First, you will not get better quality pictures from any other "photo booth" style photography set up anywhere else. I have seen them all, have been to a million weddings and events and the Self Portrait Project is hands down, the best. The lighting, the background, the camera height, right down to the remote, it's all just perfect and every photo is absolutely beautiful. Second, Andy, besides being an insanely talented photographer, is an incredible human being.
My wedding had been planned, like most are, months in advance... guests, rentals, DJ's, all set and ready to go... and then Hurricane Irene decided she was going to crash it, didn't care about anyone or anything, she was coming- invited or not. We decided to go on with the wedding plans and Andy, knowing that we were going to be hit (most likely a direct hit) and that there was a very high probability he may be stranded with us STILL SHOWED UP. This man and this photo booth saved my wedding. Had he not made it, our main source of entertainment, it would have been a disaster. It kept all of us having fun into the wee hours of the night, laughing instead of obsessing about the terrible storm just outside the barn that we were set up in! Andy did end up getting stranded, in fact he missed his Buck Hunter Competition that weekend in NYC because he was stuck in a hotel room in middle of nowhere Vermont, a competition he was the champion of for years prior. Point is, Andy will show up as a great human as much as he'll show up as a brilliant photographer. My hurricane wedding is still infamous among my friends, everyone who stuck it out still says it was the best wedding ever and I know it was because of Andy and that damn photo booth. -

My wife and I first experienced the Self Portrait Project at a bar on her birthday in Brooklyn, which had a "photo booth" set up outside on the window that captured the cutest photos with excellent quality. Months later, as we were deciding what fun extra thing we could add on for our guests at our wedding, our very first thought was SPP.
Our guests had a BLAST with the booth. Set up was seamless, and the photographer they provided to assist with the operations was very sweet and helpful. The concept is so cool and novel, and we could tell our guests really enjoyed the experience of taking pictures themselves, which they could get from a QR code. We also received a folder of all of the photos all of our guests took, and they were the perfect combination of beautiful and hilarious. I'll also mention quality again - everyone literally looked like a model in the pictures. Please work with SPP!!!! It is worth every penny! -

We had a vendor fall through last minute and needed to re-book a Photo Booth and thank god we did because Andy and Self Portrait Project was a dream! This was the coolest and most unique experience and our guests absolutely loved it! The team was so helpful and able walk even the older guests through how to join in on the fun. Everyone left saying they never felt more stunning than in those pictures! Thank you team at Self Portrait Project! You made our night!! -

I’ve been familiar with the Self Portrait Project (SPP) for years, so when it came to booking a Photo Booth for our wedding there was no question about what we would use.
SPP is not your run of the mill photo booth. The set up is small, unobtrusive - you can fit it just about anywhere - and it is beautifully designed. And it’s a mirror! So you can see the picture you’re about to take, and you control when you take it, which results in a lot of really beautiful, really fun photos.
Our guests loved it so much that some of them had to be dragged away to give others a turn! And the lighting SPP uses is divine - everyone looks gorgeous in all of the photos. They also have a ton of fun extras, like time lapses of all the photos after the event, additional photo printing, and photo recognition so people can see all of the photos they are in.
On top of that, Andy and his team were super communicative and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, even providing us with extra prints after the fact because our guests got over zealous and printed so many extras during the wedding that we ran out of paper!
I cannot rave about SPP enough - if I ever throw another big event, they will definitely be there! If you are debating hiring them - just do it. You will be so happy that you did. -

We are so thrilled to have had The Self Portrait Project at our wedding! We first saw Andy at a wedding in Brooklyn at Crest Hardware, and we had so much fun taking pictures all night! We loved his creative take on the photo booth with the reflective mirror. We reached out shortly after and asked if he would do our wedding in the Outer Banks, and he quickly responded that he would!
From the moment we reached out to him, Andy was incredibly responsive, friendly, and professional. On our wedding day, the photo booth was an absolute hit with our guests! Everyone had a blast capturing silly and heartfelt moments, and the photos turned out amazing—so much fun and laughter in every picture! It truly added a unique and memorable touch to our celebration.
I feel a little cooler just knowing Andy Lin. Witnessing his creative mind and artistic flair through photos is truly amazing.
We wholeheartedly recommend The Self Portrait Project to anyone looking for an unforgettable photo booth experience that will elevate their event. You won’t be disappointed!

