning. She always made me feel at ease, she also made some great suggestions along the way that made the planning easier. The value was also great - for other estate venues I looked at the rentals fees were much higher and didn't include as much. I also liked that Stevens Estate allows you to choose your own caterer which was very important to me. The day of I can’t say enough about how great Erin and Gail were! It rained and I was upset about the inability to have an outside ceremony, but Gail was so great at making me feel better, and making sure the inside ceremony was just as beautiful if not more. We had a large and energetic bridal party but Gail kept everyone in line and I can thank her enough. The whole night was fantastic and guests kept commenting on how beautiful the estate was. Thank you Erin and Gail for helping make my dream wedding a reality! :)

We loved Stevens Estate, we were looking for a place that would let us do lawn games and make sure we got our personal spin on our whole day and that is exactly what happened! The day was actually pretty chilly but the heaters that we got (only a few days before) made the whole tent perfectly comfortable for everyone. The space is beautiful and will make for the best photos! Erin was very easy to work with and set up all our last minute items and even added to our color theme!

I just had my wedding here on September 6th, and I cannot praise The Stevens Estate enough for saving my wedding!
First off, from the start Erin and Gail were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were always quick to respond when I had a question and were always so easy to work with.
But they really pulled through for us on the day of the wedding.
On the day of our wedding, we had an extremely violent thunder and lighting storm happen right as our ceremony started. Our ceremony was completely outdoors and our reception was outside under their huge tent. The storm was so bad that the wind blew all our centerpieces and glass wear off the tables. All you could hear was thunder, lighting, and glass breaking. By the time the storm was over, our reception area was completely trashed and the power had been knocked out throughout the whole estate. I was in shock and thought my wedding was ruined but Gail and Erin made it so that wasn't the case. As our guests had their drinks inside the estate, Gail, Erin, and the rest of the staff worked like mad to fix the reception area. They made it beautiful again. They kept all our guests calm, all of whom were previously shaken up by the storm. Erin got a generator there to power up the tent so we could have music and lights. By the time I was done with pictures, you wouldn't of even known a storm ripped through our wedding at all. I heard later on that particular storm hit our area the hardest and it was also a tornado warning! I also heard that almost all the other weddings that were going on got completely cancelled. The Stevens Estate made sure our wedding still happened for us. These people go above and beyond to make sure you have a beautiful day. All of our guests raved about how exciting and amazing our wedding was.
If you want a beautiful venue with an amazing staff, have your wedding here. I am so pleased with how everything turned out that I wouldn't of changed my wedding for anything!

The Stevens Estate staff made our anniversary party all that we'd hoped for and then some. They helped with every last detail, the decorations, folding the programs, pinning my husband's boutonniere, and countless other tasks that all added up to a wonderful evening in a beautful, intimate setting. Our guests raved about how much fun they had. They went above and beyond to make our day special.

The Stevens Estate was such a beautiful place to have our wedding and rehearsal dinner. The grounds were wonderful and well maintained and the inside of the estate was picturesque and historical. The Estate is large enough for a big wedding with plenty of space but an intimate feel or it can be small enough for a smaller wedding, depending how you use the space. We had our ceremony and reception here and it really was as perfect as could be. Our guests could not stop telling us how beautiful our venue was. Both Gail and Erin did an amazing job making sure our wedding day was perfect. Everyone told us before the wedding that things would go wrong and we would just have to live with it, but thanks to Gail and Erin, our wedding went completely smoothly with no hitches. We would not hesitate to recommend this spot for a wedding or any other event.

This estate is just lovely, gorgeous victorian interior with lovely woodwork, antique furniture and fireplaces. They worked with us to do our wedding & reception different than usual and everything was so beautiful. Guests loved the estate and said it was the most beautiful wedding. They have a very nice tent(with chandeliers!) outside for larger weddings. The director and coordinator are very nice to work with and very helpful with suggesting vendors. They were always available for us when we needed to work out details and are very organized. The estate is unique and the cost is less than others in the area. The place really provides wonderful spots for lovely interior photos and some neat places outside too(we went down to the end of the long driveway to the stone cottage and took a few there). It is a great place if your looking for somewhere unique.

