Our wedding at Shawnee was nothing short of magical. Our wedding took place on October 5, 2024, at Shawnee Inn. From the moment we secured the venue, Tabitha was incredibly supportive and consistently available to assist us. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at this location, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Upon our arrival on Thursday, Jorge welcomed us warmly and provided invaluable assistance in transporting our wedding items to the conference room. On Friday, our guests participated in a round of golf, with JJ and Nick playing a pivotal role in organizing the outing. That evening, we held a welcome barbecue for all attendees, where the food was fantastic and the staff exemplary. On the morning of our wedding, we were treated to brunch while we prepared for the ceremony. Tabitha checked in frequently to ensure everything was proceeding smoothly. Our wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the lawn, which was breathtaking. It was followed by cocktail hour under the pavilion, which was truly stunning. The food and service during the cocktail hour were outstanding, with LaCresha ensuring that we, the brides, were well-fed and had drinks in hand. The reception took place in the main ballroom, where the dinner was delicious and the staff continued to impress us with their service. We concluded the celebration at the Brewery, where the staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. It was a flawless day, and we are immensely grateful to everyone involved. We had no complaints whatsoever. The following day, we hosted a farewell brunch on the front porch, and once again, the staff was attentive, and the food was remarkable. The bloody mary bar was incredible. Our guests are still raving about the wonderful time they had at Shawnee. The hotel itself is beautiful and exudes charm; although it is an older establishment, it possesses a unique character. The friendly and helpful staff significantly enhanced our special day. We highly recommend Shawnee to anyone seeking a memorable venue. -

We got married in July 28th 2024 at Shawnee Inn and Golf resort hotel. Beautiful place to have such big event! Wedding pictures with nature came out so well! Everything is so close by! We had our rehearsal dinner at Gem & Keystone Brew Pub! The food was great and service even better! We had after dinner party at Shawnee Craft Brewing company with live music! The ceremony was outside with gorgeous river and mountains view! Tabitha Wedding coordinator was so patient and kind with us and so professional! Reception dinner was great too! And after the reception dinner we went to the River room bar! And we had a blast that night! So many good memories to share later! We definitely recommend this amazing place! Thank you for having us! -

We got married at the Shawnee inn on 10/9/2021. Shawnee was the perfect location for us near my hometown in the Poconos and a prior vacation spot for my husband. But it was so much more than that. Our wedding weekend was absolute magic with many thanks to Tabitha and all of the other staff at the inn. From the communication before the wedding, to the rehearsal and dinner, the ceremony, reception (with amazing food) and the day after, we wouldnt change a thing. The girls and I loved getting ready at the spa and the hair and make up were everything we hoped for. We also loved having an after party at the brewery with pizzas and chicken tenders.
Our guests can not stop talking about the perfect venue, the delicious food and the fun they had. A huge plus is having several options for the ceremony and reception location for a plan b or even plan c. Wishing we could wedding all over again :) -

Tabitha and her team at Shawnee were absolutely amazing during the entire wedding planning process and through the day of. My day went off without a hitch and the outdoor venue was perfect. The Shawnee Inn is a Hidden Gem! Tabitha, our wedding coordinator, was so down-to-earth and sweet and just a talented young woman. She took my vision and made it real. The location is to die for. The backdrop of the mountains and the river will make your wedding luxurious. Do yourself a favor. Forget a tent. The Pavillion does that for you. This venue had fantastic food. The guest loved every bit of it, which I thought was super cool, considering wedding food is usually pretty gross. People got two and three plates. The drinks were constantly flowing all night. Tabitha did all of the work setting up, and it was a lot of work. The people who helped serve were so lovely, and I appreciated all of them. Everyone impressed me so much they deserve a raise! Please check out the venue. The springtime is fantastic you will not regret it. -

This venue was not only peaceful and beautiful, but the wedding coordinator Tabitha was also amazing! She knew what she was doing and it showed, she was very attentive to me and my wedding party and she was very good at explaining the details. The other staff that was part of my day were also very nice and very helpful. I don't think I could have picked a better venue! -