This was such a beautiful touch to our wedding. Good guest participation and wonderful photographs. More sophisticated than the traditional selfie booth. We were able to have guests stand under the wedding arch so all of the pictures are beautiful. No backdrop was needed due to the flexibility of the product. You can't go wrong. -

The quality that you received when working with The Self-Portrait Project is truly unparalleled. The photos are breathtaking resolution and there were so many incredible gems that we found from friends and family. Having control of the photos makes for some unforgettable moments, some of my favorite shots of the wedding came from this album. If you're looking for a photobooth, I can't recommend this option enough. Additionally, Andy and his team are outstanding to work with. Andy and Heather were amazing. Although we had a photographer and a QR code for uploading photos from the guests, the photo booth was by far the runaway hit of the wedding, even beating the sushi boat! 10/10 must have if you want guests to have a keepsake opt in for the printer as well. -

If you want utterly STUNNING, high-quality photos that you and your guests will obsess over, hire The Self-Portrait Project. First of all the look of the "photo booth" is super minimal and classy. Second, it's super simple and easy (and fun!) to use. Third, the images are leagues beyond any other photo booth I've seen! They're bright, flattering, sharp, bold, and really dynamic. If you opt to add in printing (and you should) the hard copies that come out are TOP QUALITY! If you care about photography, this is the photo booth for you. Plus, the team was friendly, professional, and really easy to work with. They were incredibly flexible and patient when it came to booking since wedding planning can be hectic and stressful, and I am SO glad I got them for our event. -

Deciding to go with The Self-Portrait Project was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding. Andy was fantastic to work with from the beginning, he was thoughtful and attentive to any concerns we had, and continued to be wonderful throughout. We almost went with a more traditional Photo Booth, but let me tell, we’re so happy we didn’t. The Self-Portrait Project is so much more than just a photo booth — it’s interactive, and engaging, and perfect for larger-group shots, and really just so much fun. Not to mention it looks really elegant and ‘sexy’. I could go on and on, but I’ll finish by saying, do yourselves (and your guests) a favor and spend a little more for The Self-Portrait Project at your wedding. It’s so worth it. -

I cannot say enough good things about Self Portrait Project, hands down the best wedding decision we made! Every aspect of the experience was seamless, from setup to receiving all 700+ photos (!!) in a digital album after our wedding. Our guests are still raving out the experience, and the photos are absolutely stunning! Some of my favorite photos of the night were taking in the Self Portrait Project booth. The photos are stunning high-quality portraits! The booth itself is beautiful, such a fun addition to our wedding decor!
I luckily had the pleasure of also working with Andy and team at an Audemars Piguet event, on both occasions the professionalism and photos were top-notch!
I highly recommend!! -

I've had the pleasure of working with Self Portrait Project for many years now in my capacity as an event planner, and when planning our own wedding, there was never any question they'd be part of our big day. Andy, who runs SPP, is truly the kindest human, and has created a unique photobooth experience that captures people at their best. We booked Andy's team's service for our wedding and had the projection, printing & timelapse add ons. They were SO worth it!! The photobooth alone is already a huge hit and great fun - we had many guests compliment on how they loved being able to time their own shots. The quality of the images are really good. With the projection, guests could really also enjoy their own photos real-time, and they were reminded to come out and play in the booth. My only VERY minor comment is that we wish the printing was a bit more prominent since many guests missed it! Other than that, highly highly highly recommend these guys. The quality of their service is unmatched. -

The Self-Portrait Project was an incredible addition to our special day. The photos are by far the sharpest I've seen in any photo booth, and the way folks take their pictures makes it so fun and interactive. Instructions were super easy, and folks were able to immediately download and post pics (many of them made it their profile pictures!). Andy was awesome and the photo booth was a hit all night long. I cannot recommend this enough! -

Unlike those underwhelming, cramped photo booth pictures, Self Portrait delivered top-notch quality photos that surpassed all expectations. Our guests were thrilled to take home these high-quality images as cherished wedding mementos. What's even more amusing is that some of my friends even used their Self Portrait photos as professional profile pictures for work. The level of fun and versatility provided by Self Portrait is simply outstanding. I'd use them again for other occasions. -