My husband and I must have looked at every venue in the area, and we certainly do not regret choosing the Stevens Estate one bit! Erin, Gail, and all the staff at the estate had a big hand in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. The estate itself is beautiful and well cared for, with the grounds and interior of the house providing endless options for photos. The tent provides the indoor/outdoor reception experience that my husband and I really wanted, and it’s basically weather-proof! It has a concrete floor and the sides are included (other venues charge extra for tent flooring and sides). The estate staff not only kept our wedding day running smoothly, they were extremely professional and organized in the months leading up to the wedding. Erin answered every email promptly and courteously, and when we met to make final decisions the month before the wedding, all my fears about the organization of the wedding day were put to rest. These ladies know their stuff! Beyond that, they were friendly and warm. They showed an interest in getting to know my husband and me and making our wedding day special and unique to us as a couple. They certainly did just that! If you choose to hold your wedding at the Stevens Estate, you should definitely use their recommended caterer A Day to Remember. They worked with our budget to create our dream menu. Guests raved about the food! A Day to Remember staff really showed an interest in making the day special for my husband and me. Lori even took photos and video at the wedding and sent it to my husband and me the next day. How sweet is that? As I stated at the beginning of this post, my husband and I looked at TONS of venues, so I can say with confidence that the Stevens Estate provides a beautiful, elegant event for a steal compared to what most venues in this area charge. My husband and I would change absolutely NOTHING about our wedding, and the estate was a big part of making our day so perfect!

As soon as we pulled up and saw the rolling hills and the Estate peeking at us as we drove closer, Dan and I knew this had to be it. We had the pleasure of meeting Gail and we instantly enjoyed her laid back personality. She was easy going and we adored her laugh. When she gave us the run down of what was to be expected during your typical wedding at the Estate we were sold. The day of our wedding was everything we had hoped for. From the food which was provided by A Day to Remember which was FANTASTIC to the service provided by Erin and Gail , words just can not explain how happy and comfortable they made us feel. Erin was cracking jokes me as I was waiting to walk down the stairs to see my dad. Totally washing any nerves away. I could cry now just thinking about appreciative I was of her on that day. It was absolutely amazing. We've been married just about 2 months now and we are still hearing about how awesome everything was. The bartenders were so sweet. Smiling as they served drinks, cracking jokes. One bartender even offered to hold my dress as I was headed to the restroom. WHAT SERVICE IS THAT!!!!! I will never forget that day as long I live. And I have Erin, Gail, Lori, Shawn and all of ADTR to thank for that. Dan and I could not have picked a better venue. It was everything we dreamed of. Thank you Erin and Gail!!!

As soon as I walked into the Stevens Estate for the first time, I KNEW it was the PERFECT place for our wedding. From the first day I met her, Erin (the Estate's director) was nothing but supportive and incredibly helpful. She was very accommodating every time I asked to stop by the Estate for one thing or another. The planning process was so easy and smooth with The Steven's Estate. Erin is so laid back and truly wants to help you have the wedding that you’ve imagined. Since the Estate is so gorgeous, we also chose to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before our wedding, which was wonderful. Even though the Steven’s Estate needed minimal for decorations, it was nice to have the freedom to decorate things how you wanted to. Since I had decided to do all my own flowers for the wedding, Erin was even kind enough to let me put all the centerpieces together at the estate the day before the wedding. Also, Erin was amazing with her recommendations of vendors. We used everyone she recommended and could not have been happier with them (caterer, DJ, and Car Service). Gail was equally as amazing and she did such a great job making sure everything was taken care of during our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and wedding.
The caterers that we used, A Day to Remember, were absolutely phenomenal. They came highly recommended from the Estate and I can’t recommend them enough. My husband and I had so much fun creating the menu for both our rehearsal dinner and reception with them. Shawn and Lori worked with us to create a great family style mean for our reception as well as our rehearsal dinner menu. Above all, the food was AMAZING and our guests are still talking about it. Also, Lori made the BEST red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting I have EVER had.
If I ever have the opportunity to throw another event, I would definitely use the Steven’s Estate again. It’s gorgeous, unique, and the staff is amazing to work with.

Erin and the whole team at the Steven's Estate made our wedding day PERFECT. They were willing to work with every idea I had, and promptly responded to my many emails of questions. The venue itself is beautiful and well maintained, which made for a beautiful setting, but it was really the team here that made all the difference!