Our wedding was June 15th and we held it in the Courtyard off the Delaware Room of Shawnee Inn. It was a wonderful day and we had our perfect "I Do" BBQ. Everyone said the ceremony and party was beautiful and the food was wonderful! A great big thanks goes out to Tabitha and Jasmine and all the staff that helped us on that day. Could not ask for a more perfect setting! Thanks You goes out to the Staff! -

I can not begin to express how wonderful our wedding was at the Shawnee Inn.
Working with Tabitha was a dream-- she answered every email and phone call with great detail to ensure that we were on the same page. From the very start I knew that I would absolutely love working with her. She was always willing to listen to my ideas and offer suggestions based on what other couples had done in the past. On the day of the team was tremendous. When we arrived the day before we walked through our decorations and where we wanted everything placed. I found it helpful to include a full inventory list with pictures of items. When we walked into each of our event spaces (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) it was clear that it was all done with great care. We chose to extend our party to the hotel bar for an afterparty. Between the bar and the firepit, there were plenty of places for friends to socialize well into the night.
We turned our wedding into a full weekend event and there was plenty of space to do our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and post-wedding breakfast. Their affordable prices and excellent customer service made it all a breeze to plan and execute. I felt really lucky to have a venue where we loved our plan A, B, and C for the wedding ceremony should it have rained. The area between the trees, the pavilion, and the patio are each gorgeous options. There was also no shortage of potential photo locations!
Our friends and family loved being on site for the weekend. We had friends staying at both the Inn and the Wyndham properties nearby. The Wyndham’s were perfect for groups of friends and family at affordable rates. We specified which villages people should reserve in and it led to everyone being within walking distance of one another. It kept the party going! I stayed in the Worthington suite and it was totally worth the spend. It was the perfect location for the bridal party to get ready in. We had friends and family participate in the daily activities that Shawnee offers, the coffee shop on site was key, the brewery was great for bridal party partners while the bridesmaids were getting ready, and a few friends went golfing!
If I could do it all again (which I would in a heartbeat) I would absolutely choose the Shawnee Inn. It was the perfect location for our beautiful day! -

Emily Sent on 06/03/2014Look no further for your perfect wedding/reception venue. You absolutely cannot beat all that you get from Shawnee Inn for the price that you pay.
First off, the location is gorgeous. The inn sits along the Delaware River with a beautiful outdoor location for weddings. But a big plus for me was the alternate location in case of rain. It is a lovely veranda on the front of the building that has a view of the property and the river. So many venues I looked at had an extremely poor rainy day option. It was so important to me that my alternative be just as fantastic as the outdoor sunny day option. And thank goodness I found Shawnee because it poured all day and we still had a beautiful outdoor wedding on the veranda.
That's not even the best part! Simone, their wedding specialist, is a huge perk that comes with having a wedding at Shawnee. From the first conversation with Simone she was very accommodating, helpful, attentive, and responsive all while being very calm and professional. She’s the perfect person to have as a wedding coordinator. No matter what happened, (including the florist getting into a car accident on the way to Shawnee and being late) she was cool, calm, collective and assured me that it was going to be fine. And everything was better than fine, it was superb! She's a wedding rockstar!
Everything else was awesome too. The reception room we were in was beautiful and the perfect size for our small wedding, the food was great, and the staff was extremely courteous. I honestly have never in my life received the kind of service my husband and I got at our reception. They were there as soon as we needed or wanted anything, sometimes before we even realized it!
Since the wedding I have gotten nothing but complements from all of my friends and family about Shawnee and how beautiful they thought everything was. I cannot say enough about how great Shawnee and Simone are and I know I could not have picked a more outstanding venue to have my wedding.