I wanted something more non-traditional than a standard photo booth and was so excited I found The Self-Portrait Project. They were so easy to work with and they helped my whole vision come to life. Image attached shows the plant installation I had as the backdrop for this photo booth so they really worked to make sure they could capture the background along with the guests. I would also highly recommend adding the image projection to your photo booth experience. Guests loved being able to see all the cute and funny photos they took projected onto the wall at the wedding in real time. Run, don't walk! -

The Self Portrait Project was the perfect addition and ice breaker to our wedding where we had a broad range of friends and relatives from around the world. When people frame their own shots and others would join in on the fun, it served as a fun keepsake for everyone (made the best wedding album for us!!) but also led to new fast friends. Wedding photography is great, but SPP really captures the playful and joyous side of your loved ones who got all fancy to share in your biggest day. Highly recommended!!! -

The best way to capture the day!
The Self-Portrait Project is such a fun, cool, professional way to capture memories. We have hundreds of fantastic photos from guests at our wedding, and looking at them now takes me right back to the day. We've commissioned the Self Portrait Project for several special occasions (including birthdays, events, and our wedding), and continue to be amazed by the experience. Andy is professional and a pleasure to coordinate with, and the photo booth installation is premium yet understated... perfectly blending into any setting, be that formal or informal. The simple mirrored setup is irresistible to guests and was easily the most engaging and interactive element of our wedding (other than the ceremony itself, of course).
Most importantly, you're left with premium quality, intimate, and distinctive photos beyond what would ever be possible from a photographer. We couldn't recommend The Self Portrait project more. -

The coolest part about the Self Portrait Project is that you control when the photo is taken so every shot is perfect. Also the portraits are absolutely gorgeous. The owner Andy was such a pleasure to work with. He was meticulous about the details: from the backdrop, to lighting, to setup, and final product. People still talk about these portraits 4 years later! We also used the photos in our wedding album and even sent guests prints in our thank you cards. I love seeing the photos on refrigerators, in photo frames, and even profile pics of our friends and families. Every year we look back at these photos and remember how much fun our wedding was. -

The Self Portriat Project is the best photo booth / photo service for an event that you can get.
First, the product is amazing. I've never seen a better photo of myself or my family taken. Doesn't everyone love a good selfie? Pair that with a fuller length photo, your favorite people, excellent lighting and unique / customizable backdrops - I'm not sure what else you could want.
Second, the SPP team is excellent. They are fast, responsive and flexible. They are professional on site, adapt to any situation that arises, and turn around final files at lightening speed so you can share with your family and friends.
If I could, I would have SPP at any event I host, and I know know my wedding guests would agree. Andy and his team are the best, bar none. -

Self Portrait Project -- Instantaneously elevates any party
When it came time to plan the wedding the first thing I knew I needed was Self-Portrait Project.
I had no clue how much our guests would LOVE it.
Plus, my wife and I now have the best collection of photos that document all the fun our guests had.
As a bonus, we could cut back on our Photographer budget because we knew SPP would ensure all the happy faces at our event were beautifully archived for the rest of our lives. If you're like me, you hate those tacky props that some use in similar setups. SPP and their owner/operator Andy instantly elevate the cool factor on any party. -

The Photographers Photo Booth
Andy (owner) has created a one of a kind experience that captures your special event artistically without the need for silly props etc. The Self-Portrait project captures amazing moments organically allowing the user to take pictures themselves at anytime without any countdowns etc. Think of this as the photographers photo booth. We used this system at our wedding and they may be our favorite images from our wedding. Your guests will absolutely love it too. The devices design is simple, lightweight, easy to use and movable. In our case we were able to set it up in two different spots of the venue for the reception, and after party. We had full color pictures at one spot and beautiful black and white images at another, it’s versatility is unmatched. Andy is possibly the nicest person to work with, he is super helpful and responsive to our requests. Highly recommend to those that want a photo booth that is both bespoke and high quality. -

MUST-HAVE Photobooth for your wedding!!!!
The Self Portrait Project is the best photobooth experience!! The pictures are GORGEOUS and it’s so elevated. My guests were obsessed (and they looked great). It added such a fun component to the wedding and the share feature is so easy, everyone got to easily send to themselves, and many framed them! I even printed each guests and included it in my thank you card for an added effect. This was a wedding game changer!
The owner Andy is the absolute coolest - such a professional and easy to work with.

Best Photobooth Experience Ever
This was the perfect addition to our party. So much fun for everyone, super interactive, and we have an amazing collection of 100s of our guests captured in ways our photographer never could. Just amazing all around! -