We fell in love with the Stevens Estate because of it's uniqueness. The estate provided us the ability to have a wedding that was made especially for us. Erin made the process seamless by referring us to vendors that were able to meet our needs. She was great with her communication and honest. Our wedding coordinator for the day did a great job and put in extra effort to make sure all things were taken care of. Our friends and family loved the location and couldn't get enough of the well kept estate and grounds. We were also able to create so many great photos just because of the location itself! The Stevens Estate was a perfect choice for us, we are sure it will be for many others!

The Stevens Estate is a beautiful wedding venue! My son's wedding and reception were held there recently. We also had the rehearsal dinner at the Stevens Estate. We dealt with Erin and Gail who could not have been more helpful and attentive to our needs. They offered great suggestions during the planning process and took care of everything on the day of the wedding. Thanks to their help and the wonderful caterer, A Day to Remember, it was a perfect day!

After a church ceremony, our cocktail hour and reception were held at the Stevens Estate. When we first booked the estate, Laura was the manager and within a few months it was switched to Erin who was wonderful. When I had questions, she responded right away. Everyone at the Estate was helpful, professional and very flexible. They let us use the bridal suites before the ceremony to get ready. We also had a "first look" in an open area right outside the estate which was just what we had imagined. Our families and wedding party watched from afar as we saw each other for the first time that day. The cocktail hour was held inside the Estate. Instead of hiring a day-of-coordinator, my friend came early the day of the wedding and helped set everything up for us. Everything looked wonderful. The tented reception was incredible- we had originally wanted to decorate the tent but decided not to the month before after our last mtg there. They had put lights up around the tent poles in the middle and the dance floor was brand new. We've heard from many guests who just loved Estate. One of my favorite aspects of the wedding was a photobooth we built that they let us put up in the ballroom. We we a little apprehensive about the set-up but again our friends helped out and everything went smoothly. We also lucked out with 83 degree weather in October so we didn't need to rent heaters, saving us $$. The only complaint we heard from guests was that the bar was a bit slow at times. Overall though, it was a perfect day. The Stevens Estate is a beautiful historic building with fantastic management. If we did it all over again, the Estate would be our choice!

My daughter was married inside at the Steven's Estate last Saturday, November 5, 2011. It was amazing. Every attention to detail was taken by the most professional staff. I was able to come in days before and decorate all the mantles, etc. The manager, Erin is amazing...was always available and accessible. She took care of everything for us from ordering specific tables and chairs we chose to making sure that the event was perfect. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the magical wedding day was. I would not have changed one thing! I have read some of the previous reviews when the Estate was under different management and was shocked that they were not all 5 stars. Believe me, the estate is beyond gorgeous and the staff is fantastic. You will not find a more beautiful venue with a more fantastic staff. I have recieved nothing but rave reviews from all of our guests.

I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PLACE! I just got married last Saturday, October 16th, my wedding day was more perfect than I could've even imagined! The staff at the estate, especially Laura, went ABOVE & BEYOND for me and my guests! They let me have my dag as my ring bearer, they referred me to a few caterers, I picked "A Day to Remember" the food was phenomenal! Laura was there to help us set up and do last minute decorations- she decorated the archway for the ceremony for me. I have had soooo many compliments from my guests about them telling me that my wedding was without a doubt the best they have ever been to! My memories and my experience at the estate will never die- I can't stop glowing about the whole event! We had so much fun and if it wasn't for Laura I wouldn't have had my dream wedding! The Estate is surrounded by the forest, it is private, and the staff are regular fun people. I appreciated the fact that they had as much fun as my guests, I appreciated that they treated us like normal people and there was always a smile on their faces. if you are an out doorsy, fun loving type of couple, this is the place to get married! Also- the Wyndham Hotel is about 10 minutes away and we were able to rent shuttle buses to take people to and from the estate. And best of all, Laura was extremely organized and was on point with EVERYTHING! She was the reason my wedding went as smooth as it did. Thank you again Stevens Estate! I can't say enough of how excellent my day was! Thank you, thank you!