Krystle Sent on 07/05/2011My Husband and I love to go snowboarding so last year (Jan 2010) we decided to go some where different and we stayed at The Shawnee Inn. We fell in love with its charm instantly. We knew that our Wedding would have to be there. Working with Simone on the details and arrangements for our Wedding was amazing. She is such a wonderful person with amazing ideas and a love for her job. We had our wedding on a Sunday which was also Father's Day. We arrived early on Saturday, our rooms were ready as soon as we arrived. All of the staff couldn't be nicer with helping with our bags and all the boxes I brought for the wedding. Our wedding was so much fun, we couldn't have have asked for anything better, we heard the most wonderful comments from our family and friends about the food and service and the place it self. We even have about 3 couples that want to plan their wedding at The Shawnee Inn in the future. It was wonderful to have our Ceremony and Reception in one place it just made the day more perfect. I wouldn't have changed anything about our day! -

We had a September Wedding with ceremony & cocktail hour outside and reception in the Delaware Room. The setting is beautiful and although we had a small wedding (62 people) we felt like we had the entire resort area to ourselves. The coordinator Tabitha was extremely helpful and professional during the entire process. -

Caitlin Sent on 07/06/2018My wedding at Shawnee was 6/29/18 and it felt like a fairytale! We had an outdoor ceremony, my own horse brought me to the altar, and we had a bonfire and s'mores all night. It felt like summer camp for adults!! They really are flexible and gave us freedom to do what we wanted and you didn't feel babysat. The open bar was extremely generous and all staff were friendly and welcoming. The weather was gorgeous and we even swam in the Delaware the next day. The only thing is that rooms are expensive and some are in need of repair. I romped outdoors all night and only slept in my room for 3 hours so it did not bother me, just some of our guests. You take a risk for the weather, but if you get a great weather day, it is a storybook wedding with a view to die for.
Our wedding coordinator (Tabitha) was very accommodating and worked with us to make sure we had all of the options we wanted for our wedding. Like the review stated before me, on the day of your event, you really do have to coordinate things yourself and also supply everything: cake knife, toasting flutes etc. At times, it felt a little hectic, but once the ceremony was complete, the whole night was stress-free. You'd really have to search far and wide for a more beautiful backdrop for a wedding and I'd say the price we paid was cheaper than other venues we looked into in the NJ/PA surrounding areas. -

Loved the food and service
We love the food at the venue and the price. We had a couple issues with the event planner forgetting major details such a times and where our ceremony would be
.. Caused a bit of stress. Also I do not recommend staying overnight. But the catering staff, service, and food are the best for the money. Beautiful reception and thankful shawnee was there for us and our guests. -

Everything else: When we were finally invited to a tasting a mere two months before our wedding, it was just ok. The banquet food did not compare to the fare at the Gem and Keystone, but it was too late to change anything. Communication before our wedding was only so-so. I always assumed that weddings that were happening before ours took precedence, and I was ok with that. However, when it was time to finalize our details I felt rushed. It was almost like we were forgotten about and then squeezed in. On our wedding day Simone disappeared right after our reception entrance. She did not give our timeline to the wait staff. After our 1st dance the maitre'd asked me when we were doing parent dances, serving dinner, toasts, etc. I asked them if they had a timeline, and they said no. Why did Simone ask me to make and share a timeline if she wasn't going to be at the wedding reception or share it with the staff who was? Because of this miscommunication, our bar was not open as we requested. We wanted it to close for 30 min during dinner and 30 min at the end of the reception. Simone assured us that this would work out fine, but they closed an hour before the reception ended when the party was in full swing. The wait staff also forgot all kid's meals and all 7 high chairs, despite me clearly labeling each table on the diagram Simone provided and asked me to use with highchairs and meals. I am not sure if she didn't share it with the wait staff, or if they just didn't use it. I would have hired a day-of-coordinator if I knew that Simone wouldn't be present for our full wedding day. Back when we booked I asked if we could or should hire a DOC. Simone told me that she performed that function, and I was not permitted hire an outside coordinator to work in their venue. I guess you get what you pay for?
