Nancy went above and beyond my expectations—I couldn’t have imagined a better experience! From the moment I walked in, her energy and excitement were contagious. Unlike other places I visited, Nancy was genuinely thrilled to be part of this process, which instantly made me feel at ease.
When I asked about placing the buttons down, she didn’t hesitate for a second. Not only did she embrace the idea, but she also came up with a creative solution to make the bow detachable. This way, I could bustle the dress while still showing off the beautiful bow. Her ingenuity and attention to detail were unmatched, and it was clear she had a true passion for what she does.
Nancy left no doubt in my mind that she could get everything done perfectly. She even managed to improve the fit around my chest, which I hadn’t expected but was beyond grateful for. To top it all off, her pricing was incredibly reasonable for the level of skill, care, and creativity she brought to the table.
If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about their work and making you feel amazing, Nancy is the person to go to. She made what could have been a stressful process into a joyful, exciting, and memorable experience!The Seamstress's reply:

Highly recommend!

Amazing work!
Nancy did an absolutely fantastic job with my wedding dress alterations! I was fairly nervous due to the amount of beading and detail on the dress, but it turned out amazing! Ideally, we advise our brides to schedule their initial fitting 6 to 8 weeks prior to the wedding date. Fitting too early can create more adjustments, but too close, it can be stressful and risky.

I bought a designer dress from Sarah Seven and the store told me Nancy at The Streamstress was the only alterations place they would recommend handle my dress because of Nancy's experience with their fabrics and dresses. Nancy was way faster than I'd expected, a reasonable price (for a wedding dress), and super easy to work with. She also included thoughtful details like changing out the hanger straps for easier removal on the day of the wedding and making a mask for me that matched the dress fabric and color. Would definitely recommend! I got so many compliments on my dress.The Seamstress's reply:

Turned Out Great!
I was referred to Nancy by Pat at White Blossom Bridal. She told me she was very well versed in bustling trains and pulling up the straps of my dress. My gown was all lace and I was very concerned that it would ripped or torn as my train was very long! Nancy did an amazing job pinning everything up for me to see what it would look like before I made any final decisions. Her prices were completely reasonable and she did a great job making everything perfect!The Seamstress's reply:

During this time of COVID, she was still able to provide a safe space for my mother and a couple members of my bridal party to view my dress during the appointment. Flawless and Stress Free
As if planning a wedding during COVID wasn't stressful enough, we also added a move to the mix. My local wedding became a destination and we overcame many challenges to make our wedding happen. I didn't have time to shop around so I can't comment on the price. My friend recommended her and I'm so happy she did. She did an incredible job! Tara Sent on 03/10/2017Judi is a fairy godmother with the ability to make your dress shine, not a genie in a bottle granting wishes! I bought a beautiful princess wedding dress and Judi and her team made the dress perfect for me. Off the rack the dress made my boobs look cone shaped and the neck tie looked sloppy. Judi made alterations around the chest to give me a nice round chest and turned the straps at the top into a clasp which elevated the overall look of the dress.
When I went for my first fitting Judi asked if I would like for her to sew in the corset I purchased to wear under the dress and cut it down so it did not appear at the top of the dress. I didn't even know this was a possibility. Having my undergarment in the dress gave me an added sense of security I didn't even know I wanted. Judi also taught my sister how to bussel the dress so she knew what to do the day of my wedding.
For the people that purchase dresses that are too small for them or that gain weight after purchasing their dress you cannot go in and expect Judi to make you smaller... it just doesn't work like that. If you think you are going to lose 20 pound in 2 months... Realty check... you mostly likely won't.
Judi is loving and kind and provides all of the right support that you need leading up to your big day! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Judi!! <3 -

Nancy was a delight in the middle of my pandemic wedding planning
Getting married in the middle of a pandemic was not an easy thing to plan. I got my dress 1 month before my August wedding and I immediately started calling around to see who would be able to tailor my dress in time. I got quite a few “you need 10+ weeks” or “with that short of a turn around it will be expensive.” Finally my friend found Nancy and she was a delight! She said she could have my dress ready in just a couple weeks and was estimating to be half of what everyone else’s beginning prices were! When we went to take my dress in we became a little worried about the fit of the dress, quarantine pounds had definitely gotten to me, and the dress ordered in my size 6months prior was a bit small on the top, once again the wonderful Nancy said that it wouldn’t be a problem and said she’d be able to pull from the seams on the dress and the zipper to make it fit and she pulled it off perfectly! While she had my dress she trimmed off some of the extra fabric and set up the bustle for me. The length was perfect all around! The only downside was the bustle, it sadly did not stay up and I found myself tripping over the back side and in the bathroom trying to pin it up quite often, luckily I had a friend who needed just two safety pins and she helped pin it up and get it out of the way. Nancy was an absolute delight and she managed to do what seemed impossible in fitting me in my dress in such a short amount of time. My friend got her bridesmaid dress hemmed as well and I plan on going back to Nancy whenever I need something tailored.The Seamstress's reply:

We are so sorry to hear about the bustle. All of our efforts to make it versatile can be at risk if someone steps on and danages the hooks and/or connectors. Also. It is hard for the bride to reconnect it., so we usually recommend a bridesmaid or someone to help. Otherwise, this should have been the best since we were so happy to turn it around in a short notice for you.