Laura and all the staff were EXTREMELY helpfull and made our wedding day just as amazing as we dreamed it would be. From beginning to end we were treated with respect, kindness and a genuine excitement for our day. The house is so beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. I would recommend The Stevens Estate to any couple who are looking for the wedding of their dreams!

The Steven's Estate was the first and only venue we looked at! As soon as we drove up the hill I know it was the place for our wedding reception. We got married down the street at a church and had our reception outside under the tent. Gail was great to work with, always getting back to me right away with any questions and made any special request happen! The only things I will say was inside of the estate isn't the cleanest. We were lucky enough to be able to go in to clean and set up before our wedding, but if you don't have that luxury, be sure to ask that they dust it for you! Other than that, everything was great. Our guests loved the venue - many people had never been before which was nice. The tent is gorgeous at night with the bistro lights and chandeliers - picture perfect! I highly recommend the Steven's Estate for your wedding venue!

We recently got married at the Stevens Estate and it was a fantastic day from start to finish. We did both the ceremony and reception on site, which made it easy for our guests and provided a nice venue to move from the garden (ceremony) to the mansion (cocktail hour) to the tent (reception). Erin and Gail were very helpful along the way in helping to answer any questions and they really came through in helping to make the day perfect (from setup to the flow, to taking care of all the little things onsite). It is a gorgeous venue and we are thrilled to have had our family and friends share our big day with us in such a beautiful place. Gail was onsite throughout the whole wedding and really kept things moving along and was easy to work with and super helpful with all requests. I'd highly recommend the Stevens Estate to anyone looking to plan a beautiful outdoor wedding.

When we got engaged, we knew we didn't want to have our wedding in a ballroom. We definitely wanted an outside tented reception. There are a lot of venues around that will set up tents, but the one at the Stevens Estate is top notch. The tent it is one of the biggest around, and it sits on a solid patio. We also liked that the tent was attached to the beautiful house by a marquis, so guests wouldn't have to get wet if it started raining to go to the bathroom. The house itself is beautiful inside, lots of fireplaces and ornate wood and molding, and makes for a great backdrop for pictures. While we didn't use the Estate for our ceremony, we took our formal pictures on the lawn and in the surrounding trees. The grounds were incredibly well maintained and beautiful for our photos. A family member made us a corn hole set as a wedding gift, and we were able to set it out and let people play during the reception. Many people also enjoyed roaming the grounds and house during cocktail hour and before dinner started.

Compared to other tented venues, the Estate rental fee is a better deal. They only do one wedding a day and are great about coordinating the little details ( like chairs and linens).

The Stevens Estate absolutely made my wedding dreams come true. My husband and I recently got married there (ceremony and reception) and it was PERFECT! Everything went off without a hitch not only on our big day but before our big day as well. To describe the ratings a little better for those of you looking for a WONDERFUL place to tie the knot:

Quality of Service: From the time I booked an appt. to take a tour of the place until the time we left our reception we were treated like celebrities and any request we had was respected. Laura who was our wedding coordinator at the Estate was so very helpful and so easy to talk to about any issues I was having with the planning before hand. The day of the wedding, if there were any issues, I did not know about them, because Laura and the rest of the staff were there every second of the day making sure everything, went as smoothly as possible. As for the food at the wedding, it is worth mentioning our caterers as well. A Day to Remember Catering Co., made the most amazing wedding meals I personally have ever had and I have never heard so many people say it was the best "wedding food" they have ever had. not to mention the CAKE they made for us as well!!! A Day to Remember Catering was absolutely perfect and I cannot recommend anyone better.
Responsiveness: Being a typical nervous bride wanting everything to go perfectly how I wanted it to, the staff at the Stevens estate was so good about easing my mind and getting back to me when I needed to talk to them. I never felt as though I was waiting for answers, and I always knew what was going on.
Professionalism: Needless to say the staff at the Stevens estate, as well as a Day to Remember Catering, the bartending service, etc..etc..everyone showed the utmost professional manner the entire time before, during and after the big day and I cannot thank everyone enough for that.
Value for Cost: unbeatable....most definately. My husband and I actually booked a DIFFERENT venue originally for our reception and put money down and then were told we would only be able to take pictures in one very tiny little room and we would not be able to leave that room because another wedding would be taking place the same time. When we realized that, we backed out and this particular venue refused to give us back our $500 deposit...Very upset about that, and deciding to completely change gears and find something cozy and historic, the Steves Estate turned out to be absolutely perfect and the time we had there and the people we dealt with the entire time were so worth every single penny.
Flexibility: Not much to say here except what I have been saying, and that is they were professional, flexibile and helped us in any way possible.

