Take me back...
Settler's Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. It was magical, romantic, and breathtaking! We held our ceremony near the river, cocktail hour was held in the garden, and the reception was near the river underneath a beautiful clear-top tent. We also rented out Grant's Woods for an after-party space that had cabins, a fire pit, and string lights through the trees. It was amazing.
Chef Kate and her staff made our menu dreams come true! She was fantastic from our tasting to the reception. Our guests are still raving about the filet!
Tiffany was our wedding coordinator for our event. She was fantastic. My husband and I had a lot of requests and she accommodated us on everything! She gave us a lot of insight on what we may and may not need which was great. She was there early in the day until the end of our wedding making sure everything went smoothly.
Overall, The Settler's Inn was an incredible spot for our wedding. We wish we could do it all again!Settler's Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. It was magical, romantic, and breathtaking! An amazing Inn nestled in the Pocono Mountains- the Settlers is already a beautiful place to vacation all year round. When you add their amazing restaurant it just brings the deal to outstanding. Settlers Inn catered my wedding reception, This was their first time doing an off-site catering and it was perfect, Food was fresh, delicious and timely. Staff was courteous helpful and fast. We loved our vendor!!! We were married in January and the staff made sure that my family and friends were warm and cozy after coming in to negative temperatures. They were willing to work with me on a shoe string budget. Not overbearing when it came to planning and did a wonderful job with the food, space and lodging for my guests. The cake was made on site and we had the chance to talk to the chef personally a number of times. We loved our vendor!!! My husband and I are both originally from the East Coast now living in the Arizona desert. So when we were deciding on our wedding plans we knew a fall wedding back east was for us.
We planned our entire wedding from our computers 3,000+ miles away and relied entirely on word of mouth, reviews and instinct.
When we saw the website for the Settler's Inn, we were immediately enamored. It was everything we wanted our wedding to be, warm, welcoming, intimate, quaint and peaceful. Jeanne was a pleasure to work with. She was always willing and able to answer any of our questions and concerns promptly, which left us feeling at ease throughout the planning process.
The Settler’s Inn itself was everything we dreamed and hoped it would be from the pictures and descriptions we received. It has an extremely warm and welcoming “country home” like feel. The food they received high praises for was in fact wonderful. We chose the elegant menu and everyone was very impressed. I would highly recommend the NY strip steak, duck and lamb. During our cocktail hour we chose an artisanal cheeseboard, which was fantastic. They presented it with a huge “crockpot” like container full of fresh hot apple cider, which was to die for!
The property was also as expected. It was beautiful with all of the fall decorations and the changing leaves. It made a gorgeous background in many of our photos.
I would highly recommend this venue for smaller weddings, where you would like a comfortable, warm and welcoming place for you and your guests that will still maintain a sense of elegance that is appropriate for the occasion.

We had our wedding ceremony at Ledges Hotel. The hotel used to be a glass factory. It's a stone building in a gorge. They have a beautiful back deck with a waterfall into the gorge and sun decks tracing up one side of the gorge. It was breathtaking and we knew that was where we wanted to day our "I dos" to each other in front of our loved ones.
We had our reception at the Settlers Inn, which is owned by the same owner as the hotel. It is the complete opposite of the hotel. Where the hotel was all stone and water, the inn was wood and flowers (arts and crafts they call it). It was perfect for our small wedding. The food was delicious and so was our cake. They also had great vendors to recommend to us since we live in NYC and didn't know anyone in the area. all the vendors we used on their list did absolute fabulous jobs.
Everyone was nice in helping us at Settlers/Ledges. I do think that there could be a little more organization with the person who acts as your liaison with the venue and helps you plan out how the day will go. It wasn't a huge deal since my fiance and I are very detail oriented but we had a few mishaps along the planning process. Settlers/Ledges were very helpful in finding solutions and offering deals to make up for any mistakes. The day still went off without a hitch and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had our wedding ceremony at Ledges Hotel. The hotel used to be a glass factory. It's a stone building in a gorge.