Therefore, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Stevens Estate and for those reviews I have read that state otherwise, I am actually very surprised because our wedding day was absolutely perfect and worth every cent and if I could have done it all over again it most definately would be at the estate again.
Thanks to all of the staff especially Laura who made my day extra special and who was there from the first phone call until we left the reception!! On another note, I am still getting so many comments from guests who were at my wedding saying how they have never been to a more beautiful and well done wedding. Many of my guests are very sincere in saying this is one wedding they will never forget and this makes me so very happy that this was such a special day not only for my husband and I, but for every single one of my guests....

The Estates is a great place to hold a ceremony and receiption. The place is just great. Everything went well without a hitch. The grounds are spectacular and so is the manison. All the staff were very helpful and a joy to work with. There is a lot of flexibility when arranging the receiption under the tent with decorating and table setups. All of our guests were very impressed with the place and staff....we got som many great comments, like "That was the best wedding I've/we attended". Our guest also enjoyed being able to roam around the estate.

My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the Stevens Estate when we went for our tour with Laura. It was the last place we looked at for a venue and we immediately knew it was perfect for us. We wanted a unique venue and it certainly was!

Our wedding reception was beautiful and everything went perfectly. The mansion was stunning and the tent looked fabulous. The staff at the estate were very accommodating and attentive the day of the wedding. My guests were very impressed by the venue, especially the mansion. I was nervous about having 170 guests in the mansion for cocktail hour (waiting in lines for drinks, etc) & only having one bathroom on the first floor- but it was not a problem at all!! I never saw a line at the bar as we made sure to have enough bar tenders :)

If I were to rate solely on the "day of," everything would be 5/5. However, there were times when responsiveness could have been a little better during the planning process. In the end, everything ended up fabulous!! I can not say anything negative about the way the wedding day went.

My husband and I are thrilled that we went with The Stevens Estate. It is truly a gorgeous place.

The Estate is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful and the Tent with brick patio is perfect for the party. There are 10-15 rooms in the estate that guests can stay in (some are beautiful, some are relatively bare). They are continuing to make improvements. We got a really good deal on the Estate and hotels near by that are cheaper than Boston. Laura was very helpful throughout the wedding planning (though not as responsive to email as to phone). Laura was TERRIFIC on the day of the wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend this!!!

It's a tremendous space, with a beautiful outdoors, nearly unique (in MA) outdoor patio with a semi-permanent tent, and a mansion to boot! We were married in the rain, and you could barely tell in the tent. No mud, no water, and when the sky cleared, we could simply walk outside and stroll the grounds for photos.

The staff took care of everything, with no mistakes and a few very nice details on the weekend/day of. They were flexible to accommodate our requests, tried their best to get us an outdoor ceremony (almost setting up two ready-made seating options!), and were behind the scenes making things work.

There were definitely a few periods in the months/weeks leading up where it took a few days to get a response or returned call, but I understand that it was a very busy period for the staff, and they had all of the details right safely in advance of the date!

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at the Estate in June of this year. Overall we were very pleased with how everything turned out. There were a few blips along the way and some details (extra cost of chairs for example) got lost in translation during the early planning process-this was due to the old Estate coordinator leaving. After she left and Erin (the current coordinator) took over, it was smooth sailing! Erin is great; she made sure that everything was how we had envisioned our wedding to be, she would answer all my emails and all my questions promptly, and she met with us quite a few times before the day, so we could finalize without feeling overwhelmed. The only request my husband had was that the dance floor in the tent be moved so there would be enough room to accommodate our band, as well as be big enough for people to dance-Erin made sure that it was moved and everyone had a wonderful time, dancing the night away! Also, the tent is very well constructed and the fact that it is on concrete and not grass allowed us to not even notice when it started to rain during the last half of the night. The only negative comment about the actual wedding day was that Erin couldn't be there so another coordinator was present to oversee the events of the day. While she was very nice and helpful, I wish she would've been a little more proactive in at least guiding us through the timeline of the day. She appeared to be a bit flustered. But overall, like I said, great experience, beautiful venue. We received and still are receiving many many compliments on how wonderful the reception was. Thanks Erin for making our day so special and unforgettable!

I had both my ceremony and reception at the Stevens Estate. Overall it was a great experience. Although Laura was very nice, working with her was frustrating at times because she is not particularly responsive and she frequently would say she would call you or take care of something and would end up needing to be reminded. The worst part was that 4 days before my wedding I was told (only because I had specifically asked) that Laura would not be my function manager the day of my wedding. This was the first time that I had been informed that anyone aside from Laura ever ran the weddings. It came as a complete and total surprise to me, and apparently had been the plan all along, and they just didn't think that it was necessary to mention to me that the person I had been communicating with and talking over details with for the past 9 months wasn't going to be there to organize things the day of my wedding. When I expressed my disappointment and confusion, Laura ended up offering to come for the morning for setup and stay through the ceremony to make sure that the party got off on the right foot. That was a nice offer. And it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the lady that became my function coordinator (Monique) was incredible. She was very organized, extremely friendly, so helpful - and I felt 100% comfortable with her the day of the wedding (even though I had only met her the night before for the first time)... Aside from that debacle, the venue itself was gorgeous, and the ability to customize our wedding from top to bottom was exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want a wedding at a hotel, where everything was pre-chosen. We loved that we were about to design everything ourselves and have a unique reception.

This is a tough one. If I were to grade based on the day of, I would give them an A. However, I would grade my experience in the months leading up to the event in the as a C, and a D in some aspects.

Positives: The grounds of the estate are absolutely gorgeous, especially for a spring/summer wedding. Our pictures all have the gorgeous background of the estate and our guests really enjoyed being able to roam the grounds and enjoy the gorgeous weather during cocktail hour. Another big plus is that the price to rent the estate is very reasonable and included rentals of just about everything but chairs, which saves a lot of money and hassle if you are planning a tented wedding. The included linens are a little basic, so if you are planning to use the estate, I would budget in a linen rental as well. Simply Elegant, one of the available caterers there, is absolutely amazing and very affordable (I did a separate review for them).

Monique, the woman that ended up being our venue coordinator in the 2-3 weeks leading up to the wedding, was really responsive, organized, detail oriented and managed to save the day. If you are planning on booking a wedding there, I highly suggest asking for Monique. I was very impressed with her professionalism. In the end, our day went off without a hitch.

Negatives: I think the main negative aspects for the Stevens Estate are communication and professionalism. My main contact was Laura, who was incredibly responsive and friendly when we were looking to book the estate. However, I felt that once we put down the deposit, the level of responsiveness went down. Getting a response required multiple emails/ phone calls. Annoying, but since my wedding was rather far off, I dealt with it and assumed the responsiveness would improve as the wedding got closer.
Three weeks before the wedding, I still had to follow up multiple times to get a response on some major items like tent layout and final costs for rentals, etc. Much of the information I tried to confirm was incorrect, giving me the impression that she had only sporadically updated our file. After I expressed my frustration with the lack of communication and organization, there became a major problem with professionalism. I was actually really surprised with the level that it was taken to. We were reassigned to Monique, who was like a dream, and everything ended up really great. Also, as a credit to the Stevens Estate, the chair of the committee that oversees the Estate caught wind of the issues we were having and emailed my mother to acknowledge our concerns.

Overall, I think the Stevens Estate has a lot of potential, but could probably use some additional resources. The value for the cost is really good, but I would plan on being extremely proactive and hands on if you intend to have you wedding there. I am happy we did.

This place is gorgeous! And if you want a unique venue /mansion as a venue it's probably the most reasonable in terms of cost and flexibility. I was very happy with how my wedding turned out overall and wouldn't have traded a wedding there for anything. I had an amazing experience with Gail on the day of my wedding (that was the first time I had the pleasure of dealing with her) but I found Erin to be very rude both before and after my wedding- which is why I am not giving this place as high of a rating.

    Beautiful venue but poor management

The Stevens Estate was an idyllic setting for our summer South Asian wedding, but a staffing change shortly before our wedding soured our experience in the final weeks.

We visited SE in the summer of 2020, and immediately loved it. The grounds are gorgeous, there is plenty of parking, and multiple areas in- and outside the house for guests to explore. If you want a classic New England feel, with a gorgeous backdrop, you'll love the SE. From the bridal suites to the landscaping, everything is exquisite. Joanna, the erst-while director of the estate, was very flexible about the accommodations we would need to have a South Asian wedding on the grounds according to our traditions. She was extremely patient in answering my 100s of questions via email/phone, and ultimately we felt confident about booking the SE for summer of 2021, despite having no idea what the Covid situation would look like in a year, because we trusted we were in good hands.

Fast forward about eight or nine months, Joanna and Humara (the Event Manager at the time), were doing a great job of communicating about the SE's reopening plan as things were trending better in the spring. Our 60-day meeting in May also went very smoothly. However, things started to get more difficult a couple weeks later when we learned that Joanna would be leaving the SE, and that Humara (who had previously been assigned to us as just a day-of coordinator) would be taking over.

Humara clearly had much less experience than Joanna, and it was obvious that she was over capacity with basically single-handedly coordinating all the wedding/events at the SE this summer. Her communication was often unprofessional, she had to be reminded of details multiple times, and we got multiple frenetic and confused emails in the month leading up to the wedding (including one that was sent DURING our wedding ceremony about "Important things to know before your wedding day"??!) To her credit, Humara did gamely try to work with us when we were having issues with our caterer and were looking for a last-minute alternate less than a month before the wedding, which I appreciated as it was a tall order. But overall it was just plain stressful to work with her due to her chaotic communication and the fact that she would forget things and then act like it was our fault.

On the day of the wedding, all I can say is that it was a success DESPITE Humara and her team, who seemed totally unprepared and unconcerned with us having a smooth client experience. On the morning of (ours was a 11am wedding), there was one person from the SE slowly setting up 120+ chairs, and my fiance and his brothers had to jump in to help (delaying their getting ready) otherwise it would have never gotten done before guests arrived. I had had my videographer coordinate in advance with Humara about the wifi situation for our livestream; on the morning of, the venue's wifi wasn't working and Humara didn't seem to have a solution or even care that it wasn't working -- instead, our videographer jumped in to fix the router and Humara went up to my fiance and asked him if he knew how to fix her phone... what?! When the caterer was running late, Humara pulled aside my mom to ask where he was -- creating more stress for us, instead of using the vendor contact list I'd created to call and figure it out! I was baffled since she was supposed to be our day-of coordinator, but only created more stress and chaos on the morning of the wedding.

I was particularly shocked to hear that Humara had berated one of our child guests about scattering rose petals as part of the procession -- yes, we had forgotten that scattering flowers wasn't allowed, but in that moment (right before I was about to walk out), the professional thing to do would have been to talk to an ADULT, or to just let it happen and ask AN ADULT to ensure the petals were cleaned up afterwards (which we did). Instead, she scolded the child before the ceremony, upsetting her, and then sought her out to tell her to clean everything up afterwards. It was totally unprofessional and we had to apologize to the child and her family afterwards for the way she was treated by the venue staff.

Despite all the chaos and stress created by the staff, we still had a beautiful wedding day (gorgeously chaotic, I like to say) because of the stunning and well-maintained grounds. Our guests absolutely loved the venue, and it was great that there were so many areas for guests to explore and take pictures. I believe the SE is getting turned over to private management later this year, which hopefully will improve the experience for future guests. I would recommend the SE to future couples IF there is better management, as I think the venue has a lot of potential. However, the SE leadership short-changed us (and probably other couples this summer) by putting a single, less-experienced staff member in charge of the entire 2021 wedding calendar at a gorgeous and in-demand venue.

The Stevens Estate is absolutely beautiful. The grounds, tent, cobblestone patio in tent and mansion itself are amazing. We held our ceremony on the grounds, had our cocktail hour in the mansion and our reception under the tent. The cost to rent the estate and tent are fairly reasonable compared to other similar venues and the tent gives you a beautiful blank slate to work with.

The issues that I did have with the estate was regarding the service and professionalism that I received from the staff.

Communication - The wedding coordinator that I was working with was very difficult to get in touch with via email. I would have to follow-up multiple times to get a response and had to verify information numerous times. My file never seemed to be updated when I would give them information.

Professionalism -The night of our wedding, there was an episode where a light fixture was missing from the men's room. The coordinator made the best man walk to all of the other rooms to check and see if anything else was broken or stolen. She told the best man that if she found out that maintenance hadn't taken the fixture to repair, that we (bride and groom) would be charged. Come to find out the next day it was removed by maintenance and the episode could have been avoided.

Service/Value for Cost/Professionalism: Next was the bar. This was one of the biggest complaints that we had. We hosted cocktail hour for beer and wine and soda only and had it cash bar the rest of the night. Somehow, the cocktail hour bill breakdown listed that more beer and wine were drank during cocktail hour than the whole rest of the night (4 hours as we extended the reception). The coordinator assured me that it was correct when I asked about it and said she would get me a breakdown with a time stamp to see how much was consumed during cocktail hour and each hour of the night. At this point the issue is being investigated by the chairman of the estate, who said that he doesn't have such a receipt with the breakdown by hour. I asked for this matter to be looked into more, as I feel we were significantly overcharged fo the hour that we hosted and if they can not prove that this is incorrect, we feel we should receive some time of refund.

Professionalism: Another major issue we had was at the end of the night the coordinator asked us to remove our centerpieces and numbers off of our tables. Cleaning our tables was never in our contract or brought up before, otherwise we would have been sure we had help to do so. We ended up not cleaning the tables and our Coordinator ended up getting upset and emptying all of the vases screaming about how no one appreciates her. We found this to be very unprofessional.

At this point we are waiting to hear back from the Chairman of the Estate to see how the bar issue will play out. We will update our review based on any additional information that we receive.

Venue is beautiful and our event went off without a hitch, due to OUR efforts but I would not recommend this venue to others because:
Lack of customer service. Erin, the director was very difficult to work with. Giving us one word emails and offering no solid advice or expertise regarding our celebration. It was very clear that for reasons unknown she did not want to work with us.
Lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, some of our lanterns were stolen from the property overnight. When I asked Erin for information and help in trying to locate the lanterns, her reply was that the Stevens Estate was not responsible for these items and went on to make the claim that she saw guests with the lanterns but refused to offer any other explanation or help in who, where, or when.
Lack of care. My family had spent a small fortune on this event, inviting 300+ guests. The event was a huge success, regardless of Erin's horrible attitude and lack of service. However, we all had to work that much harder to fill in the gaps that Erin and her staff should of taken on.

The Stevens Estate is a beautiful venue. It is a bit on the run down side, most likely because of the inadequate staff. The woman who was in charge was rude, disorganized, unresponsiveness and generally just bad at her job. Prices changed depending if she wanted to make your experience hellish or not! She made our experience miserable and I hope that she has moved on for all potential brides. So, if you call and Cindy is still working there- run and run away fast. Not worth the headaches!!

The mansion is gorgeous. The service was horrible. Laura was nearly impossible to get in touch with in the 6 months prior to the wedding. I sent her confirmation of my final head count 3 WEEKS in advance of 101 guests. Two days prior to the wedding I got an email confirming 150 guests. Then I get an email saying they only have room for 85 in the dining room. Eventually we worked out exactly how many guests needed seating but the set up the day of the wedding was still not right. She did not communicate with the bar tenders that beer and wine would be hosted all night, then informed my guests that the bar was only hosted for the first hour. I went over and confirmed details with her several times and she still couldn't get them right. When it came time to cut the cake, we had no plates and forks and had to wait for someone to fetch them for us. I was interrupted towards the end of the night to settle the bar tab even though half my guests were still partying. Ive never worked with such incompetent people. The other staff members did not communicate with Laura and I found myself repeating myself several times just to get an answer. They also lost one of my bridesmaids reservations to stay the night. I also feel that I was overcharged. The original pricing guide I was given stated that "busy season" started may 15th, I asked that if I had my wedding may 14th could I get the "off season" pricing and I was told yes. When I called back to book I was told that "busy season" starts when the tent goes up and because someone had booked a wedding in april that needed the tent now all the prices would go up. That was an unexpected charge.

Overall the mansion was gorgeous, but the amount of hassle I went through just wasn't worth it.
